Daring Do and The Jeweled Opal

With reckless abandon you blinding dash into the dimly lit room. Armed only with your whip and your pre-existing knowledge of the room, you make a beeline straight for the stranger. You can hear the intruder yell out second before you make contact with his body. With bull like and brutish strength, you shove him straight to the ground, slamming him into the floorboards. The impact knocks the wind out of the stranger's lungs, nearly knocking him unconscious by the looks of things.

You quickly hop back to your feet, ready to beat the stranger senseless without giving him a second to fight back. Only, just as you climb back up, you notice in the dim light that the stranger isn't getting up as quickly as you. In fact he remains groaning on the ground, struggling to even move.
