//-------------------------------------------------------// Celestia's Son -by Lunar Spyer- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// The Return //-------------------------------------------------------// The Return Solar Chaos woke up, and saw a blue sky overhead. His memories flooded his mind, the worlds he had been to, the power he accumulated, the reason he had been forced to go on his journey. The lover who spurned him, his father who was never there, and his family who turned on him him when he needed them most. His fist clenched, he loved them, some even joined him as part of his herd. They let him down, and he suffered for it. He was sent away with nothing but a spark of his power, and he spent lifetimes rebuilding his power, changing forms as he needed, finally coming to a bipedal creature known as a human. He chose it for it’s adaptability, and it’s ability to harness magical power, though some worlds have a great many humans who have forgotten the talent, and a few where the art has been completely forgotten. He needed the ability to harness his power properly though, and for that, he needed his alicorn form, and that was locked in a tomb of stone. He would be too if he didn’t force his soul out of the plane with a piece of his power. Just enough to reform around. And that’s how he started, bouncing from world to world, rebuilding his power from nothing to enough to rival what he had before. He got up and stretched, loosening his muscles and letting his power flow to his extremities. He looked around, seeing nothing but trees, though one started to move towards him. The timber wolf growled at him baring it's wooden teeth and getting within mere inches of Solar's face, which then smirked as he snapped his fingers, releasing a wave of plasma in a hundred foot circle of him, incinerating everything but him. Happy with his work, he looked to the sky to gauge to time, and then the direction he wished to go. After waiting a few moments, he began to head to his left, towards what he remembered to be where Ponyville once was. He knew that the sound of the blast would attract scouts, and then the race would be on. He had to reach his former body if he had any hope of keeping this form stable, or even returning to his body if worst came to worst. ____________________________________________ Four hours later… “These markings are strange…” Twilight said to Rainbow Dash. “I know what they look like Twilight. But only you or the other Princesses would know for sure if he was here.” “It looks like it, but he is still trapped in stone in Ponyville, anypony can feel his power radiating out of it. So this couldn’t be from him…” “Who else could it be? Only Solar, Princess Celestia or Flurry Heart have this kind of power!” “I know, but there could be others that we don’t know about who can harness the power of the sun. Either way, we need to get back to Ponyville and make sure nothing stops the unsealing spell.” “Fine, but we need to find out who caused what happened here.” “I agree.” Twilight said as they took off for town. ____________________________________________ Two hours later, minutes before sunset. “Friends and family,” Princess Celestia began as she looked around to those around the statue. Gathered were herself, her sister Luna, her niece Cadence and her daughter Flurry Heart, the Mane 6, the alicorn trio known as the Cutie Mark Crusaders, Queen Chrysalis, Discord, guards, and assorted ponies from Ponyville. “We are gathered here today to release our beloved Prince Solar from captivity, and hopefully he will agree to be peaceful, and not get into another disastrous fight”*she glanced at Discord as she said this, and he nervously averted his gaze* “Elements of Harmony, if you would please begin the spell.” “Yes Princess.” They said in unison, and they charged up their magic and fired at the statue. “NOOOO!!!” Chaos shouted as he broke through the crowd, firing a burst of magic in an attempt to counter the spell. *BANG* The magics collided at the statue, and the stone fell away releasing all of Chaos's former power that surged towards him, merging perfectly with the power he built up from scratch. All that remained from within the statue was a skeleton, which collapsed into a pile. “DAMNIT!” Chaos yelled as he ran to the bones and collapsed to his knees. Guards quickly surrounded him and he could almost feel their blades closing in. “Who are you?!” The Guard captain yelled at him. “Solar Chaos, former prince of Equestria. Now doomed being who will be destroyed by his own power because SOMEPONIES were in a rush to break the curse that they put on me! He yelled without looking up from the bones. “That’s impossible.” Celestia said as she walked up to him. “Look at me. Please.” He did and the golden gleam of his irises could be seen by everyone in front of him, earning a collective gasp. “How?” “I sent my soul out with a piece of my power as the spell was taking effect. I’ve spent the time rebuilding my power and taking on different forms to utilize it better. I finally built up enough to put Discord away for good, but now it doesn’t matter. In hours my power will eat away at my body and I will die for nothing…” “No… I know what to do… You were going to send your soul back into your alicorn body with your power, right?” Solar nodded. “Then what I have in mind will work perfectly, but you will need to do what I say, no matter what. Do you understand?” “Yes mother.” “Good, now let us cast the age regression spell on your bones.” “What? Why?” he asked, earning a scowl from Celestia. “Y-yes mother.” He said as he prepared to cast the spell timing it with her, until they released it in unison to his bones. Slowly, the bones began to return to life, flesh and organs reformed, and it returned to youth, until it reached foulhood. “Now! Return your soul to it!”, and he obeyed, releasing his spell and dissolving his form and forcing it into the foul. Celestia watched as it glowed golden as his soul returned home. She continued her spell until it reached a fetus, and she ended her spell, and began another quickly firing it at him, and he disappeared. “Princess! Where did he go?” Twilight asked worriedly. “Don’t you worry, he'll be just fine. He'll show up again in around nine months.” She said with a smile. “Sister! Does that mean?” “Yes, Luna, I'm carrying Solar again. And hopefully I will be able to raise him better this time…” //-------------------------------------------------------// The Rebirth //-------------------------------------------------------// The Rebirth “Push your majesty.” The doctor said in the delivery room. Celestia groaned as she pushed with all her might. She looked to Discord holding her hoof, a worried expression on his face. “I can see his head!.... Here he comes….” A foal's cry overtook the room as his head was pushed out, followed by the rest of him. “It's a colt! Oh wait… you knew that already” the doctor said with a grin as a nurse wrapped the foal in a towel and handed him to his mother. “Shhhh…. Shhhh... Oh my sweet little Solar, I'm so glad I can try to be a better mother to you…” Celestia said as the white alicorn colt in her hooves calmed down. “I suppose I should probably stick around some more to help raise him. After all, I'm partly to blame for all that happened last time…” Discord said as he rubbed the foal’s mane softly. “That is true, you could’ve been a great deal more help last time. But you are here now, and you WILL be here for him now. Got it?” “Erm… yes.” “Good.” She said as she looked back to her son, who was now sleeping in her hooves, though shivering slightly. “Tsk, he never did like the cold…” she said as she conjured up a blanket to wrap around him. Just then, knocking could be heard and the door opened up revealing a nurse. “Excuse me you’re highness, but you have quite a few ponies out here to see you.” “Family first, my little pony.” Celestia replied, receiving a nod as the nurse left for a moment and the door opened again to reveal Luna, Cadence, and Flurry Heart. “Sister! Was he born alright?” Luna asked worriedly. “Yes Luna, he was born just fine.” “Mother, is that really him?” Flurry asked her mother Cadence. “Yes sweetheart, that’s Solar.” She replied with a tear running down her cheek. “Don’t get in a rush to rut him again niece.” Luna said to Cadence. “We don’t need a repeat of last time.” “What do you mean by last time Auntie Luna?” Flurry asked. “She means the last time, we rutted every chance we could get,” Cadence answered. “And when I found out I was pregnant with you, I ended our relationship there and then, and ended up dating and marrying Shining Armor.” “You left him an incredibly vague note that broke his heart and his mind.” Celestia responded. “You knew damn well that he loved you more than anything in this world, and you stabbed him in the heart.” “I was sixteen! He was thirteen! Neither of us were ready to have a foal, let alone raise one!” “You mean Shining Armor wasn’t my father?!” Flurry cried out. “Flurry, Alicorn females can’t be impregnated by anything but a male alicorn or something with similar power. We taught you that in your biology classes.” Luna calmly told her. “So that means… Solar… is my father?” “Yes sweetheart.” Cadence said as she pulled her daughter into a hug. “I'm sorry, I thought you knew…” “Alright you two, let’s let her rest.” Luna said as she led everypony out of the room. *sigh* “They are quite a hoof-fool, aren’t they sweetheart?” Celestia whispered to her foal while rocking him gently. “I expect that we'll see some more of them soon enough…” As she said this, the Mane 6 and Chrysalis trotted into the room. “Told you.” She whispered to Solar as she placed a kiss on his nose, earning a coo from him. “Princess! Congratulations!” Twilight cheerfully shouted, causing Solar to cry in his mother’s hooves. “oopsie…” “Twibright, you need to calm down my faithful student.” Celestia said sternly as she rocked Solar back to sleep, shushing him softly as she did so. “S-sorry princess…” Twilight said as she waited for the colt to drift back to sleep. “It's alright, Twilight. You've just got to remember to be quiet around newborn foals. You're over a thousand years old now, do you understand?” “Yes Princess…” “He looks so darling!” Rarity squealed quietly. “I can’t wait to start designing outfits for him!” “Just make sure they're practical, Rarity.” Applejack said. “He'll want to play outside if his memories don’t come back.” “Of course, darling. I know how foals are. You recall, I've had a few myself before we realized the Elements gave us longevity, correct?” “I can’t wait to teach him how to fly!” Rainbow Dash said. “I'll have to take some time off from running the country’s weather to do so, but it'll be so worth it!” “And I'm going to throw him the biggest, biggest, most amazing parties every year on his birthday!” Pinkie Pie said as quietly as she could. “Just try not to teach him how to do all the stuff you can do, darling. He'll be obscenely powerful as it is without breaking reality for fun. Remember that it took all six of us, the Royal sisters, Cadence, Chrysalis, a thousand changelings, and two hundred unicorns to keep him from killing Discord.” “Please don’t bring that up.” Fluttershy said. “My husband was nearly lost that day, and I would much rather forget that time.” “Agreed.” Chrysalis said. “My hive was nearly depleted of love after that fight. Most of it given to me by Solar.” “And some from the other mares in his herd.” Celestia said with a smile. “That is true.” Chrysalis said as she trotted to Celestia’s bedside, placed a kiss on Solar's forehead, then shared a short one with Celestia. “Mmm, delicious. Come all, let us let her rest.” She said as she led the others out. Celestia waited for the door to close and locked it with her magic. “Alright you, time to eat.” She said as she used her magic to float him down to her teats, and she felt him nuzzle her until he found his food source, latched on and began feeding. “You really are cute again… I just hope you don’t turn against us again… Last time we barely stopped you… I don’t know that we could stop you now that you doubled your power… Hopefully I will be able to raise you properly this time so it doesn’t happen again…”
