MLP:FIM Season 9
S9EP1- Our Plan
Load Full Story"So, what's this big idea of yours," a large menacing centaur, asked as he stood on the barren rooftop of a building.
To the right of the centaur was a small pink filly, with curly light blue hair locks with a small pink bow atop her head, she smiled at the red centaur with an innocent smile, she eyes closed as she smiled, "Like I said Mr. Tirek," she began, "my plan is like a game of chess-" the young filly looked down at the same bright lights that emitted from a certain royal city, the sounds of roaring celebration emitting as well, "and like a good game of chess we have to take out the pawns if we ever want to get any closer to the Queen..."
One Year Ago
There was a level for criminals in Equestria; if they commit crimes against the public they would be sent to jail or prison, if they tried to harm, or kill, Celestia or any of her other royal delegates or family, they would be sent to a dungeon in the recesses of the Cantorlot castle, or face exile. But there was a special place for those that did both, and had magical prowesses that matched up to beings like Celestia, Luna, and even the now reformed Discord; a place far, far away from the monarch's subjects where they could no longer do any harm. That special little place was Tartarus, a small prison-like holding hall that could be described as, extreme detention by young colts and fillies who have heard of the place.
Rather than normal prison cells, most of these dangerous creatures we placed in animal cages, which was fitting considering most of the inhabitants of the cells were animal-like creatures
Well, all except one; in the very back of the prison, guarded by a black Cerberus, a red centaur about the same height as Celestia sighed heavily with an annoyed look. Tirek, who nearly consumed all of the magic in Equestria and had a physique of a muscular greek-god, was now reduced to living in a small cage and had the appearance of a withering old man. It had almost been three and a half years since Twilight Sparkle and her friends defeated him, he was so close to finally taking over this world but, like many other villains before him, he had his plans halted once again by the Elements of Harmony.
Although this would have greatly annoyed the centaur, that memory wasn't his current thought of annoyance; to the right of Tirek was a small cage that, surprisingly, had a small, cute, pink furred filly who hummed a tune with a happy smile. This innocent looking filly was CozyGlow she had a smile the could warm anyone's heart, was a bit of a ditz, but would always try to ratify her mistakes. But that was just an act, the moment you turned your back, her large doughy eyes and an innocent smile would be replaced with a more menacing, almost demented smile.
As for why such a filly was placed in Tarturus rather than some sort of juvenile center, well, let's just say that attempting to take-away all magic from Equestria is a big no-no.
The young filly continued humming, much to the annoyance of the skinny centaur, as she bobbed her head from side to side.
"Cozy Glow" Tirek called to the humming filly, however, she continued to hum completely ignoring the greatly annoyed centaur, "Cozy," he called again in a louder volume, once again, no response, "Cozy!" he yelled in irritation, the filly continued to hum. Tirek's face had reddened, even more than usual, at the blatant ignorance of the small filly, "Listen to me you little whelp, If you continue to ignore me, I'll flay your skin, and tear out your nerves!" For about the fourth time, she ignored him, realizing the uselessness of continuing this tirade, he ceased his yelling and turned away from the filly.
Just as he did that, the fillies eye's slowly opened, letting out a long yawn as well. She turned to the annoyed centaur with a wide smile, "Good morning Mr. Tirek," she said happily.
"There's no telling of time in a place like this," he sighed, "Also, It's Lord Tirek"
Cozy placed a hoof on her chin, "Lord huh," she parroted. The small filly giggled at the assertion, "For someone like you I don't think that title fits you anymore."
"And what is that supposed to mean!?" he growled, "I'm the most powerful being in this worthless world-"
"Was" Cozy corrected, causing the skinny Centaur to glare at the filly, "Oh calm down Mr. Tirek, I was just trying to pass the time."
"Why," he questioned, "You do understand we are here for all eternity right? There is no point in doing something so useless"
"You say that like my plan is over,"
Tirek, at the sound of those words, looked over to the small filly, "What do you mean?"
Cozy turned her head away from the red centaur and stared at the tall double doors that led to the outside, "Everything was going according to plan," she began, "Even if the elements somehow found a way out of this place, all the worlds magic would have been gone-" Cozy furrowed her brow, as she began to remember a certain group of six "But those six cogs, ruined it, had everything went right I would have been ruling this place with an iron fist and everyone, even non-ponies, would have been under my control, but those, cysts," he voice became oddly deeper and emotionless "because of them, all that planning all that work of having to kiss up to uptight, arrogant, ponies-" suddenly, Cozy's expression changed back to her usual happy, cutesy expression, placing both of her hooves over her cheeks "Everything went exactly as I expected!"
Tirek continued to stare at the filly, somewhat confused by her words, "I don't follow"
Cozy cleared her throat before she began her explanation "You see Mr. Tirek, during my plan over at the academy I had formulated two alternate ones; I'll be honest, I was very confident in my planning, but I just wanted to create some...insurance, in case the other one fell through-" she proceeded to look around the room, "and by the looks of things, it seems that phase one of my alternate plan is going to begin!"
After hearing her explanation, the former lord, looked at the filly with a doubtful expression, "And how do you expect we go about that?" he commented, "As I have stated before, we are stuck here, I doubt you could account for such an escape from a place such as this."
Rather than reply to centaur's remark, Cozy proceded to tear off a piece of her...fur? Underneath the tape-like fur cover, there were two small bottles: a small brown-tinted glass bottle, and a small, clear glass bottle. Tirek cocked his eyebrows in suspicion at what Cozy was doing but was soon answered when the small filly proceeded to unscrew the top of the brown glass bottle and drizzle the substance from the bottle onto one of the bars, and in an instant, the bar slowly began to corrode stopping only half-way and flattening the corroded part, which allowed Cozy to safely exit the cage with ease.
Tirek stared at the filly with a surprised expression.
"You know, it's a good thing that the royal guards are so incompetent," the filly walked over to the centaur's cage and began to sprinkle a bit of the same substance that melted the bar of her cage, doing the same to Tirek's cage, although they did not entirely melt away, the bars were weak enough for the centaur to break the cage open, and exit his cage.
With a slight look of delight, Tirek proceeds to stretch his arms and legs out with a large grin, "Well, I must say," Tirek began, finishing up his stretches, "you certainly are full of surprises."
"What can I say, like a game of chess you have to think about alternate routes before going for the easiest one," after saying that, the small filly pulled out yet another surprise.
"A spoon," Tirek questioned, his eyebrow cocked, "what are you planning to do with that, exactly?"
Once again, rather than answer the centaur, Cozy lifted herself up into tow the air and quietly flew over the three-headed guard-dog, as to not wake them up, and landed next to a sleeping cockatrice.
Cozy then proceded to poke the beast with the end of the utensil and said beast immediately awoke and went into defense mode.
Cozy stared down at the animal with a demented look, "Time for phase two!" Cozy grabbed the rooster-dragon by the neck and pushed it down onto the ground, its head sticking out of the cage right under the filly, who had raised her spoon high above the beast's head...
Several Months Later
The sun rose high over Ponyville, as a new day was about to begin in the small, not-so-sleepy, town of approximately 10,000 ponies.
As the final days of July has gone, and the new days of August had come around, for most of the adult ponies it was just another day of opening their shops and beginning their work shifts, but for many of the young ponies, whether they be teens, colts or fillies, a new day of school would begin for them. And while most of them would groan from leaving behind their summer vacation, the same could not be said for the students of a different academy.
Somewhere, far off from the main area of the town was a large crystalline tree-castle, where the princess of friendship herself, as well as her student and her assistant, resided. Not too far from the blue castle was an academy made out of the same material, and this same academy would have the princess herself as the headmare of the school.
This school was known as the School of Friendship; an academy where anypony, or anycreature rather, could come to learn of the importance of camaraderie and the lesson of friendship as a whole. Twilight Sparkle, as well as her friends, worked at the academy in order to spread their message of friendship and even accepted a few non-pony students to attend the academy, as a way for them to spread that message they had learned in their own home countries.
Now while the school was already known for having the element bearers work at the academy, one of the major things that increased the interest of the academy among the public was the Cozy Glow attacks that occurred in the school only a few months ago. Carried out by a small pegasus filly, these attacks nearly lead to the depletion of magic throughout Equestria, and possibly the end of Equestria itself.
While the filly came close to her goal, even almost successfully locking the Element bearers away in Tarturas, her actions were thwarted by a group of students (five of whom were non-ponies), and it's because of their actions, they single-handedly saved Equestria from such a fate.
Anyways, inside the academy, the elements of harmony, Starlight, and Spike were decorating and prepping the academy for their new, and old, set of students coming to the school.
As they were setting up the school, Pinkie hummed a small tune as she helped Fluttershy with the banner for the incoming students, "I'm so excited," the mare sang happily, as she finally tacked the corner of the banner on the wall, "I can't wait to see the new students!"
"Same here," a rainbow-maned pegasus commented, as she flew by the two mares, "I wonder if we're gonna get any more non-pony kids like last semester?"
Sweeping up the last of the dust into the bin, Twilight's personal student, Starlight, replied to the mare's question, "From what I heard, Twilight has been discussing to a few leaders about who they're bringing," she explained, "Apparently, the President of the Republic of Toros, the king and queen of the Abyssinian empire, and even the mayor of Fillydelphia is coming down here to bring someone from Dragontown,"
" the Abyssinian empire?" Rarity repeated with an intrigued expression, "Oh, how smashing, hopefully, Jasper will accompany them, it has been quite a while since we've seen them," she said, the last bit of her statement receiving a quiet groan from the winged purple drake who, with the help of Rainbow Dash, finished wiping the windows.
Spike's annoyed look quickly changed to one of excitement at the mention of the last creature on that list, "Wait, did you say Dragontown?" he asked, receiving an affirming nod from the light-purple unicorn, "Awesome," he exclaimed, "I haven't been there for a while now, maybe after this, I can go visit Mina again,"
"Wait a minute, Spike," Fluttershy, who had lowered herself down to the ground moments ago, interrupted the drake with a questioning look, "You've been to Dragon Town?"
"Also," Rainbow Dash interjected, "Who's Mina,"
"I'll tell you everything later," Spike dismissed with a wave of his claw, "RIght now, we need to get back cleaning up, I think we're just about done with the preparations, right?"
"Jus' about," Apple Jack answered with a smile, " The banner's set up, the snacks are all organized on the table, and this whole academy seems squeaky-clean,"
"Alright then," Spike said with a sigh.
As if on cue, the sound of trotting hooves could be heard coming up behind the group, "Hey guys," the familiar voice announced to the group, "Sorry I wasn't here long, I had a bit of a registration issue to fix up." Trotting over to the group, the princess of Friendship, with a few papers in her magical grip, ran over to the group with an apologetic smile.
"Oh don't worry about it Twi, everything's all set" Spike reassured the alicorn, to which the purple mare smiled with a sigh of relief.
"Well that's good," she said, "anyways, we're just about to open up in a few minutes, so everypony be prepared," the group quickly trotted, or walked, over to the large door, and stood by it with a smile on each of their faces, "Alright then," with little hesitation, the doors to the academy opened up and soon, many ponies of varying colors began galloping in, "Welcome everyone to a new semester!" Twilight exclaimed, as the last of the new students entered the school.
While the school itself was rather large, in fact, it was able to hold a capacity of over half a million creatures, the main hall was nearly filled to the brim with the voices and bodies of the new students. With a few information kiosks, and food tables set up by the halls, the meet and greet of students new and old would soon begin.
For most of the girls, they were busy talking with some of the new students about what the academy has to offer, and what plans they had for the future, but for Twilight, Spike, and maybe Starlight, the three were mostly interested in whatever creature would be enrolling in their academy. Spike, specifically, was looking around for any non-equine faces to see if the mayor had arrived, I wonder where the mayor could be he thought to himself, as he directed a yellow unicorn over to one of the girls, "Yeah, they're just over there,"
"Thanks," the stallion replied, before trotting over to one of the booths.
The moment the unicorn moved, Spike saw something that both excited, and shocked him; standing only a few feet away from him, wearing a navy-blue blazer, and talking to a rather larger set pony, was a certain pink dragoness that worked at the comic shop in Dragontown.
"Mina?" Spike thought aloud to himself, before spreading his wings and flying over to the pink she-dragon, "Hey," he announced to the dragoness who turned away from who she was talking to and turned her attention over to the elated drake.
"Spike," she questioned with a smile that radiated the same elation.
Spike quickly lowed himself down from the air as a way to better greet her, but the moment he did, Mina immediately locked the purple drake into a bear hug, "Holy crap," she exclaimed as she hugged him tightly, "I haven't seen you in, like, forever,"
"It's good to see you too," Spike responded in a hushed voice, as Mina's hug proved to be quite tight.
Noticing this, a sheepish expression grew on the dragoness face, as she quickly lowered on to the ground, "Sorry about that," she said apologetically.
"Don't worry about it," he reassured her with the wave of his hand, "I'm just glad to see you again,"
"Same here, it feels good to finally get some personal time, and not have to deal with all the papers,"
"Papers," Spike parroted with an expression of confusion plain on his face, the dragon proceed to do a double take of the dragonesses attire, Wait, a blazer, pearl necklace, and a pin of the Fillydelphia emblem on the pocket of her blazer? "Wait, are you-"
"Yep," she responded with a bit of hesitance, "you're looking at the new mayor of Fillydelphia,"
The moment those words left her mouth, Spike's jaw nearly hit the floor, "Are you for real," he exclaimed, receiving an affirming nod from the she-dragon. Spike's shocked expression was quickly replaced by an elated smile, "That's amazing-" he proceeded to hug the dragoness tightly, "congrats, I didn't know you wanted to become the mayor,"
"Well, not exactly" Mina began in a hesitant tone.
Spike released Mina from his hug and looked back at the young mayor with an inquisitive expression, "Not exactly?"
"Well, the thing is this, it all sort of started as a silly dare..." she stated sheepishly, before explaining herself, "You see, I was reading this news article about the old mayor..."
Inside a small comic book shop, Mina and another co-worker of hers were lounging about as the occasional slow day had hit them.
During this long break, Mina was reading the newspaper with an annoyed expression, "Ugh," she grunted, as she read the article about the Fillydelphian mayor, "I don't know how somepony like him got elected to be our mayor, look at all these policies he put into place-" she turned the paper over to her co-worker, who's face paralleled the dragoness's displeased expression.
"What the heck," she muttered, "he's gonna start a 'Gem tax', most of the ponies in south Fillydelphia can barely pay for half of his crap, but now he's gonna start taxing our food?"
"I know right, what gives him the right to do that? Not to mention that barely anyone in this city respects him, not even the police, or city council like him,"
"Can you really blame them though," she retorted, "he's hasn't kept his promise to upgrade the police station, or even help clean up the streets in West Filly either, you remember how my brother almost got killed over there?"
"Seriously, I bet you this stallion is using our money to fund more of his 'city projects'" Mina said with air-quotes, "This city deserves better, someone who knows the public and understand them, someone like-"
"You?" the dragoness said with an inquisitive look.
"I mean, " she began hesitantly, "I think I could be a better mayor than this dude,"
"Mina, I'm not one to crush someone's hopes, but there's no way you could be mayor,"
"I so could!" Mina retorted with a umbraged expression
After that outburst, a small smirk grew on the dragoness' face, "Alright, I bet you five bits that you won't make it past the primaries,"
"Okay," Mina responded with a slightly determined voice, "and I bet you ten bits that I get elected-" the magenta dragoness stretched out her claw to the other dragoness to shake on the agreement.
"Alright then," the drake said, before taking Mina's claw and shaking it; signifying the acceptance of their agreement.
"When the elections had finally come around, Ari and I got to work on our campaign and the trail was average at best, we just basically said all the issues with the city, which then led to a bit of a heated discussion between the mayor and me,"
"I see," Spike said,
"Anyways," Mina continued, "After the last debate, which probably could have ended without me and the mayor going at it again, Ari and I left home that night, and by the next morning, I hear a banging on my door, and when I opened it, I saw Ari carrying a newspaper...
"Mina!" Ari shouted with great shock and excitement as she banged on the door of her friend's apartment room, "Mina open the door it's important!"
Mina slowly rose up from her bed with a groan, and slowly made her way to the living area, and towards the door of her low-priced apartment.
The drake opened the door, to see her friend's bewildered expression, "what is it," she asked with a bit of an irritated tone.
The drake then looked down to the newspaper that her friend was holding, and her pupils shrank: with a majority vote of 150, the candidate of the Liberal Draconic Party; Mina, has been elected as the new mayor of Fillydelphia.
"That's basically how it happened," she said, finishing up her story, "Ever since I got into office, I've been swamped with paperwork, It feels good just to get a second to chill for a bit, you know," Mina said as she smiled at the purple dragon.
"Definitely," Spike replied, smiling back at the young mayor.
"Mayor Mina," A familiar voice called at the two, causing the dragons to turn their attention over to a certain lavender alicorn; Twilight quickly trotted up to Spike and Mina, with a grand smile directed at the young mayor, "I'm so glad to see you could make it," Twilight said, as she stopped in front of the two, and extended her hoof, to which the mayor reciprocated with a shake, to greet the dragoness.
"Of course, I would be here, Princess Twilight" she stated, "I wouldn't miss this chance for the world,"
"I'm glad to hear that," Twilight responded, "you can just call me Twilight, by the way,"
"R-right, sorry," Mina said with an embarrassed look on her face,
Twilight chuckled, "It's alright," she reassured the drake, "anyways, I wish to welcome you and you're-" Twilight craned her neck to the right of the drake, "where is your student if you don't mind me asking?"
The dragoness cocked her eyebrow, "huh-" she turned to her right to see that not only was her student far from her but that he was many feet away from the trio, "Oh for- Tre!" she called out to the pudgy drake, who turned his attention from the interior of the hall over to Mina.
The green drake glared at the three with an annoyed look on his face, a look that basically said I don't want to be here. But rather than fight her, the drake flew over to the mayor and headmaster and landed in front of them, "What is it," he said in a blasé tone.
"I'm trying to introduce you to Princess Twilight Sparkle," the mayor responded, glaring back at the male drake, "so cut the attitude, Tre,"
"Whatever," Tre muttered, crossing his arms in irritation.
Mina turned back to the princess of friendship with an apologetic smile, "Sorry about that Twilight," she said before bowing to the alicorn, "anyways, this is Tre-" she gestured over to the scowling dragon, "He's the son of a friend of mine; back at Tre's old school he was an AB honor-roll student, and even took some advanced classes in Middle school-"
"Are you trying to enroll me in this place, or are you selling me off like some kind of crystal-pony slave?" Tre sharply interjected, receiving a glare from the magenta dragoness.
"I'm just trying to tell the princess about your achievements, alright,"
"Why didn't you just give them my transcripts?"
"I did," she stated, "I just wanted to remind her of them, I'm pretty sure miss Sparkle has read them,"
Tre scoffed, "Then this whole introduction thing is absolutely retarded," without another response, the drake quickly walked off, leaving behind Twilight, Spike, and an annoyed mayor.
"Well," Twilight began, "Seems like somedragon got up on the wrong side of the bed,"
"I'll say," commented Spike
As the drake disappeared from the three, Mina let out a long sigh, before explaining why exactly Tre was enrolling into the academy, "That's why I want to enroll him in this school; he's a super smart kid, but, he tends to be a bit of a-and excuse my Prench-a bit of a smart-ass from time-to-time," Mina said "because of that he gets into fights more than he makes friends,"
"I'll say," Spike repeated, which caused him to receive a glare from Twilight, "I-I mean, I'm sure it's not that bad,"
"Spike, I'm not joking when I say this, but back at his old school, even the dragons and ponies int his advanced classes didn't like him, and it got to the point where he pissed-off one stallion and got into a fight that ended with a broken snout, and a fractured wing,"
The last part of her statement, caused twilight to gasp, "Oh wow," Twilight began, "I didn't think it was that serious,"
"I just hope, that you guys could help him out," Mina said with a sad smile.
Twilight trotted over to the hopeful drake with a reassuring smile, "Don't worry Mayor Mina," she began, "I assure you'll see a totally different Tre in the coming semester, that's a promise,"
A determined smile quickly spread across Mina's muzzle, as her eyes shined with a hopeful expression, "Oh thank you so much, Twilight, I know Tre's parents would be glad to see their son make some friends,"
Spike chuckled, "with how smart he is, I'm sure he'll, wing it," the drake extended his wings out to strengthen his punchline.
The two girls let out a giggle at the drakes pun, "Heh, nice on Spike," Twilight commented.
"Yeah," Mina added, composing a bit of herself from her laughter, "By the way Spike," she continued, "where did you get those wings?"
The moment she asked that a large grin grew on Spikes' face, "Well, it all started a few months ago..." with the same tone of a storyteller regaling a great epic, Spike spoke about his new set of wings with grand enthusiasm.
Over at one of the info booths, Rarity and Rainbow Dash were handing out a few pamphlets to some of the new students, as well as some of the returning students, about the new school policies.
After chatting to one of the returning students about the new policies, Rarity quickly got up from her seat, "Excuse me for a second, Darling, I must powder my muzzle," without another word, the fashionista quickly trotted away from her station, and made her way to one of the other halls.
Once she had left, Rainbow Dash began playing with a baseball she had in her hoof, throwing it up and down repeatedly as she waited for another student to come over. After a few minutes of slow student traffic, a bored expression grew on the pegasus' face, the cyan mare was about to leave her position to check on the others, "Geez, this is taking forever," she was about to get up from her seat, but a sudden voice caught the mare's attention.
"Oh my gosh," the feminine voice exclaimed in elation, "Are you the Rainbow Dash?"
A smile of pride spread across the mare's face, as the mention of her name was enough to get her back in her seat, "The one an only," she said pridefully, before turning to see her fan; in front of the wonderbolt, there was a ginger griffon with a wide smile that displayed her green and silver braces. Around her neck, the griffon hen had a portable camera that had a few scratches on it.
Based solely on her appearance, something about the hen, screamed dorky to the athletic pegasus
The griffon extended her talons excitedly, "It's so incredulous to meet you," she exclaimed with great excitement, as she grabbed one of Rainbow Dash's hooves and furiously shook it.
"Uh, cool," Rainbow Dash said awkwardly, as she even found herself dazed by the speedy greeting.
Once the griffon released Rainbow's hoof from her grip a familiar voice called out to the ginger griffon-hen, and on cue, the two looked over to see a certain blue griffon, "Yo, Gina," Gallus shouted, as he made his way over to the booth, "I was wondering where you to-" he looked over to Rainbow Dash, "Oh hey Professor Dash,"
"Just call me Dash, kid" the mare corrected, "the whole professor thing is still kind of weird to me,"
"Right," Gallus replied in a sarcastic tone, "Anyways, it's good to see you again, it felt like forever since that whole Cozy Glow incident,"
"No kidding," Rainbow Dash replied with a smile, before looking back over to the ecstatic hen, "So, who's your friend over here?" she asked.
This prompted a quick response from the blue griffon, "Oh, this is Gina, she's a friend of a friend, who knew me mainly because some griffon told her about the academy," Gallus explained, "then she heard about how the elements of harmony, specifically you, was teaching over here, so she got all giddy and decided to register,"
The cyan mare's smile changed into a prideful grin from the fact that Gina enrolled into the academy simply because of here I guess I'm that awesome, huh? the mare thought to herself, "Well, well," she began, "Gina, I think you're gonna like it here," before taking one of the pamphlets from the stack to the right of her, she then pulled out a small white card from under her baseball cap.
"Here's some stuff about our sports programs, and if your ever in town again-" Before the mare could finish her sentence, a sudden shout caught everyone's attention.
"Hey everypony, look outside!" a light-green colt shouted
As if on cue everyone, including Rarity who had just got back in time, who was in the hall either looked out the windows or went out to the front door to see all the commotion.
A few miles from the school courtyard, was something that almost everycreature had not seen in, or outside of, Equestria; pulling up to the school was a pearl-white, stretched out, ponyless carriage that somehow drove itself all the way to the yard.
The carriage slowed down its acceleration, as it approached the yard of the school, and finally made its stop right in front of the yard. Getting out of the front seat of the carriage, was a well dressed Diamond Dog wearing a pinstripe black suit and a chauffer's hat.
The dog walked over to the far end of the carriage and opened the door on the left side of the strange vehicle, and stepping out of the weird carriage were three more Diamond Dogs, all of whom wore some royal attire.
There were two golden-furred dogs and a black poodle dog; from the looks of it, the black poodle and the labrador-retriever diamond dog were the adults, while the other dog, who appeared to be labradoodle mix, was the youngest of the two
While most of the school patrons were surprised mainly by the fact that Diamond Dogs had approached their school, most of the males, and even some of the female, their gazes we directed towards the female lab, whose golden locks of fur, physique, and stunning face, attracted most of their attention.
Including a certain blushing, purple, drake, who gasped at her seemingly angelic appearance, "Whoa,"
While everyone seemed intrigued by the strange vehicle, Rarity, as well as some of the other mane six, were shocked by their appearance, as the last time she encountered that species, they were less than kind to her.
The unicorn mare quickly trotted over to Twilight, who was making her way over to the large entrance doors, "Twilight," she shouted quietly, "Darling, we have a problem,"
"What's wrong?" the alicorn asked, who continued to trot over to the doors
"I don't know how, but three of those filthy diamond dogs somehow got to the academy, and-" before she could finish her sentence, Twilight's eyes strangely brightened at the arrival of the dogs.
"They're here already?" she said excitedly, "wonderful," Twilight quickened her pace over to the doors, and without a seconds thought, she opened them, much to Rarity's befuddlement.
By this point, Rarity was greatly confused, and shocked, by what the princess was doing, "Twilight, what on earth are you-"
"Greetings Tsar Duke and Tsaritsa Athena," Twilight greeted, before bowing to the two rulers, who both bowed back to the princess.
Those words alone quickly confused everyone who heard them, especially Rarity, who breathlessly said, 'what', as the mention of the word, Tsar once again, both shocked and confused her, "Tsar?"
