• Noting the die rolls with a dot in the centre (1, 3 or 5 in other words).
• Counting all the surrounding dots on those die.

In this case, we have a 5 and a 3. In total they have six dots surrounding them, hence the answer is six.

By the way, if you're wondering why I called the chapter that, it's because this is actually kind of easy, but only if you don't over-complicate things and try to draw upon other elements in puzzle solving you know about to solve this one.
