Chapter 1 Once a spark has been lit
During The Cleansing
Obsidian POV
I look out into sea from my tower wondering what lies beyond the blue waves and the ever closing equestrians with there two princess's before sighing and looking back at the forest doing nothing for another two hours.
I bring up my rifles scope and search for anything out of the ordinary and noticing nothing has changed before seeing a small but noticeable to the trained eye a glint of gold hidden around 100 meters in the forest.
My eyes quickly dart around the area where i spotted the glint and noticed more nearby surrounding my home town, I summon a alarm horn and blow it making a loud boom for both the guards and invaders to hear in a mile radius.
I jump out of the tower just as a spell is thrown at it making it explode sending splinters everywhere,I cover my unprotected face with my arm and quickly cast a small shield bubble spell getting most of the splinters but not getting the first five bouncing off my Armored arm.
I bring my hand down and grab my shatter longsword and a large metal shield just as i hear a yell coming from behind me, I turn around and bring up my shield just as a sword slams into it, I growl before bashing the pony away and stabbing it in the chest,I pull out my sword and send magic into it causing it to shatter into tiny pieces and float around me.
I hear more shouts and send a few pieces there way and then send the rest into the surrounding forest hearing the sound of flesh being pierced and ripped before recalling them back leaving only the bodies of the company that where just entering the clearing.
I look back at my town and see that the east deference has been lost and half of the towns buildings burning while every remaining soldier not defending the rest of the walls protecting the civilians trying to reach the docks,I jump over the wall startling the guards on it before they quickly turn back to the forest weapons ready.
I run into town stopping in the main road that splits the town in two and race down to the docks killing all ponies that are in my line of sight, I summon my tendrils as they burst out of my back and spear all the ponies that are trying to break through the wall of shields and spears.
The soldiers that where holding the wall quickly realize that the weight that they where stopping has ceased and made them peak out seeing me with the pony's body's hanging of my tendrils four feet off the air before being thrown of landing into alleyways of the side of the street.
"Get the civilians out of here and on those boats dammit" I shout to them but noticed them staring up behind me I turn a see a sight that will haunt me forever, princess celestia and Luna in the air combining there magic for a spell that I could tell would destroy the town instantly.
I try to bring up s spell that would hold make it go off course but they fired it, instinctively I morph my tendrils into wings and fly up just below the clouds and watch paralyzed with fear and the town and boats harbored there with the civilians vaporized less that 10 seconds.
I stare at what my home used to be before looking at the princess's and ready my sword and magic before a familiar horn sound off in the distance,I look out to sea and see my ship the serpent a mile away, i spare a glance at the Ashe's before speeding off towards the ship.
I land on the deck and im immediately swarmed and asked questions like what happened and is everyone okay, I sadly put up my hand making everyone go quiet "Im sorry everyone but.....t-there gone" Im meet with silence before everyone silently starts to sob.
I look down and clench my fist before charging it with magic and firing it at the equestrians on the remains and cheering,quickly making the scatter as i throw spell after spell before dropping back onto deck everyone had finished sobbing as I was half way throwing my spells,they stared angrily at the shore "everyone get to your stations, civilians go to the sleeping quarters or cargo hold if its full now move move move" I say to everyone.
I walk up the stairs and enter the command bridge and sit in my chair while everyone goes around getting everything up and running "sir enemy ships have been spotted approaching from the west right in our path" one of my crew says,I get up off my chair and summon a telescope.
"One galleon,two frigates and three brigs with a dozen gunboats" I pass my telescope to my second in command and grab a microphone "Battle stations I repeat battle stations" I let go of the microphone "I want every battery aimed at those frigates and galleon".
I walk over to a lever and pull it down causing nothing to happen but i smile as i notice the gold on the ships decks go down low, everyone just looks at me questionably "that my friends was and E whistle something i had invented that only equines can hear" they still looked at me, I just roll my eyes "its like a dog whistle but for equestrians instead of dogs" they get a look of understanding and get back to work,
I Hear the thunderous boom from the guns and watch with a smile on my face as the frigates are immediately turned into crumbling wreaks on fire while the galleon just got hit on its deck, it tries to turn around but another volley of rounds hits it in the middle, cutting it in half and destroying 7 out of the twelve gunboats with its weight.
I watch as the brigs try to turn back but get peppered with machine gun fire making them slowly turn sideways crashing into each other and crushing the remaining gunboats underneath there massive wooden bodies, "good job boys now lets get out of here" I smile at the burning remains of the equestrians ship glad at getting some revenge.
I sit back in my chair and became to drift off from the amount of spells and energy i used and fall asleep not knowing that one gunboat survived and stayed where it was when we where out of site and rushes back to shore to tell the princess's that one ship survived.

finally finished this chapter well hope you enjoyed this and any advice will be appreciated and i will explain where the kau kau (race of obsidian) stand technology wise and what shatter weapons are later in the story
1 week after The slaughter event
I walk around the deck trying to figure out what had happened since that day "How the hell did they find us we had the best mages do camouflage spells around the area and traps the size of timber wolf kings around the entire town but they somehow managed to get through all of that,even the anti magic field around the town".
I walk back and forth acouple times before my mind come to a solution and at that moment everything became silent "A bloody traitor" I growl out and clench my fist before walking back to the stairs that lead to the bridge and walk in, startling my crew at my sudden experience.
I walk to the micro phone, grabbing it I say into it "attention all crew members and civilians go to the front deck of the ship I repeat all crew members and civilians go to the front deck of the ship" I let go of the microphone and let it dangle.
"Sir whats going on?" one of my crew ask, "ill tell you all when your down there with everyone else" they salute knowing that arguing with me will lead to being stuffed in the full cargo hold,hands and feet tied together with handcuffs and given water and food three times a day for a week, harsh maybe but I want my crew to be ready to follow my orders and know when I mean business.
They file out of the room and I simply wait for afew more minute's for everyone else to come up,after that I grab the microphone and speak into it "attention everyone" this cause's everyone to quiet down "I have just discovered something that fuels me with rage and disgust, I have just discovered that the demise of our town was because of a TRAITOR"
This makes everyone yell out in rage to however did it but I notice one civilian slowly start walking away from everyone else "And where do you think your going" I say barley containing my anger as everyone looks around before spotting him abit away from them and he gulps.
"He he nothing....." he try's to run butI wrap a tendril that I snuck out the barley open door around his leg before he even got afew feet away causing him to trip and fall face first into the wooden deck, I walk out the door and jump down landing just behind him and grab him around the neck "oh im going to enjoy ripping your mind apart and seeing what cause's you to tick and maybe just maybe ill let everyone have there little game of beat the traitor until he is barely ALIVE".
I grin evilly and start dragging him into the ship,everyone on the ship heard the screams five minutes later and began to sweat apart from my crew who knew i would do this when ever a equestrian was taken prisoner.
I walk back to the bridge covered in blood and stop right outside the door, I shake most of the blood off but only half of my pants still stained with blood I just shrug and walk in taking a look at everyone doing the required task's and smile knowing that my crew trust me and I them.
"Fleet admiral on deck" one of the crew who noticed me enter says and salutes, the rest quickly follow i just stare at them "really now you introduce me like that what did i say about calling me by my full rank just say sir or obsidian" everyone nodded and I smiled.
"Anything to report?" one put his hand up "yes you" I point to him " sir we spotted a small island at least a day away at our current speed I recommend stopping there and resupplying on food and materials" I nod "good idea....?" I motion for him to say his name "Artemis sir".
"Well Artemis notify me when we reach the island I will brief you all on what i got from the traitor later right now im tired ill see you all in acouple hours" I activate my magic and Blink into my quarters and get undressed throwing the now black and red pants off to the side with the purple T-shirt I was wearing.
I plop onto the bed tired from the amount of magic it took to go through the traitors memories and fall asleep right then and there.
I awake to the sound of shouting from above, I blink acouple time to get rid of sleep and just grab the nearest clothes which happened to be a grey tank top and blue cargo pants and blink to the bow of the ship where some of my crew and a dozen civilians arguing about something.
"Oi" they continue "OI" they still continue "alright you asked for it" I breath in a massive amount of air before unleashing a massive roar
They immediately cover there ears and making everything silent for 5 seconds before my voice cuts through it loud and clear "alright now what the hell is going on here" they take afew second to recover before one of my crew answers "They tried to get the prisoner and through him overboard to drown but we stopped them they immediately began saying we were in league with him and we should also be thrown over board".
I just face palm before hitting both groups over the head with my tendrils "and none of you thought that I might not hear shouting above my room when im trying to sleep"my crew then began to pale as they remembered the last time someone forcefully woke me up and lets just say he had to stay in the hospital for 6 months.
"you know what you twelve are right now stuck on cleaning duty and if i hear you whining i will break one of your limbs and still make you clean" the civilians quickly rush off to clean what ever needs cleaning and I just watch them go for abit before sighing.
"meet me in the bridge in 10 minutes" I blink back to my room and began to get more presentable.
(10 minutes later)
I blink back into the bridge and walk to the middle of the room with everyone's eyes on me, I stand looking at everyone before speaking "everyone what i discovered has made me more angry than ever......The TRAITOR we captured intended to work with the ponies to gain control over all of us and be his slaves in exchange for information and technology but backed out of the deal when it came towards giving them tech but they already got the whereabouts of the town and it defenses" everyone was shocked and angry "In which lead to The Slaughter and where we are now".
I was going to say more but my eyes caught something I caught something with my eyes that I would not think that would go this far west "Equestrians" I growl making everyone look to there left making them full of rage.
"BATTLE STATION I WANT THOSE BASTARDS TO ROT IN THE DEEPEST PARTS OF THE OCEAN" I yell out as the crew began running to the spots and readying the batteries and machine gun, I smile knowing that those bastards will not survive this day.

also with the technology they are a mix of steampunk,WW2 and medieval and the shatter weapons are a type of weapon that has been shattered into tiny pieces and had runes and enchantments on each piece while a similar rune is put on the users body to control the pieces, how to put the blade back together to it not have any magic inter the weapon and it will reassemble, with magic in the blade it will become pieces again and will orbit the user waiting for a command,to control the pieces is simply thinking of them flying to the target.
