That a creature so rare and exotic as myself was once a normal pony just like you.
Well, believe it or not, but that is what I used to be.
I had many names back before Celestia and Luna became rulers.
They called me Concordia; ancient draeconic for Harmony.
Ironic, given my current nature, but I wasn't always the spirit of chaos.
Once again, I was another pony just like you.
Well, except I was an alicorn.
My mate, whose name I have unfortunately long since forgotten, and I ruled Equestria in the thirty thousand years before the first Equestrian and Dragon war.
Peace was plentiful along with food and happiness.
It was during this time that my love and I decided to settle down, as Equestria, or as it was known back then as Concordias, did not need us for the moment.
We bore two beautiful alicorns late the next summer; your precious princesses.
Yes, you heard me right: I am their father.
