The Daughter Of Queen Novo
Katie Jones hummed as she wrote her retirement note. She smiled as she finished."And done!Now I can relax!". She brushed her brown hair out of her eyes,and smiled,her blue eyes glowing.
She danced around the room,laughing. It was the day she quit at CHS,then she could focus on better things,such as fulfilling her dream to become a Marine Biologist.
She sat down on her bed as she thought about what was in store for her. She never thought about marriage or having kids. She only focused on getting out of this living underworld. She was put into foster care when she was 5,and her foster dad never payed attention to her. She kept to herself,and just worked on becoming a marine biologist and getting a new house. But she just became a teacher.
She sighed as she walked out of the door,and walked to CHS. Better turn in her retirement plans before summer break. After she turned in her note,she walked out of the school. She looked at the CHS statue.It was repaired a week ago,and still had the magic.
She walked up to it."I wonder.....". She reached out a hand,and touched it.It glowed,and she smiled. "Just one small peek wouldn't hurt....".
She stepped in the portal,smiling. Everything seemed to spin,and make her dizzy. She landed on the ground with a thud,and she opened her eyes. She was on a sandy beach,and she saw a majestic mountain. She gasped in awe.
She heard flapping behind her. She turned around,only to have spears pointed at her. She yelped,eyes wide. What seemed like....7 bird-horses were wearing armor and pointing spears at her. She fell backwards,scared.
One of the strange creatures was about to spear her,when a female voice yelled "STOP!!!". She looked up to see another of these creatures land in front of her. Only this one was a female,and Katie presumed that she was the boss here. The female looked down at her,her eyes full of curiosity. Katie gulped,full of fear.
The female smiled and asked "Who are you,and what are you?". Katie stuttered out "K-Katie J-Jones,and I'm a human.". The female smiled as she said "And I am Queen Novo,the ruler of the Hippogriffs.". Katie stood up,and bowed to Queen Novo. Queen Novo smiled as she raised an eyebrow at Katie.
Katie smiled back at her,feeling more safe than back at CHS. Queen Novo motioned for the guards to leave,and smiled at Katie. Katie said "Your majesty,I was only passing through.If you wish for me to leave,I understand.". Queen Novo said "You are welcome here anytime,Katie. I can sense that you are good,kind,and responsible.".
Katie smiled,and nodded. Queen Novo pointed at the portal,meaning that she should return to her world. Katie waved goodbye,before she jumped in,and returned to Earth.
Two years later,Katie returned to Mount.Aries ,but something seemed off about her. Her stomach was rounder,and she looked stressed. Her blue eyes were full of guilt,and she was wearing a long yellow dress. Novo smiled as she walked up to greet her. But Katie only sighed,before she said "I need to tell you something.".
Novo asked "What is it?",worried. Katie had tears in her eyes as she said "I need to tell you something.". Novo raised her eyebrows,wanting her to tell her already. Katie sighed ,unsure. She then gathered enough courage to tell Novo.
"I'm pregnant.". Queen Novo shouted "What!?Pregnant!?Really!?". Katie nodded. Novo hugged her. "I am so happy for you!".
Katie smiled for a brief second. As Novo led her towards the castle while talking about what to name the infant,she felt a small pain in her chest. She winced,but brushed the pain away. After all,she was going to become a mother. No time to worry about pains.
4 months later,Katie was due any day now,and she was cranky. The poor guards and servants were usually on the receiving end of her tantrums, but she quickly apologized. She and Novo were closer than ever,and she finally told Novo how she became pregnant. After she returned to Earth,she decided to celebrate her retirement and go to the bar. There,she met the most handsome man she ever had seen.
His name was Jackson Malcom,a teacher at Crystal Prep. He had blonde hair that ended at his shoulders,and deep blue eyes. They drank,they laughed,they danced. They went to his apartment,and Katie couldn't remember the rest. She and Novo assumed things got a little too crazy there,and she got pregnant.
Katie often sang lullabies when she felt a kick,and they soon learned the baby was going to be a girl. Katie decided to name the baby Alana,after her father named Alan. Katie decided to go out for a walk. Queen Novo said "Don't go too far!". Katie said "Don't worry;I won't." as she walked away.
Queen Novo carried on with her royal duties,but soon got worried about Katie's safety. What if she got stuck in quicksand? What if she ran into Timberwolves? What if she was killed by robbers!? What if she fell down, and hurt her and the baby?!
She heard a scream from the forest. Katie! She dropped what she was doing,and flew in that direction. A couple of hours later,she landed near a cave. She looked around,trying to find her friend.
Katie was resting her head on a log,panting. She had her hand on her stomach,and she wailed in pain. Novo rushed to her side."Katie!". Katie screamed "The baby's coming!".
Novo said "Ok,just relax.Calm down,and push.". Novo let Katie hold onto her claw as she pushed. Katie screamed in pain. She felt blood seep onto her yellow dress. She pushed one last time,and she could hear a baby cry loudly.
"It's a girl!" Novo said,smiling. Katie smiled,feeling all energy gone. Her eyes could barely stay open,her limbs limp. All that she could do is close her eyes,and let the darkness carry her away. Novo looked at her,and frowned. "Katie?Katie!". She grabbed her wrist,and pulled back with a gasp. Katie's skin was cold to the touch,and she was as pale as snow.
"No....No!". Queen Novo realized that she just lost her best friend. The baby in her arms began to cry,wanting attention. She looked at the newborn human,and held her closer to her heart. "I couldn't save her.But I will save you,Princess Alana The First.".
Novo swore she saw the baby smile for a second. She then buried Katie's body,and marked the grave with a large stone. She then flew back to Mount.Aries to show her subjects their new princess.
