Like any well known building, Canterlot High had it's own share of rumors. Some were proven; like the Dazzlings attempt to enslave the school, or the horse statue being destroyed during the Friendship Games.
"Are you sure about this?" Thunderlane whispered as he followed Micro Chips through the currently empty halls of Canterlot High, one of the hall clocks showing it was almost midnight. "What if we get caught?"
Others....less so...like the claim that Principals Celestia and Luna moonlighted as princesses in another reality.
"Hey, you agreed to come along!" Micro responded, making his way to the stairwell. "The sooner we prove this whole 'haunted school' deal is malarky, the sooner we can get out of here."
One rumor in particular had most of the students eager to steer clear of the grounds when night fell.
"What?? You didn't say ANYTHING about going after...after her!" Thunderlane protested. "What if SHE'S the one that gets us!?"
In recent months, several claimed to seen a terrifying figure wandering the grounds late at night. Any that tried braving the school when the sun set soon came out screaming, saying they were accosted by what most were now calling The Canterlot High Hag. A horrific-looking female with glowing eyes and fangs that flew into a near rage at those it saw.
"And I'm telling you, it's nothing but mass hysteria brought on by someone sensationalizing something they imagined!" Micro snapped back.
"Oh? And who says they imagined it?"
"I don't know! Probably Roseluck or one of her sisters. Everyone knows how easy they can panic over something."
"Ok. But...Micro?" Thunderlane's voice quavered.
"What?"
"Th-th-that wasn't me asking...!"
"Say what...?"

Both boys gulped when the third voice spoke up again. Shaking, they turned to look down the hall. Floating in the air was the hazy red figure of a woman. As soon as they saw her, she hissed, showing a mouthful of sharp teeth. "Fresh meat!"
"THE CANTERLOT HIGH HAG!" They shrieked in unison, slamming into each other, then the wall beside them before finally regaining some of their bearings.
The specter watched them tear down the hall and smash into the lockers trying to make the corner, knocking one of the doors loose. They managed to recover and resumed their screaming escape when she started floating towards them.
"Hn...dumbasses." The 'Hag' sneered, its haze dissipating to reveal the demon form of Sunset Shimmer when she was evil.
Or as she preferred: Sunset Shadow. Unfortunately for her, ever since she was ripped from her body by the elements, she'd been reduced to a lingering phantom, chained to the area of her defeat. And while that was her fate, her goody two-shoes other self was gallivanting with the body SHE was going to rule in!
"Fucking 'Harmony'....fucking 'friendship...fucking Sunset fucking shimmer!" She snarled, throwing a fist at the wall, only to have it pass through. "Are you happy now!? I can't even break my damn hand on anything!" In all honesty, the only reason she could be seen now was because of all the ambient magic that was around.
"So this is what I've been reduced to; scaring idiots for a cheap laugh. That's not even entertaining now...huh?" She spied a paper that'd fallen out of the locker they hit. It was covered with crossed out lines...and addressed to Dusk Shine.
"Wait...didn't a Dusk Shine transfer here from the Crystal Prep place a couple of months ago?" Curiosity getting her, she moved in to take a better look.

"Wonder if they ever got the meat tenderizer out of his colon."
He chuckled a little and made his way up to the second floor. "Ok, Dusk; you got more important things to worry about now. Which room did I leave it?" Picking the last room he remembered being that day, he started looking through his desk.

Dusk froze when he heard the sound of the door locking behind him, followed by a voice he didn't expect, at least, not at that moment.
"Been waiting for you." The rather husky purr that came out in threw him for a bigger loop.
"S-sunset...what are...what are you doing here?" He asked, looking around to spy the redhead, wearing her old leather jacket, strapless halter top, and miniskirt.
"Well, I heard you were planning to come back." She strutted towards him, causing his eyes to follow her swinging hips, the skirt barely hanging onto them. "So, I decided to make my move." She draped her arms over his shoulders.

There was an audible 'click' as her mouth snapped shut, abject shock written on her face.
He just looked at her for a moment. "Definitely useful."
"So...what exactly did you want to talk to me about, Dusk?" Sunset Shimmer asked when she met up with him the next day. She wasn't too sure what was going on, but from the way he sounded, it was probably going to be a little awkward for him.
"Well..." He looked a little sheepish as he rubbed his arm. "Apparently I come from a long line of demon hunters. And...it seems that my family has the ability to bind otherworldy beings to them through sex..."
She stared at him blankly for several seconds. "...I really hope this is some bizarre idea of a pickup line."
"Yeah." Shadow snorted, appearing beside him. "Good luck with that."
