Chapters Team Rocket, The Weather balls
Chrysalis had decked out her lair so that is was a palace of comfort, she sat back and watched in amusement as her new minions proceed to entertain her to no end.
Braeburn had set their basket on fire when he had tried to use Spike to weld some metal to it, Cheerliee put it out and suggested Braeburn not try to weld Metal and Wood and instead bolt it down. this resulted in the trio breaking the opposite side of the basket while trying to hammer the metal and wood together, Spike suggested they not use metal and instead patch the holes in the balloons, in the end, he ended up with a piece of metal stuck to his foot, as the three proceeded to fail at every turn Chrystalis levitated a basket over to her, pulled out some old clothes she found and made the three matching outfits, White Shirts with a Red R on the chest, Pant's for Braeburn, a skirt of Cheerliee, as Spike did not wear clothes she pulled out a Colar with a Good luck charm on it and cast a few simple enchantments on it before calling them over.
"Alright, you three are going to kill yourselves, stop and come here."The trio left the wreckage and walked over to her, she gave them their respective outfits, and gave them all a changing curtain to dress behind. as they did this she set her magic to work fixing their balloon, Spike was done first for an obvious reason.
"Oh, what a neat little charm," he said tapping it happily, Braeburn was next, he was wearing a white shirt with a red R and a black undershirt, White pants with a Black belt, Long Black gloves, and Black hoof covers, along with a hat that also had an R on it, Cheerliee's shirt showed off her belly, and she had a short skirt, no hat, and her gloves where longer, other than that it was the same outfit.
"Strike a pose," Chrysalis added after a moment, Braeburn and Cheerliee both stood on one hoof and pointed with their left hands, their right one's behind their heads, Spike was in the middle hopping on one foot waving his arms about trying to stay balanced. "Perfect, now turn around." The trio turned and met face to face with a perfectly fixed Hot air Balloon.
"Oh wow!" Cheerliee cheered
"I'm Speechless!" Braeburn added
"Word's fail me!" Spike finished, Chrysalis scratched her head and waved them off.
"Go attack Ponyville, oh and don't worry I'm always watching, so should you fail, I'll fix up your stuff or teleport you back should the need arise." The Trio saluted before pushing the basket out of the cave and leaving Chrysalis to her own devices, she proceeded to light her horn and watched as an entire wall lit up with the image of her minions. "I chose the best day to watch Ponyville." She decided as she went to prepare some snacks.
"Alright, we need a plan!" Cheerliee said as she helped Spike into the Balloon, it was a large white and black Balloon with a Large red R on it.
"Let's throw more stuff at Ponyville!" Spike suggested.
"I have a better idea!" Braeburn interrupted "I have here the plan to end all plans." Braeburn pulled out a large pipe with a handle on the end, "A weather changing device of my own invention." He cheered. "See first we load it with a weather ball." Braeburn pulled back on the handle to reveal a Large Pink Orb "Then we shot it at our target, then boom! Instant weather depending on the ball!" Spike looked at the 'invention' for a moment.
"You bought this from the back of a Comic book, I recognize it, it was marketed as a Potato gun."
"You can't prove that!" Braeburn shot back as he turned away from Spike "Anyway I modified it with Weather balls of my own invention, we only have two Whether balls, a snowstorm ball, and a Twister ball."
"Alright, let's give this 'weather ball' thing a try, and should push come to shove we can just fly away to safety!" the Trio started up their Balloon and made their way towards Ponyville.
Rainbow and Twilight were talking about what had transpired earlier in the day when Rainbow saw the Balloon.
"Holy shit they've gone on brand!" She laughed as she pointed it out to Twilight.
"You have got to be kidding me." she sighed in irritation "You three are the dumbest ponies I've ever met, how Cheerliee became a teacher is beyond me."
"Fire the weather ball at her." Cheerliee decided, Braeburn held it up and Spike helped him aim it.
"What the heck is that?" Rainbow asked as they pulled back.
"Fire?" Spike asked his team.
"Fire?" Braeburn asked Cheerliee.
"Fire!" Cheerliee yelled.
"Firing!" Braeburn replied, pulling the handle back and letting it go with a snap, the ball flew 5 feet away before dropping like a rock.
"That ball was either really heavy, or this Potato gun isn't strong enough," Spike said as he pulled himself over the edge and watched it hit the ground with a crack. nothing happened for 5 seconds, it then proceeded to snow.
"Hey, it worked!" Spike and Cheerliee yelled out in shock. Twilight and Rainbow looked around in confusion.
"So should we consider them as possible threats now?" Rainbow asked.
"Please, they just made it snow ligh-" without warning the snow fell hard, the storm lasted 20 seconds, and in that time Twilight ended up knee-deep in snow. "-Rainbow this is too stupid for me to deal with, you do it." She decided as she teleported the snow around her away. Rainbow flew up to the Balloon while the trio was deciding what to do next.
"Alright, this one will cause serious damage so we should probably not use this hunk of junk." Cheerliee decided as they took the ball out of the Launcher.
"Nice to know it was the thing I didn't make that caused the problem." Braeburn cheered as he tossed the launcher aside.
"OK, now we just need to figure out how to launch it and get away really fast," Spike said when Rainbow reached into the Balloon, and pushed the orb out of their hands, making it fall and break inside said Balloon, the trio blinked at the ball, then each other then turned to Rainbow dash who waved before flying back down the Twilight.
"Oh dear." they all said in unison.
"Alright I broke their ball thing, it'll snow again then they are out of-"Rainbow was cut off as the Wind picked up severely and she and Twilight went slack-jawed as a Twister formed in front of them and sucked up the balloon.
"Figures we had the materials-" Cheerliee said as they spun around.
"-But we didn't have the right tools." Braeburn finished.
"Next time you make something we are testing it first but for now-" The wind died down and the Deflated Balloon flew long and far.
"TEAM ROCKET'S BLASTING OFF AGAIN!" They screamed before disappearing from view.
"Where did they get that thing!" Rainbow demanded, "I know the Snowstorm ball was from a Comic book, but what the heck was that!?"
"Great, now I actually have to deal with them." Twilight muttered, "They're gonna get themselves or others killed."

Team Rockets New Headquarters
The Trio all looked around at the mess they had made, their Balloon was once again deflated, the basket of it was at the top of a tree, Spike was hanging off a branch of the same tree, Cheerliee was laying in the dirt with eye swirls and Braeburn had managed to stay in the basket.
"So now what?" Spike asked as he swayed back and forth.
"I Have no idea." Cheerliee responded woozily "Braeburn?"
"I have an idea on where to go, but as for how to get down-" All three blinked in surprise as a green aura coated them and their balloon, Spike was removed from the tree, Cheerliee was cleaned of dirt, the Balloon was reinflated and the trio where all air born again. "Hey, she kept her word.!" Braeburn cheered.
"Thank you, Queen Ch-" Cheerliee and Braeburn were interrupted in their thanks when Spike jumped up and banged their heads together "-YEOW!!"
"Are you two stupid?" Spike demanded, "Who know's where we are, what is somepony heard you saying 'her' name!?"
"Oh...oh shot your right." Cheerliee agreed as she thought on it "We go yelling we work for her-"
"-Then the princesses will come after us and try to get info on her from us."
"Yeah, so let's avoid the C word...instead let us bow." Spike did just that.
"How do you know she's watching us from that direction?" Braeburn asked. Spike blinked.
"360 Bow," Spike suggested as he bowed and turned in a circle before standing back up. the two blinked at him.
"Genius," Braeburn replied as he repeated the bow. Cheerliee sighed.
"How about we just call her Boss?" She suggested, the two snapped.
"Oh, that's way better."
"Yea, my idea was kind of stupid anyway." the trio saluted and said loudly.
"Thanks, Boss!" at that same moment Chrysalis was in a laughing fit.
"3-3-360 Bow!?" She laughed "These doofs are the best of the worst!" she wiped a tear from her eye "oh I'm so happy I found them."
"Alright so where we going Braeburn?" Cheerliee asked.
"We're heading to my invention shed!" he cheered, It's a little ways out of Applelossa, I was gonna have my stuff moved but since I'm not welcome at Cousin Applejacks and we don't wanna be a bother on our boss, we can hunker down there and plan our next move.
an hour and 47 minutes later-
"Thar she blows." Braeburn cheered as they landed at his invention shed, with was in reality not a shed but a spruced up old barn.
"Oh sweet, you made it sound smaller what with you calling it a shed," Spike said happily as he sat on the edge of the Basket. , and bonus there's a hole in the ceiling!"
"How is that a bonus?" Cheerliee asked as they floated to a stop over the large hole.
"Because it's more than large enough for us to park the Balloon in!" Spike cheered as they flew past it and landed on the ground in front of the barn.
"Wait, then why are we landing here!?" Cheerliee demanded
"It may be convenient, but it's still a sharp and jaggedly edged hole, we just need to buffer and line the sides, and then we can park there." Spike and Cheerliee got out and tied the Balloon down before Braeburn got out and produced the door key, only to find the door was unlocked once they got there, they walked into the dusty old barn and gave it a once over. It was full of random things, ranging from worthless junk to maybe salvageable junk." Cheerliee walked through the set of 9 tables (Most of which were missing at least one leg and were propped up on bricks and other such things. Spike looked around one of the tables and picked up a toy gun.
"I can work with this." He decided as he began combing through the piles of junk for some good things, seeing him do this Cheerliee joined in and met Braeburn at a table set under the only light the building had, the hole in the ceiling. Spike placed the toy guy, a small box with several springs, gears, and a rubber duck in it, a Carriage crank, and a fishing pole with no string, Cheerliee lay a jack in the box with a boxing glove in it, Several different sizes of Pipes, and a plunger with a broken handle on the table.
"Alright," Spike said as he turned to Braeburn "You have any more of those weather balls?" He asked.
"Tons." Braeburn replied, "I won a radio price and got a crate full of Snowstorm balls that I, with a little reverse engineering, proceeded to turn some of them into Twister balls, Thunderstorm balls, Heatwave balls, and Flood balls." He smiled before adding "It was the Thunderstorm ball that got me chased out of Applelossa, but I Never told anypony about my Invention shed so we'll be safe here!"
"OK, why don't you go look through the junk and try and invent something." Braeburn grinned and ran to the table. "Distract him, I'll try and whip something up with what we got" He whispered to Cheerliee.
"On it." She replied before running after him. "So is there a second floor?"
"Oh yeah, I got more tables up there!" He cheered "I thought I'd picked them all clean, but If you guys think something can be made with that stuff, maybe you can find something useful up there." the two made their way up a ladder and Spike set to work on making something out of the random junk in front of him.
"Alright, Spike I found some more...oh wow." Cheerliee and Braeburn looked at the odd contraption Spike had made, Using the pipes Spike had made a body similar to that of the Potato launcher they had made, only it had two open ends, and by the looks of it Spike had torn the pieces up and welded them back together with his fire breath, on the lower part it had the Jack in the boxes Crack, the upper part had the Fishing pole crank, on the end facing Spike he had hocked up the toy gun's trigger. melted to the bottom of the bottom pipe was the Rubber duck.
"I present the Sucker Punch Weather tosser." Spike said holding his Creation up, "First attack mode, Spike put his hand on the Jack in the box crank, wound it up until his hand started shaking, and turned to a pile of cans, he let go and the Crank spun back and with a loud click the Boxing glove shot out the bottom on the end of the Carriage crank and burst through the cans, Spike wound back up the Jack in the box crank and brought the glove back in, stopping when it clicked. "Second attack mode." Spike wound up the Fishing pole crank and let it go, this time Springs shot out, at its end was the suction-cup of the plunger. the two stared at him for a moment before he added: "We Stick a weather ball to the suction cup and when we fire it'll go flying."
"Oh!"
"Alright, so what does the actual trigger do?"
"Absolutely nothing." Spike responded, "It's a ruse, is somepony steals this in the middle of the fight and turns on us, their first instincts will be to pull the trigger on use, and when they do and nothing happened we jump them and take it back!" Spike laughed at his own genius
"That's stupid," Cheerliee said bluntly.
"You're just jealous you didn't think of it!" Spike snapped back.
"Well, I think it's amazing!" Braeburn said as he took it From Spike "Now let me just-" Braeburn walked past the can's Spike had knocked over and to an old wardrobe, he opened one of the drawers and loaded the S.p.w.t with one Weather ball, Spike came over and put two more in his satchel before the trio turned and made their way to the balloon, Cheerliee taking the key and locking the door, as soon as the door was closed Chrysalis teleported into the messy base with a tisk.
"Let's see." She muttered, after looking around for a moment she blasted one of the walls and in a flash, it turned into a screen showing her Team Rocket. "Alright, now I can watch and work, time to fix this junkie place up."
Unaware of the maintenance going about in their new lair the Trio made their way to Ponyville, it took an hour but they managed to make it to Sweet Apple acres while Rainbow and Applejack were talking."
"-I just feel bad, he was dangerous, but he was family!" Aj said Rainbow was about to respond when she saw the Balloon.
"Oh hey there back." She said, Aj turned and Team rocket waved.
"Hi Applejack." Spike said merrily before blinking "Oh wait were enemies now I forgot!" Spike reached into his bag and pulled out an Orange Weather ball.
"That's the flood ball," Braeburn said as Spike tossed it overboard.
"What the-?" Applejack asked as it cracked.
"Forecast calls for a sudden flash flood!" Spike called, on cue, a thunderous roar sounded through the Orchard, Rainbow Grabbed Applejack and took to the sky, the two watched as Sweet Apple acres flooded momentarily before the water receded, the two landed and looked around, the flash flood had tipped an alarming number of Trees and Big mac walked up to them soaking wet."
"Braeburn!" Applejack yelled as the Trio made their way to Ponyville, Twilight was waiting for them, having spotted them on the way.
"Alright like we practiced on the way here," Cheerliee whispered before clearing her throat and jumping out of the Basket "Prepare for Trouble!" Twilight opened her mouth to responded when Braeburn jumped out and joined her
"And Make it double!"
"To protect the world from Devastation!" Cheerliee said striking a pose.
"To unite all ponies within our nation!" Braeburn added Spike hit a button on a small machine and the Balloon light up with lights as the two continued.
"To Denounce the Evils of Truth and Love," Cheerliee said changing to a new pose.
"To extend our reach to the stars above" Braeburn added, throwing a rose up in the air as he did a small turn
"Cheerliee!"
"Braeburn!"
"Team Rocket blast off at the speed of light!" Cheerliee stomped her left hoof into the ground and slide the other across it, holding up her right arm and placing the left behind her head as she said this.
"Surrender now, or prepare to fight!" Braeburn added mimicking her pose, their hooves touching each other as they did this.
"Yeah, that's right!" Spike called out, Jumping from the backed and landing on his hands, gripping his two partners' legs as he did this, the Trio stood in silence as Twilight stared at them.
"How have you three gotten this far in one day?" She asked in confusion.
"Our new boss helped us quite extremely," Braeburn replied
"Yeah, We'd probably still be trying to fix the Balloon after our first blast off without her." Cheerliee agreed, Spike pushed off their legs and smacked them.
"Don't tell her about the boss, use the Sucker punch Weather tosser on her!" Braeburn reached into the basket and pulled out their trashy looking weapons and began winding up the Boxing glove.
"Really? what you thought adding a second Barrel and some junk to your toy would make it-" With a click, Braeburn released the Crank, and the Boxing glove shot out, Twilight teleported out of the way in time and ended up above them."-Alright, Twister twins this ends now."
"There are three of us!" Spike yelled back "Notice me!" Twilight light her horn and tossed Spike back into the basket. "Ow!"
"Hey no disrespecting Spike, he's a valuable member of Team Rocket!" Braeburn called out, Winding up the top Crank and sending the Weather ball flying high, Twilight moved and looked at it flew.
"No More Twisters today!" She said turning and chasing after the orb.
"Somepony bring me some rocks," Spike called from the basket, Cheerliee scooped some off the ground and joined Spike in the Basket while Braeburn pulled the Boxing Glove back into the Weapon.
"Might I have the Final weather ball?" he asked
"Here ya go," Cheerliee said handing the Yellow Ball to him.
"Thank ya kindly," Braeburn replied Sticking it to the suction cup and winding it back in. "Alright, lets...start the Balloon Applejacks coming!" Braeburn yelped as his Cousin and Rainbow came into sight, Braeburn cracked the Boxing glove and released, it flew out and Applejack skid to a halt, staying out of range while he began winding again when Twilight's magic took over the Glove and with a crack tore it from the rest of the gun. Braeburn stood dumbfounded face to face with his cousin before Cheerliee pulled him in and Spike set them into the sky.
"Give it up, I have your twister ball and you three are so not escaping me in a Balloon!" Spike responded by pelting a rock at her, it hit her. "Ow, Spike you little-" Twilight blinked as he rubbed her head and looked at the hand she was using, the one that had been holding a weather ball, she looked down at the broken orb before being hit by an overwhelming blanket of heat.
"Heatwave Ball!" Braeburn called, he and the other two beating their heads back and forth, as Spike held up a Fan.
"Braeburn fire the last ball!" Cheerliee called.
"One Thunderstorm coming up." He replied.
"Braeburn you're an Idiot," Spike said immediately "We are in a Balloon, out of all of the targets here we're gonna take the worst of a Thunderstorm."
"Oh...yeah I hadn't thought of..." Braeburn was interrupt when Rainbow flew up to them and yoinked the Weapon out of Braeburn's hands and turned it on them.
"Suck it." She said pulling the Trigger, she floated next to them in silence as nothing happened, Braeburn and Cheerliee lurched out and pulled the Weapon back.
"Told you!" Spike cheered "Fake Trigger for the-" Rainbow's fist came down and slammed the weapon to the ground, there was a crack and the weapon fell to pieces on the floor, the Weather ball lay broken in the pile "-Almost win." Rainbow smiled at them.
"Alright, Noobs, time to surrender and-" Rainbow felt the strong winds and looked around as Dark Thunder clouds built up right above her head, on instinct she bolted down to the ground and Team rocket watched as the floated into the sparking clouds.
"This one's going to hurt." They all said in unison, Applejack flinched as she watched the Balloon Glow as all the Storms Electricity went straight to the Balloon, the Trio Screamed and The Balloon Exploded.
"HA!" Rainbow laughed, her face went from gloating to shock as she watched the Trio Blast from the explosion screaming.
"Looks like Team Rocket's blasting off again!" They screamed as they flew high into the sky and were lost from sight.
"How do they do that!?" She demanded, "That's like the best way to escape!"
"I almost feel bad for them," Applejack said as she looked up at the sky "Almost."
"This is stupid." Twilight muttered, "I was supposed to be helping Starlight with our experiments on Inter-dimensional travel, but no! Spike had to choose today of all day's to do this, couldn't have waited till I was done!" Twilight muttered irritably as she made her way to the castle.
"Oh!" Chrysalis yelped "I think my Idiots just died!" She heard them screaming and watched the screen with her mouth open in shock. "Welp, it's official, those three are invincible." She said as she finished up her renovations on their base, She had filed the trash and disposed of all that was useless, replacing it with random knick-knacks like Lawn gnomes, Glue, Rubber Bands, a Stapler, and a lot more random non-broken stuff. "If they can make a Weapon from junk, they can do the same and better with not so Junkie junk." she decided as she looked around, she had set up a couch for them to sit and relax on, a bookshelf with random books, Magazines, and Comics was on the side, she'd left the Wardrobe alone, and had cleaned up the Upstairs and set up three beds, each with a small table and a chest at the end. She had added some lights and had installed a Bathroom for them, She had also fixed up the hole with a hatch that opened and closed with the pull of a lever, and for the Final touch she lit her horn and with a loud smack her Three mooks hit the floor and rolled onto their backs, they were all charcoaled, but they, and their clothes, were otherwise fine.
"Welcome home." She greeted, the Three immediately saluted her, though they stayed on their backs. "I've fixed up your Barn hideout, Get some rest, I'll get you three a new Balloon tomorrow."
"Yes ma'am," They said in exhaustion, Chrysalis cleaned them off with a spell and put them in the beds she had set aside, in a matter of seconds they were asleep.
"Ah, it's like when I had my hive, only these three are way too Stupid to try and Revolt against me." Happy to be commanding again Chrysalis teleported back to her home and proceeded to be a total creep and spy on random ponies.
Author's Note
the Carriage crank is that thing used to raise a car up to change a flat tire.
Braeburn was the first one to wake up, his dreams full of exploding balloons and other such fun, He stretched looked around at his two teammates, and proclaimed loudly.
"We don't have food do we?" The other two shot up immediately, whether they had just woken up or had just been being lazy was unknown.
"I have no idea," Spike replied as he hopped out of his bed, quickly making it before looking over the edge and down at the bottom floor of the barn, "I can see what looks like a bathroom...but as for something that might contain food," The three frowned as they thought of what to do when Cheerliee came up with a solution.
"I have food at home!" She cheered "We just need to grab my Refrigerator, some stuff from my cabinets, I can also grab that book I was reading about bears while I'm at it, and my toothbrush-" as Cheerliee started making a list of thing she needed to get from her home Spike realized he himself had left some of his personal items behind without thinking.
"Ah snap, I forgot my Comic book collection and my toothbrush, and I should probably get some supplies for letters so I can tell Gabby what happened," Braeburn looked around for a moment, before taking off his hat and looking at the toothbrush he had placed inside for safekeeping, it was singed and slightly melted but still usable.
"I'm gonna go put this in the bathroom," He decided as he made his way to the ladder.
-4 hours later-
"And done," Chrysalis said lazily as she finished the new Team Rocket Balloon. "Better go make sure they're awake," She teleported to their barn and froze at what stood before her, A most completed robot stood proud and tall in front of her, inside it Cheerliee was wearing a pair of thick gloves covered in wires and was making the robot's hand move, Braeburn was sitting inside staring hard at a set of two buttons. Spike was outside of the Robot Painting a Large Red R on its left arm, one was already present on the Left one and an R was also on its chest. Cheerliee was the first to notice that Chrysalis had arrived.
"Boss!" She squeaked, giving a salute that resulted in Spike falling on the floor, Spike lay for a second before saluting her from the ground, Braeburn saluted without looking away from his buttons.
"What...how...what?" Cheerliee demanded in confusion, "You three almost killed yourselves trying to fix a basket, how did you make a robot,"
"Ordered it from a Comic book a few years back," Braeburn replied thinking this the obvious answer.
"Took us like 3 hours to properly make an enlargement potion," Spike added from the floor "and an extra hour to get the paint right,"
"How are you controlling it?" Cheerliee demanded.
"It comes with gloves and boots so the robot will mimic your actions, it's a little slow, but on the bright side the hand cannons actual function as weapons!" Braeburn picked up a small controller that had 2 buttons on it, "One to fire the right, one for the left,"
"It fire's magical stunning blasts," Spike added "at its factory default side they don't do anything but tickle, but at this size, they can blast through the walls of Twilight's castle,"
"You...idiotic geniuses," Was the best Chrysalis could think to say as she imagined the robot destroying the castle, most of the upper part of the robot was the cockpit, it had two thick and stiff looking arms, with three fingers and a hole to fire the laser from, its torso was triangular, it's upper part being larger, and had two Hoof like legs, It looked a little old and clunky, but the fact that they had actually made a robot amazed her, and the fact that it was basically a stolen design just made her proud of her minions. She smiled for a moment before looking down at Spike.
"As a note for the future, you are allowed to get to your feet before saluting me, you don't have to just freeze like a deer in the headlights," Spike jumped to his feet and reinstated his salute, all three called out to her.
"Noted!" Chrysalis gave them a shooing motion.
"Go on now, don't let me stop you, finish your work," The three nodded and did just that, Cheerliee picked Spike back up and let him finish the R while she focused on trying to get a hang of moving the other arm, Braeburn stared hard at the buttons, After about 10 minutes the Paint on the arm was Dry and Spike was testing out using the legs while Cheerliee took a seat in a poorly made plastic chair. Chrysalis watched as the Robot moved like a Sumo wrestler trying to fly. The Feet moving stiff and in a weird squatting position that she pined to be due to Spike not being quite tall enough to properly wear the boots, the Hands were waving up and down, most likely due to Cheerlie reacting to the swaying motion of the robot, it took them well over an hour to get the robot to walk Chrysalis them teleported outside since there was no way to get the robot out of the barn without taking down a wall, then watched as it clunky began moving to ponyville,
"I Praise them for the idea, but not so much the execution, if they had had Cheerliee walking with Spike on her shoulders it might have actually worked," She lit her horn and teleported herself home, igniting her spying wall and showing the barn before rewinding a few hours. "Now let's see what lead to this,"
Several hours later
Spike was exhausted when Ponyville had finally come into view. Braeburn was sweating as he stared hard at the buttons and Cheerliee had almost fallen asleep when she saw the town.
"OH Sweet Chrysalis were actually here," She cried out with joy "Spike petal to the mettle!" Spike looked back at her with an Irritated look and she raised her hands up, the robot doing the same "You know what, just keep doing what your doing it's cool," As the two made their way to the town on the dirt road Applejack was telling Fluttershy what she had missed.
"-Then they started using these ball things that messed with the weather,"
"oh, I hope Spike is just going through a phase!" Fluttershy said fretfully.
"Well, whenever this phase is over he is gonna get a chewing out like none other before!" Applejack replied angrily as the sound of creaking filled the air, "It's gonna take me and Big Mac weeks to fix all the trees that were uprooted in that mega flash flood!" Applejack's ears twitched as the creaking got louder, then Braeburn spoke.
"You know I've just been calling them flood balls, but flash flood ball sounds like a more accurate name," Applejack and Fluttershy turned to his voice and froze as the robot clumsily made it's way to them.
"Let's think about names latter," Spike responded irritably "We got work to do,"
"Like our introduction!" Cheerliee replied as she got up and went to the left side of the cockpit, Braeburn moved to the right and the two pressed a button for the dome to pop open. the trio looked down at the two, who had looks of shock evident on their faces.
"Where in the name of Tartarus did you three get a Robot?"
"Comic Book," They replied in unison, raising more questions, before more questions could be asked Cheerliee called out loudly
"Prepare for Trouble!" the two looked at her in more confusion when Braeburn began his part.
"And Make it double!"
"To protect the world from Devastation!" Cheerliee said striking a pose, the Robot's arm's copying her hand movements
"To unite all ponies within our nation!" Braeburn added Spike held up a Flashlight and started flickering it like mad as the two continued.
"To Denounce the Evils of Truth and Love," Cheerliee said changing to a new pose, the Robot still keeping time with her.
"To extend our reach to the stars above" Braeburn added as he picked up his controller
"Cheerliee!"
"Braeburn!"
"Team Rocket blast off at the speed of light!" Cheerliee stomped her left hoof into the ground and slide the other across it, holding up her right arm and placing the left behind her head as she said this, Spike did his best to keep the legs steady as the arms copied Cheerliee movements.
"Surrender now, or prepare to fight!" Braeburn added mimicking her pose, their hooves touching each other as they did this.
"Yeah, that's right!" Spike called out, striking no pose as he was to busy trying to keep the legs steady, Cheerliee and Braeburn pressed the buttons and the top snapped shut, Cheerliee put her arms on her waist and smiled down at Applejack and Fluttershy, who were in shock, to say the least.
"I like it," Fluttershy called.
"Thank you we tried really hard to-" Cheerliee started before cutting herself off "-I'm mean who cares what you think, we are evil now and...do not care for you very well earned praise, now cower in fear of Team Rocket's Robot"
"Fix my trees," Applejack yelled at them.
"Never!" Braeburn called back.
"Good afternoon Applejack," Spike called, there was a moment of silence before he made a sound "Oh wait I'm the bad guy, um...Bad afternoon?"
"This is so badly a phase," Applejack said looking over at Fluttershy "And I blame Twilight completely,"
"Oh Hi Fluttershy I didn't notice you there," Spike called, the other two also saying hello before another moment of silence.
"I don't think I'm evil enough to hate on Fluttershy," Spike muttered as he scratched his chin.
"Excuse me, Miss Fluttershy?" Cheerliee called to her "Could you please leave, we'd all feel bad if we hurt or offended you in any way,"
"They might all be going through a phase," Applejack muttered thoughtfully before patting Fluttershy. "Can you go get Twilight? Angry as I am I would still like to try and talk them out of this, and she defiantly needs to apologize to Spike and maybe try and talk Cheerliee down,"
"What about me?" Braeburn demanded.
"You can fix the damage to my farm, then we can talk about apologizes,"
"Never!" Braeburn replied as Fluttershy flew away at a fair speed.
"OK, now that Fluttershy is gone we can..." There was a very long pause from the three, Applejack assumed they were quietly arguing over who got to explain what they were going to do when Spike spoke up.
"What are we doing again?"
"I think we gonna get breakfast?" Cheerliee replied tapping her chin, causing the robot to do the same.
"We built a robot to get breakfast?" Braeburn asked in confusion. Applejack fell into a sitting position as she listened to this,
"How can somepony be this stupid, but be smart enough to build a freaking robot?"
"We didn't build this we got it from a comic book," Braeburn called down.
"They do not sell working robots in comic books!" Applejack yelled back.
"We used an enlargement potion to make it bigger!" Cheerliee called back.
"What?"
"Potion's class was an elective in college," Cheerliee called back "I'm just amazed I actually had a reason to make one," Before this could continue Twilight landed next to Applejack, a look of amazement on her face.
"Did they build a-"
"Do not ask them!" Applejack replied sharply "There answered just raise more questions!"
"It's Twilight!" Spike called out "Quickfire da lasers!" Cheerliee clamped the left arm to the robot's side and held out the right hand, opening it so the large hole in the palm was facing Twilight and AJ, Twilight put up a shield and Cheerliee smiled.
"Braeburn hit the button!" Braeburn just that and blinked as sweat poured off his face.
"Oops," He managed to say before the laser fired, the laser from the left hand." The laser proceeded to cut the robot clean in half and the duo watched as the robot fell away from them.
"Wow," Twilight said with a shake of her head "Just...wow,"
"SERIOUSLY!" Spike and Cheerliee both screamed at Braeburn. "WE GAVE YOU ONE FREAKING JOB!"
"I had the Controller upside down," Braeburn said shakily, "I Didn't notice the L on the button until after I had pressed it," Spike looked over at Cheerliee.
"Cheerliee quick put both your hands on your side, Braeburn press both the buttons, we can both attack and escape!"
"Roger!" Cheerliee said as she pined her arms to her side, Braeburn began rapidly tapping on the buttons, the three prepared for takeoff, but instead noticed the cockpit getting hooter, Cheerliee raised the hands and the three all had less than stellar reactions when they saw them, Twilight had put bubbles around them and the energy was firing back into it the holes and back up the arms.
"Alright time to catch them," Twilight said with triumph when the entire robot began glowing red from the energy.
"Again?" The trio managed to ask before the backed-up energy caused the robot to explode, Twilight and Applejack watched as the trio flew high in the air and off into the distance.
"Looks like Team Rocket's blasting off again!"
"How does that keep happening?" Twilight asked in confusion, looking to Applejack who was staring up with a deadpanned expression.
"I don't wanna ask 'em, the answer will probably be more confusing than the question itself,"
The Trio had landed in a stream this time, Braeburn floating on his back, Spike had sunk like a rock, and Cheerliee floated with her back up, they were there for a few seconds before Chrysalis teleported them home, Braeburn just lay on his back, Cheerliee took a deep breath and Spike lay on the floor, his eye's swirling with a mouth full of water. Chrysalis waited for them to salute, instead, Cheerliee started banging her hands on the floor like an angry child, Braeburn turned onto his side and started crying, and Spike just continued drowning, Chrysalis lit her horn and Spike immediately threw up a ridiculous amount of water, Once he could breathe again he just fell to the ground and voice the problem, I'm so Hungry and so exhausted, and everything hurts,"
"You know," Chrysalis said, getting their attention "I must say that building a robot to both retrieve your personal items and get some food was a...very over thought and interesting plan, but next time..." Chrysalis move to the side and the three looked up to see a Refrigerator, several boxes of canned and boxed food, along with Spike and Cheerliee's respective items, including their toothbrushes. The three started crying as Chrysalis walked past them "...Just ask me to get them," With that, she teleported back to her home. In silence, the three all saluted their boss for a moment before B lining it to the food. Chrysalis smiled as she watched them make their meal.
"Being needed is nice," She said with a sigh as she spied on her minions who a good long while.
Team Rockets, second Robot
the Barn was full of movement, Braeburn had a nice selection of toy robots and was taking a few apart and combining them with others for their next mech, Spike was cataloging all of the weather balls and setting them up for later use, and Cheerilee was using an old pot to brew enlargement potions, she had only made one batch so far but it had been enough for three potion bottles to be filled, making a total of 5 counting the two leftovers from their first robot. Spike was the first to finish his task and took a step back to admire the wardrobe full of bags of different variations of weather balls.
"Our final count if 54," He called out as he shut the door and smiled "Should last us a while but we'll probably have to find a way to get more later," His counting done Spike made his way to Braeburn and looked at his newest robot design, it was a lot bigger than the first one had been and had far more buttons on its controller, it was almost done as all Braeburn needed to do was finish installing the link between the robot and the controller.
Their new robot was a lot sturdier than the first one and even had a tail, It's torso was shaped like a pentagon, with a flat bottom, and slanted sides that, once they reached the arms slanted back in a short way before reading the cockpit. Its chest jutted out in an edge and the tail started on the middle of its back. it had a midsection separating the top from the bottom that allowed the top to turn 360 degrees, The Legs were rather generic in design but were a lot less stiff than the original robot's had been, The Arms were a lot thicker than the first ones had been and the laser had been disabled on one hand and replaced with a system designed to shoot small plastic balls that would now be shooting weather balls. Spike waited patiently as, with a cheer, Braeburn snapped the casing to the arm on and moved to the controller, and made the robot move.
"Alright Spike your up," Braeburn declared as he picked up the Robot and placed it on a second table with a lot of paint and plastic pieces for decorations.
"Oh heck yeah I am," Spike said happily as he set to work painting the robot, he added a set of horns around the dome that was the cockpit and a few spikes to the end of the tail along with giving one of the shoulders a pad, by the time had finished attaching the new parts Cheerilee had finished her brew and poured it into more bottle for a total of 8 potions. She looked to her companions and found Spike decorating their new robot while Braeburn was already working on another model.
"Hey I have an idea," She called, both of them looked to her and pointed to themselves "Braeburn," She clarified and Spike went back to decorating while Braeburn moved the bot he had started working on and gave her the table to tell him what she wanted him to craft. Her idea was fairly simple, a tiny robot that was mostly cockpit, it had treads instead of feet and had large grappling hands, it's a simple design meant that its controller was also simple and it was done before Spike's addition to the other robot were even done setting into place, They set it in front of him and he gave it a once over before nodding and opening a drawer next to them with a few Red R stickers in it that Chrysalis had made for them, he got one and put it on the Robot's chest with a smile.
"And it's already done," he said happily "If this works we can make multiples in the event this one...explodes on its maiden voyage," Spike picked it up and Braeburn ran to grab a bottle.
"Let's do this outside," Cheerilee decided before they enlarged it "That way the boss doesn't have to teleport us out again," the trio head out the front door with Cheerilee locking it behind them, they placed the small bot on the ground and handed the potion bottle to Cheerilee who shook it for a moment before popping the top.
"Wait won't this make the grass huge?" Braeburn asked with concern.
"This doesn't do anything to organic matter, glass, or metal," Cheerilee replied "so the grass will be fine," She tipped the potion and dumped it over the tiny mech before turning on the spot, Spike and Braeburn did the same as the toy rapidly grew in size, once they were sure they were far enough away they watched as the toy turned into a glowing white light and grew in size, once it was done it was smaller than the original robot but still big enough for them all to fit in it. They opened the dome and climbed in. Cheerilee was given the controller and Spike was presented with a pair of gloves that moved the arms, the controller had a lever to go forward or backward, a wheel for steering, and two triggers to fire the hand's, Cheerilee moved the lever forward and they speed off far faster than any of them could actually run. Cheerilee looked out the window as they made their way to the road, they could see Applelossa in the distance but headed away from it and towards Ponyville, They made it to Ponyville in less than 40 minutes.
"Oh yeah!" Spike cheered, the arms moving with him "We own the roads!" they rode into Ponyville, ready to do their introduction, and proceeded to roll down the road unopposed.
"Hu," Braeburn said as he looked out the down and scratched his chin "I guess we are a lot more conspicuous now," They rolled on in silence for a moment before Spike spoke up.
"Anyone have some bits I kind of want a cold Drink," After a quick cheek, they all sighed.
"I left all my money back at base," Braeburn sighed.
"money was the main reason I wanted to be hired by Twilight," Cheerilee added with a sigh "being the only teacher in Ponyville for younger ponies doesn't pay well as it should,"
"And I'm broke," Spike groaned as the Robot slowed down and parked in front of Sugar Cube Corner. "I guess we could steal something," He said as he looked at the sweet shop.
"But what if Pinkie's inside?" Braeburn whispered "She'll have the town on us before we can even start driving away," The Trio sat in silence before Cheerilee hit her fist and declared.
"I got it, I left my purse under my desk at the schoolhouse, Lets just go grab it, I should have enough for us to at least get some water if nothing else," Their path laid out Cheerilee started the Robot and they made their way towards the schoolhouse, the town residents cleared out of their way as they drove past. Once the school came into sight they slowed to a crawl as they made their way up the path, they could see three little fillies looking at a note on the front door.
"I can't believe she's still gone," Scootaloo said as she read the note on the door. "She must be having a blast on her vacation,"
"Scootaloo she quit," Sweetie said as she pointed to the sign that said quite clearly that the school was closed till further notice due to the only teacher quitting. "She's not on vacation,"
"But her house is empty, and getting a little dusty," Scootaloo shot back "I'm sure she just forgot to tell anypony she left,"
"My Sister said she, cousin Braeburn, and Spike all became robot building super villains," the two crusaders looked at Applebloom then each other then back at her.
"What?" Scootaloo asked in confusion when the ground began shaking, they turned around and watched Team Rocket's Robot approach them, coming to a stop not too far from them. The Three Crusaders look at the robot in awe as the dome to the cockpit opened up and Team Rocket jumped out, Cheerilee looked down at her old students and smiled.
"Prepare for Trouble!" The Crusaders frowned at that as Braeburn joined it.
"And Make it double!"

"To unite all ponies within our nation!" Braeburn added while jumping out and mimicking Cheerilee's pose, Spike held up his hands and the Robot copied him
"To Denounce the Evils of Truth and Love," Cheerilee said changing to a new pose and adding a few stomps to it.
"To extend our reach to the stars above" Braeburn added as he pulled out a rose.
"Cheerilee!" She cried out changing position and showing the palm of her hands to the Crusaders.
"Braeburn!" He added as he threw the Rose up, Spike managed to catch it with the robot's hand.
"Team Rocket blast off at the speed of light!" Cheerilee stomped her left hoof into the ground and slide the other across it, string up a fair amount of dirt as she did so and holding up her right arm and placing the left behind her head.
"Surrender now, or prepare to fight!" Braeburn added mimicking her pose and causing dust to stir as well, their hooves touching each other as they did this.
"Yeah, that's right!" Spike cried as he jumped up and landed on their leg's the Robot mimicked him and struck the ground next to it stirring up a large cloud and leaving its hands imprinted in the ground. the rose fluttered down and landed on Braeburn's hat.
"That is so cool," Scootaloo muttered before turning to her friends "Why don't we have an entrance moto?"
"I never thought about it," Sweetie said with a shrug.
"Hi Cousin," Applebloom called to Braeburn "Are you really the reason I don't have any chores for like a month?"
"Well I did knock down half of the apple orchard," Braeburn replied as he removed the rose from his head. The Crusaders approached Team Rocket while Cheerilee made her way to the school and attempted to open the door.
"This is way cooler than being a Teacher," Scootaloo cried out to her as she pulled on the handle and found it locked "You're like a super Hero now!"
"Something like that," Cheerilee replied happily.
"What's this?" Sweetie asked as she poked the charm around Spike's neck.
"A good luck charm," He said happily, "I think it works pretty well, at the very least none of us have died form all the exploding,"
"If it makes you feel better I was really excited that you were gonna move in," Applebloom said as Braeburn backed away from the swinging arms of the Robot.
"I was gonna make you a toy robot and offer to give you the parts to make one if you found any foals who wanted to do it, Cutie mark or not, Mines in harvesting apples but I've never felt a rush quite like making Robots and weather changing orbs!"
"Hey guys," Cheerilee called getting their attention "The door is locked and I lost my key during one of our blast off's, can we just take down the entire wall,"
"Sure," Spike and Braeburn replied simply with a shrug that the robot mimicked, the CMC moved away and watched.
"Is she actually gonna destroy the school?" Scootaloo asked, "Because" Scootaloo stood up straight with a shine in her eye and her hand in a fist "if so I am in every way down with Robot Warrior Cheerilee!" They watched as the Robot put its hands up.
"Braeburn I can't aim and fire," Spike said, "Can you press the buttons?" Braeburn picked up the controller and pressed both triggers making both of the hands shot out and dug into the wall, Braeburn recalled the hands and they proceed to take the entire wall down as they returned. The cockpit opened and Cheerilee walked in through the rubble that had once been a wall. Braeburn's head popped out and he looked at the crusaders.
"You guys should probably scatter before we leave, you might get blamed for this,"
"Oh no, he's right!" Applebloom said in alarm "Crusaders RUN!" Applebloom and Sweetie high tailed it while Scootaloo just stood there in awe.
"This is so cool!" she managed to say before her friends came back and dragged her away from the crime scene. Spike and Braeburn smiled as the Crusaders ran for it, but they both jumped when they heard Cheerilee scream out.
"Who does she think she is!" They watched her angrily stomp back to the robot and climb in, a note crumbled in her hands that she handed to Braeburn, who read it aloud while Cheerilee shut the dome.
"Dear Cheerilee," Braeburn read "I see you left your purse at the schoolhouse, I have personally delivered it to the royal guard for safekeeping, all of the bits you had inside were taken to help for repairs you and Braeburn caused to the Apple orchard, furthermore your home and all property within has been actioned off to help pay for this as well, Have a good day and maybe learn your place in the future, From Princess Twilight," Braeburn looked at the letter, then back to Cheerilee who was sitting in her chair fuming, before he could say anything, his face was pushed by Spike who looked at the letter looking just as mad as Cheerilee.
"She didn't even mention me in passing!" He said angrily "She could have just said the damage Team Rocket caused but she went out of her way to not mention me!" Braeburn removed himself from Spike and looked at his Companions, both of them were seething with rage. He tapped his chin for a moment before pointing back towards Ponyville.
"You guys wanna go steal some paint and graphite her castle?" both of their eyes instantly snapped onto him.
"YES!"
Twilight sighed as she got off the train, she had spent most of the day in Manehattan helping Rarity with her newest lineup, She had asked for Spike but no one had actually told her about the Team Rocket thing yet and Twilight didn't want to be the one to tell her that Spike had turned evil for little reason past attention. As she walked onto the train platform she could see her castle and she instantly froze in place, Hundreds of Team Rocket R's had been painted all around the base of it, She lit her horn and teleported to it. The small robot that housed Team Rocket was in front of the Door, they were using the Robot to finishing up the Larges R above the door.
"I think this one looks pretty nice," Spike said as he pulled the paint covered hands of the Robot back in and they looked at the R.
"Oh, I have an Idea! Let's pain the Window!" Braeburn declared his idea happily.
"Oh, that's a great idea!" Cheerilee agreed, before they could move Twilight lit her horn and enveloped the Robot and lifted it up, Team Rocket blinked in a moment of Confusion before realizing they where being picked up by Twilight
"Oh hey we get to do our Motto again," Braeburn managed to say before Twilight turned the robot upward and threw them into the event horizon. "What just happened?" Braeburn Cried out.
"I think we just got removed from the premise," Spike replied
"But our Motto," Braeburn whined.
"Well we'll be back," Cheerilee said angrily "But until then,"
"It looks like Team Rocket's blasting off again!" the trio all cried out as they flew away. As they began gaining more and more height they looked around.
"I wonder if this will hurt more or less than usual," Cheerilee pondered as they watched the world fly by, they could see the mountain approaching and were passing by the top of it when they saw Chrysalis, who looked to have just woken up as she was sitting in front of the cave with what seemed to be her breakfast, enjoying the air while she ate.
"Hi Boss," They called to her, She looked at the robot and yawned,
"Hi," She muttered as she was about to take a bite of her food before blinking and looking over to see the Robot fly away, she lit her horn and in a flash, the Robot lay in front of her, and Team Rocket blinked before popping open the dome and standing in salute.
"Hi Boss," They Repeated as she looked at them in silence.
"I must have overslept," She said with a yawn as she waved their salutes away and packed up her half-finished breakfast "You lot don't usually blow up till noon,"
"This Robot got us to Ponyville like 20 minutes faster," Braeburn said happily before adding, "That said the Second Twilight saw us she just kind of yeeted us away," he sighed
"We graffitied the heck out of her Castle though," Cheerilee said happily "So many Team Rocket R's,"
"That explains your Robot's red hands," Chrysalis said "Well I'm glad you're here, come inside I think It's time for your first official assignment," The Three happily jumped out of the Robot and Followed Chrysalis into her cave.

I always end up making Twilight an ass in my stories, which is weird cause I really like her in the show.
Team Rocket's First Mission
The Capital city of Canterlot was full of its daily hustle and bustle, the noise of ponies who called it home, and the ponies who were simply tourists filled the city, sitting at a table outside an unassuming restaurant sat Team rocket.
The team was having a nice chat about who was and wasn't their enemy.
"...I mean, I get that she got us struck by Lightning, but I'm not sure Rainbow knew what the Weather ball did," Cheerilee said as she took a bite out of her Burrito with the aid of a fork.
"But she still sided with Twilight," Spike pointed out as he ate from the cheap Kiddie meal he had ordered.
"I think we mark her and an alley to our enemy but I don't think she's actively an enemy unless she's with Twilight,"
"Alright," Spike said, he ate one of his fries, and upon swallowing it looked to the two, "now what about Applejack?" Cheerilee looked to Braeburn who was now looking at a very interesting cloud.
"let's put her down as a maybe," Spike decided as he took another bite of his kiddie meal before they could continue the charm around Spike's neck began glowing and flickering and the trio all heard Chrysalises voice in their head.
"Don't reply to what I'm about to say if you're in a public place,"
"We're at a table talking to each other with no one listening in," Braeburn replied before taking a sip of his soda.
"Good, your mission is simple, I want you to get me a special gemstone, Direction will be relayed vial the communication charm. Braeburn and Cheerilee looked at the charm and looked at the small map, after drawing it and the gem's name on a napkin the charm went back to normal. The Trio quickly paid for their meal and headed off to do their mission.
"This is gonna be the easiest mission ever," Braeburn cheered "Not Twilight, no way we explode," The Three ran into trouble immediately after Braeburn's Cheer.
"Spike?" The Trio stopped at the voice and turned to find Rarity with multiple bags hovering around her "What a lovely surprise, what are you doing here with Braeburn and Cheerilee," Rarity gave them all a look over "Love the matching outfits, Braeburn I heard you were maybe moving into town..."
"I was rejected," Braeburn said with a shrug.
"Oh my," Rarity looked to Cheerilee and she also shrugged.
"I quit my job cause Twilight refused to let my school fuse into hers,"
"And I quit," Spike said with a shrug.
"You what!?" Rarity asked in shock "oh Spikey-wikey are you gonna be ok?"
"Oh it's fine, we all met up...coincidentally, and...started our own business headed by...um..."
"A mysterious Benefactor," Cheerilee cut in "And while it is ever so nice to see you, we're currently on a work order for a specific gem,"
"Oh a gem, I know a thing or two about gems, what kind of gem is it?" Spike and Cheerilee both looked to Braeburn who looked back.
"The Napkin," Spike said dully.
"Oh yeah," Braeburn looked at his crud map, "A Heart-shaped Clear Ruby gemstone with an upside-down Golden heart core,"
"Oh, my," Rarity said with a smile "I know that gem, it's on display at the shop across the way from my local Boutique, why don't you three come with me, I'd be happy to purchase it for you, as a thank you and good luck to my dear Spikey-Wikey," Rarity pinched Spike's cheeks and he turned red and gave a nervous chuckle.
"We'd be happy to accept your generous offer," Braeburn said happily.
Team Rocket sat in awkward silence in the back room of Rarity's Boutique. A tray of fresh drinks and a few snacks had been set out for them.
"This is weird," Cheerilee decided, earning a sigh of relief.
"Final one of you said it," Braeburn groaned "this is so weird, were waiting for Rarity to buy us some gem, so we can use it for evil,"
"Maybe we won't use it for evil," Spike said, trying to lighten the mood "maybe we need it to hide better, your barn won't be safe for long if we keep leaving giant robot footprints and treed tracks all over the place leading right to it," The Trio quietly talked amongst themselves about what the gem might be used for, they were interrupted when Chrysalis spoke through Spike's charm.
"Progress report,"
"We talked Rarity into buying the gem for us,"
"Oh nicely done," Chrysalis chuckled "once you get it just get outside of Canterlot and I'll teleport you back to home base," Spike and Cheerilee nodded silently before Braeburn spoke up.
"Why not teleport us back once we have the gem?" He questioned.
"Because if my Magic is sensed in Canterlot the Princesses will hunt me down and beat me into the dirt," Chrysalis replied curtly "And I don't wanna find a new home, the Everfree forest was too drafty, and that Zebra kept harassing me with rhymes," Chrysalis signed off and the Trio continued their short wait for Rarity, who Returned with their prize in a small red Box, She gave it to Spike who took it gingerly.
"Here you go Spikey-Wikey, It's a very nice centerpiece I must admit, what are you using it for?" Spike, Cheerilee, and Braeburn all looked at the box, then back to Rarity.
"We dunno," The replied simply.
"Boss didn't say," Braeburn added. Cheerilee and Spike hurridly hushed him and Rarity cocked her ears.
"Oh, sounds like your mysterious Benefactor is more in charge of your operation,"
"We Picked the name," Spike replied confidently.
"She did make the clothes though," Cheerilee added.
"And stopped us from exploding that one time," Braeburn added helpfully, Rarity stared at them in silence as Spike leaped up with great speed and together with Cheerilee smacked Braeburn over the head. "Ow"
"We don't need to tell people about the exploding part of the job," Cheerilee said irritably as Spike turned back to Rarity.
"Sorry Rarity but we're on a bit of a schedule and-" Rarity got on her knees and made Spike look her in the eyes, they were very serious.
"Explain," She said simply.
"Twilight has blown us up multiple times," Spike said instantly.
"Except that one time Rainbow blew us up, and that one-time Twilight just kind of through us over a mountain, I think we've blown up every time," Braeburn corrected, earning another smack from Cheerilee and Spike, who turned to him angrily.
"Shut up," They said, they turned back to Rarity and watched as she closed the door to the waiting room and locked it.
"Oh no," Spike said, "Rarity, please don't tell Twilight where we are, I don't wanna get blown up again if I can avoid it," Rarity didn't say anything and after a moment they heard her leave.
"She is so going to Twilight to demand answers," Spike cried out "We have like 10 minutes before they come back and Rarity helps her blow us up,"
"Braeburn," Cheerilee said angrily "Fix this!"
"Why me?" he demanded.
"Because your big mouth caused this!" Spike snapped back. Braeburn stood his ground and then took a deep breath.
"Boss Help!" He cried out "We're gonna get blown up again!" Spike and Cheerilee looked at him when Spike's charm came to life.
"What happened?" She asked exasperated.
"Braeburns big mouth got us locked in Rarity's waiting room as she goes to ask Twilight for answers," Cheerilee replied, "Spike says with Rarity's maximum Spell range she and Twilight will be back in like 10 minutes!"
"Well Rarity can't teleport, but she knows a guy, he lives like 9 minutes away though, but yes, we are so screwed!"
"Spike your a dragon," Chrysalis replied simply "just melt the lock or the door," Chrysalis signed off and Spike sighed.
"Braeburn if Rarity hates me for this I will blame you forever," He snapped before going to the door and blowing fire at the lock, in less than a minute the door was busted, and after a second-minute and deciding they didn't want to make it too easy for Rarity to hate them, they left their Bag of Bits by the door so she could pay for the lock, then booked it with their prize.
"So long as we run, we should make it to the Balloon just before Twilight arrives," Spike said as they rushed to the dock they had left their Balloon at, They made it with no opposition and jumped in, untying the Roaps from the inside. They could hear approaching Hoof steps as they untied the last rope al hide from view as they began floating away.
"Yes," Braeburn as they began floating away, only for the Balloon to come to a sharp stop and cause the trio to fall over. "Ow!" Braeburn complained as he got up and looked towards the doc and frowned.
"Is it Twilight?" Cheerilee asked.
"No?" Braeburn asked as the Mare holding them spoke up.
"Spike," Spike immediately started sweating as curled up a little.
"Who is that?" Cheerilee asked as she looked over to see a mare that looked similar to Twilight but her coloring was different.
"My Mother," Spike replied as Twilight Velvet tapped her hoof. Cheerilee and Braeburn looked at Twilight velvet and then slid down out of sight.
"Your Mom looks Really mad," Cheerilee noted, meanwhile Braeburn had gone a different path.
"Twilights your sister?" he demanded "and she still blew you and yeeted us into the horizon!?"
"Spike," Velvet repeated as Rarity joined her on the dock.
"You told my mother?" Spike demanded as he finally popped into view, he looked at Rarity and failed to stay mad "Thanks for not telling Twilight, she would have just popped the Balloon,"
"And that is why I am here," Velvet said, a vein throbbing in her head "What is going on with you and your sister, I want answers, I want you to come down here and explain, Spike looked at his mother as Cheerilee and Braeburn joined him in looking at the two holdings them in place.
"Show of Hands," Spike said "No hand we explain, Hands up we blow ourselves up to avoid all of this,"
"Spike-" Rarity attempted when Team Rocket all raised their hands.
"Braeburn self-destruct," Spike declared.
"Self Destruct?" Braeburn asked.
"Self Destruct," Cheerilee confirmed, and with that Braeburn pulled a sharp rock out of his pocket and chucked it at the Balloon, it hit the side and punctured it, and with that, the Balloon shot away with such force it broke Twilight Velvet's hold on it and both she and Rarity watched in disbelief as the Balloon rocketed upwards.
"This maybe wasn't such a good idea," Spike noted as they went shot upwards.
"Better than talking to your angry mom," Cheerilee countered as she used one hand to hold onto the Dragon and another to hold on for dear life.
"I dunno what I'd do with Applejack in that Situation," Braeburn added as he did the same as Cheerilee "But I do know what thing-"
"It looks like Team Rocker's Blasting off Again!"
Rarity and Twilight Velvet watched as the Balloon disappeared from view as it rocketed away.
"Rarity?" Twilight Velvet asked as she looked at the spot where her son had disappeared into the horizon "Would you please company me as I ask my Daughter why my youngest Child is no longer in her care?"
"Very much so yes," Rarity replied with a notable eye twinge.
The shattered twigs of a basket floated to the shore of a lake as Chrysalis Teleported to the landing zone, sweating slightly.
"I look away for 12 minutes and there on the opposite side of the country," She said as she looked for her team, after a moment she spotted Cheerilee hanging in a daze in the branches of a nearby Tree.
After pulling her Down Cheerilee sat up, her eyes swirling, and declared proudly. That was the worst one yet," before falling back to the ground trying to lay away from the pain of impact, she then found Braeburn floating in the water and reeled him in, she pushed on his chest and he spat up some water.
"I'm alive," he said weakly before flopping on the ground. After a moment of not finding Spike, she was about to go into the water when he weakly cried out.
"Ow," And she quickly located him in a rose bush and lay him next to his comrades after Dethorning them.
"You three are going to kill yourselves at some point," Braeburn was the only one to respond by offering her his hat, inside of it was the box containing the gem she had asked for. "Good job though," She added as she picked them up and teleported them home with her.
Twilight was busy with her friends as she tried to scrub off the last of the Team Rocket R's on her Castle when Twilight Velvet angrily cleared her throat.
"Mom?" Twilight asked in shock. "Rarity?"
"Hi Honey," Velvet said staring her daughter down "How's your little brother doing?" Twilight and Velvet looked at each other for a moment when Twilight lit her horn and teleported away and Velvet looked to her friends, who all froze as Rarity walked up.
"Pinkie you drew short straw," Rainbow called "You have to explain to Rarity!"

I had the ability to update any story... obviously I chose this one cause every one loves it
Team Rocket Blasting off.
Twilight looked at the mess and tried for the life of her to figure out how any of what was happening had happened. Spike, Cheerilee, and Braeburn were all floating in air balloons, they had been dropping heavy thing's over the side, but now the three of them were all angrily yelling at each other for stealing their idea.
"I was up here first!" Spike called over to the other two.
"No, I was up here first!" Braeburn yelled back.
"I was here 30 second's before you two even rose up!" Cheerilee interjected.
"I'm gonna destroy this town!" They all yelled as their ballons soft knocked against one another, they had done nothing but yell for almost a full hour.
"This looked like it was gonna be a problem. But now it's just sad" Rainbow shook her head "Honesty should we leave them?"
"We can't just let them stay up there," Applejack shot Back "I'm sure we can just talk them down,"
"Spike's pissed about being miss-treated, Braeburn is pissed about being kick out of Appolosa and not being welcome here with open arms" Twilight listed off, using the words the three had yelled at them when it had all started.
"Why'd he get kicked out?" Pinkie asked.
"He was trying to be an inventor, and ended up destroying over half the town," AJ said "And I said I wouldn't let him live with us unless he stopped and waited till he had the money to take classes,"
"And Cheerilee is pissed about being denied from my school multiple times," Twilight finished
"Why'd you deny her Twit?" Pinkie asked.
"She's the only teacher the town has, I told her she needs to stay where she is and do what she's good at, teaching ponies who aren't ready for my school."
"Why not expand your school?"
"I'm not dealing with little kids" Twilight shot back "That's her problem"
"We can hear you!" The Trio shouted down, the mane 6 ignored them and continued talking about how stupid this whole thing was.
"Let say we join forces?" Cheerilee asked
"We'd get three times the work done" Braeburn agreed
"In that case let me just..."Spike leaned over and tied his balloon to Cheerilee's, jumped into her balloon and tied Braeburn's to it, and helped him into the middle Balloon. "Ok, now we need a cool team name!" The Three sat on this for a second when Twilight noticed they had combined their efforts
"That's it, I'm popping they're balloons," Twilight said angrily as she lit of her horn and blasted a hole in the middle balloon
"uh, oh," The trio said looking up for a second, instead of popping as Twilight had hoped, air blasted out of the hole and set the trio and all their balloons blasting off.
"Where Rocketing off!!" Cheerilee yelled.
"Hey! Rocket!" Braeburn said "That sounds good"
"Then on three!" Spike said, "one, Two..."
"TEAM ROCKET'S BLASTING OFF!!" They screamed in unison as they shot into the sky and out of sight.
"Great, hope your happy Twilight, you helped them come up with a cool name for themselves" Rainbow shook her head
"Whatever, we need to find a new teacher for Ponyville's younger generation, and I need to find a new assistant."
Meanwhile
"How long is this gonna last!" Cheerilee yelled as the trio continued to fly through the Sky
"Not for long!" Braeburn replied
"Here comes a Mountain" Spike yelled out, a second later a Mushroom cloud of dust sprang up as the three spinning ballon's slammed into the Side of the Mountain. Spike ended up with his head stuck in a tree, Cheerilee was under an overturned basket, and Braeburn was laying in the branches of a tree. While Spike tried to pull his head out of the Tree, Braeburn rolled out of his tree and hit the ground
"Ow," he muttered as he got up "That was worse than I thought it was gonna be" He muttered as he dizzily got up and made his way over to the basket, helping Cheerilee out from under it. Cheerilee got shakily to her knee's as Braeburn fell to the ground with swirl's in his eye's, Cheerilee walked over to Spike and with a mighty pull managed to unstick him, the two walked over to Braeburn and collapsed with him
"Let's make sure that doesn't ever happen again," they said in unison as they looked into the sky, after a moment of rest Spike reached into a small satchel he had on him and pulled out a pen and paper
"Ok, so are we going for Rocket, or Team Rocket?" He asked
"Team Rocket sound's better" Cheerilee muttered
"Noted" Spike said writing it down
"We should get a Rocket shaped balloon" Bradburn added
"Noted" Spike said again
"And we need a motto!" Cheerilee chimed in
"Noted" Spike once again said
"Are you gonna add anything?" They asked him
"I think we should rebuild our balloons and find a base," Spike said, adding it to the to-do list, as they spitballed ideas Spike suddenly lit up
"I Now a place close to ponyville where they'll never find us!!"
"Where!?" The other two demanded. Spike stood up and pointed straight up, "The top of this mountain!" He declared "at the end of the path is a huge cave!!" Spike and Cheerilee got up and the two helped up Braeburn, and they began salvaging what they could from the wreckage.
Spike picked up what little remained of the three ballons "A few holes here and there, but I should be able to patch em!" Spike said as Cheerilee looked through the baskets.
"This basket is still usable, a little reinforcing here and there and it should be good."
"I Found my snacks" Braeburn added, picking up a Burlap sack full of apples and juice "I didn't know how long I'd be up there and just wanted to be ready." Cheerilee nodded
"Ok we got transport and Food," Cheerilee said, "throw that and anything else that looks salvageable into the basket and help me carry it.
After three long hours of pushing, pulling, and slight fighting they managed to get the basket to the Cave.
"Oh, man" Cheerilee panted "That took forever" as she gasped for air Spike walked to the cave.
"Look's like a nice place to hideout." He said,
"I have to agree" A fourth voice chimed in "It is a nice place to hide out," Queen Chrysalis said, walking out of the cave and towering over Spike. Spike tried to back away, but only managed to trip over, Cheerilee and Braeburn grabbed his tail and dragged him back. Meanwhile, Queen Chrysalis looked at them in amusement
"Really?" She asked, pointing to Ponyville "You three couldn't come up with a better plan than dropping thing's on the town from above?"
"To be fair we all did it with no knowledge of the other's doing it," Braeburn said, hiding behind the basket
"Wait, you three did that, the exact same thing, completely independent from each other, at the exact same time?" Team Rocket looked at one another then back to Chrysalis.
"Yes," They all said, Chrysalis shook her head and lifted their basket into the cave.
"You're all now my minion's, get in here and entertain me," She said, the Team looked at each other and entered, she looked back at them "You three have a name?" They all held up their arms and yelled
"We are Team Rocket!" They declared, Chrysalis laughed
"Sound's about right." she said as they followed her "This'll be fun"
