Twilight has been working on a project. Something she says will finally make Equestria safe from danger. Over the course of the last months she's been slowly isolating herself from others, focusing more and more on her work. This culminated in her remaining closed inside of her laboratory for a whole week.

Concerned for the well-being of her friend, Starlight pays her a visit and the two have a discussion about what Twilight is doing and why she's really doing it.
