Going To See Her Performance
Twilight Sparkle was on stage performing a solo ballet performance. Many people in the stadium were watching including her friends and Spike. Even Rarity was watching and she had mocked her in the beginning but now she didn't anymore. Twilight had left the most prolific dance company in Equestria and was now doing solo.
Her friends were simply amazed by the performance. It had had been going on for several minutes. Soon it ended and the whole audience clapped. Twilight bowed and left before she could show any emotion. Once the applause ended her friends went to the stage.
When Twilight was done she stepped off the stage and was greeted by her friends who squeezed her with hugs making her laugh.
"Twilight it was great. You've been doing great for years. Ah have never doubted your Applejack said.
"Yeah you were pretty good." Pinkie Pie said.
"Pretty good. I thought the performance was amazing!" Rainbow Dash said.
"It was marvelous darling you sure know how to word things." Rarity said.
"Yeah....I think you were pretty nice up there." Fluttershy said as she agreed with Rarity's sentiment. Twilight smiled at all of them.
"Thanks girls. I knew you would all like it and I knew they would all like it as well. I was so nervous that I screwed up but in the end it just matters that I tried my best." Twilight said.
"You always try your best." Rarity said as she put her hand onto Twilight's shoulder. Twilight giggled. Celestia approached Twilight.
"I saw the dance Twilight. Your dance was good and your delivery was excellent. There isn't anything that you messed up. I'm very proud of you and I hope you know that." Celestia said. Twilight bowed.
"Thanks your highness." Twilight said. Celestia left Twilight and her friends to themselves.
"So who wants to celebrate?" Twilight said. They all said yes in excitement so Twilight got changed and they left and went to an diner. Once they were at the diner Twilight ordered a salad and a small sandwich as she didn't want to pig out and screw up her wait. Her other friends ordered whatever they wanted.
"Twilight I can't believe I made fun of you when you first told me about what you wanted to do. I have always regretted doing that as you were simply amazing. It was a very good performance and you deserve a good treat. Why don't we buy you a gift or something." Rarity suggested.
"No that's okay Rarity you don't have to buy me anything. It was just a ballet performance I'm not great. I was good but I wasn't great." Twilight said.
"I thought you were more than great up there. You have to give yourself more credit. I could never do what you do. Although I have tried contemporary dance." Pinkie Pie rambled on.
"Contemporary? Isn't that usually done barefoot?" Rainbow Dash asked.
"Uhhuh! It was pretty fun! I did it for a few months but I stopped." Pinkie Pie said.
"Why did you stop? If you enjoyed it you should continue to do it." Rarity mentioned.
"Your right. Maybe I'll pick another class to go to." Pinkie Pie said.
"Are you still with your company Twilight or did you break away?" Rarity asked. Twilight shook her head.
"No I didn't I'm still doing performances with them. You've gone to some of them remember?" Twilight asked.
"Yeah your right we have gone to some of those. Honestly I forgot about that as well. At least everything is working out for you so that's something." Applejack said.
"It certainly beats sitting at home doing nothing. I like how Twilight has been getting exercise from dancing as well so she can be fit like me!" Rainbow Dash bragged. All of them looked at her with annoyance.
"Hey I'm just saying." Rainbow Dash said. They all continued to eat. After a few moments of silent eating Fluttershy turned to Twilight.
"Um...Twilight what are you going to do in the future? Are you going to continue dancing or pick something else?" Fluttershy asked. Twilight furrowed her brow as she thought about that question. She hadn't really thought about that as she was just focused on the present.
"Hm. I'm not really sure. I haven't thought about that. I'll probably continue ballet I guess. I'll probably be dancing well into my fifties." Twilight said.
"Wow that's a long time. I hope you don't stop." Rarity said. Twilight nodded.
"Rarity I'm going to be dancing for the rest of my life. So don't worry." Twilight suggested.
"Good!" Rarity said.
Soon the friends finished eating and went back home. When Twilight got home she got undressed and put on pajamas and rested on the couch. Spike came walking up to her.
"Twilight that was an unbelievable performance. I'm sorry that I couldn't meet you backstage as it was to crowded. Thanks for letting me come." Spike said.
"Spike you came on your own decision and I was hoping that you would. I was very happy that you went today. I'm glad you enjoyed it I worked really hard to be where I am today." Twilight said.
"You sure did. Did you bring home anything?" Spike asked.
"Leftovers from a diner that I ate at with my friends after the performance. You can have some if you want." Twilight said. Spike waved off the offer.
"Nah I'm good. See you later Twilight." Spike said as he went up to the room.
"See you Spike." Twilight said as she watched him walk away. Twilight sighed happily and picked up a book that she had been reading and continued to read it. She loved Ballet and would do ballet for the rest of her life. She knew that she would have to do a more relaxed form of it but she was going to still do it and nobody was going to get her to stop as ballet was now her most favorite thing to do. She was never going to stop.
