The two guards made there way back to base camp to tell the princesses the news.

As they arrived at the camp they found themselves faced with two pretty pissed pony princesses.

They started sweating profusely as they got closer.

“If we get fired for this I’m blaming you.” Said guard #1.

“And if we do get fired I'm blaming you.” Said guard #2

As they were in front of the princesses all was silent, until...

“He did it!” Exclaimed both guards together.

The princesses looked at them both confusedly.

“Did what?” Questioned Celestia.

“Yes, pray tell, what didst thou do?” Her face morphing into a slight frown.

The guards were beyond scared at this point and both spoke in unison

“Its his fault that captain Mystic Night isn’t here!” They were panicking now

Both princesses raised an eyebrow.

“dost thou care to elaborate on thine statement?”

This was not their day.

As we were walking in the forest I thought about some things I wanted to ask her.

“So what type of pony are you, I know about the unicorns pegasi and the earth ponies. but what are you?”

A look of contemplation came over her face.

“Well I'm not really a pegasus, though we do look a lot like them, sometimes we are called bat ponies while this is somewhat accurate it is offensive.” She replied.

“Then what do you call them?”

“The official name would be thestral, though we are usually found in caves, we don’t really have much contact with the outside world, Does that sate your curiosity, little one?”

“Well kinda, there was another thing I wanted to ask.”

“And that would be?” Quizzed the guardmare.

“How mad is your ruler? I mean they did send the captain of the night guard after me.” I scratched my head as I looked at her.

“Way to go for the throat, little one.”

“Well I kinda did leave a trail of bodies in the middle of the forest, so I figured they would be more than a little mad at this point, more like livid..” My brows scrunched up as I frowned.

She gained a sheepish look on her face.

“Well livid would be more of an understatement at this point, they aren’t exactly pleased with the things that have happened tonight.” She said.

“I didn’t mean to eat the animals. I just smelled somthing andthenIwaschewwingonthemanditwasstillaliveanditwasscreamingandflailingandIkilleditandIdontwannabeamonster” I was bawling at this point.

After I started she got this weird look on her face, confused? Upset? unsure?

She started reaching towards me but pulled back.

Whatever internal battle she was fighting was eventually won as I was pressed against something warm and fuzzy, Then wings enveloped me in a tender embrace.

“Calm now little one, you are safe here with me, I swear to you.”

I wasn’t quite sure what I felt at this moment as I sat there under her ministrations. It was… nice.

“And that’s what happened.” My partner finished our tale.

At the moment I felt the heat radiating off of Celestia and the sheer cold off her sister I knew..

We had fucked up.

The frost began creeping up my legs, and I swear I saw a fire ignite at my hooves.

“Are we there yet?” He asked for the 1,000,000th time.

“For the last time no! We are not there yet!” My temper was way past the boiling point.

“Where are we even going anyways?” He questioned from astride me.

“Somewhere safe.”

“That doesn't tell me anything.” He replied.

“Well I'll stop being vague when you return the favor.” turning my head back I gave him a slight glare.

“Touche.”

“Well does this place we're going have a name? Is it a city? A town? Anything? Anything at all?”

Sighing I begin to ponder why I even bothered to help him in the first place.

“Baltimare”

“Baltimare huh? Now where have I heard that name before?” He looked down frowning.

I heard a deafening smack as my head snapped to him to see his head cradled his palm.

“Oh my god that’s horrible.”

“What, is there something wrong with baltimare?” I gave him a questioning look.

“Its a bad pun is what it is.” I heard him grumble.

I don’t even know what he meant by that and it didn't look like he was going to elaborate, so I just left it at that.

“And how long until we get there?”

“You know i could just drop you.” I slowly turned to look at him as I laid my eyes on him he froze.

“Shutting up now...” He whimpered.

With that I turned back around and continued flying.

The princesses were leading the search for the captain and creature. Their fury was still burning hot as they charged through the woods after their quarry.

“It went this way!” The cry of one of the trackers resounding in their ears.

“Forward ponies, we hath no time to lose.”

“When we approach the creature do not engage. Set up a perimeter around the area nothing gets in.” barked Celestia

As we used the cover of darkness to conceal our path. We were snaking our way through the cityscape drawing closer to our goal. We were making good time and eventually came upon a rather large waterfront property.

We went up to the door and I pulled out a key and unlocked the door. As it swung open I stepped into the house and turned to tell my passenger to get off only to hear a light snoring.

When my eye fell upon him a warmth filled my chest, and as I stared at him I couldn't help but to let a small coo escape my lips. I carried him over to the couch and took the blanket I had draped over the back and laid it upon him he let out a contented murmur and rolled over and that warmth began to grow as I stood there.

I shook myself out of my stupor and reminded myself that there were things to be done. Then I crept as quietly as I could out of the door and locked it behind me with a soft click. Time to cover our collective asses.

I would like to say that the first chapter has been edited so you wont get a headache while reading like the first time. also i'm sorry but i cant fix a problem with the giberish
