Chapter Seven: More Training and Ponyville
-Story Start-

It's been eight months, leaving two until Nightmare escapes. I have had some more lessons with Celestia, learning more theory that spells. I only really got two spells from her, those being Basic Fireball and Magic Lazer. I'm sure you all know what the first is, but the Lazer is just like shooting a Ki wave but with magic. It was apparently the basic attack spell that most any unicorn knows. She also told me the difference between the three races of pony.

Earth Pony: Great physical strength and use of a primal magic that increases plant health and growth speed.
Pegasus Pony: Hollow bones to reduce weight but still physically strong, but not to the extent of Earth ponies. Use of primal magic that affects gravity when flying.
Unicorn: Overall physically weak, but compensated by use of primal magic to make spells that can have various effects.

Other than the lessons I also started to randomly take on trips around Equestria to try different things.

I barged into her room "Get dressed we're going Ice Skating!'

"Hikari Wha?"

"NO TIME!" I threw a pair of skates next to her bed and ran out.

Her last court session had just ended when I dropped, grabbed her hand and teleported us to an arcade

"Hikariiiiiii?"

"Gaming, now"

It was 2 in the morning, I clicked her rooms light on and joltes her up with a weak lightning bolt.

"Hikari, seriously?"

"Get dressed, we're going skydiving."

"But we can fly"

"I know"

Yeah, I Admit, that last one made no sense. It was still fun though. Other than dragging Celestia around, I had also already bought a house in Ponyville. Today was the day I was moving over there.

I was getting ready to teleport to Ponyville when Twilight tackle hugged me. "Please don't go, I'll miss my favorite friend!" She yelled. That had started a few months ago. While I have been hanging out with Celestia, I was also hanging with Twilight. Sometimes I would kidnap her as well when I would randomly grab Celestia to go do something. Slowly over the year, I became her best friend. She always wanted to hang out with me, she even joined some of my training sessions. Of course I didn't make her do anything that would strain her, but still. It was like having a little sister. I also found out that her relationship with her family is more... strained, in this world. I mean, they love each other, but Twilight doesn't have that 'BBBFF' thing with her brother. Also, Cadence has never met Shining either. There is definitely some major differences to cannon here.

"Twilight, I can fly at light speeds and can teleport. If you really want me to, I can visit every week for a whole day. Alright?" I try to reassure her.

"But it won't be the same."

"Twilight, I have to do this. It's important, I will come back in two months, ok?"

"... Ok, but you better keep you visit promise." She glared at me.

"Ye, yes, I will" I then turned to Celestia. "You know where I am if you need me, and you better keep doing something fun every once in a while. I swear if I hear your not, I will come and force you to." I tell her with a knowing look.

"I will, you don't need to worry Hikari. I understand a need for fun every once in a while." She said with a smile.

"Good, I'll see you two in a week then, goodbye for now!" I yelled before taking off. I decided to fly to Ponyville while I apply transformation jutsu. I had taken to that look I made when buying snowboards for me and Tia. I named the form Dark Light, contradictory name, I know.

I arrived in Ponyville about five seconds after leaving Canterlot. I landed in an ally near the Mayor's office. Before walking out and over to it, knocking on the door.

"Just a minute," a muffled voice sounded. The door opened so after to a light brown furred mare, slightly aged but not passed her prime. "Oh hello, I'm Mayor Mare, how can I help you?" She asked with a smile.

"Hello, I bought a house here in Ponyville, name's Dark Light." I said and stuck my hand out. She went for and handshake before I, feeling slightly noble, took her had up and kissed her knuckles.

She blushed before responding, "Of course, I have the paperwork ready of you want to fill it out now." She said, I just nodded before she led me inside. I filled out some paperwork, basically stating my name, sex, and age. Then she led me to my new house before handing me the keys and heading back to her office.

Before even the first week was up I ran into the lovable pink pony that in Pinkie Pie. "You must be the new pony. I know that because I've never seen you before, and I know everyone in town, I mean everyone. That means I have thrown You a party yet, oh my gosh, I need to plan a party. See ya later today." And she's gone... What?

After that I barely saw anyon-pony, damn it's gonna be awhile before I get used to that. Most likely all already at my house. It's not even furnished yet though, so I have no idea what they are gonna do. Well, I'll just go back home then. About halfway there I was stopped by who I recognized as Rainbow Dash and Applejack.

"Woah there stranger, can you come and help my friend here. She seems to have broken her wing." Applejack, well, tried to lie.

I decided to just tell them outright, "Listen, I'ma try to act surprised when I get home. Unfortunately for your pink friend, I can sense magical signatures for miles. That means I already know that all of the town except you two are at my house." I deadpanned

Both of them looked surprised that I knew, but quickly understood why. Then Rainbow spoke, "Well we were supposed to distract you until five and it's still four..."

"We could just hang out till then and talk, So how about it. My name's Dark Light and my special talent is literally any form of combat."

They looked at each other before Applejack spoke up. "Well, the name's Applejack and my special latent is working with my Apple orchard." I just noticed that she doesn't have the accent. Why doesn't she have an accent?

Rainbow spoke next, "Name's Rainbow Dash, My special talent is speed. I'm the fastest flyer in Equestria. That's right, I'm awesome!" Oh you poor thing, doesn't even know that she is only a mach 1 while I am faster than light, by a lot.

... I wonder if I can train the main 6 in Ki, and Tia, and Luna when she's back. We just talked about stuff, like Applejack's want to expand her family's business and Rainbow dream of being in the Wonderbolts. They asked me what I did before moving here and I told them I was a retired guard. I didn't think that through though and now they think I'm injured in some way. They did ask me where I was injured, so I told them the memeiest and cringy thing I could think of. "I took an arrow to the knee. I can't run anymore or do anything to strain my leg, and with my special talent, the best thing I could do is open a dojo or something." That made them a little sad for me, but I just said not to worry and that I had already accepted it. It felt bad to lie to them, and I knew they would be on my ass about it later, but I couldn't just walk up and say 'Hi I'm an alien here to help you beat an old folktale villain that's actually Celestia's sister!' I would be attacked on the spot if I did that. After hanging with them till five, we went towards my house.

When we got there and went inside it was dark, then I switched the light on and saw color everywhere.

"SURPRISE!!!" all the ponies yelled. I successfully pulled of faking surprise, everyone believed I never saw it coming. Everyone except Pinkie Pie.

"You knew didn't you?" She asked me with a neutral face.

"Yeah, sorry Pinkie Pie. I can sense energy, so I knew everyone was here." I said sincerely.

She perked up immediately, "That's ok, It's not your fault that I didn't think of that. I will surprise you somehow though, one day." She said as she slinked off. That was weird.

The party was over when, with what luck I had. The others of the main six walked up to me, minus Twilight.

"Hey Dark, I want you to meet my other friends. You already met Dashie and Applejack. This is Rarity and Fluttershy!" Pinkie Pie said excitedly.

"Pinkie, we haven't really introduced ourselves to each other either. How about we do that now. My name is Dark Light, my special talent is any form of combat." I said, taking a bow.

Pinkie responded first, "My name's Pinkie Pie, but you already know that. My special talent is Partying, setting up parties, and making people happy!"

Now Rarity spoke, "My name is Rarity, my special talent is dress making. It is very nice to meet such a gentle pony." She said with a smile.

Fluttershy spoke after, "M-my name is F-f-fluttershy, M-my special t-talent is a-animal c-care." She said softly, almost silently. Good thing my hearing is very good.

I spoke very softly to her, "Such a wonderful name you have Fluttershy, and a very nice special talent too." I said with a small smile to her. She 'eeped' before hiding behind Rainbow, who chuckled at her reaction to my compliments. "Well I wish we could talk more, but it's getting late. I'd like to escort you all home, of I'm not imposing?" I asked. They all agreed accept Rainbow, who only denied because she lived in a cloud house. I wouldn't take no for an answer though and had decided to tell them a little about my powers, not what I am though.

"A cloud house is not hard for me Rainbow, My special talent isn't just for any form of styles of fighting, it's for anything that involves combat. That includes air combat.

"Are you trying to say you can fly?" Rainbow said with a raised eyebrow.

I floated up off the ground, getting shocked looks. I decided to give them a dramatic story. "I was born with a different type of energy within me instead of magic, at five Celestia took me under her wing along with her other student. My energy was kept secret, but I taught myself how to wield it. I named it Ki, and with it, I can break the laws of magic. Allowing myself to fly." I then landed, "now, how about that offer for a walk home?" Rainbow just nodded, still shocked. One by one I walked them all home, each one gave me hug before going inside their homes. I was seriously starting to think ponies make friends way too easily. Then we got to Fluttershy's home.

"T-thank you for y-your kind words t-today. It w-was really n-nice of you." She said, trying to hide behind her hair, which went all the way down her back.

"I was just telling the truth, goodbye. See you sometime later Fluttershy." I gave her a kind smile. She 'eeped' again and went inside her home. I then turned to Rainbow. "Well dash, as much as would like to race you home as you know doubt want to, I was more thinking along the lines of a casual flight."

She seemed to not care as much as I thought about racing me. "Eh, that's fine, it wouldn't be fun right now anyways. It's too dark for someone to see my epicness as I beat you to the finish line!" I stand corrected. We had a nice flight to her home, doing simple tricks along the way. "Your pretty good at this for not being a pegasus, how long have you been flying?"

"I figured out flight using my energy when I was around six" I told her, another lie. I am going to have to keep track of my web of lies.

"Bout as long as I have then, we really need to race at some point!" She said. After that we started to get more advanced with outr tricks on our way to her house. We even did a couple of duel tricks that she wanted to try. We got to her house a few minutes later. "Alright Dark, I'll see you tomorrow, gotta get that race soon!" She said

"Alright Dash, I'll make sure I have time tomorrow. Seeya." I said as she went inside and I flew back to my house. Maybe my stay here will be even more pleasant than I ever thought...

This story has the slice of life tag for a reason. There are gonna be chapters like this sometimes, and other times there are gonna be chapters like the first few.

This is the last chapter I got done before publishing it, hopefully the story so far is good to you all
