Chapters Supernatural: Season 1 Episode 1: The Beginning
Prologue: Unhappy Reunion
'It's been years since all of the girls were together, they moved on. I did too, and I couldn't be happier. I am with the man of my dreams, we are living together and we are both attending a prestigious college and I got out of the life that my family is living.' Twilight thought to herself, not realizing that Flash Sentry was standing right behind her.
"So Twilight you thought about what you're gonna wear this year?" Flash asked bluntly.
"Um, well no I haven't." Twilight said as if it were supposed to be obvious.
"Well you should at least come with me to the Halloween party, Twi." Flash said hoping she would listen.
"Come on, you know I don't like parties or Halloween." Twilight said with a smile.
"Come on, would you do it for me, please?" Flash said, trying to pull puppy dog eyes.
"Fine but you owe me." Twilight said with a mischievous smile.
"What'll it be this time?" Flash asked, hoping Twilight would not try something that involved trying to woo her.
"You will need to write me an essay on why someone really athletic would love someone really smart." Twilight said with some confidence.
"Do you really need to bring that kind of work into our bedroom, also, where is Spike, I haven't seen him since Thursday." Flash claimed, trying to change the subject.
"Yes, and Spike is with Sunset Shimmer, I was planning on catching up with the family since they said they'd be in the area." Twilight said, looking slightly upset.
"Speaking of which, how come you never talk about em, I mean, the things you told me about them makes them look like the dream family.
Twilight simply looked at Flash and smiled, the fact is he was
"Well, I don't really feel like talking about it, not right now anyway." Twilight said, looking sadder than she did before.
"Well, we should head off, the party starts in 20 minutes." Flash said in an attempt to lift her spirits.
Later that night, the two of them had left the bar, Twilight was driving because Flash was drunk, Twilight frowned when she saw the 67 Chevy Impala.
Twilight got Flash in bed, and proceeded to tell the group in the Impala that it wasn't a really good time and asked them to leave, and that she see them tomorrow.
The next morning, Flash woke up with the worst hangover of his life, who was there to hand him a bucket and a plate of fried eggs and bacon, the only person who could make his life hell: Twilight.
"I told you last night that if you got drunk you would be given a quick sober method." Twilight said with crossed arms.
"Do I really have to eat this?" Flash asked with a look that suited his current condition.
After 3 hours, Flash was finally back to his old self. He and Twilight went to the local motel to meet with Twilight's family.
"Flash, I want you to at least try and make a good impression, unless you want them to try and shoot your head off." Twilight said as Flash just looked at her with a horrified expression.
Twilight simply laughed uncontrollably and almost lost her lunch thanks to the lack of air and all the speed bumps.
"Not funny Twilight, it's bad enough that you know how to use a gun and almost shot my face, but the fact is, if you weren't 'experimenting' on the extent to which one women can pleasure herself without help." Flash said, making the atmosphere in the car rather uncomfortable and Twilight blush a darker shade of red than blood.
After 10 minutes of awkward silence, the pair had finally arrived at the motel, being greeted by Twilight's brother, Shining Armor.
"Well, I'll be damned, my sister finally found herself a guy to share the bed at night with." Shining Armor's blunt statement had made the pair blush harder than when they were in the car.
"Shining, don't tease your sister, especially since she didn't tease you when you got with Cadence." Night Light said with a smile.
This made Shining Armor blush, Twilight laugh and Flash smirk.
"I don't know why you're laughing Twilight, I could tell That fine young man a number of things that would make even the worst of the worst blush."
"Do it and I'll find a crossroads and make a deal to send you to the moon." Twilight said as her sister in law Cadence walked up to Twilight and hugged her.
"Uh, what are you talking about?" Flash said, making Twilight realize that she had literally just tipped him off to her old life.
"Look, I think we should talk, and inside." Twilight said with a slightly saddened expression.

Chapter 1: Welcome to the Family
"So let me get this straight, you guys hunt monsters, as in real life monsters?" Flash asked, pacing around in anger.
"Yes, you see, I was ambushed quite a few times, by those things." Twilight said, hoping to try and grab Flash's attention.
"Don't try to make things look like a joke." Flash shouted, making Shining Armor draw his hunting knife. "The part that hurts me the most is that you lied to me about everything." Flash said, making Twilight look down in shame.
"That's enough, you need to back down or I'll show you just how protective we are of each other." Shining Armor shouted, causing Night Light to intervene.
"Enough! Shining, go and get yourself a drink, then take a walk, and no stopping at the bar."
"Yes sir." Shining Armor said, pretty well storming out of the room.
"You'll have to forgive my son, the last time anyone tried to get close to her, the almost killed her." This made Flash look at Twilight with a rather repentant expression.
"I'm sorry, I didn't know, but I just wish you had told me sooner." Flash said, after sitting next to her.
The moment seemed almost too perfect, which is when Twilight realized that there was some one pushing the scene.
"CADENCE!" Twilight shouted as an older women came into the room. "Why are you always doing this to me?" Twilight asked with a frown.
"Sorry, but the situation demanded I did." Cadence said with a sly smile.
"Wait, where is mom?" Twilight asked, seeing as she hadn't seen Twilight Velvet while she had been there.
"Velvet is on a hunt, a Skinwalker, I'm actually surprised that you never picked up on that." Night Light said with a slight hint of disappointment.
Hearing this caused Flash to tense up a little, Twilight was the only one to notice, but she was still getting the feeling that he wasn't telling her the truth either.
"Actually, it turned out to be just a rabid dog, but I put it out of it's misery anyway." Velvet said after opening the door.
"Well then, I see that we have a new arrival to the family, tell me, how long have you been a Skinwalker?" This made Twilight look at Flash in shock.
"I was born one, but you can rest assured that i was raised to not eat hearts, in fact, I was the first to leave a pack and seek a normal life, and all the while, my parents kept on telling me that I would be hunted." Flash said, making everyone else in the room ease up a little bit.
"I knew there was something different about you, you want to have a go at me for not telling you about my past, but then you go and hide this, guess that makes us even." Twilight said, having a little more restraint than Flash did.
A few hours passed while everyone in the room got acquainted, Shining Armor was less apprehensive towards Flash, and then Night Light came up with the most absurd idea he could think of.
"So Flash, you up for a hunting trip?" Night Light asked a little too bluntly.
"What kind of hunt?" Flash asked, hoping it wouldn't involve other Skinwalkers.
"Well I just found something about some bizarre deaths, and it just so happens that there have been reports of ghost sightings, so I thought we could check it out." Night Light said.
"Perhaps we could do this during the break, I mean it's a great opportunity." Flash said, making Twilight a bit happier.
"Well, we can go pack some things, and then we'll meet you back here, that okay with you Flash?" Twilight suggested as Flash just nodded.
After driving back to the apartment Flash and Twilight packed some clothing, Flash also packed a necklace, given to him by his parents.
"Flash, are you sure you want to do this, especially given your past?" Twilight asked, hoping not to push into a touchy subject.
"Yeah, I mean I haven't done anything like this since my days as a pup." Flash said, making Twilight ease up ever so slightly.
After they finished packing their things, Twilight and Flash drove back to the motel, met up with Twilight's family, and left for the location of the murders.

Chapter 2: Plan of Attack
It took all night to arrive at the town where the deaths were located, which they now knew as San Francisco, Flash recognized the land marks instantly.
"Uh, guys, we gotta get out of this town immediately!" Flash said, worrying Twilight and the others.
"Why?" Twilight asked.
"Because this town is where I was born, and where my pack is living." Flash said with a worrying hatred.
"So does that mean we're probably gonna run into your pack?" Shining Armor asked with a hint of fear in his voice.
Flash picked up on his fear, and was choosing his words carefully, but also wanted to get back at Shining for his shouting match.
"Most likely, but if we do then just let me do the talking." Flash said, making Shining Armor ease up a little.
It took half an hour to find a cheap motel, then another half an hour to unload all of the things, and then Flash sensed something, something that made him stiffen with worry.
"Well, I think it may be too late to avoid the pack, they caught on to my scent and followed us here, they booked the next room over." Flash said worryingly.
"Well that isn't the only thing to worry about, there's a group of vampires in the room across from us." Twilight said, making the others freeze with worry.
"Well that is just great, anything else that we really didn't need to know or is that it!?" Shining Armor shouted loud enough for the skinwalkers to hear.
It was only a few minutes later, but there was a knock on the door, and Flash knew who to expect.
As he opened the door, he was greeted with a massive hug, and then he saw someone he never expected to see again, his parents.
"Well, it seems that after all this time, you finally came back Flash, tell me, who are these hunters, and why are you allowing them to use you?" Flash's mother asked menacingly.
"They aren't using me, and we're just hunting down some local creatures, you wouldn't happen to know about some recent murders would you?" Flash asked, making his mother grimace.
"Look, we won't lie, these murders have brought quite a few hunters to our pack, but we know nothing, we suspect it to be the work of a nest of vamps who're hanging around, and they're also targeting livestock, we've quarreled in the past, but they claim no knowledge of these murders either, so yeah, but do try to introduce the girl when you get the chance." Flash's mother said, making Flash blush and Twilight squirm.
"One condition..." Flash said, making his mother frown.
"What is it?" She asked.
"...You don't try to force either one of us to stay." Flash said with forceful resolve.
"Fine, but that doesn't mean you won't be helping out." She said, making Flash frown.
She finally left, and Flash turned in time to be met with a forceful slap.
"Let me guess, you think I'm just gonna waltz up to a bunch of skinwalkers, who are gonna do nothing but try to make us stay right?" Twilight asked angrily.
"No, quite the opposite, we're going to use this opportunity to investigate them, find out what the others know, that keeps them happy, and we get information." Flash said, looking her directly in the eyes.
"Well then, while that's being done, Shining can ask the locals while Velvet and I ask the Authorities." The moment Night Light had finished everyone nodded, and started getting ready, they knew this would take a long time.

Chapter 3 Part 1: Meeting the Pack
"It took Flash and Twilight about an hour to find the location of the local pack's den, they were at the cave mouth when Flash stopped rather suddenly.
You okay there, Flash?" Twilight asked out of worry, in an ironically soothing tone.
"Yeah, it's just that I haven't seen my pack in such a long time, so I guess it's just a nerve-wracking experience, coming back and seeing the pack again." Flash said, looking slightly anxious.
"Well it's far too late to turn back now big brother." Came a voice that virtually hypnotized Flash and locked him in place.
"Are you going to just stand there looking like a tree or are you going to introduce us?" Twilight asked, snapping Flash back into reality.
"Twilight, this is my little sister Light Step, Light Step, this is my girlfriend, Twilight." Flash said as the two girls approached each other.
"Pleasure to meet you Twilight." Light Step said with a smile as she shook hands with Twilight.
"Likewise, Light Step." Twilight said, returning the smile and handshake.
It was then that both Flash and Twilight noticed a figure standing at the entrance to the cave.
"Hello father it's been some time." Flash said, not looking away from the man in front of them.
"It is good to see you and what you look like." Flash's father said with a smile.
"The feeling is mutual father." Flash replied.
"It seems that my son has forgotten his manners, my name is Skillful Hunter, Hunter for Short." Hunter said.
Not so, Flash was simply stuck in his own mind reliving old memories, just like last time he was here." Light Step said, hiding her smirk.
"Well either way, you're just in time for the nightly hunt, we could use a skilled tracker." Hunter said with a practiced smile.
"Hang on a minute here, I can't exactly eat the raw meat that you guys can, so if it's alright with you I am going to find a diner and order a salad." Twilight said, before someone asked her to join in the hunt.
"I see, well if you come inside, you can use the kitchen, we have the place setup like a house so that it doesn't attract the wrong attention." Hunter explained.
"I thought Skinwalker packs hated grouping up in a domestic setting, and using it as a den, a meeting place maybe, but not a den." Twilight said, recalling some lore on Skinwalkers, and gaining three 'are you serious?' looks from the others.
"Twilight, surely you do realize that you're being stereotypically racist with that comment right." Flash said.
"Sorry, I guess it's just the Brainiac in me and I also forget that there are some that don't act like the rest." Twilight said, looking slightly embarrassed.
"Well father, shall we go inside, or will we freeze to the death outside?" Light Step asked rather rudely.
"Light Step, how dare you speak so rudely to your father, especially since we have guests, because of this you can now go and peel the carrots and pumpkin that I have out for our guest." Flash's mother said, looking as furious as Night Light did when Twilight said that she was leaving.
"What, but I wasn't trying to be rude, I was just trying to be considerate of Twilight, please don't make me stay." Light Step begged.
No buts, you did the wrong thing, now you can do as you're told, or you won't be seeing the outside of that thing you call a bedroom for the remainder of the moon cycle." Flash's mother finished saying her part, and the threat caused him to smile, briefly lost in his nostalgia.
Flash, just because you've grown up doesn't mean you're above the rules of this home, I can still keep you here as well." Flash's smile faded slightly at hearing this.
"Forgive me mother, I was simply getting nostalgic, I haven't forgotten my place here." Flash said, trying to show that he doesn't need to be treated like a child."
While everyone was simply catching up, Twilight had been standing there just while they had spoken to one another, but she was starting to get a little cold.
"Um excuse me, sorry to interrupt everyone but could we please go inside, I'm getting rather cold?" Twilight asked, emphasizing with a slight shiver.
"Quite alright, I agree, Light Step, you can go start taking care of those carrots and pumpkin slices please." Flash's mother said as they all started walking in.
"By the way Twilight, my name is Great Friend, but my nickname and my preferred title is Terra." She said with a smile.
"Well it's nice to meet you properly Terra." Twilight said, returning the smile.
"So the entire pack helped contribute to putting this place together?" Twilight inquired.
"Yes, in fact it was my idea to do this, and include the kitchen, they forget that I'm unable to eat their food due to being human."
"Wait, you're human, like me?" Twilight said loud enough to make Light Step jump.
"Yes, in fact, Hunter met me in a very similar way to how you met Flash." This made Twilight curious, she looked away from the stove while the kettle was heating up.
"So he ran away from the pack?"
"Not exactly..."
"Then how?" Twilight asked, accidentally cutting Terra off.
"Well, I found him injured while I was searching for some berries, he was in his animal form, so I took him home, patched him up, and when he was fully recovered, he took back to the place where I found him, and he transformed, of course I was going through that lovely time where I was curious, so the following actions resulted in my pregnancy with Flash." Terra explained, choosing not to be graphic in front of Light Step.
"That must have been hard on you, and the thought of explaining it to your parents must have been terrifying." Twilight said, wondering if she was actually being nosy now.
"Not really, my parents didn't care about me, and I was being taken into care only a few weeks later so it was an easy enough choice to leave." Terra said, leaving Twilight speechless.
"Well I'd like to change the subject if it's okay." Twilight said, getting slightly uncomfortable.
Terra nodded as she motioned for Light Step to go to her room as the end part of her punishment.
"Well, you said that the recent string of deaths was all due to the vampires that recently settled into town, yes?" Twilight asked hesitantly.
"Yes, but I only said that because I didn't want Flash trying to make the same mistake Hunter made." Terra said looking down at her now trembling hands.
"What do you mean?" Twilight asked.
"The first death was a local man who had a high role in the city and as our pack leader, he approached the vampires and offered them a place with us so that they didn't need to keep moving, but the next day he was found hanging from the spire of the local church house." Terra said, trying not to hold back tears.
"I see, so Hunter chose to suspect the vampires and now there's tension between this pack and the vampires right?" Twilight summed up into a question.
"Yes, but I am beginning to think that there is a hunter who strayed from good and started to murder everything, mainly because vampires are also victims." Terra said, now starting to shake.

Interlude: Twilight's First Hunt
It was dark, and Twilight could barely comprehend the fact that she was on a hunt, on her own. She was afraid, but she was hunting a fang, and it meant getting her hands dirty.
She also knew that the vampire she was hunting had a child, then ate the father. She shuddered at the thought of such a violent act. It was a sad thought, to have to off a child.
"Excuse me miss?" The voice of a child snapped Twilight out of her thoughts.
"What's the problem?" Twilight asked.
"I can't find my mommy." The boy said.
"Okay, I'll help you." Twilight said.
3 hours was all it took, and Twilight was beginning to regret her choice to help.
She had been led right to a nest, and she was shocked to discover a lack of human blood. She also figured out that not every creature deserved to die.
This was what caused her to abandon her first real hunt and get into a full blown argument with her family ultimately causing her to leave. Ending up going to school and college etcetera etcetera.

Interlude: Flash's First Pack Hunt
"Flash, come here now." A woman called, as a young pup came into the room.
The pup, instantly morphed into a human being, and walked up to the woman.
"Yes mom." The boy said
"The pack leader has decided that you will join in the next hunt." The mother said as Flash looked at his mother and grimaced.
"But I can't hunt, you know that." Flash said with a hint of despair.
"That is why you will track our prey." This made Flash smile.
Flash was by far the best tracker of the pack especially given his age, the pack leader was impressed.
When night fell, the pack had begun their hunt, Flash found a great lead, and tracked it all the way to a clearing, and the pack leader ordered an attack, the resulting meal made Flash feel uneasy, and it resulted in an argument with his parents, and the next day he simply left home.

Interlude: Light Steps' Friend
'It isn't fair!' Light Step thought as she simply started undressing herself. "I wonder what mother would think if I wanted to run off with some man I just met." She thought out loud, not caring if she was heard.
Light Step jumped as she heard a thump against her bedroom window, she wrapped herself up in her blanket, went to the window and saw her best friend.
Light Step quickly got herself dressed and went downstairs after having been called. When she got there, she was warned to behave from here on out or she would be the last to eat.
As soon as her mother had finished speaking, Light Step asked if she could go out for a bit. When her mother said yes she yelled goodbye and ran out the door
Light Step caught up with her friend and the two of them started walking.
"You remember who I am, right?" The girl asked.
"Sure, your name is Flutter Butter." Light Step said without any hesitation. She was offended when her friend thought she had forgotten something so important.
"You do know that my family has nothing to do with the murders right?" Flutter Butter asked.
"Sure I do." Light Step said wanting to change the subject. "Wanna pick up where we left off last time." She asked awkwardly.
