How Equestrian Aerospace was formed

Planetshine had once again made a new telescope with the help of her friend, Dr. Whooves. The new telescope has 5x the magnification of the last one, giving it crystal clear views of basically everything in the night sky. The two ponies placed down the telescope once it was twilight, and then they started to look into it, trying to find new things in the night sky.

Dr. Whooves was the first one to look through the telescope, finding a larger smudge on the telescope, just like last time. 'Planetshine, look,' he said.

Planetshine looked into the telescope, focusing on the large smudge. She then adjusted the telescope a little bit and saw some detail in that smudge. The smudge had 2 bright caps on its poles, barely visible from the surface of Equestria. She then handed the telescope to Dr. Whooves, who was curious about that object that was in the sky.

'Woah, that looks very clear, those caps are weird, I think that is a planet,' he replied, staring through the telescope.

Planetshine then looked into the telescope again, fine-tuning it so the image of the planet was very clear to the point that geographical features such as canyons were visible. Dr. Whooves then looked into it again, baffled that they discovered something new in the night sky, something that was only told in sci-fi stories.

The next day, the two ponies traveled to Canterlot, ready to show the princesses their new discovery. Once they entered the throne room, Planetshine said to Princess Celestia and Luna, 'Princess Celestia, Princess Luna, Dr. Whooves and I have discovered something new in the night sky with our new invention, the telescope.'

'What is it?' Princess Luna asked very curiously.

'There are planets in the night sky, you know, the ones in sci-fi books,' Dr. Whooves said.

'Interesting,' she said.

Princess Celestia was also curious, but her sister was much more interested in the topic as she was the princess who controlled the moon and the night sky. Since it was late in the afternoon, it was near Luna's time to raise the moon, and for Planetshine and Dr. Whooves, it was a good time to show off their new discovery to the princesses.

Once Princess Luna raised up the moon, the 2 ponies went out on the castle balcony, ready to show the princesses their new discovery. It took a while to find the planet, but once Planetshine found it, she handed the telescope to Princess Celestia and Luna. Celestia glanced at the planet quickly and let Luna stare at it for a long time. She stared at it for a long time, as in a LONG time.

Once Princess Luna finished starting into the planet, she said, 'I think we should try to go there.'

Planetshine replied, 'Uhh, I don't think you could teleport there.'

'Hmm, I guess your right, we don't even know the exact location of the planet, so we go there by using crafts used in sci-fi books.'

Planetshine and Dr. Whooves volunteered to go to the world out of Equestria. Luna was very happy that they volunteered, and then she ordered a space center built just north of Canterlot. Now they just need to build the space center and have more ponies that were willing to go to space.
