Shiera couldn't recall falling asleep, but she must have, as her eyes opened up. Her body was still in severe pain, but she willed herself to move anyways, even if it was just a crawl. She was in a woods of some kind, trees were all around her. Her body felt strange, it didn't feel like it used to. She must have broken something then. However, she was in too much pain to tell exactly what though.

Her mouth was dry and raspy. She needed water. She scanned her immediate area for any source of water. She spotted a small stream a few meters away from her. Desperate, she slowly, agonizingly dragged herself towards it, moving but mere inches at a time.

after what seemed to be fifteen minutes, she reached it and lapped at the water with her tongue desperately. After she had her fill, she felt pain over take her, and she fell unconscious once more.

Twilight had just finished packing her bags. She had been given a report from Fluttershy that a strange meteor had fell into the Everfree Forest last night. It had disturbed the local animals, and even had a few Timberwolfs running away in fear. Twilight was sure it was nothing, but she promised Fluttershy that she would look into it for her sake.

"Notebook? Check. Writing Quills? Check. Ink? Check." read Spike, checking the items off the list. "Is it really necessary to bring all that writing stuff? I mean, i thought we were supposed to be checking out some freaky space meteor, not writing an essay or something."

Twilight chuckled, "Of course it is, Spike. You never know what we might discover! Plus its not everyday we get to examine and inspect a meteor from outer space! Think of all the things we might learn! Perhaps a new kind of metal, or an element we haven't seen before, or--oohI--a new form of bacteria never seen before to ponykind!" she said with little dance of excitement.

Spike sighed, "Leave it to you to find dirty old space germs interesting...." he mumbled, folding his arms. But he sighed again, "Alright, that should be everything on the list. Is there anything else before we go, Twilight?"

"Of course! i will be needing a few books as reference guides just in case, oh and we don't have to worry about food, Pinkie packed a picnic basket for all of us," she replied with a smile.

"All of us?"

"Yeah, AppleJack, Rarity, and the others will be coming along too, the Everfree forest is a dangerous place after all."

Spike nodded, "Yeah, you got that right."

With that, the two of them left the Golden Oaks library, and made their way through Ponyville, heading towards the Everfree Forest. It wasn't long before they found Rarity, Rainbow Dash, and Pinkie Pie all waiting for them outside the Sugarcube Corner.

"Oh look! Twilight is finally here!" Pinkie Pie exclaimed, jumping up in giddiness at her friend's arrival.

"Fluttershy told us that something fell from the sky in the Everfree Forest and frightened all the animals, the poor dears," Rarity said with a slightly worried look.

"I bet its some kind of sky monster that needs be pummeled into dust!" exclaimed Rainbow Dash, clearly itching for some action. Twilight rolled her eyes, "That is highly unlikely, Rainbow Dash. It's probably just a meteor that fell from space." Rainbow Dash sulked, "Oh come on! Surely it can't be something so....boring. It is probably a space monster."

Twilight sighed and began walking, with her friends not far behind. "AppleJack and Fluttershy are waiting for us at the forest edge," explained Rarity. "Good," replied Twilight.

"Hurray! Weird Forest-Space-Rock-Monster-Thing Adventure!!" cried Pinkie Pie as she jumped into the air and burst of confetti popped out of nowhere. "I can't wait!"

It didn't take long for them to meet up with AppleJack and Fluttershy. AppleJack had a worried face until they showed up, at which point she seemed to relax. "Ahm grateful that ya'll finally got here, Fluttershy has been very nervous." Twilight looked towards Fluttershy. "It'll be okay, i am sure its just a meteor that fell, nothing more," she said, trying to comfort her shy friend.

Fluttershy nodded, "I-I know, it's just that the animals were really spooked by whatever it was. I don't like seeing them so scared like that...."

"Well, like ah said before, there's no need ta worry, sugar cube. Everything will be alright."

"Of course! Now let's get going, who knows what discoveries await!!" Twilight said, not hiding the anticipation in her voice.

It took about an hour, and they had yet to see any sign of it until Rainbow Dash spoke, "Hey, it smells like something's been burning..."
AppleJack took a sniff, "Yep, smells worse than a magpie barbecue...if ahm bein' honest."
It didn't take long to find the initial crater. "Huh, that's not as big as i thought it would be, but it's still big....wait, where is the meteor?" Twilight asked upon inspecting the crater. There was burnt and broken trees all around it, and several smolding bushes and blackened patches of grass, but all fires had long since died out, thankfully. A forest fire would have been a terrible problem to face.

Pinkie Pie found her first. "Um, girls? There's a pony over here!"

"What?" the others all cried in unison, as they hurried over to Pinkie Pie who was sitting by a small stream. There indeed was a pony who laid next to the stream, unconscious. Her fur was a light grey, and her mane and tail were a luminous white, almost akin to the stars seen at night. They almost seemed to glow. But that was not the only strange thing about the pony. She was an adult mare unicorn, but she bore no cutie mark. And curious still, it seemed that she had crawled from the direction of the crater.

"She's hurt!" cried Rarity, lifting the pony's head off the ground. Twilight frowned, indeed, she looked very injured, but she was not as wounded as she should have been. Heck, with the amount of force it would take to make a crater that big, this pony should be dead. But she wasn't. Twilight's eyes widened as she noticed the steady rise and fall of the pony's chest, indicating she was breathing. "She's alive!"

"We have to get her to the hospital! How did she get here, and where is she from?" asked AppleJack. "And why doesn't she have a cutie mark?" asked Rainbow Dash. Twilight frowned, "None of that matters now, we need to get her some help and quickly."

"What are these?" asked Pinkie Pie, picking up two very long but thin blades. They were swords, but not of any design Twilight was familiar with. Each blade, not counting the hilt, was the length of a pony. The blades were razor thin on the edges, but deceptively thick in the middle. The hilt and guard of each blade was adorned in gold, however, after an experimental tap, it seemed there must have been some other type of metal underneath. And the grip was wrapped with a white leather of some kind, and left unwrapped tails which Twilight could only guess where used to tie to the hooves of the pony who wielded them. "They must be hers, we'll take them with us, just.....be careful with those Pinkie, you don't want to accidentally hurt yourself with them," warned Twilight.

"Will do!" Pinkie said, saluting. Now all that remained was figuring out how they were going to carry this pony back to Ponyville...

Depending on whether or not you all like this will determine if i should continue the story. The next chapter is guaranteed, but it might be a few days or even a week before i post it, due to my busy and complicated schedule.

I will try my best with this one, should you all like it, and will do my best to improve my work as i go. DISCLAIMER: please be a little lenient, as this will take a bit of getting used to for me.
