Principal's Office
Celestia Daymont, Principal of Canterlot High, lived, ate, and slept in her office while school was out. So far, only one day was left in summer break, and soon, school would resume. For Celestia, that meant more magical incidents she could barely cover up as is. Right now, she was working on attendance when the phone rang.
"Ah, hello?" she asked.
"Ah, Principal Celestia?" said a male, rather weak voice. "This is Irving Slimovitz, Principal of Norrisville High. We met at the State Convention?"
"Yes, we did!" Celestia said. "How are you?"
"I'm fine. Listen, I need something to do before school starts, and I just so happen to have an idea that could benefit both of our schools."
"Do tell." Celestia replied.
"Well, our schools haven't met since...well, a while. I was thinking you take a few students at your school and come to Norrisville, and I do the same with Canterlot High?"
"That sounds pleasant." Celestia said. "However, I must ask you something. Does your school experience any unexplainable, destructive, or otherwise downright unbelievable events?"
"Oh, all the time." Slimovitz replied. "Don't worry, usually when they come up, they're solved pretty quickly. Also, it helps our insurance has very good coverage for monster/mutated student or killer robot attacks. They thought I was joking when I first came in!"
"Excuse me" Celestia asked. "Killer robots? Monsters?"
"Yeah, we have those every so often." Irving said. "Don't worry, we have a good way of dealing with them. Plus the school's been rebuilt, I don't know, upwards of ten times now. It's built to resist anything!"
"I'll take your word for it." Celestia said. "So, when shall we begin?"
"First day works for me." Slimovitz sighed. "Ah, school, what would we do without you?"
"I do not know." Celestia said. "I'll prepare on my end, and you do the same."
"You got it!" Silmovitz replied. "See you soon!"
As the call ended, Celestia smiled as she opened her desk drawer for the necessary paperwork.

Canterlot Apartments
Condo 31A
"Sunset, it's unbelievable!" said a rainbow-haired girl. "We have to back to school tomorrow!"
"It is the end of vacation." Rarity replied. "And calm down, it won't kill you."
"We're Sophomores!" Rainbow replied. "The homework will most definitely kill me, if the lunch doesn't do it first!"
As the girls laughed, Sunset Shimmer brought in a microwaveable pizza for all of them.
"So, Sunset?" Fluttershy asked. "How exactly did you afford this place?"
Truth be told, the condo was rather spacious and well-furnished, despite the usual untidiness apparent of a high school student.
"I may have smuggled in some bits from Equestria and pawned them for enough cash to buy the whole condo." Sunset said.
"Bits?" Applejack asked.
"Equestrian Gold Coins." Sunset said. "Our dollar bill, basically."
"That's incredibly unreliable from an economic standpoint." said the Human Twilight Sparkle. "Why gold?
"It's been used ever since the founding of Equestria." Sunset said. "Plus, they're nearly 95 percent pure gold. Even if you can't buy or sell with them, they're always worth something as a trade commodity."
"True." Rarity said. "How a market relying on pure gold coins as common currency could be so stable is fascinating! I wonder what Equestria's GDP is…"
Everyone stared at Rarity.
"What? My dad's an economist, after all!" Rarity said. "That's how I get all the materials I need to make my lines! It doesn't pay for itself, you know!"
"Also true." Pinkie said. "So, how much did you get for them?"
"Like I said, enough to buy the whole condo. Don't worry, it's all in the bank. Now, let's eat some Pizza." Sunset said. "It's not going to devour itself, girls."
That was proven true, as the pizza was soon gone like the summer days.

Norrisville
Albany Park Suburbs
"Cunningham, it's so STUPID!" said one Howard Weinerman. "Why do we have to go back to school?"
"Oh, I don't know." Randy Cunningham, the Ninja of Norrisville, retorted. "How about we need a high school diploma to do basically anything with our lives in the future?"
"Since when do you care about that?" Howard replied. "I mean, we're two sophomores, previously freshmen, and now you're caring about life after school?"
"Yeah, you're right." Randy said, furiously throttling his video game controller's sticks and buttons. "I have to admit, you'd Grave Puncher would get old. Suprisingly, it does not."
As Howard rolled over and picked up his own controller, Randy felt surpisingly optimistic about this new year of school.
"Howard?"
"Yeah?"
"You think we'll ever get girlfriends?" Randy asked.
"No clue, my friend." Howard replied. "You think out of all the fish in the sea, none take our bait."
"True." Randy said.
"There's also the fact that we keep casting into the sea, which is fun all of itself." Howard continued.
"Also true."
"So, I guess it all works out." Howard replied.
"Definitely true." Randy said. "Now, shut up and let's punch some graves."
As the two boys resumed their reverie of punching virtual gravestones, Randy peeked over at the Ninja Nomicon, which was glowing.
"Punch for me." Randy said, taking out the mystical book, opening it then promptly passing out.
====
Randy appeared inside the Nomicon's temple area, and sat down cross-legged.
"So, what's all this about?" he asked.
Then, red letters appeared in front of him.
YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE IS COMING.
My next challenge?" Randy asked. "What could it possibly be? The Sorcerer's done for, not sure about McFist, but he's most likely done for...what next?"
A NEW THREAT IS COMING, ONE THAT WILL TEST YOU LIKE NONE OTHER.
"So…" Randy mused. "Is that my Sophomore year in High School, or what? Is that right?"
NO.
"Drat." Randy moaned. "So, what do I need to know?"
The wind swirled Randy away to a mountaintop shrine, and sitting there was a new Ninja Mask. It now featured a stripe down the middle of the face, and a v-shaped, dragon-like maskl on the front. Below it lay a new sword, like the one the Sorcerer had destroyed. However, this one had runes carved into the hilt, and a longer, thinner blade.
"So BRUCE!" Randy said, taking the Mask and Sword. He placed the mask on, and felt the familiar rush of strength and speed flow through him. As he looked over his new suit, he couldn't help but smile. His lower arms now had Gauntlets shaped like Dragon's heads, and a woven vest inscribed with runes lay on his chest.
"EPIC!" Randy said, then one of the trees poked him on the shoulder.
A NEW POWER MEANS NEW LESSONS TO LEARN, WHICH WILL TEST YOU HARSHLY.
"Right." Randy said, sheathing his new sword. "Where do I start?"
On that note, the Nomicon ejected him, and Randy woke up to Howard poking his forehead.
"What, what'd I miss?" Randy said.
"Grave Punching. Now." Howard said, handing him his controller. The two boys promptly resumed where they left off, not caring in the world that they had school tomorrow.
