A slew of portals opened up and dropped a random assortment of humans all around Canterlot proper. 600 new souls lost and confused in a brand new land. Not trusting any of the humans she sees, and not trusting the ponies in this world, she reluctantly agrees to become the mediator for both groups of beings, mainly to keep an eye out on both of them. A year of negotiations, fights, border skirmishes, and treaties has led up to the culmination of the treaty signing in the Crystal Empire. For the last six months Cadance has taken up Corrie as her student in all things Equestrian, and a blossoming friendship grew. And now the night before the treaty singing was here. It was time to celebrate and relax. Cadance has other plans set aside for her friend, however.
