Hey, this is my first MLP fanfic, I hope its alright?

Prologue

Lunar sighed as she looked over the destruction taking place in the crystal empire. She had hoped this would be her home for the time being but it was almost as if danger followed her.

She looked down at the snow surrounding her feet and wondered if this was how her whole life would be. Living in constant movement, unable to relax. A deep scream reached her ears and made her look up in surprise. Lunar had not expected to hear the Dark creature in such agony. From where she was atop of a snow covered mountain she had not been able to see much of the battle but this, this she was.

The blinding blue light exploding outwards into rainbow streaks made her shield her eyes and flinch as she felt the burn of the sun on her snout.

She pulled the hood further over her nose creating a protective shadow. Lunar hated her weakness.

She was about to turn away from the now glowing city when a thud was heard to her left. Getting into a defensive stance she looked over only to find nothing there.

Squinting her eyes against the brightness of the sun she frowned and made her way over. Her ears folded back in surprise and she blinked down at the red horn.

Lunar’s first instinct was to leave it there but it was as if it was calling out to her. Reaching out with her magic she checked to see if the horn was a danger to her before leaning down and taking it between her sharp teeth. She didn’t like using her magic.

Lunar dropped it into her satchel and made her way down the now snow free mountain.
