Rotten To The Core
Once upon a time, long long time ago, well, more like twenty years ago, Celestia married her Draconequus in front of thousands of personal friends, big cakes & stuff. So instead of honeymoon, Draconequus united all the Kingdoms he could & got himself elected the King of the United Nation of Equestria. He rounded up all the villains & sidekicks, some of the very threatful ones & booted them off to the Isle of the Wicked & created a magical barrier to keep them there. This is my place; no magic, no wifi, no way out. Or so I had thought. But hang on, you’re about to meet me & my gang. But first this happened.
A young man, almost 16, was looking out a window towards the Isle of the Wicked while a tailor was taking measurements of his body. He was still looking out the window, daydreaming maybe, when the tailor said “Head.” indicating that he should keep his head straight. He then took the measurement of the size of his head.
“How is it possible that you are going to be crowned as King next month? You are still a baby!” said the King of the United Nation of Equestria, approaching the room with his wife & Queen, Celestia.
“He is turning sixteen, dear.” Queen Celestia said with a giggle.
“Hey Pops!” The Prince greeted his father.
“Sixteen? That’s far too young to be crowned King! I didn’t make a good decision until I met your mother!” King Discord said which was received by a groan from his wife.
“The only decision you made after meeting me was to marry me…” Queen Celestia said reminding him.
“Well, not unless I had a good decision to prank you a bit!” King Discord said with a wink which Queen Celestia responded with a stare. “Kidding!” King Discord said at last to which the Prince gave a hearty laugh.
“Mom, Dad” The Prince started as he made his way towards them but was stopped by the tailor who was measuring the size of his foot. So, he came back to his original position & said “I have chosen my first official proclamation.” Hearing this, the King & Queen exchanged a smile.
“I have decided that the children on the Isle of the Wicked be given a chance… to live here in Equestria.” Hearing this, Queen Celestia let out a gasp & the clothes in her hand fell down.
“The children of our sworn enemies, living among us?” The King asked, just to be sure if his son meant otherwise.
“I sought out with a few at first : the ones that need our help the most. I’ve already chosen.” The Prince says with a smile.
“Have you, now?” The King said as he moved towards his son. Queen Celestia, listening to what her son had to say, stopped her husband. “I gave you a second chance. Who are their parents?”
“Gaia Everfree, King Sombra, Chrysalis &....” The Prince took a few breaths before saying the last name “and Nightmare Moon.” Hearing this, the tailor, who was busy writing something in his book, suddenly gave out a loud gasp & the book fell from his hands.
“Nightmare Moon?!?! She is the worst villain in the land!” King Discord said with rage while Queen Celestia tried to think of a way to calm her husband.
“Dad, just, hear me out here -” The Prince tries to say but is cut off.
“No, I won’t hear of it. They are guilty of unspeakable crimes!” King Discord said with such rage, that the tailor bowed down & made his way quickly out the door.
“Dad, but their children are innocent. Don’t you think they deserve to live a normal life? Please, Dad…” The Prince said pleadingly to his father. Queen Celestia looked at her husband & the King gave a defeated look.
“Well, I do suppose that the children are innocent…” King Discord said to which the Prince nodded.
King Discord left the room & Queen Celestia looks at her son, straightens his suit & says “Well done.” before joining her husband. The Prince knew he had convinced his father to let those children study in Equestria & now the only thing left was to invite them here. He looks out his window once again & looks at his ring, the ring that belonged to his father.
A girl with indigo hair & pink streaks, wearing a dark purple & green coat with matching trousers is busy spray painting a portrait on the wall. It was the shadow of a woman with dark blue background & ‘ Long Live Eternal Night ‘ written in the middle. She turns around & starts singing.
They think I’m trouble, They say I’m bad! They say I’m evil, That makes me glad!
She jumps down the carton box she was standing on & walks, intentionally nudging one of the traveller passing by. A boy with dark blue hair, wearing a blue & white jacket with jeans, jumps on a roof, singing.
A dirty no-good, Down to the bone! Your worst nightmares, Can’t take me home!
He climbs down a ladder next to which was a portrait of a man with green background & ‘ Long Live Eternal Nightmares ‘ written in the middle. He then opens a sliding door & goes through, leaving a surprised woman behind. A girl with purple hair, wearing a purple dress with black trousers, wearing a noticeable pendant shaped like a heart, red in colour, walks on a table where some people were having their food on, as if it was a runway & sings.
So I’ve got some mischief, In my blood! Can you blame me? I never got no love!
She attracts many onlookers & exits through the railings. A boy with yellow-blonde hair, wearing brown jacket with jeans & a hat, comes out a window which is very deep down, singing.
They think I’m calloused, A low life hood! I feel so useless, MISUNDERSTOOD!
He pulls a scarf from someone & grabs an apple when it was thrown into the air. He takes a fierce bite & throws it back. The group of four continue singing while the girls come together & walk & the dark blue haired boy jumps off the roofs & the yellow-blonde hair boy jumps upon every bed on which people were currently sleeping.
Mirror, mirror, On the wall. Who’s the baddest, Of them all? Welcome to my Wicked World, Wicked World!
The dark blue-haired boy slides down a roof while the girls go away to a corner.
I’m rotten to the core, core, Rotten to the core! I’m rotten to the core, Who could ask for more? I’m nothing like the kid next, Like the kid next door! I’m rotten to the, I’m rotten to the… CORE!
They all appear behind a netted door & open it, climbing a box & running on it. They disturb people in that place as they try to stop them. One man takes a bag of potatoes, passes it on to his friend & his friend tries to throw it on those annoying kids, so that they will stop. Instead, the kids throw that bag back to him & makes one of them fall, the other straight into a bucket of water. They go under tables, remove the washing that was kept to dry out, trying to create as much ruckus as possible. They get hold of some good sticks & make sound by bashing the sticks onto the buckets & scream through the alley in which they were going through. The indigo haired girl appears, from a heap of clothes hanging outside, with her spray can still in her hand.
Call me a schemer, Call me a freak! How can you say that, I’m just, unique!
She spray paints the letter ‘ T ‘ on a white screen & opens it & walks away, revealing a man sitting in a bathtub, scared. The blue-haired boy hangs onto the railing above & jumps down, in front of two people, having a drink.
What, me a traitor, Ain’t got your back! Are we not friends, What’s up with that?
He lifts up the jug, bows to both, & runs away, taking the jug with him. The purple-haired girl appears walking through a heap of clothes hanging.
So, I’m a misfit, So, I’m a flirt! I broke your heart, I made ya hurt!
She pulls a scarf from a person checking the clothes, which send him twirling around. Then she turns around, grabbing few clothes while that man tries to see her. The yellow-blonde haired boy jumps from table to table, kicking out the vegetable that were kept in the basket on the table.
The past is past, Forgive, forget! The truth is, You ain’t seen nothin’ yet!
He throws something down which angers one of the woman there & seeing her, he runs on to a trailer & looks at her while she could only stand there in anger & throw some things on him. The two rotten girls come together at the top & catch the railing devilishly while looking at the equally rotten boys.

The blue-haired boy hangs on a plank which was attached to the ceiling & was pulled by the yellow-blonde haired boy with a rope. Then, seeing the girls go outside, they run behind them where they dance with some of the people running away from them & some following their dance steps.

With the last word, they finish their song, with the indigo haired girl puffing at the hair strand that came on her face. She spots a baby being pulled in an old-fashioned stroller by its mother with a lollipop in its hand. She takes away the lollipop from its hands which sends the baby crying while its mother went on pulling the stroller, not paying attention to whatever was happening.
The indigo haired girl raises the lollipop, showing everyone there that she’s evil to even take something as simple as a lollipop from a baby. Just then, two men, with dark blue & black clothes walk into the area to which everyone who were with that gang ran away, leaving the gang by themselves. The men stop & move to either side, showing the reason of people running away. Standing behind the men was none other than Nightmare Moon.
“Hi Mom…” The indigo haired girl said, referring to Nightmare Moon.
“Stealing candy, Twilight? So disappointed…” Nightmare Moon said to her daughter, Twilight Sparkle.
“It was from a baby…” Twilight smirked, showing the lollipop to her mother.
“That’s my nasty little girl!” Nightmare Moon said, to which Twilight gave a little laugh. She grabbed the lollipop from her hand & spat on it. She then gave it to one of her men & said “Give it back to that dreadful creature!”
Twilight, clearly disappointed, said “But, mom…”
“It’s the deeds, Twilight, that makes the difference between mean &” Nightmare Moon said, before turning to the baby & its mother “truly evil!” She then returned her focus back onto Twilight.
“When I was your age, I was cursing--” Nightmare Moon said when Twilight completed her sentence “Entire Kingdoms!” Nightmare Moon looked at her daughter & motioned to come with her a bit away from the gang.
“I’m just trying to teach the thing that really counts! How to be mean…” Nightmare Moon says, lost in deep thought.
“I can do that! And I’ll do better!” Twilight says, trying to impress her mother. Her gang was looking at her with concern.
“OH, There’s News!” Nightmare Moon said, coming out of her deep thought “I’m very relieved! You four, have been chosen to go to a different school. In Equestria!”
“Say WHAT?!?!” The gang said together.
“I’m not going to some boarding school which has students as prissy, pink princesses…” Twilight says with disgust.
“The Perfect Princesses!” The dark purple haired girl exclaims.
“Ugh!” Twilight says with disgust at her friend.
“Ma’am, I don’t do uniforms. And they love them so much” The dark-blue haired boy says, laughing.
“I’ve read somewhere that they allow dogs in Equestria. My mom said that they are rabid animals & they don’t behave..” The yellow-blonde haired boy goes deep in thought, when his pal, the dark-blue haired boy scares him.
“Yeah, mom, we’re not going!” Twilight argued with her mother.
“Oh, you think it’s small, pumpkin? It’s all about World Domination!” Nightmare Moon said licking her lips & calling out to her men “Knuckleheads” before leaving.
“Twilight!” Nightmare Moon called out as she made her way back. Twilight with her gang, followed her mother back home.
At their residence, or something like an old palace was a huge gothic chair on which Nightmare Moon was sitting on. “You will go, you will meet the Fairy Godmother & you will bring me back her magic wand.” Nightmare Moon said as she sharpened her nails & puffed at them, saying “Easy, peasy!”
“What’s in it for us?” Twilight asked.
“Matching thrones, herds & herds of crowns..” Nightmare Moon said, thinking up.
“I think, I think she meant us.” The yellow-blonde haired boy said which he soon regretted.
Nightmare Moon motioned her daughter to come close to her & said “It’s all about you & me, baby! Do you enjoy seeing innocent people suffer?”
“Well, yeah, of cour--” Twilight started but got interrupted by her mom.
“Then you will get me the wand and you & I can see so much more! And with that wand in my sceptre, I will be able to bend both good & evil to my will!” Nightmare Moon shouted at the top of her voice.
“You mean our will?” A green haired woman, identified as Chrysalis said to which another woman with green & pink stripes in her hair, identified as Gaia Everfree nodded to.
“Our will, our will..” Nightmare Moon corrected herself in a non convincing way. “And if you refuse, you’ll be grounded for the rest of your life, missy.” Nightmare Moon said to her daughter, winking.
“Wha, mom!” Twilight started but had to stop as her mother closed her hand indicating that she shouldn’t talk. They both stare into each other’s eyes, which made their eyes turn a mixture of blue & purple. Nightmare Moon stared very dominatively in her daughter’s eyes & Twilight was finding it hard to fight back. Finally, Twilight had to close her eyes in defeat & she said “Fine! Whatever!” to which Nightmare Moon replied in childish way “I win!”
“Rarity!” Chrysalis calls the purple haired girl who is now identified as her daughter.”My evil little, let me train you.”
Rarity quickly rushed over to her mother who said “If you just find yourself with a Prince who has a big castle, and a mother-in-law with” Rarity says along with her mother as she says “lots & lots of mirrors!” Rarity let out a laugh of happiness.
“No laughing, wrinkles!” Chrysalis told her daughter.
“Look now, I wouldn’t want my son, Braeburn to go away. I’d miss him too much!” Gaia Everfree said to the yellow-blonde haired boy, Braeburn, her son, while ruffling his hair.
“Really mom?” Braeburn asked.
“Yes! Who would massage my head, fluff up my coat & put on my shoes?!” Gaia said while lifting her leg.
“Put me in another school & you will be the worst thing…” Braeburn said in monotone.
“Braeburn, they have dogs in Equestria…” Gaia said, knowing that her son will fear dogs all due to her long years scaring her son about dogs.
“Oh no, I’m not going!” Braeburn announced.
“Well Soarin isn’t going either!” A dark haired man, now identified as King Sombra, said, referring to his son, the dark-blue haired boy. “I need him to stock the shelves in my store!”
Hearing this, Nightmare Moon let out a grunt. ”Making these people come to my will is the first thing I need to do…” she thought.
Sombra took his son to a corner & asked “What did you get today?”
Soarin smirked before getting out some things he had been hiding in his shirt. But what caught his father’s eye was a lamp that he brought.
“Ah! A lamp!” Sombra said as he rubbed the lamp intensively.
“Dad, I’ve tried already.” Soarin said, seeing what his father was looking for. Hearing this, he gave the lamp back to his son in disgust.
“Rarity isn’t going anywhere until we get rid of her un-uniform brow…” Chrysalis said.
“What is wrong with you all? People cower at the mention of our names!” Nightmare Moon said, clearly exhausted by all. “For twenty years, I had searched a way off the island. For twenty years, I had planned our revenge. Revenge on all those who had wronged us! And my sweet revenge on Equestria!” And called out “Villains!” to which everybody looked towards her.
“Our time has come! Chrys, give your magic mirror…” Nightmare Moon said.
“This, is your magic mirror?” Rarity said, taking the mirror in her hand.
“Well, it ain’t what it used to be. It will help you find things.” Chrysalis explained.
“Like a Prince?” Rarity said, dreamily.
“Like the Magic Wand, hello!” Nightmare Moon exclaimed. “Where is my book? The book, the book…”
Chrysalis pointed towards a fridge & Nightmare Moon went towards the fridge. “Chrys, help me!” Nightmare Moon said as she tried to open the fridge “I’ll never figure how this works!”
Chrysalis went towards the fridge & opened it very easily, unlike her friend. “Voila!”
“My spells! Come darling, come!” Nightmare Moon called her daughter. She winced a little while holding the book, taking in mind the years that have passed since the book was in the fridge.
“Look now, this here book will not work here, but it will work in Equestria. Remember, when we were spreading evil & ruining lives?” Nightmare Moon said.
“Like it was yesterday!” Chrysalis replied.
“And now, you will be making your own memories…” Nightmare Moon said to her daughter and added “If you do exactly as I tell you.”
Suddenly, they heard a honking sound. “Oh, let’s get this party started” Rarity said as she looked at herself in the mirror, her mother gave her.
“Who’s the fairest of them all?” Chrysalis asks her daughter.
“Me!” Rarity replied.
“Yes, you.” Chrysalis said.
“Braeburn, come on!” Gaia says, calling her son away.
“Now, recite the mantra.” Sombra said to his son.
“There’s no team like you & I.” Soarin replied with a smile.
“You’re making me tear up!” Sombra said.
“My bad…” Soarin said as he made his way out.
“I’m coming!” Sombra said, as he grabbed some things along with him.
Nightmare Moon opened the large doors of the balcony, leading her daughter. They looked out to the land of Equestria which looked near from their point of view.
“The future of the free world rests upon your shoulders. Don’t blow it.” Nightmare Moon told her daughter as she turned around & left the balcony, leaving Twilight to collect her thoughts. Twilight was still looking out to Equestria when the call from her mother brought her back to reality & she followed her mother.
Down, a car from Equestria was ready for them. Soarin observed the car with great interest. He saw a silver symbol of the crown that was on the car’s bonnet. He quickly went towards it, made sure nobody saw him & grabbed it, adding to his collection. He then made his way back.
Rarity came running to the car with a bag in her hand which was unmistakably red. “Oh, lots of common folk!” Chrysalis commented, seeing that many people staying in the Isle have come to see the car that will take the gang.
“Come back here, now!” Gaia yelled at her son. “Braeburn!” Her son rushed into the car before she could even do anything.
Then Twilight came with a bag on her shoulder. Nightmare Moon watched the entire thing from the balcony. Before entering the car, Twilight looked back, hoping to see her mother. Then her gaze went up & towards her mother. Her mother replied the gaze with actions showing that she will be watching her. Twilight just nodded & went into the car.
The driver reported “The Jackals have landed” before putting on his seat belt & driving.
The interior of the passenger seats was like one for celebrities. Braeburn & Soarin spotted a corner in the car where there was lots of candies. Braeburn & Soarin looked at each other before fighting to get the the candies. Twilight & Rarity looked at each other & just shrugged. Nothing could be done of these boys…
“You’re looking a little washed out. Let me help you.” Rarity said as she took out her makeup brush to which Twilight just replied “Eww, stop...”
Braeburn took a bite of a candy & nudged Soarin “Oh, this one, it’s salty like nuts but sweet like I don’t know what!” He put the whole thing in his mouth when Soarin said “Show me”
Braeburn opened his mouth & all Soarin could say was “Ew!”
The gang was busy doing their own thing when the driver opened a small portion of glass between him & the gang. Rarity spotted that happen & said “Look!”
All of them looked at where they were going. They were approaching the broken bridge which separates the Isle from Equestria. Braeburn shouted “It’s a trap!” which led to the gang screaming at the top of their voices. But to their surprise, they were still going towards Equestria. When they saw outside, they spotted a magical bridge make way for them & joining the bridge.
“What just happened?” Braeburn asked, surprised.
“It must be magic!” Rarity exclaimed.
Twilight turned her head towards the driver & called out to him “Hey! Did this little button open up the Magic barrier?” She said, spotting a remote with the driver.
“No, that button doesn’t open the Magic barrier. It opens my garage.” The driver says before pointing towards the rear mirror “This button.” As he said so, he closed up the glass between him & the gang.
“Okay, that’s sweet. I like that guy.” Twilight says as she sits back.
They go on, driving on the bridge that will lead them to Equestria & maybe the place that will change their lives forever.

Evil Like Me
The car arrived into Equestria & drived to Equestria Prep High School. They drove to the main entrance where people were having banners to welcome the new students. The school band was outside, also welcoming the students with their music. Their uniforms were blue shirts & yellow trousers along with a high hat in blue. The driver stopped & got down. He went towards the door of the passenger seats & opened it. As soon as he did, Braeburn fell down while fighting with Soarin over something. Seeing this, the band stopped playing in confusion.
From behind the band, came the Fairy Godmother. She had blonde hair, with a fair skin. She wore a lovely light yellow dress with matching overcoat & a brooch of pear & apple together. “We have an audience…” She said uneasily as she saw what was happening.
By then, the girls had come out & unlike the boys were better at presenting themselves. “Just clean it up, boys!” Twilight said.
The boys got up real quick & got embarrassed by what they did. “Looks like you found it!” Fairy Godmother said, noticing chocolate box over which they were fighting on. “Keep it back, don’t take anything with you…”
Hearing this, the boys kept the chocolates back. Or rather threw them back. Behind the Fairy Godmother was the Prince & a girl with him. Her hair had red streaks over her yellow hair. She was wearing a orange dress with a black overcoat. Soarin looked over at her & said “Hello, the name’s Soarin!” to which the girl just gave a little laugh & hard to tell if it was genuine.
“Welcome to Equestria Prep. I’m Fairy Godmother Pear Butter, the Head Mistress.” Fairy Godmother Pear Butter, introduced.
“THE Fairy Godmother?!” Twilight asked, curiously “As in ‘Bibbidi, bobbidi, boo’ ?”
“Bibbidi bobbidi, you know it!” Fairy Godmother replied.
“Yeah, I always wondered what it felt like for Fluttershy, when you just appeared, out of nowhere! With that sparkly wand & warm smile…” Twilight said, recounting the story of the Fairy.
“That was a long time ago, and as I say, don’t focus on the past or you’ll miss the future!” Fairy Godmother replied.
The Prince came towards them & introduced himself “It’s good to finally meet you all. I’m Flash.”
“Prince Flash Sentry! Soon to be King!” The girl exclaimed.
“Hi there, Prince. My mother’s a Queen, so that makes me a Princess…” Rarity says, doing a little bow towards Flash.
“Queen Chrysalis, has no Royal Status here, and neither do you!” The girl says, giving an awkward smile towards Rarity.
“Uh, this is Sunset!” Flash introduced.
“Princess Sunset Shimmer, his girlfriend… Isn’t it right, Flashy?” Sunset said, properly introducing herself.
“Flash & Sunset will show you around. I’ll see you tomorrow!” Fairy Godmother said before adding “The doors of wisdom are never shut! But the library hours are from 8 to 11 & I may have a little thing about curfews.”
Twilight gave a weak smile after which the Fairy Godmother left, with the whole school band following after her. Flash again comes forward, towards Soarin who just lifts his hand up to avoid any physical contact.
“It’s so so so good to finally meet you.” Flash said, smiling. He shook hands with Twilight saying “This is a momentous occasion & one that will go down, in history.” He shook hands with Braeburn, who had chocolate in his hand. “Chocolate?” Flash asked, still managing to keep his composure. “Today is a day of healing, our two divided worlds get healed.” He said as he shook Rarity’s hand.
“Or the day, you show four people, where the bathrooms are.” Twilight bluntly said, smiling.
“A little bit over the top?” Flash asked Twilight.
“Not more than a little bit!” Twilight smiled wickedly.
“Oh. Well, so much for my first impression….” Flash said as he looked at her & she looked at him. Then they giggled a bit.
“Hey, you’re Nightmare Moon’s daughter, aren’t you?” Sunset intervened. “You know, I would totally not blame you for your mom trying to kill my parents & stuff. Mine is Mistmane, Sleeping Beauty.”
“Yeah... For the name. No, I totally wouldn’t blame your grandparents for inviting everyone in the whole world, but my mother, for their stupid christening.” Twilight bluntly replied.
“Water under the bridge…” Sunset chuckled.
“Totes!” Twilight said, as they gave weird laugh followed by a strange silence.
Flash, getting awkward by that silence, broke it by saying “So, how about a tour?”
“Sure, why not?” Twilight said.
“Equestria Prep was originally built 300 years ago & converted into a high school by my father when he became King.” Flash said as he led the new students to the school’s fountain. He stopped to stare at the statue of his father, a man, with a warm smile on his face. When he clapped his hands, the statue morphed into a long & monstrous creature. It balanced on a horse & dragon leg, with a paw & talon as hands. His head had two horns of different species. Overall, his body was a hodgepodge of different parts. Seeing this happen, Braeburn shrieked & jumped on Soarin.
“Braeburn, it’s okay.” Flash tried to explain “My father wanted this statue to morph from a Draconequus to a man to remind us that anything is possible.”
“Does he look scary?” Twilight asked.
“Nah, he never turns into a Draconequus anymore. Even if he does, that’s very rare.” Flash replied as he led them inside.
Braeburn jumped off Soarin & after everyone followed the Prince, he tried to morph the statue back to its normal state by clapping hands. When it didn’t turn back, he just rushed off behind the others.
“So, you guys have a lot of magic here in Equestria? Like wands & things like that.” Twilight asked.
“Yeah, it exists of course, but it’s pretty much retired. Most of us here are just, ordinary mortals.” Flash explained.
“Who happened to be Kings & Queens…” Twilight raised the point.
“That’s true! Our Royal Blood goes back hundreds of years!” Sunset again intervenes, giggling with Flash.
Flash notices a boy with green hair, wearing the uniform of the school band walking down the flight of stairs with some papers in his hand.
“Spike, Spike, come down!” Flash calls out.
As Flash went towards Spike, Sunset shoots a not so good glare at Twilight to which Twilight just smiles at. Oh, what a brat…. Was all Twilight thought about her.
Flash comes towards the gang with his hand on Spike’s shoulder, saying “This is Spike. He’s going to help you with your class schedules & show you the rest of the dorms. I’ll see you later, okay? And if there’s anything you need, feel free to …”
“Ask Spike!” Sunset quickly completed the sentence.They laughed a bit which was again awkward. Sunset left the gang & Flash gave a smile before joining his girlfriend.
“Hey guys, I’m Ember’s son. As in Ember, Smolder, Grumble…” Spike introduced himself.
“Okay, okay, we get it…” Rarity said, bored of all introductions. “I’m Rarity, Queen Chrysalis’ daughter.”
“Okay, so about your classes,” Spike started nervously as he saw one of most beautiful girls. Sure, others were beautiful, but not like her. “I, uh, put in the requirements already.” Twilight went towards him & leaned into the paper he was reading from. “History of Equestria, safety rules for the usage of internet & uh, remedial goodness 101.” Spike completed.
“Let me guess, new class?” Twilight said from over his shoulder.
Spike just nodded in response. Rarity went on twirling her hair in front of him which made it very hard for him to have a neutral composure.
“Come on, guys. Let’s go find our dorms.” Twilight said, as they moved towards a flight of stairs.
Spike, still entranced by Rarity’s beauty, processes things after she’s out of his sight. “Oh, uh, yeah, your dorms are that way guys.” He pointed to the opposite flight of stairs. The gang just shrugged in response & ran to the mentioned staircase.
“Rarity is so beautiful….how?” Spike said. Braeburn, who was running after the gang, stopped & said “I don’t know, she just does.” before joining his gang.
Twilight opens the door to her & her friend’s room. The room was very different, compared to what was there at the Isle. The room had two beds, with two windows ; one on their right & the other at the center. The room was pastel coloured, along with the bed too. There was a dining table, some chairs, a bedside table over which there was a lamp.
“This place is so amaz…” Rarity complimented.
“Gross.” Twilight completed Rarity’s sentence.
“I, I know right? Amazingly gross! Ew.” Rarity said to match her friend’s speech.
“Ugh, I’m going to need some serious sunscreen…” Twilight says.
“Yeah…” Rarity managed to say.
“Rare” Twilight said as she pointed to the window curtains. Rarity, immediately understood what her friend wanted to do & immediately pulled the curtains on the window. Twilight went to the other window & closed its curtains.
“Whew, that is much better!” Twilight said, relieved that it isn’t bright in the room anymore.
It’s evening at Equestria. Well, in the Isle, you can’t say what time of the day it is unless you check the clocks as there is a huge dark cloud over the Isle that prevents any sunlight there. That’s the reason that Twilight was feeling so uneasy in the room. Now, back to the story.
Braeburn was busy playing a VR game when Twilight & Rarity decided to pay them a little visit to their room. Despite noticing that the girls are there, or he is too absorbed in playing, he doesn’t stop & continues the game. The girls go over to Soarin who is busy doing something.
“Soarin, what is this?” Twilight asks looking at the heap of things on the bed.
“This is all what I stole…” Soarin smirks.
“Okay… what’s the point?” Twilight asks.
“Well, Twilight, it’s like buying whatever I want. Except its free.” Soarin replied.
“Ha, okay, so you could do that or leave all of this here & pick it up when we take over the world!” Twilight suggested.
“You sound just like your mom…” Rarity commented.
“Thank you!” Twilight said.
“You do your way & I’ll do mine!” Soarin said, leaving the girls to themselves.
“Yeah, suckers! Hey Soarin, check this thing out! It’s awesome!” Braeburn said as he went towards Soarin to give the controls.
Soarin took the controls of the game & started playing. Twilight, who came here for a completely different purpose, shouted “Guys! Do I have to remind you what we all came here for?”
“Fairy Godmother, blah, blah, blah. Magic Wand, blah, blah, blah.” Soarin said, boredly. Hearing this, everyone laughed except Twilight.
“This is our one chance,” Twilight started, in a serious tone “to prove ourselves to our parents. To prove that we are evil & vicious & ruthless & cruel. Yeah?”
Hearing this, everyone said “Yeah…” in a low voice.
“Rarity, mirror me.” Twilight said as she sat on a chair near the table followed by others doing the same.
“Mirror, mirror on the… in my hand,” Rarity started “where is Fairy Godmother’s Wand…. Stand?” As soon as she said so, the mirror glowed, showing the wand.
“There it is!” Twilight exclaimed.
“Zoom out!” Braeburn said.
“Magic mirror, not so close.” Rarity instructed the mirror. When she said so, the mirror showed the wand’s location from Earth. “Closer, closer, closer!” Rarity went on instructing that mirror.
Braeburn, completely bored about this asked “Can I go back to my game? I’m on level three.”
Twilight suddenly said “Stop!” which frightened Braeburn. “It’s in the museum. Do we know where that is?”
Braeburn quickly searched in the computer next to him. “2.3 miles from here.” He stated.
Twilight opened the door of the room. She checked for anyone in the corridor. When she was certain that no one is there, she said “Come on!” before going out. Rarity & Soarin followed Twilight. Braeburn was again busy playing the game by himself. Twilight noticed that he wasn’t with them & called him. He then quickly followed them.
They ran & ran as fast as they could. Finally, they reached the museum. ‘The Museum of Cultural History’ was the name.
“Check the mirror!” Twilight said, in an urgent tone.
“Is my mascara smudged?” Rarity asked.
“Yeah. And while you’re at it,” Twilight said, boredly “why don’t you see if you can find us the wand?”
“Sure, this way!” Rarity led her gang. They came across doors towards their destination. The door was made of glass in its upper half through which Twilight & her gang saw through. As they looked through, they noticed a security guard, checking the CCTV Camera’s footage. As they were looking intently at him, he suddenly turned his chair towards the door. Luckily, they hid fast. Then they looked closely at a spinning wheel. The signboard next to it wrote ‘Nightmare Moon’s Spinning Wheel’.
“That’s your mother’s spinning wheel?” Soarin mockingly asked Twilight.
“Yeah, it’s kinda dorky…” Added Braeburn.
“It’s magic. It doesn’t have to look scary.” Twilight defended. She then took out her book which her mother gave her & recited a spell from it. “Magic spindle, do not linger. Make my victim prick a finger! ”
The security guard just sat there, unaffected by the spell cast by Twilight. “Impressive.” Soarin mocked again.
“I got chills!” Braeburn also mocked.
“Okay, you know what?” Twilight said, before reciting another spell “Prick the finger, prick it deep. Send my enemy off to sleep! ”
The security guard then stood up, went near the spindle & pricked himself. He then yawned & slept at the platform on which the spindle was kept on.
“Not so dorky now, huh?” Twilight asked, replying to the earlier mocking. She then tried to open the door by pulling & pushing the handle, but all it did was rattle.
“Stand back.” Soarin said confidently. Or probably over-confidently. As Soarin went back, Twilight quickly recited another spell “Make it easy, make it quick. Open up without a kick! ” As soon as she said the words, the doors opened. But unfortunately, Soarin was thinking of kicking his way in. He fell down hard on the ground. The girls laughed at this.
“Coming?” Twilight mockingly asked Soarin as she made her way in.
“Come on, Soarin.” Braeburn said as the girls went in. He helped Soarin to his feet.
“I’m good!” Soarin replied, embarrassed.
“Just trying to help!” Braeburn replied.
They make their way towards the sleeping security guard after which Twilight says “Shh!” to remind them to stay quiet here.They look at the wall mountings that were there. Accidentally, Braeburn touches the leg of the security guard. Luckily for them, the security guard just turned in his sleep.
Twilight whispered “Braeburn!”
“Coming!” Braeburn replied, moving towards his gang.
“So close!” Rarity said, guiding the gang to the wand. “Upstairs!” She said in whispers.
“Come on, go, go, go, go!” Twilight told her gang.”Up, up, up, up, up!”
“Come on guys, we’re almost there!” Rarity whispered.
They reached upstairs & moved to the left corner to find the statues of their parents. They walked slowly towards them.
“Mommy?” Rarity asked, looking at the statue of her mother.
“Killer…” Soarin said, looking at the statue of his father.
“I will never forget mother’s day again.” Braeburn said, looking at the statue of his mother.
“Well, the wand’s not here. Let’s bounce!” Soarin said, feeling awkward. “Let’s go!” He said, bringing the gang back to reality. Well almost the entire gang. Twilight was still standing there looking at the statue of her mother. She slowly walked towards the statue of her mother while remembering the last words she spoke to her. “The future of the free world rests upon your shoulders. Don’t blow it.” Still looking, she started singing a song.
Look at you, Look at me. I don’t know who to be, Mother. Is it wrong, Is it right? Be a thief in the night, Mother! Tell me what to do.
Rarity, noticing that Twilight hadn’t come, appears from outside & says “Twilight, come on!” before going back to join the gang. Twilight turns to leave, but suddenly hears a familiar cackle from behind her. When she turns back, she sees her mother, alive!
“Don’t be so serious, darling!” Nightmare Moon said, laughing. “I’m sorry!” She said before singing.
I was one like you my child, Slightly insecure.
She motions Twilight to come towards her. She then came down from her pedestal towards her daughter.
Argued with my mother too, Thought I was mature.
Twilight sits at the steps to her mother’s pedestal & Nightmare Moon sits near her.
But I put my heart aside, And I used my head!
She flung her leg towards Twilight & then upon her other leg. And then she pointed at her own head.
Now I think it’s time you learned, What dear old Momma said!
Nightmare Moon stood up & touches Twilight’s forehead to which Twilight winces.
Don’t you wanna be evil, Like me? Don’t you wanna be mean? Don’t you wanna make mischief, Your daily routine?
She then lifted her hand in the air while moving down the steps & Twilight was looking at her with confusion. She then rotates her sceptre & takes it in her other hand. She then goes round her sceptre.
Well you can spend your life, Attending to the poor. But when you’re evil, Doing less is doing more!
She then mimics a poor woman. She then looks at Twilight & raises her sceptre in the air.
Don’t you wanna be ruthless & rotten & mad? Don’t you wanna be very very good at being bad!
She dragged her sceptre towards Twilight’s left side. Then she kept on rotating her sceptre & brought it’s end back, it’s head pointing towards Twilight who just sat in confusion.
I have tried my whole life long, To do the worst I can!
Nightmare Moon moved towards Twilight & stood on the steps.
Clawed my way to victory! Built my master plan!
She looks at Twilight with an devilish smile on her face.
Now the time has come my dear, For you to take your place!
She then stands behind Twilight & bashed the sceptre’s bottom hard on the ground which sent a shiver down Twilight’s spine.
Promise me you’ll try to be, An absolute disgrace!
As if controlling Twilight, she raises her hand up & Twilight stands. She then hops down & gives a childish smile to which Twilight replied with a scared face.
Don’t you wanna be evil like me? Don’t you wanna be cruel?
She then does a little dancing with her sceptre.
Don’t you wanna be nasty & brutal & cool?
She then mimics moving a stick up & down. Then she acts as being cool.
And when you grab that wand, It’s when your reign begins!
She then throws her sceptre towards Twilight, who catches it. She moves towards Twilight & mimics the action of celebration
Who wants an Evil Queen, Without a sack of sins!
She then hops back & claps towards Twilight to give back the sceptre.
Don’t you wanna be heartless & hardened as stone? Don’t you wanna be finger-licking evil to the bone?
She moves her sceptre to her left & right before licking it a bit & playing with it as a guitar.
This is not for us to ponder, This was preordained!
She suddenly flies into the air, across the room with dark blue flames forming a circle round her pedestal.
You & I shall rule together, Freedom soon regained!
She points to Twilight & herself before lifting her hands into the air.
Mistress of the Universe, Powerful & strong!
She slowly reaches the ground, showing that she is powerful.
Daughter, Hear me, Help me, Join me!
She gives her hand to Twilight & takes it back & motions her to join her. Twilight could only see in confusion through all this.
Won’t you sing along?!
Twilight along with her mother come to the centre of the room.
Now we’re gonna be evil, it’s true, Never gonna think twice!
Nightmare Moon & Twilight both singed together, holding the sceptre.
And we’re gonna be spiteful!
Twilight sang, pulling the sceptre towards her.
Yes, spiteful. That’s nice!
Nightmare Moon pulled the sceptre towards her as she thought about what her daughter said.
In just a hour or two, Our futures safe & sure!
They both circled round each other, doing a little dance.
This mother-daughter act is, Going out on tour!
Nightmare Moon sang as she & her daughter both held the sceptre as they made the way up to her pedestal.
If you wanna be evil & awful & free!
She pointed at her daughter & imitated her being the evilest person while giving her hand to Twilight. Twilight accepted It, letting go off the sceptre which her mother took.
Then you should thank your lucky stars, That you were born the girl you are!
She did a little dance after which the room glowed as if made of stars. She put her sceptre on either side of Twilight & sent her down the steps while Nightmare Moon danced.
The daughter of an Evilicious Queen!
She kept on dancing as she was raised into the air again. Twilight again looked at her mother in confusion.
Like Me!!!
She sang as she was raised very high & then she cackled very loudly with dark blue lightning engulfing her.
“Hey, I found the wand! Come on!” Rarity said as she again came to bring Twilight. Twilight looked at Rarity & when she was gone, she looked back at her mother, only to see her as a statue, again! Twilight shrugged the uneasy feeling off & joined her gang.
“There it is!” Rarity said as she pointed at the wand.
“Whoo!” Twilight replied. They then escaped through a gate to reach the magical wand.
Soarin reached the wand first & looked at it intently. The others joined him in seeing the wand intently. Soarin couldn’t help but go towards the wand. “Soarin, don’t!” Twilight warned.
Soarin went on towards the wand. “Soarin, no, no, no!” Twilight warned but to no use. He went to grab the wand but failed to notice that it was protected. As soon as he went to grab the wand, his hand touched the magical barrier around the wand. Soarin was thrown back from the impact of the barrier & a loud noisy alarm was switched on which woke up the security guard.
“The force field & the siren?!” Soarin said, trying to cover his ears from the loud siren.
“That was excessive!” Twilight tried to yell over the loud siren. They ran away from the wand as quickly as possible. They took another route to that of the security guard. The security guard searched for anything near the wand while the gang were running for their lives.
A telephone was ringing when the gang reached the ground floor. Braeburn received the call. “Hello? Uh yeah, um, give me a second…” He said as he typed some buttons nearby which stopped the siren. “No, no, it was a false alarm. There was a malfunction in the, uh, IM 714 chip in the breadboard circuit. Okay, say hi to missus!” He finished as he slammed the disconnect button & ran with the gang.
“Braeburn!” Twilight yelled.
“You’re welcome!” Braeburn replied as he ran.
The security guard returns to the ground floor to find nobody there.
“Way to go, Soarin!” Twilight says, gasping for breath & still running. “Now we go to school tomorrow!”

It was the next day at Equestria. The villain kids were already at school, in their new class, only for them which is Remedial Goodness.
“If someone hands you a crying baby, do you A - Curse it, B - Lock it in a tower, C - Give it a bottle, or D - Carve out its heart?” Fairy Godmother Pear Butter asked the new students.
Rarity thought for a little while & then raised her hand immediately. Fairy Godmother motioned Rarity to answer the question. “What was the second one?” Rarity said to which Fairy Godmother shifted her gaze elsewhere.
“Okay, anybody else?” Fairy Godmother asked.
Twilight was busy sketching in a paper. She was sketching the magic wand she had seen last night. It was incredibly good. “Twilight!” Fairy Godmother called on Twilight to answer the question.
Twilight turned her head towards the Fairy & replied “C - Give it a bottle.”
“Correct, again!” Fairy Godmother said, clearly impressed by Twilight.
“You’re on fire, girl!” Braeburn said, also impressed.
“Just pick the one that doesn't sound any fun…” Twilight idly replied.
Hearing that, her gang reached the realization point. “That makes so much sense!” Rarity commented to which Twilight just replied with a “Duh!” before going back to her sketch.
A girl, wearing a bow on her hair & a yellow & red dress, came into the room & rushed forward as soon as she came within 100m area near the villains. She went towards the Fairy. “Oh, hello dear!” Fairy Godmother greeted the girl.
“Uh, you need to sign off early dismissal for the coronation…” The girl said, giving some papers to the Fairy & constantly watching her back as if the villains can shoot laser beams any time soon.
“Everybody, meet my daughter, Apple Bloom.” Fairy Godmother introduced the young girl who had come. “Mom!” Apple Bloom said, nervously
“Oh, that’s okay. Apple Bloom, meet everyone.” Fairy Godmother said, pushing her daughter towards the students of whom her daughter is very scared of.
“Uh, Hey?” Apple Bloom says, still nervous. “That’s Okay, don’t mind me. Please go back to your studies, as you were.” She said & shrieked when she again came near to them. Then she rushed out of the room.
Twilight was just pondering about how weird it all was. Fairy Godmother had enough of the silence & said “Ahem, let’s get back to studies, shall we?”
“If you find a vial of poison, do you A - Put it in the King’s wine, B - Paint it on an apple,” Hearing the second option, the girls shared a giggle “Or C - Turn it over to the proper authorities?”
All except Twilight raised their hands. The boys were a little aggressive in this, though. They fought on keeping the other’s hand down. Finally, the Fairy chose Soarin. “ C - Turn it over to the proper authorities.” Soarin said, showing his tongue to Braeburn.
“I was about to say that!” Braeburn argued with Soarin.
“But I said first!” Soarin mocked Braeburn.
Then they started getting brutal over each other. Rarity took out her mirror & started looking into her reflection while the boys were at it. Fairy Godmother didn’t want a fight so she tried to get them to stop. Finally she succeeded.
“Boys! It would do a greater good if you would use this energy on the tourney field.” Fairy Godmother said.
“Oh no, that’s okay. Whatever that is.” Soarin said, getting off Braeburn.
Out in the school ground, a game of tourney was being played. The coach blew the whistle. “Soarin, Flash, offense. Trender, you’re defense!” He called to the players, informing them of the roles they will be playing in the game. He called on another to be the shooter. His eyes finally fell on Braeburn who was idly walking with the helmet in his hand.
“Hey, Hey, Hey you blonde boy! Put on your helmet & get out of the kill zone!”
Braeburn looked at the ground & put on his helmet. A part of the ground where Braeburn was standing on was painted in red & white stripes. Braeburn, obviously new to this game, moves confusedly. The coach blows the whistle & the game begins.
The players struggle to move the ball with the bat in their hand & some players fall down in their attempt in snatching the ball from the other team. The cheerleaders kept on cheering for the teams. Soarin didn’t know the rules & thinks this is hitting-the-others-until-they-fall-to-the-ground game. The other players, including the coach, look at Soarin in confusion. Yet, he does pretty good.
He reaches the kill zone, the zone where the ground is painted in red & white stripes, & easily makes it through to the other side without getting hit by the shooter. He successfully hits the ball to the net & the players are scared to even stop his shot.
Soarin, overjoyed by his victory, does a winning dance. The coach again blew the whistle & called Soarin towards him. The cheerleading team, except Sunset, were all cheering at the top of their voices for Soarin.
“What do you call that?” The coach asks Soarin. Soarin remains silent, thinking that maybe he did something wrong.
“I call that raw talent! Come, find me later. I’ll show you something that’s called a rule book! Haha, welcome to the team, son!” The coach said before turning his attention on Braeburn.
“Ever thought about joining the band?” The coach asks mockingly to Braeburn at which the new students just laugh a little.
“I’ll work with him, coach!” Flash offered.
“All right, let’s run that again!” The coach said as he blew his whistle. Soarin turns around to see a boy, whom the coach called as Trender staring at him. Soarin just moves, intentionally nudging him as he made his way.
Sunset & Trender make their way to the school lockers, joined by Flash following them. They were laughing until they saw Twilight & Rarity near.
“Those kids are trouble!” Trender said, nudging Flash.
Seeing them, Rarity grabbed her books from her locker while Twilight was still at it. “Bye, Twilight!” She said as she went to her classroom.
“Bye!” Twilight responded.
“Come on Trender, give them a chance.” Flash smiled.
Sunset raised the sunglasses that she was wearing & held Flash’s hands, saying “No offense, Flashy Boo, but you’re too trusting. I know your mom fell in love with a big nasty beast who turned out to be really nice, but with my mom, evil fairy was just the evil fairy.” Sunset said before adding in a whisper “That girl’s mother!”
“I think that you’re wrong about them. Anyway, see you later!” Flash said, leaving them by themselves. Sunset just moves to her locker in a huff. Flash goes to Twilight & greets her. Twilight greets him back.
“How was your first day?”
“Super!”
“You should really join the art class.” Flash says, looking at the spray painting done on her locker. “I could sign you up. What do you think?”
Apple Bloom walked silently, trying not to grab their attention. But she failed as Twilight was staring at her.
“Why to take all the fun out of it?” Twilight replied as she turns around & follows Apple Bloom. Flash is left standing there, looking at Twilight’s art.
Apple Bloom was in the washroom, in front of a mirror, fixing her hair. Honestly, there was nothing to fix as her hair was a simple cut. Nothing gorgeous like that of the other girls. She suddenly stopped, as she saw that Twilight had followed her.
“Hi! It’s Apple Bloom, right? I always loved that name, Apple Bloom…” Twilight said.
“It’s cool…” Apple Bloom said as she tried to make her way out.
“STOP! Don’t go!” Twilight said to which Apple Bloom stopped instantly. Twilight just chuckled to herself. “I guess, I was kind of hoping, I could make a friend… You probably have all the friends you need though…”
“Hardly…” Apple Bloom says, sadly.
“Really? With your mom being the Fairy Godmother & all, hah. Not to mention your… uh… ruined personality…”
Apple Bloom couldn’t keep it in any longer & spilled the beans. “You are pretty! You have great hair!”
“You know what? I have just the thing for that!” Twilight said as she showed her book. “Hmmm, aha! Here it is!” Twilight said as she read the spell from the book. “Beware, forswear! Replace the old with brand new hair! ” Then, she moved her index finger to the right, left, up & down. Strangely, even Apple Bloom moved according to Twilight’s finger.
When she went down, she was suddenly free of that spell & felt that her hair was different. She then looked at the mirror where she saw herself with gorgeous curly hair. “Wow…!” Was all she managed to say.
“You don’t have to worry about your other features anymore!” Twilight says, looking at Apple Bloom’s reflection.
An idea struck Apple Bloom. “Do my nose!” She said, pointing to the book.
“Oh, I can’t. I’ve been practicing but I can’t really do… big magic… not like your mom! With her wand! I mean, one swoosh from that thing & you could probably have any features you wanted…”
“She doesn't use the wand anymore. She only believes that the real magic is in books. Not the spell books, regular books with history & stuff.”
Twilight chuckled at what Apple Bloom said. “Who would’ve read them!”
“Yeah…” Apple Bloom said silently.
“You know, she used magic on Fluttershy. That doesn’t make sense… doesn’t she love you?”
“Of course she does. It’s just… you know… tough love. ‘Work on the inside, not on the outside’... that sort of thing.” Apple Bloom made a sad face.
“YES! That face! Yes! And then just look as if your heart is about to break.” Twilight said immediately. Apple Bloom gave a confused nod. Twilight then made her face like she was sad & said “Oh mother, I can't understand why you can’t make me beautiful too…”
Twilight smiled at her. “You think it’ll work?” Apple Bloom asked eagerly.
“Yeah… I mean, that’s what Flutters did, right? And then your mom did bibbidi-bobbidi-boo on her. And you know, if your mom does decide to… break out the old wand, invite me!”
“If I can convince mom, you’re so there!”
“Yay!”
“Bye!” Apple Bloom said as she took her things & headed out.
“Bye, sweetie…!” Twilight said as she smiled devilishly.
At the Chemistry lab, Rarity was sitting beside Spike while eyeing for Trender. Rarity dreamily asks “Any chance that he’s next in the line to the throne? Anywhere in the line?”
“Trender, Prince Thunderlane junior. Fluttershy's son. Tried to inherit the charm, but not ‘there’ there, if you know what I mean…” Spike replies.
“It’s like he’s looking at me…” Rarity says, still dreamy. The teacher, known as Cranky Doodle, came towards Rarity & said “Rarity!” which brought her to reality.
“Perhaps it is just review for you. So tell me, what is the average atomic weight of silver?” He asks.
“Atomic weight?” Rarity tried to manage her cool in front of her newly found crush. “Well, not very much, I mean it’s an atom, right?”
Cranky just indicated that she should come to the board to solve it. Rarity gives a weak smile before going. She takes her magic mirror with her as she goes towards the board. She takes the chalk piece from him with a smile & says “How do we find the average atomic weight of silver?”
The mirror in her hand immediately showed the answer. “That will be 6.95 times .52 plus 8.95 times .418, which Mr. Cranky, would give us 7.9 AMU.”
Spike confusedly asked himself “AMU?”
Cranky held his head in shame. “I understand. It was a mistake to underestimate a…”
“Villain? Don’t make it again.” Rarity said as she handed him the chalk & made her way back with a smile. As she went past Trender, he gave her a piece of paper to which Rarity blushed & took.
She sat on her seat & opened her note. Meet me under bleachers. The note read. Trender & Rarity looked at each other dreamily while Spike looked in disappointment.
“Okay Braeburn, we’re gonna do some sprints. You ready?” Flash asked. Braeburn just nodded in response. Flash pressed a button & suddenly a dog chased Braeburn.
“Ah! Dog! Help!” Braeburn said between breaths.
“Yes, you’re doing it!” Flash said, his eyes on the watch. Braeburn kept on running even though he had finished the distance needed to cover.
“You can stop running now.” Flash said, looking up from his watch. He then saw Braeburn running for his life. “Braeburn, Braeburn!”
Braeburn ran into the forest area of the place & climbed a tree. Then he heard Flash calling out for him.
“Braeburn!!!”
“Flash? Flash!”
“Whoa-Whoa-Whoa!”
“Help me! This thing is a killer! He’s gonna chase me down & rip out my throat! This is a vicious rabid pack in a…”
“Hey! Who told you that?”
“My mother!”
“Gaia?” Flash took the dog in his hands.
“She’s a dog expert & stuff. Why are you holding him?! He’s gonna attack you!!”
“Braeburn, you’ve never actually met a dog, have you?”
“Of course not.”
“Winona, meet Braeburn. Braeburn, this is Winona. She’s the campus runner.”
“She doesn’t look like a vicious rabid pack animal…” Braeburn slowly came down from the tree. “Jeez. Good girl, aren't you?” He said as he patted Winona’s head & then took her in his arms.
“I guess you guys have it pretty rough on the island.”
“Yeah. Let’s just say that we don't get a lot of belly rubs.”
“Good boy. I mean you're a good runner. You're fast.”
“Yeah, thank you.”
“Listen, I'm gonna give you guys some space, Yeah? You guys get to know each other & just come find me when you're done.” Flash said as he made his way slowly out.
“Okay…”
“See you later.”
“See you later, too.” Braeburn sat down on the nearby tree root & spent some time with his friend.
Meanwhile, Trender slowly pulled Rarity behind the bleachers.
“Is everybody at home pretty, Rarity?” Trender asks.
“I like to think that I’m the fairest of them all…” Rarity said, blushing. “How many at your castle?”
“Oh, too many to count.”
Rarity started to come closer to Trender. “You really nailed that Chemistry problem today…” Hearing this, Rarity went back to her original position. “You’re gonna have all the nerds in love with you…” He said.
“I’m not concerned! I mean, really, I'm not! But I’m really good at sewing, cooking, cleaning, you know, like your mother, Fluttershy…”
Trender just gave a small smile. Rarity took out her mirror from her bag & continued “You see this? If I ask it something, it tells me!”
“Are you kidding me?”
“No!”
Trender takes the mirror from her hands & observes it. Then he asks it a question. “Where is my cell phone?” He then places the mirror on his ear, hoping to hear something.
“It doesn’t work for you, silly!”
“No biggie. My dad will just give me another one…”
“Prince Thunderlane…?”
“Yes…”
“Fluttershy…?”
“Yes…”
“Fairy Godmother…? Hey, the Fairy’s wand is in some boring Museum. Do they always leave it there?”
They both lean in & Rarity was going to kiss Trender when he backed away. “I really like to talk but, I’m just swamped! Unless…”
“Unless?”
“If you could knock all my homework out along with yours, then we could get together sometime. Okay?”
“Okay…”
“Meet you babe…”
“Yeah… bye…”
Trender left, leaving Rarity & his bag with her. Rarity was still in her love world until somebody familiar had brought her to the reality.
“I couldn't help but overhear…”
Rarity looked up to find Spike sitting on the bleacher. “Are you stalking me?” Rarity asked.
“Technically, yes. I do have a fascination with the Fairy Godmother’s wand which is why I have another reason to go to the Coronation. Perhaps we could sit next to each other & discuss its attributes?” Spike says, standing near Rarity.
“Are you saying that it is used in the Coronation?”
“Yes, & asking you…”
Rarity flashed a smile at him & left him there. Spike was left standing there & he finally heaved a big sigh.
“Mom said ‘Oh, if a boy can’t see the beauty within then he’s not worth it.’ Can you believe it? Which world does she live in?” Apple Bloom asked. She was in Twilight & Rarity's room.
“Equestria…” Twilight replied as she was busy sketching in her book.
“Twilight, do you like it?” Rarity asked holding up her newly stitched coat.
“Yeah. It’s cute. It brings out your eyes.” Twilight said, not looking up.
“I know…” Rarity replied.
“I’ll never get a boyfriend…” Apple Bloom said sadly as she sat on one of the beds.
“Boyfriends, are overrated…” Twilight said.
“How would you know, Twilight? You never had one…” Rarity asked.
“I don't need one, Rare. They're a waste of time…” Twilight chuckled.
“I forgot! I had to do Trender’s homework!” Rarity said as she ran to take Trender’s bag & sat in her chair.
“And that, is exactly what I mean.” Twilight said, shaking her head.
A girl, with neat rainbow coloured hair came into the room. “Hey guys! I’m Rainbow Dash. Daughter of Meadowbrook. Anyways, I love what you’ve done to Apple Bloom’s hair & I know that you’re… evil, but do you think you could do mine?”
Twilight looked up from her book as soon as Rainbow said those last words. “Why would I do that for you?”
“I’ll pay you $5” Rainbow said, holding out a 5 dollar bill.
“Let’s do it! Let’s see… I’m thinking we could lose the bangs, maybe some layers & some highlights…” Rarity kept on suggesting but Rainbow stopped her.
“I want it cool, like Twilight's!” Rainbow said, smiling.
“Really?” Twilight asked, surprised.
“She likes it too!” Rarity said, showing the bill. Twilight groaned & got out of her bed. Rainbow & Rarity looked at each other & smiled.
Twilight sighed as she took her spell book & flipped through its pages. “Okay…” Rainbow & Twilight smiled at each other before the recitation of the spell.
“Beware, forswear! Replace the old with cool hair! ” Twilight smiled & moved her index finger to her left, right, up & down. And sure enough, Rainbow Dash’s head also moved according to it. When Rainbow lifted her head & touched her hair, her face showed the emotion of surprise.
She quickly moved to the large mirror in the room & saw that her old hair, which was like that of Apple Bloom’s old hair was changed into longer locks.
“I know, I know… it looks like a mop on your head. You know what? Let’s cut it off later…” Rarity started.
“No! I love it!” Rainbow responded quickly. She then ripped her skirt a little at the bottom to which Apple Bloom stared wide eyed. “Now I look cool!”
“Like ice!” Twilight commented.
Apple Bloom, seeing how cool Rainbow was with ripping her skirt, did the same while looking into the mirror. Then she suddenly gasps & says “What did I just do?! Mom’s gonna kill me!”
Rainbow & the others just chuckled at that.
Soarin & the coach were sitting on the bleachers all by themselves.
“You know, I could really use a tough guy like you. The team is a bunch of Princes, if you know what I mean.” The coach said.
“You’re telling me. It’s all ‘after you, old chum.’ ‘Oh pardon me, did I bump into you?’ From where I come from, it’s ‘prepare to die, sucker!’ As my father says ‘the only way to win is to make sure everyone else loses!’” Soarin said, first imitating innocence & then getting up & being full rough mode.
“Soarin, Soarin!” The coach says, making him stop. “Let me explain a team. Uh, it’s like a family…”
“You do not want to be at my house for dinner time.”
“Okay, okay, um… you know how a body has a lot of different body parts? The legs, the elbows, the ears? But they all need each other. Well, that’s what a team is… Different players who work together to win. Make any sense?”
Soarin thinks about it for a while & asks the coach with a smile “Can I be the fist?”
The coach just takes a t-shirt & unfolds it, showing Soarin’s name on it with the number ‘11’ on it.
Soarin then makes his way to the girls’ bedroom, wearing the new t-shirt & doing a dab. Braeburn, who is also present in the room, just whistles at him. He moves towards the bed where Twilight is sitting on & asks “Did your plan work with Jane? Are you going over to see the wand?”
“Do you think that I would be going through every single spell in this book if I hadn't completely struck out?” Twilight bluntly answers.
“Oh, someone’s in a bad mood…”
“My mom’s counting on me! I can’t let her down!”
“We can do this…” Soarin said, at which everybody looked at him. “...if we stick together.”
“And we won't go back until we do. ‘Cuz we’re rotten….” Twilight said, looking at her gang.
“To the core.” The rest replied.
“Oh yeah, I found out that Fairy Godmother blesses Flash with the wand at Coronation & we all get to go. I have nothing to wear, of course.” Rarity said, making a sad face at the last line.
Suddenly, somebody knocks on the door. Twilight just looked at Rarity wide eyed. “What?” Rarity asked, surprised by the look.
“Hold that thought.” Twilight said as she kept the book on her bed & made her way to the door. Upon opening the door, she saw Flash behind it. “Hey, Twilight. I didn’t see you guys today. I was just wondering if you had any questions or anything...that… you needed…”
“Not that I know of.” She looked at her gang who shook their heads, saying ‘no’.
“Okay. All right. Well, uh, if you need anything, just, uh…” Flash said as he slowly moved away.
“Oh, wait! Um, is it true that we all get to go to your Coronation?” Twilight asked.
“Yeah, the whole school goes.” Flash said, smiling.
“Wow. That is beyond exciting. Do you think it’s a possibility that the four of us could stand in the front row next to the Fairy Godmother, just so we could soak up all that goodness?”
“I wish you could. Up front, it’s just me, my folks & my girlfriend.”
“And your girlfriend…”
“Yeah, I’m sorry.”
“Okay, thanks, bye!” Twilight said as she immediately closed the door with Flash still speaking. “I think it’s time that Flashy Boo got himself a new girlfriend. And I need a love spell.” Braeburn took Twilight’s spell book & threw it to her who caught it efficiently.
“All right. It says that we still need one tear & I never cry.” Twilight said, keeping the book on the kitchen table & almost finishing the spell. Along with her is her gang.
“Let’s just chop up some onions.” Braeburn suggested.
“No! It says that we need one tear of human sadness. This love potion gets the best reviews so we have to follow it exactly!” Twilight said.
“A tear is a tear!” Soarin complained.
“That's not true, Soarin. They both have antibodies & enzymes but an emotional tear has more protein taste” Rarity explained.
Rainbow Dash opened the door to the kitchen & said “There you are!” before joining them. “I was looking for you! You know, all the girls want you to do their hair.”
Twilight immediately placed a napkin on her book & smiled nervously at her.
“What are you guys making?” Rainbow asked, looking at the batter in the bowl.
“Oh, nothing special, just cookies… No, No, No, No, No!” Twilight said as Rainbow took a little in her finger & licked it. Everybody was staring at Rainbow.
“What? I’m not gonna double dip!” Rainbow protested.
“You don’t feel… anything?” Rarity asked curiously.
“Yeah, like we might be missing something…?” Twilight added.
Soarin moved towards Rainbow & said “Hey there…!”
Rainbow just stared at him like he was crazy. Then she looked at Twilight & said “Could use some chips…”
“Chips?” Soarin curiously asked as Rainbow made her way to the fridge. Twilight & Rarity heaved a large sigh.
“And those are?” Twilight asked, regaining her posture.
“Chocolate chips! Just, the most important ingredient.” Rainbow said as she placed the bowl of chocolate chips on the counter. “Wait… did your mom ever made you guys like, chocolate chip cookies? Like when you're feeling sad & they're fresh from the oven with big glass of milk & she just makes you laugh & puts everything into perspective &...”
Twilight & gang just looked at Rainbow as she went on explaining the heartwarming memories & Rainbow suddenly noticed that.
“Why are you all looking at me like that?” Rainbow asked, feeling awkward.
“We just don't get that from where we come from…” Twilight said, sadly.
“Yeah, I know, I just, you know, I thought, even villains love their kids…”
Twilight & Rarity looked at Rainbow sadly, at which Rainbow felt really bad for them. She looked at the boys, who had the similar expression on their faces.
“How awful…” Rainbow said, as she touched Twilight’s hand. Rainbow couldn't help but let a tear escape from her eye. Twilight looked at Rainbow cautiously & took the tear from the rainbow haired girl & immediately put it into the batter.
“Yeah, well, big bummer. But we have to get these into the oven. So thank you so much for coming by. Have a really really great night & see you tomorrow!” Twilight said as she immediately recovered from the emotional moment & escorted a confused Rainbow Dash to the kitchen door.
“Uh, bye!” Rainbow said as she went.
“Okay! Boys, cookie sheets! Rarity, oven!” Twilight said as her plan came to a near completion.
It’s a new day at Equestria. Flash & Audrey made their way to their school lockers. On the way, they saw the girls at the bench, sitting & laughing about something. They even had gorgeous long hair. Sunset kept on looking at the girls while Flash paid no attention to them.
Twilight made her way to her locker, keeping an eye on Sunset when the girls sitting on the bench greeted Twilight happily. Twilight just smiled & waved back. She opened her locker & searched for her books.
Soarin came near her & asked “Are you feeling kinda weird about this? And it's not so bad here, y’know.”
“You insane?! Long live evil!! You're mean! You're trouble! You're bad news! Snap out of it!” Twilight said, reminding him about the important mission.
“Thanks, Twilight. I needed that!” Soarin chuckles & leaves Twilight to her locker.
Sunset moved towards Flash & asked “Do you actually believe in them?”
Soarin moved towards the group of girls that were sitting & said "Well, hello! The name’s Soarin. You all are are going to the tourney game tonight?”
The girls mass answered “Yeah!”
“Observe me. I’ll make the goals in the tourney game tonight!”
“She did it to Apple Bloom’s hair too! Fairy Godmother is not happy about it!” Sunset complained to Flash.
“What’s the harm in that?” Flash asked.
“It's villainous magic! Sure, it starts with the hair. Next thing you know, it's the lips & the legs & clothes & then everybody will look good, then, where will I be?”
“Uh, listen, Sunset…”
“I will see you at the game after my dress fitting for the Coronation, okay?”
“Uh, okay!”
“Bye, Flashy Boo!” And with a peck on his cheek, Sunset goes away.
“Hey Flashy Boo!” Twilight calls, mockingly.
“Hey!” Flash replied.
“Uh, I just made a batch of cookies, double chocolate chips, do you want one?” Twilight says, showing the packet of cookies.
“I, uh, I got a big game. I don't eat anything before the game. Thank you so so much! Thank you! Next time!”
“No! Yeah… I completely understand. ‘Be careful of treats offered by kids of villains’...”
“No no no no…”
“No, I’m sure every kid in Equestria knows that…”
“No, that's not it. No no no, I really gotta…”
“No, I get it! You're cautious. That's right. Oh well, more for me I guess…” Twilight said as she took a cookie from the packet & almost took a bite when Flash snatches it from her hand & quickly takes a bite.
“You know, not too toasty.”
Twilight looks behind her where Rarity & Braeburn were waiting for Twilight’s signal to come. “How are they?”
“Mm, they're great! They're amazing!” Flash chuckles. “They are, you know, chewy & you know is that walnuts? I love walnuts! I mean, uh, the double chocolate, uh, chocolate, chips. I’m sorry, um. A warm, soft. They're sweet. Twilight, have you always had those golden flecks in your eyes?”
Twilight immediately takes the cookie from his hand, knowing that the spell did its trick on him. Soarin goes behind Flash & asks “How are you feeling, bro?”
“I feel, I feel, I feel like, like singing your name!” Flash said, as he prepared to sing Twilight's name. “Twilight!” Was all he managed to say as Twilight shut his mouth with her hand.
Soarin grabbed hold of the packet of cookies & gasped in surprise.
Tourney game is full-on. Cheerleaders, lots of them, were cheering at the top of their voices, saying “Ohayohay!”
The commentary was being given. “This is a nailbiter, folks. There's 47 seconds left on the clock. We're all tied up. The Shadowbolts, two. The Wondercolts, two. What a game between Equestria's fiercest rivals.”
“Get 'em, Trender!” Soarin called out to his fellow teammate.
“Thanks, Soarin.” Trender replied before making his way to the field.
“The teams get into their huddles and take up positions along the kill zone.The Dragoneers have been laying down a withering hail of fire.”
“You're up.” The coach told Soarin.
“And now a substitution…”
“Coach, how about my buddy here?” Soarin asked about Braeburn.
“Oh, no. Not so sure about that.” The coach replied disapprovingly.
“Coach, he's been practicing!”
“Soarin…”
“And you said yourself a team is
“Soarin, I'm not that good.” Braeburn tried to convince his friend.
“Well, he's kind of like my brain.” Soarin completed.
The coach thought for a little while & then called out to someone. “Come here!” Then he looked at Braeburn & handed him the tourney stick & said “You heard him. Get out there!”
“Don't worry, bro. I got your back.” Soarin reassures his buddy.
“How about my front?” Braeburn asks.
“Pfft. Get out there!” Soarin pushes.
The cheerleaders & the students kept on cheering loudly.
“He's bringing that hothead Soarin in from the Isle of the Wicked and that little guy Braeburn can barely hold a shield. When they break from their huddles, this is gonna be a big moment here. And the tipoff is ready.”
The whistle is blown & the game begins.
“Here we go. Long pass goes to Soarin. Soarin dishes off to Prince Flash .”
They play very fiercely. And put each other down.
“Nice little block by Braeburn. He does a little dancing jig in his opponent's face. And now Braeburn gets the ball back. Here comes Soarin! Soarin, hurdling maneuver at midfield.”
Soarin approaches the kill zone, fighting against the opponent's team & easily tackling the balls being shooted by the shooter.
“Soarin makes a nice pass to Prince Flash through the kill zone.”
While passing, Soarin forgot to check for opponents. Flash yells “Soarin!” But Trender successfully blocks the attack.
“Big block by Trender! Prince Flash moves over wide, gives it back to Soarin. He's in the clear! Shot! Oh, what a save by Feather, the Shadowbolts' goalkeeper!”
Soarin hits the ball towards the net, but their goalkeeper blocked the goal.
“Come on! All right, all right, let's do it!” Flash, Trender, Soarin & the other members came together.
“Come on, guys! Come on, hustle, hustle!” The coach said, witnessing the failure.
“23 seconds left. You could cut the tension with a sword. The long ball is played into Soarin. Soarin, great jump, great leap. And a great move by Soarin. Big block from Trender. Soarin dishes off to Prince Flash. And then Braeburn with a big block, goes down. Soarin through the kill zone, picks up Braeburn. Oh, he's being hammered by Dragon Fire. Still, going on. Soarin, hurdling maneuver at midfield. He's in the clear. The ball goes back to Soarin.”
Braeburn calls out “Hey, Soarin!”
“Braeburn?”
“Go up!”
“Flash!” Soarin calls out to him as he passes the ball to him.
“He passes to Prince Flash. He scores! Prince Flash has won it! What an unselfish play by Soarin! What a team! Incredible! And it's the new guys, Soarin and Braeburn, who set up the Prince for the win here. What a victory! An absolutely wonderful end to one of the best games ever. Here they come, folks. The winners of the first tourn…”
Lots of cheers were heard from the crowd as their team won. Twilight in the crowd, was covering her ears due to the cheers. Flash took away the mic from the commentator before he could finish his sentence.
“Excuse me. Excuse me. Can I have your attention, please?” Prince Flash asked. “There's something I'd like to say. Give me a ‘T’!”
“‘T’!” All said in unison.
“Give me a "W"!
“‘W’!”
“Give me an ‘I’!”
“‘I’!”
“What does that spell?”
“Twi!”
“Come on, I can't hear you!”
“Twi!”
“I love you, Twi! Did I mention that?”
Sunset looks at Flash in surprise. Never in her dreams had she thought that Flash would do that.
“Give me a beat! Whoo!”
“Uno, dos, tres, quatro!” Spike started, after which an uptempo music plays.
“Oh, my God! Cookie!” Rarity squealed towards Twilight.
“What was in that cookie?” Twilight asked, getting uncomfortable.
Did I mention that I'm in love with you?
And did I mention there's nothing I can do?
Flash starts wobbling his legs at the beat & moves slowly towards Twilight.
And did I happen to say I dream of you every day

Twilight just gives a weak smile at Flash, feeling very uncomfortable with the attention.

Flash is then thrown towards the bleachers & is then carried towards Twilight by the crowd.

Trumpets blow loudly & marks the end of the song. Flash hugs Twilight tightly. Everybody cheers loudly for them.
“I love you, Twilight! Did I mention that?” Flash says, still speaking on the microphone when Sunset comes up to him & snatches the microphone.
“Trender's my boyfriend now! And I'm going to the Coronation with him. So I don't need your pity date.” Sunset says as she kisses Trender.
Flash snatches the microphone from Sunset while she was still kissing her new boyfriend & asks “Twilight! Will you go to the coronation with me?”
Twilight sighs a little & says “Yes!”
“She said yes!”
Everybody cheered for both of them.
Soarin comes up & says “Let's go, Flash. The whole team's waiting for you.”
“Yeah. Bye.” Flash says as he joins Soarin.
“What a victory. What a day for the Wondercolts, finally winning back the trophy after so many years.”
“I feel really sorry for Sunset.” Twilight says to her bestie.
“You do?” Rarity asks.
“Yeah. I feel like if she were talented like you & she knew how to sew & knew beauty tips, that she wouldn't need a prince to make her feel better about herself.”
Rarity lets out a smile smile & says “I guess I am kind of talented.”
“You are definitely gifted.”
“Thanks, Twi.”
Soarin shouts “Yeah, yeah!”
“And there he is. Soarin, the most valuable player. How do you like that?”
Soarin is carried by his teammates & holds the Trophy. He shows the Trophy to Twilight & Rarity from the ground who are equally happy for him. Soarin high-fives some teammates & having a jolly good time. Twilight looks at Rarity who is looking down in sadness. Twilight taps Rarity to ask what happened but Rarity just shrugged off.
“Something must be going on… maybe it’s about Trender…” Twilight thinks & immediately shrugs off the thought.

Woo! Never thought I would add an extra 3000 words to one chapter! (Just thought 3000 words per chapter, guess I was wrong! ) It really is a long chapter! While I would love to update my chapter, please note that until 15th of November I won’t be able to start a new chapter. Rarity & Spike were in the Chemistry class along with the others. Rarity was searching for something in her bag. Spike noticed her do this & before he could raise any questions, Mr. Cranky spoke up.
“Looking for something?” Mr. Cranky asked Rarity.
Rarity saw that she was being observed & quickly shut her bag with a smile. Mr. Cranky kept his neutral expression & showed the magic mirror for which she was searching for. Rarity was at loss for words & her mouth was left hanging.
“Thank you, Trender. It’s gratifying to see that someone still respects the honor code.” Mr. Cranky said.
Rarity just glared at Trender. Trender just looked back at her with a proud expression.
“It will be my recommendation that you are expelled.” Mr. Cranky said to Rarity.
“Mr. Cranky, I..” Rarity started but Spike chimed in.
“But that isn’t fair. Obviously she was not cheating since she didn’t have that… whatever it is.” Spike defended.
“It’s called a Magic Mir…” Rarity started before Spike could cut her off again.
“You’re not helping. Stop. Maybe she needed another pencil.” Spike said.
“Actually, I was…”
“Really, don’t help. Please.”
“Please.” Both Rarity & Spike pleaded to their teacher.
“Well, if you can pass this test, I’ll return your property & let the matter drop.” Mr. Cranky answered.
Rarity tried to smile but it was awkward. Everything was awkward because of Trender. And he was still proud of his actions. Rarity again glared at Trender & she looked like she would go up & eat him if there were no witnesses around. Spike saw that happen & pulled Rarity out of her trance & motioned to her to complete her test.
Later, during recess, Spike was outside having his food & writing something. Rarity came outside & saw Spike. She quickly went up to him with her test paper & from behind came towards him. She kept her hands around his shoulder, showing him the test paper. She got B+ on her test.
“For the first time, it’s like I’m more than just a pretty face…” Rarity said, softly.
“A shocker, huh?” Spike commented. She left her test paper on his table & sat next to him.
“You were pretty great in there.”
“So were you.”
“I bet I can get an ‘A’ on the next test without the mirror.” Rarity said.
“Yeah. Well, maybe we can get together & we’ll hang out with…”
“Yeah, let’s get together.”
Twilight was searching for Rarity everywhere & finally found her near Spike. She marched angrily towards her. “There you are! I’ve been literally searching for you everywhere!”
“What’s wrong?” Rarity asked.
“Flash just asked me out on…” Twilight said, turned her face in disgust & completed her sentence. “A date!”
“Nice.” Spike said as he & Rarity shared a smile.
“We can handle this. Bye!” Rarity said as she took her leave to help her friend in distress.
“Bye!” Spike answered.
“You’re looking a little pale…” Rarity commented on examining Twilight closely.
“Yeah, of course!” Twilight said as she walked towards the dormitory.
“I can fix that with some gloss & some blush.” Rarity said as she followed Twilight.
“No!” Was Twilight’s answer.
“Twilight, I can use the…”
“No, no, no.”
At the dorms, Rarity was busy making Twilight ready for her date. She was applying blush on her.
“Okay. Easy on the blush! I don’t want to scare him away. Not that I could.” Twilight talked.
“Please. My mom taught me how to apply blush before I could talk. Always use upward strokes.” Rarity said as she finished applying blush & then grabbed the lipstick.
“My mom was never really big on makeup tips. I never had a sister.” Twilight said as Rarity applied the lipstick on her.
“Well, now you do. We’re gonna need all the family we can get if we don’t pull this off. My mother’s not a barrel of laughs when she doesn’t get her way. Just ask Cadence.” Rarity replied.
Twilight smiled a little before asking another question. “Are you afraid of her?”
“Sometimes. Are you afraid of your mom?”
“I just really want her to be proud of me.” Saying that, Twilight goes into deep thought. “She gets so angry with me when I disappoint her.” Breaking from the thought, she again says “And sh… Yeah, she’s my mom, so I know she loves me… In her own way…”
Rarity holds Twilight’s hand. “Moving on. Come see.” She led her to the large mirror in the room.
“Are we done?”
“Yeah.”
Twilight looks at herself in the mirror & lets out a strangled laugh. She holds the sides of her pullover close. “Oh.”
“I know.” Rarity giggles a little.
“I look…” Twilight starts but pauses.
“Say it.”
“Not hideous.”
“Not even close.”
They both giggle at each other. Rarity leaves Twilight to the mirror. A knock is heard on the door. Twilight goes & opens it up with a sigh. Behind the door was Flash in his Wondercolts pullover.
“For the first time, I understand the difference between pretty & beautiful.” Flash commented.
Indeed, Twilight was looking beautiful. She was wearing a lavender dress with a black pullover. Twilight just laughed a little at the comment.
“I hope you like bikes.” Flash said, showing a helmet in his hand.
Twilight just nodded & took the helmet in her hands. She shot one last glance at Rarity, a frustrated one, & made her way with Flash following her with a smile. Rarity just went towards the door & closed it with a smile on her face.
Flash & Twilight rode on the bike to the nearby forest. It was lush green & calm. Twilight smiled at the scenery & held Flash near her. Although she didn’t mean it, Flash was feeling happy at that act.
The walked on a long bridge with Twilight walking carefree when Flash proposed a question. “Tell me something about yourself that you’ve never told anyone.”
“Um…” Twilight went in deep thought. “My middle name is Dusk.”
“Dusk?”
“Yeah. Just my mom doing what she does best. Being really, really evil. Twilight Dusk…”
“Mine’s Fluoresce.”
“Fluoresce?”
“Yeah.”
“How Princely! Oh, that’s almost worse.”
“I mean, you know, it’s better than Dusk.”
“But it’s still not…”
“Watch your foot!” Flash said as they reached the end of the bridge & he was helping her to get down carefully. “Are you good?”
“Mm-hmm.” Twilight said as she kept her eyes shut as Flash told her to do so.
“You ready?”
“Mm-hmm.”
“Open.”
Twilight slowly opened her eyes & looked at the beauty in front of her. In the middle of greenery & a water stream was the place for their date. It was an old place, some parts of it broken. On its pillars, green moss was growing. It was marvellous with sunlight shining on it.
Twilight looked at the place & back at Flash with happiness. “Go on.” Flash said. Twilight slowly made her way to the wonderful place followed by Flash.
Twilight was busy eating the picnic set out. She was licking her fingers. Flash just laid down & watched her. “Is this your first time?” He asked.
“Mm…” Twilight swallowed the food inside her mouth & spoke “We don’t date much on the island. It’s more like… gang activity.”
Flash laughed a bit & said “Um, I meant, is this your first time eating a jelly donut?”
Twilight liked her fingers & asked “Is it bad?”
Flash sat down & went towards Twilight & cleaned the cream on her lips. “You got a… just a… I mean, yeah, do this.” Flash licks his lips.
Twilight copies him & asks “Is it gone?”
They both giggle. Twilight says “Can’t take me anywhere, I guess.”
“You know, I’ve done all the talking. Your turn. I really don’t know that much about you. Tell me something.”
Twilight just sighed openly, thinking of something to talk about. “Well, I’m 16. I’m an only child. And I’ve only ever lived in one place.”
“Me too. That… We have so much in common already.”
Twilight laughs & says “No. Trust me, we do not. And now you’re gonna be King.”
“Yeah.”
“What?”
“A Crown doesn’t make you a King.”
“Well, it kinda does.”
“No, it… your mom is the Mistress of Evil. And I’ve got the poster parents for goodness. But we’re not automatically like them. We get to choose what we’re gonna be. And right now, I can look into your eyes & I can tell that you’re not evil. I can see it.” Flash smiles at her before getting up & saying “Let’s go for a swim.”
“Hm? What? Uh… right now?”
“Yeah, right now.” Flash said as he undoes his buttons.
“I think I’m just gonna stay here.”
“No, no, no. Come here.” Flash held out his hand.
“I think I’m gonna stay behind & try a strawberry! I’ve literally never tried a strawberry before.” Twilight says as she takes a bite of the strawberry & likes the taste. Flash smiles at Twilight & says “Don’t eat all of them!”
“Okay!” Twilight said, busy eating a strawberry. She took two more & enjoyed the nature’s goodness.
Flash emerged from behind a huge rock, wearing his shorts. Twilight saw him & immediately went to the edge of the ground she was on. Flash waved at her.
“Are those little crowns on your shorts?” Twilight yelled.
Flash took a look at his shorts & replied “Maybe!”
Twilight waved at Flash & he waved back. He then roared & jumped into the lake. Seeing this, Twilight giggled. She turned around & started singing.

All though the song, Twilight was reminiscing her past in the Isle, her entry into Equestria, the time spent with Flash & the date. She then turned around & sat at the corner of the ground she was on. She then looked around the lake & saw that Flash wasn’t there.
“Flash?” Twilight called with uncertainty. “Flash?” Twilight stood up & looked around once more. “Flash!”
Receiving no reply, she hoped for the worst. She quickly jumped into the lake & tried to move in the water. Unfortunately for her, she can’t swim. She started splashing water around, trying to stay above water. Just then Flash emerged & scooped her. He then slowly went towards the picnic area & placed her on the ground. He shook his head, making water splash onto Twilight.
“Ugh! You scared me!” Twilight said, pushing Flash.
“You… you can’t swim?”
“No!”
“You live on an island!”
“Yeah, with a barrier around it! Remember? Ugh!”
“And you still tried to save me.”
“Yeah. And do you thank me? No! All I get is soaking wet!”
“And, uh, this fancy rock.” Flash said, showing a glittering rock. “It’s yours.” He said as he gave the rock to her. “Make a wish & throw it back in the lake.”
She just looks at him & throws the rock in the lake angrily. She stands up & moves away from him. Flash gets onto the dry ground & gets his pullover. He then puts it around her. She just sits down, minding her wet dress. Flash takes a towel, rubs himself a bit & sits on that towel. Twilight shivers a little. Flash just looks at her & toys with her hair. Twilight looks at Flash.
“Uh, Twilight… I told you that I loved you. What about you? Do you love me?”
Twilight looks into Flash’s eyes. Then she just turns her head away. “I don’t know what love feels like.” She says softly.
Flash takes her face into his hand & turns it towards him. “Maybe I can teach you.”
Twilight just looks at Flash’s eyes with uncertainty.
It’s a brand new day at Equestria Prep. The gang of four are in their classroom with Fairy Godmother Pear Butter.
“Children, excuse me.” Fairy Godmother said, approaching the students. “Um, as you know, uh, this Sunday is Family Day here at Equestria Prep. And because your parents can’t be here due to… uh, distance, we’ve arranged for a special treat.” She smiled & went back to the computer that was kept on the teacher’s desk. She switched it on, showing Nightmare Moon staring into the screen.
“I don’t see anything, nor do I hear.” She retreated to her seat. The parents of villains were on the screen & Fairy Godmother called the students.
“Is it… is it?” Nightmare Moon asked.
“Press enter.” King Sombra said.
“Can I please see a remote? Is this thing on? Ugh, it’s broken!” Nightmare Moon exclaimed.
“I hate electronic equip…” Nightmare Moon started. But as she said, the screen showed the Fairy Godmother & the others standing.
“Rarity! It’s mommy! Oh!” Chrysalis exclaimed to which Rarity waved. “Look how beautiful. Oh! You know what they say ‘The poison apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.’”
“Don’t you mean the weeds?” Nightmare Moon asked.
Gaia Everfree exclaimed “Ooh! Who’s the old bat?!”
“This is Fairy Godmother.” Twilight replied.
“Still doing tricks with eggplants?” Nightmare Moon asked.
“I turned a pumpkin into a beautiful carriage!” Fairy Godmother exclaimed.
“You really couldn’t give Fluttershy until one A.M.? I mean, really. What, the little hamsters had to be back on their little wheels?” Nightmare Moon asked mockingly to which her allies laughed.
“They were mice! They were not… They were mice.” Fairy Godmother said.
“They were not…” Twilight supported Fairy Godmother. “Thank you so much. Thank you.”
“They were mice!” Fairy Godmother said before going off to a side, away from the camera of the computer.
“Hi, Mom.” Twilight greeted her mother.
“Twilight! I m-m-miss you.” Nightmare Moon said.
“You children are never far from our thoughts!” King Sombra said.
“How long must Mommy wait to see you?” Nightmare Moon asked.
“Um, there’s a big Coronation coming up. I think sometime probably after… that.” Twilight replied.
“WHEN?” Nightmare Moon asked instantly.
“Friday! 10 A.M.”
“You sure I can’t see you before that? I don’t know what I’ll do if I don’t get my hands on that Magic Wan… You… You little nugget that I love so much!”
“Yes, I completely understand, Mother.”
“Braeburn, is that a dog?” Gaia asked. “Oh yes, yes, baby, I do understand. It would make the perfect size for earmuffs!”
“He’s the perfect size for a pet! This dog loves me & I love him! And FYI, your dog is stuffed! SO give it a rest!” Braeburn yelled at his mom.
“Oh-ho! Burn!” King Sombra mocked Gaia.
“Oh, why don’t you go & sell a toaster, you two-bit salesman!” Gaia snapped back.
“People who talk to stuffed animals shouldn’t throw stones!”
“Oh, well, people who sell toasters mustn’t use mixed metaphors!”
“Enough!” Soarin said as he disconnected the call.
“I’m so sorry.” Fairy Godmother said.
“Thank you for the special treat.” Twilight said.
“Of course.”
Twilight turned around, picked up her bag & made her way out, followed by her gang doing the same.
“Twi?” Rarity called out. “What do you think our parents are gonna do to us if we don’t pull this off?”
“I think they’ll be quite disappointed in us, but ultimately, proud of us for doing our best.” Twilight replied.
“Really?” Braeburn asked.
“No, I think we’re definitely goners.” Twilight said before moving on.
They all go to Soarin & Braeburn’s dormitory & discuss their future plan.
“Okay, we all know what this looks like. So it’ll be up on the dais under the Draconequus’ spell jar, & we’ll be coming in from here. I will be in the very front. You all will be up in the balcony.” Twilight said as she explained the things going to happen in the Coronation.
“Okay…” Rarity replied.
“Braeburn?” Twilight called.
“Okay, so I’ll find our Limo, so we can break the barrier, & uh, get back on the island with the wand.” Braeburn answered.
“Perfect. Rarity?” Twilight called to her bestie.
“Yeah?” Rarity answered.
“You will use this to take out the driver.” Twilight said as she showed a perfume bottle which was filled with Twilight’s potion. “Two sprays & he’ll be out like a light.”
“Okay.”
They all looked at each other, feeling awkward. Braeburn & Soarin went towards their beds, Twilight sat down on a chair & started reading her spell book. Rarity noticed what she was reading & said “Twi? You want to break Flash’s love spell?”
“Yeah.” Twilight replied. Then she clarified “You know, for after. I don’t… I’ve just been thinking, you know, when the villains finally do invade Equestria, & begin to loot & kick everyone out of their castles & imprison their leaders & destroy all that is good & beautiful, Flash still being in love with me just seems a little extra… cruel.”
Twilight couldn’t face the truth any longer. She closed her book & made her way out.
“Twi?” Rarity called after her but Twilight was already out of earshot.
That night, none of them could sleep in peace. Soarin got up from his bed & saw the trophy, the same trophy they had won during the Tourney Tournament.
Braeburn tossed around in his bed, not being able to sleep. He saw Winona & caressed her.
Rarity opened her drawer & took out her Chemistry paper in which she got a B+.
Twilight was in the kitchen, mixing the batter to make a cookie for breaking the love-spell she had cast on Flash. She started to sing as she mixed the batter.
A million thoughts, In my head.
Should I let my heart, Keep listenin’?
I know it’s time, To say good-bye.
So hard to let go!
She cried at the last line & her tear fell into the batter. She sniffed & then closed the spell book.
