this fic is told from the perspective of an expeditions leader via journal entries to expect to receive detailed descriptions of different encounters when they occur. the story takes place in a steampunk world that is slowly and painfully being taken over by some kind of dark force. will the expedition succeed and save Equis or will it fail and every creature will face the horrific eldritch tide.
