Fly to the Stars and Back (Redone)

Blitz starts to awaken as the sun comes up to find a smiling Rainbow looking at him. “Morning,” Blitz says.

Rainbow nuzzles him. “Morning Blitz.”

“How long have you been awake?” Blitz says.

Rainbow sighs. “About an hour. You looked so peaceful when you sleep.”

“Because you were close by,” Blitz says as he wraps his tail around hers.

Rainbow lays her head down on his chest again. “Yeah. When do you want to head back?”

“That depends on you. Are you sore?” Blitz asks.

Rainbow nods as she wiggles her flanks a little. “Oh yeah. You really went to work on me.”

“Well, you did ask for it wanting a little rainbow running around,” Blitz says smirking.

Rainbow holds up a hoof. “Maybe two. Let’s head back now. Everypony is probably already worried.” She said getting up and off of him.

“Nah, so who’s turn is next?” Blitz asks lifting her onto his back with his magic.

Rainbow smirks as she adjusts herself on his back. “Sorry Blitzy, not going to happen.”

“What am I going to have to do to learn the order?” Blitz asks.

Rainbow shakes her head. “No, we want it to be a surprise for you. It’s best this way.”

“So that means you keep changing it then,” Blitz says.

Rainbow bonks his head. “Now you’re getting it. Now onward.” She said pointing forward.

“So how many figured out we didn’t do that two nights ago?” Blitz asks starting to walk.

Rainbow shrugs. “A few, once they saw I didn’t have that look in my eye. But for most of them, they didn’t even notice.”

“Well, let’s tell them the truth and mess with them,” Blitz says.

Rainbow giggles. “Yeah, did you enjoy the night?”

“Yes, you were really romantic,” Blitz says.

Rainbow nuzzles him. “I just wanted something different.”

“Maybe I should take you to a ball if I am invited to it instead of the other girls.” Blitz jokes.

Rainbow chuckles. “Maybe, but for now, prank time.” She sang as they got back to the castle and went inside.

“You lead, I will follow,” Blitz says.

Rainbow smiles. “Hey girls.” Rainbow calls a little breaking in her voice.

Blitz says nothing as he takes her into the house. “Hey Rainbow,” Twilight said looking over. “How was the night?”

Rainbow smiled. “Really nice. Took him out for dinner.”

“And I see he took you last night, but unlike the previous night.” Applejack says.

Rainbow hits Blitz slightly. “Told ya.” She said to him.

“What!?” Pinkie yells.

Rainbow giggles. “Told you girls. Only Applejack was able to figure it out.”

“Not quite,” Daring says as Mary nods.

Rainbow shrugs. “Well, almost Applejack.”

“So how was it?” Mary asks.

Rainbow grins. “Like a hard rut.”

“Oh, so it was good then,” Mary says.

“And it’s my turn next,” Spitfire says now rubbing against Blitz.

Blitz chuckles. “Alright then, how do you want to play it?”

Spitfire licks her lips. “Maybe a little fun in close quarters?”

“Later Spitfire, we have a whole day ahead of us,” Twilight says.

Blitz smiled. “Just a small question? When’s the due date for our pregnant mare?”

“Soon, in the next few weeks. We did a scan and a magical prediction.” Twilight says.

Blitz nods as he moves over to Octavia. “You ready?”

“I’m thinking Azure something,” Octavia says.

Blitz chuckles. “Okay and if it’s a boy?”

“Azure Star,” Octavia says.

Blitz grins. “It’s a boy, isn’t it?”

“I asked them not to check that,” Octavia says.

Blitz nuzzles her. “You ready to give birth to the first foal of our family?”

“Yes,” Octavia says rubbing her stomach and feels a kick and smiles.

Blitz chuckles and holds a hoof to it too and feels another kick. “Now let’s hope I can be a good father.”

“You will…” Octavia says before grabbing his hoof with almost enough pressure to break it. “Or I will break you.” Octavia threatens with a warm smile making Blitz start sweating.

Blitz chuckles nervously as he tries to hold the pain. “Noted.” He strained.

Twilight smiled as she rubs at her own stomach. “Oh, your father is going to be in a world of hurt by the time this is over.”

“That is why I made a bunker for this occasion,” Blitz says chuckling as Octavia was now nuzzling him again.

Twilight giggles. “Really, a bunker?”

“Well now for this for emergencies,” Blitz says.

Twilight now looks worried. “Blitz, what’s coming that required you to make a bunker?”

“Well, stuff happens like Bloody Mary,” Blitz says.

Twilight sighs. “And you want to bet something will happen?”

Blitz shrugs. “Something will happen, that seems to be the norm.”

“He’s got ya there Twi.” Applejack says.

Twilight huffs. “I knew it a long time ago. Remember, I said this town is crazy and I love it. Otherwise, it would be quite boring.”

“And it’s going to keep changing as we are going to start integrating new technology more and more from now on,” Blitz says.

Twilight sighs. “Just don’t change so much we lose sight of the old ones.”

Blitz smiled. “I’ll try and keep the image, Miss Magical Queen.”

Twilight smiles. “Thanks and magical queen, huh?”

“Would you prefer Arcane Queen?” Blitz asks smirking knowing his messing was getting to her.

‘Oh, that sounds sexy.’ Chrysalis said.

Twilight grins. “Would you want it that way?”

“No, you are still the princess of magic to me,” Blitz says as he wraps a hoof around Octavia.

Twilight smiled. “So what now?”

Two weeks later, almost at the stroke of midnight, under a full moon, Blitz was waiting outside the birthing room in the hospital for them to tell him that the baby was born.

Twilight soon appeared with the others. “You okay Blitz?”

“I’m just anxious,” Blitz says looking at the blanket he had help Octavia knit for the baby.

Applejack smiled as she stepped up to him. “You got a family and you will get the foal with no problems.”

Blitz groans. “I just wish it would stop taking so long. Almost every second taken makes it more dangerous.” Blitz says as the clock strikes midnight and they all start to hear a foal crying.

“The foal is here,” Mary says coming out.

Blitz held his breath as he steps inside and finds Octavia laying on a bed with a little bundle of blankets near her. “Blitz, come see your new foal.” She said as she tried to keep herself awake.

Blitz walks over and sees a little foal with an azure coat and smiles and it goes bigger as he spies a little wing poking out. Octavia smiles as she finally closes her eyes. “Stay Bl…” She said before descending into quiet snores.

“Hey there Azure Star,” Blitz says before wrapping the foal in the blanket he and Octavia knitted together. Azure opens his eyes briefly before yawning slightly before closing his eyes again.

Blitz smiles, reaching his hoof to Azure, and Azure opens his eyes to that and see it and grabs it and starts sucking on it. Blitz, seeing this, couldn’t help but smile.

Mary smiled as she stepped up to him. “Congratulations Blitz, you got a beautiful son.”

“And your grandfoal,” Blitz says.

Mary shrugs. “That too. Can I spoil him?” She asks with a grin.

“Not just yet. He was just born after all and look, he is already taking after you.” Blitz says gesturing at Azure’s wings.

Mary chuckles. “Yeah, maybe I can teach him later. For now, sleep here. These two need you.” She said before leaving and closing the door behind her.

Blitz sighs and sits down in a nearby chair before laying his head down near their heads. “Good night, my family.” He said before falling asleep.

Mary smiles as she walks out. “So how is everything in there?” Applejack asks.

Mary smiled brightly. “Blitz’s family just grown.”

“And?” Applejack asks.

“His name is Azure Star and he is a pegasus,” Mary adds.

The rest of the mares smile and cheer a little. “Now we just have to worry about Twilight’s.” Applejack said looking to her.

“Not for a while,” Twilight says.

Mary shrugs. “Still the same. Now then, let us let them rest and enjoy the first night together.”

“Yeah, it’s me, Frederick,” Vinyl says nearby on the phone.

They look to her. “What are you doing?” Rainbow asks.

Vinyl holds up a hoof to let them know to hold on. “Yeah, she just gave birth. It’s a boy.” Vinyl says.

The mares smile again. “You better tell us who that is,” Twilight said.

“Yeah. Hey, can I count on you to inform the other members of Tavi’s band of this as I don’t have their numbers?” Vinyl says. The mares wait as the others hear some talking from the phone. “Thanks, man. Alright, see ya.” She said before hanging up. “As for your question, I promised to inform the rest of Tavi’s band when it was over,” Vinyl says smiling.

Twilight sighs. “Well, let’s go home and get some rest. It’s late and they need some time before they are out of the hospital.” She said before leaving.

“Aw, and I flew straight here just to see the new foal.” A new voice says behind Twilight.

Twilight stops and looks behind her to see Luna. “Princess Luna? I’m sorry, but they are asleep at the moment. I think it’s best we don’t disturb them. You can see them tomorrow if you want.”

“Oh, pooey. Oh well, I guess I can…who is this?” Luna asks pointing at Mary.

Mary smiled and waved. “Blitz’s mother. Nice to meet you.”

“Oh charmed.” Princess Luna greets back.

Mary nods. “To you too. Now then, back to the bed? And I mean that as they deserve a rest alone.” She said with a look.

The mares and even the princess could only listen and walk out of the hall and back to their beds or temporary beds.

Octavia started to rouse with a headache. “Oh, did I go out drinking with Vinyl again?” Octavia asks holding her head.

“Not quite love,” Blitz says.

Octavia looks over and sees Blitz holding a bundle of cloth in his hooves. “Is that…?”

“Azure Star,” Blitz says getting up and walking over.

Octavia smiled as showed her Azure. “He’s beautiful. We did a good job, didn’t we?” She asks petting his head as Azure starts to look up at her.

“We’ve only just started,” Blitz says as Azure opens his eyes.

“He has your eyes,” Octavia says smiling.

Blitz chuckles. “Now I just need to worry about other future mares coming at him or even fillies.”

Octavia giggles. “Maybe, but you are going to a very popular little one.” She said before kissing Azure’s head, making him coo softly.

“And there is his little fangs,” Blitz says spotting the fangs.

Octavia grows interested. “Teeth already. Wow.” She said slightly touching it. “Now with those eyes and being part vampire, he’s definitely going to be a ready-to-take-stallion once he grows up. You are going to be teaching a lot more than regular studies.”

“Oh, I think that is a given as well. Isn’t that right, Azure?” Blitz asks.

Azure only laughs a little and tries to grab Octavia’s hoof.

“Oh, what he is about to do, you little cutie,” Blitz says ask as Azure starts sucking on her hoof.

Octavia smiles as she lets him. “He’s going to be a great foal and son for you. You know that right?”

“I know and I called your parents last night. They should be here soon.” Blitz says.

Octavia suddenly looked shocked as she pulls her hoof away and makes Azure whine a bit. “Um…”

“Vinyl said she will put a spell on them beforehand to not notice the fangs,” Blitz says.

Octavia sighs in relief. “Good, being barren was the reason they disowned me. Now they are getting the shock of their lives. At least Vinyl took me in and then you.” She said smiling again as she puts her hoof to Azure and he starts nibbling on it.

“From what I hear, it was your mother who forced your father,” Blitz says.

Octavia sighs. “She really wants to keep the family name high and mighty. She still doesn’t know that you have to go down to experience true life.”

“Well, it doesn’t matter in the end. By the way, we are going with telling them I am a knight in the griffon king’s court. Which a pony becoming a knight in that court is quite an accomplishment. Plus, I also have a great deal of money.” Blitz adds.

Octavia gives a small kiss to him. “Thanks, Blitz. Did the doctor say I can leave?”

“I don’t know, I haven’t seen them yet, but I think they just wanted you to stay to examine you in the morning,” Blitz says.

Octavia sighs. “Can you take him out?” She asks looking to the nuzzling Azure on her hoof.

“Not till the doctor says so love. After all, they have to clear you before you can leave.” Blitz says resisting her charms.

Octavia sighs. “Oh well. Think you can get a doctor and hurry it up?”

“Have patience love. We are here alone with our foal. Enjoy the moment.” Blitz says smiling.

Octavia sighs. “It would be better with everypony else.”

“They will get their turn at him soon enough. Besides he has been waiting all night to see his mother awake.” Blitz says.

Octavia takes Azure and places him on the bed before lifting the covers and allowing him to drink from her. “There. Now you.” She said looking to Blitz.

“There we go,” Blitz says petting her.

Octavia hisses a bit and shows her fangs. “Can I?” She asks, eyeing his neck.

“That would turn me into a vampire my beautiful music, but I did think ahead,” Blitz says bringing out a blood pack.

Octavia takes the blood pack. “I wish I can drink your blood like Vinyl.” She said before biting into the pack and starts drinking.

“Yeah, but unlike Vinyl and now our little Azure. You are a full vampire and this is probably the same thing unions of vampires and non-vampires go through.” Blitz says.

Octavia sighs as she finishes the pack. “Blitz?”

“Yes, love?” Blitz asks.

“Why are you wearing armor?” She asks confused.

“Love, what are you talking about?” Blitz asks.

Octavia points to him. “You’re wearing armor.”

“Love, I am wearing my normal clothes,” Blitz says noticing Octavia’s eye color had changed.

Octavia shakes her head. “Yeah, you’re right. Sorry.”

“Octy?” Blitz asks.

Octavia waves her hoof. “Sorry, it’s nothing now. Probably just imagining things.”

Blitz raises his eyebrow the same as Applejack would and gives her a look, but doesn’t press the issue.

Octavia sighs. “You better do a check-up around the family. We’ll be fine.” She said laying back down and petting Azure’s head.

“Nah, I will stay here with you two,” Blitz says smiling and pets her again.

Octavia purrs. “Thanks, honey.”

Blitz smiled as he continued. It was only near lunch when Octavia was cleared to leave and they both headed back home with their foal.

Octavia sighs as she sits down with Azure in her hooves. “Finally. Welcome to your new home little one.” She said gently rocking Azure as he slept a bit.

“Oh, he is so cute,” Twilight says looking at him.

Octavia shows them Azure. “Yeah, he is, isn’t he?” She asks while Azure coos softly at the new faces.

“Welcome to the family little Dhampir,” Vinyl says booping his nose very lightly causing Azure to grab her hoof and start sucking on it.

The mares all awed at the sight.

“Seems he likes you,” Blitz says.

Vinyl chuckles. “Yeah, I’m his aunt, of course, he will like me.”

“Actually, technically, wouldn’t you be his stepmother since you are married to me and not the sibling of me or Octavia?” Blitz asks thinking that over.

Vinyl thinks for a few. “Yeah, I guess it is.”

“Which means you help raise him,” Pinkie says with a birthday cake in hooves.

Vinyl chuckles. “It is funny if all the foals will call all of us momma.”

“I thought you would want them to call you wubma.” Blitz jokes before he facehooves.

Vinyl grins. “What did you say, honey?” She asks calmly.

“A horrible joke that I already regret,” Blitz says still facehoofing.

Vinyl smiled. “Oh just calm down honey.” She said before turning to Azure who was looking at her curiously. “What do you see my little sonny?”

Azure just cocks his head to the side a bit.

Pinkie suddenly pops into his vision. “Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you, congratulations on being born, happy birthday to you.” She sang showing the cake and then Azure was pawing somewhere below her mane in midair.

“So Pinkamena, what you think?” Blitz asks.

Pinkie’s mane immediately goes flat and Azure was actually pawing at the end of her mane now that it fell. “He’s a cute one. He’s also seeing something. He was pawing my mane before I changed.”

“Girls, you might want to watch out. He already has his fangs.” Blitz warns.

Vinyl brings a hoof to her chin. “He’s going to need blood sometime. Anypony you got in mind?” She asks as Twilight steps up and Azure starts pawing at the air above him while giggling.

“So, you had your fangs when you were born. The first time, not the reincarnations.” Blitz says.

Vinyl giggles. “Yeah, but you may have to watch out when he gets the urge.” She said as Twilight looks curiously at Azure as he now starts acting like he’s swimming in water.

Blitz nods as he steps up to Twilight. “Huh.” He said while watching Azure. “Twilight?”

“Yes?” Twilight asks.

He didn’t say anything and touches his horn to hers and casts a small spell and his eyes became glazed over. “Gotcha. He’s pawing at whatever you’re emitting. Magic or an aura.” He said as he sees wisps of magic come out of Twilight and pass over Azure. He then let’s go and lets the magic fall. “He’s able to see something else. Maybe another plane of existence.”

“So he has the sight,” Vinyl says thinking out loud.

Azure giggles and looks to Blitz and holds out his hooves at him.

“Alright, come here little guy,” Blitz says picking Azure up.

“What was that Vinyl?” Octavia asks as Azure starts opening his mouth and then closing it like he was getting something.

Vinyl signs. “My father had it. Able to see your true self. Like Twilight, you can be mystical energy and the problem with this is you be hitting something else when you’re in the regular plane of existence.”

Blitz just watches Azure as he opens and closes his mouth. “Wonder what does he see in me?”

Twilight puts her horn to his and casts the same spell and her eyes became glazed over. “Blitz…you’re dripping in blood.”

“Ah, what color or colors?” Blitz asks.

Twilight tries to look around. “I think…red, maybe some green and blue too.”

“Ah, then that is a representation of the blood I have spilled.” Blitz clarifies lifting up Azure.

“So Vinyl, how is one born with the sight?” Octavia asks.

“Heck if I know, but I do know that one of my dad’s parents was an oracle of some sort which was a factor,” Vinyl says.

They simply watch Azure now as he stares at the many mares in the room and laughs while clapping his hooves. Blitz smirks as he lets Azure boop Twilight’s nose. Twilight giggles as she nuzzles him back. “Aw. Too cute.” She said pulling back and Azure sneezes a bit and makes him rub his nose.

“So what do the Wonderbolts and Shadowbolt think about their stepson?” Blitz asks looking to the quiet mares.

Rainbow chuckles and pushes them over to Azure. “Umm…hi Azure.” Fleetfoot weakly said while trying to wave.

Blitz then move closer with Azure as he then tries to catch Fleetfoot’s hoof. Fleetfoot giggles a bit and lets him have it and he starts sucking on it. “Gah.” He said muffled.

Twilight giggles. “Spike, come see our new member of the family.” She calls and Spike comes out of a hallway with Slendermane right behind him.

“Wow, thought he would more of a vampire,” Spike said as Azure looks down at him from his height and tilts his head at him.

Vinyl smiled. “He’s more like me than Octy here.” She said as Azure looks to Slendermane and just looks confused and starts pawing the air at her.

“Does that mean he is getting his own bass cannon?” Rainbow asks smirking.

Vinyl chuckles. “Nah, maybe if he wants to.” She said now thinking about it as Blitz puts Azure down and he starts crawling with his forelegs or sitting up and trying to crawl while sitting to Slender as she stares at him.

“Strange, he isn’t reacting as much since I’m usually expelling an aura of some type,” Slender said as Azure starts pawing the air around her.

“He can see energy,” Blitz says.

Slender tilts her head and leans down to him and Azure giggles and starts pawing at her head and nose and boops it. “He is kinda cute,” Spike said getting his attention and looks to him, but only tilts his head at him.

“Watch it, Spike, he is looking at your tail intently,” Spitfire says.

Spike chuckles and lets his tail hangover Azure, but he just sat there staring at him and coos confused. Spike looks at Spitfire. “I don’t think that is much of a prob…yeow!” Spike yells suddenly. Looking back he sees Azure latched on with his fangs, digging into his tail.

Slender giggles and picks up Azure and tries to pull him off. “Let go young one. Time to let uncle Spike go.” She tried to say as she pulls at him lightly.

Spike yelps as he finally let’s go and grabs his tail and starts to rub it. “Dang, he’s got a heck of a bite.” He said trying to look it over.

“He is a natural-born predator,” Blitz says.

“I smell a little foal.” Luna’s voice is heard.

They look to Luna who suddenly rushes in and goes right up to Azure. “Hello, young one. I’m Luna.” She said getting down to his height. Azura looks at her before starting to be mesmerized by her flowing mane. He grabs her mane and looks at it before biting it and starts chewing.

“Oh, I think he likes you,” Twilight says.

Luna giggles as she nuzzles the little foal. “Too cute.”

“So Luna, you have been informed that Vinyl and Tabi here are vampires or in Vinyl’s case a Dhampiresa?” Blitz asks.

Luna looks to him. “Really?”

Blitz nods. “Yep and guess for our little friend here.”

Luna looks back to Azure and he laughs and shows his fangs to her. “Um…I don’t have to worry about vampire attacks, do I?”

“He is a Dhampir. Half-vampire like me, he can’t turn others into vampires and I think Octavia has been tamed by Blitzy.” Vinyl jokes.

Blitz blushes and chuckles a bit. “Yeah, still need to work on her feeding habits though.”

“Yeah, yeah, by the way, we need to make more blood packs,” Vinyl says causing Blitz to pale.

Blitz groans. “Why me? The only thing that bothers me.”

“Don’t worry, it’s not for Azure here. I made a deal with the blood bank for that.” Vinyl says smirking.

“Translation, you used your hypnotism on them.” Applejack says.

Vinyl grins. “I don’t have no idea what you’re talking about.” She said whistling.

“Spitfire, Rainbow, Shadow, I think it’s your turn,” Blitz says.

They step up and Azure sees them and giggles as he lets go of Luna’s mane and reaches out to them.

Shadow was the first to respond and picks him up. “Hey there.” She says softly.

Azure giggles and nuzzles her while pawing at her suit.

“Looks like he wants to see the real you,” Spitfire said.

“Maybe when most of you aren’t around,” Shadow says.

Blitz smirks. “I don’t think he needs to. He has a little trick on him that makes see the real us. What our true self inside is.”

“Oh, how about this?” Shadow asks Azure, not listening, as she brushes Azure’s nose with the end of her wing.

Azure breathes in before sneezing in a high pitch and gives her a small look.

“You are adorable,” Shadow says smiling at him before nuzzling his nose.

Azure stared at her before giggling from the tickle treatment he’s getting.

“I…I guess I should at least say hi,” Spitfire says nervously.

Azure looks to her and giggles and reaches out to her.

“Um…h…hey there, little guy,” Spitfire says holding Azure now.

Azure keeps looking to her before grabbing her nose and bites it and giggles.

Spitfire holds nose and yelps and just lets him release it before a rainbow of color enters his vision.

“Hey, there handsome colt,” Rainbow said holding him now. “You ready for the greatest life ever?” Azure seems happy as he spreads his forehooves wide open as if he was going to hug. “Aw, of course, you can,” Rainbow said and gives him a hug.

“Oh Rainbow, don’t hog him,” Fluttershy says.

Rainbow chuckles and gives him to her. “Hello, little one. Say hello to your other momma.” Fluttershy said as Azure paws at her collar.

“Oh, you cute little thing you. I will love you forever.” Fluttershy says.

Azure giggles and keeps pawing at her collar.

“Aw, Fluttershy, don’t hog him.” Discord said as he takes him out of her hooves. “Hello, our new little chaos one.” He said tickling Azure’s belly. Azure giggles and grabs his talon before looking to the penguin on Discord and paws in the direction of him. “Oh fine.” Discord said placing him on his back and right next to Sombra.

Azure tilts her head as Sombra just stares at him. Sombra gives a quacking noise at him. Azure gives a small giggle before grabbing his fin and shakes it, smacking Sombra on Discord’s back and lifting him in the air with each shake. Discord was trying to suppress his laugh and starting to fail.

“Ok there little fellow, time for me to hold you.” Applejack says picking him up.

Azure laughs as he was being lifted and coos at her. Applejack smiles as she held him before giving him back to Octavia.

Octavia sighs as she grabs and holds Azure. “Did you like everypony?” She asks while tickling his stomach.

Azura just laughs as Octavia played with him. “I think that is a yes, love,” Blitz says.

Everypony smiles as Azure cheers while playing. “Now then, do we have a room for him?” Twilight asks.

“Yes, we do. With me.” Octavia says.

Blitz chuckles. “Love, I think they are saying when he needs one on his own later.”

“Maybe, but for now he is staying with me for now, by the way, are we ready to receive my parents?” Octavia asks.

Twilight smiled. “We have a room set up for you to meet them. Just need to send for them from the hotel in the town.”

“Might as well get this over with. Twilight, please call them and let them know I have been released from the hospital and I’m here, but I’m still weak and exhausted from the process and their grandfoal’s name is Azure Star.” Octavia says laying on the couch with Azure.

Twilight nods and walks off while everypony starts to go their own way. “Do you need anything?” Blitz asks.

“Some tea would be nice and maybe some lunch,” Octavia says as she feels Azure snuggle into her and he yawns cutely.

Blitz nods and heads off with Pinkie to grab some food. “Alright, we’ll be right back.”

“Thanks,” Octavia says wrapping Azure in his blanket and smiles as he falls asleep.

Blitz sighs as he turns to Pinkie. “Think you can be the official cook for the newborns and the mothers too?”

“I’m…not sure about Octy and Vinyl’s kids as they will be half breeds. They might have different physiology.” Pinkie says thinking as she speaks.

Blitz stares at her for a few moments. “I’m starting to consider making you a part of my scientific team in the clan.”

Pinkie looks to him. “You mean I can have fun with tests things?”

“Maybe and I said thinking about it,” Blitz says.

Pinkie starts hopping. “Yippee!”

‘Chances decreasing.’ Blitz thinks as he gets out a head of lettuce.

Pinkie giggles and snorts before stopping behind him and stops bouncing. “Oh, by the way, what is this?” Pinkie asks holding a letter in her hoof.

Blitz looks to it. “Where’d you get it?”

“Found it buried under a pile of blank scrolls,” Pinkie says now balancing it on her nose.

Blitz frowns a bit and takes it. “Let’s see,” Blitz says unraveling the scroll. “Dark magic…long term effects…Twilight!” Blitz suddenly calls after skimming the letter a bit.

Twilight peeks her head in the doorway. “Yes?”

“Take a look at what Pinkie found,” Blitz says levitating the scroll to Twilight.

Twilight takes one look on the scroll before snatching it out of the air. “That’s nothing.”

“Ah huh, the scroll that I thought was sent over a year ago to Celestia has yet to be sent,” Blitz says not looking at her as he starts preparing the food.

Twilight giggles nervously. “Well…see…about that…”

“Send it love,” Blitz says.

Twilight groans and sends it off. “There, happy?”

“Yes, now please come here,” Blitz says.

Twilight sighs and walks right by him. “Yes?”

Blitz smiles and just kisses her.

Twilight blushes bright red. “Dang it, Blitz.”

“You feel better?” Blitz says leaning his head on her.

Twilight stares at him before wrapping a wing around him. “Yeah, just don’t be angry with me. It felt like a real split.”

“I wasn’t mad. I know how you can get and forget things and we put a good deal of thought and effort into that letter.” Blitz says.

Twilight sighs. “Sorry.”

“So you want to help?” Blitz asks after kissing her neck.

Twilight giggles and releases him. “Ok, just tell me what to do,” Twilight says.

“Well your parents were nice, but your mother was a little…” Blitz starts but was cut off by Vinyl.

“Vampiric?” Vinyl says.

Blitz shakes his head. “No, I’m thinking hunter vibe from her.”

“I would just say she is a…” Vinyl was cut off when Octavia covered her mouth.

“Vinyl, not around Azure,” Octavia says.

Vinyl waves her off. “Eh, the kid is going to learn soon enough.”

“My little Azure will be a cultured stallion,” Octavia says.

Vinyl grins. “Who would then be taken down when life calls out to him. After all, he isn’t a normal pony.”

“Why am I picturing a vampire pony from an old movie being proper and a gentlecolt?” Fleetfoot asks.

Spitfire shrugs. “Just be happy he isn’t the sparkling in the sun type.”

In unison, both Octavia and Fluttershy hiss at her.

Spitfire stares at them. “What? I hated those stories. It’s just a teenage dream life and it will never be real. It was just a desperate attempt at getting them because of what teenagers were going through.”

“Actually, those ‘vampire’ are an insult to us,” Vinyl says.

Spitfire sighs. “Whatever happened to the old days?”

“Some idiots got into politics and into making movies,” Fleetfoot says.

Blitz chuckles. “And others just pop into your vision.”

Shadow says nothing but her smile told them all that she was thinking of now.

Blitz sighs and gets up. “Well, I have to do a check-up on everything. Think you all can handle yourselves from here?”

“I think we can,” Twilight says before there was a knock on the door.

Blitz and everypony get confused as he goes to it. “Who is it?”

“Mailmare.” A voice on the other side says.

Blitz opens the door and finds Derpy standing there. “Okay, what’s the letter?”

“Special delivery with the crest of the king of the Griffon’s. By the way, I heard Octavia had her baby, how is he?” Derpy asks.

Blitz smiled and takes the letter. “He’s fine. Just sleepy most of the time and when he’s awake, better look out.”

“Oh I know, Dinky was like that when she was born. Mind if I see him?” Derpy asks.

Blitz steps aside. “Sure, come on in.”

“Thank you,” Derpy says being let in and lead to the living room before Blitz walks off to read the letter.

“Aw, he’s so cute.” He heard as he opens the letter. “Dear Southern Cross, recently there have been many sightings of movement amongst the diamond dogs along our borders and a few skirmishes. As you may well know, we have a history of conflict with them and as such, I am calling upon all knights to serve in case of the worst possible situation.” Blitz read. ‘Must be their form of a call to serve letter.’ Blitz thinks, skimming the rest of it and sighs before putting it into one of his pockets.

Blitz heads back and finds Azure giggling at Derpy as he was pick up by her.

“You are a cute little foal aren’t you?” Derpy asks touching his nose to hers.

“Twi, can I see you alone for a moment?” Blitz whispers into Twilight’s ear.

Twilight nods and walks with him. “What is it?”

“Twilight, what is the proper Equestrian thing to do when you receive a letter telling you you’re being called upon to serve?” Blitz asks.

Twilight sighs. “Go. That’s the only thing to do. Why?”

“I have gotten such a letter from the Griffon king, Lucian, and being a knight of the kingdom I am obligated to go,” Blitz says.

Twilight looks down. “Are you going?”

“I have to love,” Blitz says lifting her chin up with his hoof.

Twilight looks to him. “When are you going to be back?”

“I don’t know, this could be a false alarm, even the king is unsure. But while I am gone, can you look after the others especially Octavia and Azure?” Blitz asks.

Twilight nods. “Sure…just, be careful.”

“I always am,” Blitz says before kissing her forehead.

Twilight smiles a little. “No, you’re not.”

“Ok, I am a little reckless when defending you girls,” Blitz admits.

Twilight boops his nose. “And don’t you forget it.”

“I won’t, now I have to get changed and get ready to go to…you know, I think this might be a good experience for Lightning.” Blitz says thinking it over.

Twilight looks to him. “You sure that’s a good idea?”

“She has the experience and she is a Mandalorian,” Blitz says.

Twilight sighs. “Just bring yourselves back, okay?”

“And Lightning, right?” Blitz asks leaning against her.

Twilight nods. “Yeah, keep her safe.”

“I will. You mind informing the rest of the girls as I get changed?” Blitz asks.

Twilight holds him there. “One last kiss?”

“Do you even need to ask me?” Blitz asks picking her up and holding her in his hooves.

Twilight giggles as he kisses her and she kisses back before they let go. “Be careful, okay? There could be something that we don’t know about.” She said as she makes her tail wrap around his.

“I have a feeling that something is stirring on the Griffon kingdom’s borders. Also remember, you are carrying two lives right now.” Blitz says.

Twilight nuzzles him as she makes him place a hoof on her stomach. “Yeah, remember to come back for all of them too. They are going to need their father.”

“I will, I got me a new reason to keep on living now,” Blitz says smiling.

Twilight places a hoof on his cheek. “And us too. You gave a new reason for us.”

Blitz puts her down. “Now get that sexy flank moving.” Blitz jokes.

Twilight turns around and shakes her flank at him. “Want it before you go? Maybe a going-away present?”

“I would, but I fear for the yet to be born foal within you. So like Octavia, you are going to have to wait till after the foal is born.” Blitz says.

Twilight sighs and turns around again. “You are sucking the fun out of everything.”

“I know,” Blitz says sticking his tongue out.

Twilight stares at him. “Just go and get ready.” She said before walking back to the others. She felt her tail being pulled as she walked. “Try harder.” She said slowing down a little. Blitz smirked as he smacked her flank before pulling her tail again. “Better.” She moaned.

“I’m going to miss all of you,” Blitz says.

Twilight looks back at him. “Us too.”

“Hopefully I will be back before this little one is born,” Blitz says.

Twilight nods. “Go get dressed. I’ll tell the others.”

“Be sure to send Lightning in as well, her armor is stored in here as well,” Blitz says before giving her one last kiss.

Twilight gives a kiss back and walks off. “You got it.”

Blitz was silent after Twilight left and started putting on the blue aerial armor he was best known for on the planet. “Blitz?” Lightning asks coming in.

“Good, you are here. Equip your armor and grab your blaster rifle and lets set out to the Griffon kingdom.” Blitz says with authority.

Lightning frowns a bit. “Tell it to me like a husband to a wife who is both in an army.”

“I will inform you of everything on the way,” Blitz says putting on his helmet.

Lightning sighs and starts dressing up. “Blitz, when we’re out there. You can order me like that, but alone and on our on like this, talk to me like a married couple. I don’t like to see my husband not really talk to me normally, especially with a life or death situation.”

“Sorry, getting a little ahead of myself,” Blitz says looking away.

“You are worrying about something again.” Lightning says as she puts on her light blue armor.

Blitz nods as he grabs his weapons. “Yeah, not fun.”

“Tell me.” Lightning says leaning against him.

Blitz sighs. “We’re going to deal with a possible war with the griffons and diamond dogs. And we may be gone for a long time.”

“But that is not what is bothering you. You have been on edge for weeks now.” Lightning says.

Blitz presses his lips together. “We may be facing an invasion ourselves soon. And I fear that something will happen with us too.”

“Blitzy, you worry a little too much. You drive yourself into the ground.” Lightning says finishing putting on her helmet.

Blitz smiled a little. “For all of you. I want you all to live.”

“Blitzy, Blitzy.” Lightning says picking up her blaster rifle.

Blitzy sighs. “I just want all of you safe.”

Lightning goes over to him and hugs him. “It’s okay. Both sides help each other and so you’re not alone in this.”

Blitz places a hoof over hers. “I know. Thanks.”

Lightning nods. “Now, let’s get this whole thing over with.”

Blitz nods and looks at her. “Yeah. Let’s go.”

Lightning sighs and leads him out to where all the rest are waiting for them. “Girls and son?” Blitz said as they enter the room again and they find all of them there waiting for them. “As Twilight has told you, I’m going to be gone along with Lightning. So try to not kill each other and we’ll be back soon enough.” He said as he petted Azure’s head.

Azure giggles and is picked up by Octavia. “Do you know how long you would be gone?” She asks.

“No, we don’t. For all, we know this is a false alarm. If so, we will be back in a few weeks at the latest.” Blitz says.

Rainbow groans. “Why is it always, born a foal, get sent out?”

“Bad timing or good fortune. I could have been called away before Azure was born.” Blitz says.

Azure coos at him and reaches out for him. Blitz smiles and takes off his helmet before leaning forward to him and allowing him to grab his face. Azure giggles and laughs as he was lifted up and tries to hang on. He then gives a kiss on the nose.

“Be a good boy for your mothers, ok?” Blitz asks smiling.

Azure nods and gives another kiss.

“Ok, I will see you soon, ok Azure?” Blitz asks.

Azure nods a lot like Pinkie does with following a moth…like now.

“Pinkamena, please get Pinkie to pay attention to me as I say goodbye for now,” Blitz says.

Pinkie just wraps her hooves around him. “Bye, idiot.”

“There is the sassy pink pony,” Blitz says smiling mischievously.

Pinkamena just nuzzles him. “Be careful or I will come after you.”

“Don’t worry about me,” Blitz says.

“Worry for the diamond dogs if they chose to fight us.” Lightning adds.

Everyone tries to hug them now as Azure climbs on Blitz’s head and tries to curl up there. “See ya Blitzy. See ya Lightning.” Most of them said.

“And you better not try anything while you are alone with him,” Pinkamena says, threateningly poking Lightning’s chest armor.

Lightning chuckles a bit. “I’ll try to keep it to a minimum.”

“You better or I’ll…hand puppets.” Pinkie interrupts taking back control.

They all look at her weird as Azure laughs and claps his hooves. “Hand puppets?” Twilight asks.

“It’s something humans do with their hands. The information archives can explain it better.” Blitz says.

Now they look to him weird as Azure nuzzles him. “You two are now declared the weariest ponies around,” Rainbow said.

“Oh Rainbow, does everypony need to see video 27?” Blitz asks.

Rainbow blushes. “No!”

“And who says mares always win,” Blitz says smiling.

Twilight bonks him on the head and Azure tries to himself. “Shut up.”

“Twilight, I am surprised at you doing that while Azure is on my head. What if you had hit him? For shame.” Blitz says comically.

“For shame.” Pinkie adds in the same tone.

Twilight frowns and picks up Azure as he keeps trying to hit him. “At least he moved. Calculator brain, remember?”

“Calling names Twi. Oh, how your academic levels have fallen.” Blitz says still playing around.

Twilight gives Azure back to Octavia before grabbing his collar and brings him in for a kiss before letting go. “How about now?”

“Pinkie, is there an opening in magical kindergarten?” Blitz asks with a smile.

Twilight just slaps him across the face before throwing him away and walks off while grumbling to herself.

“Yes actually,” Pinkie says.

“Wait, how do you even know that?” Blitz says now confused.

Pinkie grins. “I have opening lists all over Ponyville and Canterlot, in case of a list emergency.”

Blitz just gives her a confused look joined by Twilight. Twilight just shakes her then and heads out of the room.

“See you, girls, soon,” Blitz says putting back on the helmet.

They all wave as they leave, but Blitz stops and quickly heads down the hall where Twilight went. Twilight was still grumbling to herself but stops as she feels a hug from behind. “I’m sorry.” She said, trying to not look at him.

“Love you too, my sexy queen,” Blitz says.

‘Awww.’ Chrysalis says in her mind.

Twilight smiled. “Shut it Chrissy and let me enjoy this.” She said leaning into him.

‘Oh, how about Shock Blast?’ Chrysalis asks coming up with another name idea for the foal.

Twilight just hits her head. “I said shut it. Besides, I and Blitz are coming up with the names, not you.”

‘Hey, I’m just trying to help and throwing out ideas…Lightning Surge?’ Chrysalis says now thinking out loud.

Twilight sighs and shakes her head as Blitz gives her a nuzzle. “Annoying you?” Blitz asks in her ear.

“Chrysalis just keeps shooting off ideas for the name for the unborn foal,” Twilight says.

Blitz chuckles and moves to her horn. “Hey Chrissy, that’s our job. Now leave that to us.”

“She is no longer listening, she is lost in her own little world now,” Twilight says.

Blitz nuzzles her again. “Like you would be when your foal is born. Wait for me, okay?”

“Do you have to ask?” Twilight quotes him cheekily.

Blitz chuckles and turns her head to face him. “Nah.” He said lifting up his helmet and gives one last kiss before putting it back on.

“Go on Blitzy, can’t keep the diamond dogs waiting. You might hurt their feelings and they will turn the entire invasion around then.” Twilight jokes. Blitz just stares at her as she then knocks her own head. “Dang it, Chrissy.”

“Adorable,” Blitz says smiling under his helmet.

Twilight sighs and looks at him. “You better get going and you better come back.” She said poking a hoof onto his chest.

“You’re repeating yourself love,” Blitz says using his magic to playfully pull her tail.

Twilight moans as she nuzzles him. “I know, just come back for us.”

“I will,” Blitz says before heading for the door.

Twilight sighs as she grabs her tail and starts to pet it. “Your father is always something.” She said looking to her stomach.

‘That he is. I like rewatching a few of your sessions in your memories.’ Chrysalis says.

Twilight sighs. “Oh, Chrissy. At least let me join in on that.”

‘Still trying to figure out which session got you pregnant though. There are five that fit the time frame. Though I hope it is the one where you were blindfolded for the latter half of the session.” Chrysalis says.

Twilight grins as she heads to her room. “Think you can replay the one where there was too many of him? I’m going to shower a bit.”

“Which one, there are seven in here?” Chrysalis says.

Twilight giggles as she enters her room. “The one with the most.” She said heading into the bathroom.

Blitz sighs as he looks to the sea once more. “Blitz, come on. At least eat.” Lightning said as they sat in their room.

“Remind me why we didn’t take the Darkstar One,” Bitz says sitting on the couch, doing what Lightning guessed was meditating.

Lightning sighs. “Because most of the forces are there and if it’s nothing, then it’s a waste of fuel. Best to check things out before deciding.”

“How did you girls convince Minerva not to follow anyways?” Blitz asks opening an eye.

Lightning smiled a bit. “Simple, wasteful time, and energy. She’s still the ship and its best to not lose that since she now has a semi-real flesh and blood body.”

“And something to do with Azure?” Blitz asks.

Lightning chuckles. “Yeah, he would most likely follow her and come here.” Blitz nods and closes the eye again and goes back to meditating. Lightning sighs as she tries to eat. “So where do we have to meet the griffons?”

“We are going to the king’s castle. Something about a ceremony.” Blitz says tossing her the letter.

Lightning looks it over. “Probably your knighting.”

“I’m already knighted. Haven’t you ever looked at that picture framed on the wall?”

Lightning shrugs. “Maybe we are just going to a fancy party. Which reminds me, where’s Terran?”

“You are sitting on him,” Blitz says causing Lightning to look down at the sleeping Terran.

Lightning sighs as she pets his head. “Is Fleetfoot still okay now? It looks like she never forgot her past life.”

“No, she is fine with it as she is making peace with it and now instead of Terran, she will play with Azure,” Blitz says.

Lightning smiled. “She won’t forget, will she?”

“No, she won’t, and did you bet on for who will bare the next foal?” Blitz asks.

Lightning giggles. “Nah, didn’t have time.”

“You bet on yourself,” Blitz says in a sing-song voice.

Lightning laughs. “Yep, before I left.”

“Want to work on that here?” Blitz asks.

Lightning blushes. “If you want.”

“I know, Vinyl likes to try with the other mares.” Blitz jokes.

Lightning sighs. “I thought you hated vampires?”

“That was a joke and I don’t hate vampires. I’m just mostly afraid of them.” Blitz says.

Lightning watches him. “And you’re mares?”

“Now I’m just afraid if they get mad at me,” Blitz says.

Lightning chuckles. “As you should be. Sorry for taking away your ‘pet’ though.”

“What are you talking about? I got one right here.” Blitz says eyeing her.

Lightning smiled a bit. “Really, want to treat me like that?”

“Oh, what, you don’t want me to pet your mane?” Blitz says using one of the things he knew Lightning loved the most.

Lightning blushes. “You’ll get the chance. Just…” She sighs and walks over to him and sits down near him. “Here. Bark.” She said dryly.

“I was joking love,” Blitz says starting to pet her mane.

Lightning moans and nuzzles into his hoof. “You are joking yes, but I wasn’t.”

“I will only do that with Fluttershy. You are a Mandalorian wife. You have a lot more pride.” Blitz says not stopping his petting.

Lightning raises an eyebrow at him. “And you are not even bothering to stop.”

“Because this turns you on.” Blitz reminds.

Lightning sighs. “Yeah, yeah it does.”

“Now just lay with me for a bit,” Blitz says.

Lightning nods. “Sure, just really mess with me while you’re at it.” She said getting up.

“Oh no, you don’t,” Blitz says smiling as he pulls her down with himself.

Lightning sighs as she curls upon him. “Blitz?”

“Yes, love,” Blitz asks holding her.

Lightning slightly looks to him. “Can you…” She stops and makes him move a hoof to her face.

“I can love you like that love, but first you need to lock the door and I need to change out of my armor as do you,” Blitz says.

Lightning keeps looking at him till she gets up and locks the door as Blitz sits up and gets out of his armor. Lightning walks back as she gets out of her armor and drops it along the way until she lays down on Blitz on the bed again. “I just wanted to feel you like this. Nothing between us.”

“And me inside you as well?” Blitz asks rubbing her stomach.

Lightning smiled a little. “Only when I want it and that’s when we get back.”

Blitz sighs and keeps rubbing her mane. “Okay, but I will sometimes need something.”

Lightning nods. “I will try, but the real thing is back home, deal?”

Blitz kisses her cheek. “Deal.”

Lightning nuzzles him as Blitz just watched the outside. “Let’s get some sleep. One more day until we get there.” He said as he pulled the covers around them.

Lightning snuggles into him. “Okay, just keep me warm, my pillow.”

Blitz nuzzles her as he hugs her tight. “My adorable fighter.” He said following her into a deep sleep.

Lightning yawns again as she tried to stand presentable. “Hang on for a bit longer and then we can go,” Blitz whispered beside her.

“That’s what you said last time and that was thirty minutes ago.” Lightning whispered back.

“Just be glad we aren’t listening to a session of the senate or the jedi preaching about their way.” Blitz whisper rolling his eyes.

Lightning giggles a bit. “I’ll take your word for it. Still…hoping for something to happen.”

“May our ancestors find us worthy and may we find victory if they choose to make war unto us.” An old official says, ending the ceremony.

Lightning breathes a sigh of relief. “Finally. Now what?”

“Stay by my side at all times, remember I am a knight here in this court. You though are an outsider.” Blitz tells her.

Lightning nods. “Okay, but what are we going to do now?”

“They will start handing out assignments soon enough, just be patient and keep your weapons holstered,” Blitz instructs.

Lightning nods again as the griffons start to name out the commanders. “Sir Southern Cross.” An official says.

Blitz steps forward with the rest of the commanders in line and Lightning steps up behind him.

“You will be assigned to the southern part of the eastern front we are setting up.” The official says before starting to tell who would be under who. “And Southern Cross will be under the command of Commander Silver Claw.” The official finishes.

Blitz looks around and sees the griffon look at him with a curious look.

“You are dismissed to the banquet. Now, Sir…” The official started up again calling for those who would command at other sectors.

Blitz sighs and walks away with Lightning to the food table in the back before he feels a talon tap his shoulder. “Yes?” He asks looking over the food.

“You are Southern Cross, right?” The Griffon asks.

Blitz sighs. “Yes, I assume I’m going to be under the command of you?” He asks, picking up some kind of fruit that seems to be alive.

“Yes, I’m commander Silver Claw.” The young griffon says.

“First command?” Blitz asks.

The griffon nods. “Yes, you…are going to listen to me at least?”

“I will teach you a few things as this is not my first time in command on the battlefield,” Blitz says.

The griffon sighs. “Alright, but I do have a say since everyone here knows you’ve been around, right?”

“I am under your command. I can advise, but you must give the orders. So I’m guessing that general over there with all the medals is your father, right?” Blitz asks.

Silver looks back to the griffon still calling out everyone. “Yes, though he gave me a chance to rise through and I did. Still barely commanded, just this one time when I had to get everyone out from a fort.”

“So no real combat experience, huh? You have the right attitude. You see that one over there.” Blitz asks gesturing to another young commander only he was acting very arrogant and self-assured.

Silver smiled a bit. “Always a bit commanding, even during officer academy.”

“He is going to choke on his first real battle and be defeated,” Blitz says.

Silver sighs. “Don’t all bullies? I heard of this one female griffon who just eating one day and this guy comes over and just eats her food. She had enough and just whacks him upside the head with her lunch sack and now they are the best of friends.”

“Sounds familiar, would her name happen to be Gilda?” Blitz asks.

Silver looks back to him. “Now that you mention it, it is. Why? Know her?”

“Not personally, but an acquaintance of mine told me of her,” Blitz says.

Silver sighs. “Still feels like we are heading into the unknown, then again, we do that every time we move.”

“So being a commander, I suspect you will either be assigned an outpost or even a fort if your family’s influence affects the decision,” Blitz says.

Silver just crosses his arms. “Nope, my father is more on the lines of earning the placement. I just got the report and we are heading to the hillside field. Enough cover if we get caught, but we are watching the border.”

“So we are building our own fortifications then. That makes things even better.” Blitz says.

Silver gives an eye to him. “You got something?”

“Trust me when I say, this will better for the unit. By the way, that is Surge, she is from my clan and will be aiding even though she has no obligation to.” Blitz says gesturing to Lightning.

Lightning bows a little as Silver nods to her. “Okay then, any help is appreciated.”

“So we set out tomorrow, correct?” Blitz asks.

Silver nods. “If you got anything to do or anyone to meet, now would be the time.”

“No, Surge and I will retire from this now to rest for the march tomorrow,” Blitz says causing Lightning to put down her food.

Silver nods. “Okay, just try to be there in time, we set once everyone else does too. Miss it and you have to find another way out of the city without embarrassment.” He said grinning.

“You are already sounding like a good commander,” Blitz comments walking off.

Silver chuckles. “Figure I might as well give them a chance to do some stealth in the city.”
