With a long yawn Mac woke from sweet slumber, only to found something sweeter. He was in bed with his lover spooned on him. The whole ordeal of not so long ago crashing soon after in his memory.

Mac tried to detect any semblance of time but Sunset only clock was nowhere in sight, maybe knocked out during their session.
Mac wasn't that worry about the time, when he and Sunset did have sex to placate her heat they will spend all their energy and as a result fall sleep for one hour or so, 90 minutes had been the longest. So by calculation if it was like that time and adhering a good extra hour for measure then it was most likely close to 4pm.

The sweat in his body had dried but the smell of sex was still strong in the air so that was also an indication. Mac knew that going back home was going to be awkward. By now his family was most likely arriving and if any of Sunset's friend hear about her sudden absence then chances were high that one or more of them will be coming to the apartment to check on her.

So the decision was made, Mac needed to leave. As much as he loved staying like this he knew better. When Sunset stepped out of the bath in her trademark purple panties and bra with the symbol she called a cutie mark, she found a plate with food and a glass of milk ready for her. She picked the pizza slice and kissed Mac in the cheek for the gesture, then walked next to the bed where her phone most likely fell.

Sunset did a mental note of changing the sheets before her sleep or chances were that the essence of sex was going to drive her bunkers again and this time there will be no Mac to control her. Finding her phone under the bed Sunset turned the electronic on only to gasp and almost choke in the slice of pizza already in her mouth.

Mac was by her side in an instant passing her the glass of milk and padding her back. Sunset drank the milk and coughed a little before turning the phone to Mac for him to see. When he saw the time marked in the screen his eyes almost left their sockets. It was 9:34pm. "Shit, how in tarnation it this late?, that never happen before!". Mac cursed while putting his boots and getting ready to return home.

"By Celestia, I got like 10 missing calls from each girl and a couple from the Principal, how are we going to explain things to everyone". Sunset dropped to the floor next to the bed and started to feel awful and stressed. So focus was Sunset in her self impose torment that she didn't realize when Mac sat next to her with the plate of salad in his lap. Putting his arm over her slender shoulders Mac pull her into a hug and with a peck in the forehead Sunset's drama mood vanished, Mac always managed to cheer her up no matter her troubles. It was one of many reasons why she loved him.

" Don't worry non Sunny, just remember what Miss Luna told us to say, ok?". Sunset nodded, now calm she did note of the alibi that she was to use. Mac then started feeding her from the plate, which did make hed laugh.

"Thanks, but I'm not a baby, and... Thanks... for everything. I love you". Sunset and Mac shared another kiss.

Mac rose from the floor with Sunset " For you anytime, love you too, now eat while the food is still hot, I'll lock the door behind me. I may be busy for the next 3 days but I'll call ya, ok?". Mac kissed one more time after she nodded then walked out of her apartment locking the door with the copy key that Sunset got him when they started going out.

Now inside the truck Mac found his phone and just like with Sunset's his also was full of missing calls and messages. Granny smith, Applejack and a few from Applebloom, there was one from Luna and Mac knew where to start.

Dialing her number Mac started his trek back home " About time one of you answer, Seriously Mac you know how close I came to fight with Tia because I didn't told her in time about you two?, that cider is starting to look like a cheap bargain now" Luna was angry and Mac could understand.

"Sorry miss Luna let's just say that thing went longer that expected, we'll make it up to you and Miss Celestia, how about becoming the godmothers for our first child". Mac joked of course but apparently Luna didn't took it as a joke.

Luna just did a bunch of indistinguishable noises before finding her voice. "MACINTOSH APPLE DON'T TELL ME THAT SUNSET IS PREG...?!".

"It's a joke just a joke of course she isn't, geez". Mac tried to calm the lady on the other side of the line." But I'm serious here, I'll be happy if you and miss Celestia could be the godmothers for my kid".

"Maaaaaah that is sooo corny Macintosh, ha ha ha but we'll be honoured, just don't blame us if we spoil your kids, anyway, I'll talk with Sunset tomorrow, take care kid". And with that Luna hung up, Mac put his phone away and continued the road home sure that more ear breaking questions awaited him.

SUNSET SHIMMER'S APARTMENT...
"Ok think Sunset who do you call first, Applejack is out of the question, She's provably chewing Mac right now. Pinkie?, nope definitely not Pinkie. Fluttershy? ... That may work". Before Sunset could dial the number of her shy friend another of the girls beat her to it." Hey Twilight, sorry for not answering your calls... I was, well, I kinda... I felt sleep and... I just woke up, Bu-but I'm fine now, everything is fine now he he, sooo how you doing?". Sunset tried to sound casual while mentally hitting her brain with a hammer because of her stuttering.

"Thank goodness, I was worried and the other too,when we hear from Rarity that you were unwell Fluttershy went to look you up in the infirmary but nurse Redheart told her that you weren't there, then Vice-principal Luna told us that you were dismissed for the day and Applejack's brother took you home". Twilight explanation sounded like what Mac and Luna have concocted, so all that Sunset needed was stick to the script and play along but Twilight wasn't done.

"We tried to call you and Big Mac but neither would answer, so we chose to check on you". Sunset had a sinking feeling hearing that, and it was confirmed when her friend continued." Fluttershy and I came to your apartment and found Big Mac's truck and your car still in the parking lot but when we knocked on the door non of you would open it, we call your phone number again and Fluttershy say she could heard your ringtone coming from inside as well some other... noises".

Taking a deep breath Sunset asked the next question hoping for the best but waiting for the worst." What... noises?".

"Fluttershy said that sounded like yelps and groans but... I know what those were". Sunset's heart leaped to her throat and she almost broke her phone under her grip." You and Big Mac... Were... arguing".

Sunset felt that her brain disconnected for a second there and had to shake her head a couple of times before it could found it place again."I'm sorry what?".

"You and Big Mac were fighting over something, right? I mean it sounded like when my brother and Cadence were in his room for a long time and sometimes I could heard noises like those. When i asked my brother what those noises were he told me that he and Cadence were arguing and he was all red face so I guess it was pretty awkward".

Sunset hear Twilight explanation and if she had any question about how far has she and Timber Spruce's relationship got they were answered by that." Yep that is totally what happened, Mac wanted me to rest and sleep but I wouldn't listen and an argument broke up and we were so tired after that that we fall sleep, yep that's it. Now Twi did you or Flutter told the other girls what happened?". Sunset was crossing her fingers hoping that Twilight's innocent tale was believable enough for the more mature minds of Rainbow and Rarity, especially Applejack who probably was questioning Mac by now.

"We only mentioned the argument part to Applejack since it was her brother involved but to the rest we told them that you were fine, I hope we didn't mess things up with that". Sunset was so relived by that that she almost wanted to hug the heck out Twilight.

"No, you didn't do anything wrong, sorry to worry y'all, I'll be back just dandy tomorrow, ok?". Sunset almost hung up when she heard Twilight giggle." Twilight?".

"Oh, sorry is just that lately you sound a lot like the Apples, like when Big Mac drags the 'p' in his yeps and nopes". Twilight was now driving Sunset through a rollercoaster were her heart was the lonely passenger.

"Yep I mean yeah, is just all the time that I spend around them that is getting to me he he". Sunset mentally slapped herself across the face with those slip ups.

"I know, with the tutoring and all that's probably it, anyway I'll see you tomorrow Sunset, take care". Twilight was ending their night chat ready to sleep.

"Good night Twi". Sunset pressed the end button and letting a heavy sigh she dropped over her bed while massaging her eyelids, today could get anymore crazy, she was a back up cheerleader, she got horny, she left school in the middle of the day to fuck with her boyfriend and almost was catch in the act by two of her friends. Yes definitely a crazy day. Mac had expected that so AJ little posture didn't affect him. When he did get closer she put down her tool and got up with a scowl and the ranting started "Well, about time you showed up, leaving the farm unattended and been all dingy with one of ma friends hmm?, so what do ya have to say about that buster?".

"Ain't pass yur bed time already little sis and I was helping that friend of yur so i don see the problem" Mac went full Southern on his sister, Apple tradition dictated that trash talking was done with the minimum of fancy words and to the point, the first one to show fear would lose.

Just when Applejack was preparing her next line Granny Smith cut thinks short." Applejack?, what did i told ya?".

"But Big Mac was... Ok I'm going to bed, but only because i wanna, not because you told me, get it?". AJ poke Mac in the chest and did a cute pout that meant 'this wasn't over' only for Mac to spank her once she turned her back on him causing her to yelp and jump, she turned with an angry growl ready to pound on Mac.

Mac knew of Applejack's magic enhanced strength, he have seen her almost flip a mini bus with her bare hands, he also new that while strong, she still had the stamina and endurance of a normal farmer girl. He also new how to deal with that strength of her so Mac stood his ground. Maybe feeling that it wasn't worth the trouble Applejack huffed and left while rubbing her butt cheek.

Mac shook his head, then continued on to his second obstacle for he knew that his granny wasn't waiting just because she was worried." Reckon I'm in some kind of trouble Granny".

"Just wait a bit there". Slamming the tip of her walking cane in the floor, Granny Smith called to the spy eavesdropping on the adults.
"Now missy, if yu don want me spanking you in the other cheek, you better go to bed for real this time". Mac hear a mumbling noise coming just behind the door followed by quick steps running up the stairs. Mac then turned to Granny with a smirk. "young ones, think they can outsmart old folks like me ha ha, so child, how was the rodeo with bacon hair".

Mac shouldn't be surprised by what his grandmother just asked, he really shouldn't but he was. Maybe only Pinkie Pie was as random jet spot on as the old matriarch of the family. Still, Mac tried to play the innocent game. "Gee Granny, i sure don know what yur talkin about".

Mac expected Granny to call him on his bullshit or to get angry, instead she laughed, a soft and at the same time sad laugh that somehow froze Mac, it was an unique laugh that she only reserved for when a family member pass away. When the sadnesses of knowing that you wouldn't see them again combined with the hope of them been in a better place.

"Son, you just remind me of yur papa when I asked him about yur ma and he'll denied going out with her just to not see me angry". Granny Smith had the face Mac knew as the memory lane face. To hear about his parents and how they also avoided coming open about their relationship for not upset a family member mirrored in Mac and Sunset's situation perfectly.

"So, when did you figured out?" Mac asked, dropping any denial as he knew that Granny could see through any lie, another Apple tradition he guessed.

The old lunch lady thought hard for a moment. " Wasn't easy i tell ya, you two are better that Bright Mac and Buttercup at keeping quiet. All started small, little details like the googly eyes you did when you thought that no one saw you, how Sunset started speaking a little bit like us, out of all AJ friends She was the one more curios about ya but in a more hush hush way that Sassity and Snowball Crash".

Mac almost laughed. "Ya know those ain't them names, right?".

Granny Smith only smiled mischievously. " i know, they don and that's the funny part. Anyway even with all that I wasn't sure, those two lassies did a good number on you before so I thought dat you were playing the gentleman, but then before yur birthday Sunset asked me if she could borrow a picture of the family, the one with yur parents on it, i didn't ask her why but she told me anyway, that it was for something special, and a few days later you appeared with that blink around yur neck and won't even tell where you got it to Applebloom". Mac recalled everything that Granny said and how difficult was to resist Applebloom's puppy eyes. "When I saw you guarding that from anyone I knew that it was from her and what it had inside".

Mac took his Locket in his palm and removing the lock handled the silver object to his Granny. She opened the little jewelry piece and her face was adorned with a smile when she saw the two pictures. Then give the locket back to his owner.

"Thanks Granny for keep quiet, it's only until my birthday, then we'll tell everyone". Granny nodded. "So, can I count on you to stop Applejack from murdering me that day".

"Heck no, that's yur problem boy ha ha ha, now to bed you too, you have to make up for today and no bed wrestling in my house, ya hear".

Mac smiled and did as commanded, as he did his way to his room he could only recount how crazy the day has been. One in bed Mac opened the locket and watching Sunset's photo he wished for a happy birthday around his loved ones.
