Alexander POV

6 Years later

I finished helping my mother with prepping our house for fathers meeting with all the elders. Apparently it is to discuss who will take my fathers place once he passes on. Or when he chooses to step down. I was at first excited, cause I thought I wanted to be the next leader of the conclave. But I found out how difficult it would be. I would have to try and balance all of the growing tension that we humans have against our "Beloved" benefactors, ponies. Sadly over the years since our people first came here especially. When the ponies grow increasingly debauch and gluttonous. They have been causing more and more of my people to grow angry, tired and disgusted, that if this continues or some major calamity fall on us cause by them. It would be a revolution....no a slaughtering.

I sighed as I finished laying down the cloth mats for the elders to sit on and stared upstairs. Today is my baby brothers first day at school. Funny how these "Equestrians" fancy themselves as the intellectual superiors. When we invented their little steam engine, their clocks, hell even there ability to make magical electricity. We helped them develop, but no in their eyes we are nothing but a lowly workforce or breeding stock.

"Alexander?" My mothers voice shook me from my thoughts.

"Yea mom?"

"Can you go get your sister and brother." She smiled warmly. " Your all going to be late if you don't hurry." Confused, I looked at our clock to see. That it was almost time for school and in abit of panic I shot up the stairs towards my siblings room.

I threw open the door to my sisters room which startled her. She jumped a few feet up from the ground and turned to regard me with a scowl. She was about ready to yell something but couldn't as I cut her off.

"No time! we're gonna be late so grab you stuff and lets go." I charged back down the hallway towards my baby brothers room. But when I opened the door I found it empty. I quickly scanned the room then left moving quickly down the hallway again. As i marched I saw my sister Selene, she just finished getting her bag and fixing up her hair and started to close her door. She heard my footsteps and turned to regard me.

"Next time knock." I waved my hand at her.

"Yea, yea, I will but right now do you know where Tidus is?" She looked at me for a brief second before pondering the question.

"I think he snuck downstairs into dads library again." I sighed as I should have known he would do that. My brother loves to read and learn anything new or fascinating. I mean when he first learned to read at the age of four, he would sneak down to the library to read dad's books. Surprised all of us especially with how quiet and shy he is. I mean my friend came by to see if I wanted to join him and his father on a hunt for fresh meat. He brought his family's dog on the visit. But my brother was scared by the dogs barking and well playful behavior.

I slowly walked back down the stairs and turned left into a hallway that lead. To my fathers personal study. Only good thing theses ponies ever did was atleast allow us to make our own homes. As I continued walking I saw the studies door slightly open, outstretching a hand I was about to open it when I soon heard voices inside.

"Tidus..Why are you down here son?" My fathers voice asked in amusement.

"I'm sorry da...Its just I found these books that piqued my interests." I internally groaned at the high pitched child voice. That was my brother of course always curious about everything. My father laugh boomed and I heard him move closer to my brother. Using this distraction I walked towards the door crack and peaked inside to see my brother holding a mound of books.

"Son...." My father got down on one knee and looked at my brother. Who shuffled uncomfortably.

"I know you love learning all you can from my books. But you have to go to school." My brother looked down at his feet. "They'll be able to teach you alot more than just simply reading these books." My brothers face light up as he looked at my father. Who smiled warmly and ruffled his hair.

Smiling at the scene, I soon remembered why I came down here in the first place. Slowly tapping on the door and opening it I was rewarded with both my brother and father looking towards me.

“Ah, well looks like it’s time for you to go son.” Tidus pouted but before relenting and returning the book he was reading.

“Okay da.” My brother responded before like bolt of lightning shot straight out of the study. Me and dad laughed at how he acts. I soon chased after my sibling and also ensure I don’t end up late as well.

Unknown to me as I turned away from my father. He looked at the book my brother was reading and looked his desk where. A royal sealed letter from the solar queens emblem.

Darien POV

I smiled as my eldest turned towards the door. As he left though I felt exhale in exhaustion as I would now have to handle. The growing day to day assessments and problems from the council. I slowly turned to regard.....Her demands. I sadly didn’t want to read her wretched letter especially after she tried to force me to........breed with her and three of her high nobles.

I scowled in anger and revulsion every time I thought about those.......Demons. But as I stared at the letter the more I knew that if I didn’t read that letter. Then I would have to face the consequences of rejecting the queens request. So I gathered my courage and braced myself for what would be written on it.

Tearing off the wax seal that held the envelope closed. I pulled out the letter and began to read.

Dear Darien, Lord of the human council.

You must never forget who allows you humans and your children. To live in our borders and cities. So I am personally interested in your successor once you step down as elder chief. I know it has to be one of your children as it has always been. The Silvorin families duty to protect and preserve humanity. So I suggest that if you elect your son to the position then you are to send him. To the castle for a "Personal" agreement. If you pick your daughter then ensure she keeps the rest of the humans in line.

Sincerely, Celestia queen of equestria.

P.S: I understand that you recently had a younger son. I hope to learn more about the little runt.

I scowled at the note before crushing it and tossing it into one of the waste baskets next to my desk. I slumped down into the chair behind my desk and sulked. She wanted to have my son sleep with her and for what. To be told she is unable to conceive a child or whatever it is she wants.

I leaned back in my chair and stared out the window. I knew sadly that Alexander couldn't take my place, he doesn't like to give orders and is controlled by emotions. My daughter sadly would also be except from the duty. As she was never much a leader or organizer.

I sighed and remember the slightly insulting statement at the end about my youngest child.

"That cunt......" I growled low.

"How dare she call my son a runt! He is already reading heavily complex books and from what i have seen of her precious "ponies" is more intelligent." I said aloud growing louder in tone as I spoke.

"I mean he is already wanting to learn everything he can including from this.....this." I stopped my mini rant when I gazed down upon the book that Tidus was reading. My confusion soon turned to surprise as I found he was reading. The art of war by Sin Tzai of ancient kirrin, I looked at all the other books on the shelf's of my library and began looking for all the major books my son has read through. The weight of crowns, the equestrian decline, and the philosophical and scientific process.

I sulked into my chair speechless. For years I have tried to teach my two eldest children, hoping one of them would take up the mantle of leadership. But for all I tried and push them to read these books and listen to me and the elders. I didn't notice that my youngest was doing it of his own volition. I was stirred from my thoughts when my wife knocked on the door.

"My love, The council-men have arrived." I quickly straightened my desk, but left the books on the desk.

"Show them in..." My wife nodded and after a few minutes of waiting five men walked into my study. all looked at me then turned their attention to my desk and soon adopted. Faces of relief.

"Ah, has our young lord finally agreed to take his fathers mantle?" I looked at the eldest of the group and shook my head. He and the others were surprised and looked at each other before returning the glance.

"Your Daughter?" I shook my head again and they soon grew frantic.

"Then who...."

"My youngest son, Tidus..." I cut off the councilor before he could begin a tirade. He seemed shocked as did the others and I could tell what they wanted to say.

"Does...does t-this mean?" I sighed and looked out the window.

"I will see when he returns from school.....If he does then I will begin his lessons and expect you all to aid in them." I looked around at each man to be rewarded with a firm nod. I smiled and sighed.

"Excellent, now onto other matters.."

Tidus POV

1 Hour after leaving Silvorin house

I walked alongside my sister and brother. Who walked among-st the bustling crowds in the shadowed streets of our home. I looked up at the source of this overhanging shadow. A large platform of sorts that stretched out of the mountainside. When I was little I always wanted to know what that was and when I became four my father told me that. Our "benefactors" live up their and that they were called ponies. At first I was confused by what he meant by ponies until I saw a small group walking towards on the streets.

Ponies, they have weird faces. It juts out like a mini muzzle and with large eyes in the center of their heads. I laughed at them for their weird faces. They also had fur all about their bodies and had tails, with a pair of ears on top of their heads. Also their legs end with a weird foot with no toes on it!

But what surprised me most was that they were all girls and there seemed to be slight differences to each of them. Two had feathered wings that looked abit too small for them, another had a weird protrusion sticking out of her head. The other three however didn't have those extra bits on them and seemed almost normal.

Sadly I was too busy in my own little world to notice my brother stopping. End result, was me smashing into my brother and getting tossed backwards. I startled him and my sister before he scowled alittle and huffed. My sister however quickly got down to help me up and check me over for any bruises or cuts.

"Tidus! Are you okay? nothing hurts? no bruise? no.." She was cut off by my big brother.

"Selene, stop it if you keep babying him. he'll never grow tough." She scowled at him. He sighed and soon lifted me up onto my feet.

"I'm sorry Tidus." He said softly and dusted me off.

"I-i-its f-fine I wasn't p-paying attention." I brushed myself alongside my brother to remove any traces of dust. Once satisfied I looked up at him and smiled. He returned it before a large figure came into view behind him.

"~Well~Well~, what do we have here girls." My brother spun around to face the strangers.

Infront of us were three young ponies. That appeared to be in cadet like uniforms, they were smiling wickedly at my brother.

"Blackthorn.." My brother spat that name out like it was a foul taste to it.

"~Ah~ so you do remember me! That's good cause I might need you for when I have my first Heat." As she strides up to my brother and purred the last word. I saw my brother panic and look at the other two cadets who were beginning to circle us.

"Blackthorn was right! He is pretty good looking~."

"I'll say, he'll do perfectly."

I didn't like the tone of their voices it screamed something bad. I looked around and saw all the people looking at the mares. I could see varying degrees of expressions, surprise, disgust, and most of all anger. I pushed my way infront of my brother who looked surprised then worried for me. The mare though briefly adopted a face of surprise before it turned into a deep scowl.

“Who are you!?” She growled which caused me to shake abit in fear.

“T-Tidus a-a-and I want you t-to stop harassing my brother!” I spoke trying to build my courage up against this mare. She looked at me furiously. While my brother looked shocked at my demand. He was shaken from his surprise when she marched up to me seething in rage and murderous intent.

"What.Did.You.Say.To.Me?!" I stood my ground but began shaking more from the fear building up inside me.

"I-i s-s-said leave m-my brother alo..." *Whack!* I was sent sprawling onto the ground. The mare with her arm extended outwards with her fist clench. Every living soul in the square stopped and a collective gasp rang out. I remained on the ground, my face burning in anguish and my nose dripping with blood. I slowly looked up at my brother and sister to see them both in looks of surprise/anger. The mares friends however looked scared and were shaking, while casting glances at the swelling mob of humans gathering around them.

"Ha! Not so tough are you huh brat!" The mare soon stomped her hoof on my back. Making me whimper in pain. Before she could continue a blur shot at her and tore her down to the ground. I had trouble seeing because of the punch and kick, but when my sense slowly returned to me. I noticed my brother viciously beating the mare.

"YOU SICK FUCKING CUNT!!" He screamed at her as he continue punching her face and body. Over and over and over again, specks of blood launching skyward after every hit.

"H-h-hey! s-stop it.." One of the mares that was with Blackthorn croaked before my brother looked at her with murderous intent. "SHUT UP YOU FUCKING HORSE!" The mare shudder as did her friend and shrunk away only to be surround by other angry humans.

My sister ran to my brother quickly pulling him off the badly beaten mare. She soon began treating his hands as they were scrapped and bruised from his beat down. I managed to push myself up until another wave of weakness hit me. But before I could hit the ground a hand grabbed my shoulder and propped me up away from the ground. I look to see who caught me and was rewarded. With another kids face he was smiling at me, with dust covered cheeks, blackish brown hair and blue eyes. He seemed to be my age and was alittle taller than me. I noticed he had on a sash of a hunters apprentice, a colorful red and yellow slash. he had on a baggy pair of cargo pants and a t-shirt.

"Are you okay?" He asked me in worry as my sister and brother soon walked over to us.

"Y-yes, just abit dizzy"

"Well that's good! Oh my name is Jorihl Ravenskey." He smiled and helped me wrap my arm around his shoulder for support.

"I'm Tidus Silvorin, those two are my sister Selene and my brother Alexander." I replied back and pointed to my two siblings. My brother wrapped me in a hug and my sister checked my wounds. But as she did I noticed Jorihl blushing heavily while looking at my sister. After awhile I was patched up by my sister, while my brother and the grown ups of the group tossed the beaten mare to her friends and told the to get lost.

As they ran away. Jorihl lightly bumped my shoulder.

"Hey are you heading to the school building?" I nodded my head and he smiled brightly.

"That's great! That's where I'm going too." I smiled.

"Hey want to be my friend, Tidus?" I was surprised by his question. I never had anyone else close to as a friend besides my parents and siblings. I smiled warmly and looked at him.

"Sure! I'd love to be your friend." He returned the smile.

"Great lets go!" We soon moved forward quickly as during our conversation. My siblings went on alittle ahead of us. As we caught up with them and began talking to each other. My siblings were happy I made a friend, and Jorihl was happy my sister thanked him for helping me. His face grew bright red and I elbowed him in the ribs and laughed. He scowled but then returned it as we all made it to the school building and enter through its wooden double doors.

Darien POV

I sat in my study sipping on some tea as I went through. The planned out lessons and teachings we would give my son. I was soon interrupt by my study door being flung open by a Man my age quickly walking in. He was around my height 6'1, with dark brown hair and blue eyes. He had a full grown beard and a scar running down his cheek. He was also quite bulky, but one has to be when in the hunter profession. The man I knew well, his name was Rakhan Ravenskey.

He looked at me in silent worry. I only seen him this worried when the ponies guard almost discovered or secret stables for cockatrices. Funny how stupid those equines are thinking those creature turn you to stone. Ha! Its only light paralyzes and easily goes away after an hour. But this looked more serious.

Before I could ask or stand up to try and see what was wrong. He said one sentence that caused my heart to stop.

"Your young son was attacked by a pony......"
