An anomalous energy burst is detected on Earth's Moon by Stargate Command's sensors. The Hammond is dispatched out with Colonel Cameron Mitchell and Lt Colonel Kerra Prower of SG-1. Kerra goes to the surface and locates the source of the burst, an alien woman that is somehow still alive despite not having a space suit on to protect her against hard vaccum.

Princess Luna was banished by the Elements of Harmony wielded by her sister Princess Celestia. The madness that was Nightmare Moon was suppressed and sealed away inside her. Now, stranded on a world not her own, Luna must atone for her mistakes and find a way to survive until she is able to return home to Terra and Equestria.
