A Lightning Storm: Rebooted

Spitfire:

The sound of a blowtorch woke me up. I was a good two feet off of the ground, chains held my front hooves above my head, to the ceiling. Strong ropes bound my back hooves down to the ground, I was unable to move in anyway possible. Better yet, it was pitch black, and I could only stare straight forward.

"Looks like the fillyfooler is awake." A voice echoed.

The lights flickered on overhead, my own home appeared before my eyes along with a black and purple mare, hanging in what seemed to be the same way as myself, only bruised and bleeding form her nose. I began to fear the worst, my breathing quickened and I thrashed around in the chains.

"Don't worry, she's not dead, just unconsious." The voice said, I recognized it as Cyber Burst.

I tried to speak, but found out I had been gagged as well. The Stallion stepped in front of me.

"Though I cant say the same for those two." he said, moving his head to the side.

He grabbed the chains and swiveled them, making me spot two bloody mares on the ground, one being Vinyl Scratch, the other Octavia. They appeared to be alive, but I knew I could be wrong.

He swiveled the chains back so I was facing my marefriend yet again.

"It's a shame you two couldn't fight them off." Cyber Burst continued, "They were quite easy."

The gag was removed and only one thing came from my mouth.

"Thank you, Cyber Burst." I said, "Thank you for saving us."

I realized I was too quick to judge, I had originally thought Vinyl and Octavia had done this to us.

"What?" Cyber laughed, "You really think I would save you?"

My heart began to pound in my chest.

"But, the blowtorch! you're cutting us down... right?"

Another pony stepped up with the blowtorch, which was burnng blue with heat.

"Oh, no." Cyber said, "That's the main event!"

The pony slashed with the blowtorch like it was some kind of blade, burning across Mirage's chest.

Mirage awoke with a heart wrenching scream.

"No! Stop!" I pleaded.

"Why?" Cyber asked with a devilish smile. "We're only teaching Mirage about the other elements."

The pony jerked the blowtorch again, burning across Mirage's back legs. elicting yet another scream from my marefriend.

The gag was put back onto me.

Mirage smiled and the chains above her began to spark with purple electricity.

The pony jabbed at her with the torch, holding it down on her chest without mercy. Making her scream louder and louder as seconds passed.

When the pony finally let up, the electricity died down and a small hole was burned into Mirage's chest, it glowed red hot, but eventually died down into a charred black.

"That'll teach you." Cyber said, spitting with extreme accuracy into the burned hole, making Mirage whimper loudly.

I was screaming through my gag as the screaming and burning continued, kicking at Cyber Burst and cursing at the other pony. I rocked back in forth in my chains, in attempt to break them, but stopped after a few minutes, knowing it was utterly useless.

This continued for ten gruesome minutes, they had stopped after all they could get from her was a cough or a slow whimper. Cyber Burst and the pony were now washing their hooves in our bathroom sink, laughing to themselves about how pitiful we had looked. Eventually, Cyber Burst came back and bidded us farewell, leaving a trail of gasoline behind him in our once peaceful cloud home.

Then the fire came.

They had lit it from the balcony as they left, it screamed through the house without stopping, lighting it up like a christmas tree.

This was the end alright, all that remained of Mirage was a charred mess, her mane was almost completely gone, her tail had been cut short by a blowtorch, leaving only a few inches, her wings were shriveled up at her sides and one of her eyes had been burned through in a nasty scar, leaving only a blackened eye. Her chest looked like foals had played tic-tac-toe on it with a flamethrower, which was pretty close to what had really happened. She was not breathing, not one bit.

The fire rose in the room, beginning to lick my back hooves with its flaming tongues, it stayed away from Mirage almost completely, which was a bit of a relief. I closed my eyes, ready to leave the world I once knew.

"Aero!" Somepony shouted, "They're in here!"

I opened my eyes, revealing a large red and black Alicorn standing before me, he was adorned with royal guard armor.

Another pony flew in and stood next to him, she was also adorned with royal guard armor, but she had a light orange coat, accompanied by a darker orange mane and tail.

"Grab them, we need to take them to Celestia." The mare said.
