//-------------------------------------------------------// Redemption of a Queen -by lightningblast952- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Prologue //-------------------------------------------------------// Prologue “Honey, I'm going to pick up those DNA tests for Flurry to make sure she doesn't have any genetic diseases” Shining Armor said to Cadence, his beautiful wife. “Alright, hopefully she won't end up a diabetic like your father" Cadence half-jokingly replied to her husband, Shining Armor of course laughed and proceeded to walk out of the castle's front door. Cadence sighed and thought to herself ‘I hope those tests don't show what I think they will, especially since it has been enhanced with magic to have high accuracy with showing who the parents are...’. Shining Armor begins walking to the doctor's clinic when he spots the local donut and coffee shop. “Man I really want a donut but I need to get those tests first….. Ah screw it, the clinic is open all day and I have a craving for Boston cream plus I'm sure the ladies at the clinic would love some donuts and coffee". Shining Armor proceeded to walk into the shop, wait in line for about 20 minutes, and come back out with a small bag of donuts and a ten coffees in his magical grasp. “That took longer than I thought it would but it was worth it, those poor women work so hard and get harassed by so many sexist dirtbags. They need something to show that people care about them and not just their plots" Shining Armor said to himself with a smile on his face as he began to walk to the clinic. After a few minutes of walking, Shining Armor made it into the clinic. As soon as he walked in, a yellow Bat Pony with green eyes and a pink and red mane and tail at the receptionist’s desk spoke up “Greetings your majesty, I assume you're here for Flurry Heart's DNA tests?”. “Yes I am Ms. Star, I also brought donuts and coffee for all the employees here” Shining Armor said as he set down the bag of donuts and the cups of coffee on the desk. “Thank you so much your majesty, if there's anything I can do to pay you back, let me know" Ms. Star said with a large smile on her face, Shining Armor chuckled and said “No need for that, I just wanted to show all of you that I care". “Well thank you for that, anyways, the doctor wanted to see you. He said it was urgent, not life threatening, just urgent.” Ms. Star said before opening the door that leads to the rooms in the back, “I wonder what's going on" Shining Armor said before walking into the short hallway and eventually entering the doctor's room. When he walked in, a middle aged Crystal Pony started talking “Good morning your majesty, as I'm sure Ms. Star told you, there's something urgent I need to tell you about Flurry Heart's test results". “Just tell it to me straight doctor, what's wrong with my daughter?” Shining Armor said to the older mare, “She's fine, but she's not your daughter" the older mare said with an empathetic expression on her face. “I beg your pardon?” Shining Armor questioned the older mare, “The DNA tests say that your DNA doesn't match up with the half Flurry Heart's that it should. It claims that that the other half of her DNA belongs to someone named Sunburst". “I-I see, thank you for bringing this to my attention. If you don't mind, I'll be heading home now" Shining Armor said before grabbing Flurry's DNA tests and leaving the clinic. After about fifteen minutes of walking, Shining Armor made it back into his room where he saw Cadence sitting on the bed “You cheating bastard! I knew Flurry wasn't my daughter!” Shining Armor yelled at Cadence with tears in his eyes while holding the DNA tests for their recently born daughter in his magical grasp. “Shining there's obviously an error in the test, Flurry is OUR daughter. I didn't cheat on you!” Cadence retaliated. “Yes you did you lying snake!” Shining Armor yelled back at his wife, “I don't mean to interrupt, but is everything alright?” Sunburst asked with his head poking into the couple's bedroom door. “You traitor!” Shining Armor yelled as he grabbed Sunburst with his magic and slammed him into the nearest wall, “What did I do?!” Sunburst asked, clearly panicking. “You slept with my wife and impregnated her, that's what!” Shining Armor screamed at the traitorous unicorn. “I never slept with her, I would never break the sacred bond that is your marriage” Sunburst said as calmly as possible even though he knew that he did sleep with her. “Then why does Flurry’s DNA test say that you are a perfect match for half of her DNA and not me?!” Shining Armor asked, clearly furious and close to following his gut and snapping Sunburst's neck. Sunburst looked at Cadence and then sighed “Alright, you caught us, we have been secretly together for a few years now and only pretended not to know each other". “Both of you and Flurry are banned from the Crystal Empire, if you ever return, you will be executed. Except for Flurry, she will be sent to an orphanage far away from here” Shining Armor said before dropping Sunburst. "You can't banish me! I have more political power than you" Cadence said to Shining Armor to intimidate him. "Actually, you lost your political power for having an affair with me that resulted in a 'bastard' child" Sunburst said to correct Cadence. "He's right Cadence, now get out of here before I publicly announce your treachery" Shining Armor sneered as he stomped his hoof on the floor Shining Armor then summoned the castle's guards to escort them all out. “Bastards, how could they do this to me?” Shining Armor asked himself. “Bloody hell, I need a strong drink” Shining Armor said as he summoned a bottle of vodka, a bottle of Coca-Cola, a bottle of lime juice, and a large glass with his magical grasp. A few hours later “I am so *hic* fucking drunk, but it doesn't matter, my whole marriage was a lie" Shining Armor mumbled to himself while lying his head on his nightstand with his drink in hoof. “Sir, are you alright?” a guard asked with a concerned tone in his voice. “What do you think? Of course I'm not alright, my wife cheated on me. Now, shh, be quiet you might piss somebody off, like me. I just want to be left alone”. Shining Armor said to the guard which caused them to quickly leave the room. “I hope Celestia doesn't take them in, those fuckers don't deserve her hospitality” Shining Armor said to himself before chugging the rest of his drink and crawling into his bed. The next morning “This hangover is killing me, I shouldn't have drank so much last night" Shining Armor groaned to himself as he climbed out of bed. After his morning stretches Shining Armor went into his personal bathroom to brush his teeth and do the three S's, “Now to get some food, I wonder what my chef has in store for me today" Shining Armor said to himself as he walked out of his bedroom, down the hall, into his personal elevator, and into the chef's kitchen. “Good morning sire, today I have prepared you hydra eggs and breakfast potatoes and for a drink, a mix of mango and orange juice” a light blue earth pony with cyan eyes and a red mane and tail said with a large grin on her face, “Thank you, you always know how to make the perfect meal for me" Shining Armor said as he sat down to eat and then signaled her to sit with him. “Is there something else you need your majesty?” the chef questioned, Shining Armor looked at the mare in the eyes and said “You can quit the act Deep Dish, you know why I called you over". Deep Dish sighed and said “Yeah I know Shining, so how are you holding up?”, “Not good, after they left I got drunk and now I have a hangover" Shining Armor said to Deep Dish. “Well that was a foolish thing to do" Deep Dish said before hugging her friend, “I know, I know, I was just so angry the closest thing to me was my mini bar” Shining Armor said before hugging Deep Dish back. Deep Dish looked Shining Armor in his eyes and asked “So now that they're gone, what are you going to do? You don't have a co-ruler or an heir", Shining Armor sighed and said “To be honest, I don't know. If worse comes to worse, I'll have to marry Luna or something". Deep Dish laughed and said “I don't think she's into you or any stallion for that matter, last I heard, she was dating a walleyed pegasus mare named Derpy Hooves”, Shining Armor chuckled and said “Well at least she's happy. Although that still leaves me without a wife". Deep Dish looked around to make sure nobody was looking and asked “What about Chrysalis? I hear she's been trying to make herself a better mare but everyone chases her away with torches and pitchforks like she's an ogre or something", Shining Armor chuckled at the last remark and said “You know, I could give it a shot. If worse comes to worse, I'll kick her out” Shining Armor finished his breakfast, hugged Deep Dish, walked to the front entrance, got the attention of his guards and said “Guards, I have a new task for you. Find the former Changeling queen, Chrysalis. I want her brought here ALIVE and UNHARMED, I encourage you to put anti-magic rings on her horn so that she can't hurt you as she is now afraid of ponies and will use her magic to keep herself from being captured”.
