Prologue: Quick Writer
My name is Quick Writer, I'm a citizen of Maretropolis and around the age of 26. I work for the Maretropolis Gazette as reporter mainly focusing on big and small events that define the events of the city. Most people working here just write news on the power ponies and some people are getting somewhat tired of that being the only news. And because I talk about news other than the super heroes of this city I've become quite popular!
My family originally lived in the countryside but decided to move here after we sold our farm, and I rather like it here!
But a lot has happened since then.
Fourteen years ago
Class is so booooring today.
"Quill can you explain to the class the anatomy of the human race?" Asked Mrs.Redwing with a emotionless voice and face.
Oh yeah, while my name is Quick Writer most of the people I know actually call me Quill! The reason why is because I always liked to take notes and even got my cutie mark in writing!
"There are three races of humans, Pegasus' have wings, Unicorns have horns and can use magic, and Earthponies strength is doubled. I myself am a earthpony thus I have their characteristics, when someone earns a cutie mark two symbols appear just above your wrists on the top of your hands." I explained thoroughly.
We moved to Maretropolis just 5 days ago, my mom had taught me almost everything I know. At first I thought I wouldn't fit in at all but the people here are surprisingly nice!
Just then the school bell rang signaling all students that school is over.
"Alright kids remember to study for the quiz tomorrow an-."
I didn't let her finish after I just ran out of the classroom. Learning is important of course, but that doesn't mean I have to enjoy it. Walking through the halls I look around I see classrooms and my friends talking and walking around.
"Hey Quill!" Asked a cheery voice.
"Hey Luxi! How are you doing?" I asked happily. Luxurious Locks is a earthpony girl who lived in Maretropolis all her life. At first I was pretty shy around her but we actually had a lot in common and became fast best friends.
In truth I think I've got a crush on her.
"All good here just heading on home same as you." She responded calmly offering a kind smile.
We continued our regular small talk routine and went home together, my apartment and her house are built almost right next to each other so we often visit each other just play video games, have fun, or just talk. Things are going pretty well for me so far and I wouldn't change a thing about it if I could.
"Are you going to do anything today?" Asked Luxi curiously.
"My parents and I are going to watch a movie downtown today so I'll be pretty busy with that and homework combined." I answered truthfully.
We soon found ourselves near the street of our homes.
"Alright see you tomorrow Quill!" Waved Luxi walking towards the path to her house.
After saying our goodbyes I walked up the stairs to my apartment and started to think to myself. Recently crime rates have been lowered to a minuscule amount and not many know why. The police have been working hard sure, but rumors have been going around that there were super heroes out there taking them down.
Haha! As if that would happen.
Eventually I made it to apartment room 426, my family's place. Entering the room I close and lock the door behind me. Looking at my home I take a deep breath admiring the feeling.
"Home sweet home!" I said enthusiastically breathing in the familiar smells.
"Welcome back Quill! How was your day at school?" My mom asked with a kind smile.
"It was fine mom! Are we going to the movies today?" I asked with a hopeful face relishing in the fact that we're finally going out.
My dad works at the Maretropolis Power Plant and he often works overtime because of how much he has to get done. Sometimes I question why there's so much work to do there.
"Of course we are sweetie! Why wouldn't we want to be with our little angel?" She asked giving we a warm hug.
"Ah hey there slugger how are you?" Asked my father with a caring voice.
My fathers name is Hard worker and my mothers name is Swift Writer. Yeah, my parents haven't gotten married just yet, but they still seem so happy together and I can never ask for anyone else to take care of me. I love them and they love me so much, so I responded in the same voice he asked with.
"I'm fine dad! But can you help me with my homework its a little hard." I asked with doe like eyes.
"Sure, I'll help you with it." He said with a soft smile.
After some time of torturous work for school we eventually finished working and it was approaching nightfall. It signaled that it was time to get ready for going to the theater to watch the movie. It was a super hero movie about this team that fought against aliens and their leader that used a scepter that could mind control his victims. I think the movie was called The Aven-
"Alright, ready to get going Quill?" My father asked peeking his head into my room.
"I'm ready dad!" I exclaimed putting on my best cloths for the family outing.
The movie was amazing! I believe others had enjoyed the movie as much as I did, we were planning to go get some ice cream too as soon as we left the theater. We thanked the employees and exited the building. It truly felt like nothing could go wrong.
If only that were the case.
We decided to take a shortcut through an alleyway to get to the ice cream parlor just a little bit quicker. That was the worst idea imaginable.
"What do we have here?"
As soon as we heard that deep distorted voice we looked around but couldn't find the source.
"Who's there?!" Asked my father with a brave but slightly fearful face. I could tell that my mother felt the same way, and I did too.
"I'm not that well known am I? Well, not just yet. You may refer to me as The Smudge" He said with a dark chuckle adding a sinister edge to his voice.
Then suddenly we looked ahead of us, and we saw him. A large humanoid pitch black creature with red eyes and a red outline to him. I was terrified by now and I considered running, but I was too scared to move. My father then whispered to me, "Quill when I give the signal you ran as fast as you can you understand me?" My dad said with a worried expression.
"But what about you?" I said with a terrified voice worried for my parents lives.
My mom then looked at me and whispered, "Quill, you have made us the happiest parents in the world, and we just want you to live the best you can okay?" My mother said smile. But I could easily see that even with that happy expression she was willing to die. I truly wished that wasn't the case.
"Oh, how noble! Go ahead child, run as fast as you can." He said with a demonic smile looking directly at me.
Looking at my parents one... last time. I turned around and ran away as quickly as possible. Not looking back once, likely because of fear and adrenaline.

"What am I doing?!" I asked with panic.
I turned around as fast as possible and ran back to the alleyway my parents and the Smudge were. When I got back I saw the smudge, but I saw something else I never thought was possible. There was this woman, she looked like she was just 17! That's not what shocked me though, she was wearing a red suit and black mask while using a lasso that was glowing a golden color to fight that thing! What is going on?
The smudge quickly shot multiple tendrils of biomass at this strange earthpony girl, but she quickly dived out of the way and retaliated with a toss of her lasso wrapping it around the Smudge. He quickly slipped out of it and escaped in the opposite direction. She seemed to curse at herself, that's when she turned around and saw me. Her eyes then darted to something on the ground. following her eyes I looked where she was looking. I wish I didn't, I saw my parents, bleeding and broken on the ground. I think she ran away after that but I didn't care, how could I? I couldn't think of anything else but my parents corpses.
My face then contorted in despair, and I cried out in the night.
The alleyway was covered in police tape in the next hour. Police were surveying the crime scene, taking pictures, and detectives talking to other officers. Some of them tried to talk to me, but I couldn't bring myself to respond to their questions. I just … couldn't.
"... Quill." Asked a tender and sorrowful voice.
Looking in front of me I saw the father of Luxi, his name is fabulous locks. He was a nice man, worked at the same place my … father worked, they were pretty good friends. Tears then burst out of my eyes and I rushed into his arms. He drove me back to his house and when we got there I saw Luxi standing outside. Running out of the car I ran to her with tears in my eyes. She was crying too when I reached her, and through the night we both sobbed nonstop.
Since then Fabulous has been doing his best to be my new father, and appreciate him so much. I saw him as a father and he saw me as a son. Me and Luxi have been getting much closer since then, throughout my pain I could barely talk to anyone, but she was always there for me. She's the best friend someone could ever have. Overtime I realized something, I loved her. I truly did, I could never seem to find the courage to ask her out on date though. I started to have the strength to talk to people again, I still felt hurt but at least I was able to live the best I can. Like my mom asked me before...

Never mind.
We went through junior high, high school, and soon enough we attending college. That's when I knew I had to tell her, and that's what I did! And she said yes! For the first time since my parents deaths I felt happy, I felt whole.
We did so much together, we went on dates, vacations, and it was all so amazing. I even got to see her try and ice skate and I have to say she really could do better. She slipped so many times and I was always there to catch her. We made a promise to try and always be together. We made the promise under a tree beneath the setting sun in the park near the university we were going to.
"Luxurious Locks you have been the best thing to ever happen to me, and I just wish that we will never abandon each other, and so I promise that I will never abandon you for the rest of my life." I said with a blissful smile.
"Quick Writer, I know you have been hurt badly, and I swear on my life that I will always be here for you if you are here for me." She promised with a loving expression.
"I love you!"
At that we kissed under the light of the setting sun.
I truly believed I could live happily, but I guess it didn't happen in the end.
After college I got a job as a reporter in the Maretropolis Gazette and Luxi became a CEO of her beauty company. Some of her employees said that she can be power mad but I didn't really care. One day she disappeared and no one knew how. It felt hard to talk to anyone since then, I still had friends but I felt broken without her. The one thing I wish I could have was a chance, a chance to say goodbye to her.

Chapter 1: The heroes of the city
Goldwing Street, Maretropolis
I could already see the headlines tomorrow, "Heroes of the city defeat crazed Mane-iac!" Just 3 days ago the villains of Maretropolis had formed an alliance.
Long face, a megalomaniacal terrorist who's skilled in toxin and poisons that empower the sadness and depression someone has.
High Heel, she was originally the owner of the shoe company, but was eventually sent to Arkhoof Asylum for attempted murder. Equipped with advanced weaponry and a clever mind she had climbed to the top of the wanted list among the others.
Pharaoh Phetlock, he's a scientist that eventually discovered how to create lifelike automatons that look a lot like mummies. He decided to take on a pharaoh like look and started to become a villain. Everyone calls him the Phony Pharaoh but he seems to Really hate that name.
Shadowmane, he's said to be the greatest thief in all of maretropolis. Not much is known about him but some say that he was trained by some kind of underground thieves guild.

The smudge, he's a living blob of biomass he was originally working at a biotech lab to cure multiple diseases. But eventually there was an accident at a lab changing him both physically and mentally. He had committed multiple murders when he first transformed. One of those murders were my parents, and I've been trying to find and take him down for years. But the Power ponies took him down before me, I don't really mind, but I guess I just wanted to stop him myself.
And finally the Mane-iac, she's the number one arch enemy of the Power Ponies who has the power to control her mane at will. No one knows how she has that power and when the police tried to find out her identity all kinds of DNA tests seemed to reveal nothing. It was almost like her body had just dropped who she originally was completely!
"All we needed to defeat them was to work together and show that through true teamwork and friendship we could win against any foe!" Said Masked Matterhorn wearing a proud stance.
"It was actually Humdrum who once again taught us that." Said Ms. Mare-velous smiling at the boy wearing a cape and mask. Who seems to be grinning ear to ear like he was the top of the world.
I have the news writer eyes, I can see what other people don't want you to see. I've been doing it for years and I think that I'm pretty good at it.
"Quill I've got something for you, I just got a call from Arkhoof Asylum and was told that apparently Shadowmane had escaped!" Said my boss with a serious voice.
Looking around one by one every reporter was taking their phone out and I could tell that they were getting the same message I did. Hanging up I decided to confront this issue with the Power ponies.
Clearing my throat, "Power ponies we just got news that the thief of Maretropolis, that Shadowmane has just escaped the Asylum. Are you planning to deal with this issue?" I asked holding a notebook in my hands.
"If he escaped then we will do everything in our power to stop him!" Said Radiance with a elegant and posh voice.
"That will be all thank you!" Said Fili-second running out of the scene.
With every single reporter asking with shouts each of the power ponies left in their own signature way. The usual reporter to Super hero reaction. At least I got to ask the question before anyone else! But honestly I never truly trusted super heroes, the main reason is because Ms.Mare-velous, the oh so loved hero! Failed to save my parents, so I don't trust a team with super powers and capes. Can you blame me?
Walking away from the street I take out my car keys and enter my car, while driving I decide to put on a song on the radio one of my favorite songs, recently released by my favorite band. It really helps me think when I want to figure out something out.
And now Shadowmane is out of imprisonment? I'm planning on doing something about it, Power ponies or not.
"Home sweet home." I said with a smile taking off my coat.
I then spent a few hours relaxing and watching T.V, and after some time I took out my laptop and read through the details of the Arkhoof breakout. Reading through the police report apparently Shadowmane escaped from Arkhoof and he was suspected to be planning something. The other villains refused to reveal something, but interestingly one of the inmates said something about shadow wanting to collect something. Something important and dangerous from the sound of it.
The power ponies are likely reading the report too and are planning the same thing. But if I can beat them to it I may be able to bring it to the police because they would actually keep it somewhere safe. The Power Ponies literally just keep villain superweapons in the Power ponies headquarters for any villain to take them. Their base is literally a giant building shaped like 2 P's right next to each other.
That is something for tomorrow though considering it's time to sleep right now. I may work hard but these things require patience!
Getting up from my couch I turn off the T.V and take a quick shower. After brushing my teeth I change into more suitable cloths for sleep. Getting in bed I start to think about Shadowmane, what could he want? What can be so dangerous that he's willing to escape from Arkhoof to obtain it?
'That's a question for another time I suppose'
Maretropolis Sewers
He was currently speaking through a phone to an unknown caller, but he knew that this unknown speaker had something of importance to him. Something of importance and very high value to him!
"Yes, it's where I promised it will be. The specimen is worth millions of bits, and came from beyond this planet even. Or at least that's what I've been told." Assured the caller.
"If it's so special then how can I be sure that you wont take it for yourself?" Asked Shadowmane with a raised eyebrow in suspicion.
"I'm not taking it for myself because using the specimen has the risk of it killing you. It requires you to be an exact match or else your body will reject it, thus it will kill you." The caller said with a somewhat sarcastic tone.
"Understood, I'll be at the decided location to pick up the thing." Said Shadowmane with an annoyed voice and look.
Dropping the phone and crushing it under his boot he started to head towards his safehouse to prepare for the day to come.
Everything is going according to plan.
On his way there he suddenly starts to pass through the Vowed underground. It's a secret location full of homeless people who don't care about identities all that much. He was planning to just walk through and get to the safehouse, but he hears something that catches his ears.
"Have you heard the rumors of the new super hero? She apparently has no powers but has the skills of a secret agent or something!" Whispered a old man with a intrigued voice.
"I've heard that she can beat up any villain even without superpowers!" Another rumored silently.
Shadowmane learned to catch someone when their lying but he could tell that these people's rumors weren't lies, but he had to be sure. Quickly making his way out of the underground he heads up to the surface through a manhole. He begins to climb up to the top of a building, and then proceeds to jump from building to building. As he passes over each building he hears more and more people talking. Some people were saying things like,
"Have you heard of her?" A unicorn child asked another child curiously.
"Who could this new hero be?" A earthpony mother asked another mother.
"She wears blue and purple cloths with a purple pointed hat!" A young boy yelled.
Every time he vaults across a building he hears these words, he already has the Power Ponies looking for him and now there's a new hero in city, without abilities? He may have escaped the Asylum but he doesn't have any form of communication with the other members of the League of Villainy on the inside.
He could always try to fight this heroine considering the fact that one to one combat is one of his specialties. But it brings the probability of the Power Ponies finding him. Suddenly stopping he realized that he was right outside of the Power Ponies headquarters. It was around midnight so he likely wouldn't be seen. Oh how much he wanted to simply go inside and attempt to destroy them, but he knew that he had to wait. The League almost won last time, but at last second they were defeated, so they will simply have to try again.
And this time the Power ponies will need a lot more than "Friendship," to defeat villains as powerful as they. Turning away from the building he simply looks at the city from the tall point he's standing on. There's so much he can steal, but no matter what there's someone who wants to get in his business.
"Why do things have to be so complicated when it could be so simple?" He says out loud aggravated.
Looking down he sees two teenage Pegasus boys walking along the sidewalk, but that's not what caught his attention no. It's what they were talking about that he paid interest to.
"You know what her name is?" Asked a boy with widened eyes.
"I do! She said it when she stopped a crime once." Responded the other with a amazed look.
"Well what is it?!" Asked the first with impatience.
"Mare Do Well."

Quickly letting you know that these are the main six version of the power ponies. I also suggest you check out the Power Ponies annual 2014 comic, the story will likely make more sense that way. I also really loved making the other villains backstories!

Chapter 2: Stealing from a thief

Except right now though.
"You mean nobody has any idea where this guy is and what he's going to do?" I asked with disbelief.
There's got to be at least one hint to his plans! Something that can tell me or someone else what to do, but preferably me. As much as it sounds selfish, I may not be a superhero but I still want to stop at least one villain. Powers or no powers, and I plan to keep that promise.
"If I can get anything I'll tell you, but so far I've got nothing." Responded Voice with a stone face. He can be a person that may seem emotionless, but can be very caring in the end.
"Alright, thanks anyway I guess." I said as farewell.
Walking away from the desk I head towards my own office to think things through. Walking down the hallway I open the office door that says Quick Writer on the window. As soon as I entered I started pacing around the room, so apparently Shadowmane escaped from Arkhoof to obtain something. Something that is very dangerous, something that is important enough that he would go to extreme lengths to get it.
But where would he want to get it? It would need to be a secluded area, somewhere no one would want to go. I have a lot of ideas that can be possible locations, but it will end up in blind guessing. That may be my only option for the moment, the first guess is the abandoned construction site of the original Arkhoof Asylum after it was shutdown, the abandoned Saint's Church, and the destroyed Longhorn Labs a laboratory researching into a possible cure for horngyrus, a disease that could permanently prevent a unicorn from using magic.
Though it was destroyed in a battle between the power ponies and Longface.
Blind guesses, but if I'm right I may be able to stop Shadowmane from getting what he wants.
Saint's church
I still wonder what could have happened to her. Since our first date to the day she disappeared I looked so much happier. I guess things have changed.
Thinking of leaving I suddenly see a slight cropping of a shadow move on the street. And sure enough I saw a dark figure walking into the church! This is my chance to get them! I may need to be careful about this, Taking out a hockey mask I put it on, I may well built but Identity is everyone's greatest weakness. From police reports Shadowmane is a world class thief, but he's also a fierce fighter. Took on whole squads of police by himself and got away without being touched. I'm no Power pony, so stealth may be my best option.
With the mask on I slowly sneak out of my car and follow the suspect into the church, approaching the steps I ensure that I silently open the door and walk into the main sanctuary. I see him up on the concession stand holding a large combat knife, sneaking behind a few chairs I silently watch him through the eyeholes of my mask.
He took the knife and started cutting the stand opening it and reaching inside pulling something out. I couldn't see what he was holding though, I needed to get closer.
It was a circular containment tube big enough that he had to hold it with both arms like a baby. But on the inside was some kind of black blob of biomass or ooze. But what surprised me the most was the fact that It was moving! It almost like it was... alive.
I suddenly hear a police siren outside with blue and red lights shining through the window. The suspect turned around instantly almost causing the cylinder to fall out of his arms, and sure enough two unicorn police officers barged through the doors and pointed their horns at Shadowmane likely charging up attack spells, they didn't see me though and he didn't either.
"Freeze right where you are! You're under arrest!" One of the officers shouted. Its amazing that even with our advancements we don't have much in the weapons category of technology.
Shadowmane started to try and run, but the tube and constricted his movement. The second he started moving the officer shot his arm and he of course dropped the containment cell. To everyone's shock as soon as it hit the floor the glass shattered. It shattered right at my feet and in front of me, that's when everyone saw me and wore shocked faces. Suddenly that ooze started to inch towards me.
I started to run and I quickly busted my way through the backdoors near me. I heard yelling but the police were focused on Shadowmane. As soon as I got outside I realized something horrible. Slowly looking down I see something that was definitely not good.
That thing, it was on my shirt! I tried to rip it off but nothing seemed to work. It was inching upwards towards my face. Backing up against a wall I began to panic, taking in fast a rattled breaths. When I thought It was gonna do something horrible to me I closed my eyes and waited for death. But when I opened my eyes I realized something. It just phased into my body, disappeared. It felt cold when it went inside of me, through my shirt and skin.
Wasting no time I ran to the front of the church and hurried into my car. Fumbling with the car keys I slammed my foot onto the gas pedal and floored it! While driving I realized how wet my shirt was from me sweating, but I didn't care. I took off my mask and only thought about what the hell just happened to me.
" Ok, so I went after a villain, almost got caught by police, and got some kind of blob of black goo inside of me."

'What the hell do I do!? I cant just tell someone! I'm going to have to keep this to myself, or I'm probably going to be shipped off to some lab or targeted by villains. I had the mask on so no one will know it was me. Celestia, just, what the hell do I do.'
I started to do breathing exercises, breath in and out, in and out. Eventually I calmed down, later after at least thirty minutes I reached my home. Taking the mask I threw it in the trash and speed walked into the house. Unlocking the door I just slowly walk over to the couch, and lay down. Looking around I just thought of everything that happened one last time.
And simply put, I passed out.
Waking up I suddenly jumped up into the air! I didn't even mean to, it's like my body was forcing me to move. And I felt … hungry, a desperate need to eat something … anything. Running over to the fridge I take out 2 chicken salads I've been saving from a fast food place. Wasting no time I tore through it, the only thought I had in mind was constant.
I need more...
Taking out a half cooked steak I tore off the tinfoil and ate it quickly. Spitting out the bones onto the floor I knew it would take a while to clean it, but I didn't care, I couldn't care!
I need more …
I was literally taking everything, eating everything in the fridge! After eating almost all of it leaving behind appetizers and desterts, I felt everything going dark again, and I felt myself starting to pass out, what the hell is going on?!
"We need more."
Surpassing my tiredness and exhaustion I started to eat ice cream, potato chips, spoiled food I finally felt myself falling over.
And everything went dark.

Chapter 3: Can you hear me?
Quick Writer's Home
While washing myself I start feeling... Strange.
It's like my vision started to seem darker, but when I blinked my eyes everything seemed normal. I just dismissed it as being tired, so I simply just carry on with my daily routine. Drying myself I brush my teeth and pick up a broom and trash bag to start cleaning up the mess in the living room. At first I thought I got hungover last night or or something but then I remembered what happened. From the day at work to the confrontation I had at the church.
Taking out my phone I started to read through the news, it looks like what happened at the church was written down quickly. Shadowmane got away in the end, but the interesting thing is the article didn't mention me at the scene. It looks like the police doesn't want anyone to know about what went down. They're also not aware of what he wanted at that church, but that thing in the container was what he wanted. And he doesn’t have it it's... its...
That reminds me ... oh crap.
Somethings in my body isn't there? Was is some kind of parasite? A Ex government experiment? I don't plan on looking for any unwanted attention so going to the authorities may be out of the question. It was important enough for a world class thief to try and steal, so I don't want it to get in the wrong hands. Besides I'm sure I can just get rid of it somehow, maybe through some nice rest. I placed my phone in my pocket and continue to clean the final remnants of the living room trash.
It's the weekends after all, so if I don't need to work today then I'll take all the break time I can get. After finally cleaning up everything I leave the bag by the door so I can take it away later. Walking towards my bedroom I open the door and prostrate myself as soon as I got on the bed. But when I started to sleep laying down in bed I swore I heard a voice silently talk, it sounded like me if I had a deep sore throat.
"Like you'll get rid of me Quill."
Opening my eyes I sit up instantly, looking my eyes I tried to find the source of the voice. Am I going crazy?
"Is anyone there?" I asked searching the room, I started sweating and yet felt cold fear at what it was.
Getting up in a slight panic I ran into the kitchen and sat down on a chair at started to think. My mind began to race, what happened last night and now I'm hearing some kind of voice? Deciding I should talk to someone I get my phone out of my pocket and dial Voice Recorders number.
"Voice Recorder, what is it?" Asked Recorders voice on the other side.
"V-voice? It's me, its Quill." With a slightly shaky and distressed tone.
"Quill? How are you? Everyone was going crazy about what happened last night at the abandoned church." Voice explained with a voice slightly above his usual quiet persona.
Should I really tell him? It may be a lot for him to take it all in at once, so I decide to just tell him a few things and leave others out. Collecting my thoughts I begin to speak, "Voice listen, I'm not feeling great, I feel so hungry and I swear I'm hearing a voice or something!" I said with pin prick sized eyes.
"What?" He asked with a confused and concerned tone.
"He's not the brightest is he?" Asked a familiar voice within the reaches of my mind.
As soon as I heard him again I took a deep breath. Not realizing just how bad I sounded.
"Are you alright?" Questioned voice this time with more concern and less confusion.
"Who is he anyways?"
"No, no! Just stop!" I exclaimed putting my hand against my head not realizing I said that out loud.
"Okay you really should just take a breather Quill." He said returning to his calm quiet voice.
"Yes Quill, breathe." Suggested that voice with sarcastic malevolence.
Swiftly hanging up I thought that I could use some fresh air and a nice walk. Putting on some outing cloths and a coat I exit my home. While walking I realized that some people I passed by would give me weird looks, I must have looked like mess. As I walked down the side walk I suddenly took note that no one was around showing that I could experiment something. It's something no one would ever try, but If I want to get to the bottom of this I should just go ahead and say screw it.
"Okay, whoever you are! C-can I talk to you?" I asked at first confident but then nervously at the end with a slight stutter.
"Hello Quill, interesting to speak with you again." It said with a somewhat pleased tone, I think.
"How do you know my name?" I asked with curiosity overcoming my fear.
"I have learned many things about you. I am within your mind, so I have gotten a glimpse at a few of your memories, but not all of them." He explained as if it was nothing.
I was a little annoyed that he looked at my memories but I guess I can't do anything about it can I? Continuing my walk I begin to feel a lot better, at least I think I do.
"What are you exactly?" I asked carefully hoping that I wont insult him.
I am Venom and my species are of the Klyntar, the first few humans I have met have been referring to me as a symbiote though."
"A symbiote huh? Well you probably had it rough for some time. I've also had it somewhat rough, but let me make it clear." I said clearing my throat.
"If you're going to stay then we'll need some ground rules! One, if your hungry then just ask and please don't make me go all crazy and eat everything like that again alright. Two, don't do anything harmful to me or my body and go to another person, please. Understood?" I said with authority while trying to be understanding.
"That is … reasonable, besides why would I harm you? I may have killed the others but you're an exact match for me. You're also a far too great of a host in a physical sense so throwing you away would be a horrible idea." Venom said nicely, but it felt as if there was something behind that voice.
Now that I think about it I'm in a prime condition and pretty fit compared to others, but as long as he doesn't kill me then I'll work out as much as he needs me to! A thought of getting something to eat sprouted into my head so I walked to a nearby donut shop to go ahead and enjoy something, now that I got all of this cleared up.
"Say, have you ever tried a donut before?" I asked with a smile.
"I don't believe I know what that is. I have only recently arrived on this planet so I am curious about what is here." Venom said honestly wondering what this "donut" was.
Boy then he is in for something.
The store was perfectly empty except for the cashier at the register, so I simply moved myself up to the front counter.
"I'll take 3 Pegaston Cream donuts." I ordered with a smile.
"Of course sir, we'll get that right to you." She said cheerfully taking 3 donuts off the rack and gave them to me in a box.
Taking them out I take a bite and I feel the taste going through my taste buds. I quickly hear Venom react quickly.
"Delightful! What is this taste? Especially that brown and black covering on the top." Venom said with what could be wide eyes if he had a more physical form.
"That my friend, is chocolate!" I said with a smile.
So he can taste what I taste. And he appears to like chocolate just like me. I would have slight small talk with Venom, but then he said something that caught me by surprise.
"This ... chocolate surprisingly reminds me of the taste of a brain." Venom said with a way too calm tone.
Wait what? What does he mean by that?!
Before I could demand what he meant 3 earthpony men just entered the store. And they we're all wearing plain white masks with eyeholes. The one thing that caught my interest most was that they were all armed with large swords. Luckily they didn't notice me though.
"Get all the cash in the register in this bag or else we'll slit your throat." The man in the front said with malice, but the cashier couldn't seem to move.
"Now!" He yelled!
The woman at the front seemed to instantly snap back to reality and started to take cash out of the register. I felt disgusted at what these people were doing. And strangely, I felt like Venom was disgusted too.
"We've got to do something!" I whispered quickly. Hoping I can take them out with Venom's help somehow.
"If you wish to stop them then we will." Said Venom with a dark chuckle. At first I thought of going in with a plan but as soon as I saw him banging the sword on the counter threating the cashier I knew there wasn't any time to plan.
Quickly feeling myself get up both on purpose and by Venom I suddenly thrust my hand out. Then shocking me and everyone else my arm turned into a black tendril and grabbed the weapons out of all three of the thugs hands. The second assailant recovered and tried to rush me.
Swiftly reacting I ducked to the side a pushed him onto a counter and later he landed on the floor. Then one of them pulled a knife out of their pocket and went to attack me from behind.
I didn't counteract this fast enough, but the symbiote within me did!
My arms and hands were covered in black biomass like the arms and gloves of a suit of armor. Taking the robber by the throat and almost crushing it causing the knife to fall out of his hand. Then looking to my left my fist suddenly became almost three times bigger. Smiling, it collided with his head knocking him into unconsciousness. The first thug then got up from the floor and shouted a battle cry while running towards me.
Counter attacking I gave a strong right hook to his head and a rough punch to the abdomen sending him to the floor making him cry in pain.
With two thugs down I turn around seeing that the third had been standing there this whole time without saying a word. I approached him slowly, but then I took note that I was getting heavier and bulkier. Being covered by more and more the black substance until it covered my whole body. Then I realized something, I was huge! I felt stronger with rippling muscles and highly noticeable white veins surging through my body. And my face and head had been replaced with 2 white sharp eyes, thousands of teeth, and a very long tongue.
Venom and I were now one as a strong and terrifying monster of a being.
Or at least that's what I thought judging from the almost bleach white and traumatized look on the criminals face.
"You honestly believe we would just let you hurt the innocent? Come and take whatever you want truly believing it would be without consequence?" We asked with slight anger and boldness.
With him shaking and eyes pin-pricked eyes he slowly shook his head praying to Celestia that We wouldn't hurt him.
"Well, there is one consequence."
Suddenly with him screaming, "NO! NO! PLEASE!" We reached our head down with incomparable speed and chomped his head right off his body. Grabbing him we simply ate the rest of his body with pleasure.
Looking to the counter I realized the Pegasus fainted, likely after I first rushed the thugs. Good, she won't know what truly happened. Opening the door we started to run at speeds faster than a car away from the scene.
We soon reached my house and after we entered I felt my body get smaller and eventually I reverted back to how I originally was. At first I felt the adrenaline rush leave me, but then the horrifying truth just hit me.
"Oh, oh my. We just gorged on that guy! Just... ate him whole." I said sitting down on the couch as always these days.
"We stopped them, simple as that." He said matter of factly.
I decided to argue against his point.
"What do you mean?! We can't just eat people whole." I said with a distressed face putting one hand to it.
"It's something you should begin to expect." Venom then turned himself into a large tendril with a snake like appearance looking similar to what we looked like back at the shop.
"Holy shit, just … holy shit." I said closing my eyes.
"I'm delighted to see that we will be staying together Quill, I rather like you." Said Venom looking out the window.
I just sat there for the rest of the night. Thinking about what just happened.
And what will happen next.
Venom crashes Maretropolis

Eventually I managed to calm down last night and slept on the couch. When I woke up I found that Venom had retracted back into me and seemed to act normal as always. After grabbing a quick breakfast I went to work so I can get ready for the day, and I was planning to get a few things done. Unfortunately an idea for a article was now out of the way because Shadowmane has gone completely silent.
"There may be a few things, how about this new hero that was being talked about on our way to your workplace?" Suggested Venom passing on the information to me.
So apparently there's this new hero, or as some call her... a vigilante. She doesn't seem to have any superpowers and mainly prioritizes on her fighting ability and special weapons.
Taking his idea with consideration I started typing down a article and soon I got the base of what I should post.
The mysterious Mare do well!
The overall idea wasn't too complicated to understand. When she first came in to the hero business she managed to take down the big griffin mob boss Carmine Beakcone, and since then the mafia had been almost disbanded. With him gone regular crimes and villainy had been the basis of evil these days. I wonder who she is?
"Quill someone's coming to your door." Venom warned and sure enough I saw Voice enter my office.
"Hey Quill, just wanted to check if your okay. You seemed shaken the last time I talked to you." He said across the room.
"I'm completely fine Voice, I just needed some time to get myself together." I said getting up from my desk.
"Lets go grab some coffee and just talk for a bit." I said leading him outside.
We eventually found ourselves in a Caffe sipping away at drinks and just enjoying our time. As I sat there I began to reflect on everything that happened so far. I chased down a Supervillain and took some kind of alien from him. Late that alien turned out to be living inside me in a mutualism partnership and had even stopped a robbery, and at the same time we ripped someone's head off.
Now that I really think about it, I have superpowers now. So what should I do? Go around and fight evil? Become thewe have to fight them? Talking to someone about this would be a good idea, but Venom doesn't have the most empathy in the world.
I think I can ask Voice Recorder about this, but I'll ask him in a different way.
"Hey Voice, I have a theoretical question to ask you." I said hoping he wouldn't catch my hint.
"You take way to many risks, you know that right?" Venom asked with sarcasm.
I literally had to use all my willpower to respond with another sarcastic quote. If I did though I would probably look like I'm insulting Voice.
"Sure, what's the question?" Voice asked with his regular monotone voice.
Well, here goes nothing.
"Okay, so, if I were to, say... well. If I had super powers, what should I do?" I asked with a nervous edge.
And honestly, I was pretty nervous. Considering the fact I have super powers I can probably do whatever I, or we want. But I have no idea where to take things from now, sure being a super hero would be a awesome idea and all.
But a super hero had failed to save my parents. I just... felt lost since then, and the idea of being a super hero was just that... an idea. A impossible concept that wouldn't happen. But now we have the power ponies and there are other super heroes in other cities. It all just feels, conflicting.
"Interesting question to ask Quill." He said putting his steaming cup down.
"The three options are pretty clear, you can use them to protect those who cannot protect themselves, keep quiet and not let anyone know about them, or you can take what you want. It's all right in front of you, its just your choice on what to do." He said wisely.
"Perhaps he isn't as dumb and emotionless as I once thought." Venom said with surprise.
Now that I really consider it, his words are something to think about. Three different paths and all of them can take me somewhere I may not fully want to go. Venom and I can make a amazing team as a hero, I can just keep this to myself, or I can become a monster that is feared all over Equestria. So few options yet it feels so impossible to choose one.
"Other heroes have been in that position, and I believe there are some you haven't heard of. There's the Daredevil in Manehattan, team CMC in Centrail, and one of my personal favorites is the Spider pony."
"Wait the spider pony? That kind of seems like a stupid name." I said with a for some reason aggravated voice.
"Don't like him?" He asked with a incredulous voice.
"For some reason I don't." Taking a sip of my coffee.
"That name strangely irritates me as well." Venom said seeming somewhat confused,
"Anyway as I was saying." Voice cleared his throat to continue to speak.
"There are a lot of super heroes who didn't know what to do at first. But that choice is yours and yours alone." He said looking down in contemplation.
"Thanks Voice you've been a great help." I said with a grin.
After some small talk later we parted our ways, on my way back to the Gazette I talked to Venom.
"Truthfully, in all my life no one had ever considered using this power to help others. I had simply wanted to live, and had no choice but to lend my strength to whoever was a match for me." Venom said with a saddened voice.
"Unfortunately, all of my usable hosts decided to abuse the bond." Venom whispered with shame.
"We both have gone through a rough patch haven't we?" I said with a sympathetic expression.
So now we're left with a few choices, stay a civilian, become a hero, or become the villain.
Little did I know I had to make that choice soon.
Arkhoof Asylum
"So tell me Long-face you decided that teaming up could be a great idea to spread your mission of suffering pain right?" Asked Pharaoh Phetlock with a stone face.
"That was the idea Pharaoh, and I believe you wanted to have you as a dictator correct?" Mentioned Long-face with his down face as usual.
"Well where are we now you idiot?! We're locked in here with all these crazed lunatics!" Yelled Pharaoh with anger.
"Well Phony pharaoh what did you do to contribute? When we were planning you barely did anything!" Said Long-face calling him by that name he hated so much.
The lunchroom was then filled with the loud sounds of insults. One side was quiet and emotionless while the other seemed absolutely furious, but it's all the same isn't it?
"Enough!" Yelled multiple agitated voices.
Long-face and Pharaoh Phetlock then turned to see that the rest of the members of the League of Villainy had been sitting just a few tables away.
"We're trying to eat in peace here!" Shouted Mane-iac with different sized pupils.
So far they haven't gotten any good plans for escape, from digging through the floors with plastic spoons, and eating the bars of a cell they couldn't find a way to escape. Shadowmane had pulled it off but they didn't know how it was done, so they were practically left behind.
As they all continued lunch Smudge then realized that there was some kind of marking on his tray. Taking everything off of it he noticed that they were letters forming a single word.
"Duck?" Smudge read out loud.
He didn't seem to get the point because the wall behind him blew towards him causing a large chunk of debris to smack him on the back of the head. At that moment he turned around getting ready to simply slaughter whoever dared to hurt him.
"The message said duck what didn't you understand?!" Shadowmane exclaimed stepping into the cafeteria.
"Yeah, yeah screw you too." Said Smudge with a smile. The others had similar reactions though were happy to know they would be free soon.
"Did you really have to use the same plan as last time to break us out?" Asked High Heel with boredom.
"This is Arkhoof Asylum I practically walked in here." Said Shadowmane with a plain face.
Shadowmane then undid all their binds, but that's when five security guards ran through the door.
"Sound the alarm, the prisoners have escaped!" One said pulling out a baton.
The others followed his example pulling out weapons and charging at the group. As expected though, that was the worst thing they could have probably done. It's literally a bunch of people armed with batons and their fist against the most dangerous convicts of Martropolis.
Mane-iac first used her mane to grab the first guard by the neck and threw him through the hole in the wall cackling manically the whole time. Two more had attempted to rush Long-face but he just stood there waiting for them to approach, and at just the last second... he smiled.
The guard was going to respond with a hard hit to the villains face but before he could do so, he heard the sound of flesh being torn through.
Looking down he realized it was a large black and red hand and arm going through his chest. Collapsing dead Long-Face saw Smudge right behind where the guard was with a sinister grin. After claiming the blood of his victim Smudge grew back to his original tall size.
On the other side of the large cafeteria three guards were attempting to rush High Heel and Pharaoh Phetlock in hopes of winning through superior numbers. They got a knife and a boot to each of their necks killing them instantly!
"You idiots need to have more class in your combat." Said High Heel dusting her suit off.
As soon as the fight was over the villains had taken a second to admire their carnage. They then all proceeded to go to the vault to collect all their gear, and as soon as they did. It could have been considered beauty by some. And others may see it as a slaughter fest. High Heel had even started playing music over the intercom to celebrate such a gorgeous occasion.
Reaching the exit they all looked out at the cool night just taking in the fact that they are once again free. It was a full moon shining down on them showing a possible future if they can change and become better people.
That would be the case if these were literally any other people, but no, they didn't do that.
"Looks like we're back in business!" Exclaimed ~~Phony~~ Pharaoh Phetlock with his arms up, wearing a boastful smile.
The others responded by giving him unamused looks, Mane-iac even cuffed him in the back of the head.
"But before we leave lets leave something to entertain them!" Mane-iac said with insanity using her mane to carve letters into the wall.
After an hour the police arrived at the scene to only see a destroyed gate, and a large 5 word sentence engraved into the wall.

Venom crashes Maretropolis

Except for this one reporter and a hidden symbiote that wished to speak with a few officers. Another fact about these two is that they still aren't sure about what direction to take with their newfound power.
"What is your opinion on this Arkhoof breakout?" I asked hoping for a good answer. I came here for the voice of our police after all.
"All we know is that Shadowmane once again broke the League out of Arkhoof and I assure you that we're doing everything we could to bring them into custody." Explained Police Chief Carrot Top holding her hands up in reassurance.
She always seemed to just talk to the people of Maretropolis whenever they reached out to the police. I can't fully blame her since it's the super heroes taking down serious threats anyways, and now we're going to need them more than ever. The League of Villainy is a complete team now and this time they won't underestimate the power ponies.
"Things aren't looking great for us Quill." Venom whispered within the reaches of my mind.
"We'll just have to see whatever happens then." I said turning around walking towards the exit.
"Quill, those seven are giving me a strange feeling." Venom said with skepticism. Prompting me to look towards what he meant I saw 6 girls and a young boy talking with a few officers on the other side of the room.
"Those aren't reporters, why would they be here?" I asked to myself and Venom.
"I suggest we leave, this may be a problem. Unless you want to eat them which I would love to do!" Venom said with a false hope which I enthusiastically denied.
"We don't know if they're bad people Venom, remember we only hurt or eat the guys ok? We're not even recognized as super heroes so fighting in a space like this would scare people." I said looking at my shoulders to tell him off.
Unexpectedly though one of them turned towards me, they were a shy looking Pegasus and when she saw me she seemed to just stare at me for a while.
I decided to wave to her as a friendly notion.
But when I waved at her she got the others attention and when she did they all just stared at me.
"Quill lets go, now!" Venom said quickly.
Following his advice I paced to the front doors of the Precinct, but before I could get my hand on the handle the earthpony girl with fluffy looking pink hair and a smile that practically covered her whole face stepped in front of me. How did she do that? I was so close to the exit and she was on the other side of the building!
"HitheremynamesPinkiePiewhat'syournameIsawyoulookingatusfromacrosstheplaceandsuresomepeoplejustlookaroundbutyouwavedatFluttershysothatmeansyouwanttobefriendsanddidyouknowtheVenommoviehasbadratingsbutaudiencesactuallyseemtoloveit?!" Shouted this "Pinkie Pie."
Quill just seemed to stand there trying to understand what in the world this strange and insane seeming human just asked, so I helped him by controlling his body to walk away as quickly as possible. The whole time he had held a contemplating face.
I was actually considering forming to our symbiosis form to chomp her head off, but Quill likely wouldn't like that.
"Huh what just happened?" I asked after snapping back to reality.
"I have no idea, I just had us leave when that weird girl came up to us." Venom explained while still walking my body.
Taking back control I just decided to wander through the streets. Taking in the sights he starts to think, what should he fight for? The images going through his mind is him and the symbiote joining together to become Venom and protect the city. Another image that he has is going through my mind is becoming a villain, robbing banks, eating people, and eat that spider pony guy because they just seemed dumb.
"We're being followed." Venom warned my quietly.
At first I thought it was one of those girls I saw, but instead when I took a slight glimpse I saw a unicorn with green and white hair. Why would he be following me? I didn't look at him to feign ignorance, but I had Venom continue to watch him.
I'm not just going to leave myself blind.
He continued to just follow me through open streets and areas.
I eventually lost him and tried to think nothing of it. Coming home I opened the door and took a look outside through the window.
"Who do you think that was?" Asked Venom also keeping an eye on the area around the house. Looking away I had decided to take a take a seat in the dining room and took a sandwich out of the fridge.
"I have no idea, a lot of weird people have shown up today. Do you know why those girls and that boy aroused your suspicion?" I asked curiously while taking a bite out of my dinner.
"I'm not certain, they just seemed to stand out of all the powerless humans in the building." Venom explained.
"So you're saying that there's a possibility they have powers?" I asked with a raised eyebrow.
"Only as a guess, Quill. There are many variables and I don't have a definite answer." Venom said uncertainly.
The rest of the night was just me and Venom speaking to each other about what could and can happen. We're moving forward so quickly and I don't like it. We don't like it all.
Waking up I had realized I overslept, running out of the house with no breakfast I had my mind racing. We had hatched a plan for the next time we see that guy following us. But we will need to interrogate him to find out why they were following us.
Let's just ho-
"QUILL WHY DID WE NOT EAT BREAKFAST I'M HUNGRY!" Venom said making my legs stop thus causing my face to land straight onto the concrete.
"Okay lets get breakfast." I said picking up my face and dusting off my cloths.
Continuing to run I had rushed to a nearby fast food place. Luckily the line wasn't too long so I ordered a small breakfast burger and ran out of the restaurant. But when I ran out again I saw him, the same man from yesterday.
"Keep eating, I'll keep an eye on him." Venom said.
Listening to him I slowed down and stayed at walking speed and continued to eat, keeping myself from looking suspicious. Later we found ourselves entering the citywide area. Remembering the plan I had quickened my pace prompting our stalker to quicken as well .
Turning a corner I walk into an alleyway, and forming my arms into black tendrils I grapple myself up on the wall above the entrance to the alley. And sure enough that unicorn individual had followed, but when he didn't see me he had a shocked face. He also seemed scared of something, or someone.
"Crooks never look up do they?" I asked with the most cockiest smile I could make,
All I saw was the crooks wide eyed expression when I jumped down landing on top of him. Grabbing him by the neck we formed into Venom seeming to terrify him.
"Why we're you following us?" We asked with our usual savage grin.
Refusing to say anything, he just stood there seeming to be close to fainting.
"If you do not respond we will eat your head right off your neck, and then we will eat the rest of your body knowing that nobody will find out about what happened today." We said giving a firm message across.
We made sure to make our eyes look much sharper when we leaned forwards to make us look a bid more menacing.
"M-Mane-iac sent me here!" He said turning away holding his hands in front of his face.
The Mane-iac sent him? What does the greatest Villain in all of Maretropolis want with me? She doesn't know it was me at the church does she?
"Why did she send you after us?" We aske- no demanded!
"She told me to warn you. Stay away from the Maretropolis Gazette tomorrow, or else you'll be killed along the rest of them." He said in a scared rush.
"Why did she want to warn us specifically?" We asked wondering what the answer would be.
"I don't know, all she said was that Quick Writer was to be spared and wanted him out of the way I swear!" He said.
" Well lets hope you're not important to her." We said maniacally opening our mouth showing off our gigantic array of teeth.
Instead of simply tearing his head off we decided to snap his neck in a instant with one hand.
It became a rainy day after that.
Maretropolis City Center Roof
Sure we killed as well, but they were criminals not innocents!
Looking to the ground below us we saw our reflection in the water. Our face didn't have our usual grin and eyes, but instead had a downtrodden look to it. How can someone who looks so evil be a hero? Why would the people ever look up to us? Life and death are two things that is never decided by humanity. And becoming a hero will make us something else entirely.
Who are we?
Turning back to Quill I just stared at my reflection.
Slowly but surely Venom had come out as his snakelike appearance, and also looked at my reflection. The reflection that he couldn't appear in.
"I was actually pretty hated among my kind." Venom said with sad eyes.
"I was someone who liked to have long lasting bonds, tried to be more than just a parasite that clung to someone for survival. I tried to be friends with the one I was bonded to." Venom drawled.
"But because of that, I was an outcast. A black sheep among Kylntar, and I tried all I could to fit in. Sure I was violent like the rest of them, but... I was always different." Venom said sadly.
"I thought all I could do was destroy, only harm those around me because of what I was."
"But then I met you, Quill." Venom said looking directly at me.
"When I first met you I thought you were pathetic in truth." Venom said truthfully.
"Wow thanks pal." I responded with an annoyed expression looking at him now.
"Let me finish, when I met you I thought you were pathetic. But, you showed me how to live, not survive. By just talking to me, eating food, showing me what chocolate tasted like. You taught me that I am someone." Venom said with a smile.
"One host told me a story once."
Life and death were talking to each other near a large body of water.. Life asked Death,
And death replied, 'Because they see you as beautiful, and see me as nothing but a harmful truth.' Responded death. Venom said finishing the story.
I didn't say anything back but chose to simply look out at the rainy city in front of me.
"Well, I want to deny that truth now." Venom said retracting back into me.
Peering out at the city I called home I began to speak, "For so long I was tortured, my parents deaths had a impact on me. Almost ruined me completely, and when I met the love of my life I felt complete again." I said with teary eyes.
"But then I lost her, and I thought, why should I live with this? Why live with the pain?" I said with tears flowing down my eyes.
Black biomass then started to go up my legs.
"But I chose to live, and I live with the memories of what happened. And now..."

Jumping out into the city the sky stopped raining. And we felt more clear than ever.

But then, the doors had opened and a woman wearing a large dress and hat had entered the building. Everyone looked at her not knowing what she wanted, and she walked up to the front desk.
"Excuse me madam but can we help you?" Asked a security guard that approached her,
"Yes you can, I would like to project a message for the city." She asked looking directly at the guard.
Her eyes had a green outside and a red iris.
After vaulting ourselves through the city we were closing in on the Gazette. It was absolute chaos! People were running out of the building and it was surrounded by police and reporters. This time we're going to need a plan, so we decided to get close and listen into their conversation.
"And I am just outside of the Maretropolis Gazette, and just now I heard that the Mane-iac, one of the escaped criminals from Arkhoof has a hostage at sword point and is demanding to talk with the mayor of the city." A reporter said holding a microphone up to their face.
Crap they have a hostage, we'll have to think this through carefully. The Power Ponies might show up, but not in time for them to save the hostage and stop her.
"Quill if we go in there everyone is going to know that we exist." Venom said as a final warning.
"If we don't go in that hostage is going to die." I said moving us towards the building.
Vaulting over the crowd with all our strength we ran towards the building. We then Climbed up and into the windows. The crowd was going wild on what was happening. Some of them were saying things like, "What is that?!", "Is that thing going to save that man?" And others were... describing what's happen inside the building?
And that's when I realized, they were all recording live on the inside of the building too. We're going to have to slightly hold back if we don't want to scare them too badly.
Watching from the roof we saw Mane-iac holding... Voice Recorder with one lock and having a sword in the other. He seemed to have a stone face, but we could tell that he was scared as anyone would be.
"Alright now listen Maretropolis! I want to talk to authority and if I don't this one gets it." She said with a insane smile.
Our mind was running at speeds faster than Filli-second trying to think up a plan to save him. And when we saw her drag the blade across his cheek leaving a bleeding scar we knew what to do.
RAAAAAAA! Letting out a primal roar we shot a black tendril out of our shoulder at the lock of her mane holding the blade in place, and punched her in the stomach causing her to fly back and drop Voice at the same time. Reacting Quickly we leaped and scooped our friend in our arms and had ran out of the building gently placing him down in front of the crowd.
They all seemed astonished, in awe, and some suspicious at what we were doing. Why would something so monstrous be protecting the innocent? We were about to say something, but the sound of glass shattering behind us had stopped us.
"What kind of creature would dare face me?" Mane-iac said with furious eyes. She didn't seem too intimidated by our appearance but that wont matter.
Vaulting towards her with our fist out we suddenly started exchanging hits. She threw multiple tendrils of her mane at us, but we promptly responded by flipping and jumping backwards dodging every single attack.
Diving at her we delivered a devastating kick at her waist landing her on the ground. Grasping her legs we threw her at the wall, but she recovered last second and cushioned her landing with her mane.
She let out a scream and charged at us with murder in her expression. We responded by running at her as well, but when she tried to connect her attacks we had dived out of the way last second, and delivered a roundhouse kick to the back of her head. That stopped her, because when we did she fell to the ground completely unconscious.
Looking at her on the ground Quill thought, "Holy crap we just beat the Mane-iac!"
Peering up we saw that the crowd and soon all of Maretropolis knew of us now. At that moment we knew that we had done it, we chose the route of heroism, and if we were hated or loved it wouldn't matter. Because we would fight for them no matter what. We were their lethal protector.
They all ran at us and we expected them to attack with all their might...
But unexpectedly, they cheered for us. They had awed faces and were clapping. I think our jaw had dropped and our teeth were showing because some were nervously laughing.
"That was amazing!" A officer hollered.
"You saved that man!" A unicorn woman shouted.
"How strong are you?" A little boy asked.
"You look scary! But a cool scary!" A mothers daughter hollered.
This was absolutely not expected. Some of them were standing back in fear as we knew they would. But 70% of them were cheering for our victory.
"Who are you?!" They all shouted as a question.
It's time for them to all know. To know who we are now, and we knew exactly what to say. Because we are a hero of the city now.
"We Are Venom." We declared with a proud face. We then backed up and jumped away from the scene, and all of them we're cheering and asking if they could ask a question.
Then a familiar 7 had showed up.
"Don't worry the Power Ponies are here." They drawled seeing the defeated Mane-iac and crowd cheering, "Venom."
Stopping at our home we changed back to Quill. Walking into the house I did the one thing I could. I went into the kitchen ripped open the fridge and took out multiple bottles of Beer and a full chocolate cake with Venom smiling the whole time.
Grabbing the stereo I went into the Living room. I put it to full volume and played a certain song, standing up on the table and opened my mouth taking in a deep breath. Venom in his snake form he followed suit.
"WEEEEE ARE THE CHAMPIONS, MY FRIENDS!"
And thus the rest of the night was full of drunk karaoke and shameless celebrating as a new super hero. Knowing what we had done, and felt proud the whole time.

That thing had announced itself as "Venom", and a certain mare had taken note. But not in what he was or what he did. But what he was capable of, the whole fight was recorded and he had showed his immense fighting power.
She felt that if they were to turn on Maretropolis they could be almost unstoppable. And she didn't want them to hurt innocent civilians. This... Venom, has to be stopped.
Some would think was this mare a villain? No she wasn't completely, she was a vigilante and a criminal. A criminal that fought for the innocent. And this thing was too dangerous to ignore.
Walking out of the room she opened a hidden passageway in her house. It lead to a stairway to under the house. Walking down the stairs it lead to a underground command center. But this room wasn't the reason why she came here. Walking towards a closet in the wall she opened it. And inside of it, was a suit of a recent someone known as a hero.
