Strange latexpectation

Pooltoy story

In the bustling city of Manehattan, Starlight made her way to the local pool, carrying with her a couple of books and a towel. Trixie had gotten a break from her magic tours and she wanted to hang out with her for the day. being a hot summer day, it only made sense to head to the local swimming hole to hang out. She had been sent here by twilight to get some magic books for her library, but she could allow a small detour for a friend. So, after sending a letter to her, she made her way through the streets and into the local pool.

The first thing that hit her was the chlorine that was pungent in the air. It wasn't something she had dealt with before, living in small cities that couldn't afford more than a water hole to swim in. Another thing she noticed is that this was a rather small pool, being no more than twelve feet across with a incremental drop off to a deep end with diving board. In fact, aside from Trixie, who was sleeping underneath a large purple towel with stars and moons on it, and the stallion lifeguard, the place was empty of ponies.

She made her way beside the unicorn and sat her books down beside the chair. The resulting thud woke Trixie from her sleep, and she glanced over at Starlight.

“I see you got my message starlight. Wonderful, I was beginning to think you wouldn't show up.” Starlight simply rolled her eyes and levitate one of the books from her bag.

“I had some errands to do for twilight. Had she not decided to sent me up here for some school errand I doubt I would have been able to come.” She opened up the book and began to read through it, Trixie now sitting up in her chair to look at her.

“I'm guessing this is for some friendship idea that twilight wants you to work on?”

“Well, sorta. She needed some books on magic to add to the school library for lessons, so she sent me here to collect them.” She gestured to the bag near her before continuing. “I’m just surprised I was able to find you here. How did you get a whole pool all to yourself? I know your famous and all, but on a day like this I would expect at least a few more ponies at a place like this.” Trixie gave her friend a smile and made a quick flourish with her towel.
“Trixie has her ways, and the owner of this pool had a favor to owe back to me for when I did a surprise show for her daughter.” starlight nodded before returning to the page she was reading.

Trixie got out from under her towel and made her way to the diving board, jumping in without hesitation. The resulting splash was redirected to the pool by starlights magic. She resurfaced and swam to the side of the pool, waving a hoof at the water.
“Come on in, Trixie promises that it feels great.” Starlight grinned, and then gestured with the book to her bag.
“Can't afford to get the books wet. Twilight would kill me if I ended up ruining a bunch of spell books for her classes because I teleported while soaked.”

“Trixie just believes you're scared to come and swim. No worries, I can help with that.” Trixie then lit her horn, enveloping starlight in her magic and lifting her from the chair. With how sudden and unexpected it was, she ended up getting thrown into the deep end by Trixie.

Starlight burst out from the water, frantically splashing about to keep her head above water. At first, Trixie chuckled at this, thinking she was toying around. But when starlight went under and didn't reamerge, Trixie finally realized what was happening.

She quickly swam to the side of the pool and climbed out. Then, with her magic, she attempted to grab starlight from under the water. Seeing her actions, the lifeguard quickly flew down from his post and under the water. Trixie watched as the lifeguard pulled her from the water, her unconscious body on his back. She stepped to the side to allow the lifeguard to work, reviving starlight with some quick CPR.

Starlight coughed up the water, gasping for air as she finally sat up. Trixie, seeing her revived, quickly hugged starlight. She didn't say anything, instead led her out of the pool to help her rest
