Twilight mumbled in annoyance before turning her head away from the blinding light, trying her best to continue sleeping. "Hmhm." Celestia giggled to herself looking at Twilight's sleeping form. She nuzzled Twilight's head, trying to get her up. "Love, it's time to get up." She whispered into her loves ear. Twilight slowly rose her head and rubbed her eyes with a hoof before yawning. "I'm up." She said groggily. Rubbing the rest of the sleep from her eyes, Twilight looked at her lover and gave her a morning kiss. "Good-morning Celly." Returning the kiss, Celestia looked at Twilight. "Good-morning Twily." They both got out of bed and went to go get ready for the day. Once they finished getting ready, Celestia put on her regalia before leaving the bedroom with her lover. Walking down the hallway towards the dinning hall to get breakfast they past a couple of maids and guards. All of them bowing to them as they walked past them. Celestia and Twilight couldn't be happier together. Celestia thought back to the day they got together when Twilight confessed her feelings to her. The way Twilight was stumbling over her words and blushing like a mad mare brought a smile to Celestia's face. "Pr-princess, I-I love you. Not as a student b-but in a romantic way." Celestia smiled happily before rushing up to Twilight and pulling her into a hug. "I never thought you would feel the same,Twilight." Celestia was brought out of her thoughts when they arrived at the dining hall. They opened the doors and walked to the dining table. Once they sat down they ordered their meals and talked to each other about what their doing today until their breakfast arrived. Once the servant placed the meals on the table he made a quick bow before leaving them. Eating a bit of her pancakes, Twilight turned to face her lover. "So Celly, I was wondering if you wanted to go out tomorrow. If you don't have anything planned that is." She asked shyly.'We've been dating for three years. I'm going to ask Celly to marry me tomorrow. Oh I hope she says yes.' Celestia tapped her chin with her hoof thinking. "I don't believe I have anything planned for tomorrow. So to fully answer your question Twily, I would love to." Twilight smiled brightly and gave Celestia a kiss before continuing her breakfast. While Celestia was eating, her mind went back to hers and Twilight's first date. 'Twilight wanted to have their first date in the gardens at night. Celestia sat next to Twilight with a wing draped over her back as they stared up at the stars. "It's a beautiful night isn't it Celestia?" Celestia chuckled. "Indeed it is. My sister is very talented when it comes to the night." Twilight turned to Celestia. "It's not as beautiful as you though." Blushing, Celestia stared at her student turned marefriend. "D-do you mean that?" Twilight leaned in close. "Every word." Twilight closed the gap and kissed Celestia on the lips passionately. Celestia was surprised at first but melted into the kiss after awhile.' Celestia smiled to herself. She was very fond of that memory and cherished every second of it. Finishing their breakfast they made their way to the throne room to begin their royal duties. Celestia remembered her first first joint court session with Twilight. She remembered how nervous Twilight was. "Is it fair to say that i'm extremely nervous right now Celly." Twilight was pacing back and forth. Celestia chuckled as she looked at her marefriends old habits. "It's ok to be nervous Twily. But remember, your not alone. I'll be there to guide you every step of the way. Don't worry." Celestia reassured as she walked up to Twilight and gave her a kiss on the cheek. Blushing from the kiss, Twilight looked at her lover in the eyes and composed herself. "Your right Celly, it'll be fine. Thank you." "Your very welcome my Twily. Now let us begin court." Celestia opened the doors to the throne room to begin court. Brought out of her thoughts again, they reached the throne room and opened the doors. Both walked up to their thrones and sat down. Celestia turned her head to Twilight and smiled. "Ready, Twilight?" Taking in a deep breath and letting it out, Twilight responded. "As i'll ever be." Nodding her head, she turned back to the door and used her magic to open them to officially begin court. 5 hours later Both Celestia and Twilight were really bored and it was very apparent on their faces. They got the same requests over and over. 'Lower taxes for the nobles.' Or, 'Force every non noble out of Canterlot. Both of the princesses were sick of these requests and denied them all. "I think there is one left." Twilight said relieved. "I hope so love. Because if I hear more of those ridiculous requests i'll go crazy." The final pony comes in and introduces herself as Mint Green. A unicorn. "So what is it that you wish." Celestia asked. "All I wish is that I give you a gift." Mint looked at Twilight while she said that. "You want to give me a gift?" Mint bowed her head. "Yes princess." Twilight looked at Celestia for a brief moment before getting up from her throne and walked towards Mint Green. Twilight stopped right in front of Mint. "What is it that you wish to give me?" Twilight asked curiously. Mint smiled evilly. "Oh, just this." Using her magic, Mint summoned a golden dagger and drove into Twilight's heart. Twilight fell to the ground dying while Mint just backed away laughing. Celestia rushed down from her throne and right to Twilight's dying form. Celestia cried as she held her lover. Twilight looked up at Celestia and put a hoof to her lovers cheek. "I-I-I love you. Celly." Twilight's hoof fell and her body went limp. Mint was still laughing as she watched Twilight die. "Finally your out of my way you pesky princess." Mint used her magic and her entire body was engulfed in green flame. When the flames ceased, Mint was gone and in her place stood Chrysalis. "NO! TWILIGHT! DON'T LEAVE ME!" Celestia screamed. Celestia stared at the lifeless form of her lover. Tears were freely streaming down her face as she held Twilight close. Memories of her and Twilight spending time together flashed through her mind. Every smile, laugh, and kiss they shared flashed through her mind as well. 'I'm going to kill this bug.' Something within Celestia snapped. "AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!" Celestia screamed in agony. She felt as if her body was a raging inferno. Suddenly the whole room was engulfed in fire. The fire was not normal. It whipped around wildly and violenly. It was like the fire had a mind of its own. Celestia's majestic mane and tail turned into pure fire. Her teeth sharp to the point. And her eyes turned into that of raging suns. Her sun cutie mark turned from a bright orange to scolding red. Celestia was gone, and in her place stands, Daybreaker. Tears were streaming down her face as she looked up to face Chrysalis. "You. Killed. My. Twily." Author's Note The starting chapter to what I hope will be a new series. Completely changed the villain and how Twilight dies.

Luna is out of Character. She doesn't react in the way you think she will. There might be some changes to this chapter sooner or later. I don't know yet. Daybreaker's rage Daybreaker laid her lover on the ground carefully and stood up. Giving one final glance at Twilight, Daybreaker turned her full attention to Chrysalis. "You will pay dearly for what you have done to my love." Daybreaker's voice was malicious and evil as she spoke. All her words, laced in venom. Today, she will show no mercy and will not hold back. "HAHAHAHA. You don't scare me princess." Chrysalis spat. In a fraction of a second, Daybreaker was right in front of Chrysalis. She leaned in to Chrysalis's ear and whispered. "I don't want to scare you. I want to rip you apart." Chrysalis gasped and jumped away from Daybreaker. She looked into Daybreaker's eyes and saw..... Nothing. No emotion. Just a piercing gaze. For the first time in Chrysalis's life. She felt.... Pure terror. Daybreaker smiled and took one step forward. While Chrysalis on instinct took one step back. "Is that fear I sense." Daybreaker took another step forward and appeared right behind Chrysalis. "I like it." She whispered. Chrysalis's eyes widened in fear and whipped her head around to see Daybreaker right behind her. Chrysalis teleported to the other side of the room. "How are you this fast!?" Chrysalis yelled. 'How!? One second shes standing still, the next shes right in front of me or behind me. I don't understand! And shes not even using magic!? This doesn't make any sense.' Daybreaker just smiled. "Hahaha. I've always held back." Another step forward and she was right in the changelings face again. Daybreaker jabbed her hoof in Chrysalis's stomach, knocking her to the ground. "But not anymore." "I got my beloved Twilight killed because I held back." She said sadly. Chrysalis coughed trying to catch her breath. But before she could do anything, she felt magic around one of her hooves. Daybreaker took the hoof in her magic and snapped it. Chrysalis screamed in pain and grit her teeth. "I'm going to enjoy every second of this." Daybreaker used her magic to keep the the changeling on the ground. She took another hoof in her magic. "You will feel the pain that my Twily had to endure. Every. Second. Of. It." Daybreaker snapped the hoof and took the next one in her magic. Chrysalis was unable to do a thing. There was no escape for her. SNAP "AHHHHHHH." Chrysalis screamed in pain. The next hoof breaks. Daybreaker takes the last hoof in her magic. "Stop! Please." Chrysalis begged. Daybreaker just laughed and snapped the hoof. "I'm only stopping when your dead." Her voice was cold. The very words she spoke sent shiver down Chrysalis's spine. Chrysalis began to cry. "I'm sorry. Please don't kill me!" Daybreaker's eye twitched as her anger boiled over. "Sorry. YOUR SORRY! You took the most important pony away from me and all you say is sorry. Let me tell you this. What i'm doing to you." Daybreaker grabbed one of Chrysalis's wings in her magic. "I'm not sorry." Daybreaker ripped the wing right off and burned it. She took the other wing and slowly began pulling. "No! Stop! Don't." Chrysalis pleaded. "Beg all you want. I won't stop." Daybreaker kept pulling and pulling until the wing came off. She smiled before burning the wing. Daybreaker's eyes looked at Chrysalis's horn next as she placed her hooves around it. "No. Not my horn." Chrysalis begged. Daybreaker yanked on Chrysalis's horn and broke it right off. Daybreaker looked at Chrysalis. "You want you horn back? Take it!" Daybreaker thrust the horn right into Chrysalis's eye. "I'm bored of you now. Say good-bye you bug." Daybreaker lit her horn and Chrysalis burst into flames. Chrysalis screamed in agony as she was being burned alive. Slowly Chrysalis's screams died down and her body stopped moving. She was dead. "Now get out of my throne room." Daybreaker took Chrysalis's dead corpse and flung it towards the window. The window smashed and her body fell to the depths below. With Chrysalis dead the fires that consumed the room completely died. Slowly, Daybreaker walked back to her lovers corpse and picked her up in her hooves and held her close as she wept into Twilight's coat. She used her magic and took the dagger out of Twilight and threw it across the room. "I'm so sorry love. I couldn't protect you." Daybreaker continued to cry. Daybreaker got up with her lover still in her hooves and slowly placed her on her back. Once she was placed on Daybreaker's back, she began to walk to the gardens. Once she got to the gardens she walked up to the tree that Twilight loved because of its beauty. A cherry blossom tree. Using her magic Daybreaker created an underground tome for Twilight. Walking down the steps she stopped in front of the grave. In the grave were Twilight's favorite flowers. Lavenders. Daybreaker slowly took Twilight from her back and placed her in the grave. "I hope you don't mind me singing your favorite song. Twily." Daybreaker smiled sadly at Twilight. Taking in a deep breath, Daybreaker began to sing. "You are my sunshine My only sunshine You make me happy When skies are gray You'll never know dear How much I love you Please don't take my sunshine away." Daybreaker finished the song with tears streaming down her face. "Sleep well, my love." She leaned forward and kissed Twilight's forehead. When she backed away she looked at Twilight. She was on her back with her hooves placed on her chest. 'She looks so peaceful.' Daybreaker used her magic and sealed the grave before giving one last glance at the grave before leaving. Daybreaker walked out the tome with her head head hung low and in tears. Slowly she walked back in the castle and down the halls before stopping in front of hers and Twilight's chambers. Walking inside and closing the doors behind her. She walked up to the bed and fell upon it, crying herself to sleep while she kept muttering "I'm sorry i'm sorry i'm sorry." The next day Daybreaker woke up and saw the bed void of Twilight. Daybreaker's heart broke again and she cried over the death of her beloved Twilight once more. The doors to her bedroom opened and Luna walks in. Luna looked at her sister and saw that she was in her nightmare form. "Sister. What happened to you?" Luna asked worried. Daybreaker rose her head and locked eyes with Luna. "Twilight's dead." Luna's eyes widen. "What!? How!?" Luna was in utter disbelief. "Me and Twilight were having a joint court session and we were on the last commissioner. When they walked in they said their name was Mint Green. She said she wanted to give Twilight a gift. When she went down to get it *sniff* Mint summoned a golden dagger and stabbed her in the heart." Daybreaker looked at Luna with pleading eyes. " I held her dying form in my hooves!" Daybreaker was crying again but she continued. "When Twilight died, I felt something snap within me. I felt as if I was being burned alive. My form changed into what you see now. Thing is, Mint was Chrysalis the whole time. I felt rage and anger towards her. I feel no remorse for what I did to Chrysalis and I don't intend to feel any any time soon." Luna just stood there taking it all in. "What did you do to Chrysalis?" "I broke each and every one of her hooves. Ripped off both her wings and burned them. Broke her horn off and jabbed it into her eye. And then burned her alive. When she died I threw her body out the window." Her voice was void of emotion as she spoke. She didn't have any remorse for what she did. "... Wow. What are you going to do now?" Luna asked caustiously. Daybreaker rose from her bed and walked past Luna. "I'm going to tell our subjects." Luna only nodded. After awhile all her subjects were outside the castle waiting. She walked to the balcony and opened the doors. Stepping outside she faced her subjects. Her subjects looked her. Some in wonder, others in fear of her form. Daybreaker cleared her throat and spoke. "My little ponies. Today we morn the loss of one of Equestria's greatest princesses and brightest minds, who was also my lover. Twilight Sparkle."
The returnView OnlineA new formThe returnTwilight stood in a blank white void. Looking around she saw nothing but the empty infinite white void. "H-hello." Twilight called. "Hello indeed miss Sparkle." The mysterious figure said behind her. "Eeek." Twilight jumped up and quickly turned around to face who spoke. "Wh-who are you." The figure laughed. "Hahaha. I am Death, your highness." He said as he bowed. Twilight's eyes widened. "Your Death? Am I dead?" Death nodded. "Yes you are dead. killed by the golden dagger. The only weapon to kill an immortal." He explained. Twilight began to pace while thinking. Suddenly she stopped and looked at Death. "Where am I?" Death began to laugh. "I knew you were going to ask that. You are in the Dead Realm miss Sparkle." Death explained. "The Dead Realm?" Twilight was beyond confused. "It is a place where the souls of the dead go. But where we are right now is in Purgatory. We are in between both life and death." Twilight looked around for a second. "Why are we here then?" "When I saw your soul pass into the Dead Realm, I pulled you here. I needed to tell you something." Twilight's curiosity peaked. "And what might that be?" "I wanted to tell you that you weren't supposed die and I am going to send you back to the realm of the living." Twilight's eyes widened. "Your giving me a second chance?" "Yes, but only one. So if you some how die again, your staying dead. Got it." Death said seriously Twilight nodded her head excitedly. "Good. Now before I send you back I need to tell you that time moves a lot slower here. We've been talking for about two hours. So it's been two years in the realm of the living." "T-two years?" "Yes. Do you still want to go back?" Twilight didn't even have to think. "Of course. I can't wait to see my Celly again." Death chuckled to himself. "Well then you should be on your way then. shouldn't you." Twilight turned her head left then right. "Uh, how do I leave?" Death pointed his skeleton hoof behind Twilight. "Behind you." Twilight turned around and saw a door in front of her. "Do I just walk through?" "Yes." Twilight opened the door and walked through. "Don't worry Celly, i'm coming." Daybreaker sat upon her throne thinking. It's been two years since Twilight's death. Over those two years Daybreaker became cruel. She rules Equestria with an iron hoof. She no longer shows mercy to anypony. Around her throne and the room were piles of ash. When Twilight died it was like Celestia lost a piece of her soul that day. "Celly." Daybreaker heard a faint voice but dismissed it thinking it was nothing. "Celly." There it was again. Daybreaker looked around for the source of the voice. "Show your self fool!" Daybreaker demanded. "Celly!" Daybreaker's eyes widened as she knew who that voice belonged to. "Twily! Where are you love!?" She called. Daybreaker looked up a saw that the air was shimmering. Before she could question it somepony came out of it. "Celly!" Twilight said as tears were coming down her face. Twilight's hooves were out stretched as she was flung towards Daybreaker. "Twily!" Daybreaker opened her arms and Twilight slammed right into her. Twilight held Daybreaker close as she sobbed into her coat. "Celly, I was so worried about you." Daybreaker just held Twilight close to her never letting her go. Not again. "Oh, Twily, I missed you so much. How are you alive?" Twilight kept her head buried in Daybreaker's coat as she responded. "Well, when I died I was brought to a place called the Dead Realm. Death took my soul from the Dead Realm and placed it in Purgatory. He wanted to talk to me. He told me I wasn't supposed to die so he gave me a second chance. I so happy to be with you again." Daybreaker nuzzled the top of Twilight's head. "I am overjoyed to be with you again love." Twilight noticed that Celly's voice was different so she looked up only to freeze in terror. "C-Celly. What happened to you." Daybreaker looked down to see Twilight scared. "When you died, I felt something snap within me. Turning me into what you see before you." Twilight put hoof on Daybreaker's cheek. "Is it still you though Celly?" Daybreaker nodded. "Yes, it's still me." She explained. "Do you not like the sight of me?" She asked fearfully. Twilight looked into Daybreaker's eyes and saw nothing but love. Twilight laid her head back on Daybreaker's coat. "If this is how you look now Celly, I don't care. I love you and I will keep loving you no matter what you look like." Twilight lifted her head up to Daybreaker and kissed her passionately. As Daybreaker kissed her lover, a tear came down her face. 'I finally have you back. My beloved Twily.' Twilight pulled away and looked at her lover and blushed. "Um, Celly, I've been meaning to ask you this for awhile." Daybreaker looked at her lover curiously. "What did you need to ask me love?" Twilight used her magic to summon a small black box behind her. "I just wanted to ask. W-w-will you marry me?" Twilight levitated the black box in front of her and opened it revealing a diamond ring with a rainbow diamond in the middle. Daybreaker stared at the ring for a second trying to take in what just happened. When she pieced it together and figured out that Twilight asked to marry her she squealed in excitement. "Yes my love, a thousand times yes." She said peppering Twilight with kisses. 2 years ago Chrysalis's body plummeted to the ground below. Her body hit a bush, preventing her from splattering on the ground. After about an hour her body began to move, but very slowly. Her eye opened and looked around taking in her surroundings. "H-how am I alive?" She questioned herself in a weak voice. 'Never mind wondering how i'm alive. I need to get out of here.' She connected herself to the hive mind and demanded a rescue. After about twenty minutes a few of Chrysalis's drones arrived to pick her up. Once the drones picked her burned and broken body up, they flew away back to the hive. As they were flying, Chrysalis turned her head back to Canterlot castle and scowled. "I will have my revenge, Celestia." Chrysalis vowed in a low, weak voice. Author's Note And thus the story ends. Unless you want a sequal to this that has Twilight and Daybreaker getting married. It's up to you. Might do some changes to the chapter. Don't know yet.
