The Killer Blank Flank

The cutie mark crusaders continued their search for answers, mostly dead ends but Diamond Tiara had an idea that just might give the five of them a lead.

“Diamond Tiara”
(Hey Sweetie Bell, does that file have Grape Sweets’s parents names on it?)

“Sweetie Bell”
(I don’t know but I can look. Why do you ask?)

“Diamond Tiara”
(I have an idea that might give us a lead.)

Sweetie Bell looked back into the file in hopes of finding the names of Grape Sweets’s parents.
Fortunately she was successful.

“Sweetie Bell”s
(I found them. Now what?)

“Diamond Tiara”
(We go to town hall. What are the names?)

“Sweetie Bell”
(Grapefruit Gary and Pawpaw Tart.)

“Diamond Tiara”
(Perfect. Now let’s go to the town hall.)

The five fillies went to the town hall in hopes of getting further information using the new information they got from the thin school file.
These five fillies were still unaware of the danger that they slowly paced towards.
When they got to the town hall they asked the mayor mare about Grapefruit Gary and Pawpaw Tart.

“Mayor Mare”
(I’ll see what I can find but why?)

Apple Bloom lied right through her two front teeth to make sure the information didn’t get to the royal guardsmen.

“Apple Bloom”
(We’re assisting our friend Trixie in finding her friend and we would like some information on the parents to see where her friend might have moved to.)

The mayor could tell Apple Bloom was lying but wondered what kind of truth her lie was hiding.

“Mayor Mare”
(May I see what’s in that file?)

“Sweetie Bell”
(Uh. Well)

Sweetie Bell was cut off when her sentence was just being started.

“Mayor Mare”
(I always see through lies Sweetie Bell. Now give me the truth. What are you fillies trying to do?)

“Apple Bloom”
(Mayor Mare can you please keep this between us?)

“Mayor Mare”
(If you give me the truth I will.)

“Apple Bloom”
(Okay we’re doing a true investigation on a pony that has been killing small fillies, and we want to stop her. Her name is Grape Sweets and we have a good amount of knowledge on her but we need more and you’re the next one we need to go to.)

Mayor Mare was shocked at what she had just heard but felt she should at least try to help.

“Mayor Mare”
(Alright I’ll see what I can do but I would like to see that file so that I know what I’m looking for.)

Sweetie Bell handed the mayor the school file and the Mayor quickly noticed something about the pony in the picture she looked at.

“Mayor Mare”
(Oh my. I know who this is.)

“Sweetie Bell”
(Really?)

“Mayor Mare”
(Yes we went to school together. I was one of the ponies who teased her about her blank flank, unfortunately when I went to apologize she was gone.)

The five fillies had even more questions to ask but many were unable to be answered. Luckily they had a hit, the pony’s mother and father were located. The cmc, Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon went out and looked for the residence of Grapefruit Gary and Pawpaw Tart.
They were successful and went straight to the door and gave it knock. The fillies heard hoofsteps and a pony answered the door. They pony who answered the door was a very shy pony and she was a pony with the shivers. Apple Bloom still proceeded to ask if they could come in.

“Apple Bloom”
(Excuse me but can we come in?)

Silence was waved over the mare at the door.

“Sweetie Bell”
(We only want to ask you a few questions and then we’ll leave you alone.)

More silence was blown the five filly’s way.

“Scootaloo”
(Can we get your name mam?)

The pony actually uttered something that time.

“The pony”
(My name i-is Pawpaw Tart.)

The pony was Whaehonah’s mother.

“Apple Bloom”
(You’re one of the ponies we needed to speak to.)

“Pawpaw Tart”
(What do you need to talk about?)

“Scootaloo”
(We need to ask you about your daughter.)

“Pawpaw Tart”
(I figured somepony was gonna come here to ask about her.)

“Diamond Tiara”
(What do you mean?)
