Rarity was in Twilight's castle brushing her hair as she was relaxing while Twilight was reading a book. The rest of their friends were at their homes leaving Twilight and Rarity alone.
As Twilight sat there she thought about her brother as she missed him a bit. She wondered how her parents were doing as well. She was going to have to pay them a visit. As Rarity sat there fixing her hair Twilight put down her book and spoke.
"Rarity can I have your opinion on something? I didn't want to ask the girls this so I waited until you and me were alone as I didn't want them to hear it." Twilight said. Rarity stopped brushing her hair and looked at Twilight.
"Sure Twilight. Is something wrong?" Rarity asked. Twilight looked at her book for a few moments and then looked over back at her friend.
"Well it's just that you know how Discord has been our friend since his reformation?" Twilight asked. Rarity nodded as she wondered why Twilight would bring this subject up.
"Uh yeah. I was there for it all Twilight. Why?" Rarity asked. Twilight frowned as she thought. Rarity was confused by Twilight's question which already has an answer to.
"Do you trust Discord?" Twilight asked her friend. Rarity rolled her eyes as she knew where Twilight was going with this.
"Come on Twilight your the princess of friendship! If your insinuating that he's lying about stuff then that's a ridiculous idea. I trust Discord more then I trust lawyers. And that's saying something." Rarity said as she continued to brush her hair. Twilight sighed.
"I'm wasn't saying that he's lying. I'm saying that we should all be careful around former villains." Twilight said, Rarity could not believe what she was hearing. Rarity glared at Twilight.
"Oh so your saying that if we should be more careful around Discord then we should be more careful around Starlight as well right? Your logic doesn't make any sense right now Twilight. How could you insinuate that Discord lying to us? What is it with you?" Rarity exclaimed.
"Well I don't know Rarity. But it seems to me that you like to cozy up to him a whole lot! What's that about huh?" Twilight asked. Rarity glared at Twilight.
"The hell are you talking about Twilight!? I'm just being friendly with him. Me and him are close like how your supposed to be his friend which right now your not acting like that." Rarity snapped back angrily.
"Yeah your being friendly with him alright. Close as in getting yourself fucked by his cock." Twilight remarked. Rarity gave her a dangerous look.
"Don't you fucking go there. What me and Discord do in our bedroom is none of your damn business." Rarity spat.
"Uh actually it is my business when my friend is sleeping with a former enemy." Twilight insulted.
"He's reformed for fucks sake! What? Are you saying that I should break up with Discord? Because you know that's not going to happen! Now stay out of business or I will get restraining order against you!" Rarity yelled.
"Fine! Go ahead and have sex with the monster! Don't come crying to me when he betrays us again! Because he will betray us. It's ridiculous how many villains we reform." Twilight yelled. Rarity sighed with annoyance.
"He's not going to betray us for fucks sake! He's on our side!" Rarity yelled. Twilight snorted at that claim. Rarity stared at her friend in disbelief as she continued to read her book.
"Yeah sure is." Twilight sneered. Rarity shook her head and walked out of the room in anger. The door slammed shut on her way out startling Twilight. Twilight was not going to back down on her claim though as she was a bit suspicious about the former villain. Although she knew that Rarity had a good point as he had been on their side for a long time now but that couldn't stop her from being alarmed.
She knew that she had to find the truth about Discord. She needed to know if he was truly good. She couldn't just take her friends word for it. She needed to know if Discord was off planning something evil.
She decided to go spy on him so she tried to go find him. When she went to go find him she saw that he was hanging out with Fluttershy. She decided to go in and see for herself. When she barged in on them they both looked at her startled but Discord spoke up.
"Hello Twilight would you like to have some tea with me and Fluttershy.....Twilight are you alright you seem a bit upset." Discord asked as his grin turned to a confused stare.
"Get away from Fluttershy!" Twilight yelled. Fluttershy became alarmed by this.
"Twilight why? What's wrong?" Fluttershy asked in confused tone.
"I don't trust him! He's been lying to us all this time! I know this!" Twilight accused.
"Wow....that's a pretty harsh accusation. What made you so mad tonight? I could make it better!" Discord joked as he prepared to use his magic. Twilight shook her head as she snarled.
"No! Now get away! You've been lying to us. Your not our friend!" Twilight yelled. Discord frowned.
"But I am your friend..." He began to say but Twilight interrupted him.
"Get out!" Twilight yelled. Fluttershy stood in front of him.
"He doesn't have to Twilight. Now if you'll please leave us alone!" Fluttershy said as she defended Discord.
"No! You don't tell me what to do!" Twilight yelled. Discord interjected.
"It's alright Fluttershy I'll just leave. I see that I'm not wanted." Discord said. He walked past them and left.
"Discord come back it's alright!" Fluttershy yelled. He didn't listen however as he already outside and walking away. Fluttershy glared at Twilight.
"Twilight!? Why did you do that!? He's my best friend!" Fluttershy yelled. Twilight decided to argue back however.
"He's faking it! He's always been faking it. A villain is always a villain!" Twilight yelled.
"Twilight he's reformed!" Fluttershy began to say.
"Bullshit! I'll never believe that! I was to stupid to believe that! I'm onto his tricks!" Twilight yelled.
"Twilight he's not going to take over Equestria for Celestia's sake! He has no reason to anymore!" Fluttershy yelled.
"A villain always has a reason Fluttershy! And he has one!" Twilight yelled.
"Yeah and what's that?" Fluttershy yelled. Twilight stammered as she couldn't think up one.
"See that's what I mean! You don't know! Now go and apologize for your disgusting behavior! Oh and by the way! Celestia will be hearing about this whole thing!" Fluttershy yelled. Fluttershy flew off to go see Starlight to find out what Twilight had been saying before coming to her cottage.
Twilight realized where Fluttershy was going and immediately felt stupid for what she had done. She realized that Starlight and Fluttershy had been telling her the truth as Disocrd looked genuinely upset and looked like alls he was doing was helping out Fluttershy but she didn't listen.
"Oh shit I'm an asshole." Twilight told herself. Later on that day Celestia had a long conversation with Twilight about her actions and convinced Twilight that a Discord was not evil anymore. Celestia had Twilight apologize to Discord for her terrible actions against him. Twilight even write a letter to the princess about her lesson that she had learned.
"Dear Princess today I learned that you shouldn't make false accusations that you have no basis for. I know know that if you have a concern about your friends then you should go tell them directly in a more polite answer instead of outright accusing them. I will never make this mistake ever again. From your faithful student Twilight Sparkle." Twilight read as she wrote.
Once Twilight wrote her letter she had Spike sent it to the Princess. The princess forgave her and had her promise to never do something like that again and Twilight promised.
