Chapters Chapter 1
“Where did i put my book on binding enchantments” wondered Twilight to herself as she frantically searched high and low inside her home.
Twilight Sparkle had been taken under the princesses wing at a very young age. She showed magical abilities that no pony her age had even come close to. She was still a learning apprentice and studied when she was not running errands for the princess. She was not allowed to practice many magics inside the castle due to the destructive nature of some spells and summons, so she often practiced on the go.
“This is killing me!” grumbled Twilight. “This is one of the few spells i can practice inside and lost my book! How am i supposed to become great like the princess if i cant even remember where i put a simple book.” At that instant Twilight heard knocking at her rooms door.
“The princess would like to see you Ms. Twilight” said one of the elderly butlers with a smiling face.
“What for? Is it about the guard i put in a coma yesterday? I told her i didn't mean to, the spell just w..” she was cut short by the butler.
“She told me to retrieve you. She did not seem upset.”
“Okay, tell her I will be there right away.”
I wonder what she wants me for, Twilight thought, usually she only calls me when I am in trouble for something or she wants me to run some stupid errand.
“Well this book is beyond me. Maybe on my way back from the princesses I will stop by the royal library and see if they have a spell that will point me in the right direction” Twilight reasoned. “Maybe I will pick up a copy of the destructive spells dictionary so I will have it when I have to go on another errand for the princess.”
As she walked through the grand halls of the castle she noticed they did some redecorating in the main hall. The kitchen got a complete renovation and as twilight passed it her mouth started to water. She reluctantly continued down the hall. As she passed the castle armory she noticed some very nice armor in the window of the shop. This armory made all of the armor for the royal knights but the blacksmith that runs it also sells armor to whomever he can. Twilight decided to stop by and compliment the blacksmith on his work.
“That armor is really nice.” remarked Twilight as she looked over the armor. “But it costs so much. Why is that.”
“That is some of the best work I have ever done,” boasted the old smith with an ever growing smile. “Its the newest Full plate armor with extra padding on the inside for comfort. Its might be one of my last works. You see I am retiring soon.”
“Its impressive that you did this alone at your age.... No offense.” Twilight quickly added.
“Actually I had a little help from a local girl. She seems interested in learning to smith so I have begun teaching her all I know. Shes a great help, especially at my old age, she tends to remember things I forget. She actually helped me make two suits and purchased one herself.”
“Interesting she must be quite wealthy.” said Twilight.
“Actually she has been working for free. So I let her have the armor for next to nothing.”
“She seems like a very nice pony. I am glad to see you found an eager apprentice. I must get going though the princess is waiting, have a nice day!” she said while walking away.
“You to Twilight, say hello to the princess for me will ya?” yelled the blacksmith.
'He seems happy to have found a new apprentice with such a passion for armor, I wonder if she bought any weapons while she was there. It would only seems natural to buy one while you are buying armor of such caliber.' thought Twilight as she started off again towards the princesses throne room.
As twilight walked along she wondered what the princess wanted. She has been acting so strange lately. I wonder what could be bothering her so much. There hasn't even been any crime in the last week, so one would think she would be calmer and more relaxed.
Twilight approached the large gem laden doors that lead to the throne room. The guards around the door seemed to be at a heightened state of security and they carefully watched Twilights every move as she came walking towards the door.
“Hello Twilight” the guard said in a deep voice.
“Hello may I get through. The princess called me here and I don't want to keep her waiting any longer than I have to.”
“Yes you may get through, but I will need you to prove that is actually you Twilight. I am sorry but the princess told us that only those who know the royal rune are to enter and that is final. She seemed kind of stressed lately.”, the guard explained.
“Right. I haven't had to use the royal rune in so long. Let me see if I remember how to cast it.” Twilight reared up on her back legs and her horn began to glow. An engraving stated to appear on the door and soon made a clear picture. “Ursa major and Ursa minor guarding the moon, I believe that is just about how the royal rune looks right?”.
“Yes ma'am that is the royal rune if I have ever seen one, we will unlock the door for you.” The guards turned to the door and unlocked it. The door screeched and moaned as they slowly opened the door.
“Thank you gentlemen” Twilight bowed her head to the guards and walked through the door way into the throne room.
She looked glanced around the room but the princess was no were to be seen. She was not on her throne. “That's strange I wonder were the princess could be.” remarked Twilight to herself. In that moment the door slammed shut behind her. She whipped around in the blink of an eye. But no one was there. She heard the guards trying to pry open the door. “Guards please, help me.” Twilight screamed.
“For, you there is no help.”
“Who's the....” her words were cut short by a scream of pain as she felt something pierce her left flank. Twilight staggered and began to feel woozy. She turned, her vision blurred, she saw a familiar figure standing in front of her. “P-P-Princess!.......” she murmured as she fell to the ground. Twilight's world became ill-lighted and soon faded to pitch-black.

“I can make that for you no problem!” Pinkie said in an exited tone.
“Thank you Pinkie the royal chef's are all so busy today and we need someone to help make food for the princesses guest that are coming later” explained a simple looking, small framed courier.
“I can't wait until the princess and her friends get a taste of my awesome cooking! OH MY GOSH! Do you think if its really good I could cook for the princess full time! That would be amazing, I would have royalty eating my cooking all the time!” Pinkie ranted
“I don't really know” the courier said shakily, “what if she doesn't like your cooking very much.”
“Oh no I never thought about that.” said Pinkie worriedly.
“Anyways I have more news to deliver I will see you around” the courier ran out the door of pinkies house and continued down the street out of sight.
“I never thought about the princess not liking my food........ No it will be fine, I will work super hard and make the best meal she has ever eaten!” Pinkie resolved. Wow. I can't believe that all of the royal chefs are so busy. The princess must be having a lot of friends over. Well I better get started dinner is in a few hours and I have a lot of cooking to do. I wouldn't like to keep the princess and her friends waiting.”
Pinkie is a pink, energetic pony with a great personality. She is persistent and nice and makes friends very easily. Many a pony found her actions to be completely strange. Pinkie seemed to celebrate any holiday, no matter how well known it is. She is also a great cook and is known throughout pony-ville as a fantastic chef.
'Alright lets get cooking', Pinkie thought. She walked over to her pantry and pulled out some large vegetables. He hooves moved like lightning as she washed and peeled the bushel of vegetables in no time flat. She reached for some carrots and garlic but they were no were to be seen.
“I coulda swore I stocked up on everything earlier today” she said double checking all the shelfs. “oh well I will just have to buy some more, easy as that.” And with that statement she grabbed her bag and some money and went on her way outside. She opened the door and took a big breath of the morning air. She noticed there was not a cloud in the sky and smiled as she walked down the road into the market district of town.
She trotted down the dirt road stopping to say good morning to her neighbors, the flowers, and the trees. Hopping along she noticed an old sign along the road, it read.
Big Sister's little shop
Of Wonderful Exciting
Items For Parties. ~Follow path.
It was strange, Pinkie knew for a fact that there was no shop over there. She walks down this road all the time and this sign was not there and looked to old to be just made. Ah ha! 'It must be a traveling shop', thought Pinkie, 'It probably wont be here long so I better go check it out right this instant'. So Pinkie turned and walked off the road and followed the path that seemed to have been made by a very heavy wagon rolling across the tall grass.
'I hope this store has a bunch of great party items, I really want my next bash to blow the others away.' Pinkies mind raced. 'I need streamers and ribbon and maybe I will buy gear so I can finish my party cannon! If my other little project gets finished my party cannon will far be out done. When I use that little device the party will go silent in awe.'
Pinkie continued down the path hoping she would reach the little shop soon. She looked all around her but she all she could see was forest as far as her eyes could see. 'Golly, I sure am far off the road', Pinkie worried,'I'm sure I didn't miss the shop'. Pinkie was determined to find the shop that seemed to elude her with every step.
The day was getting late and Pinkie refused to stop looking for the shop. She was still following the path in the grass that she started on but was wonder why it was so far away. Something had to press the grass down right? Pinkie knew it was to big for anypony to have made alone.
Pinkie sat down at the foot of a steep hill the path had gone over. 'If that shop is not over that hill I give up.' Pinkie thought in defeat. Pinkie stood up and clambered her way up the hill. She stood atop the hill and saw a sea of tree tops in front of her. Pinkie scanned the area but did not see any sign of any shop. Pinkies ears dropped in sadness. She began to turn around when out of the corner of her eye she saw the roof a small shop.
“HOORAY! I found the shop and its colored so brightly. This is so exciting it took me forever to get here. I hope it was worth it”.
Pinkie made her way down the side of the hill toward the shop. It was in a small clearing of trees which seemed to form almost a perfect circle around the shop. The building was small enough to be put on wheels but seemed unreasonable to push around. The front door was yellow like the rest of the house except the door handle and roof which both were scarlet red. Pinkie walked up to the door and grabbed the handle. The door screamed and creaked as she pushed it open. “Hello? Is anyone here?” she asked as she walked in. The room was black and the light from the door made shadows dance around the inside of the shop. Pinkie looked at the store in the dim light that door let in. There was nothing but a large counter with one stool. The walls were bare and white and there was a fine layer of dust and cobweb everywhere.
“This looks more like a bar than a party store.” Pinkie remarked. “There isn't even any pinatas.”
“ You are right there isn't anything in here there doesn't need to be anymore”, a loud voice boomed.
“ What do you mean? Isn't this a party shop you need things like streamers and stuff for it to be a party store.” Pinkie explained.
“Stupid girl there is no store. Just you and me, and there is about to be one less” the voice grew louder.
Pinkie was frightened by the voice and began to turn around to leave. But the door slammed shut and Pinkie jumped.
“W-w-who.......... are......... y-y-you”
“I am your reaper and your time has come”
Pinkie saw a shadowy figure move right in front of her. Pinkie tried to something, anything, but she was paralyzed by fear and her efforts were futile. The figure grabbed her and threw her into the ground. The figure's horn began to glow.
“L-L-Luna!”, Pinkie gasped as the dull light from the princess horn light up the dark room. Pinkie's vision started to twist and blur.
“Goodnight forever!!!”, Luna voice seemed to warp and bend around pinkies head. As Luna's horn light began to engulf the room. Pinkie slammed to the ground. Breathing heavily she tried to get and run but it was to late. Pinkie felt a snap of pain in head and she passed out.
“Hmm that took longer than I thought it would Luna”, said Celestia in a bothered tone. “I was just coming to do the job for you.”
“Well you didn't have to lure your target so far away, 'sister'”, retorted Luna, picking up the unconscious Pinkie.
“Well we have some more targets to take out, it is still early in the day”, Celestia said holding the door open for Luna. “I guess the boss really is going through with her plan.”
Luna walked out of the open door into the sunlight. “Ya I guess they finally agreed on something. I wonder what they did with the princesses though? I mean in their current state there is no way they could have taken them both down.”
It had been days since the disappearance of dozens of ponies in Ponyville. The Equestria Daily newspaper was abuzz with stories titled “Princesses apprentice not seen in days. Princess refuses to talk to anyone.”, and “A week without night, will the strike continue?”
Some ponies thought the end was nigh and world would burn. Some sought shelter while other ponies prayed for things to return to the way it used to be. Without proper leadership the ponies were thrown into complete chaos. Night had not come in a week and everypony was tired and aggravated.
Ponies were fighting in the street and the royal guard could not help contain the uprising. Pony-ville was tearing itself apart. Stores and homes were broken into and valuables stolen. After the second week ponies marched toward the princess castle and demanded she come out.
The guard told them that both princess had disappeared. But the ponies refused to believe that their great leaders would ever be taken from them. The ponies stormed the castle gates and began to destroy the only thing between them and sweet revenge.
===========================================================================
“Ha, look at those feeble ponies running around. They haven't had leadership for little over two weeks and they are driven to complete madness and anarchy. I love this plan o yours.” said the draconequus giddily.
“You are such an idiot Discord, you wouldn't have captured either of the princesses without me, The Great and Powerful Trixie!” The light blue unicorn barked.
“You are not that great and powerful you know. I’m, in a word, a god and you are nothing but a simple unicorn.” Said discord distastefully.
“What are you talking about! You don't have my brains you big dragon..... bird.... lion.... goat thing.... now that I think of it what in the world are you?”
“ WHAT!!! Had I been away so long nobody can remember what I am!..... Wait that's right you silly ponies were not alive when I first came and started my little world of chaos. I, you ill informed pony, am a draconequus and a proud one at that.” He politely informed the unicorn. “Hey could scratch my back? I just cant seem to reach this god forsaken spot.”
“Can you stay serious for one hour! If anypony catches on that we are behind the disappearances in the town we are in major trouble!” yelled Trixie angrily.
“Maybe for you but I am well and safe. I can teleport and make doubles of myself. My powers are nigh endless.” he chuckled.
“Both of you quiet down.” said princess Luna as she opened the door with authority. “We have a lot to talk about and not much time to talk about it. I can't hold the princesses forever my power does have limits. Now please take a seat around the table.” She gestured to a large round table in the middle of the room.
“Why are you still in that ridiculous get up Chrysalis?” asked Trixie.
“I hadn't noticed really. I rarely use my real form these days.” Her horn lights ablaze and a ring of green fire forms around her. A light slowly generates from from her horn until no one in the room can bear to look in her direction. The light slowly dies down and she is back in her original form. She is black like the other changelings and has holes in her wings and hoofs. “Now lets get down to business. We have captured two of the ponies that have had direct communications with the princess and would easily notice a fake princess take the throne. I can hold the princesses once I take the form of Celestia and win over the love of all those misguided ponies.”
“I am still questioning what we are trying to accomplish with all of this! What could I earn from going along with you and your lackey!?” Discord snarls as he points Trixie. “ Why in the world is she even here!? She is so weak and useless.”
“So help me Discord I will destroy you!” Trixie yelled at discord.
“BOTH OF YOU SHUT UP! Discord she is here because she has an amazing appeal to the other ponies in town. She is our fall back plan as well as the best planner in the room so she is just as important as you.” Chrysalis paused after that and the other two calmed down. “Now Discord you are more powerful when the world is in a state of chaos and I am more powerful when I feed off of love. Well after I send the most powerful warriors in Equestria away on some pointless mission you can swoop in and terrorize the town. When all the villagers are afraid and calling for me, Celestia, and my sister, Luna, I will absorb their love for me and feed off of their wonderful power. Trixie wants the elements of harmony and she wants the one and only unholy book. That's were we all come in and that's how we all make out. Any questions?”
“Did you say the unholy book? As in THE unholy book? The necronom...” Discords words were cut short by Trixie.
“Yes discord I want THAT book. Do not say its name. I heard it curses all who try to even affiliate with the book. But I am a powerful magic user like Twilight Sparkle. Me and my rival both have enough strength to wield the book and try to unlock its secrets before it takes our soul.” Trixie sternly answered Discord.
“I was just wondering. That is one of my favorite reads.” Discord told Trixie.
“WHAT?? How were you able to hold it without suffering any side effects?” Trixie gasped in amazement.
“All right that is enough small talk. I want everyone to get prepared and meet me outside Ponyville in exactly an hour me and my underling will be there waiting. Goodbye.” Chrysalis stretched her wings and walked towards the exit of the dim room. “Don't be late.” She pushes open the door and takes to the sky. She is quickly out of sight.
Trixie shot a scowling look at Discord. “We have to work together or this plan will never work, as much as I hate to say it. When this is all over and done with I am going to kill you.” Trixie got up and walked to the open door. “See you in an hour.” Trixie's horn glowed and she disappeared.
'Hmm' thought Discord, 'This well be quite the time. I can hardly wait.'
“PINKIE WAKE UP ALREADY!”
Pinkie snapped roughly back into consciousness in a daze her vision was blurred but she kept hearing the same thing repeated to her.
“PINKIE WAKE UP!”
“I-I am up.... at least I think I am....” Pinkie said stuttering still trying to get her head strait. “W-who is there?”
“So you survived. PERFECT! I am so happy, now I know I will survive as well.” A familiar voice said giddily to Pinkie.
“WHO ARE YOU?!” Pinkie yelled in wavering frightened voice.
“Oh how cute you scared half to death..... well I guess you were a lot closer to death than half. Still I have to admire your ability to be loud and obnoxious even when you are so weak.” The ever familiar voice said in a dry, morbid tone. “Well who do you think I am? You should recognize my voice even in your state of mind.”
“I.... I know it from somewhere... I...... just can't put my hoof on it.” Pinkie said as she continued to gather her mind.
“I am you. You must not listen to yourself talk much.”
Pinkie shuddered. It was her voice, but strangely different. It was missing something. It seemed lower in tone more serious than Pinkies voice...... more sad.
“I get stuck listening to you all the time and angers me.” The voice continued. “ I think you....”
Pinkie cutting the voice short. “STOP!” she screamed. At that moment her mind snapped into place and she rubbed her eyes. She tried to move but her body was still weak and seemed heavier than usual. She looked down to notice her lower body was covered in a thin layer of dirt. “What happened? I can't remember.”
“I remember.” The voice said.
“WHO ARE YOU! WERE ARE YOU! THERE IS NO PONY HERE BUT ME! WHY AM I HERE!” Pinkie started to enter a state of shock and panic and started to lose consciousness again. Suddenly a wave came over Pinkie her eyes went dull and she slumped over in the hole she was in. Pinkie's mane lost all volume and went flat against her fur and her eyes turned from a deep blue to a scarlet red.
“Are you still fighting me! Why even bother!”
“This is my body and I won't let you have it. You body thief give me back control!” Pinkie screamed.
“For your information my name is Pinku and I am you!.... well sort of you. I am the side of you that you don't show. You neglected your emotions and repressed them, and because of that I was formed. In simple terms I am your other personality.... the right personality.”
Pinkie stayed silent for a long time after that. Eventually Pinkie spoke up, “So your the one person in the world that stands against everything I stand for?”
“Yes and no. I share the same brain as you and know everything you know and some things you don't remember. I am all the memories and emotions that you thought you locked away and lost manifested into this form.” Pinku explained. “Right now I am in control of our body because you were weak and in a panic, frightened, vulnerable state. I don't plan on staying in control forever, at least not yet, your spirit is still stronger than mine. But eventually I will wear you down and smash you into pieces.”
“Your evil!” Pinkie barked at Pinku. “I don't care what you want. Your in my body and you are far from anyone I could ever get along with.” Pinkie made her best effort to take control of her body and she slowly changed back into the blue eyed frizzled hair pony everypony knew and loved. “I took my body back, Now leave and never return you evil pony.”
“Pinkie you idiot. I can't just leave I'm in your head. But I will back down for now. I will be back soon. When you are most vulnerable I will seize control.” Pinku said with a yawn. “You house two different people in one body now. Try not to get us killed.”
Pinkie starred blankly at her hoofs for a long time after Pinku went silent. 'I must have hit my head really hard..... either that or....... no I hit my head and soon I will be all better', Pinkie thought as she began to smile.
Pinkie wiggled her way from her shallow grave and stretched. “I must have been in there for a long time, I am all stiff and weak.” After a bit more stretching and a quick dust off she started to hop in a random direction. “I hope I find somepony soon.”
“Wake up Twilight, wake up.” the gray pony said nudging Twilight's motionless flank. “Don't be dead, please wake up.”
Twilight's ear began to twitch. She slowly began to get up and sit upright. She took her hoof and rubbed her eyes and her vision soon came to focus. She saw Derpy in front of her. She was just a few inches away from her face with a very concerned look on her face. Twilight stood up and Derpy's face lit up.
“YAY, YOUR NOT DEAD!” Derpy yelled hopping in glee.
“yea I'm not dead why would I be? What happened?” Twilight asked Derpy politely.
“Well I was on my way back from a special delivery to the castle and saw you laying on in the middle of the woods. I thought it was weird for you to take a nap in such a strange place so I came down to see if you were ok.” Derpy explained with a smile. “At first I thought you were dead but then you woke up so everything is better.”
“Oh okay. Thanks for your concern Derpy but I think I'm fine. The only thing that hurts is my flank but its not that bad. Could you take a look though? It might be some kind of bug or a big splinter.” Twilight turned her flank to show Derpy the spot were her flank stung. “So what is it?.”
Depry didn't say any thing at first. She opened her mail satchel and pulled out a first aid kit. “Don't worry twilight I can fix you. That hole looks pretty bad.” Derpy dropped the first aid kit, which looked like it had been dropped a lot. After picking it up she opened it and took out a poorly rolled bandage. “Don't worry Twilight I am a really good doctor.”
“Wait a hole?” Twilight turned to look at her flank the best she could. She noticed a lot of dry blood on her flank and back leg. “What happened to me? What could have....... wait you said it wasn't normal for ME to sleep in the woods. Have you seen others sleep in the middle of the woods before?”
“Ya I saw Pinkie Pie sleeping a little that way.” Derpy pointed towards a bunch of tightly grouped large trees. “She was just past those trees those trees last I saw her.”
'Why would Pinkie sleep in the woods?' Twilight wondered. 'Maybe its part of some holiday that I didn't know of or something like that'. “Okay Derpy just patch me up and you can be on your way.” Derpy walked over to twilight and began bandaging up Twilight's flank. Twilight winced in pain when Derpy applied rubbing alcohol to the wound. “Hey Derpy, why do you have a first aid kit when your on your mail route?”
“I bring it for when I crash into things. I am not very good at flying strait so I get beat up while I fly sometimes.” Derpy explained. “Sometimes I wonder why they even hired me.” Derpy packed up her things and threw them into her mailbag. “Okay twilight don't run around to much or it might open up again. It was nice to see you again.” Depry jumped up and started flying away. “You should visit Cloudsdale more often” the gray pegasus flew slowly out of view.
'Okay now that she is gone is should probably find Pinkie Pie. After that I have to find out what happened to me.' Twilight thought silently to herself as she walked toward the group of trees Derpy pointed out. Her walk was a bit more of a limp because of the wound on her flank and she cringed in pain whenever she to a step. 'I also have to visit Fluttershy after I find Pinkie Pie, She can hopefully fix my wound much faster than it could on its own.'
Twilight poked her head through the thick canopy of undergrowth to get a better look at sunlit clearing. She looked back and forth and could not see Pinkie, so she limped into the middle of the clearing and called out for Pinkie.
“PINKIE ARE YOU HERE!?” she yelled out searching for her friend. “PINKIE WERE ARE YOU!?”
“TWILIGHT!!” Pinkie screamed jumping with glee hopping towards her purple friend. “Twilight I'm so glad you are here! Your exactly the person I wanted to see.” As Pinkie giggled that sentence Twilight winced in pain. “Oh no, are you hurt Twilight? What happened?” Pinkie's face took on a look of concern as she searched her friend for wounds.
“Its okay Pinkie, I saw Derpy and she patched me up. But I think she missed with the bandages it hurts worst than it did before,” Twilight motioned her head to the side in witch the wound was, “could you check?”
“Okey-dokie no problem Twilight.” Pinkie walked over to the wound and stared at it for a long time. “Twilight she got the bandage half on and it kinda reopened, hold on I will fix it.”
Twilight began to yell no at Pinkie but it was to late. Pinkie grabbed the bandage and ripped it off. Twilight screamed louder than anypony had ever screamed before. The birds in the surrounding trees flew away in droves from the screaming pony.
Pinkie was taken aback by Twilight's loud scream “S-s-sorry Twilight! I will fix it.”
“Pinkie,” Twilight said in calm voice “Please never do that again.”
“I SAID I was sorry.” Pinkie put the bandage back on with the greatest of ease. “Any way, were did this come from?”
“I don't remember Pinkie. I have been wracking my brain but I just can remember what happened.” Twilight said staring at the ground. “All I know is it wasn't an accident...... why were you sleeping in the woods?” Twilight quickly changed the subject.
“I don't remember either. I am worried tho. I woke up in small hole in the ground with dirt on top of me.” Pinkie spoke in worried voice.
Twilight began to speak but was cut short by a distant voice.
“GIRLS?!”
“Girls I finally found you!” cried Rainbowdash, flying quickly to the girls. “Thank god you not dead or brainwashed. I am so happy to see you girls.”
“Dash is that you!” Pinkie Pie and Twilight yelled out simultaneously as they both hugged the sky blue pegasus. “Were are we Dash?” Pinkie asked tilting her head to the side.
“You girls are in the middle of Everfree forest..... but why are you girls in the middle of the Everfree forest?” Dash asked with a face of disbelief. “I thought you hated this forest Pinkie, and Twilight its way to dangerous for someone like you here.”
“I do. This place is so unnatural, everything happens on its own.” Pinkie answered. “But me and Twilight have no idea how we got here or what happened to us.”
“Speaking of what happened to us, how long have we been gone?” Twilight asked.
“You guys were gone for the better side of a week, and a lot has changed. I can explain as we walk.” Dash turned around and started walking away. Pinkie propped up Twilight and they followed Dash. “You guys missed a lot. You were some of the first ponies to disappear and after that a lot ponies got scared and turned to the princess for help. The princess sent guards to 'find' theses lost ponies but more and more kept disappearing. After that the town was attacked by Discord and his antics caused widespread panic and destruction. Soon the ponies slowly migrated towards the castle to be closer to the princess and it seemed to work. Ponies stopped disappearing and all the ponies praised the princess for her protection. But then things took a turn for the worst. The ponies were all seemingly brainwashed and blindly followed every whim of the princess. The pegasus ponies soon stopped visiting the other ponies because they wanted to stay free. Almost nobody is left in Ponyville and it is starting to fall apart. The only ponies that stayed behind were the free spirited ponies and the ponies that were able to resist being taken away or brainwashed. The princess, no matter how unbelievable, called for war upon pegasus ponies after we stopped visiting. Luna was soon to follow her in this act and all the pegasus were chased away to Cloudsdale.” Dash grinned after the last statement. “That's were me and my resistance come into play. We are trying to overthrow the princesses and unbrainwash all the ponies affected by this spell that they are under.”
“But why would the princess do this?” Twilight asked with a face of complete disbelief. “This all seems... fake Rainbowdash! Is this some sick joke?”
“I wish it was a jo...”
“I don't think this is very funny!” Pinkie cut in on Dash, almost dropping Twilight. “I am going to my home in Ponyville.”
“ARE YOU CRAZY!” Dash yelled. “You will get killed! I doubt they can brainwash you so they will just kill you! Discord won't let you live if he catches you. He hates us especially for, you know, sealing him away a second time!” Dash stared into Pinkie's eyes. Pinkie's scarlet eyes were staring back at Dash followed by her expressionless face.
“You said there was others, so I am going home to 'help' them with 'Discord' and the 'evil princesses'.” Pinkie's hair quickly went strait as she visibly grew more and more angry. “So get the hell out of my way before I make you!” Pinkie yelled pushing her face into Dash's. Dash took a step back with a shocked look on her face. As Pinkie walked passed her with a definite purpose. “Idiots.” Pinkie whispered under her breath as she walked away from the other two toward pony-ville.
“W-what was... that?” Dash asked taken completely off guard by Pinkies unnatural spite.
“I... don't....know.....” Twilight slowly spoke. “Pinkie is... Pinkie. I don't normally understand her but that was especially strange.”
“Oh well. Here Twilight put these boots on. They allow you to walk on clouds.” Rainbow reached into her satchel she was carrying. “Take my hoof, we need to get to Cloudsdale ASAP” Twilight took Rainbow's open hoof and they bolted into the sky, off toward Cloudsdale wasting no time.
Pinkie had been walking for the better side of an hour and was about to arrive at her destination of Ponyville. It was late and the sky was as black as the shadows. Ponyville looked a severely run down from the last time Pinkie had been there. The building looked dirty and the plant life was getting out of hand. The houses were dark, as if the town were dead and slowly disintegrating into time. There was a hushed feeling to the entire area, in and around the town nothing seemed to make a sound.
Pinku mumbled to herself as she stared at the ground. “I don't think Pinkie wants to acknowledge my existence. She is trying to repress me. Trying to suffocate me within her mind like a bad memory.” Pinku smiled and spoke in a loud, confident tone, “You won't get rid of me that easily Pinkie, I am part of you weather you want to be or not!” Pinku looked up from the ground an noticed she was right at the entrance to Ponyville. She looked around and saw an ax in the stump of a tree. She walked over to it and pulled it out of the sad, rotting stump. She looked at the blade of the ax. 'Hmm, it could use to be sharper but I guess it will do for now'. She grabbed some nearby rope that was just laying around and tied it to her flank, making a makeshift holster for the ax. After sliding the ax into place, she looked into town scanning for any signs of life.
Pinku walked through town as if nothing changed. Pinku took no notice to voices in the distance and the destroyed town around her. She walked in the middle of the street and passed straight through the center of town. In no time she could see her home at Cakes bakery just a few feet in front of her. Pinku walked up to the door and reached out to open it. Right before her hoof made it to the handle the door swung open violently and slammed into Pinku's face, forcing her to the ground.
Two hooded ponies slowly sauntered out of the building. The both pulled out small daggers from holsters on their flank pointed them at Pinku's throat. Pinku tried to move but something was paralyzing her. Pinku's vision started to blur and she was helpless as the hooded ponies advanced on her. Pinku's watched as the ponies daggers were soon inches from her throat. Right when she thought all hope was lost she saw a shining figure behind the hooded ponies. The glowing savior grabbed on the hooded ponies heads and slammed them into each other knocking them both out.
Pinku cursed in her mind as she felt Pinkie take over their body once again. The pink ponies hair bounced to life and curled upon itself and her eyes became their usual light blue, happy selves.
“Are you all right there sugar cube?” the shining figure said in a southern droll, extending her hoof out to Pinkie.
“APPLEJACK!!” Pinkie screamed as she grabbed Applejack's extended hoof. She pulled herself up happily and squeezed the armored pony. “I cant believe your here! I thought you would have gone to Cloudsdale with Rainbow and Twilight. I am so happy to see you.”
“Y'all okay? Why were ya just walkin around makin all that noise?” Applejack asked Pinkie. “If y'all met Rainbow already then she shoulda told ya that it ain't safe here.”
“Yeah I know about it all. I remember Rainbow telling me all about it.” Pinkie said still smiling at the orange pony.
“Y'all crazy, ya know that Pinkie. Listen ah haven't got the slightest idea why you're here but ah know we gotta move. We ain't safe here.” Applejack grabbed Pinkie and ran into the bakery. She closed the door behind them walked over to the far wall. She hovered her hoof over a picture on the wall and threw the framed art to the ground. Where the picture had once been was a small switch embedded in the wall. Applejack pushed the switch but nothing seemed to happen. She grunted in frustration and cursed at it under her breath. After a few second of hesitation she forcefully slammed her hoof into the button, her armor making a ear shattering clang. A small section of the wall to the right of Applejack cracked and shattered to the ground like glass.
“Whoops, that wasn't suppose to happen. Sorry Pinkie ah will fix that for ya latter. Now lets get moving.” Applejack motioned for Pinkie to follow her as she walked into the newly made hole in the wall. “Now why were ya just walkin around like ya never been told whats going on?”
“I don't know... I guess I kinda forgot why.” Pinkie said trying to convince herself that she was just spacing out and Pinku was still some sort of dream.
“ Pinkie......” Applejack shook her head. “ Outta all the ponies in Ponyville ya got the shortest attention span.” After glancing over Pinkie to make sure she was okay Applejack decided not to press Pinkie. “Were did ya get the ax?” Applejack asked Pinkie pointing at the dull bladed ax hoping to change the subject and cheer up her friend. “If your gonna keep around these parts ya shoulda thought ahead and got some protection like this here armor.” Applejack flaunted her unbelievably shiny armor.
“WOW!” Pinkie seemed to not have taken much notice to the armor until now. “Were did you get that! Its so shiny even in here, and it looks really expensive. Did you loot it when the city was in chaos?” Pinkie asked with suspicious stare.
“What! NO! Pinkie ya know me better than to steal.” Applejack looked a little offended. “No I helped the castle blacksmith make two pairs of this here armor. This was the last of the two to be made, and everypony knows that a blacksmiths last piece is his best piece.” Applejack had a shaky smile and a tear rolled down her face. “Yep... his last piece....”
“Oh no!” Pinkie gasped with a horrified look. “The old man passed away?”
“Not exactly. Ya see he was... was”, Applejack clenched her teeth and slammed her hoof onto the ground, her armor clanking again, “he was murdered by.... by that damned Discord. He caused the old mans spirit to snap like a twig with his stupid games. Right in the middle of town he tortured him. The old man's body just couldn't handle the stress.” Applejack slid the eye protector closed on her helmet to hide her tears. “After that, the princess herded all the ponies close by her castle to 'protect' them. Ah refused to go and joined up with E.P.F after ah saw what happened to the ponies that followed her lead.”
“Whats an E.P.F.” Pinkie asked tilting her head.
Applejack lifter her helmets visor and wiped the tears off of her face. “The E.P.F is the Earth Ponies for Freedom. We know the princess cast some sort of spell on all the ponies that ran to her after Discords repeated attacks on Ponyville. Ah think they are working together on this one but I don't understand what Discord could possibly gain by the princess brainwashing all of her subjects.”
“I don't quite understand all of this but all I need to know is who the enemy is.” Pinkie said reducing Applejack's explanation to meaning, Discord and princess are bad.
Applejack let out a big sigh, “That is the problem Pinkie. We don't quite know who the real enemy is. That's why ah didn't just strike down those ponies that were attacking ya. They coulda been old friends controlled by the princess. Well Pinkie we are almost through to our secret hideout. Are you ready to meet the E.P.F?” Applejack asked knowing it would peak Pinkies curiosity.
“YOU KNOW I AM! I hope I see a lot of familiar faces.” Pinkie yelled exited to see warm, familiar, loving faces after almost being killed.
At about the same time Pinkie had entered Ponyville Twilight and Rainbow Dash were just arriving at the entrance to Cloudsdale. The glistening pegasus city still looked sheik and clean as if nothing had changed in the world. The only visible difference that Twilight could see was that there were a lot more non pegasus ponies than usual. They all seemed to have half smiles on their face. Twilight knew it must be hard for ponies that are used to seeing green adjust to seeing nothing but white clouds and blue sky’s. Just birds, no other animals or plants... what a difference.
“So Rainbow, about how many ponies did you save from princesses brainwashing?” Twilight asked Rainbow as they flew up to the front gates to Cloudsdale. The gates opened with a glorious creek.
“Well we didn't exactly save anypony. You see, the princess moved really fast, much faster than the pegasus could react.” Rainbow said as Twilight followed her across the center of Cloudsdale. “We arrived just after most of the ponies feel under her spell. So we just took as many of the remaining ponies as we could and brought them here. Some ponies stayed to protect their homes and stuff, like the Apple family and a few other heavily rooted families.” Rainbow stopped in front of a large golden door. “This is the main hub of the rebellion against the princess. We are based here in the city hall but have smaller bases scattered across Equestria.” Rainbow Dash seemed almost to proud at this fact. “Did I mention that I am the leader?”
Rainbow knocked on the door 3 times in quick succession. A slightly different knock was returned. Rainbow stood staring at the door for three seconds before repeating her first knock. Twilight could hear a voice yell through the door at Rainbow Dash in an angry tone.
“REMEMBER YOUR KNOCK AT LEAST!” The deep booming voice struggled to carry through the door.
Rainbow shrugged and let out a sigh. “Ya whatever you know its me, just let us in you egghead.” She yelled back through the door.
“... Don't make fun of me.....” Said the voice through the door. The door being so thick, seemed to open like it weighed as much as a feather. A big pegasus made of almost nothing but muscles was standing in the door frame ready to jump whoever was there, but had tears rolling down his face. “.... Just go in you jerk...”
Rainbow walked up to the pegasus and punched him in the shoulder. “Cheer up you big idiot.” The stallion rubbed his eyes and looked at Rainbow. “Lets get this over with Roid Rage!” Rainbow yelled at the huge stallion.
“YEEAAAAHHH!!!” The pegasus bellowed while he stood up on his hind legs and flexed his huge muscles.
Twilight stared at the behemoth of pegasus in wonder and awe. She thought of a hundred different questions, but she asked one, acting on pure impulse. “Can you even fly with those!” Twilight pointed at the muscle bound pegasus’s wings, which looked way to small to support such a big frame. She put her hoof over her mouth hoping that he didn't take offense to the question she just asked.
The white pegasus began to tear up again. Rainbow quickly added. “Your muscles! How do you fly with all those muscles?” Rainbow sighed in relief as Roid Rage quickly cheered up. Without saying anything he turned around and ran to the into the other room.
“Wow, I have never seen such a touchy pegasus before.” Twilight was still dumbfounded. “Can he actually fly?” She turned to Rainbow asking quietly.
“Ya he can fly pretty far. Not exactly fast, but he never seems to get tired.” Rainbow Pointed to the doorway that Roid Rage had gone through. “Behind that door is our resistance force. Now they might be surprised to see you so don't get to mad if they attack you, they kinda don't trust non Pegasuses any more.” Rainbow and Twilight walked to the door. Rainbow flung open the door with authority and it slammed against the wall. Twilight and Rainbow Dash's mood quickly dropped when they saw what was behind the thick door.
Twilight stared in disbelief at what she saw in the room she had just entered. The room was upside down and empty. The door seemed to be a dangerous height away from either the ceiling or the floor. There was a large table on what is now the ceiling that seemed to stretch on for miles. The part of the table that Twilight could see reminded her of the big board meeting tables that she saw in the movies. The chairs around the table were missing and instead replaced with statues of ponies made out of what looked like rainbow marble. They were wearing smeared make-up and ridiculous get ups. The walls were flashing different colors and the ceiling, which was now the floor, seemed to made of ice.
“Umm... Twilight tell me you are seeing this.” Rainbow's jaw was almost hitting the floor and her eyes were wide open trying to comprehend all the things she was witnessing at once.
Twilight looked on into the room trying to find the end of it. “I was really hoping that I was going crazy.” Twilight could not bring herself to believe that what she was seeing was real. “I am sure that this is some sort of magic illusion.” Twilight's horn went alight and she tensed her body pointing her horn towards the room. “There all better.” Twilight was sure her magic would dissipate whatever illusion had been created. She looked up with a confident smile only to have her heart drop. I have been bested?, Twilight thought in confusion, Whoever did this is quite the unicorn.
“Why didn't it work?” Rainbow questioned Twilight. “I thought you were really good at this kind of stuff.” Rainbow stuck her hoof into the room but nothing seemed to change. “I think its real....” Rainbow took a step back and stared at the upside down room.
Twilight stuck her hoof in the room and wiggled it around. “It.... it is real that is for sure.” Twilight reached over and tapped the wall. When she touched the wall it flashed a blinding white causing Twilight to lose her balance in surprise. “RAINBOW STOP ME”, Twilight yelled looking back at Rainbow in despair.
Rainbow was at Twilight's side in no time grabbing her friend by the mane in her haste pulling back as hard as she could. “Don't worry Twilight I got you.” Twilight let out an ear shattering scream as they both fell safely back on the floor. “What did you do Twi? You coulda caused us both to fall right in!” Rainbow gave a scorning look at Twilight but it soon faded. “Are you okay?”
Twilight eyes had watered up, “You... pulled... my.... MANE! You couldn't have grabbed something ELSE!” Twilight stared at Rainbow with enraged eyes but her eyes quickly changed to gratitude. “Thanks for stopping me Rainbow... even if you did it by my mane.” Twilight hugged Rainbow in thanks and then turned back towards the room. “So... do we go in?”
“WHAT! I just saved you from it and you wanna go back!?” Rainbow was a little agitated by Twilight's curiosity. “We don't even know if its real or not.”
“I felt the wall and it was definitely solid. What ever all of that is, it is no illusion.” Twilight scratched her head. “What could have done all of this? This is... this isn't normal.”
As if on command a wind blew out of the room and past the ponies. The gentle breeze causing Twilight's and Rainbow's hair to ripple. It carried seemed to carry a smooth voice with it. Come, come inside, The voice whispered into the mares ears, all of your questions will be answered.
Rainbow looked at Twilight and shook her head. “I think we should just turn around, maybe somebody else knows what is going on.” Rainbow turned around an started walking away.
“You are right Rainbow, I think we need some help on this one.” Twilight followed Rainbow towards the door they had entered through.
With a thunderous boom a tornado like gust of wind bust out of the room carrying a familiar voice with it. Leaving so soon my little ponies, the wind spoke to them, don't be so rude. The wind circled the two ponies raising them into the air. Come on in the weathers FINE! The girls screamed as the wind dragged the ponies roughly through the open doorway. The door slammed shut as they smashed into the oversized meeting table, jarring the girls vision for a few seconds.
After shaking the stars that seemed to be swirling around her head Rainbow looked around the room they were now stuck in. The door that they had been throw through seemed hundreds of feet off the ground, or what at least what Rainbow believed to be the ground. Rainbow attempted to fly out of the room thinking it would be easy. After about five minutes of strait flying she noticed she came no closer to the ever distant door. She flew back to the table they had landed, “Hey Twilight....”, Rainbow noticed Twilight was still in a daze from the fall so she shook her conscious, “Twilight, is it just me, or this table we are sitting on seems much... bigger than before?”
Twilight looked at the table which seemed no less than 30 feet wide. The chairs around the table had also grown, but the statues sitting in them seemed to stay the same size. “No Rainbow... your right the table has definitely grown.” Twilight stood up and looked around the room. Everything in the room seemed to have grown except the statues, her, and Rainbow Dash. “Rainbow, was their other exits to this room?”
“Yes there was it was on the opposite side of.... the.... room.” Rainbow's words petered out as she went. “Were is the other side of the room!” Rainbow yelled in annoyance as she looked to were the wall should have been, just a few yards away. Instead the wall was no were to be seen. The room seemed to go on forever. The table and the walls just seemed to go on forever and ever but there were chairs all along the table and they all had different statues. “UUGGHH! I just wanna smash something!” In her frustration Rainbow ran to the nearest statue and smashed its it head off. The head fell onto the table leaving a clear crack in the wood were it landed.
“Rainbow what are you thinking!” Twilight yelled as she looked at the now headless statue. “You have no idea what that could have done!” Twilight walked over to the head and using her magic she put all the pieces were suppose to be and fixed it good as new. “This place is foreign to us and anything could do anything I mean the door just forced us in here when we opened it and didn't enter.” Rainbow looked at Twilight with a slight confused look. Twilight thought for a second and clapped her hoofs together, “Here think of this. If we opened the door and it forced us in, what do you think a statue will do if we break it?”
“Nothing apparently.” Rainbow sneered as she punched the statue. “See look its not like its alive. Its a statue a plain old statue... in a dress that even I would call tacky. In fact there all plain statues of ponies and griffons.”
Twilight walked over to the statue next to Rainbow and stared at it. “Hey Rainbow look.” Twilight pointed at the statue she was staring at. “Isn't this Grannie Smith?”
Rainbow looked over the statue. “Wow! Your right. Its really good too. It looks just like her, I guess I didn't recognize her without her walker.... and that stripped suit she is wearing.”
“Who would make a statue of Grannie Smith?” Twilight pondered. “And what is with this suit?” Twilight looked around at the other statues in shock. “Twist... Bon-bon.... Lyra.... Mr. and Mrs. Cake... and the Wonderbolts?” Twilight looked at Rainbow completely dumbfounded. “Who would make statues of all of them? There are even more in the other seats, and they just keep going on and on like the table. Why?”
Rainbow looked straight at the Wonderbolt statues with glee. “Well of course someone would make statues of the Wonderbolts Their AWSOME!!!” Rainbow dashed over to the statues and stared at them in awe. “They are beautiful.” Rainbow eyes began to tear up in happiness.
“Rainbow I know you think that those statues are great and all but this is getting a bit... creepy.” Twilight stood up and pointed to the seemingly endless table. “You said there was an exit over there. So its is our best chance to get out of here. We should get moving.” Twilight started to move but Rainbow seemed her no mind. “Come on you,” Twilight said as she grabbed Rainbow and dragged her.
“Come on a few more minuets please Twi.” Rainbow pleaded. After no response Rainbow stood up and walked with Twilight. “Buzz kill.”
Applejack stopped in front of a nice and new wooden door. The wood was bright even in the dark of the cramped cave. Light was leaking from under the door and there was no handle on the door which Pinkie found strange. Applejack just stood and seemed to be staring beyond the door. A smile appeared on Applejack's face and she closed her eyes. After a few minutes Pinkie coughed to get Applejack's attention.
“Huh? Oh sorry sugar I was just.... thinking.” Applejack explained to Pinkie as she rubbed her head and smiled awkwardly.
“Bout what Applejack?” Pinkie asked with a smile. “I saw you smiling there.” Pinkie put her face right next to Applejack and whisper to her, “Is it some lucky stallion?”
“Uh, umm, no, what?!” Applejack was taken aback by Pinkies question. “Sorry to disappoint but it ain't no stallion.”
Pinkie giggled at her friends surprised stuttering. “So its some lucky mare?” Pinkie giggled.
Applejack punched Pinkie on the arm. “Aw shut it.” Applejack raised her hoof to the door. “Y'all ready to meet who we got?”
“You bet! Get on with it already!” Pinkie jumped up and down in anticipation of the door opening and her friends waiting for her.
Applejack chuckled and waved Pinkie to sit with no avail. “Alright, alright.” Applejack slammed her fist against the door twice. There were muffled voices on the other side and the sound of hoofs scrambling across the ground. The door clicked as the latch was sprung and the door began to slowly open.
Pinkie Pie jumped into the opening door slamming it open causing the pony who opened to slam to the ground. Pinkie, wasting no time, lept onto the pony and hugged him. “IM SO HAPPY TO SEE YOU BIG MAC!” Pinkie yelled as she squeezed the life out of him. “I MISSED YOU!”
Big Mac had no problem getting the much smaller Pinkie Pie off of him. “Yep, I missed you to Pinkie.” Big Mac seemed relieved that it was just Pinkie Pie and his sister.
Applejack held out her hoof out for her brother. “Ah been dealing with that for hours.” Applejack helped her brother up and brushed some dirt off of his shoulder. “All right Pinkie, ah am gonna get some sleep. Go an meet the others and get a feel for the place.” Applejack walked off into a hallway on the other side of the circle room they were in. “Ah will be over here if ya need me.” As Applejack turned the corner she stopped herself and quickly turned around. “Your room is located right next to mine when you get tired we have work to do in the morning.” Applejack continued on her way and disappeared into her room.
Pinkie took her first look around the room since she jumped in. She was in a circle room with a big table in the middle. With the door she entered through behind her there were two hallways on either side of the room. One of them seemed to be were the sleeping quarters were, so Pinkie decided she should check the other hallway first. Pinkie started walking away when she remembered something.
She turned to Big Mac who had moved and was now sitting in a chair by the door. “Hey Big Mac could you show me around?” Pinkie asked with a happy bounce.
“Nope!” Big Mac hardly moved and made no further effort to explain.
“Why not!” Pinkie asked with annoyed frown. “Its not like you are doing anything else.” Pinkie half complained half begged.
“I was told to stand guard.” Pinkie opened her mouth to talk again but Big Mac cut her short. “No.” Pinkie tried once more to get her words in edge wise but was cut off again. “Standing guard!”
Pinkie turned around grumbling and moaned but Big Mac did not seemed to budge. With no help from him Pinkie had to look around by herself. Annoyed but not defeated, she wanted to see more of her friends. She turned and bounced into the hallway she had set her sights on previous.
The hallway was very long and there were signs on some of the doors that filled the hallways length. Pinkie had not realized until just now but this place was so clean and well decorated. How long has this been here? Why had she not known about it before? Pinkies mind was abuzz with questions. She was going to see if she could get Big Mac to help her one more time but her attention was caught by a word she had missed in these last few days. Her stomach growled as she read the word over and over again. Kitchen, kitchen, kitchen, the word kept repeating in Pinkies mind.
She started to drool and began to float to the food she so desperately wanted.
She floated halfway down the hallway before she was sent crashing to ground. A loud booming noise had snapped her out of her hypnosis and drew her to one of the doors. The sign read, Training Room . She went to grab the door handle but right before she touched it she jumped back in surprise as another boom shot out from the room. The sound waves alone seemed to ruffle her mane.
What are these.... these...things? , Pinkie thought, Is this just sound? This is crazy!
Pinkie walked to the door again. As she approached she heard ponies behind the door and they seemed to be arguing. Pinkie put her ear up to the door to listen in.
“Vinyl your so brutish! Have some sort of class and style while your fighting. Do it right.” A proper sounding female pony argued at who Pinkie could only guess was Vinyl.
“I am doing it with style. You don't get the music I make the same way I don't get your fancy music.” Pinkie knew the voices. The first one was Octavia and the second one was her favorite DJ Vinyl Scratch. Pinkie open the door to say hello to her friends but the door was slammed shut by another loud boom. Pinkie was forced to the ground and let out a small shout in surprise more than pain.
“My bad!” Vinyl Scratch opened up the door to see Pinkie laying on the ground. She let out a squeal of glee as she squeezed the downed Pinkie. “I missed you girlfriend! It's good to see you okay and not like dead or something.” Pinkie had the air squeezed out of and with the last of her breath begged Vinyl to let go. “Ha, sorry. I guess I don't know my own strength.”
“It's okay Scratch, I woulda done the same.” Vinyl offered her hoof to Pinkie and helped her up. “I'm glad to see that your okay Scratch.”
“Just call me DJ Pinkie. That’s what everyone has done since the beginning of all this.” Vinyl opened her mouth again but was cut short by Octavia who just walked through the door.
“What is all this commotion out here?” Octavia looked and Pinkie and smiled. “It is good to see you again P...” She was cut short by Pinkie who grabbed her tight. Octavia pushed Pinkie off and brushed herself off. “Thank you Pinkie.” She said shakily. “I am happy to see you unharmed and in good standings.” Octavia looked at Scratch. “As for you, I believe you need to take training more serious!” Octavia was clearly bothered at Scratch.
“Well la-dee-da Ms. Uptight! I was taking it more serious than you were!”
“Being louder does not mean it better! What if we need to be quiet, your defenseless. You would get killed without us ever knowing.” Octavia had worry hidden in her voice that Pinkie did not think Vinyl could hear.
Pinkie knew Vinyl very well. She and Octavia lived together and cared for each other like sisters, even though then had a funny way of showing it sometimes. Pinkie and Octavia got along well enough but because they came from such different worlds they did not always see eye to eye.
“Well Octavia we should get back to training. Do you wanna come check out what we can do Pinkie?” Vinyl opened the door and held it open for the other girls to get in.
Pinkie walked into the room and it was wide open and huge. From side to side it was as big as two football fields end zone to end zone. “WOW! Were did this all come from?” Pinkie asked with a look of bewilderment.
“Well from what I have heard this like some underground house built by some rich pony from a far away land. I don't think he ever returned to it and it was forgotten over time.” Vinyl said as she walked to one side of the training room. “Applejack found this by accident when she was digging a hole for an apple tree. She fell into an unfinished section and found all of this.” Vinyl stretched and pointed at Octavia. “You ready?”
Pinkie was unsatisfied with the story of this entire underground lair. She wondered if Vinyl actually knew or if she was just making it up. Octavia grabbed what looked like a normal violin and took a defensive stance. She gave a nod and tensed up.
“Pay attention Pinkie!” Vinyl pulled down the goggles she always wore around her head over her eyes. “I have been working on this for concerts so I wouldn't have to lug around all of my gear.” Vinyl's horn lit up and a turntable made of magical matter formed in front of her. It had speakers on the front and it was pointed right at Octavia. “But I turned it into a weapon for the up coming battle.” Vinyl slammed her hoof onto the table and started flipping switches and twisting knobs. To Pinkie, it looked like mindless movement, but the more she moved and fiddled with the turntable the brighter of and aura that formed around the table.
Within seconds the aura focused on the speakers. “HERE IT COMES OCTAVIA!” Vinyl yelled as a bellowing, low noise slowly got louder and louder. “FIRE THE CANNON!” Vinyl let out a maniacal laugh and slammed her hoof on a button that seemed to be on the table she generated. A huge dropping base fired from the speakers and a visible sound wave blasted towards Octavia seemingly rippling through the air. Pinkie's jaw dropped to floor she was amazed at what used to be a simple DJ had turned sounds she made with music into an unfathomably amazing weapon. She was even more surprised she didn't hold back at all firing right at Octavia! Pinkie yelled at Octavia to dodge but she didn't budge.
Octavia smiled and in one swift motion pulled a bow from her violin and ran it across the strings on her violin. Vinyl's blast hit her square and Pinkie feared the worst and closed her eyes tight. But after the deafening boom had vanished Pinkie opened her eyes to see Octavia sitting with the exact same smile and not a scratch on her.
“How.... how did you stop the attack?!” Pinkie asked not even trying to hide her amazement.
“Well it is very simple really.” Octavia held up her violin for Pinkie to look over. “It looks simple enough but really this is an enchanted instrument. When you begin to play an music with it a barrier form around it. The louder you play the bigger the barrier. I, of course, cannot get as loud as that... noise... but I don't have to be louder than it.” Octavia shot a look at Vinyl Scratch.
“Oh that's why I couldn't hear you...” Pinkie looked at Vinyl as her table disappeared. She had a look on her face that Pinkie knew would not be good. The DJ was just about to open her mouth when Pinkie's stomach growled ferociously. Octavia and Vinyl both looked at her in disbelief.
“When was the last time you ate?” They both said in unison.
Pinkie sat and thought. She hadn't eaten in so long. “Um, the last time I ate was the small provisions that Derpy had given Twilight.” Pinkie looked at her stomach. “I hardly remember it. It wasn't much.”
“THEN LETS EAT IM STARVED!” Vinyl yelled as she pushed both of the ponies into the kitchen. “I say sandwiches.”
War was starting to take its toll on the world of Equestria. It had affected ponyville to the highest extreme. There were burnt husks of houses and skeletons of wagons and push carts. The remaining houses were beaten, windows broken, and doors flung off of their hinges. Things were carelessly thrown into the street by Diamond Dogs and other thieves rummaging through what people had left behind when they left for safety or died trying to protect their homes. Even the apple family orchard had fallen prey to violence and destructive magics. The local library had been freshly destroyed, along with a few select other buildings. Some ponies came back from the safety of the castle, not to get things they left but to destroy anything there. The town was forsaken and any pony that tried to bring something back was shunned, beaten, or even killed by the others. Everypony said the town was cursed, that it had changed from its happy self and turned into some kind of... monster.
The princess, or who the people thought was the princess, welcomed anyone with open arms. She looked into anyone who came and seemingly peered into their soul. Nopony left once they arrived at the castle, not because they were forced, but because they did not want to. No matter how reluctant they once were, after one glance by the princess they felt comfortable and overjoyed to be around her. To them they were her savior, their protector and they loved her for it. Discord no longer came to bother them, not while they were at the castle. The Diamond dogs, who for some reason started to attack the village a little after discords first visit, did not attack them, not at the castle. Everypony loved living on the castle grounds no matter how under nurished, dirty, and sick they became they did not want to leave. It was better than anywhere else, why leave?
“WE HAD A DEAL! I am the one who snuck you in here, I told everypony to go to the castle. Without me no one would be here, you would have never gotten were you are now!” Trixie yelled at Chrysalis, who was in the form of Celestia, in her sleeping quarters. “I planned this out, I am the brains of this operation! I am this operation!”
“HA! You the reason for the operation!” Chrysalis said with a chuckle. “It was the original plan to let you get what you want but, I think plans have changed. My army is disguised as the ponies that Discord took away. These ponies are so desperate and are just throwing their delicious affection my way. I have been able to stay in this form in my sleep! The power I have rivals that oaf Discord!”
“I don't care about you. I care about my book!” Trixie glared at Chysalis, disgusted by how perfect her transformation are, even the speech pattern of the princess has been perfectly copied. It sent shivers down Trixie's spine that she could do this with anypony. “I just want access to library. Just let me past the guards and I will be on my way.”
Chrysalis laughed in her own, original laugh, with complete disregard for being caught. “You know to much you little pest.” Chrysalis's horn began to glow and she stood up from her beds comfort. “I don't think you will be leaving here.” She said in calm confident voice.
“WAIT WHAT!” Trixie screamed. “I, umm, what! I.. I... I am sure that, ha, we could work this out right!” Trixie tried to weasel her way out of harms way. “I will leave right now! Ya that's it! I will leave and you never have to see me again, ok?” Trixie turned towards the door and raised her hoof to the handle.
“Stop right there.” Chrysalis's horn had dimmed down, “I can see you don't want to die. So how about I lock you in the dungeon instead?”
Trixie was frozen with fear. She was shaking violently and began to say prayers to anyone who would listen to her hushed words. She craned her neck as to face chrysalis. “I... I could just leave...” Chrysalis advanced on Trixie and loomed over her. Her horn glowed like the sun she now moved everyday. “I... umm... which way was the dungeon again?” Chrysalis grinned and motioned Trixie out the door.
“Don't worry, I will bring you there. Wouldn't want you to get lost now would we?” Chrysalis chuckled.
Chrysalis tailed Trixie throughout the castle, giving her no way to escape. Trixie began to panic as she walked, dreading every step. She look around frantically trying to escape. She talked a big game but without the book she so desired she was powerless against the powerful princess of the changelings. The princess was powerful alone but all the excess affection in the area was making here grow more powerful every second. She was the center of attention, just as planned. Trixie knew the plan in and out but could not stop the monster she had helped set in motion.
Chrysalis shadowed Trixie into an almost stereotypical dungeon. The smell was musty as they climbed down the spiral staircase towards what Trixie could only assumed was eventual, unpreventable death. She hated every second of this walk. Chrysalis her supposed friend, assistant in starting this take over, was breathing down her neck as they walked. She gave a smile to the guards and acted as the princess would. Trixie didn't speak to anyone. She didn't call for help, she didn't tell anyone that this princess was fake. She was not very good at removing magical cloaks, she was not as good as she wanted to be.
“Chyr... Celestia are you sure you want to this. I won't say a thing I promise. I will act as though nothing has happened.” Trixie tried one last time to get Chrysalis to let her go free. Chrysalis did not say anything as she motioned for a guard to grab the cell keys and prep one for Trixie. Trixie's expression changed from one of discouragement and fear to one of anger and spite. “I knew you were untrustworthy, conniving changeling. Your kind as a whole will never be accepted in any culture. We can't trust you farther than we can throw you!”
Chrysalis laughed at Trixie. “You are right we will never be accepted. I am their leader and as long as that remains true the only thing we changelings will do is get continuously stronger and stronger, and I will remain more powerful than any of them.” Chrysalis's horn glowed and without warning she grabbed Trixie by her cape with a green glowing hand that seemed to generate out of thin air. Chrysalis seemed to lift Trixie into the air without as much as a twitch. The hand she generated was huge, like nothing Trixie had ever seen. Trixie was amazed, she had never seen anypony that was so powerful. I... I don't think that even Celestia or Luna could stop her, not even toghether . The Great and Powerful Trixie felt small and feeble against this unbelievable force.
The guard walked over and dropped his spear in sheer shock. “Pri-pri-princess what.... what are you doing doing?” The guard shakily reached for his spear. His hoof was inches away from his spear when was thrown against the wall by another giant fist. He struggled to get upright and spat a small amount of blood onto the dungeon floor. “Your... your an imposter!” The guard turn tail and ran but did not get far. He was pierced through the flank with his own spear, pinning him to the wall. “You won't get... away... with... this.” He growled at the princess through gritted teeth. He tried to say more but Chrysalis wrapped her magic fist tightly around his neck.
“What a shame. You were so loyal to your princess.” She laughed as he struggled to try and pull the spear from the wall. “I love it when you pony's struggle to get free.” A pool of blood was beginning to form at chrysalis feet. The warm sensation of blood running across her hoofs seemed to fill her pleasure. “I am the queen of the changelings, NO, the queen of Equestria, and you will not change that. NO ONE WILL!” She squeezed whatever life the poor guard had left out of him and threw Trixie into the cell that he had prepared. “Rot you worthless unicorn.” She slammed the door and locked it tight. She began to walk away but turned to the cell. She threw up a barrier around Trixie's cell and walked away.
Trixie was in shock. Not because of what Chrysalis did but what she didn't do. She left Trixie alive! I.. I AM ALIVE!!! Trixie screamed in her mind. Hopefully she forgets about me for a while so I can plan my daring escape and get my book.
Twilight Sparkle, log number 107: I know I said in the begging of this log I said I would only post important updates and what I learned for the princess but I have officially decided that this is urgent.
“Twilight put away the stupid diary and help me look for a way out of this... place.” Rainbow whimpered.
“Rainbow I am looking for an exit. It is just that, I... this is important.” Twilight couldn't explain to Rainbow why she was writing in he log book. “And it is a log book! Not a diary.”
“Pfff, whatever egghead. I am gonna get a sky view.” Rainbow to flight, but Twilight noticed that she was struggling to keep her wings flapping.
Getting back to the log she took took her pen in hoof and when back to writing. We, Rainbow and I, have been trapped in what seems like an endless room... Well it started as a room. A board room of sorts, a simple everyday meeting room... kind of. The table was gigantic and the room seemed to be 4x its average size along with everything inside of it. We then traveled what I believed to be south. It has now been about 7 hours and the onset of hunger is dawning. I am worried about Rainbow, she had not eaten before we got here. Thanks to Derpy I had eaten today, not much but enough to keep me going. I am writing this because I fear we may not live through this. I figure, by a logical standpoint, we are stuck in some kind of spell that is far to high for my ability level to get rid of. I am just not good enough and without my books I cannot even figure out were to start. Rainbow cannot see this I do not want to worry her or cause her to panic. We still have a few days but I don't know how far we can travel if our current state keeps deteriorating at our current rate.
“Whatcha writing?” Rainbow said reading over Twilight's shoulder.
“NOTHING!” Twilight screamed in surprise as she slammed her log book shut. Her horn lit up and a purple aura surrounded the book. “You can read it when we get out of here okay?” The book disappeared leaving a few magic remains sparkling toward the ground.
“All I caught was something about getting out of here which I think is over that way.” Rainbow said pointing the direction they had been traveling the whole time. Rainbow had read farther than she let on. She had started to read very quickly after her stay in the hospital. She didn't want to worry Twilight, she knew her friend was more worried than she would ever let on. “There is like a doorway over there.” Twilight was about to ask an obvious question before Rainbow put her hoof roughly over her mouth. “It is on a wall... looking thing. I think it is the other side of the room.”
“I think... um... I hope...” Twilight got up and started walking to were Rainbow pointed.
“Twilight what were you gonna say?” After no response she chased down Twilight and walked next to her. “Are you okay?”
“I think so, I might know whats going on.” Twilight looked deep in thought and was staring off into space almost running into trees that seemed to move in her way. “I have a hunch but I don't know how it could have happened.”
Rainbow was wondering were this was coming from. Just seconds ago she thought they were going to die. But now with the chance for an exit she seemed to completely switch gears. Rainbow had not seen Twilight this deep in thought since her bout with time travel. “What do you think is doing this?” Rainbow wondered out loud.
“Not what, but who is doing this to us. I have my doubts because he couldn't have escaped without help. But I guess it isn't impossible.” Twilight when silent as they approached what looked like an obvious wall. It looked like whomever cast the spell on the rest of this place seemed to stop trying here. There was door a to the left of them that looked just like the door they had entered through.
“Well Twilight what do you think is behind the door? A giant monster? More of the same? A free wish from a genie?” Rainbow said jokingly trying to get her friend to talk.
Twilight's eye twitched in annoyance. Rainbow was not really helping the given situation. She had been to deep in thought about him that she didn't even think if this could actually be the exit. Judging by what they had just gone through this could very well be more of the same. The strange things they saw on the way defied the laws of physics. Tree were growing upside down and producing wax fruit, which Rainbow and Twilight found out the hard way. Statues of familiar ponies fell from the sky and kept slamming down all around them. The statues were never the same and always of somepony they hadn't seen as a statue yet. They were always adorned it strange outfits almost always in contrast with their personality. They didn't quite get the statues falling from the sky but Twilight noticed that water seemed to flow like normal. At least something was normal here in this... place they had stumbled upon.
Twilight held her hoof up to the door handle but Rainbow slapped it down. “Let me do it Twilight. Not to be mean but I am in better shape then you and can react faster to what ever happens when we open this door.” Rainbow boldly stepped in front of the door and carefully pushed it open. The door was well greased and maintained, which caused it to be silent. A gentle breeze blew past while the two ponies stood in the open doorway and looked around what they hoped was and exit.
Inside the room was a gargantuan chair that was facing against the far wall. Besides a 50 foot vaulted ceiling, overly sized chair, and a large viewing port like some kind of ship from a sci-fi movie this room looked almost normal. The room was not overtly big like the last one and Twilight and Rainbow both sighed in relief that they could see the other side of the room. But to their dismay there was not door on the not so far wall.
Twilight laid down on the ground and sighed deeply, tears begging to roll down her face making the most insignificant water marks on the floor. “I give up Rainbow. I can't take this we are going to die of starvation! I succumb to whatever caused this.” Twilight couldn't hold it back anymore. Her tears fell heavy on the ground. Spreading off into their own little pools of sorrow.
Rainbow didn't really know what to do. She wasn't the kind to hug it out but she had to something. “We will make it Twilight! Don't think like that.” Rainbow said confidently trying to convince herself more than her weeping friend. “We could try and break through a wall now that there is one. That shouldn't be to hard.” Rainbow said as she tried to think of something better.
“Don't break the walls! I really want to do that myself.” A very familiar voice said with obvious excitement.
Twilight stopped sobbing instantly and took an aggressive stance toward the big chair. With its back turned she couldn't see who was in it but she remembered the voice that came from it. “DISCORD!” Twilight yelled as her horn lit up like the flames of war. A blast of lightning shot from her horn blasting the chairs head rest in half. Two horns stood up like a sore thumb over the freshly revealed, and burnt, stuffing of the chair. One horn of goat, and one of dear, both causing the two ponies hearts to drop.
“Thank you for fixing the chair.” Discord chuckled to Twilight. “I just am so busy these days. Terrorizing all those little ponies down there on Equestria's surface. They just love it when I stop by. They all flee from me and the slow ones are at my mercy. So much fun.” Discord's chuckle evolved into laughed as he swiveled around to stare both ponies in the eye. “So you didn't get lost in my false forest? I wanted the outside to remind me of home and all of the chaotic things that came along with it.” The draconequus ceased his laughter and smiled at the two miniscule ponies. “Did you see the statues? I personally love them the most! So much work to make them.”
Twilight and Rainbow clenched their teeth in rage. They had been put through hours of impossible thing, to impossible thing, giving them both mind bending headaches. “Why the statues?” Twilight asked discord reluctantly. “You never really struck me as the art type. Well at least not art others could appreciate.”
Discord face swiftly changed from joy to annoyance. “My art isn't suppose to be enjoyed. It is suppose to make others upset and confused, to cause chaos.” Discord slid a grin between his glaring eyes. “Those statues on the other claw.” Discord raised his eyebrows. “Get it? Get it?” After no response he went back to his grin. “Eh, ponies these days. The statues are made of ponies.”
“I know that!” Rainbow growled at Discord. “I saw the ones of the Wonderbolts and I have to say your attention to detail is great. But besides the weird clothes you dressed them in why are they your favorite? They seem to normal and realistic.”
“That is the thing. Like I said before they are made of ponies.” The strange part pony, part many things creature looked at Rainbow Dash with a discriminating look. “Are you really that thick headed?”
Rainbow was frozen, not moving at. Her eyes began to twitch and her legs began to shake. A single lonely tear droplet rolled down her cheek and splashed on the ground, joining Twilight's sorrowful puddle in a depressing harmony. “I am going to kill you, you dirty rotten, low down killer!” Rainbow Dash bolted strait for Discord in her rage. Her hoof's making a sickening thud with every step. Discord snapped his fingers and like that Rainbow's legs were bound together with a thick rope that was in a knot with so many twists and turns even Discord could not look at it without his brain hurting. Rainbow slammed to the ground and slide just a few feet from Discord's chair.
“What an disturbing knot.” Discord proclaimed, complementing his work. “Now you are way to close for comfort.” Discord kicked Rainbow to twilight's hoofs with his powerful left goat leg. “You are both not welcome here and I would never make you into a statue. You are not worth keeping alive. Personally you are my least favorite ponies, not that I have a favorite, but you and your friends are the reason I was trapped for a second time in the same fashion all of you little ponies will eventually be trapped. Now get out of my sight you heathens I need to make my throne room and line it with the hapless ponies I have trapped.” Discord snapped once more and the ground beneath Twilight and Rainbow opened wide to reveal the tops of homes and the hard ground miles below. “Have a nice time without a parachute, arrivederci!”
Twilight's eyes widened as Discord quickly left her sight and the hole she and Rainbow had fallen through closed indefinitely. “Rainbow I need your help here!” Twilight yelled to Rainbow as they plummeted toward Ponyville.
Rainbow tried desperately to flap her wings but with every movement pain strobed through her body. Discord had kicked her in wing, no doubt on purpose to stop her from flying. “Twilight I don't think I can with legs bound like this.” Rainbow didn't tell Twilight about the blinding pain she felt as she continued to try and fly for her friends sake.
Right, Twilight thought in a panicked rush, *what spell do I know that can get us out of this. I am fatigued from the lack of food and the amount of energy I used up in my anger against Discord. What can I do!* Twilight closed her eyes and blocked out everything. She racked her mind and went over every spell she could remember. She opened her eyes and yelled at Rainbow to get ready to fly. Her horn glowed faintly, not bright like the other times she had used magic throughout the day. NO! Come on, just a little bit please! You can do it Twilight, for Rainbow. Her horn brightened and the rope around Rainbows legs dissipated as the two quickly approached the ground.
Rainbow spread her wings and stabled herself with her legs, feeling like someone had stuck a knife in her wing. She swooped under Twilight stopped their deadly descent seconds from impact with the unforgiving ground. Twilight's weight pressed on her causing her to fly even harder, making the pain unbearable. Rainbow flew as close as she could to the ground but was unable to slow down before her agonizing pain caused to her to drift out of consciousness sending both her and Twilight plummeting to the ground at a high speed.
Twilight let out a loud scream and braced for impact. The ponies were tossed around like rag dolls right in the middle of the newly desolate Ponyville. Twilight slammed her head against a wooden pull cart and was knocked unconscious. Both ponies laid in the middle of town. Both unconscious but alive for the time being.
(That was the end of the chapter but I am going to add this little foot note at the end of it. Really I thank you all for reading up to this point and I have no plans of stopping before the story is finished. I will post small updates in the comments of the story but I will answer any question story related or not at my tumblr “Poorlydrawnbutwellsaid”. I post story updates there and I would prefer feedback to be sent there. Although I don't have a problem with a message or comment. Leave a like if you enjoyed this so far and go check out my tumblr. Also I will be posting a new fic about my OC. I was going to that this week instead of this chapter but it got deleted along with a lot of my other written stuff... and music and video. Stupid technology, I love you but you are so hurtful. Also I know there is a blog here on the site but I don't think mine works properly. ONE MORE THING when I do post my oc story there will be a pretty good description of him and I was wondering if anybody out there had any skills at drawing ponies would draw him up and sent it to me. If you have any questions let me know via tumblr and leave some sort of feed back so I know you like the story. Yet again thank you all so much and I hope this fic is good if not one of your favorites. Also I didn't mention this until now but this is kind of a competition between me and my friend on who thinks could make the better story. His fic is “smoke on the horizon” give it a gander and tell us who is winning with likes, comments, or both.)
The flowers in the meadow around Pinkie filled her heart with joy and happiness. She bounced around the fields of assorted flowers and hummed happily to her own tune. Birds chirped in the distance keeping tune with Pinkie. She stopped and held her gentle hoof out to the fluttering birds. She had never held a bird in hoof before. The ones that Fluttershy would try to hand her always flew timidly away. This bird was much different. It seemed to have a glow about it and when Pinkie held out her hoof the little bird landed with a smile.
“Hi there. Whats your name friend? I haven't ever held a little birdie before.” Pinkie gave the bird a wide loving smile.
The bird looked at her and hopped side to side twitching its head every which way. It soon spread its wings and took off toward a newly forming sunset on the horizon. The happy pink pony watched as her new friend left. I hope I get to see you again little friend. Maybe I could hold you again and show Fluttershy that I am not always moving, I could sit still if I tried. With a little giggle Pinkie saw a distant tree with a simple rope and board swing connected to a low hanging branch. With leaping bounds of excitement Pinkie skipped to the new attraction.
The swing was old but seemed to be in a working condition so Pinkie hopped on. She starting swinging and smiled as the leaves on the branch rustled as she moved. She stared at the sunset as it moved up and down in accordance with her.
She was in full swing when she all the birds in the tree darted out the tree in great distress, squawking uncontrollably as she went. She looked up to find that the bird she had been holding onto had stayed with her. “Sorry about your friends little guy. I didn't think I would scare them all away with my swinging. At least you know I wouldn't hurt you.” Pinkie flashed a smile at the small, feathered animal.
The bird watched Pinkie go back and forth, back and forth, up and down, up and down, to and fro, to and fro. It skipped closer and closer to the rope that held the swing on the branch. The rope was old and worn. It was frayed and had stripped the tree of its bark long ago. It seemed like it was very unstable but well enough that without any outside assistance Pinkie would be fine. The bird watched the rope swing with Pinkie and started to peck at the rope.
Pinkie watched as the bird pecked the rope. From her end the rope looked healthy and virtually untouched. It looked solid and well build. Never in a million years would a small bird take out such a rope. “Bird, silly, the rope isn't food.” Pinkie said as she gained momentum. “Try the ground little guy. That’s were worms and other food would be.” But the bird kept pecking. To Pinkie a silly game, but the bird had a different view.
The bid saw that only a few strands of rope remained and made just a few last pecks before, snap, the rope had broken. Pinkie was at full speed ahead and went flying off the stable branch and tumbled down a hill just in front of the swing. She tried to stop herself from rolling down any further but nothing she could do helped. As the world spun out of control around her she saw the bird flying lowly behind her. She reached the bottom dizzy and bruised, but well enough. She saw the sun set completely and the sky became almost instantly black.
Pinkie looked up and the bird was hovering above her, its eyes glowing a ghostly white. “Why did you do that?” Pinkie asked shakily. The bird said nothing and continued to flap its wings above her.
Pinkie sat up and rubbed her sore head. “Why did you do that little guy?”
The bird stopped flapping its wings but did not sink to the ground. Floating in mid air the bird tilted its head sideways. “I am a girl.” The bird said with a gentle tone.
“Oh no. I am so sorry. Can you forgive me?” The frizzled pink pony quickly apologized. The bird slowly sank to the ground and stood there silently, intensely staring at the ground. “He..hello?”
The bird slowly looked up. Pinkie jumped back in horror. Instead of the beak and feathers she expected she had laid eyes upon her own face. The animal quickly grew into an exact mirror of Pinkie striking the exact same pose of complete horror as Pinkie.
Pinkie slowly lowed her defenses and gave the clone a look up and down. The clone copied. It was just like Pinkie, down to the last detail, hair curl, and movement. Pinkie stood up and held out a hoof. The clone copied. The two ponies hoofs met each other.
The clone threw Pinkie to the ground and pinned her beneath. “So, you still are pretending I am just a figment of your overactive imagination?” The clones mane and tail went flat and pressed itself against its increasingly slender body. The clone was soon nothing but skin and bone. Every little rib showing every little, ugly bone. Its eyes grew bloodshot, as if it had not been getting proper rest.
Pinkie's eyes were wide with fear. She tried to flee but her body would not listen, it wouldn't budge. The bones, sticking out and beyond noticeable, dug into Pinkie causing her great discomfort and pain. “I am here, and moving on my own free will. Causing you pain, making you squirm and question.” The clone continued. “You will bow to me. I will take control and” A spear drove itself through the clones chest, spraying blood across Pinkies stunned face.
“Pinkie!? Pinkie get up Pinkie.” The southern accented pony yelled at Pinkie. Sweat was dripping down the pony as she sat up in bed. Applejack was sitting right next to her with a concerned look. “Pinkie y'all was yelling in your sleep. Y'all okay?”
Pinkie stared at Applejack, making sure she wasn't still dreaming. “Umm... yeah, I am fine.” Pinkie laid back down. “Just go back to bed. I will see you in the morning AJ.”
The orange pony looked at her friend for a few more moments before standing up and heading to the door. “Hollar iffin ya need me, alright.” Pinkie didn't reply and let herself slowly drift back into sleep.
