Chapters Twinwing rested his head on his hoof, staring out the window at the scenery as it flicked past the train cart window. Evergreens and tall oaks rising and falling over grassy green hills. Despite the wonderous view presented to those on board, Twinwing wasn’t engrossed in the view, instead he was sulking as he stared up towards the sky. Slowly turning his gaze back over towards the front of the train he looked down at the table between him and the empty seat opposite him. A small letter sat unfolded on the table facing Twinwing, who sighed, rereading it yet again.
“ Dear Twinwing, It is with a heavy heart that we must inform you of your employment termination effective immediately, due to budget cuts to the company several members of staff have been let go this is not a direct offence to you as an individual but a necessary sacrifice for the company’s continuity. Should you ever consider reemployment with us or another workplace under our brand please provide the slip contained with this letter as a means of reference for past service and skills. With regards, your boss, Paper Clips. ”
Twin scoffed scrunching the letter up and throwing it towards a bin, tapping against the lid and rolling out of sight behind it. Twin wasn’t too disappointed about the loss of his job, it had been rather miserable in terms of both the work itself and the work environment, however it has been a steady source of income… income he no longer had access too. Twin had taken a decent sum of his money from his account and booked a short holiday in Canterlot city, perhaps some time to relax would do him some good after the recent disaster. Though, part of him also felt guilty as it would make money even tighter than before on his return.
The train whistle caused Twin to shake his head, clearing the distracting thoughts from his head as he stood up, collecting his bag from under his seat and following along the mass crowd of ponies. As Twin saw the carriage doors ahead of him open, many of the ponies oohed in awe, as Twin shuffled towards the front he did likewise. Canterlot was like no other city in Equestria. The scenery of a waterfall cascading down a massive mountain, the contrasting white and gold colours of the city and the many golden suns atop the towers. Twin stared, his woes fading from the front of his mind as he, alongside the many tourists and visitors, gawked in amazement at the slice of grounded heaven.
Twin followed behind the massive crowd of ponies into the station, tickets and passports being shown, guards shuffling and leaning on their spears as they watched the civilians shuffle past one at a time. Once Twin had passed through the checkout he headed outside and gasped. The crisp, warm summer air was complimented by a soothing cool breeze, unlike the train cart, rippling the grass causing it to sway photogenically. However, what made Twin gasp was not in fact the surroundings, but the little crowd of ponies waiting at the station, holding the trademark signs with names printed on the front. One mare in particular caught Twin’s attention, the body of an Earth pony stood tall, one hoof holding a sign casually whilst the other leaned on the metal fence separating those disembarking. But instead of hind legs and a bushy tail, a smooth, sleek serpent’s tail simply grew out of her lower waist, trailing and twisting around behind the mare, glittering in the sunlight. The snake-pony took notice of Twin staring and looked over, a sly grin stretching over her face before a voice caused her to turn away, distracted as a stallion wandered over, as if floating, back towards the predator mare.
Twin snapped back to reality and made his way off the station towards the city itself, passing over the drawbridge and through the gate. Twin noticed more of the snake-ponies scattered amongst both the guard and the crowds wandering about. Twin couldn’t help but admire the shimmering scales flowing behind each one, like colourful, rainbow-like water ripples but on land. Twin glanced from building to building, each a beautiful contrast of colours, as if a rainbow had flown through the city colouring each one itself, plants and flowers bloomed from window sills and small gardens and Twin smiled. The sound of a soft bell chime caught Twin’s attention and he looked over at a little coffee shop. Twin might have kept going until he saw the sign, a small snake curled around a coffee cup, its tongue flickering into the liquid within… surely a drink and a small bite wouldn’t hurt, and maybe Twin could learn about what all these creatures around town were!
The bell rang out once again as Twin stepped into the little cramped space, small two seat tables had been forced in alongside wooden chairs, green tops with white table cloths, little sugar sachets sat within the confines of miniature snakes, wrapped in their coils. Despite being on a public road, the shop was nearly empty beside Twin and one other customer by the far wall, reading a paper as he sipped a purple coloured tea. Twin sat down and had to stifle a gasp as another snake-pony slithered over with a menu, surprisingly agile in the narrow spaces between the tables.
“Good morning can I get you anything?” She asked with a sweet smile, Twin noticing two sets of long fangs in between her grin and his throat tightened a little.
“Oh uh… just a hot chocolate please.” Twin said and the lamia nodded turning back over her own tail before disappearing into the kitchen briefly before returning and setting the drink down with some cold milk and a tea spoon. As the mare turned to slither away again Twin spoke up “Um excuse me,”
The lamia turned back to Twin “Yes?” She asked politely.
Twin shuffled in his seat and looked down at his drink nervously “What… are you?” Twin asked trying to be as polite as he could with the blunt question.
“I’m a lamia, half pony half snake. We live here, one of our own runs the nation now the Princesses have stepped down.” Twin looked up at her and she nodded insistently that the statement was true “Anything else?” Twin shook his head “Okay, please, enjoy.”
Twin sipped his hot drink, looking outside as a pair of lamias slithered by. Noticing a lonely stallion, the pair converged on him and looped their tails over his neck and shoulders, talking before the stallion followed them down the next turn. Twin shuffled again, rubbing his neck, imagining how it might feel to have a coil pressed up against his windpipe, tightening slowly. Twin gulped and quickly finished his drink, leaving more than enough bits before leaving, the lamia who had informed him of her species name saying a cheerful goodbye.
Twin gulped once outside, rubbing his neck absentmindedly as he walked, unable to stop himself patting his neck nervously every few seconds each time he saw a lamia “I should find a hotel… it has been a long trip.” Twin mumbled as he made his way towards the overnight district.
“I’m sorry sir, but we have no rooms, if you’d booked in advance we could have sorted something out.” Twin sighed “Have you tried any of the others?” The receptionist offered Twin.
“Yes, half a dozen others.” He said, blushing, booking a hotel was sort of a major thing for a holiday.
“Well, if you can’t find anywhere you can always ask one of the lamias… they’re so… kind… they always love visitors.” Twin nodded, not noticing the pony’s vacant expression as they thought of the wonderous serpents slithering around outside.
Twin left the seventh hotel and sighed, rubbing his forehead slightly as he glanced around before wandering off. Stupid, it was just plain stupid to think he could book a room on the day he got there in a major city like Canterlot! Twin rubbed his eyes, tired from wandering around and carrying his suitcase everywhere with him. He was attracting a fair few glances now as ponies began to recognise him wandering from hotel to hotel and Twin quickly shuffled off the main road, down a tight alley. Twin emerged on the opposite side of the hotel street, it was oddly quiet by contrast and the high buildings seemed to muffle most sound, creating the illusion he was further from any other living pony than he actually was in reality. Twin continued on his way, glancing around, hoping to find a bed and breakfast perhaps or maybe even just a pub or inn for the night.
Twin found neither, but what he did find was a small business office tucked between an old shop up for lease and an occupied marble white house. The window of the office advertised various job positions and awards for assisting in employment opportunities. Twin stared at the offers for a long time before deciding that, even if he had no chance of getting a job here since he didn’t have enough bits for a house or apartment, at least he’d be able to sit down for a while.
Twin pushed his way inside and a mare looked up from a magazine at his arrival. Twin didn’t see much of the cover, besides a purple sheen and a lamia curled over a large log, but the way the mare stowed it under her desk so hastily made Twin think it had little to do with latest songs or gossip. Twin gratefully took a seat across from the mare who smiled as he sighed, shuffling to get comfy.
“Hello, how can I help you?” The mare asked.
“Yeah um… I’d like a job… heh, obviously. I was hoping to see what you have available?” Twin asked nervously, despite not really expecting to get one, Twin couldn’t help feel a little hopeful twinge in the back of his mind.
“Of course, anything specific?” The mare asked tapping away at her computer briefly, no doubt bringing up a program to help narrow down the selections.
“Er,” Twin paused “Not office work.” He said quickly.
“Alright, office work gone…”
“I suppose I could do serving or construction.” Twin suggested.
“Sorry, construction is full and the local hospitality industry has already closed their open job offers now the main season has started… I do have a few jobs in retail.” The mare suggested looking up at Twin.
“Alright… but um… see I don’t really have the funding to afford a home, do any offer… renting or something?” Twin asked.
The mare shook her head “No, sorry…” The mare paused and, for a second, Twin could have sworn her eyes had changed from brown, like his own, to red and purple. The mare seemed to freeze, her hoof hovering over her keyboard and she let out a long sigh “Sir… how do you feel about the lamias in charge of Canterlot?” She asked softly.
“Oh… they’re interesting I suppose, I’ve not been here long, just a few hours ago honestly.” Twin admitted before immediately scolding himself, if he didn’t know the city that would limit more jobs.
“Would you mind working for one?” Twin thought it over then shook his head “I have a perfect job… hospitality staff for Scale manor, room and board is provided free of charge and you can start as soon as you like. Tomorrow even, as the work day will have already started.” The mare looked at Twin hopefully.
“Sure, it could be interesting. Starting soon it also useful.” The mare suddenly banged her hooves on the table, causing Twin to jump in surprise at the unexpected outburst, shivering as if being hit with static as she shut her eyes, smiling and moaning softly.
“G-guh-GREAT! I’ll give you the address and you can head there right away!” The mare said and Twin stared for a moment as the mare hastily wrote the message down for him, as well as giving him a little sealed slip of paper “H-here you are, give that to the gate guard so they’ll let you i-in!”
“Thank you.” Twin said smiling, this trip was going alright by his count! Even if he had just cancelled his holiday on a whim for a possible job…
Once Twin had left, the door shutting behind itself, the mare leaned back in her chair moaning as she held her throat, almost drooling as her eyes shifted colours “I goooht you another one Mistress!!” She moaned to nopony in particular.
Twin stared at the scribbled street on the piece of paper, turning it sideways and even upside down, hoping to understand it better. The mare seemed to have developed a sudden bout of serious shakes and Twin didn’t understand or even know why that had happened. Twin glanced around and wandered up to the first mare he saw, which happened to be a lamia.
“Excuse me,” Twin said and the lamia turned from her friend smiling, her tail raising itself up and looping around Twin’s neck, holding his head up with the tail tip. Twin could feel the thick muscles and fat mushing against his throat under him as he was made to stare up at the lamia inspecting him “I… need directions, please…”
“Where to?” The second lamia asked beginning to slide her tail towards him, flexing and shifting the muscles along it in anticipation.
“Scale manor.” Twin said and the lamia stopped, her tail pulling back, however her smile, surprisingly, remained.
“Right of course, just down that street, turn right and continue on to the last building. Can’t miss it, it looks like a miniature castle!” The lamia said, raising her hoof and pointing as she spoke the specific directions, tugging on Twin’s neck making him gulp and propelling him forward past the pair as they giggled once they’d told him what he wanted to know.
Twin kept going, wondering what was amusing them so much as he took their directions towards the manor. Twin halted, the two lamias were right it was just like a miniature castle! Thick limestone walls several stories tall with enough room for passage between them, each corner rising higher with watch towers, and a large polished steel gate that was currently rolled down. As Twin got closer he could see ponies moving atop the castle walls, and one peeking over from the nearest tower at him, probably informing those below of his approach. Twin felt a little nervous, despite the fact he had been informed to head here for the job application. Once Twin reached the gate there was a lamia waiting on the other side. He was wearing a chest plate much like the ones worn by the royal guard, but deep purple instead of gold and a purple scarf wrapped around their necks, a purple iris with a black slitted pupil watching Twin from the centre of his throat, the emblem marked into a pin to keep the scarf in place. He had a helmet shaped like a viper, with a large open hood and the visor over his eyes was coloured with a multitude of colours, but Twin was just barely able to make out the slitted eyes underneath. Was that allowed, the visor colouration, or was it standard for this manor guard?
“Why are you here?” The guard asked softly.
“I was told I could get a job here… I um… have a slip…?” Twin said uncertain he would accept this. The guard however held out a hoof close to the gate bars and Twin slipped the paper through, the guard pulling it away to read it, removing his helmet to do so.
Twin rocked back and forth nervously on his hooves, tapping his suitcase with his hooves, though he stopped when the guard glanced up at him briefly with an irritated expression.
Once done, the guard adorned his helmet again before turning and waving his hoof in a circular motion and the gate began to grind up slowly “Follow me, I’ll get somepony to interview you.” He ordered and Twin hoisted his bag up, following after him.
Twin looked around, noticing a small building that more lamias were leaning out of, alongside a few ponies, looking at the newest arrival, all wearing the same armour. Twin was also able to confirm the colouration of the visors was deliberate as it was matched across every one he could see. Twin felt his cheeks flush at being checked out by so many ponies at once and was glad when they reached the mansion. Twin glanced up at the multi-storey obsidian coloured house, looking left and right as they stood in the middle of the large C shaped building, Twin pausing as he stared into the greenhouse nestled on one side. The interior was full of strangely coloured plants and Twin could just faintly see slivers of white moving around and a figure, watching him. A feeling of both fear, awe and desire rumbled in Twin and he wasn’t sure if he wanted to gallop over or away. Before he could decide Twin was led inside, the lamia tugging on his hoof with a stray coil to get him moving again.
“Wait here.” The guard said in his soft monotone voice as he disappeared towards the side with the greenhouse. It wasn’t long until Twin could hear the soft ruffle of a tail on carpet and the padded sound of hooves clipping over the floor.
The guard returned, passing Twin by and returning outside towards the gate, leaving him alone with the stranger who he had been walking with. Plain white with a white and blue streaked mane, the stranger seemed to be looking THROUGH Twin as opposed to at him, yet he also acknowledged his presence by looking him up and down. He was wearing a red suit that, when Twin moved, seemed to shift in the light as if it had thousands of individual little patterns, it took Twin a while to realise it was a mimicry of snake scales. He also wore a little white collar that looked oddly large and thick with the trademark eye of a lamia over his throat.
“So, you are here for a position?” He finally asked, his expression hardly shifting.
“Um, yes please.” Twin said awkwardly as he shuffled, however this nervousness seemed to perk the stallion up slightly as he smiled.
“Wonderful, I will get a member of staff to show you around the manor. You will be among the service and cleaning staff, as you know, so you will clean and take anything the Mistress requests to her wherever she may be. Understand?” Twin nodded “Good, I will be in my office,” He said, pointing to his office “I’m Alex Holmes by the way, head butler, I’ll be your supervisor.” Alex finished before returning inside his office to continue his work. Or so Twin assumed.
“Don’t you need my name?” Twin asked the closed door quietly “ How is he going to get another member of staff from in there though? ” Twin thought before hearing another pony approaching from the other side… what?
A tall blood red pegasus, wearing a matching uniform to that of Alex’s, turned the corner His brown and red coloured mane was slightly ruffled, like his tail, and he seemed to be breathing oddly heavily, as if he was recovering from being short of breath.
“Hello,” He panted with a smile, his gaze was much more focused than Alex’s, but Twin did notice he seemed a little distracted, occasionally shutting his eyes as if his thoughts kept drifting “I’m Boltblood Thundercloud… Bolt’s fine… I’m going to show you around the manor.” He said and Twin nodded “You can leave your bag at the door, in case you decide this isn’t for you.” Something about Bolt’s tone indicated that was a disgusting suggestion.
“Oh, okay… I’m Twinwing, nice to meet you?” Twin offered a hoof and Bolt shook it, he was surprisingly strong for a pegasus.
As Twin set his bag down Bolt stood staring before responding “Nice to meet you too.” Though his voice was friendly, the long pause was a little eerie “Follow me.” Bolt waved a hoof turning on his hooves and making his way down the corridor.
Bolt made a direct route for the kitchen, as Twin saw the stainless white doors Bolt glanced back at him “You’re going to be a butler, right?” Twin nodded “Oh good, we need some new ones after the dinner a few months ago. A lot of staff… left with the lamia visitors.” Bolt fluttered his wings as he flushed slightly “Anyway, this will most likely be your second most visited room, besides whichever ones you are allocated to clean. I’m the head chef I take care of the staff here,” Bolt gestured with a hoof around the room, four other ponies were dotted around, two mares cleaning and two chefs checking stock lists “When Mistress orders food come here and I’ll make it and take it to her.” Bolt explained.
“Shouldn’t a waiter take the food?” Twin asked confused.
“Normally yes but… well, Mistress prefers it if I take it.” Twin raised an eyebrow “It’s how things run here, you’ll get use to it.” Bolt said with a confident nod.
“Okay, if you say so.” Twin said a little confused by the change of norm.
Bolt led Twin around, showing him the living room, a moodily lit room with many cushions and a constant fire in the wall before a large pile of cushions that seemed to blaze the room with more warmth than was needed or should be able to produce. As Bolt finished on the side of the manor Twin noticed one room they’d missed.
“Hay, what’s through there?” Twin asked.
“Oh, that’s the greenhouse, it has a bunch of plants from the Mistress’ homeland in the Badlands. Mistress doesn’t spend much time in there I’ve noticed, usually just to collect herbs for jobs.” Bolt said staring at the door, no doubt he also collected seasoning leaves and such for the meals.
“What does… um ‘Mistress’ do?” Twin asked.
“Oh, she’s an enforcer, the lamia Queen’s Hypnotic Tail, to be specific. She deals with ponies trying to overthrow the current lamia rule and maintains order and safety, deals with resistances that have some really strange and outlandish ideas about lamias. But she’s nice, takes care of her staff, usually pays around double the minimum and all commodities here are free, though punishments are harsh but you normally earn them if she has to get involved instead of Alex or another staff member.” Twin shrugged, sounded like a nice enough employer to him.
As Bolt tried to lead Twin back towards the other side of the manor to continue the orientation tour, the door to the greenhouse opened and Bolt quickly turned back and bowed as the lamia of the house slithered out. She was a beautiful artic clean snow-white unicorn with a mane like a fire ablaze, deep captivating purple eyes with a black snake slit. Her tail matched her body and mane respectively with its body and underbelly and she was huge! Her tail could have looped around maybe a dozen ponies at once! Not to mention how heavy and thick it appeared. The lamia paused upon realising the pair were looking at her, smiling at Bolt before looking at Twin, inspecting him slowly with her gaze, looking over the white bodied pegasus that was so similar to her own.
“Who do we have here?” The lamia asked approaching Twin.
“A possible new member of staff.” Bolt said standing up.
“Possible?” She asked looking at Bolt.
“I haven’t signed on yet… just… seeing what I’ll have to do before I start.” Twin explained and she stared at him for a moment.
“Well, Bolt, why don’t you return to the kitchen and I’ll continue showing this fine stallion around.” Bolt glanced at Twin then his Mistress “I insist.” She said before he could try to argue.
“As you wish.” Bolt said, sounding slightly dejected, though Twin didn’t know why. Bolt left and headed towards the kitchen, pushing the door open with a little more force than was needed.
“Don’t worry about Bolt, he just likes it when he has my affection, like all the other staff really,” The lamia paused mumbling softly “The smart ones anyway.” Twin looked over unsure if he’d misheard “Now, follow me, I’ll show you the rest of my home and I’ll chose where you will be working.” The lamia began slithering ahead and Twin followed beside her, glancing sideways every so often “Tell me, what’s your name? I’m Ruby Scales.” Ruby said placing a hoof to her chest.
“Twinwing.” Twin said with a slightly sheepish smile.
“Twinwing, hmmm? What a nice name. So, tell me, have you ever worked with lamias before?” Ruby asked.
Twin let out a little laugh “Er, before I got here today I didn’t know lamias existed. I was rather surprised, I might have been scared but everypony on the station was just so nonchalant about them.” Twin said and looked at Ruby to see how she’d react, a little nervous as he expected her to be concerned that he had no experience with her species.
“You know nothing of us?” Twin shook his head “Wonderful!” Ruby said with a wide smile “Then I can… ‘educate’ you whilst you work for me.” Twin felt his double wings flutter at his side at the suggestion and Ruby chuckled, running a coil through Twin’s orange and blue tipped mane, rubbing down the back of his neck and brushing his tail.
Twin almost stopped, just to lean into the serpent’s touch, it was smooth and cool, but also weighty with a nice bit of pressure and cinching to match to sooth his muscles. Ruby would make an expert masseuse. When Ruby pulled Twin to the side more forcefully, having almost wandered into a wall beside a ramp to the second floor, he shook his head back to reality and opened his wings, pushing Ruby’s tail off with them.
“Were you not enjoying that?” Ruby asked.
“No, I just want to be able to focus on what you’re telling me to do.” Twin said as the pair approached a small haggle of ponies just outside a room emitting constant chatter, which Ruby confirmed his suspicions as the break room.
They were all alert and looked rather nervous at Ruby’s approach but bowed nonetheless. Twin gave a little wave and one of the mare’s spoke up “A new pet, Mistress?” She asked and her friends shuffled on the spot, frightened.
“No, a new butler and cleaner, hopefully.” Ruby said levelly.
The mare watched as they passed by, before saying to her friends, in a carrying whisper “He’ll end up one though.” Twin noticed Ruby’s tail twitch and slither an extra time, as if irritated.
“What did she mean?” Twin asked, concerned.
“Nothing,” Ruby smiled patting Twin’s head with a coil “I just…” Ruby cleared her throat “Have… ‘other’ staff.” Twinwing’s wings pomfed out at this statement, his face turning red and Ruby chuckled. In all honesty she had no problem with that sort of services or speaking of it, but it was a good knock off.
“O-oh, ri-right.” Twin mumbled, glancing down the second-floor hallway at the various doors.
“The bedrooms staff are provided with,” Ruby explained.
“Can I take a look?” Twin asked.
“Oh well…” Ruby shuffled about, as if looking for a way out of this situation “Alright, but they are rather… small…” She admitted “I do need a lot of staff, as you’d imagine, so I had to be conservative…” Ruby watched as Twin approached an unoccupied room and opened it.
The room was barely the size and length of two ponies laying atop each other. A single window, small and rounded, bathed the room in a surprising amount of light. There was a little desk tucked into the right side and a ‘bed’ piled on the floor.
Twin wandered inside, poking the bed, before rubbing it. It was very reminiscent of Ruby’s coils in both colour and feel, though softer and with less form “Strange… so this is where I’ll sleep?” Twin asked.
“Yes, just sleep, the break room has games and much more recreational activities. Video games, reading as well as meals things along those lines.” Ruby said.
“Oh, that’s fine, I thought this was my only free space.” Twin said and Ruby beamed.
“Glad to hear it Twinwing, now shall I go over what I’ll expect you to do on a day to day basis?” Ruby suggested and Twin nodded “Alright,” Ruby motioned for Twin to leave the room and Ruby shut the door, lighting up a little plaque on the door changing it to his name with ‘butler’ underneath. Ruby’s writing was very neat, at least using magic “You’ll begin you day by heading to one of the staff bathrooms here,” Ruby motioned to a few doors, which Twin peeked inside of, like the bedroom the bathroom was sized to be as small as possible to be useable but not take up access space. Just a shower, sink and toilet were present inside.
Twin moved back out, shutting the door “Then?” He asked, promoting Ruby to continue.
“You will head down here, to this bathroom, my own,” Ruby pushed the door open and Twin felt like he’d wandered into an indoor pool as opposed to a bathroom! Twin could see where the staff bathrooms poked out and why so much room was needed for Ruby, the bath was like those used for professional swimmers and she used it just to bathe? Twin gulped “Don’t worry, the taps will fill it up faster than you’d expect. Once it’s full of hot water get the shampoos and scale oils ready,” Ruby nodded to a shelf full of various selections of both.
“How do I know which you want?” Twin asked.
“You don’t.” Ruby answered smiling and Twin suddenly looked concerned “Don’t panic,” Ruby flicked Twin’s nose with her tail tip giggling “I like them all, and I promise you’ll enjoy them too.” Why would Twin enjoy them?
“Anyway, once you’re all set, head upstairs and wake me, do you know how to wake a lamia?” Twin tilted his head at Ruby’s odd question.
“There’s a specific way to wake you?” He asked and Ruby giggled.
“No, but it’s the way I like to get up, here…” Ruby had Twin stand on his hind legs and hold his forelegs, Ruby then placed a thick coil atop them and helped him wrap it over his shoulder down his side like it was an ammo bandolier “You wrap yourself up, get your warmth in my cold scales. It helps me wake up.” Twin flushed but nodded with a little smile.
“Okay.” Was all he managed as Ruby pulled her tail away, flicking his chin to turn his gaze back up as he watched the point around Ruby’s waist shift and flex as she moved her tail.
“Now, let’s keep going,” Ruby said slithering back out the room “Once I’m clean and ready for the day you will head up to my room,” Ruby began heading up a spiral ramp, leading to a single door, pushing it open revealed a large, lavish looking room, though with very little furniture despite that. A large fireplace, which was just low embers now and looked slightly blackened and dirty as if suffering from cleaning neglect, a walk-in wardrobe that dominated one whole wall, a few noticeable gaps in the line-up available, with a little pile set aside with dark coloured garments, and the bed, which was the size of a normal room, the bedsheets were slightly ruffled and messy and beside it, on a bedside table, was a small stack of sealed folders. Ruby flushed “Sorry it’s such a mess,” Ruby said flushing “I’ve been getting a lot of work recently after the dinner and festival so even I couldn’t tidy up after myself. Some ponies didn’t take to the royal sisters stepping down from leadership in place of our kin very well and seem to think they can force them out of retirement and the festival was thanking ponies for accepting us, which they didn’t like, so, yeah… that and a load of staff got eat- …switched jobs for other lamias after the dinner.” Ruby said, somehow smoothly shifting, not even with a little stutter, from what she had been about to originally say.
“Well, it would be redundant to hire me if it was all clean already, right?” Ruby smiled nodding at Twin’s point.
“Naturally. Once I’ve had my bath you’ll head up here, put out the fire if it is still burning so it can cool out, make the bed, take any dirty clothing down to the laundry room, there’s a little side room not far from the greenhouse that heads downstairs to where it is, it also has dusting equipment, come back here and dust and then clean out the fireplace and relight a new fire. You’ll find it to be more than enough work, but just in case it isn’t see to the living room as well as I spend a lot of time there. You know where it is?” Twin nodded.
“Bolt showed me earlier.” Twin said and Ruby nodded happily.
“Good, I was concerned you might not know. Anyway, when you’re cleaning the living room, if you get to it, and I’m there you’re more than welcome to wrap a coil or two around your body, I know it can get quite warm.” Ruby said with a grin “No doubt Bolt told you if I want food you’ll take the order to him?” Another nod “Wonderful, he’ll bring it out so your own duties won’t be interrupted. Now, do you have any questions?” Ruby inquired “Job related first.” She added as a cheeky afterthought.
“How long will I work, both shift and contract wise?” Twin asked.
“You can quit at the end of any given month without any problems once you sign on, and you work until the jobs I have assigned you are completed, once done you can relax and enjoy yourself. If you want to head out the manor, speak to the captain and he’ll give you a tracker.” Twin looked confused at the last part.
“A tracker? Why do I need a tracker?” Twin asked.
“To make sure you’re safe for one, and to make sure another lamia doesn’t snatch up my staff… again,” Ruby growled softly “We tend to be…” Ruby looped a coil around Twin’s back pulling him close, her nose touching his “Grabby.” Ruby finished with a smile and Twin chuckled nervously as his vision was entirely purple now, before Ruby let go of him “Anything else you need to know?”
Twin shuffled awkwardly “Pay is sixteen full bits an hour.” Ruby said without needing the question.
“Oh, thanks…” Twin hesitated “You also said you would ‘educate’ me on lamia culture?” He asked and Ruby grinned.
“Let’s give you a day to settle into the routine, then I’ll show you the wonders of lamias, okay, Twinwing?” Twin nodded happily “Alright, go see Alex about your contract.” Twin nodded and left the room, heading back downstairs.
As Twin was passing the staffroom, the mare from earlier was stood in the doorway, waiting “Hold up,” She said quietly, with an urgent look upstairs “Are you going to sign on?” Twin nodded, uncertain if he liked her fearful tone “Don’t. Just leave, get out and don’t look back whilst you still can. That… ‘mare’ she’s a monster, more like a demon really! All the other staff are in her coils and you will be too if you stay, so get out now! If you sign on she’ll-” The mare suddenly stopped speaking, clutching her throat as a red aura floated around her neck.
“A demon, huh,” Ruby said softly, slithering down the hallway, her horn aglow with magic, the mare whimpered trying to shuffle inside the staff room but Ruby tugged her forward into a coil that grabbed her by the waist “Don’t worry about it, Twinwing… she just thought you might be taking her position since her work has been lacklustre.” The mare wriggled and struggled, trying to break free “She tends to my room,” Ruby explained and the mare shook her head frantically “I’ll see her contract is… terminated.” The mare’s eyes widened and she gave a little choked sob, shaking her head more desperately “Be still, hummingbird .” Ruby said and the mare froze, Twin noticing for a split second the eye on her neck glowing “Follow me and we’ll sort out your punishment, come on.” Ruby gave the mare a pull and she followed along obediently, with a sad whimper.
“Hay, you can always find another job.” Twin said smiling at her. She didn’t look back but Twin swore he heard her sob.
Twin continued on his way down to Alex’s office, knocking lightly on the door “Come in,” Alex droned softly after a short pause and Twin opened the door, finding Alex sat atop a pudgy pile of coils forming a chair, Twin piecing it together than he was sat atop the same kind of coils his bed was made from “Ah, you’re back, I have a uniform for you,” Alex said motioning to his desk which had a neatly folded pile of clothing that perfectly matched Bolt’s and the other male staff “And the contract.” Alex said pushing a few sheets of paper forward with a pen sat atop “You will begin tomorrow, so today would be a good time to familiarise yourself with the place.” Alex said as Twin walked up to the desk pulling it forward to read.
Twin skimmed over the words, written to the minimum size legally allowed, only a few words being taken in, nothing specific “Alright,” Twin signed his name on a designated dotted line, below a line that said ‘Employees agree to all the following terms and conditions without question and will obey their new employer fully, including personal titles, such as goddess, mistress/master, etc.’ Twin hesitated looking at the end but Alex pulled it away quickly “Do I need to call Ruby Mistress?” Twin asked and Alex signed his name slowly and carefully.
“No, you’ll understand when you can call her that.” Alex said cryptically.
“Understand?” Twin asked baffled but Alex didn’t answer, instead he pushed the uniform forward.
“Try it on and familiarise yourself with wherever Mistress has specified you need to work, then go to bed. See me if you have any problems. Food is served in the staff room at seven, twelve, six and desserts at nine if Bolt has anything that’s about to go out of date.” Alex said waving to the door as he clicked on his computer screen and slowly leaned back, zoning out.
Twin decided he’d been asked out and didn’t want to set a bad first impression, so he grabbed his uniform and left hastily… missing the point when Alex’s eyes began to shift with various coloured rings…
Twin looked around the hallway, heading for his bag before turning around and heading up to his room, placing it atop his desk to unpack later. Twin set his uniform down beside it, looking over the red garment. It was a warm colour and had a wonderful snake-like pattern to it, and Twin vaguely wondered how much it must cost to get them all for the staff members working here. Twin decided to give it a try, pulling the suit on, the inner linings were soft and squishy and felt quite nice against his fur, not needing a shirt to separate it from his body, and when Twin clipped the collar on it has a perfect snugness to it, like he was having his throat playfully squeezed. Twin giggled, hopping around, this was a much better job than his last one, a sexy snake boss, a comfy uniform, that didn’t itch, and his own room and food, with decent pay to boot!
“ I should sell my house. ” Twinwing thought with a nod, rubbing his collar “ I don’t need it here, with Ruby. ”. Twin made his way out the room, heading for the staff room. It was a large square room full of plush snake coil seats and regular bean bags and sofas, a central table was piled with food and Twin sat down to snack away, very few of the skeleton crew staff taking notice of him.
Once full and stuffed, Twin headed back to his room, undressing and flopping onto his bed, gleefully rolling around to get a feel, noticing a stray coil getting snagged and looping over him “Oh no, I’m being coiled up!” Twin cried out softly to himself rolling over and over until he had sunk under the coils, wriggling around to get his head free from the intense heat he was producing under the ‘covers’ as he laughed merrily.
This place was great!
Ruby beckoned with her tail, opening her mouth, as her maid stared down into the red fleshy maw “Get inside, you know you deserve it.” Ruby cooed as the mare stepped forward obediently, now fully aware of her mistake and she agreed heartedly with Ruby that she ought to be put in ‘prison’.
The acceptance gate was oddly damp, probably suffering from leaks no doubt, as well as cramped, the mare had to crawl through to get inside, quickly sliding down towards her cell once she got going. She hummed, it wasn’t so bad, a tiny space but it was a snug size really, and the bed was beyond the comfort level she had expected. It was already lights out though… time to… sleep…
“Now, enjoy your little prison sentence.” Ruby said to her ‘former’ maid as she rubbed her tail, a soft gurgle and moan could just barely be heard, the mare would no doubt be terrified once she awoke from trance and survival instincts would make her struggle, even if it was beyond pointless now, but Ruby’s body had ways of coaxing a pony into submission on its own. Ruby licked her lips leaning back into her bed “I hope you were a good trade Twinwing, and not a disappointment like this one, staff recruitment has been rather dry lately… I do so enjoy Pegasi and I want to feel your wings in my coils real soon.” Ruby mumbled to herself chuckling as she sighed, leaning back to relax and sleep off her meal.
In the gentle soothing quiet of the morning, Twin groaned softly, his ear folding against his head as he heard several doors open and shut unceremoniously loudly, the ponies leaving them disregarding the sleeping staff present. Shortly after that disturbance however, the sound of something metal being hit forced Twin to snap his hooves to his ears, groaning louder than before. Or at least try, when he tried to cover his ears his hooves couldn’t swing around due to the coils, Twin had to wriggle free and by the time he’d gotten free he was mostly awake and the sound had stopped, replaced instead by other doors opening and loud shuffling. Twin sighed, pushing himself up and grabbing his uniform, walking out into the hallway, full of the other staff members. Twin found the end of the line and looked over his new co-workers.
Twin began to notice large gaps in the crowd and they shuffled in a bizarre chaotic order towards any available bathroom when the occupant finally left, and many of the bedroom doors Twin was going past as he waited were labelled ‘unoccupied’. Twin estimated at least more than half were labelled as such, Ruby must have lost a lot of staff recently at this ‘dinner’. Twin tapped his hoof waiting, despite the less than full staff list, the time it took some to shower was ridiculous and Twin debated whether he should have stayed in bed a little bit longer. Then again, if he’d woken up when he should have he wouldn’t be in this mess. Either way, the tiny crowd finally dissipated and Twin stepped into one of the bathrooms, quickly jumping into the already warm water, one benefit at least to going after the others. As Twin soaked his body he paused, staring at the two hanging bottles, both were labelled shampoo with various brandings plastered on the side, one a simple summer sky blue, the other purple, making Twin think of the greenhouse trees for some reason. The truly odd thing however was that the purple bottle was written over in black marker with the word ‘pets’ over it. It was noticeably lower in quantity than the other, so it must be popular… it couldn’t hurt to try, right?
Twin took the cap off, sniffing and the smell alone was enough to confirm that this was a perfectly okay idea to Twin! It was so sweet, yet also savoury like a fruity salad topped with honey and slices of cake on the side. Twin smiled as he poured some out and experienced a very strange sensation, where the thick gloopy gel landed and settled on his hoof there was a tingling sensation as if he was going numb because his brain couldn’t handle all the relaxing sensations he was being presented with. His leg quivering slightly in delight, Twin bit his lip with a quiet sigh. It felt as if his muscles were melting into this stuff.
“Lamias are great,” Twin mumbled, deciding that he wouldn’t use any other gel for washing now he’d tried this. This thought was enforced as Twin began to rub the gel into his mane turning into purple coloured frothy bubbles. As Twin rubbed the shampoo in it felt as if thousands of tiny snakes were slithering over his muscles and nerves, squeezing him tight enough to go lightheaded and fuzzy, but with enough slack he could feel them rub all around his brain. Twin’s mouth dropped open and he let out a gargled moan, before coughing on the water filling his mouth “Okay… muh-maybe don’t face the shower when putting this on…” Twin mumbled to himself turning around and spreading the gel over his wings, which flung open before he’d even touched them, as if his body was openly saying how welcome the sensations were.
Twin was soon covered in the soapy bubbles, head hanging low as if bearing a heavy weight, his mouth vaguely open as he tried his best not to drool. Unable to back up properly, Twin merely sat down under the water and hummed cheerfully as the bubbles were washed away, slithering down his body with the water. Twin poked a hoof to his chest, feeling a slight tingling sensitivity wherever he touched, it was delightful. However, Twin was soon clean of suds and as much as he wanted to make use of the gel a second time, he had work to do and upsetting Ruby might get him fired from the gel- her employment.
Twin stood up and turned the water dial off, stepping out onto the already damp bath mat, drying himself quickly before dressing in his uniform. As Twin put the suit top on he bit his lip, feeling the fabric rubbing over his body, shifting back and forth to enjoy the sensation of movement caressing him. The collar was even better, it hadn’t changed but it suddenly felt tighter. Twin wasn’t sure why this change was so thrilling, but he didn’t care, instead he placed a hoof to his neck and pushed in, gulping against his own frog whilst smiling.
Reality, once again, had to tap Twin’s shoulder to get him moving and he trotted with a cheerful pace out the bathroom and into Ruby’s “Looks like the new guy enjoyed the dripleaf.” One mare commented smiling to her friend as Twin passed them by.
Once inside the bathroom, Twin wasted no time turning the hot tap all the way around. It felt like he was trying to turn a gate wheel due to its size and the amount of water that gushed out was befitting that as well. It was a very brief wait until the bath was pooling up with hot water, steaming up the room. Twin began turning the tap back early, so he didn’t flood the floor, then headed over to Ruby’s personal shampoo and oil selection. Twin took a couple down at random, reading the labels, ‘lotus’ and ‘strawberry’ were normal alongside most of the other shampoos. Twin soon noticed the oils however, which were less of your typical variety. They included things such as ‘a soft hug’ scale soothing oil ‘slither ease’ for mobile lamias… and ‘ensnaring fragrance’ which was a big bottle with a picture of a snake, its body letting off little love hearts and air bubbles that popped into tiny swirls. Despite being written in the universe’s tiniest font, Twin instantly noticed the marking for dripleaf. This seemed good, and lotus was a nice exotic flower that would go with it perfectly. Twin set the selection by the edge of the bath before making his way back out of the rom, heading up the spiral ramp to Ruby’s room.
Twin lightly knocked on the door, but there was no response, after waiting a moment, Twin pushed the door open slowly and as quietly as he could, peeking his head in. The fire had burnt out, leaving only a tiny smoke trail floating up the chimney with a few red glowing embers remaining. This left the room dim and dark and Twin could only make out the mound of coils that was his employer atop the bed, a coil occasionally shifting causing the bed to creak and the massive sheets to rustle.
Twin squeezed in through the door and closed it behind him softly, not wanting the light to disturb Ruby as he slowly crept forward. Twin glanced up towards the head of the bed, roughly making out Ruby’s form laying on her belly using her own tail as a pillow, her chest and tail rising and falling with her breathing. Twin gulped and opened his wings, floating up just above the great serpent’s tail and landing amongst the piles of coils. As instructed, Twin knelt down and grabbed a coil, feeling the muscles and fat slip around his legs, moulding to him slightly as gravity pulled downward, struggling with the weight now Ruby wasn’t aiding him in the task. Twin grunted then let out a sharp gasp, freezing as Ruby rolled over with a groan, the coil Twin was holding slithering over him slightly, rubbing his legs before falling still again. Twin was meant to be waking her up but something told Twin he wanted to do it the way she had specified to him the previous night, logic told him this was because he didn’t want to be standing beside a sleepy, and possibly grumpy, snake that would no doubt be angry at him for such an awakening.
Twin gulped as Ruby settled down again and pulled the coil up with a heave, managing to lift it over his right shoulder where it landed atop him, slapping against his body with a heavy thud of scales, muscles and fat, causing Twin to pitch downward with an involuntary gasp as his lungs emptied from the collision. As Twin recovered, the coil slipped and slid around, grabbing Twin’s body and hugging him tightly, pressing into his neck. Twin looked around, hearing soft rustling, the coils all seemed to be curving towards the source of heat, moving away from the side previously facing the fire towards where Twin had settled. Twin stood up, taking a step back and he felt his hoof sink into coily fat which tried to loop around him quickly, however Ruby’s grace wasn’t carried over in her sleep and Twin was able to move forward out of grabbing range.
“ What am I doing… I… have to let her coil me up… but I don’t want to get crushed! ” Twin thought glancing around at the mass of scales approaching him from every side, some rolling over other coils forming barriers making the bed shift and sag as well, only making it more difficult to avoid the mass of scales.
Twin moved sideways before grabbing another coil, which tried to loop around his legs before he wrapped it over his back, his wings opening up to let the coil trail over them and help support the weight, the coil slithered slowly, as if exploring, curling around Twin’s wings. Twin stood upright, stock still, as his feathers were ruffled and shivered all over. Pegasi, much like Unicorns with their horns, had sensitive wing tips. Twin tried to grab the coil but couldn’t reach it, the one over his shoulder preventing him from curling his leg around far enough, so he tried pushing the coil going over him aside to get some room. This proved to be a mistake as the coil instead tightened around Twin when he pushed against it, alongside the wing coil and Twin staggered, trying to keep his mouth shut from the sensation of scales on his feathers. His stumbling led him to the encircling coils, which had finally closed the distance and he tripped, falling forward atop them. Struggling to move his legs, Twin pushed up, trying to stand but the coils seemed to be speeding up and the coils already around Twin weighed him down. Twin got halfway back up before falling, a coil sliding over his head pushing it down so he had a face full of squishy red and white scales. Twin’s front hooves slipped between two coils, which tightened when presented with the encased warmth. Twin was beginning to panic now, as he was unable to get up, more coils slipped over his rear legs and his head waving about only stimulated Ruby’s predatory instincts in her sleep, the lamia humming, dreaming, totally unaware of her butler’s perilous situation that she was causing.
Twin finally snapped into a blind panic, disregarding why he had begun so carefully before, calling out to the massive serpent “Ruby!” Even with his face full of coils the sound was decently loud in the dead silent room.
Twin felt the coils halt in their progress and heard a single slithering movement to his left. Twin was able to turn his head to look and could see Ruby sitting up, rubbing her eyes before looking down at Twin as he shuffled under her coils.
“This isn’t quite how I wanted you to wake me when I asked you to warm my coils,” Ruby said softly leaning into her pillows and yawning. Twin gulped, feeling his neck press into the coils, concerned he’d upset Ruby “Although, I suppose this was your first time. Next time, Twinwing, simply lay on your back and let my coils do as they please, they won’t hurt you if you don’t struggle,” Ruby rubbed Twin’s cheek with a coil “That includes shaking your head.” She added with a squeeze.
“Sorry, Ruby.” Twin said as he tried to push out of his current position, only to have a coil loop over his neck and tug him back down forcefully, the coils pressing down to render him immobile again.
“It’s quite alright, it just means you’ll warm me like this today. Now, hold still… just five more… degrees…” Ruby cooed with a grin.
Twin shuffled, getting as comfortable as he could whilst smothered in coils, feeling Ruby slither her tail back and forth over his body. Was she using friction to get more warmth or trying to lull him into relaxing and falling still, maybe both… because Twin could feel his body heating up and yet he couldn’t help but slump down into the coils, trying to let them rub as much of his body as they could manage. Twin felt his eyes droop, resting his head on a coil, this was peaceful… perfect, he could just lay here and forget about the world… his worries… his responsibilities…
Twin snapped up “R-Ruby, your bath will be getting cold!” Twin said looking at the lamia as she opened her eyes again, sighing.
“Yes, I suppose so, and it would be a waste of bits to fill it again… very well, Twinwing, I’m getting up.” Ruby said lifting Twin up into the air and uncoiling him, leaving him flailing in the air until his wings took over, pitching left and right until he landed unsteadily “Real ace flying.” She commented and Twin flushed, heading for the door with a pout as Ruby chuckled.
Twin led Ruby downstairs, the lamia yawning a couple times as she slithered along, eyeing up her latest plaything between each one as they made their way past a few staff members already cleaning the hallways. Did they do this daily? Ruby must like her place very clean, no wonder she wanted new staff, even untrained like Twin.
“ She does have a high reputation to keep up, she works for the lamia Queen after all she has to set a good example to visitors and her peers! ” Twin thought, glancing back at a mare polishing a hoof rail, a dull smile on her face as her eyes seemed to glow as she worked.
Twin bumped into the bathroom door before he could look properly and backed up, shaking his head slightly before pushing the door open with his hoof, as opposed to his face. The room had filled with a heavy cloud of steam and water was dripping down the tiled walls now into various drains dotting the floor, furthering the illusion of a pool over a bath. Ruby slid past Twin up to the water’s edge and very simply slid out over the edge, her pony body floating, just brushing the surface causing a small wave that sent ripples to the edges before Ruby slid down, her tail swishing over the tiles into the water with hardly a sound. Twin watched, fascinated, as Ruby quickly raised the water level to the point it began to overflow, Twin hadn’t appreciated how large Ruby was, or how thick her coils became at certain points, growing thicker than his body and still going. The water was alive with twisting white and red, distorted by the water waving about from the small disturbance of Ruby entering her bath. Finally, Ruby’s tail tip slid in and the room was nearly silent, save for Twin’s breathing and Ruby shuffling above the water. Ruby lowered herself down to her neck, shifting her coils, and Twin heard a series of subdued shuffling under the water, scales on ceramic tiles, which sounded like the ground was being moved beneath him, yet it was oddly calming to listen to.
Ruby settled herself atop her coils, floating on the surface, warming herself with her eyes closed enjoying the sensation of heat flooding her body “Uh, Ruby?” Twin called and she opened her eyes, looking over as Ruby bobbed slightly.
“Yes, Twinwing?” She asked smiling.
“I can’t reach you from here, could you… come over to the edge of the bath?” Twin requested, awkwardly stood by the oil and shampoo waiting.
Ruby smiled, but it faded as what Ruby desired didn’t seem to ping for Twin, or maybe it did and he was just too nervous. She was going incredible fast right now for him, so she decided to let Twin have this one “Alright, one moment.” Ruby said standing up and spinning around, her tail starting to roll over behind her as she did so, Twin glancing up as he heard several splashes proceeding this movement.
Ruby had raised her tail, swinging her coils through the air in various arcs, each one unique, be it just a subtle angle or the size of the coils it didn’t matter, each one was its own little wonder. Twin stared, watching water droplets drip down into the water, splattering down like rain, Ruby’s coils sparkling and reflecting a clean sheen of colours over the length of her tail. Ruby let her tail slip back into the water, splattering the edges of the bath again as she glided over to Twin with only a single deft push of her tail. Ruby stopped and settled several coils against the edge of the pool, making it appear shallow if you took Ruby’s tail to be the new ‘base’ of the pool. Ruby settled by the edge sitting low in the water as she sighed happily.
Twin sat down by the edge of the pool, leaning over as he grabbed the shampoo bottle first uncapping it and letting the smell of lotus fill the room steadily “Mmmm, so you like lotus, Twinwing?” Ruby asked as Twin began to massage the gel into Ruby’s mane, the lamia sitting up so he could, embarrassingly, rub the soap over her body.
“Er… I guess, it smells nice, sure…” Twin said with a deep flush.
“Why didn’t you pick what you liked best?” Ruby asked.
“I… didn’t really look at all the shampoo options,” Twin gulped as his voice dropped “I focused on one of the oils in particular and just grabbed what looked good as a shampoo between the first ones I grabbed.” Twin admitted.
“And what was the oil you chose?” Twin shuffled where he sat on the tiled pool edge.
“Ensnaring fragrance.” Twin said, picking up the bottle and showing Ruby “I enjoyed the dripleaf shampoo this morning.” Twin admitted with a smile, which Ruby noticed smirking as she glanced back at him, as well as the slightly glassy, memory distant, gaze in his eyes “What?” Twin asked as his gaze refocused.
“Oh, nothing. It’s just that most of my new workers never use dripleaf, at least not for a while, not until they have grown accustomed to me and my… tendencies.” Ruby said whilst staring at Twin with a small, devious, smirk, confusing Twin.
“What kind of tendencies?” Twin asked, daftly.
Ruby chuckled “Well, I get accusations that I’m a little… grabby,” Ruby cooed as her coils slithered up the edges of the pool, curling their damp warm scales around Twin’s hind legs and rubbing them “But, honestly, I just like having ponies to snuggle up with, you’re all so cute and fluffy and just so… squeezable!” Ruby tilted her head back, reaching up with her hooves, caressing Twin’s face “You don’t mind though, do you, Twinwing?” Ruby asked as the stallion halted his work on Ruby, staring into those pools of purple and black.
“No.” Twin said, hardly able to believe his mouth had just moved to admit that without his own brain’s permission.
“Is that so? It wouldn’t bother you if I looped several thick, heavy, strong coils around your body squeezing tighter and tighter until you’re wheezing for breath, barely able to wriggle in my grip as I hold you, suspended in mid-air, before me?” Ruby asked before giggling at Twin’s nervous face “Don’t look so frightened, I wouldn’t hurt you,” Ruby then mumbled to herself “But you would love it anyway.”
Twin failed to properly hear what Ruby said and couldn’t question her as she suddenly let her pony body slip down and fall under the water, her mane spreading out and Twin felt Ruby’s name was very befitting. The suds dissipated and broke away and the light of the bathroom beamed down on Ruby perfectly, her mane flying around her, phantom-like, floating and almost glowing, reflecting perfectly like a freshly polished gemstone.
Ruby sat back up out of the water, droplets running down her body back into the mass of water, her mane falling down and clinging to her body as it too dripped rapidly, partially covering her face with damp hair, yet Twin found this look to be just as graceful and beautiful as Ruby with her mane done up. Ruby smiled at Twin as she pushed her mane back to see fully.
“The oil, Twinwing.” Ruby said giving him a casual push with her tail so he turned over, grabbing the bottle and settling down by the pool edge again.
“So, how does this work, do you need to climb out or...?” Twin asked awkwardly holding the bottle, unsure how to proceed.
In response, Ruby lifted a coil, as thick as Twin’s body, and laid it on the floor in front of him “I’ll lift my coils out of the bath as you oil them up for me. Simply put some of the oil on my coils, you don’t need much it goes a long way, and rub it in on top and under,” Ruby grinned “You can sit on my coils if you desire to at any point. Just pull the coil along when you are done with it and I’ll slide it along so you can do another section.” Ruby ordered and Twin nodded, shuffling closer to the dripping coil and kneeling before it, opening the bottle.
Twin sighed, breathing in that soothing, sweet and savoury scented aroma, grinning foolishly as he simply started at Ruby’s coils, which were rolling slowly back and forth causing a rainbow of colour to flow along the scales like a river, Twin’s brain slowly churning over what he had to do next as he stared in awe. Ruby cleared her throat and chuckled as Twin snapped back to reality, sitting up straighter and turning the bottle over, pouring a little onto Ruby’s offered coil. Twin’s hooves shook slightly before he placed them down atop the meaty tube, into the little splatter of oil. Twin’s spine tingled and his whole body shivered in delight as he flushed, rubbing around Ruby’s coils, pushing in, the coils easily giving way to even the smallest of pushes, as if Twin was massaging tubes filled with semi-solid water. Ruby sighed happily and laid back, relaxing, as Twin worked along Ruby’s tail, feeling his hooves grow numb… and yet sensitive, feeling every individual scale slip underneath him and along his frogs as he rubbed Ruby down gently. When Twin reached Ruby’s underbelly he found it was incredibly soft, the top scales had a texture that was much tougher indicating strength but, despite being used to slither upon, Ruby’s underbelly was incredibly smooth, with much fewer scales making it up, it felt wonderful to rub his hooves against it.
Twin shuffled, glancing at Ruby who seemed to sense his desire and laughed quietly to herself, before nudging his stationery hooves with her tail, which spurred Twin to continue. Despite the growing want for Twin to leap at the mound of scales and coils, he resisted, focusing instead on rubbing circles along and down Ruby’s tail, getting further and further, with thicker and thicker coils forcing Twin to stand just to tend to both sides. Finally, Ruby climbed out, dragging the rest of her tail with her, which she concentrated into a ball around her oiled coils and rubbed them together, slipping and sliding them through and against one another. Twin watched, his hooves still hovering in the air, watching one of the segments of tail he’d oiled up within the centre, watching other parts of Ruby’s tail flash and slide over it, gripping and squeezing it. Twin gulped as he tried to avoid sinking into the growing fantasy of him being that coil…
“Not bad for your first day, Twinwing, well done. Now, I have some paperwork that I must tend to myself regarding my recent work, you can see to my bedroom now, I will be in the living room when you finish.” Twin nodded as he made his way towards the door “Oh, and Twinwing,” Twin stopped looking back at Ruby as she held out a coil towards him “You are more than welcome to them… anytime, I can show you just how dexterous a lamia can be.” Twin smiled and flushed, bowing his head a little in embarrassment.
“I er… thank you, Ruby.” He said and Ruby nodded and Twin left.
Ruby sighed with a grin “Now… I think there’s time for food and maybe a little play with Bolt before I have to get stuck into my own work!” Ruby thought out loud with a wide grin.
Twin made his way quickly back up to Ruby’s room, opening the door without as much caution as before when he was sneaking in to wake Ruby. Closing it behind him, Twin glanced around the dim room before locating the curtained window, jumping upon the bed to reach it and pulling it open to bathe the room in bright sunlight. The window seemed to perfectly catch every ray and direct it upon Ruby’s bed, Twin could already feel the heat on the back of his neck. With a shrug, Twin set to work pulling the bed lining back into place, straightening the duvet and sitting the pillows up, puffing them back up into a normal shape after Ruby had squished them or hugged them tightly. Twin briefly checked for any clothing dotted around but found nothing knocked under the bed or under the slither-in wardrobe’s sliding door. With that fact confirmed, Twin briefly left to head down the two ramps, towards the greenhouse side and down into the laundry room. Much like any basement, it had a low stone ceiling and the air was thick with moisture from the machines and the air was stale from poor circulation since it had no windows and the door was always closed. Twin checked around, a few rows of washers and driers lining one wall, another holding a bunch of dusters and spray polish. Twin smiled, grabbing a set alongside a black bin bag and searched around until he found a dustpan and brush before heading back up, passing the living room as Bolt was heading towards the room, a tray of food stretched over his back.
“Oh, the new member, hello,” Bolt said with an odd dull tone.
“Oh, hay Bolt, you alright?” Twin asked noticing Bolt’s tone.
“Yes, I’m great, I’m just taking a meal Bolt made to Goddess.” Bolt said.
“Er… okay…?” Why was he speaking in third person? And was he talking about Ruby as his ‘Goddess’ now, not his Mistress?
“Hmmm… oh, you don’t know…? Well, you’ll find out, Goddess seems to have an interest in you. Then again, she likes all Pegasi… anyway, I best get in before the food goes cold, you should get back to work as well… Twinwing, right?” Bolt said with a little, lazy wave before ducking inside.
“Boy,” Twin mumbled continuing on back towards Ruby’s room “That was weird.”
Once back in the bedroom, Twin set to work brushing the dust from the bedside table, the head board, window sill, wardrobe shelves and the fireplace top. When the room had a nice sheen, just like Ruby’s beautiful coils, Twin set to work emptying the fireplace of burnt out logs and ash into the bin bag, once done Twin gave the brick wall a polish to get the soot and black markings off, revealing the ruby red bricks behind it all. When it was sparkling clean, Twin grabbed several logs and scraps of paper, throwing them in and lighting the fire. As Twin when to sit up, he noticed one of the old clippings, the headline had already burnt and Twin couldn’t get close enough to read the text, but it was a picture of Ruby alongside another lamia mare, this one a wonderful blue and golden colour. They had their coils stretched before them with several mares coiled up, six regular ponies, or so they appeared, and the two royal sisters. They all looked really happy!
Twin smiled and stood up, glad to know he was with a nice, kind and clearly popular lamia. Twin looked around the room, it was perfectly clean and crisp and ready for Ruby’s return that evening, Twin heard a soft grumbled and finally took notice of the time outside, it was a little past midday, had time gone that fast? Twin got up, heading for the staff room, inside, sure enough, there was lunch ready and waiting. The sandwich stacks had already been broken down and there was a massive pot that was entirely empty but seemed to have been something Bolt made as it was clearly a pudding of some sort with some still warm custard in a pitcher beside it, along with about nine empty ones. That, or everypony here had a weird taste for custard with sandwiches. Twin took a dozen small sandwich pieces and sat down, looking around the room, only noticing now he was almost entirely alone. In fact, he WAS alone, nopony else was present in the room, it was deserted. Twin shrugged, guess he had been late, sure seemed that way, but as he had no direct boss, seeing as Alex seemed to work more towards paperwork than room cleaning, to give additional jobs, Twin was able to allocate his own breaks. Or so it seemed anyway.
With a contently full belly, Twin looked around the room, but none of the games spoke to him, some looked rather interesting, like a visor settled on a bundle of coils that seemed to be glowing but Twin didn’t feel like giving them a try right now. Instead, Twin followed Ruby’s instructions if he ran out of work to do in her bedroom and made his way down to the living room. Twin pushed the door open, forgetting that he ought to knock like Ruby’s bedroom if he suspected she was inside the room, which he should have since she had specified she would be there earlier! Ruby was sat with her coils piled up at a thirty-degree angle in front of her, laying upon them was Bolt, who was bound by several thick loops of snake muscle over his entire body, only his head, cushioned between the backrest of coils, was visible, watching Ruby with a content open mouth smile. Ruby looked up quickly and Bolt moaned softly, pushing up against the coils to get closer to Ruby who pushed him down by shoving a thick coil into his face making him cry out, the sound comically muffled.
“Twinwing!” Ruby said with a slightly frightened and surprised squeak and Twin heard a heavy dragging on the floor and a little groan from Bolt who, when he was allowed to sat up, was rubbing his head blinking sleepily, as if he had been dazed or hit suddenly, which Twin understood he had been when Ruby slapped him with those massive coils “You should have knocked!” Ruby scolded, composing herself.
“Sorry, I thought you would have left… I’m here to clean the living room… I can-” Ruby shook her head before Twin could finish the suggestion.
“No, no, it’s fine, come in, Twinwing… please.” Ruby said beckoning him forward with her tail and Twin only realised he’d stepped forward when the door slammed shut behind him. He’d moved?
“I didn’t mean to interrupt.” Twin said weakly stepping forward towards Ruby, a bit closer than most would in his shoes.
Ruby sat up slithering up to Twin who quivered under her gaze, Ruby tilted his head up with her tail tip “ Think nothing of it. ” Ruby said, her voice soft and yet echoing in Twin’s ears, reverberating with power.
“Think nothing of it…” Twin droned then smiled, Ruby wasn’t mad that he’d barged in, he’d just have to make a note not to do it again “I’ll get to work.” Twin said simply, walking towards the shelves with the duster he’d brought with him.
“Ah, might I ask a request of you, Twinwing?” Ruby asked politely, Twin looking back as she shuffled Bolt around in her coils, the stallion, previously standing over Twin, now looked so small and helpless in Ruby’s coils “Would you mind if I wrapped you up?” Ruby asked with a sweet smile.
“But… how would I clean?” Twin asked with a glance towards Bolt again, who Ruby gave a little affection squeeze when she noticed the little flicker from Twin’s eyes, Bolt’s muffled moan making Twin shuffle where he stood, biting his lip.
“I wouldn’t coil up your front legs, silly, just the rest of you. And with that uniform on you can’t really fly and reach the top shelves, can you?” Twin shook his head “No, so go on… let me wrap you up. You can’t say you didn’t enjoy it this morning, I promise it’ll feel so much better, I’m awake now and I can coil you up much more gracefully.” Ruby said holding out a coil the width of Twin’s head, Ruby dragging more coils forward, flipping them over onto their smooth red belly scales. Twin watched the light of the room flicker and dance along the canvas white of Ruby’s tail, which seemed to absorb and reflect every flicker of colour just… perfectly…
“Okay, I guess it won’t hurt.” Twin said walking forward a little closer so the coil was hovering a few inches from his face.
“Delightful, thank you so much for trusting me Twin, you won’t regret it.” Ruby said with a devilish grin.
Twin watched Ruby lift her coils, circling him in a hoovering fence of scales, trapping him in like penned in cattle. Twin glanced around a little nervously before a coil slipped around his neck, the cool appendage a soothing contrast to Twin’s hot neck. Twin moaned, smiling as Ruby rubbed and pinched Twin’s neck, making him dip his head forward to give her a better reach of his neck to pamper him. Ruby looped the coil around the front of Twin’s chest, lifting him up, two coils hooping under Twin’s front legs holding them up as if Twin was hanging onto a life preserver, Ruby’s ‘fence’ of coils closing in quickly looping around Twin’s body, corkscrewing down to his flank and down his legs, two separate coils tending to each one. Ruby tensed her coils, getting a firm grip on Twin as she let him stand on the tips of his hind legs, but almost all of his weight was being supported by the coils so Twin didn’t feel any awkward balance in this position.
“How’s that?” Ruby asked tightening the coil around Twin’s neck.
“Gulk! …Good.” Twin admitted as Bolt nodded in agreement, Ruby extending her squeezing to him as well, though it was clear to Twin, Ruby was being a lot harsher with her constriction on Bolt. Twin bit his lip, shifting where he stood as much as Ruby permitted “Ruby?” The lamia glanced from her head chef to Twin “Can you… squeeze me like Bolt?” Twin asked.
Ruby raised an eyebrow “Are you sure, Bolt has had much more time to adjust to more intense ‘hugs’ from my coils.” Ruby said as she tightened further with the red stallion as if to demonstrate, Bolt’s breathing halting entirely as his head slumped backward in a silent open mouth smile, a line of drool running down from the edge of his mouth, before Ruby relaxed and he was allowed to chokingly suck down some air.
Twin flushed, staring at Bolt’s blue tinged face, but also how delighted he looked, prodding Ruby’s coils to make her squeeze again, or tapping them to stop. Twin decided Ruby was right, he wasn’t ready for that level of intensity “Yeah, okay, you’re right… b-but can you still squeeze a little tighter?” Ruby smiled and began tightening.
“Just tell me when and I’ll use that as the limiter.” Ruby said and Twin nodded.
Ruby relaxed her coils, shifting and rolling them up Twin’s body, tilting his head upward as Ruby began to close in. Ruby didn’t pause continuing to push inward, the fat being subdued by the tension and muscles pushing through the giant tubes of scales, pushing into Twin’s body, pushing his chest and bones inward, preventing his lungs from filling fully. Twin began to take short, rapid and raspy breaths as his lungs shrank in size even further. Twin was panting at least a couple times a second, his heart fluttering and survival instincts screaming at him when he finally tapped out.
“Enough! Good, please!” He begged with a slight croak, the rising fear telling him Ruby would ignore his pleas.
But Twin’s untrusting mind was proven wrong as Ruby relaxed her grip, letting Twin slump and pant, coughing slightly “Okay, thank you.” Ruby said with a grin.
“Wait, I think I went too far!” Twin pleaded.
Ruby smiled “That’s your own fault, no changes now!” Ruby purred and Twin flushed “Don’t worry, you’ll like it, once you get use to it happening your fear will dissipate, you don’t see Bolt worrying when he can’t even get a wisp down!” Bolt managed a little nod with rolled up eyes, Ruby slid closer “And with practise you can have it just as tight.” She whispered “Now, get to dusting!” Ruby ordered lifting Twin up and turning him towards the shelves.
Twin raised his duster, running it along the top of the rows of books, many seemed magical, with various runes and star charts marking the spines, a few glowing when Twin ran the feathers of the duster over them, and one whispered to him to open it and he might have if Ruby wasn’t holding him back. Twin also cleaned the space between the books and the edge of the shelves. When one row was done Twin glanced back at Ruby, who was focusing on Bolt in his own mound of coils “Ruby can I-uck!” Ruby tightened her coil around Twin’s neck, silencing him.
“You do not speak when working in my coils Twin, if you want me to move you, stroke my coils and I will give you a new patch of dust to clean away, understand?” Twin nodded and reached up, running a hoof along Ruby’s tail gently, feeling it dip down as he stroked, curving so Twin covered more scales.
Ruby shifted her focus back to Twin and lifted him up off the ground, dangling in the air, presenting him with more dust lined books “There, see, so much easier, right Twinwing?” Ruby asked and Twin opened his mouth to speak, the coils closing in a little before he nodded “Smart colt.” Ruby cooed watching Twin return to work.
Ruby grinned, feeling the push of Twin’s chest expanding and contracting as he breathed, pushing into and against her coils. Ruby began to tense her grip, halting Twin’s chest from expanding properly as it was blocked by the wall of scales. Twin gulped, breathing out and trying to quickly breathe back in, even as he felt the coils close the space just a tiny bit, the little rubbing down the sides of his body indicating that Ruby was shifting her coils closer around him. Twin glanced down, watching the coils slide and shift threateningly as he dusted, unsure where he had and hadn’t done yet. It was getting difficult to focus over the rising panic.
Ruby cooed softly “Easy Twin, you’re not in any danger, relax… just relax,” Ruby rubbed her tail back and forth under Twin’s neck gently, pushing the coil over Twin’s chest a bit further in so he signed, expelling all the air he tried to hold in, the other coils catching up instead of the first loosening.
“R-Ruby, please, not too tight.” Twin pleaded, halting in his dusting to beg.
Ruby chuckled “No negotiating, just relax, I know your limits, perhaps better than even you do!” Ruby said as her tail continued to constrict.
Twin was already starting to wheeze softly as his lungs cried out for more air than he could provide them with. Survival instincts battled with Twin as he tried to continue with his job. Finally, somewhat satisfied, Twin desperately stroked Ruby’s tail but all she did was move him along, she didn’t relax her grip even slightly. Twin place the duster on top the next row of book then gasped, Ruby tighten firmly as she approached the limit Twin set, holding firmly. Twin’s head dipped forward, resting on the bookshelf as his vision blurred, a rising numbness in his brain and body creeping up his spine as Ruby let her tail gyrate slightly, rubbing him all over, teasing his feathers under the uniform.
Twin tried to cry out for Ruby to loosen up but only a weak croak escaped his lips, a line of drool dripping down his chin as Twin’s eyes began to roll. Then, when Twin was all but certain he was going to pass out, Ruby loosened her tail a little, not all at once, forcing Twin to gasp quickly, Ruby loosening steadily so Twin didn’t cough a single time, his lungs expanding and filling at a more comfortable rate. Twin’s breathing steadied and he sighed.
“Th-thank you.” He managed as Ruby stroked his mane as her tail gave a grumble.
“Oh, sorry boys, but the belly calls. Bolt would you get a prey ready for me in my room,” Ruby let go of Twin, catching him by his neck so he hung by a coil noose, kicking and flailing as he gasped air down around the thick ‘rope’. The coil was too thick to act as an actual noose but it did push into Twin’s throat with every breath before Ruby set Twin down on the floor “Twinwing when you are done, polish the railings on the stairs until you need to go to bed.” She must mean the ramps.
Twin nodded “Of course.” He said breathing freely.
“Next time, know you limits, okay?” Twin nodded as Ruby giggled “I look forward to the next ‘wrap up’ with you. Bolt, my prey?” Bolt snapped back to reality, jumping up and nodding as he galloped out, suddenly looking nervous at delaying.
Ruby slithered out after Bolt, humming contently and Twin returned to his work, finishing the lower shelves which took roughly fifteen minutes. Once done, Twin left the room and noticed just the back of Bolt entering the kitchen, he must have delivered Ruby’s meal. Twin vaguely wondered what ‘prey’ could be, a selection of meat? Ruby was part snake after all. Twin shrugged, sure it was just some lamia meal with the name acting as a pun… or maybe it was prey, live rabbits perhaps? They seemed suitable.
Twin contemplated this thought with “ I wonder if Ruby can unhinge her jaw… what would the rabbit look like going down? ” Twin wouldn’t get a chance to explore his imagination for a solution however as he had reached Ruby’s doorway. Best to start at the top and work down then.
Twin settled down on the ramp beside the railing, taking out a cloth and clearing away the hoof marks covering it, as well as various streaks where Ruby had used her tail as support as well. As Twin worked he heard noises from Ruby’s room, Ruby speaking, laughing softly and then…
“Oooohhh… Muh… Mistress!” A voice said, it was beautiful and smooth like silk, clearly a mare, and yet she sounded tired and sleepy, worn out.
“Quiet, Fleur, or you will have the whole manor listening!” Ruby scolded, her voice much clearer through the wooden barrier.
Twin flushed deeply as Ruby laughed and the voice moaned louder, Twin glanced back. Was Ruby and this mare… getting it on? Twin’s wings threatened to rip his uniform off as he heard another moan which suddenly became muffled, Ruby must have put her tail over the mare’s face so her moans from Ruby’s licking couldn’t be heard… or was she using her tail. Twin flushed deeply, his face tomato red as he stood up, he’d get in so much trouble but… a little peek… and maybe he could join in…
Twin stepped up to the door, hearing a muffled and subdued moan of delight and Twin carefully and quietly pushed the handle down, opening the door a crack. Twin felt some sort of iron weight drop into his belly. Twin wasn’t watching two mares locked in interlude, instead, Ruby was leaning back amidst a sea of white and red scales covering the top of the bed Twin had made earlier that day, her head tilted up towards the ceiling, her mouth open wider than was possible for a normal pony, her body rigid and forward, her throat, belly and the top of her tail was bulging outward with a sleek, regal like form pressing outward, the silhouette just visible but details distorted by scales and Ruby’s own body. Hanging out of Ruby’s mouth were the legs of a white mare, thin and long, with a neatly kempt light pink tail disappearing as if Ruby were devouring it like spaghetti. Twin watched, unable to look away, as Ruby gulped loudly, the mare moaning in conflicting delight at being reduced to a lamia’s snack. Twin watched as all but the tail disappeared, Ruby closing her mouth to slurp Fleur’s pink tail down after her body, the mare groaning as she slipped and slid into Ruby’s belly, her bulge pressing outward as the mare visibly struggled, her face sometimes pressing up, which Ruby kissed lightly.
“Delicious Fleur, wonderful.” Ruby cooed to the bulge which moaned in delight at being such a scrumptious snack.
Twin gulped, movement returning and he shut the door with a tiny quiet click. However, the closed door didn’t block one thing; Ruby turning to look, her tongue flickering out and recognising the scent. Twin quietly shuffled over to the railing, beads of sweat running down his head, as he returned to his work, hoping Ruby would stay inside for a while whilst Fleur made her decent.
Twin made a decision rather quickly; he had to get out of here! FAST!
Twin quickly finished the railing to a degree that it would pass, even if Ruby looked closely, and headed to the staff room. This time, he arrived amongst a bunch of others and sat down, grabbing a plate of hayburgers, but all Twin could do was stare at them, his stomach twisting and curling. Ruby had eaten that mare! Twin looked around, did she eat her staff… and then it dawned on him, dear Celestia, that mare who had tried to warn Twin of this… had she eaten her too!? She’d probably be little more than slush by now in Ruby’s belly, joining the sparkling coils as a line of fat. Twin gulped, licking his suddenly dry lips, conflicted why he still saw beauty in such a monster.
Twin looked around at his co-workers, how many had been eaten before during Ruby’s time here, did they know, did they even remember their friends passing away into coil chub? Obviously that first mare did… was this normal for them, did they just accept it or… Twin shook his head and stood up to leave, taking his plate of food with him so it, hopefully, didn’t look as suspicious for him to have grabbed some food and not touched it. Twin shut the door to his room and sat down, glancing up at the comfort promising bundle of coils settled before him, the indents from his own body clearly visible from where he’d rolled over in unknown, ignorant, delight at being wrapped up.
Twin sat upright against the door, picking at his food as time wore on, removing his uniform to free his wings, the light fading gradually as the summer sun retreated behind the horizon. Twin heard a surge of ponies walking outside his room, doors opening and closing repeatedly before, after about half an hour… silence… Twin sat up listening then tensed as another door shut and waited a full five minutes before creaking the door open a peek. The hallway was partially lit by the orange light of the sunset through the windows either side of the hallway. Twin quickly shut his door to as another pony walked to their room, shutting the door without concern for any of the other staff members. Twin poked his head, looking left and right, checking it was deserted before standing up and sneaking out, shutting the door as quietly as he could with a soft click. Twin made it to the ramp glancing up, towards where Ruby was no doubt getting comfy atop her meal, before looking down. From here Twin could literally see the door outside and had to resist sprinting for it as he crept down. Twin heard soft hooves on carpet and quickly took to the air, gliding down out of sight as Alex passed by, talking with Bolt about another load of ‘prey’.
Twin waited until the noise of the two stallions had faded then stepped up to the door. Twin’s secret service mission had taken so long the sun had fully set, the night sky taking the reigns over Equestria’s skyline. Twin glanced around, small patrols walked along the walls of the manor with lanterns and several lamias were seated in the courtyard, gambling. Twin kept close to the building, creeping along it’s edge until he reached the wall. A small gap between the manor and wall served to cast a deep, dark shadow over Twin, hiding him from the view of the watchers above. Twin gulped, looking up as several lanterns bobbed past, Twin opened his wings posing to take flight. The lantern moved out of Twin’s cone and he leapt upward, flapping his wings hard as Twin quickly gained altitude. Twin zipped past the wall, past the unaware guards and smiled, so long Ruby, have fun eating other pon-CRAP!
A sudden wail went up and Twin saw a ripple, like a bubble encompassing the whole manor from the walls. Around where Twin had left the bubble a bright, acid green colour pulsed angrily as it wailed and Twin looked down, seeing several ponies look up at him. Twin wasn’t planning to stay and turned, heading higher to escape the snakes reach. However, it wasn’t enough and one lamia grabbed the back of Twin’s leg, giving a powerful jerk, pulling him back into the range of his friends. Twin flailed, trying to get some more distance, even as several tails looped roughly over his chest, legs, neck and then his wings. Twin began to plummet back down as only one wing was left free, Twin struggling with all his worth but it was hopeless with just one lamia never mind several at once! Twin was forcefully dragged back into the bubble and more coils looped over him, covering his face as he cried out in fear, a coil slipping over his mouth silencing him.
Twin felt himself being slammed onto the manor wall, several tails slithering around him as they began to tighten all around Twin, the stallion groaning and whimpering, trying to break free and get some air. Twin felt his wings being stretched out either side of him, held down by one lamia as another ordered “Pluck him.” Twin screeched louder, thrashing left and right as his double wings were pulled out, hearing a soft swish as a blade was drawn from a sheath-
“What is going on up there!?” Twin almost felt relieved to hear Ruby’s voice. Almost.
“Mistress!” Twin felt himself being lifted up and held upright, his legs outstretched, presented to Ruby no doubt “We caught this one trying to escape from the manor, we were just going to pluck him before bringing him to you.” Twin whimpered, shaking his head desperately as he felt tears welling up in his eyes in fear.
“Uncoil him a little, before you strangle him, and let me see who it is!” Ruby ordered, her voice stern and powerful and Twin felt himself hold still, complying with her order… why was he doing that?
Twin gasped as the coils over his chest loosened, the face mask falling away, Twin still kept silent as he blinked, looking down at Ruby, hovering out over the wall as he stared down at the lamia… He could see the bulge in her tail…
“Twinwing?” Ruby said then shook her head, before waving her hoof anti-clockwise in a circle and Twin cried out in fear, had she just given the go ahead.
Instead, luckily, the lamias all loosened their grip and Twin slipped through, falling down out the bottom. Twin tried to open his wings to fly but Ruby quickly snatched him up “NO! NO PLEASE!” Twin cried before Ruby silenced him with another coil gag.
“Quiet,” Ruby said softly and Twin’s voice ceased functioning for several seconds and Twin shook his head on the verge of tears “Let us find out why you chose to flee before I punish you. Captain, I will see to this one,” Twin looked back seeing one lamia nod and wave his troops back into position.
Ruby carried Twin by her side, back into the manor, up the two ramps and into her room, where she tossed him on the bed, several coils looping over the door as Twin shuffled up against the headboard, trying to keep as far from Ruby as he could. Ruby climbed onto the bed settling down across from him “Why did you try to flee?” Ruby asked.
“I-I’m sorry I… I just…” Twin wanted to cry and plea, his voice hurt for some reason and wasn’t working right.
“Just tell me!” Ruby commanded more firmly and Twin pointed a shaky hoof to Ruby’s shifting tail bulge.
“I s-saw you e-eat her!” Twin said curling up like a foal cowering from a bully “They were going to take my wings!” Twin blubbered.
Ruby shook her head “Twinwing, did you not read the contract?” She asked with an exasperated sigh.
“How would that explain… this!” Twin shouted pointing, again, at the shuffling bulge, before Twin caught himself “I-I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to shout.” Twin said nervously.
Ruby held up a hoof to silence Twin’s apologies “It’s fine, I now understand. The problem is you failed to read through the contract thoroughly, that, and your knowledge of lamia culture is minimal.” Ruby said muttering in thought.
“Th-this is normal?” Twin asked shocked and slightly appalled anypony or anyone could consider this ‘normal’.
Ruby nodded “Perfectly normal,” She insisted with a nod “Let me show you,” Twin tensed up in fear but Ruby simple turned towards the door and called “Alex.” In a perfectly level voice. Within a minute there was a firm, almost excited, knock.
Ruby opened the door and Alex stood there, shivering once, whilst Twin blinked unable to understand how he’d heard Ruby “You called?” He asked.
“Yes, Alex, go collect Twinwing’s contract for me, as well as the ‘pony prey hunting law’ from the revised law book.” Ruby ordered and Alex bowed, glancing at Twin, when he noticed him, before sprinting away in an eager flash.
Twin awkwardly shuffled where he sat, unsure what to expect as he heard Alex sprinting up again, returning with the contract “Here you are Mistress!” Alex said bowing as he offered the two papers and Ruby took them in her magic, Alex leaving with a strange broad smile.
Ruby took out Twin’s contract first, flipping through the pages before reading out loud “The signer acknowledges and accepts that they may not leave the residence of their employer without their permission whilst in their employment, and that by breaking this rule they will be punished according to the employer’s verdict; this may include, but isn’t limited to; plucking or grafting (the act of removing Pegasus wings or Unicorn horns), retraining at a special facility, being used as ‘prey’ to feed their employer or imprisonment.” Twin gulped and Ruby offered it for him to read, sure enough on the middle of the second of the three pages, the one Twin had skipped over completely, was the whole list of punishments and several redirections to various new laws when required.
“Next, the prey law. Prey; ponies that are utilised as food for lamias, are typically made up of ponies who have committed crimes or broken contracts,” Ruby glanced at Twin as he paled, as much as a white stallion can anyway “Additional prey numbers can be made up of those who wish to experience what it is like to be prey, magical recreation is available if you volunteer willingly, as well as those who actively sell themselves as meals for lamias (snake snack restaurants), or those in debt. In all cases listed above, preventing said prey from having access to soul snip treatments is illegal, only those who are put into it as a punishment are refrained from a soul snip. The law doesn’t prevent ponies living with or are in a relationship with a lamia from being eaten by said lamia partner/roommate and it is their own responsibility to get a soul snip treatment beforehoof.” Ruby looked up from the contract with a smile.
“A soul snip?” Twin asked confused, how could a pony make a profession out of being eaten and digested? It was a one-way trip!
“Yes, it’s a magical spell made by the lamias back in my homeland, the Badlands, it takes a piece of your soul and part of your physical self, typically a lock of hair, and regrows you back in a specially made pot of, what’s simply known as; ‘vitaeque reddenda’ liquid. The mare you saw me eat had that treatment, her husband owed me some money and traded her instead.” Ruby said rubbing the bulge which moaned weakly and quietly “So… you tried to escape simply because you failed to read you contract?” Twin withered where he sat, cowering under Ruby’s gaze as he nodded, his voice failing him.
Ruby remained silent, absentmindedly stroking her bulge with a hoof before she sighed “I will let you off this one time, understand Twinwing?” Twin looked up, hardly able to believe it “But… you owe me, and I can have whatever I want from you, deal?” Ruby offered.
“W-wait, anything?” Twin asked nervously.
“I won’t harm you… unless you’d prefer I ate you right now? Because that is the alternative!” Twin shook his head furiously.
“N-no! No, it’s fine! Deal… any… anything you want… just don’t kill me.” Twin pleaded and Ruby cupped his chin with her tail.
“I have no intention of doing that Twinwing,” Ruby said soothingly “Now, I imagine you are rather hungry?” Twin shook his head politely. In response, Twin’s stomach growled loudly in protest, begging for Ruby’s help and Ruby chuckled “You can eat with me, if you have any questions feel free to ask. But please, don’t try to escape again.” Ruby said before calling for Bolt this time.
“Why do you keep ponies from leaving?” Twin asked immediately.
“Well…” Ruby paused, thinking on what to say “I do maintain order after all, and there are those out there who might steal my information in the hopes of harming innocent lives. If you had tried to take information to the wrong ponies… well, you’d end up like Fleur but without the get out of jail card.” Ruby said with a chuckle as Bolt appeared, looking rather sleepy, clearing he had just gone to bed during Twin’s escape attempt.
“You called,” He said with a yawn, rubbing his eyes.
“Yes, Bolt, would you mind fixing us something to eat… maybe a ‘mind soothe’ salad for Twinwing here, and something… ‘strong’ for him to drink. He’s had a little bit of a scare that he did to himself.” Ruby said glancing back at Twin as Bolt nodded “And I’ll have cake.” Ruby said with a little foalish clap of her hooves.
“As you wish.” Bolt said heading back downstairs.
Twin tried to get comfy, settling upon Ruby’s bed, glancing occasionally at Fleur’s bulge. This focus meant he failed to notice Ruby’s tail creeping up behind him until it had looped around his shoulders, pushing him forward. Ruby grinned, sliding Fleur towards Twin and pinning him underneath as the weight of Fleur and Ruby’s tail knocked Twin down, plus the sudden shove forward disorientated Twin’s balance so he was caught off guard. Ruby pushed down Fleur’s bulge against Twin so her facial features appeared slightly disorientated through Ruby’s red underbelly, her mouth open in delight with dips showing where her eyes were.
“Do you like how she looks, her figure only just visible through lines of soft, squishy and yet irresistible fat and muscle? She’s barely able to move you know, only wriggle slightly as my stomach pulverises her body, massaging her in stomach acids to melt her down. She doesn’t feel any pain, just a rising, tingling pleasure. Her mind melting in the gas formed by her body joining mine and the acid that’s working towards that goal.” Ruby pushed Fleur into Twin and her moan was much louder now he was so close. Fleur shuffled left and right, her hooves pressing into Ruby’s wall, her horn pushing a little bump out as she moaned more.
Ruby slipped a thicker coil underneath Twin, sandwiching him between two tubes of scales and the bulge “Doesn’t she look so happy, her mind unable to handle so much stimuli at oncccce.” Twin gasped then sighed, Ruby’s hissing voice making him focus more on what Fleur’s moans meant, how her body was being pressed in on all sides by thick scales and squishy stomach walls, her body melting away to join their seductive owner… how every second was causing mind shattering bliss to Fleur, unable to escape or resisssst.
Twin weakly reached up, trying to push Fleur off him, but Ruby looped Fleur around Twin, the mare crying out as she was made to bend around, her screams of delight rattling in Twin’s ears “It must feel so good, don’t you think?” Ruby asked resting her hooves on Fleur and leaning towards Twin.
“ When did she get so close… she’s getting closer… I… I should back up! ” But Twin didn’t listen to his own thoughts, instead he sat up, pushing against Fleur and Ruby lightly kissed him, tilting her head to play with his lips, a thick forked tongue flickering over Twin’s mouth.
Ruby briefly pulled back “Open your mouth Twinwing,” She purred and Twin complied, obeying the sweet voice as he was pushed back down as Ruby’s tongue delved inside. Ruby’s tongue wasn’t limited like a pony’s tongue and looped and spun around Twin’s own, squeezing and toying with it, controlling Twin effortlessly. Ruby leaned back, licking her lips with a smile as Twin panted “You lusssst for me.” Ruby breathed, Twin opened his eyes, surprised but as Ruby’s hissing caught in his brain Twin leaned back, the words fading in a swirl of serpentine hissing.
“Wha-what?” Twin mumbled, confused, what had he been thinking about?
“Mistress, your order!” Bolt called and Twin blinked, glancing to his side at Fleur’s head, which had faded back into the tail now Ruby wasn’t pushing her down against the edges of her tail, Twin wished she would it had looked so… sexy…
Twin rubbed his head, sexy? That? What was so attractive about being completely bound within a tight, squishy sack as your body slowly melted into a puddle of bliss, the walls compressing and massaging you as all you can do it moan weakly, the lamia who ate you unconcerned as you wriggle, trying to keep your body moving so you don’t melt away into those soft, sensual coils even as your mind is failing and all you want to do is fall still and slip away… what indeed?
Twin blinked as Ruby hovered a tall glass of some sort of purple liquid towards him “Here, drink up, it’ll help you relax.” Ruby insisted pressing the cool glass to Twin’s lips, the ice clinking merrily.
Twin recognised the scent, it was the dripleaf from the shampoo and Ruby’s lotion. A dull smile spread over Twin’s lips as the glass tilted upward, Twin unable to resist Ruby’s nonverbal command to drink, his mouth opening as he quickly gulped down the drink as fast as Ruby allowed. Twin sighed, eyes half closing, as the smooth, spicy, sweet drink broke, burnt, melted and rebuilt his nerves in a forge of bliss. Twin’s concerns of the contract and Fleur’s fate had numbed further, taking a backseat as this drink took over the front.
Ruby smiled as Twin leaned back into her coils, flexing and rubbing his back softly with the thick tubes of muscle and fat, watching the liquid disappear until it was all gone. Ruby set the glass down and Twin gulped, licking his lips as his head dipped forward slightly, gazing into the distance… which just happened to be filled with red and white.
“See something you like?” Ruby asked with sultry smile “Finding your mind wandering, sinking and fading into silence. Enjoying the sensation of my scales rubbing back and forth over your body, small and helplessssssss.” Twin gave a sharp little gasp as Ruby hissed, her voice was like static, zapping him causing Twin to sit up alert, then Ruby’s words dribbled into his brain and he began to take notice of the subtle heaves of Ruby’s tail, rubbing and caressing every part of his body. Twin shuffled, feeling the coils mould and tug at him, forcing his body back into the same position… small and helplessssssss…
Ruby nodded to herself, lifting up a small bowl that was filled with a mixed salad, some normal ingredients such as lettuce and sliced tomatoes made up the base, but it was covered in what looked like diced or even grated bits of purple leaf and a purplish sauce.
“Dripleaf is very… popular.” Twin commented with a dull blink as Ruby helped feed the stallion the meal.
“Indeed, it’s from my homeland. One of the few trees capable of growing where we lived. You should have seen our original home,” Ruby gave Twin a mouthful of leaves and sauce, Twin focusing on chewing and swallowing, too distracted by Ruby’s silky voice to complain she was feeding him like an infant, thoughts were just too difficult right now “It was set atop several trees, higher than Canterlot castle, forming a great canopy ceiling above us. Rope bridges connected house to house as lamias slithered across or between branches, grand colours and sparkling scales slithering between branches filled with purple, sunlight filtering and flickering through glowing over our bodies as ponies approached… a rising sense of calm and excitement at the mere sight of us.” Twin shut his eyes, letting his mind build up Ruby’s mental image.
Twin imagined a city, hanging by ropes, that seemed to shift slightly every so often so the whole floating metropolis had a small sway to it. Between each hanging house massive lamias slithered to and from buildings going about their daily business. Twin smiled as he watched the colours shift and mould together, like a dripping water painting. Twin opened his eyes and glanced down as Ruby squeezed him in the real world, before shutting his eyes and returning to his daydream. Twin’s mind conjured up a bundle of scales that looped under his rump before they lifted him up towards the waiting city of scales. The lamias all smiled in welcome to the latest guest as he was lifted up by Ruby’s disembodied tail and quickly advanced on Twin, looping and wrapping up. The mass amount of scales and the coils looping over him made Twin fall onto his back from the weight, the coils now easily looping over the helpless stallion, gasping for breath, feeling wheezy as his mind began to ring as if somepony had blown a whistle near his ear.
“Twinwing,” Twin blinked, opening his eyes and gulping down a bit of saliva and dripleaf that had been running down the side of his mouth. Twin felt Ruby’s coils move… or the coils of the lamias from his mind? Twin wasn’t sure and as reality began to settle back into Twin’s mind he flushed slightly at gawping off, causing Ruby to chuckle softly at his reaction.
“Sorry.” Twin said in a tiny voice.
Ruby laughed, levitating a spoon down to her own cake, breaking a sliver off the light triple chocolate cheesecake to eat “Why are you apologising? You were just thinking, delighting over your thoughts of coils and lamias, right?” Ruby asked with a soft sigh, her breath smelling of milk chocolate, a lovely sweet scent.
“Er… yeah… yeah course…” Twin said as Ruby rolled her tail underneath herself, swishing red over white like water lapping up the sides of a beach, Twin looking down before noticing how tightly bound he was by Ruby’s tail. Twin shuffled about, trying to sit up and get free “Ruby can you uncoil me a bit?” Twin asked.
“Ssshhhh, it’s fine, don’t think about it,” Ruby said giving Twin the last of his salad.
“Fine… don’t… think about it…” Twin mumbled with a nod.
“Just let your body settle in my grasp, let your mind sink into the soothing scales.” Ruby hummed as she set the plates on her bedside table, leaving them for Bolt later, or Twin in the morning perhaps.
“S…settle… soothing coils…” Twin said in a quiet voice.
Ruby reached down, closing Twin’s mouth with her hoof “I think it’s time you went to bed, don’t you?” Twin nodded, unsure what Ruby had even said just agreeing automatically. It was simply natural to do so “Excellent, I will think over what you can do to repay me later and then come get you. Understand?” A slightly more alert nod that time “Excellent, for now, simply continue your usual duties in the morning, in the afternoon I have someplace I wish to take you as you might find it comforting after your shock, not to mention I need to pick somepony up. You can just wear the collar for that.” Twin nodded in understanding, not questioning Ruby as he figured he would simply get an answer that wasn’t an answer if he did.
Ruby seemed a little upset he hadn’t asked though “ I had a response and everything. ” She thought before speaking aloud “Good, I’ll get you when I’m ready for you to pay off your ‘debt’. Now, off to bed… scaly dreams.” Ruby said lifting Twin up, spinning him around slowly with a subtle squeeze before uncoiling him, letting Twin, with shaky numb legs, take his own weight again.
“Th-thank you Ruby, for not being mad. Goodnight.” Twin said with a little bow of his head before leaving.
“No Twinwing,” Ruby said with a smile as Twin quietly made his way back downstairs “Thank you for trying to escape.”
Twin pushed open the door to his room, glancing around briefly before closing the door and stepping forward, flopping down atop the pile of squishy coil covers and rolling over. Twin sighed, staring up at the ceiling as he thought. Twin couldn’t get his mind to shift from Ruby eating Fleur and her ex-staff member, images of them sliding deeper into Ruby’s belly, wriggling and moaning, kept prodding through Twin’s mind preventing him from truly focusing on how frightening it was that Ruby’s failed staff member, unlike Fleur, wouldn’t return.
“ Assuming Ruby is telling the truth about Fleur’s fate. ” Twin thought to himself, a little doubtfully, as his eyes began to droop.
What could he make of this situation? On one hoof, this was clearly normal, due to the laws and the staff reactions. On the other, however, it was still beyond terrifying and Twin now had that looming over his head, instead of rent or bills. Being gobbled up and trapped in a tight tunnel of snake scales sliding deeper into a giant tube of muscle waiting to be digested, pressing his face against Ruby’s armoured body, his features only slightly recognisable through the walls of pulsating flesh, moaning as his body melted, his nerves singing in morbid delight as his body joined the soft comfy coils of his Mistress, unable to escape or resist their dominating, conquering control as their owner snuggled up to his wriggling bulge, rubbing him into submission as he began to melt like heated ice cream…
“Twinwing,” A voice hummed, dragging out the syllables, as Twin floated along, unaware of what was happening around him and uncaring… his back was rubbing against something smooth and sleek, rubbing him slightly in just the right way to keep him coaxed into submission and docility “Twinwing, open your eyes and look at your Mistress when she speaks to you.” The voice said again, playfully, as the same sleek appendage rubbing Twin’s back stroked his cheek.
Twin hummed, opening his eyes, glancing around before noticing Ruby hovering above him, her tail holding herself upright. Ruby’s mane was floating around her head ethereally, similar to how it had floated in her bath. Twin was laying upon a… world of coils? Looking left and right, Ruby’s tail stretched on endlessly, coils every which way you looked, some rising up to form ‘trees’ with hanging ‘vines’ all made of white and red coils, the sun glittering across them with an angelic glow. Twin sat up slowly and looked around as his ears flickered. A chorus of moaning echoed over the valley of scales as Twin turned to look seeing disproportionately large bulges slipping and sliding along the rising and falling mounds of coils. They wriggled and struggled slightly, their features pressing against the walls briefly before sinking away, in some areas the bulges were silent and Twin saw them shrink in insanely fast forward into smooth round orbs of liquid fuel for Ruby’s coils.
“Isn’t it beautiful… so peaceful.” Ruby said slithering down onto Twin, her tail resting upon him as she looped her pony body around his shoulders, wrapping her hooves around his neck, her breath playing over his ear.
Twin heard Ruby speak, but the words were garbled and muffled, yet a rising sense of calm and peace began to well in the back of Twin’s mind as he watched the ponies submit to their fate. Twin stood up, Ruby, surprisingly light, still sat on his back whispering to him as Twin began to follow the progress of one coil bulge. As Twin wandered beside it the coils became somewhat transparent. Twin could see the pulsating, undulating, fleshy walls of Ruby’s tail pushing the pony along. Bolt’s eyes were rolled up into his head, mouth wide open as he moaned ceaselessly, his legs and wings twitching as he struggled, sliding deeper.
Twin sat down beside Bolt, who suddenly just stopped moving as Twin rubbed the scales surrounding him, Bolt fading back into an indistinguishable bulge as Twin did so.
“Doesn’t it look so good, just right… why fight what is so natural?” Ruby asked and Twin nodded slightly as he was pulled up onto his hind legs “Why debunk something you’ve never tried?” Twin looked up, Ruby’s mouth still moving as she spoke and yet growing larger and larger… closer and closer…
Twin’s mouth hung open as his head was pushed downward as Ruby easily gulped him down. Twin figured the actual process would be much slower, Ruby wouldn’t just slip down to his hind hooves and gulp him down in one like a noodle… or would she…? Regardless, Twin felt himself suddenly fly upward into the air, Ruby slurping down his tail as Twin began to slide down into her belly. Twin’s legs were locked to his side, his wings rubbing over every slippery bump. Twin slid up and down, rocking as if at sea, pushing him into the squishy, relaxing walls. Juices dripped down onto Twin’s body and every part of his body sang with bliss. Twin kicked and thrashed his legs, managing to roll around onto his belly as he slid deeper down Ruby’s endless tail, spinning around and around, his body and mind going numb as his eyes twitched, mouth open as Twin panted for air… this was too good… heaven would lose its shine if it didn’t include something like this.
“Such a lively morsel, wriggle and squirm for me.” Ruby cooed, her voice clear and loud, Twin could even feel her breath on the side of his face “Feel yourself melt away into coil lining!” Twin moaned as his body seemed to lose solidity, slowly turning into something that resembled melted ice cream in summer heat.
Every bit of Twin that melted only heightened his pleasure, Twin struggled, finding that prolonged the process of him turning into paste, his colours mixing into Ruby’s stomach acid, as if he were dripping away into the clear pool of liquid… finally, Twin’s legs melted into liquid goop and he slipped under the liquid fully. For a moment concern about drowning flooded Twin’s mind but he soon found he could breathe through the slightly tar like liquid. Though this didn’t matter as, after a few minutes, Twin’s physical body had entirely melted away into nothing but coil fat, yet he was still, slightly, aware of what was happening. Twin floated, the last of his liquid body being absorbed into Ruby before all turned dark. Twin blinked and he was sat snug in a giant bundle of white and red coils, each one with the thickness of Twin stood on his hind legs, in front of him, Ruby was nestled against his torso, leaning into his chest with a seductive grin as she stroked his mane.
Twin flushed, smiling sheepishly as a coil looped around his neck, tightening and sliding back and forth as Ruby pressed against Twin’s warm body with her cold body, sapping away his heat to warm herself, a faint red flush lining the white face. Twin gasped, feeling short of breath, was he holding his breath in the waking world to get this reaction? Twin didn’t care, so long as he didn’t wake… this was blissssss- CLANG-CLANG-CLANG !!!
Twin groaned, trying to cling to the fading dream but the clanging of wood on metal persisted. Not only that, Twin heard his door open, enhancing the sound of the wood on metal before it closed with a loud snap and Twin opened his eyes with an irritated growl. Twin stood up, flinging the coils that had closed him into a small cave off his head, and galloped to the door, half opening the door before grabbing his uniform. As Twin left he saw the mare who was responsible for his unwanted awakening heading for one of the showers.
“Hay, you!” Twin called trotting up towards her, his irritation from losing such a delightful dream clouding any semblance of sense. The mare paused, looking back at Twin as he approached her.
“Yes, what’s the matter?” She asked in a soft and slow voice, every syllable nearly being sighed out by the mare.
“What’s the matter? The matter is you just woke me up!” Even as Twin said it his frustration couldn’t cloud over how stupid that sounded.
“Yes, it is my job, I do it every morning, I did it yesterday if you recall… why does it bother you, the contract specifically says to wake up at this hour.” The mare pointed out and Twin tapped his hoof.
“I… I was having a dream and you interrupted it.” Twin admitted flushing at the ridiculousness of his excuse for his short temper.
“Was it about the Mistress?” The mare asked turning to face Twin with attenuative eyes.
“Er… yeah it was.” Twin admitted.
“Oh,” The mare withered a little “I am very sorry, I know how pleasant those dreams can be. But I would suggest if you really want it to come true speak to the Mistress,” The mare sighed with a vacant stare “She is very caring, she tries her best to make time to keep us all happy. Even if we simply want to… look at her…” Her eyes half drooped and Twin glanced over as doors began to open.
“Yeah, I’ll… think about it, sorry…”
“Nedra,” Nedra said with the same expression and now a dull smile.
“Um… Twinwing… yeah anyway, I’m gonna have a shower then get to work… sorry again.” As Twin slipped into one of the bathrooms, Nedra, unfazed by Twin’s outburst, continued with her own routine, he promised himself something; he would never bring this dream up with Ruby. And the thought soon drifted from his mind as Twin began to wash himself…
Twin’s morning routine followed identically to that of the previous day’s; wash, dress, head to Ruby’s bathroom and prepare her bath. Only when Twin reached Ruby’s room did something of note slip out of place, and it wasn’t just the fact he had already collected his cleaning equipment to save himself some time. Twin peeked inside, checking he wasn’t disturbing Ruby’s sleep. Sure enough, the huge snake was stretched out on her bed, tail rising and falling in a slow, steady tempo as she breathed softly. Twin stepped inside, closing the door and floating up above Ruby’s tail. Twin glanced around, looking for a nice spot to lay down upon Ruby’s coils and allow her to wrap him up. However, Twin’s focus naturally brought his gaze up to Ruby’s sleeping form and he floated closer to the top of the bed. Ruby was resting atop a pile of her own coils acting as pillows on her back, squishing actual ones beneath them, her legs resting near her head in the perfect sleeping position. Twin gulped, hovering lower and moving further up the bed towards the sleeping mare.
“ I can just settle with her… tell her that her coils dragged me over to her, she won’t mind doesn’t matter how she gets my warmth so long as she gets it. ” Twin thought to himself, trying to justify what he had planned, what he wanted. However, as he got close Ruby’s head shuffled and a little and he was sure her eyelids moved.
“ I’m going to wake her! ” Twin thought, but this didn’t happen, Ruby didn’t so much as stir after that.
As gently as he could, Twin rested himself atop Ruby, his face nestled just under her chin as he landed on her cold pony torso. Twin smiled slightly as he rested his head sideway on Ruby’s body, glancing down as he heard a soft series of swishing, Ruby’s coils flowing along like water towards him. Twin watched as the coils drew over him like a massive blanket, pushing down all over him… they were perfectly uniform… almost… deliberate?
Twin glanced up at Ruby, keeping his head still and he noticed her eyelids shudder slightly, however he quickly looked back down, focusing on a random coil that was twisting and slithering back and forth, rubbing together for warmth from friction.
“ There’s no need to tell her… I can just let Ruby warm up, no need to disturb this moment. ” Twin thought with a sheepish smile as the coil began to twist around itself into a knot before undoing itself.
Twin’s eyes rolled in their sockets, fixated on the tumbling coils, Twin kept telling himself it was simply something to focus on to avoid Ruby noticing… it wasn’t drawing and holding his attention. Twin lifted his head up as the coil moved downward behind another pile of coils but felt Ruby wrap her legs around his head and push him back down, stroking his mane and, without thinking, mumbled;
“Sorry.” To her, biting his lip once he’d realised what he’d done.
Ruby shifted and Twin knew she was looking down at him “It’s fine,” Ruby hummed quietly “I don’t mind you indulging in your coil kink.” Ruby said with a smile.
“I-I don’t-” Twin tried to argue that he didn’t have a coil kink but couldn’t finish before a coil looped up over his mouth, rubbing his lips as they silenced his voice and Twin sighed, relaxing back into Ruby’s embrace, giving the coil over his face a little kiss before flushing deeply.
“Sure, you don’t, Twinwing.” Ruby chuckled as the coil blanket closed in further, squishing Twin against Ruby’s body as she rubbed her chin on his mane “Sure you don’t.” She said again, pushing her tail down, rubbing his back.
Twin moaned softly, feeling his back click into place causing his mouth to hang open as his body washed with relief. Ruby casually rubbed back and forth over Twin, there was no effort in it, no pinpoint focus… but it all felt so wonderfully delightful, Twin just didn’t want to break this little tranquil bubble. Ruby seemed to share the thought, though she also understood her day had to begin. So, with a deft little prod to Twin’s belly, Ruby tried to coax Twin up. Twin hummed, lifting up his body, but remaining atop Ruby’s tail and belly all the same.
Ruby smirked at Twin’s obvious indication to what he wanted. Normally, she’d teasingly refuse a pony who did this into admitting they like coils, but Ruby was in no mood to risk having Twin snap out of his hazy bliss, so she simply hooked her tail under him, taking Twin’s weight and lifted him up, spinning him around the blanket of coils until he was nice and bundled up. The bottom half of Twin’s leg stuck out as well as his head, which was still covered by a coil gag, Twin looked up at Ruby with a faint flush.
Twin let out a small series of muffled words into Ruby’s tail to which she responded with “Your welcome, Twinwing.” Causing the stallion to flush, his ears turning down to his head, but otherwise making no indication for Ruby to stop, or restrain herself.
Ruby stood up from her bed, stretching and flexing her tail, which just so happened to cause Twin to be squeeze tightly as Ruby worked the muscles awake with a little test of their constriction around him. Air whistled out of Twin’s nose and he moaned once, tilting his head back as his neck was choked, his hind legs dancing up and down happily and Ruby openly laughed, causing Twin to stop as Ruby held him above her head, slithering out of the room and down to the bathroom.
Once inside the steam filled bathroom, Ruby set Twin down, uncoiling him gracefully before slipping into the water, twirling around the floor and settling by the edge, not trying to tempt Twin into the water again this time. A little faster than the day before, Twin hurried over to Ruby and set to work, settling down beside her pony body to work on her mane, spilling a little extra of the strawberry shampoo into the bath in his haste. Ruby smiled as she leaned back into Twin’s hooves, which were shaking a little as had to steel his excitement for the lotion.
Ruby noticed and smiled “Twinwing, what oil have you selected?” She asked casually, facing away from Twin to avoid letting him see her devilish smile.
“Oh, just the same as yesterday. It works so well I didn’t see any reason to change it.” Twin said in a high voice, trying to be casual as well. He was failing though.
“Oh no, Twinwing, I can’t use the same they cost quite a lot,” True, but bits were of little concern for Ruby, especially since she had both financial shares in the lamia lotion trade and a different kind of ‘share’ that allowed her free bottles every so often “And I need a diverse line, maybe slither ease today, since we’re going out I don’t want my scales to get chipped from the roads.” As if lamia scales, with a density to rival ten inches of sloped steel, could ‘chip’ on rocks.
“O-oh, ugh… r-right you are… I suppose,” Twin bit his lip as he left Ruby to rinse her mane, Ruby having to cover her mouth to avoid inhaling water as she silently laughed at Twin’s reaction.
Twin whimpered as he returned the ensnaring fragrance to its place, looking around briefly, his eyes often darting back to the purple marked bottle, before locating the slither ease bottle, which had a lamia showing off her smooth scales with a smile. Twin returned to Ruby who smiled, offering a particularly large coil… Twin paused as he realised what it was and flushed, settling down. Fleur was, as expected, entirely liquid now, just a soup of nutrients for Ruby to fatten herself with. Twin sat down pulling the coil closer ‘forgetting’ to move his legs so it ended up spread over his lap, trapping him. The bugle was large enough that, when Twin leaned down to grab the bottle of lotion, he could smile out of Ruby’s line of sight at how nice the runny coil felt on his legs. Twin sat up, smile gone, as he set to work on the slightly stretched scales.
Ruby moaned slowly and Twin flushed at the slightly erotic sound “Aahhhh, that’s it Twinwing,” Twin felt a beat in his neck and then heard a heavy ‘fwomf’ sound from behind him as he wings opened out behind him against his will, shoving his uniform upward revealing the lower half of his body and legs “Huh, oh Twinwing… did you like that sound I made?” Ruby purred.
Twin stuttered out a few bits of gibberish before shaking his head to clear it “No… I mean ye-I mean… um, I just thought it would be more comfortable to have my wings open whilst I… lean against this coil?” Twin suggested as an excuse, unsure what he was even really saying in his embarrassment right now, but the words soon dribbled from his mouth to his brain “ O-oh Celestia, ” Twin thought as Ruby smiled.
“Really, what about yesterday? Aren’t you still scared?” Ruby asked.
“Oh, no… well, a bit but… I understand it’s normal here so… I don’t mind?” Twin didn’t really know the answer as to why he wasn’t scared anymore, he knew he ought to be, but the sense of fear had simply dissipated during the night and Twin had no intentions of sharing with Ruby what had happened during that time!
Ruby however smiled “ Worked nicely, ” The crafty snake thought “Alright, not going to argue with you about it, that’s for sure!” Ruby said as she shifted the thick coil around, using it sort of like the back of a chair from Twin to lean against, which he did, his stiff wings pressing into the coils causing Twin to gulp; that felt really good, and Ruby could tell that was what he was thinking. As Ruby looked at Twin’s face, his mouth biting his lip, eyes wide with rapid breathing, his expression caused Ruby’s mind to start formulating an idea for Twin’s ‘favour’ that night.
Twin closed his eyes briefly, bringing his mind back into focus as he continued working on Ruby’s tail, coils slipping and slithering by underneath his hooves, pushing and rubbing against the frogs of his hooves, all the while Ruby’s large coil heaved up and down, rubbing his wings suggestively. Finally, Ruby seemed satisfied with Twin’s work, that or the water was going cold, and stood up to get out, Twin hopping up before realising his wings were still stretched out. He quickly grabbed a coil to drape it over them, acting as if he were keeping it off the floor for her. Ruby smiled as she slithered past, Twin drying Ruby off quickly.
“I will let you get to work on my room, Twinwing. When you have finished I will collect you from the staffroom at one, don’t eat, we can have something whilst we’re out.” Twin nodded in understanding and sighed as Ruby left the room, before turning to his still outstretched wings.
“Stupid… WINGS!” Twin grumbled as he tried to force his wings back down to his side. Outside the bathroom, Ruby giggled to herself whilst listening. Twin would be having more ‘problems’ with his wings tonight. Though, perhaps he wouldn’t care when Ruby started to ‘help’ him with said problem.
Still flustered, Twin poked his head out the doorway, the sound of water draining away filling the hallway. Twin shut the door with a hard thud, sprinting down the hallway, with his uniform still held up by his wings. Twin heard a shuffle downstairs and galloped desperately up, just in time to avoid Nedra noticing him, the butler pausing, blinking slowly as her mind gradually told her what she’d just seen.
Twin grabbed his equipment beside Ruby’s door and shut it quickly, leaning against it before collapsing on the ground with a sigh. Twin glanced at his wings, flushing deeply “Stupid… sexy lamia.” Twin grumbled, standing up and doing his best to ignore his outstretched wings whilst he worked.
The process of cleaning, at first, was slow due to Twin being slightly unbalanced as he tried to walk with his wings open for gliding. Eventually his wings finally returned to reality and Twin folded them down, his uniform sliding back down and Twin was able to work faster, easily finishing before Ruby’s specified time. With the room once again clean, the bed straightened, pillows fluffed up and the fireplace set for another fire, Twin headed out and down to his room, changing out of his uniform. Twin paused, looking at the little white collar with the purple snake eye gem.
“ Twinwing, ” Twin stood up, glancing around, gulping, before settling once he was sure he hadn’t heard the real Ruby speaking. Twin clipped the collar on and headed out into the hallway.
Twin was about to enter the staff room when he paused, one hoof on the handle as he glanced around then made his way downstairs, having changed his mind. At the entrance to the manor Twin turned to his right and made his way to the normally dimly lit living room, a small smile tugging at his lips as he got closer to her. As Twin opened the door, he was surprised to find the curtains pulled open wide, sunlight heating the room like a greenhouse, heavy fermented smoke from several sticks sat above the unlit fireplace, as if it needed to be lit in here. Ruby was sat with her tail stretched out in front of her, a fold-out table sat with its legs nestled between her coils stacked with a small selection of variously sized papers. One hoof on her cheek, Ruby was lazily twirling a pen in her magic as she read from a small stack of notes, letters, folders and made frequent references to a map at the bottom that seemed to stretch beyond Equestria’s border, on the map were little pins adorned with either a lamia or a pony holding a star in their right hoof with broken chains on the ground around them. Occasionally, Ruby would shift her tail and groan.
“Scales above, I miss Crescent,” Ruby grumbled to herself as her tail gave a little uncomfortable click that made Twin wince in sympathy for Ruby.
Twin cleared his throat “Um, Ruby?” Ruby flicked her head back looking at Twin.
“Oh, it’s not one o’clock yet Twinwing, you’re early,” Ruby said as she casually set her pen down, moving a few papers around, covering up some pictures with them “Why are you here?”
“I er… I just thought you might want some help or… something,” Twin glanced down at Ruby’s shifting tail before gulping “I finished your room and I didn’t think there was time to do much else…” Twin awkwardly glanced around as Ruby smiled at him “So, who was Crescent?” He asked trying to start up some sort of conversation.
“My masseuse, up until a recent dinner I held with other lamias she was in my loyal employment then she got a little… ‘wrapped up’ with another potential employer and I was unable to stop her departure. I have been a little more tense than usual since then.” Ruby said arcing her spine back and stretching then she smiled “Don’t suppose you want to rub down my entire tail, do you?” Ruby asked, lifting up several bundles, scrunching them together so the palpable muscle and fat moulded and melted together.
“Sure! I mean… if it’ll make you comfortable. But I have to admit I’ve never massaged a lamia before.” Twin said as he stepped forward, approaching Ruby’s tail eagerly.
“Well, I’ll talk you through how I like it,” Ruby settled her coils back down on the ground, slipping her tail around Twin “First find someplace comfortable where you can reach my tail,” Twin nodded and moved forward. Twin glanced down at the coils spread out before him, some rising up to the top of his legs. Twin smiled sheepishly and climbed on top of one as it rose up and down with Ruby’s breathing, resting his face on it with a soft laugh before realising what he was doing.
“O-oh, I’m sorry, Ruby.” Twin said standing up and slipping down the other side, settling on the floor between a wall of coils reaching his torso.
“I didn’t mind,” Ruby said with a laugh “Either way, approach the coil you want to start with and wrap your legs around it as if hugging it, place the frogs of your hooves on the line where my upper scales reach my belly scales…” Ruby waited as Twin performed this action, standing with his legs either side of the selected coil “Now press in about half an inch… a bit more… okay,” Ruby sighed, smiling “Rub in small slow circles and work up to the top, roll back a little in circles, left clockwise and right anticlockwise, about a couple inches or so each time then work your way back down and repeat until you reach the end of my tail… Feel free to wrap yourself up in the coils you’ve pampered.” Ruby hummed.
Twin nodded, Ruby watching over him as he began following the instructions. Twin could feel the liquid like fat under Ruby’s armour, the smooth scales trying to slip and push out from under his grasp as he began to work in circles. It became easy to feel how to rub over Ruby’s tail, the scales seemed to shift and curl under him perfectly, sliding down was easy enough but sliding back up was a little tricky, Twin flicked a few scales back on his earlier attempts, Ruby both visibly annoyed and in a bit of pain, but Twin soon learned to hold his grip down more firmly when working the small circles down Ruby’s tail towards her tail tip, simply moving a patch of scales under the frogs of his hooves instead of rubbing each individual scale and not trying to slide along Ruby’s tail or against it when going up, lifting his hooves up entirely if a flick of scales was looming. It, admittedly, wasn’t amazing, but it still felt nice for Ruby and was a notable good first attempt. Twin’s progress was snail slow however but Ruby didn’t complain, instead returning to her work as Twin reached the first turn in Ruby’s tail.
Glancing up at Ruby, now returning to his work, Twin looked up back towards where he had started. He hadn’t done much, about one and half the height of himself transferred into snake coils, but this didn’t stop Twin hopping off Ruby’s tail briefly and grabbing the start point. Twin stood on his hind legs, flapping his wings to balance himself as he lifted Ruby’s tail over his shoulder, dragging the lower half around his waist like a belt. Twin smiled, as did Ruby as she twirled the coil beside Twin’s cheek around his neck and directed him back to her tail, letting him flop on top of the coil, Twin now working from a prone position atop Ruby’s tail. As he worked, Ruby now had to slide her tail along underneath Twin’s belly as he seemed reluctant to move from the comfortable spot, as penance, Ruby began to pile her massaged tail atop Twin’s body, covering him up into a cave, only his front hooves free, not even his face was soon spared as a coil leapt over his eyes and pulled his nose upward, Twin panting as his collar was pushed in by its thicker, scalier counterpart. Ruby glanced back at Twin as he panted, his tongue hanging out as he drooled a little as she squeezed him.
“ Coil addict. ” Ruby hummed in her head with a wide grin and then tilted her head, a slick grin stretching over her mouth.
Ruby let her tail tip slither and pat against Twin’s cheek, climbing down the side of his cheek to his chin before hooking under his mouth and pushing it up a little. The very end of Ruby’s tail tip then wedged itself between Twin’s lips and he flushed, giving it a little peck, pushing his head forward with what slack the coils permitted before pressing into his windpipe. Ruby grinned triumphantly before slipping the tail tip inside Twin’s mouth, letting him kiss it more intimately, suckling softly as if it were also a lolly, the scent of Ruby’s morning shampoo washing over Twin’s nose as he panted through his now limited airway.
“Mmmm, don’t stop massaging me Twinwing,” Ruby ordered, nudging underneath him with her tail.
Twin nodded with a muffled moan, drawing the tail tip a little deeper as he kept working, the coil over his eyes rubbing up and down, massaging his eyes shut as Twin began to imagine how he must look, surrounded and entombed by a mass of muscular, comfortable white and red scales. Ruby casually reading, uncaring of Twin’s love of her embrace, her smooth, sensual scales rubbing and rolling over his body…
Twin squeaked and quickly leapt up, the sudden movement catching Ruby off guard as Twin managed to slip off the coil he had been lying on. Ruby glanced back, confused then smiled “Something wrong?” She asked casually, Twin’s face so brightly lit he could be a flare.
“Er, I just noticed it was nearly one?” Twin nodded to a little clock sat beside Ruby. Mercifully, it did indeed read just a few minutes before one.
“Indeed, it is,” Ruby noted looking back at Twin who was awkwardly hiding behind Ruby’s coils, still massaging them to derive any suspicion “Well, come along then Twinwing, I know your nerves want settling after your fright yesterday.” Ruby said standing up, quickly packing and folding the map and its contents into a small lockbox, before making her way to the door “Come along, Twinwing.” Ruby ordered and Twin nodded, grabbing a few coils and draping them over himself like a cloak “What are you doing?”
“Oh, I… I just thought you might need warming whilst we’re out.” He said smiling.
“It’s summer, Twinwing, don’t worry about it,” Ruby said with a knowing smile “You don’t have to go out with my coils wrapped around you.”
Twin awkwardly shifted “Can’t I keep them?” He asked quietly.
“Tell me why, aren’t you afraid I might gobble you up?” Twin shook his head and Ruby raised an eyebrow.
“No, but…” Twin flushed “I just like how they feel.” He admitted and Ruby squeezed his neck tightly, making Twin gulp.
Ruby stared at Twin’s neck, it wasn’t a lie, but she knew it wasn’t the truth. Surprisingly smart, or Twin was simply slipping down into the snake pit “Alright then, by all means add a few more then. But I still reserve the right to squeeze you spontaneously and without warning.” Ruby said laughing at Twin’s nervous expression.
Ruby opened the door out of the living room and glanced around “Bolt, come here, we’re leaving now.” Twin looked up, shuffling along as fast as he could, it was awkward for him between the coils and… yeah, the coils…
Bolt soon joined the pair, smiling up at Ruby as she gently patted his mane with her tail like an affectionate dog. Bolt then glanced at Twin and waved happily and Twin waved back, a corkscrew of coils trailing down his leg merging with his own fur. Ruby offered Bolt a hanging coil and he slipped his head into it, further instilling the image of a dog in Twin’s mind as Ruby tugged him along… closely followed by Twin.
“ Guess I’m not really in a position to judge Bolt. ” Twin thought with a sheepish smile.
Wasn’t too bad all things considered, but Twin couldn’t deny he had thought it would be just Ruby and him and the fact Bolt was tagging along made him feel a little less… desired…
Regardless of Twin’s mood, Ruby paraded the two stallions out in her courtyard and led them up to the gate, which grinded back up into its slot allowing the trio to leave without getting dragged back inside by a torrent of coils. Ruby gave Twin a jerk to speed him up, Bolt easily keeping up beside Ruby whilst Twin had to struggle on. The walk into town was somewhat awkward but Twin was soon able to walk with less hassle once he’d… ‘calmed down’ allowing him to speed up and fall in line with Bolt on the opposite side of Ruby’s swishing tail. Both stallions were focused on watching it twist and twirl left and right, gliding over the road. However, Twin noticed a flicker of light in the corner of his eyes, following by several more and his gaze naturally turned to look.
Ruby heard Twin’s quiet gasp and looked over, feeling a little peeved she had lost Twin’s attention. Twin was currently focusing on a pair of lamias dancing around an enchanted fire in the middle of the square, four buckets filled with bits sat before them filling higher as the pair danced, twisting their coils over one another, crossing their hooves in the air and twirling their pony bodies within the centre of the coil tornado like belly dancers. They both had purple coloured silken dresses and the fake flames leapt and jumped from their magic nudging it, dancing along the length of their tails. The crowd were drinking in every shift of every individual scale. A few needed to leave for work or jobs but… to leave during a dance seemed unforgiveable to them…
Ruby looked at Twin as he turned his body to look fully at the dancers before he was jerked forward towards them, Ruby slithering ahead a little faster as Twin and Bolt rushed to follow. Ruby reached the dancers who paused to speak with Ruby, when Twin and Bolt reached them the pair smiled and nodded, moving aside as Ruby slid up between them, dragging her tail up with her leaving the two stallions bare again.
Twin gasped as Ruby held her hooves together above her head and began to spin, the other two lamias spinning their tail around Ruby in a corkscrew fashion, partially hiding Ruby as if she were in a jail of coils. The fire dimmed low then blazed as Ruby flicked her own tail upward, throwing the mixture of coloured coils up into the bright midday sky, the light showering the crowd who clapped eagerly as Ruby matched the pair in grace and speed. At one-point, Ruby began to sway, crossing her hooves over her head in an X shape and wriggling her waist left and right, the two original dancers pausing as their tail tips lifted up, hovering behind Ruby. The light from the fire danced down their coils as they curled them around into hooks then spirals, curling and uncurling them behind Ruby’s back as she swayed, her tail causing the fire to dance from one spiral filled tail to the other. As Ruby danced with the exotic background provided by her sister lamias, Twin began to notice himself swaying in beat with Ruby, glancing around everypony was, eyes slightly dulled as they mimicked Ruby… left… right… left… right…
One member of the crowd leaned forward then stumbled, stepping quickly forward to avoid falling on their face and ending up standing on the coils of the lamia on Ruby’s left. The dancer glanced down and smiled quickly snatching them up around the waist and pulling them up with the trio. The lamia effortless looped her coils over the (un)fortunate pony and began to make them dance, an ethereal glow lighting up their body as they smiled, dancing as if they had trained their whole life, eyes closed as a silent beat overtook them, the lamia guiding them, making the pony dance and Twin thought briefly of a snake and charmer but with the roles reversed.
Finally, Ruby spun one final time, holding her hooves out either side in a curtsey and the crowd cheered and applauded her as she hoped down from the stage, slipping her tail back around Bolt’s neck and all over Twin’s body as she quickly tugged them along before the lamias, and their newest dance partner, could start up again.
“Twinwing,” There was a little venom in Ruby’s voice as Twin turned away from watching the dancers again “Look where you are going.” Ruby cooed as she swayed her tail tip like the dancers had during the display in front of him.
“I’m looking.” Twin said focusing on Ruby’s tail once more.
“Good, wouldn’t want us to walk past here.” Ruby said and Twin blinked, looking up at the building in front of them.
It was a rather bizarre place, it had the outward appearance of a moderately sized convenience store, with the automatic doors and everything, but the board sign didn’t have any name Twin recognised; ‘Lamia Forest’ the background around the words featured a darkened canopy with rays of sunlight and the letters were in the traditional lamia purple eye colour. Ruby slid up to the door and Twin noticed a little advertisement sign on the door as it slid aside ‘Soul snip treatments available ask-’ and then Twin was inside the shop, unable to read the rest of the ad.
When Twin looked back in at the shop interior his image of a convenience store, at least a conventional one, disappeared. The building was set up with a small number of open top metal cages, the fences only knee high but within each individual pen a pony sat beaming up at the latest customers. Multicoloured collars adored their necks and little signs on the front had names, species, age and gender but lower down they also had willing or punishment with a mixture of both scribbled on the listing, as well as pricing and ‘re-eatable’ listing with either yes or no. The ‘pen’ was rather comically as Twin could easily have climbed over it, but most seemed to simply stand on it or behind it as if it did indeed trap them within.
Bolt shuffled forward first and began to inspect them with the same kind of expression one might use when checking for the freshest unlabelled piece of fruit or vegetable. Ruby tugged Twin past before he could look inside further and finally stopped at a purple door with a black and white swirl painted on it. Again, Ruby unlocked it, but only with a keypad this time and the door unlocked.
The room was very similar to that of a mental recovery ward, with squishy, padded white walls. In the middle was the only piece of furniture in the room, a simple purple coloured armchair, with gel pads to sink into. It looked very comfortable, although Twin suspected it would have nothing on Ruby’s coils.
“Take a seat.” Ruby ordered and Twin complied leaning back into the chair, it sank around him and he thought vaguely of Ruby’s coils again, which had begun to loop around the chair. Before Twin could react, even if his brain were clear, Ruby had looped four coils deftly around Twin’s legs, pinning them to the armrests and legs preventing escape “There we go, wouldn’t want you struggling… too much.” Ruby said smiling as Twin flushed.
“What are you going to do?” Twin asked, sounding more eager than frightened.
Ruby smirked “I’m going to rewrite your precious little mind to be my obedient slave forever, you won’t be able to leave my service… ever. You’ll enjoy it.” Ruby let her eyes flash with hypnotic rings and Twin slumped.
“I’ll enjoy it…” He droned peacefully.
“Excellent, you seem to be pretty deep in my influence, so we can begin,” Ruby slithered around Twin’s chair, standing directly behind him so he had to turn his head to keep looking at her “Eyes forward for me.” Twin mumbled in protest but obeyed and Ruby looped a coil up around Twin’s throat “Here’s what we’re going to do, every time you do as I command, like a good slave, you get a reward… every time you protest, like just now, you get… punished !” Ruby grinned as she tightened the coil, holding firm as Twin gasped, wheezing around the harsh leash. Ruby hummed as Twin only managed whistles of air around the throat gag, his face taking a light hint of blue before Ruby relaxed her grip “Next time won’t be so gentle… but I know that was harsh, so I’ll show you the reward.” Twin gasped, wheezing and coughing as Ruby pushed the coil up against Twin’s chin, turning his gaze upright.
Twin gasped as Ruby’s eyes were already in the process of pulsating with hypnotically coloured rings, white, red, blue… Twin’s eyes flicked back and forth trying to take in every colour as Ruby rubbed Twin’s new ‘leash’ back and forth over his sore throat, making him gulp. However, as quickly as it began Ruby stopped.
“No wait, please I want more!” Twin begged but the leash tightened, not much, just enough to remind Twin what it was for but it didn’t impact his breathing at all.
“Obey and you get more, every time you obey in succession I’ll let it go on for longer, it’s a reward, you must earn it, understand?” Twin nodded “Good, now look forward.” Twin hesitated, before turning his head down “You didn’t complain,” Twin smiled turning his head up “But you didn’t do it immediately, and you think you can choose when to get your reward… Head… Down!” Twin gulped, obeying much faster, but not enough to avoid Ruby’s wrath.
Ruby deftly lifted Twin up by his throat, looping her tail down and around his upper chest and squeezing his lungs before closing his throat again “Now, say with me; ‘I must not think, when I think thoughts are difficult and exhausting, they make me weak and tired, when I’m weak I need my goddess, when I need my goddess I must obey her, my goddess takes my thoughts away, her control makes me happy when I obey, I am only happy when I obey, when I am happy I can think again.’” Twin wheezed, having a little trouble starting his own repetition after Ruby had finished telling him his mantra due to the strangling coil.
“I must… not think… when I think thoughts are… difficult… and exhausting, they… make me weak and tired, when I’m weak I need my goddess… when I need my goddess I must obey her, my goddess takes… takes my thoughts away, her control makes me happy when I obey, I am only happy when I obey, when I am happy I can think again.” As Twin repeated his new mantra, Ruby began to steadily loosen her grip allowing Twin to speak more easily, when he started the second loop he wasn’t wheezing between every few words anymore and on the third repetition Ruby had begun to rub his throat back and forth with her tail again, soothing the pain of her forceful constriction.
Ruby silently began to tug Twin’s head up, his gaze flicking up to hers as he faltered in his speech, Ruby’s rainbow-like eyes stealing his breath “Keep going,” Ruby whispered and Twin kept talking as best he could, doing all he could to prevent Ruby from ceasing the wonderful display.
“…I need my goddess, when I need my goddess I must obey her,” Yes… obey her and get to see the pretty colourful rings “My goddess takes my thoughts away,” That’s what Twin wanted, what he desired and craved… thoughtlessness, and obeying brought him to thoughtlessness… he couldn’t disobey, the rings and the loops wouldn’t allow it! He wouldn’t allow it!
Ruby smiled, slowly rocking her head back and forth, left and right, steadily, like a metronome, and Twin’s head rocked back and forth in tune, only a moment’s delay between the two. Twin was still whispering his mantra, but other than keeping up with his new law of life, his mind was blank, silent and still. Ruby lifted a coil up to Twin’s mouth and silenced his quiet prayers, his body then turning immediately rigid as his brain lost the one thing he was focusing on. Twin’s eyes snapped wide open and a goofy grin spread over his mouth behind the coil pressing into his lips.
Ruby held Twin’s gaze upright, time to start “Twinwing,” The stallion shivered but made no other indication he had heard her, not that he could ignore Ruby at this point “You are a good pet, a good slave, aren’t you?” Twin did his best to nod and Ruby chuckled “Good boy, and a good slave obeys… now, you love my coils don’t you?” More nodding “Good, they feel so good, so soft, squishy, comfortable and commanding. You love to be smothered in them, it is a natural craving of course, but you will need them even more whenever I say to you you’re uncomfortable you will beg and plead and do anything without hesitation to be granted my coils… but you cannot take them for it would be rude to do so and won’t relieve you desires.” Twin merely stared up into Ruby’s swirling eyes, if she had never done this before she might have been worried it wasn’t having any effect on him, but Ruby knew the words were slithering and twisting down and into Twin’s spongey mind, like water “You also love this, the feeling of my control enveloping your mind, but sometimes there isn’t time for me to hypnotise you, so whenever I say to you Twinwing, you will submit no matter where we are, what you are thinking or doing, the rings will overwhelm your mind and return you to my control.” Ruby paused, thinking, then she grinned “Another trigger for you, whenever I say Slave I command you to you will be compelled to obey, whatever the order regardless of your thoughts on what I demand of you it must be done… and you will earn a wonderful mind tingling reward when it is completed to instil in you a desire to do it again… and again… and again…”
Ruby waited, allowing the triggers to sink and latch onto Twin’s mind deeply and tightly, unless another, highly skilled, lamia or unicorn got to Twin soon they would never leave his subconscious… and since Ruby was the only one capable of doing so presently Twin’s fate was sealed!
“Now, Twinwing, I want you to begin waking up, fully waking up. You won’t remember my triggers, the hypnosis will wash away from your mind, like water over your hoof, freeing your thoughts to be your own. You will be fully in control, unless I use one of your triggers, but you will remember every tiny detail from within my spell… but when you slip back into my control you will go deeper… a hundred times deeper than all the times you’ve slipped before combined and the conditioning effects of your previous slips under my spell will return… you will be my slave for life.” Ruby hissed as her eyes began to slow then stop.
Twin blinked, one eyelid able to close fully whilst the other kept getting stuck half open as his pulsing eyes slowed. Twin felt as if a cold bucket of water had been tossed over his mind. Cold, cruel and unwelcome lucidity and clarity returned to him as Ruby swiftly uncoiled the stallion slithering back a little to watch it all unfold. In Twin’s mind the experiences and manipulation Ruby had used upon him were lifted up, stacked and neatly organised then shoved into a box, blotting them out from his mind, leaving only his triggers unpacked as lucidity fully returned. Twin looked around before locating Ruby, everything she had done, all she had made him do flooded back into his mind and Twin rocketed up from the chair, both fearful and embarrassed.
“R-Ruby… I er…” Twin gulped then sprinted for the door, trying to open it.
“Slave,” Twin felt a little bit of static trickle up his neck at the word “I command you to come back down here and stand in front of me.” Twin found himself doing a one-eighty and heading straight over to Ruby, his hooves rooted to the floor just a pace in front of the imposing lamia.
“W-what… I can’t… I can’t move, what’s happening?” Twin asked nervously as his body quivered, the only indication that he was telling every limb in his body to thrash wildly.
“You are obeying,” Twin looked confused as Ruby began to slither around the immobile stallion “How funny, you cannot resist my control, even lucid, your mind wants my control so badly it is overriding you even when you are conscious and ‘in control’. Hehe, so, slave, you want to be my slave forever?” Ruby asked leaning over Twin’s shoulder to look him in his shocked and frightened eye.
“I want to be your slave forever.” Twin heard the words but couldn’t believe he had spoken them. However, senses a ripe opportunity, the box filled with Twin’s memories opened a little and his mind flooded with the flashes of his time under Ruby’s influence, the taste of dripleaf and the sensations of the fun they’d had “I want to be your slave forever…” Twin whispered again, flushing as his ears folded down, staring sideways at Ruby, nervously maintaining eye contact to make it easier for Ruby.
Twin wouldn’t know, but this confession Ruby had managed to get out of him would seal his fate and tie him forever to Ruby’s control. For Twin’s will had not been taken, but instead given up willingly, or so he thought. This meant that Twin would walk into the serpent’s den happily and the fact he had done so would ensure he would never look back, never resist unless commanded… he was doomed to obey Ruby forever, his final chance to escape, or at least save his mind, had just past him by without him realising and Ruby wasted no time slithering in front of the stallion and lighting her eyes up.
A few, swift seconds, drifted by before Twin returned to Ruby’s control, all of her suggestions, tweaks and teasing over the past few days flooded back into his mind in force and his will shattered beyond repair. Even for a skilled lamia, Twin’s mind was beyond repair, but he didn’t care… he had everything he wanted… he had his goddess.
Ruby smiled, tilting Twin’s unresisting chin up a little to inspect her prize, Twin smiled thoughtlessly at nothing in particular, his mind a barren, empty desert without even a single thought swirling through. Not even one made to obey Ruby or marvel at her perfection made from the hypnosis itself.
“Twinwing, wake from your trance,” Ruby commanded and Twin blinked before awakening, however he was met with Ruby’s pulsating eyes and before he could say anything he slipped right back into trance “Twinwing, wake from your trance,” Again, Twin awoke, locked eyes with Ruby and fell back down into obedience.
Each time Ruby did this the time between Twin awakening and submitting shortened. Finally, after Ruby had done this roughly thirty or so times, she, once more, said “Twinwing, wake from your trance,” Any yet, little changed, Twin’s eyes and smile somewhat relaxed, when his eyes returned to their natural colour they seemed glazed, as if he had minor cataract and yet he could see perfectly, perhaps even better than before. Ruby waved her hoof in front of Twin’s face and it was half a minute before he registered the movement.
Ruby grinned, Twin’s mind could barely distinguish between lucidity and trance. The gap would grow, once he was given some time to adjust, but for now, his mind was thoughtless, the world was heaven and Ruby was its creator.
Epilogue
The mid-afternoon sun was sat snugly between a pair of poofy white clouds, beating down a heavy summer heat below. The city of Canterlot was alive, loud chattering and day to day life hummed from within, the city’s beating heart. Ponies went to work, shopped or enjoyed their immense wealth whilst lamias snatched them up with delighted squeals, laughs and jealous glares from their friends at how lucky they that they were going to be enslaved. Down a few twisting streets a high walled manor stood, the guards on patrol, but the gate was wide open today. The door to the manor itself had a singular stallion stood waiting. His gaze was turned straight forward and he seemed completely invested in the distant road ahead of him, a wide grin on his face as his mind tingled.
Just then the stallion spotted a small group of ponies, maybe seven or eight, heading for the manor. The stallion quivered a little before returning to his statue like stance as the group entered the manor grounds, heading for him.
The stallion stepped forward as the gate closed, speaking once silence had fallen “Good afternoon everypony, I’m Twinwing and I’ll be taking you to the goddess for your interviews today, let’s not keep her waiting.” Twin said quickly fluttering behind the group and ushering them in.
“ Twinwing, come in with the group I’m sure you can enjoy their ‘trail’ as well .” Twin perked up at the sound of his goddess’ voice and smiled, trying to hurry the group along as his mind began to think of Ruby… but that set off his mantra and, like a good slave, he began to recite it quietly to himself as he followed his command.
“I must not think, when I think thoughts are difficult and exhausting, they make me weak and tired, when I’m weak I need my goddess, when I need my goddess I must obey her, my goddess takes my thoughts away, her control makes me happy when I obey, I am only happy when I obey.”
