Part 6

I sighed a little bit. “Okay so why do you need me here? I don't see what I can really do to help you out.” I said as I leant back on the desk with my arms crossed, waiting for an answer.

“Well if you must know, I've been very busy lately dealing with the class.” She stood up from her desk and began walking towards me.

”And you need me why? I'm sorry but I have other things I need to do, but if you need me that badly then I’ll stay and help, but not for too long.”

“Well if you’re going to be like that then you don't have to help me; I only needed help with today’s class, nothing else.” She pointed at the door as if she wanted me to leave.

“Fine... I’ll stay and help I guess but don't expect a lot from me, I'm a lazy kind of guy.” I got up and moved a chair to the front of the class; I sat down and looked out the window, waiting for the day to be over already. Cheerilee smiled and sat back at her desk waiting for the bell to ring so we could start.

Soon after that the bell rang and the day started. The room began filling up with little ponies of all kinds and I saw Sweetie Belle with her friends.

She waved at me “Hey Chris... what are you doing here?” She asked.

“I don’t really know, Cheerilee said she needed my help so I guess I'm going to be here helping her for today.” I shrugged and went back to looking out the window.

“Well that's nice of you for helping her. You sure do like helping other ponies, I can tell.” She laughed and went back to her seat, still looking at me smiling.

‘What the hell does that mean? Does she know about me and Rarity and Applejack? Oh whatever, like it matters, I know that won't happen with Cheerilee... I hope.’ I thought to myself. I sighed and kept looking out the window, trying to ignore all the talking and what not.

“Okay class.” Cheerilee stood and walked in front of the blackboard with a smile as bright as the sun. “Now… today I have a guest here to help me out a bit and his name is Chris.” She said, pointing her hoof at me; I looked around and saw all the pony’s eyes staring at me like they were waiting for me to say something.

“Um, hey, I'm here to help out… I guess.” Cheerilee looked at me like she was disappointed, thinking I had more to say.

“Well before we start any lessons, does anypony have any questions for Chris?”

“Hey now wait a sec...” I shouted. She looked back at me, waiting for me to finish my sentence. “Oh never mind.” I crossed my arms and went back to staring out the window.

“So nopony has any questions? Okay then let's start today’s lessons.” She went back to her desk and took out some paper.

“So...” I said “Why am I here again?” Cheerilee let out a sigh.

She looked over at me and said “Well, today they are working on a project and I need you to help me watch over them. Is that so hard for you to do?”

I laughed a little bit and responded “So... you only need me to help you watch over them, nothing else? Wow I guess this is going to be an easy day for me.” I leant back in my chair with my hands over my head.

“Well I’m glad that it's going to be an easy day for you... anyway come and help me, we need to get some supplies.” She walked up to me and booted me off the chair.

“So you planned this lesson… but you don't have the things for it? Whatever, I’ll head out and get some.” I paused at the door and looked back “Do you want to come with me? Or do you need to stay and watch them?”

She smiled and began walking towards me “No I’ll just leave someone in charge and then we can head out. Silver Spoon, I'm leaving you in charge while I'm gone.” The classroom let out a collective sigh at her decision.

“You got it Miss Cheerilee, you can count on me!” She shouted and went over to sit at Cheerilee’s desk with an evil little smile plastered on her face.

“Well Chris let's get going, we don't have all day. We will be back in no more than 20 minutes.”

We walked down the hallway looking for the supply room while Cheerilee tried to make small talk to pass the time. ”So... Chris? I need to ask you a personal question... If you don't mind answering that is.” She began to blush a little.

“I guess I don't mind answering a question.”

She got a little closer to me and whispered “Do you like me?” I backed off to get some room between me and her.

“Well I like you but not in that way; I would need to know you a little more, I'm not the kind of person that believes in love at first sight.” At my answer she looked towards the ground with a frown.

“Oh... well if you say so.” She sighed “But if you ever want to get to know me better, you know where to find me.” She said and kissed me on the cheek.

I blushed and replied “Yeah... I’ll keep that in mind. If I ever do want to know you better I’ll come to the school.”

We finally made it to the supply room and Cheerilee got what she wanted. We began heading back; she was blushing and looking at me hoping I would change my mind soon.

As we walked back in the classroom I headed back to my seat and started looking out the window again, hoping something interesting would happen. “Psst… Chris, come here!” Sweetie Belle was waving me to go over to her.

I sighed and headed over there “Yes, what do you need?” I crouched so I could get down to her level without hurting my back.

“So I heard that Miss Cheerilee kissed you... is that true?” She giggled.

“How… how do you- that just happened a second ago, how do you know about it already?”

“I know things annnnnnd… I kind of followed you when you left. Sorry.” I got back up to my feet and walked back to my seat, not saying another word to her.

As I got back to looking out of the window, I saw a light blue pony flying across the sky moving around the clouds. “Damn… the things I would do to her.” I whispered.

Cheerilee looked at me. “What did you say Chris?”

“Hmm? Oh nothing, don't worry about it... I need to ask you something though. Who is that?” I pointed out the window at the light blue pony that was now lying down on a cloud.

“Oh her? She’s Rainbow Dash... good luck trying to get with her.” She laughed and went back to her work.

“Yeah watch me, I’ll get her… if it's the last thing I do.” I looked back out the window but she had disappeared; I kept looking though, hoping to see her again.

After a while of nonsense and what not, the class finally went home. It was just me and Cheerilee in the room now. “So... Chris did you think about what I said?” She asked.

“Hmm? Yeah I did but like I said I need to get to know you more; I can't just jump into it.” I got up from my seat. “Anyway I’ll see you around.”

She grabbed my hand with her hoof and pulled me back. “Fine... you want to know me better, let's go out! I know where we can go.” She said frantically.

“But I really need to go, I need to talk to Twi, it's important.” I tried to take my hand away from her.

“Okay well… can I get two hours with you at least, no more no less?” she begged.

I took a deep breath. “Fine, you get two hours with me… so where do you want to go?”

She smiled and walked out the door; “I know the perfect place, Pinkie Pie and Mr. and Mrs. Cake work there. I'm sure we can get something to eat there.”

I sighed a bit looking down at the ground. ‘I'm so sorry Twi...’ I lifted my head up and followed Cheerilee to this... cake place.
