It was just like any other day on the island, standard guard patrols, beating the POW's over the head for not complying with orders, the usual thing.

It was a hot day, hotter then most days in the middle of the ocean on a small militarized island. Not like many of the men stationed on the island could complain, compared to the hell that was the frontlines a little heat was nothing.

Vigil island for the past two years has remained under Brownpants control and away from the frontlines, meaning that the weapons and research branch of the military had a place to test their new and destructive idea's with minimal casualties.

With the war with the Greenbelts and Graycollers going into a stalemate of epic proportions the General's wanted weapons capable of ending the deadlock and bringing full Brownpants dominance to the region.

Of course that's were vigil island comes into play. With it centered near the frontlines but still far enough away the research department could experiment with these new weapon idea's and be almost completely under cover as most focus would be on ending the stalemate that their enemy's would hardly pay attention to their operations in the region.

The manner in which these weapons were tested were hardly....humane often using live prisoner's as test subjects for these weapons as to see their true destructive capabilities.

These weapons ranged from light hand held battle rifles all the way up to destructive WMD's.

Many other projects were tested on the island....the most prominent being the teleportation technology being developed for advanced deployment of troops behind enemy defensive lines.

The idea of teleportation intrigued many of the bigwigs as they saw it as a means to cut down on airplane production for paratroopers and supplies. But many of the scientific staff on the island were skeptical of the idea, that and the fact that the idea it's self was ludicrous.

Even so testing continued, often using live prisoner's to see how effective the technology was...which resulted with many calls to the janitorial services for cleaning.

The island by military standard's was heavily fortified and had a strong garrison stationed on the island to repeal any assault force that may attack the island...but even with the island's location away from the frontlines this did not stop information beaches and spying on Brownpants operations and technology.

For over a year now a specialized taskforce made up of highly trained operators were set up by Greenbelt high command in order to figure out what truly goes on at vigil island and eventually take over the island's technology for their side of the war.

But it does not stop their, Greycoller spy network's have also picked up information on the island's true nature and they want the technology for their side as well.....

With a new battle brewing on over the horizon a new chapter of war will begin soon....
