Twilight looked at the lock spell on her school. Barely open for a week and now it was closed forever. Well, not forever, just until the demolition crew came and tore it down. The Princess of Friendship held her head low as she began to slowly trot back to her castle.
“Oh Twilight,” She looked up. Standing before her was Princess Celestia herself, her eyes saddened at the sight of her heartbroken student. “I am so sorry.”
“I-I just wanted to spread friendship to everyone. I didn’t know- “
“I know Twilight.” She embraced her former student in a brief but comforting hug. When it was broken the eldest princess spoke with a more business-like manner. “But now is not the time to focus on the past, I have an urgent mission for you and your friends.”

A half hour later, the bearers of the Elements of Harmony, Starlight Glimmer, and Spike the dragon were all gathered in the throne/map room of Twilight’s castle with Princesses Celestia and Luna.
“Thank you all for coming so promptly.” Said the navy colored alicorn, “We know you are still upset about the recent closing of your school, but an important matter has come to our attention.”
Celestia picked up the explanation here. “This morning, we received an unusual letter from an unknown source.” She then produced the letter from… somewhere and gave it to Twilight to read aloud.
“To the rulers of Equestria,
It has come to our attention that your world and ours are beginning to merge. Several tears have opened between worlds, letting creatures and people cross-over between them. If this phenomenon continues, and we believe it will, mass panic will spread.
Fortunately, we have devised a means of easing the mergance. A joint schooling between all participants as a form of first responder for multi-world emergencies. World Champions Academia. We would like for you to participate as Teachers, and feel free to employ anyone you wish as a student. Anywhere between fifteen and twenty-five students would be sufficient.
A currier will arrive within a few days of you receiving this letter. Please inform him of your response and any questions you may have.
Professor Nezu
Principle of UA and World Champions Academia
There was a long period of silence after Twilight finished reading the unusual letter. “Let me get this straight:” Rainbow said, “Equestria and some other world are combining, and they want to start a school?”
“It sounds more like they are making their own Wonderbolts Academy.” Rarity said, “A place to train ponies to deal with this, mergence.”
“Are you two going to become teachers there?” Fluttershy asked.
Celestia shook her head. “Though I would very much like to teach again, our duties mediate that we remain here. Yourselves however…”
“With all due respect your highness.” Twilight hung her head somewhere between a bow and dejectedness, “We just messed up one school, I don’t think it would be wise for us to teach at another.” Her friends looked at one another and silently agreed.
“Which is why I was hoping you would attend as students.”
Silence once again fell over the gathered ponies. “That.” Pinkie started “Sound like, so much fun! We get to meet ponies from a whole other world. And we get to really become their friends because we’ll be students just like them. Gasp! We might have a different calendar than they do. We might go a whole year without celebrating someone’s birthday. Gasp! Or celebrate someone’s birthday TWICE in one year! Oh, I can’t wait to go!”
“I guess Pinkie is in.” Applejack chuckled, “It’s been a few years since I did any major studying. And we just brought in the harvest for this year, so the farm won’t need me for a while. I guess I’m in too.”
Rarity thought for a bit, “I suppose my boutiques can go without me for a few months. I too shall attend this school.”
Celestia smiled slightly, “Twilight? I know you are always eager to learn more.”
The younger princess just kept her head low, “I- I need to think about it.”
“Me too,” Fluttershy added.
“Well I’m in.” Starlight spoke up, “I’m curious what this other world is like. Spike? You gonna join us?”
“Me?” The baby dragon seemed surprised, “I- I don’t think I’m quite old enough.”
“I’ll be sure to ask the currier when he arrives if there is an age range,” Celestia reassured the young fire breather, “but the letter did say to employ anyone we wished.”
All eyes were on Rainbow Dash now, “Hey, I’d to go, but I’ll have to get permission from Spitfire first.”
“Fair enough. In that case will prepare a response for this Professor Nezu, letting him know that we accept.”
“In the mean-time,” Luna added, “We would like you to find another pony who would like to attend this school. We still need at least ten others to qualify for acceptance.”
“You can count on us your Highness.”

Not a few minutes later, and Pinkie Pie was a quarter mile underground talking to her sister.
“…and the Princesses asked us to each find another pony who wanted to attend the school. Sooooooo, you want in?”
Maud Pie looked at her sister for a few seconds, “Well, I was planning to attend this convention on petrified sticks, but sure.”
“Yes! This is going to be, amazing!”

“A most curious tale indeed, Miss Applejack.” The farmpony held a bucking-bag steady at it was repeatedly kicked, “Though I must ask,” The maroon unicorn, Tempest Shadow, looked at her, “Why did you ask me?”
“After the Storm King, and Seaquestria and the Changeling Hive; I realized just how many creatures in the world aren’t ponies. And I realized just how, arrogant we ponies can be.” Tempest kept kicking. “We don’t really know what lives in that other world. They could be griffons, or rabbit ponies, or who knows what. And since you spent almost your whole life living with those…”
“Yetis.”
“Yetis. Then you would be somepony who knew how to get past the physical. Plus, you’re one of the best fighters I know.”
Tempest stopped her exercise, “Your logic is sound, and quite wise for someone so young.” She shook hooves with the orange country gal. “If you will have me, then I will join you.”

A world away from this, four individuals never before seen in Equestria watched the construction of their new school.
“I’m sure the Ren’s would be glad to see this city finally put to use.” Said the one in overalls.
“You are sure these, Grimm, won’t be a problem?” asked the long-haired one.
“After my niece and her friends killed that mega-Grimm, it’s territory is open for any others to claim. But because it was so big, it will take a while before any of them realize it’s dead.” Answered the one in the cape.
“We will make sure to install the proper defenses, from all our worlds.” Added the short one. “Speaking of, what of our two partners?”
“We’ve received confirmation from the other Earth. They are in, though they can only send fourteen students.”
“Oh well, what about the wild card? Equestria?”
“I was just about to leave for them.” The one in the cape jumped into the air. A large black bird flew away from the town, towards a purplish blue tear in the fabric of reality that would take him to the land of ponies.
