"This is my revenge!", yelled Chrysalis, as she shot a blast at Twilight, missing her left ear by three inches. Glasses shattered, plates were knocked from the tables, as everyone ducked for cover, and Cadence tried to shush Flurry Heart from crying so loud. "STOP RIGHT THERE CHRYSALIS!!", Thorax yelled, but that made her target him with rage. She fired a blast straight at him, but Pharynx saved him. "You're too young to die now, brother." he chanted as he blocked the blast with a mirror. The blast bounced off and zapped Chrysalis, but it kept flying, bouncing off the crystal wall and hitting him back, right between the eyes. Chrysalis was reduced to powder, but Pharynx was wounded badly. "Can you hear me, Pharynx?", Thorax asked his downed brother nervously. "*cough*, Yes, I can hear you Thorax, but I can not make it.", Pharynx said weakly. Then, he breathed his last. The Accident"I'm sorry, Thorax", said Celestia, "Sacrifices have to be made sometimes." Twilight was about to cheer him up, when she was interrupted by heavy coughs, and a rancid, nose-withering stink. "Rainbow, are you okay?", Twilight asked, having realized that Dash was coughing harder than usual. "TWILIGHT, IT'S YOUR TURN!!", Cadence screeched. As Cadence rushed over, Twilight had to cover her ears because Flurry Heart was screaming and crying at the top of her lungs. The little one was also kicking and squirming uncontrollably, which made it hard for Cadence to keep from dropping her. Twilight began to cough and wheeze, because the smell had gotten stronger, and she saw that a green slimy substance had leaked on one of Cadences hooves. "What happened?", Twilight asked between wheezes and coughs. "Diarrhea, due to scaring", Cadence said, shaking. "She cries loud the second she realizes that she's messed her diaper", "Hurry, her skin is hypersensitive, she can get a rash in as little as five minutes", she yelped frantically, as Twilight nodded, took Flurry Heart, and set a timer. Twilight was frantic, but stopped in her bedroom to get her niece changed. Flurry Heart felt her underside heating up due to the mess in her diaper, and began to cry louder. Twilight, working quickly, removed the smelly garment, but the initial smell was so bad, she had to wear a GAS MASK! After Twilight cleaned her up, and applied foal powder, she strapped a new diaper snugly in place. After fastening the tapes, she blew a raspberry to make Flurry giggle and go happy again However, she had shaken the powder a centimeter too close to Flurry's nose. So, when she blew the raspberry, the extra powder puffed up in Flurry Heart's face, tickling her nose. Flurry Heart suddenly sneezed, and shot a blast from her horn by mistake. Twilight was thrown backwards against the wall, and was dizzy for a moment. Suddenly, She felt a little queer, because something was happening on her back. Then, she felt her wings being torn off, and she screamed LOUDLY, in AGONIZING PAIN! Flurry Heart squeezed her eyes shut, and covered her ears. She had never heard her aunt scream like that. She scribbled "HELP", on a piece of parchment , and flew out. Her ears were still ringing, but her parents, Twilight's parents, Starlight, the rest of Twilight's friends from Ponyville, Luna, and Celestia followed her to Twilight, who had woken up by that point. Looking for SolutionsNo one could understand what had happened to poor Twilight, but Celestia had a theory on where to find a solution to the problem. Neighsay volunteered to assist with the search. Two hours later, at "The Castle of The Two Sisters": They searched the library for a while, until Neighsay found a well-worn leather book. "Your Highness, would this be of any help?", he asked Celestia. "Equestria's Ancient Ceremonies, and Rituals", said Rainbow Dash, reading the title after blowing off the dust. Rarity turned to a marked page, labeled "Alicorn Appendage Restoration Ritual". There was a story explaining the purpose of the ritual, and when it was last used. Luna, Celestia, Cadence, Rarity, Shining Armor, Twilight Velvet, Night Light, Starlight, Rainbow, and Fluttershy, all stuck themselves with lancets to extract the blood samples. Luna, Celestia, Cadence, Rarity, Starlight, Twilight Velvet, Night Light, and Shining Armor extracted samples of their own magic. Luna, Celestia, Cadence, Rainbow, and Fluttershy preened their wings to get feathers. Applejack heated a goblet of cider until it was steaming, then everyone put the special ingredients in, creating the potion that Twilight was to drink. Nopony knew who would zap the potion to activate it, then Flurry Heart flew away from Cadence, confusing her for a second. Cadence then understood what her daughter was doing, when a blast flew from Flurry Heart's horn. The potion took on a warm glow of amber, and Twilight raised the goblet to her muzzle. "Will it hurt?", Twilight asked Luna. "I am afraid so.", Luna replied. Twilight gulped in nervousness to hear her say that, then drank the potion slowly. For a moment, it seemed like nothing was happening. Suddenly, without warning, "YAAAHHH, I'm getting a headache.", Twilight yelped, as she dropped the goblet to the floor of the room where it shattered. Then, she felt a burning sensation on her back. Then suddenly, reflexes forced her to stand on her back hooves as if she were a person, and not a pony. "What's happening around her neck and her front hooves?", Rainbow nervously asked Luna, when she saw that all three spots were glowing with bands of bright purple light. "COVER YOUR EYES NOW!!", Luna shouted. Suddenly, Twilight's neck and hooves shot into straight positions, as the rings became beams that encircled her head and her hooves. She felt agonizing pain, and screamed as she felt what would seem to be wings, physically growing from where she felt the burning on her back. She screamed louder as the pain worsened. Then there was a flash that blinded everyone, and Twilight's agonizing scream faded. Author's Note The part where beams shoot from Twilight's head and front hooves resembles the scenes in Doctor Who, when he regenerates. Release and RecoveryWhen the light cleared, there was a crystal where Twilight was. Rainbow noticed a faint layer of dust over it, and blew it off with a few strong flaps of her wings. Everyone was confused as to what they saw next. It seemed as if Twilight's life had been rewound to the point when she was a newborn filly, sleeping and wrapped snugly in a baby blanket. "Has her life been rewound?", asked Twilight Velvet. "No, I think it's an illusion.", said Celestia. "I remember this happening when this was used on me.", said Luna. "Luna's right.", said Rainbow, as Rarity zapped the crystal to see if Twilight was inside. Sure enough, Twilight was inside, completely normal but unconscious, and her new wings were spread wide. Moments later, the crystal began to crack and glow simultaneously, then it came apart with an explosive shatter, throwing shards in all different directions. Twilight dropped to the floor, and stayed asleep. Three days later, Twilight woke up shivering, even though Celestia had tucked her in bed at her castle. Twilight was grateful that everything was back to normal with her. She warmed back up quickly, and went out to talk to her friends "I was unconscious, but I could still feel cold around me, even after I woke up.", she told her friends. "Well, at least you have your alicorn abilities back.", said Rainbow. "Yes, I do.", she said. THE END The Guests arrive, and the party beginsTwo days later... They said: "Dear Friends and Family, My friends and I would love to invite you to a special party. It is my parents' 23rd anniversary. The party will be at my castle, starting at high noon. My parents would love it if they could see you. Signed, Princess Twilight Sparkle" Rainbow Dash gave Twilight a brilliant idea: First, blindfold Night Light and Twilight Velvet.
