Prologue-A Problem Solved by Blunt Force Trauma
Equestria
Ponyville Plains
"GIVE UP!" roared Tirek as he towered over his opponent. "I have won, Twilight Sparkle! Equestria is...MINE!"
"Not today! Not ever!" Twilight retorted, her friends in their new forms affirming it. "TAKE THIS!"
Twilight and her friends fired a massive rainbow-colored blast at the villain, who braced for impact. As the blast caused a massive explosion that pulsed through the air, Twilight and her friends watched the ash settle with bated breath.
"Did we win?" Rarity asked. Her question was answered as Tirek walked out, battered and bruised, but not beaten.
"Impressive." he scowled. "So there is still magic left in you. I will enjoy consuming it!"
Tirek started to draw in a breath, and Twilight began to recognize the effects of having her magic forcefully taken from her and her friends. As they drew back, they didn't notice a small object dive down from the clouds above…

Ten Minutes earlier...
"Rex?" said a voice of Agent Six in his ear. "Might I tell you this was not the plan?"
"You might." Rex Salazar replied, cracking his knuckles. "I still don't care."
"Of course." Six groaned. "Don't get killed, Rex."
"Trust me." Rex said, looking down at the battle from above, through an open hatch on the Providence Cruiser's hangar. Rex pulled a candy bar out of his pocket and opened it, savoring the chocolate with a smile.
"Doc?" Rex asked. "Mind telling me what I'm looking at?"
"Whatever the red one is, he's radiating an energy I've never seen before." Doctor Holliday replied. "I would advise you not intervene."
"Come on, Doc!" Rex protested, finishing his candy bar. "It's not like it could hit us! We're god-knows-how high in the air right now."
"Rex, patience." Holliday said. "We don't know what we've gotten ourselves into. Once we re-establish contact with White Knight, then we get to move in. We're under First Contact here, Rex."
"Eh, fine." Rex moaned, sitting down. "I never get to have any fun."
Then, a massive blast of energy tore through the sky and battered the cruiser, sending Rex to the floor.
"OW!" he yelped, standing up and rubbing the back of his head. "What was that?"
"That was a massive discharge of the energy I'm observing." Holliday replied. "Off the scale, from what the sensors are telling me."
"Great." Rex moaned. "NOW can I go and fight the big guy?"
"Rex, wait." Six interrupted. "We can't engage until we know what we're dealing with."
"You guys are seriously no fun." Rex sighed, sitting back down. "Guess I'm still a spectator, as always."

"Rex?" Holliday said as Rex continued to watch the fight.
"Yeah?" he moaned.
"Go ahead." Holliday said, the disapproval in her voice clear. "White Knight gave us the go-ahead to introduce ourselves."
"All I needed to hear." Rex said, taking a few steps back. "Watch me kick this red guy's ass in no time flat."
"Just be careful!..." Holliday said as Rex beamed. He leaped out of the carrier and down towards the battle below, activating his Smack Hands for an even quicker descent…
...and even more painful impact.

Tirek pounded against a shield the Elements had summoned, and it wasn't long before it shattered. As the Elements stood, paralyzed, Twilight saw her life flash before her eyes.
"Now Twilight Sparkle, you shall DIE!" he roared as he stood to crush them.
Twilight then saw a flash of orange come from behind Tirek, towards his head.
A sickening crunch echoed as Tirek was slammed into the ground by an unseen force. As his face tore into the earth, Twilight and the Elements gasped at the sudden show of power. As they scoured the area for the unseen contender, a voice spoke.
"Sorry, I don't think I'm letting anyone get pancaked today. Suena Bien?"
Twilight then saw something unbelievable land in front of her and her friends with a grunt of success.
A teenage human, but this human had colossal, metal fists extending from his arms. He wore a orange jacket with jeans, and aviator's goggles. As he stood up, the fists folded and shrunk into his body, leaving no trace they were ever there.
Suffice to say, Twilight and her friends dropped their jaws into the ground in no time flat.
"You know I've been watching for a bit, and I figured I might as well step in." the human said. "How's life, big guy?"
"YOU INSOLENT WORM!" Tirek roared. "Prepare to die!"
Tirek hurled a punch at the human, who merely scoffed. Suddenly, the metallic fists reappeared and stopped Tirek's attack cold. As the two beings struggled for power, Twilight and her friends looked on in shock.
"Twilight?" Applejack asked. "Is that…"
"Yeah. A human." Twilight replied. "A human is fighting Tirek."
"Who cares!?" Pinkie said, pulling out a sun-chair and a box of popcorn. "My Pinkie Sense is telling me one thing."
"What's that?" Rainbow asked.
"EPIC. FIGHT. SCENE!" Pinkie yelled. "Kick his flank, human!"
"You got it...pink horse thing?" Rex said giving a thumbs up. "Eh, watch me."
"FOOL!" Tirek roared, throwing a punch with his other fist. The human nonchalantly caught it for the second time, and proceeded to throw Tirek sideways into the ground once more.
"Feel like giving up?" Rex asked.
"NEVER! I, Lord Tirek, will make you pay!" Tirek screamed, charging up all of his stolen magic and firing it. As Twilight and her friends screamed, the human disappeared.

As Tirek looked down at the smoldering crater left behind, he laughed and laughed…
Until he felt a tap on his shoulder. Tirek turned to see the creature, now sporting some kind of winged pack, set himself down on his collarbone.
"Yeah, no thanks." the human laughed. "By the way, you have really horrible aim."
Tirek screamed in fury and prepared to smash the being flat with his palm. The human dodged at the last possible second, and let Tirek's hand collide with his shoulder blade. The resulting sound made the human smirk with pride.
"DAMN!" Tirek roared, holding his injured shoulder. "You filthy…"
"Yeah, yeah…" the human laughed. "Do me a favor, and call me an insult that's original."
"RAAAGH!" Tirek roared and raised both of his fists him to crush him. This time, Rex landed an uppercut that sent Tirek sprawling to the ground.
"Rex!" Holliday's voice echoed in his ear. "I've isolated the energy signature inside that thing! It's coming from its horns!"
"Say no more." Rex said, taking hold of Tirek's curved horns. "Time to bring you down to size!'
With that, his arms glowed white, and Tirek felt all the power he had consumed be torn out of his body by force. Rex, on the other hand, watched his vision go white as lightning arced around him.
"NOOO!" Tirek screamed as he began to diminish in size and strength. The human kept going, smiling as he did. As Tirek shrunk to his original size and collapsed, Rex saw a glowing, rainbow-colored orb emerge from the creature's head and settle in front of him.
"Doc, what is that?" he asked.
"I don't know." Holliday replied. "I'm usually not one to advise touching strange things emitting an unknown form of radiation, but in this case I'll make an exception."
"Good enough." Rex said as he touched the orb. Then everything went white.

Twilight and her friends felt their magic be returned to them, along with the magic belonging to the citizens of Equestria. As their Rainbow Forms faded and they returned to normal, they approached the human with caution. From his current state, he seemed to be unconscious.
"Is he alright?" Rainbow asked.
"I'm...ow...fine." the human said, opening his eyes. "Geez, that…"
He then noticed what he was looking at. He leaped to his feet and stared.
"...hurt." he said. "Umm...Doc?"
"Yes, Rex?" said a female voice, that seemed to be coming from nowhere. Twilight's eyebrows raised upon hearing it speak. Twilight was about to speak when the human interrupted her.
"Am I going to be chewed out by White Knight for this?" he asked.
"Oh, certainly." said another male voice, this one deep and authoritative. "Rex, I don't know what we've gotten ourselves into here. Do me a favor, and keep things calm. Why not introduce yourself"
"Sure thing." the human, apparently called Rex said as he offered his hand."So...hi, I'm Rex, and I really don't know what's...uh, going on here. Would you mind explaining?"
Twilight gulped, her eyes rolled up into her head, and she passed out.

Yep, new story. How Providence arrived in Equestria will be answered in the next chapter.
