A Mission and Her Little Friends

The next morning wasn’t exactly peaceful as Mission hoped for. She woke up hearing Nic and Diana crying in their crib as they had wet themselves in their sleep. Mission got up and immediately changed their diapers and the two thanked with babble and hugs.
“Tank ya.” Diana squealed.

"Aw, are you guys ready for today?" Mission asked with a smile

The two are curious at what she has planned, hoping they have found a way to fix themselves.

"As you guys know, I work at a daycare, so i thought why not bring both of you with me, so i don't have to find a foalsitter." Mission explained to the babies

“Tha nice. Ya no wowwy.” Nic thought about it and thought it could work.

“But we be with babees.” Diana pointed out.

Nic looked to her. “Wha wwong with that?”

“They find weiwd two babees know Wong wowds.” Diana explained as she didn’t want other ponies to find out.

"Are you guys alright with that?”

After much thinking, the two of nodded to this plan and Diana wrote a note with her magic. “What about babies?”

"You guys would be playing with the other babies, though they might be older than you two."

The two nodded when suddenly, their tummies growled and they blushed at it.

"I guess you guys are hungry."

Diana giggled and rubbed her tummy to shut it up because she didn’t like it.

"Don't worry, mama will feed you." Mission said as she laid down on the floor and put the two babies by her breasts

Nic was always hungry when waking up and quickly started to drink from Mission. Diana was still hesitant and couldn’t yet reach comfortable states of drinking breast milk. In a minute, she decided to drink when her tummy growled, she becoming annoyed by it.

"There you go guys, drink up." Mission said as she looked at the two babies

The two drank like they were parasprites, drinking Mission’s milk in rapid speed

"Guys don't drink so fast, your tummies will hurt if you do."

They hear her and slow down, making sure to drink it all and in so slow a time.

Mission just laid back, waiting for the two to finish

After three minutes, both Nic and Diana detached from Mission, burping in front of her. This caused them to giggle.

"Aw, so cute!"

Mission then picked up both of the babies, then walked to the dresser, "what onesie do you want to wear guys?"

Nic pointed at the bright green one. Diana pointed at the red one that’s as red as her cutie mark.

"Okay guys." Mission said as she took both onesies out, "which one of you wants you onesie on first?"

Both raise their hooves up

Mission giggled, "I only can do one of you at a time!"

Nic put his hoof down.

"Aw, mommy's sorry nic, you'll be next." Mission said as she kissed him on the forehead

Nic babbled to Mission that it’s fine. Diana was lifted by Mission.

"You ready to be cuter Diana?"

Diana gave a assured look of bravery on her face and saluted with her left hoof.

"Aw, your to cute as it is!" Mission said as she put the onesie onto Diana; buttoning the bottom

Diana helped in closing it with her magic.

"Thank you Diana."

Diana spoke in her baby language. “Ya wewcome.”

“Me next!” Nic ordered Mission.

Mission then put the bright green onesie onto nic

Nic felt comfortable in his onesie and patted himself on the back.

Nic and Diana then admired each other and their onesies.

"You like them?" Mission asked as she picked up nic and Diana

Nic tried to fly up and thank Mission, but still couldn’t.

"Aw, well it's time to go." Mission said as she put the babies into the one seated stroller; strapping them in next to each other

Nic immediately got comfortable and looked toward Diana as she had her buckle put on by Mission.

"You guys ready?"

“Ya ba.” Nic and Diana said.

Mission smiled, thinking that they said yes and started to stroll the stroller out of the house

As the three made their way to the daycare, Nic and Diana got giggles from other ponies that believed the two were Mission’s children, but Mission said otherwise.

After a few minutes mission made her way to the daycare center

“Know something, Nic?” Diana asked when looking at the entrance.

“Wha?” Nic asked.

“Me think we no be hewe befowe.” Diana told him.

Nic then said something else. “Might have when babee fiwst time.”

"Okay guys, you'll both be in the infant room, which is the room I work in, but there's a few caretakers for that room. So if I'm busy with other babies then you guys will be taken care of by other caretakers, okay?" Mission asked as she walked into the infant room of the daycare

“What ya think?” Nic asked. “We act babee?”

Diana nodded. “Yea, no one know.”

Walking to Mission is a fellow employee, who is a unicorn in bright red mane, wavy blue coat, and a apron on her back. “Morning, Mission!” She announces herself to Mission.

"Hi neutral." Mission responded as she when to get her apron on

Neutral then saw Nic and Diana in front of Mission and got curious. “Who are these cuties? I especially like this little stallion’s glasses.” She said when putting her muzzle in front of Nic’s.

"These are two foals I'm foalsitting, the colt is nic, and the filly is Diana." Mission said

“Ha Goo!” Diana babbled to keep the illusion of a helpless baby.

"It's just easier to take them here with me then miss a day of work." Mission explained

“Are they brother and sister?” Neutral asked.

"Um yes, there twins." Mission said

Nic and Diana look up at Mission with faces of curiosity and disgust.

Mission looked down at the foals, "yep, their just two little cuties."

Still pretending to be normal babies, Nic and Diana hugged Mission’s left hoof.

"So neutral can you take these playmat?"

Neutral gleamed with smiles. “Of course, I’ll gladly take them to the playmat.” She picked them up with her magic, Nic and Diana weirded out with being lifted by magic, this caused to giggle and gasp in awe.

"Their so cute."

Neutral nodded in agreement and walked while keeping Nic and Diana hovering with her magic. She took them to a mat in the center of the room and placed on top of the mat. “You babies gonna be good?”

Thinking of a way to reply, Nic replied with incoherent babble and drooled.

While Nic was acting like a baby, Mission watched with knowledge that Nic will be fine, so will Diana.

After a few minutes of doing nothing, two foals crawled up to nic and diana, the first one was a unicorn filly, she had a light blue coat, a blue mane, and her horn looked like a icicle, the second one was a Pegasus colt, he had a yellow coat, a red, yellow, and orange mane, and like nic his wings were small,

"Hi!" Both of them yelled

Nic and Diana are stunned to actually hear them speak almost like adult.

The filly giggled, "you wook funny!"

Quickly, both regained their senses and composure, Diana speaking up. “Hewwo!” She said with a smile she could make to show zero signs of weird.

"I icy nights." Icy said

"And I star bwight, who you two?" Star asked

Nic adjusts his glasses. “Nic Newdy.”

“Diana Bwades.” Diana introduced herself

"Otay, so you two bwother and sissy?" Star asked

"Why you ask that, they don't wook awike." Icy said as she pointed at nic and Diana

"But we bwother and sissy and we don't wook awike."

"Twue, so awe you two?" Icy asked

Nic stutters and goes along with Mission’s lie. “Yea, we bwothew and sissy.” He said and put his right hoof around Diana in a brotherly hug due to him having siblings.

"Otay, so you wanna be friends?" Icy asked

“Wha ya wike?” Diana asked because she’d like to know a bit about ponies first.

"You mean wah we wike?"

Diana nodded.

"Otay, icy you first." Star said

"Otay, I wike da night, and when it cold out. But my mama doesnt wet me outside that much, onwy when we go to da park." Icy explained herself

“Tha neat. Night is fun.” Nic complimented.

"I dun tink so!" Star yelled

“Nic scawed of dawk.” Diana giggled after saying that. Nic looked at her with a face that describes annoyance.

"So is i." Star admitted

“W... well, we twins then.” Nic suggested as a way to be friendly.

"I older then star!" Icy yelled

"By wike 9 months!" Star yelled back

“We.... Uh?” Diana forgot what age she made them turn to.

“7 months!” Nic finished for her.

"You young." Star said

"You awe onwy 8 months old star." Icy said

“We awe young. Me am the cute one, though.” Nic boasted to show how manly he is to them.

"I guess you cute." Star said

"He weally cute." Icy said with a blush

Nic blushed with shocked at somepony other then Diana calling him “cute”. Nic replied with stutter. “T... tanks.”

But on the other hoof, Diana got jealous and put her hoof around Nic. “He no wan ya.”

"How you know that?" Icy asked

“He say so.” Diana said in defense of him. But she realized that her rage was getting the better of her.

"But, I didn't hear him say it!" Icy yelled

“Me sorry, me protect him.” Diana apologized and let Nic go, who was choking from the hold.

Nic caught his breath. “She do tha sometimes.”

"Otay." Icy said

“Anyway, Wha ya wan to pway?” Nic asked and searched for toys with his eyes.

"Wha bout.... Ew! What stink?" Icy yelled as she covered her nose

“Wha?” Diana asked

"Someting stinky!" Icy yelled

“It can be...” Nic looked down before he finished and saw what caused the stink. He had pooped himself.

"Wha you think it is nic?" Icy asked not realizing what nic was looking at

“He made a mess.” Diana informed them as she saw his diaper got more bigger.

"Ew! Nic's going poopie!" Icy yelled with a giggle

Trying to act like a baby, and the fact he hate that he messed himself, Nic started to cry for help.

After only a minute mission came up to Nov and picked him up, "there there." Mission cooed

Nic hugged on to Mission’s right hoof and whimpered to be clean.

Mission smiled, walking to the nearest changing table, "I know you don't like pooping yourself nic, but there's no reason to cry about it." Mission said as she laid him onto the changing table

Though he still cried, Nic sucked on a hoof for comfort while Mission cleaned him. While at the play mat, Diana watched with Icy and Star.

"Diana, why he cry so load?" Icy asked

“He hate poo.” Diana answered as she watched with concern.

"Otay, so you wanna pway with bwocks?" Icy asked

"That sounds wike fun!"

“Wait fow Nic.” Diana ordered Icy and Star.

Mission was about to finished changing Nic when Neutral came up to them. “Aww, What’s wrong with wittle Nicky?” Neutral cooed to him.

"He just needed a diaper change, he took a big poop." Mission said to neutral

“Hear that, Nic? You’re gonna be fine.” Neutral tickled Nic and cooed him the point that Nic smiled.

Mission finished changing nic, "Are you hungry?" Mission asked the baby

Nic replied with pointing to Diana and the others, who were already playing without him.

"Okay, you can play." Mission said as she put nic onto the playmat

Nic crawled to Diana, who was using her magic to shake a rattle. Diana turned around and saw Nic. “Hey, ya back.” She said.

"You no stinky anymowe!" Icy said as she hugged nic

“Hehe. Tanks. Icy.” Nic giggled out and made Icy let him go. “So Staw, wha we pwaying?”

"Me playing with bwocks, icy pwaying with a teddy bear, and Diana pwaying with a wattwe." Star said

“Why don’t we pway togethew?” Nic suggested

They all looked at nic, "wah you wanna pway?" Icy asked

“Animaws!” Nic yelled out.

"Otay, wike stuffed animaws?" Star asked
Nic nodded.

"Okay I wanna doggie!" Star yelled

“Kittie!” Nic yelled.

“Dwagon!” Diana yelled and that caused the other three to look at her. “Me wike dwagons.”

"Well me wanna fox!" Icy said

Diana used her magic to get all four a stuffed animal and hand each to them. “Ya wewcome.”

"We pway tea party with awe stuffed animaws?" Icy asked

Diana actually believed that sounded nice and spoke up. “Tha sound fun.”

"Otay, I pway that girly game." Star said

Nic just goes along with Diana.

Nic and Diana found a table and chairs and sat their diapered bottoms on them.

Icy and star did that same, "so how you pway tea party?" Star asked

“Wike evewypony ewse.” Diana replied.

"Wah that mean?" Star asked

Diana used her magic to bring plates and cups from a box on to the table.

Icy smiled and pretended to pour her fox a cup of tea, "so Diana how is you?" She asked

“Me good.” Diana told Icy.

Star whispered into nic's ear, "why they tawk wike that."

“Wha you mean?” Nic whispered back at confusion of what Star asked.

"Wike they doing smaww tawk, or that what my mama cawws it." Star said

“Ya do tha at pawties.” Nic replied.

"Oh otay, I not know that." Star said

Icy looked over at nic, "nic, I wike your coat cowouw." Icy said

Nic looked back at Icy. “Tanks.” He beamed with gratitude.

Diana complemented it too. “It nice.”

"How much wonger until nap time?!" Star cried out

“Ya wan sweep?” Diana asked as she was surprised a foal wanted to sleep early.

"Me tired." Star said with a yawn

“It no nap time yet.” Diana said when pointing at the clock.

"You can wead that?" Icy and star asked

Nic speaks for her. “Yea, she can. Diana smawt.”

"But how? Your mama teach you?" Icy asked

“Yes.” Diana spoke for herself again.

"Otay, then wah time is it?" Star asked believing that Diana was lying to them

“9:30.” Diana answered and Nic gave a clap.

Not being able to read the clock icy just said, "otay, we bewieve you."

Diana smirked and had a “Told you so” look on her face.

"So when nap time?" Star asked still being tired

Neither Nic nor Diana have an answer.

All of the sudden mission yelled softy, "nap time." And all of the caretakers started to pick up the foals and put them into cribs

But it wasn’t Mission that picked up Nic and Diana, it was Neutral. “So how are you, my little ponies?” Neutral asked as she held them with her magic.

On the other side, Neutral places Nic and Diana into separate cribs. Also giving Diana a plushie.
“You’ll be up before you know it.” Neutral kissed them both on the cheek and left them.
When trying to sleep, Nic thought to himself. “Maybe this isn’t so bad, it has nice ponies in here so far.” Nic thought to himself
Diana held a hoof out for Nic as she had quickly fallen asleep. Nic saw this and he held his out too.

Meanwhile mission picked up icy nights and star bright, "Hi you two, long time no see, right?" Mission said with a giggle, "why am I talking to foals?"

As icy and star were put into the crib they both yawned, "I more tried then i thought." Icy night said as she laid her head down

About a hour later, Nic woke up to see Mission holding him and a still sleeping Diana, who is snoring in a cute way. Nic then looks around and sees other caretakers holding other babies like Icy and Star.

"Oh hi nic, I'm sorry I didnt mean to wake you." Mission said as she slowly rocked nic and Diana back and forth slowly

“Otay.” Nic says in the baby language, but sounds like babble to Mission.

"You sleep okay?" Mission asked as she smiled; looking down at nic

Still waking up, Nic gives her a nod.

Mission heard a small yawn from the other side from nic; looking over she saw that Diana had woke up

Diana clicks her lips and opens her eyes, seeing Mission’s muzzle in front of her.

"Hi diana, sorry to wake you." Mission said

Like Nic, Diana moans and is still waking up.

"Aw, you to hungry?" Mission asked the two foals

Almost awake, Nic nods his little head.

"What about you diana?"

Diana doesn’t reply due to still being slightly asleep.

"I'm going to take that as a yes." Mission said as she took Inc and Diana into a room that was labed, 'feeding room'

Nic looked around in wonder at how huge this kitchen looked at his current size. “Awww!”

Mission smiled and walked to the fridge; grabbing out two bottles, one with the labe "nic" and another with the labe, "Diana."

Taking a quick look at the bottles, Nic jumps to a conclusion. “She put names on fow us.”

"Now I know you guys can't drink formula, so well you guys were alseep I got my breast milk into these bottles for you guys." Mission explained

The two are already used to this rather quickly and open their little mouths.

Mission smiled and put the nipple of the bottles into the foals mouths

Diana immediately got to drinking the milk she found delightful and smiled while drinking, a drip of milk coming out.

Mission smiled and cleaned up the driple of milk off of Diana's cheek

Nic, like Diana, also loved his meal and enjoyed it beyond relief.

"Aw you guys must have been hungry." Mission said as she held the foals, making sure that their heads were raised up a little

The both of them held on to their bottles and kept drinking until Nic finished it first, Nic usually being the first to finish his food.

Mission watched as nic continued to suckle on the empty bottle

Seeing the bottle was empty, Nic popped it from his mouth, blushed and giggled for doing so.

"Aw, now we just have to wait for Diana to finish." Mission said as she looked at the other baby

Slurping the last drop of milk down her throat, Diana popped the bottle from her mouth and held it with her magic.

"You know it's almost time to go home right?"

“Awwww!” Nic and Diana both moan in disappointment.

"What? Daycare isn't all day. It's from 8 to 10." Mission told the disappointed foals

“But we have new fwiends!” Diana yelled out, but she remembered that it’s gibberish to Mission.

"But don't worry, we'll be coming here next week. I only work on mondays." Mission said

“Oh yea.” Nic acknowledged Mission.

"There's about 20 minutes left until we have to go." Mission said

“Which is too bad, because I think you too are the cutest things.” Neutral joins in their conversation as she looks a bit tired.

"Oh hi neutral, how long were you standing there?" Mission asked as she looked at neutral

Neutral laughed at being noticed that she shocked somepony. “Sorry, But I was feeding a foal. I see you have done the same.”

"Yeah, they were hungry." Mission said as she looked at the foals in her arms

Neutral then asked a question that might’ve been bad for the three. “So where are their parents, by the way?”

"Oh, um they said that there going on a trip to the Crystal empire, and they didn't want to take nic and Diana cuz it's so far."

“Awww! How could they not take them there?” Neutral asked as she felt sorry for the two she believed are actual babies. “Come here!” She said when picking up Diana and giving her a hug.

“Hu....” Diana groaned for help.

Mission looked at Diana with a "I'm sorry" face

On the other hoof, Nic was just giggling when Diana had to endure the hug.

"Well i think that they need to be changed." Mission said as she took Diana back from neutral

Neutral let go of Diana and grumbled to herself about being denied holding on to her further. But to Diana’s point of view, she was just happy to be let go free.

"So see you latet." Mission said as she walked out of the room and to the nearest changing table

“Tank Cewestia!” Diana gasped for breath due to the hug sucking a bit out.

“It funny.” Nic told her.

Mission placed the foals onto the changing table, "wow, I used that as a excuse, but you guys really do need a change!"

The fact Mission got to suffer made both Nic and Diana laugh uncontrollably.

"You guys are lucky that you're cute." Mission said as she untapped their diapers

The two smirked while they were being changed.

Mission then wiped both of them at the same time, knowing that they would shaver she said, "I know it's cold but i have to do it."

"Yeah yeah." Diana mumbled

After they were clean mission put foal powder and lotion onto their butts

“Me get used to this.” Nic was still shivering from the wipes.

Mission smiled and put two new diapers onto the babies, "there, now we have about ten minutes left, want to play?"

Both quickly nodded and babbled. “Me wanna pway!” Nic yelled.

Mission smiled and put them on the playmat

The two didn’t know what to do and each picked up a stuff animal and made noises at each other.

"Wah you doing?" Icy asked as she crawled to Diana and nic

“Icy!” Diana trotted over and gave a hug similar to the one she got from Neutral.

"And star!" Star yelled

Nic spoke up. “Hi!”

"Hi nic!" Star said

Nic waved with his left hoof while holding his stuff tiger. “Sweep good?”

"Yeah, wah about you?"

Yea.” Nic and Diana said at the exact same time.
Letting go of Icy, Diana told them, “We got couple minutes, wanna pway?”

"Sure!" Icy said

Nic and Diana cheered.

"So wah we going to pway?" Icy asked

Nic looked around and spotted blocks, he pointed the others toward them. “We pway with these.”

"Otay!" Icy yelled as she crawled to the blocks

Diana immediately started to levitate the blocks with her magic and made them look like she was juggling.

"I do that!" Icy said as her horn starts to glow and a few blocks started to levitate

Diana does more with her blocks, making them fly all over the daycare.

"How you have that much magic if you foal?" Icy asked

“Me speciaw.” Diana told them like she didn’t need to fuel her ego already.

"Otay."

Diana then used her magic to stack the blocks on top of each other, creating a block tower that got everypony’s attention. One other caretaker tapping Mission.

“You see that, right?” The caretaker asked as she looked at the tower made from blocks. “That is one talented unicorn.”

Diana has her eyes closed in pride in front of the amazed foals and colts in front of her.

"How you do that?" One foal asked

"That cool!" Another one yelled

Nic was clapping and cheering for his soulmate.

"I do that if you not use all blocks!" Icy yelled

Diana then opens her eyes and is instantly embarrassed by that. “Hehe, sowwy.” She apologized.

"It otay." Star said

“See, she neato!” Nic said when getting close to Diana and hugging his “sister”.

All of the sodden there was a bell, "daycare is over for the day!" One of the caretakers yelled

Every foal and colt in the daycare looked up at the caretakers, Nic and Diana in disappointment at having to leave Icy and Star, who they are now friends with.

Star looked at Diana and nic, "bye bye!"

The two waved back and gave them a hug.

"See you tomorrow?" Icy asked

“Me no know.” Nic suggested. Mission came to the mat they are at, her uniform off.

"Alright nic and diana, time to go." Mission said as she picked the two babies up

Nic and Diana waved to Icy and Star as they were lifted and place on Mission’s back.

"So how was you day guys?" Mission asked as she walked out of the daycare

In the stroller, Nic looked behind him and up towards Mission. “It gweat!”

“Weaw fun.” Diana then said as she got comfortable in the seat.

Mission smiled thing that they said that it was fun, "I'm glade you think so."

Nic and Diana smiled at already remembering the day they had.

All of the sudden Cole miner, mission's coltfriend walked up to mission, "mission! I've been looking for you."

Nic heard the voice and looked up. “Who tha?” He asked Diana about the stallion in front of Mission.

“Cowe Minew. Mission’s cowtfwiend.” Diana explained.

"What do you want cole?" Mission asked

"I need to talk to you." Cole responded

"Can't we talk later? I'm busy!"

Nic and Diana watched with interest.

Cole then noticed nic and diana, "who are these two little cuties?"

"Nic and Diana." Mission said as she started to walk off

"You mean your friends nic and diana?" Cole asked

Nic and Diana look at Mission, their faces screaming questions at why Mission said that.

"No! I mean yes. Wait no!" Mission said nervously

“Then who are they?” Cole asked when looking straight at Diana.

"There um. Um my friends." Mission said

Cole looked at her with a face that told her he didn’t believe her.

"Diana. Show him." Mission said to diana

“Uh?” Diana looked up at Mission with curiosity.

"Just do a spell." Mission said

Diana has a lightbulb of a idea and ignites the magic in her horn, lifting the stroller her and Nic are in.

"Oh my celestia! How can a foal do that?" Cole asked

"As I said there my friends." Mission said

Diana and Nic giggled while Diana keeps the stroller in the air for a couple seconds more and they came down.

"Wow!" Cole said, "How did this happen?"

"I'll explain later. At there house." Mission said

“Wait tiw He sees mowe.” Diana told Nic as Cole followed them to the house.
