Tidus POV

1 Hour and 25 Minutes, before Maria enters watch office.

I walked with Jorihl's arm around my shoulder explaining to me. How ridiculous my dreams or idea's sounded sometimes. But as we moved away from the girls, I cast a gaze toward Maria and see her flustered and saying something to my sister. I felt my cheek heat up and a light smile cross my face. Sadly I was too busy watching her that I didn't notice Jorihl had stopped talking and soon elbowed my side.

"So mate?" I looked at him.

"When are you finally gonna ask my sister out." I nearly doubled over. My cheeks flushed red and I began to sputter and babble trying to come up with a retort. only to be rewarded with him laughing hysterically.

"Oh lunar! that's funny I didn't know how much you liked my sister!" He continued laughing as I growled at him.

"Shut up! Besides i'm surprised no-one else has tried to snatch her up." Jorihl laughing began to calm down as he smiled and patted my shoulder.

"Nahhh, she only has eyes for you." I smiled and lightly punched him in the gut. Which earned me a playful chuckle as he smacked the back of my head. After which we both began moving again.

"Well now that, that's out of the way. What says we head by HQ for some rounds and training. I know some of the new cadets want to see their Black Phoenix commander." Jorihl patted my back after the last sentence which made me chuckle. As ever since I began helping make reforms and major decisions for most of humanity already. The watch was one of my most popular ones. As all of the human settlement districts now have a watch headquarters, though not the main one. Earned the respect and admiration of the people especially with the hybrids. Soon I was named Commander or General of the Watch, and earned a funny nickname from the people and children because of my uniforms color, Blackbird.

As That named swirled around in my head. People began to wave and shout out to Tidus.

"Blackbird!"
"Hail Tidus Blackbird!"
"Lunar blessing to the Commander!"
"Big brother Blackbird!"

Third Person POV

Tidus smiled and waved to all who shouted and waved to him. As he did Jorihl laughed heartily while patting Tidus back.

"Seems you grow more popular every day Tidus." Jorihl smugly spoke and was rewarded with Tidus scowling at him as they continued walking until they saw a young Hybrid boy ran up. He had tan skin and seemed to be around 12 years old. He also had a long curved horn in the middle of his forehead. As he ran closer to the pair, both men noticed that the boy was wearing the sliver and red uniform of a watch cadet.

As he reached the pair. He stopped short and gasped for breath before quickly standing at attention. This earned a few proud chuckles from some of the walking people who continued along their way. Tidus and Jorihl looked at each other before they too returned the salute to the young boy.

"Captain.....General...I..I..Have ..a...message...for you." As the boy gasped and wheezed he slowly lifted a note towards the two. Tidus grabbed the note from the boy, He and Jorihl soon began reading the note which stated. "General, Captain Alexander has requested your presence. Immediately, for meeting with a requested party." Tidus looked at Jorihl who soon returned the look and both nodded. Before they turned back to the young man.

"Cadet Richard Crimson!" Tidus stated as he stood tall and looked directly at the young man.

"S-Sir!" The boy Saluted.

"You are to accompany me and the Captain back to headquarters. Do you understand?!" Tidus stated and order in a loud and commanding tone.

"SIR! YES SIR!" The boy quickly stated back before he turned about face and lightly jogged towards. The watch HQ, with Tidus and Jorihl directly behind him covering the rear. But as they moved quickly towards the HQ. A mysterious hooded figure followed behind them, moving from building to building. The heavy cloak and hood concealed most of the body and features except for one part. A strand of light pink hair surrounded by dark navy blue hair, which was quickly brushed back up into the hood.

Soon the figure gave chase to the slowly disappearing figures of the three. It ran from alley to alley and managed to remain with the group as they fast paced towards HQ.

25 Minute Later

As the group managed to round the last corner. They came out to where a large and seemingly maintained storehouse with two banners of the watch flown along its side. As they made there way towards the buildings entranced. As they neared the doorway, Two guards stood at the doorway keeping watch. As the group neared them, one of the guards began shouting.

"Hey! you guys are not permitted to be in....this..areaaa." The guard spoke he and his comrade quickly and nervously snapped to attention and saluted Tidus.

"General! Please forgive me, I was unable to ascertain who yo." Before he could finish Tidus waved him down.

"It is quite alright trooper." As he said that both guards visibly relaxed.

"Now I want you two men to ensure this young lad makes it back to the orphanage safely. Am I understood?" Tidus asked the guards as he placed a hand on the young boys shoulder causing him to look at Tidus. In surprise and admiration, both men stood to attention and saluted Tidus.

"Sir! Yes sir!" Soon both guards walked the boy away from HQ. As they walked away the boy quickly turned and waved back towards Tidus and Joirhl.

Both men waved back before they turned back to face the door. Jorihl moved forward and pushed open the door revealing the whole berth of the room. Where congregated around different desks, table and areas. Were groups of men and women, all conversing or looking over documents. But at the sound of the door being opened nearly everyone. Turned to look in Tidus direction, As they all saw him. Many began to salute or scrambled too but were cut off when he raised his hand and gestured for them all to calm themselves and return to their duties.

As Tidus and Jorihl entered the building they slowly made their way to the stairs. As they march Tidus cast a look among his Watchmen. They were a mix of human and hybrid, the equipment varied between some of the watch many seemed to have the standard dark red and grey. Heavy trench coat with leather reinforcement with a reinforced iron helmets. With a studded truncheon and a small hand crossbow hanging from their hips. This seemed to make up most of the watchmen equipment. but a few simply had on the watch uniform and a dark grey cloth field cap, and seemed to holster a large crossbow. With a cartridge system loaded on the top and a clockwork like lever to load the next bolt. Finally was the watch members that didn't have any of the combat gear as the other and wore a simple red and light grey uniform. All of which held the standard two headed phoenix symbol. This final group seemed to have more of the female members of the watch instead of the men.

TIdus POV

I finished looking at the proud men and women of the watch. As I walked I couldn't help but swell up with pride as I knew that. My new ideas, philosophy, organization, and Revolutionary tech shall pave the way for a new age. An age in which my people shall prosper even if we still remain under equestria's thumb.

I nearly stooped as that thought lingered and as it did the more ridiculous it sounded. For even if we humans remember and honor that pact my forefather pledge to the ponies. It seems we grow closer and closer to it finally being broken and our obligation to these......Animals. looks to be coming closer and closer to reality.

I felt someone nudged my side, which shook me from my thoughts. As I looked toward Jorihl who smirked at me in feign innocence. I sighed and gestured to the stairs and began walking towards them.

As I slowly made my way up with Jorihl following up behind me. He quickly cleared his throat to gain my attention.

"Tidus.....Besides the new versions of those "flintlocks" you just made.." He quickly looked behind us as we climbed up the stairway. Ensuring no prying ears or eyes could see or here our walking discussion.

"What about the scouting mission you and your father sent out?" Jorihl whispered to me. I couldn't help but sigh as I knew that, this might have been the reason my brother requested my presence.

"Yes.....We have discovered a vast hidden mountain valley. Hidden from equestria and along the north edge of the badlands it is shielded by a wall of mountains. With only three narrow passageways." As I spoke Jorihls eyes widen in surprise.

"If the Pact shall end soon then we shall march our people to this fertile land." I spoke in confidence as we reached the commanders level of the headquarters. As we marched Jorihl seemed deep in thought. Until we reached a door with a phoenix symbol on it. He grabbed my shoulder and forced me to look at him.

"What of the secret, illegal estates that the nobles have in the everfree forest?" I turned to face my friend, who from seeing the darkening of my face and hardness of my eyes slightly backed away.

"We will slaughter them and free our people. We might also utilize their facilities to acquire some needed material in-case of the pacts destruction." Jorihl soon adopted a wicked smile as I told him the plan my father and I had conceived during private lessons.

After our little discussion I slowly opened the door only to be greeted by my brother who seemed to be pacing back and forth in my room. He had on a captains uniform with a dark red sash across his chest. He also had grown large and stood around 6'8, heavily muscled and with a deep scowl hidden by a black and white peppered beard. He seemed to be holding a parchment that held the Silvorin stamp on it.

"Oh bugger!" I quietly chided myself as my brother stopped his pacing and looked at us.

"AH! Brother so good of you to finally drop by.." I heard the anger in his tone and he seemed to be shaking. I slowly walked by him and over to my desk where I quietly took the spare uniform of the Watch general. In one of the draws, Slowly taking out the solid black jacket. I slung it over my body and pulled out the commanders hat (40K Style Commissar hat) and placed it on. Before taking a seat at the desk and looking at my brother gestured him to explain.

"Alexander....Brother why did you request this meeting?" I calmly spoke which seemed to cause him to grow more infuriated.

"YOU KNOW WHY!" I raised an eyebrow at his outburst before he slammed the parchment down on the desk.

"THIS IS THE REASON WHY!" I calmly looked down at the parchment to see. On the parchment was the details of the gala and the current security for my father and me. I sighed as I saw that I had personally requested my brother and three other watchmen to guard my father and sister, while I would have Jorihl be my only security.

"Is this really about the security problem?" My brother growled before slamming both hand upon the table.

"YES! Brother how could you simply write off your importance to not only our people.....But our family." He grew quiet and looked down at the table.

"Especially if the rumors of the pact are true." He whispered, I could only look down as I knew how hard this was for him. But this situation also had another motive one which I cannot allow him to know. I sighed before looking up at him.

"I'm sorry Alexander, I didn't mean to..." Before I could finished he grabbed the front of my shirt and forced me up to face him. " What made you think I couldn't protect you?!" I remained calm and let him hold me there for a few seconds while. Out of the corner of my eye I noticed Jorihl Surprised by his action and fumbling to secure his blackjack. Which I quickly signaled him to calm down.

As if noticing my gesture or Jorihl's sudden action. Alexander breathed out heavily.

"I'm sorry...I-I lost my temper." My brother tried to look away from me as he lowered me back down into the chair. I patted his back before smiling lightly.

"Its alright brother, I should have talked to you first before making such a decision." He smiled and patted my back. But as it seemed like most of the tension had died down the door to my office slammed open.

"G-general, Sir! T-t-there's a G-guard hereto see you." The watchmen spoke in a stuttered voice as my brother fixed him with an enraged stare. I quickly motioned for the man to bring up the guard and to my brother to calm down. After waiting three minutes. A Stallion Guard, who I knew as Shining Armor thanks to lord fancy pants introducing us. I smiled as this pony was the closest one I had to a friend of their race beside lord fancy pants, and lady Bluebelle. But the face he wore told me that his visit wasn't meant to be particularly friendly.

As he reached my desk he sighed and staring at me in a look of forgiveness. Produced a letter with the solar stamp of queen Celestia on it. Before I could speak, he cut me to the punch.

"Sir Tidus! By order of council of nobles and with approval from the solar queen. You are order to pledge your loyalty and life to the newest princess Sparkle. This pledge shall be done at the gala infront of the greater assembled nobility elect of equestria." As he finished his proclamation, I just sat there stunned by the demands of the council. But snapping me from my thoughts was my brothers hands slamming down on my desk. After our little scuffle he went behind me and now both hand were on the desk, while he looked at Armor in fury.

Armor, slightly shaking produced a golden envelope and presented towards me. As if on cue My sister and Maria soon stormed into the office where they saw Armor, Alexander and finally me in what appeared to be a triangle. Of regret, anger and finally surprise.

I sighed and stood up from my desk. Catching Alexander off guard and looking towards a stunned Jorihl, before turning towards Armor and looking him straight in the eyes.

"I shall....."
