"How would you like some tea, darling?", Rarity asked Spike sweetly, as she levitated over a tea pot and a couple cups, before using her magic to gracefully pour the contents of the pot in one of the cups, before taking it in hand and offering it the dragon, who was standing in a fancy looking little suit with his arm and legs spread. He had been ordered to remain perfectly still by his new found love. But when Spike moved his arm to grab the little tea cup, Rarity grabbed it by its wrist firmly and gave him a scolding look. "I told you to stay still.", she spoke threateningly as she levitated up need connect to some thread that had been passing in and out of his suit. "I know my needle work is so precise, it must be easy for you to forget I am even still working on your new out fit darling, but I must insist you remain perfectly still."

Suddenly Rarity's grimace turned into a mischievous smile, as she used her magic to turn the needle's point back toward the fabric adorning Spike's chest, as he started to sweat a little. "You don't want to move and cause me to...", suddenly she pushed the needle through the fabric until Spike could feel its point pressing against his scale, but it still wasn't deep enough to actually hurt him., almost making the poor little dragon jump back."make a mistake now do you Spike-Wikey."

After this, Spike was left hyperventilating, as he struggled not to move an inch. After a long and tense moment, Rarity spoke up. "Relax darling, I would sooner stab myself than scratch a single scale on your adorable head.", she stated the last part in a cutesy voice while pinching the dragon's cheek. "That's just my way of making sure children stay still. A bit mean I know, but I haven't had a single needle related accident since I started doing it.", she gave a little chuckle, as she resumed her stitching.

After Spike had a moment to calm down, Rarity once again offered him the tea cup. But this time she opened her mouth slightly and gestured towards with her free hand. Taking the hint, Spike opened his mouth to let Rarity pour some of the cups contents down his throat, just the magically controlled needle was finishing up.

"Look like we're done here darling", Rarity said before taking needle and remaining string away. "Now if you will kindly take a seat in the parlor, I'll gather all of Twilight and your things and ring it up." The unicorn mare stated while using her magic to open up a door that was hidden behind a row of clothes.

While Spike was being guided to the door, a thought occurred to him. "Uh... Rarity?" Spike spoke up for the first time in a quiet bit, only to briefly lose voice when his crush turned towards him.

"Yes Spike?"

"Uh... exactly how much is all this going to cost?", he asked nervously while pointing towards a large pile garments behind them. "Because Twilight didn't really leave me with much money." Spike rubbed the back of his head while forcing on a smile.

"Oh, don't you worry about that darling.", Rarity started playfully looking around for any prying ears, before bending down to the dragons level. "I'm going to charge everything to the crown. I get more money that way anyway." She whispered in his ear, before shooing him towards the previously hidden room.

Through the door Spike found a cozy little sitting area with two couches a fire place towards the side of the room with a couple rapiers nailed above it, crossing each other. Between them was a small table with an antique tea set placed on its surface and a couple chairs. The wall of the room around the fire place was aligned with what looked to be photos of Rarity and her family. Mostly with a little unicorn filly that bore a striking resemblance to Applebloom's friends, Sweetie something, he believed her name was. On the opposite side of the room, he saw several shelves and display cases filled with various awards. Many of them appeared to be from various local and regional fashion contests and beauty. It came as no surprise to him there, that an artist of such caliber of his new found love would have many trophies for her craft or that such a beautiful mare could sway any judges. But what caused him to raise an eyebrow was the other trophies, that were in things like martial arts contest and fencing tournaments. But his attention soon turned to a photo of Rarity in a purple single piece swim suit, maybe a few years younger with her at the time, somewhat shorter mane tied in a bun.

"Enjoying what you see, Spikey?" Rarity asked sarcastically, causing the dragon to jump up slightly. Spike's cheeks turned red as he realized his new crush had just walked in on him drooling over a photo of her in a swimsuit and quickly tried to change the subject.

"Uh... I was just wondering about all these pictures of you... ah with swords and stuff." Spike said nervously as his gaze turned towards a picture of Rarity holding up a sword while wearing a jacket and skirt combo, as white as her fur.

"Oh this old thing? I just used to do a little fencing here and there, before my fashion career started to take off." She said while making brushing aside hand gesture. Spike breathed a sigh of relief, that she had bought that. "Oh, and I also did some swimming and some photo shoots, if you have not noticed darling." She said with knowing wink, while the dragon's cheeks turned red again. "Now you should really be off. You wouldn't want to get too far behind Twilight, now, would you?" The unicorn threw him a huge bag filled with clothes.

"Shoot!" Spike quickly threw the bag over his shoulder, while kicking himself for forgetting about Twi. "Sorry, I have to go." Spike said with a hint of sadness in his voice. He wished he could stay with Rarity longer, but he had to find Twilight and after that, they'll probably leave to Canterlot after all this and he'll likely never see her again. He tried to run away, in hopes that Rarity would not be able see the sad look on his face, only to be stopped by her gentle, but firm grip on his arm.

"Before you go darling, I want to give you something to make up for the incident with the pin earlier." Suddenly, Rarity pulled the little dragon towards herself and planted quick little kiss onto his cheek. A quick little kiss that made the little dragon's heart stop and melted away any doubt in his mind, that this mare was the mare of his dreams. "Now go along dear, you don't want to keep Twilight waiting." She said, bringing him out of his daze, before he sprinted off.

Author's Note

Just a quick little thing I through together while I was still trying to get the actual next chapter ready. I thought I would test the waters with how I'm writing Spike and Rarity's relationship in this story, to see if anyone has any better ideas for how to handle it.
