Crown Prince Richter is an anomaly.

Entering this world as a child of Princess Cadance and Shining Armour, he was born without the full power of an Alicorn. Not only that, he was also born with none of the natural strength imbued within his predecessors. For all it matters, Crown Prince Richter is human, just as his father was before him. Sadly, despite his lack of power when compared to his family, he is still called on by his people to come to their aid whenever they need it, as that is the sworn duty of the Alicorn... genetically weakened, or not. It was manageable, for the most part.

That was until adulthood came knocking and dumped a whole heap of royal responsibilities on him that he'd rather not entertained. Though, thanks to his father's good word, Richter has found himself involved with the more physical duties of a Crown Prince, the likes of slaying evil kings and cutting down vile bandits, rather than court proceedings and political discourse. Save that for the actually intelligent members of the family.

So with his new duties stapled to him, the first adventure of many was to assess the situation of a kingdom facing a rebellion and report back to the Equestrian crown to determine whether or not their input is necessary to help end the conflict. Surely there's no way that can do wrong.

A/N: This story is a piece of 'swords and sorcery' fiction that features sex, but it is not the main focus of the story. A brief list of triggers would include incest, violence, gore, death, dismemberment, and all the other nasty things involved with a 'swords and sorcery' story with a mature rating.

This is also the third attempt to write a story in this universe and it is the most heavily-revised out of all of them. I offer my apologies to all those who have read the originals and have stuck around for my failures, but I also welcome all the new readers who are viewing this story and hope that it goes better this time than the last two.
