Prologue: Magic?View OnlineWhen Runes ComePrologue: Magic?Hello everyone! Jake here, and I'm here to tell my story of how I became a hero of sorts. so let's start this from the beginning. before I was brought to the land of Equestria! It was dark outside because of a huge thunderstorm and before you ask, no I was at a friend's house with my group. We were going to go play Kingdom Hearts all in the same house so we could all help the other in an instant. And of course we went to the rich friends house because the mansion plus all the money equals really fast internet. So we are in the gaming room which was sixteen meters wide and eleven meters long. There was every console in here from the Sega Genesis to the Xbox One, to the handheld ones as well as the three different VR sets. Anyway i was helping Tracy set up his account and everything on the computer while Will was helping Tommy set up. We are all so excited we could barely sit still. While we set up some stuff we were talking about our childhood together. Tommy is the Mexican of the group with him knowing a little Spanish. He had black hair and stood at my guess 5'10 with tan skin. He wore a black T-shirt that had 'U MAD BRO?' on the front. He wore dark blue jeans with blue tennis shoes. Tracy's natural hair was brown but he dyed it a red color and stood at 5'6. He had on a red shirt with a skull on it that was on fire with a deep blue flame. He had some blue shorts that had a red stripe on the side. He had on red Nike that had blue strings and the Nike sign was a sky blue. He was born in Canada before his family moved here for family. Will is born in the USA like me. Will constantly wore a fancy suit that was a royal blue with a white undershirt and a black bow tie. And instead of being snobbish like other noblemen he always puts others before him. He also wore leather shoes that is ocean blue. The only difference between us is I'm a little darker than him, he is basically a cracker with how white his skin is, whereas my skin is between white and tan. Also he had brown hair while I had black-brown hair I was wearing a T-Shirt that is red with blue stripes. My shorts were black with grey lining on the sides. and I wore my favorite shoes which were red and black sneakers. but my favorite part of my ensemble was my hat which had flames designed on it (I am always the pyromaniac of the group, fire was to beautiful.). We were excited to play through it. Once we started it up I had gotten the first turn. which was the glass arenas. we all wanted a challenge so I picked the shield and got rid of strength. 3 Hours Later I was on my computer setup while the others were asleep and was looking through the internet when suddenly an email appeared. I got curious so i opened the email and the email asked if I liked kingdom hearts. I then replied with a yes and asked who this was. I waited 30 seconds before I got a response asking what I would choose to keep and loose. I chose to keep strength and lost the magic as I did my first play-through, I suddenly got sent a picture of runes by the email. then everything blacked out. P.O.V. Luna I was sitting at my balcony when suddenly there was a bright flash of light in the sky. When I looked closer it looked to be a figure falling out of the sky without wings. I quickly took off and tried to get there as quickly as possible. It was certainly a close call but I caught him before he hit the ground. I started to rush him to the infirmary wing when a shadow with yellow eyes appeared. I very quickly summoned my scythe and rushed the shadow. The shadow started to come at me as well. I went to swing but he went into the ground to dodge my attack and crawled around. I then saw he was going after the pony I saved and tried to attack when suddenly the figure opened their eyes and summoned a weird weapon that was shaped as a key. Before I could recover they swung their weapon at the shadow. the shadow dodged then attacked. I then got out of my stupor and swung my scythe at the shadow which cleaved it in half before it dissipated into smoke. "Thanks for keeping the heartless off of me while I recovered! now i need to get going before more try to find me and kill you for hanging with me so-"the figure started before he passed out. I sighed and continued to drag him in my levitation spell. when we got to the castle I had gotten to the infirmary so the doctor could check on him. while on the way there I ran into Tia and i caught her up while i was going through the events in my head of what transpired. "Hey Sister what should we do about this situation that is happening? should we try to help them take care of whatever these Heartless are or should we be more cautious about all of them even though the Heartless seemed interested in this pony?" I asked cause i never thought i would be making a decision like this so soon. and by the look of sister's face shes having trouble deciding before. "We should try to help him through this. even if we get caught up in this mess it would be better than him going lonely just to try to protect us. i just wonder what happened to make him fall out of the sky earlier?" Tia said as we went to the reception. Five Hours Later P.O.V Jake I was starting to come to consciousness when I suddenly jumped up and fell down in so much pain. "Who hit me with that truck?" I asked myself as i sat up. "Ah, glad to see your up. but what is this truck you talk about?" someone said causing me to look up at my surroundings. noticing how bright it was I new it was day. then I noticed a... anthro? yes but why does she have a horn and wings? "Yes I know I'm sexy now what happened exactly last night?" the anthro woman asked she has blue fur and a Mane that looked like the night sky that flowed with non-existing wind with the tail the same way. and a beautiful royal purple gown. with what looked to be a crescent moon on the shoulder of the gown. "Uh... kinda hard to explain to a pretty mare way to pretty." I said to her while assuming she was an anthro of a horse or pony. She giggled while a light blush crept up my face and turned away. "What do you mean last night anyways I don't remember anything that happened last night?" I said while she looked at me incredulously while sighing "last night you appeared from a teleport or something a hundred meters into the sky and would've hit the ground if I didn't see the flash.and then this shadow with yellow eyes attacked you." she said as I turned with a flash of my head it hurt and looked at her wide eyes. Then I checked myself for injuries and found none. releasing a breathe that I held from hearing that. "Right now you are in Canterlot Castle with my sister and I. So you are safe for the time being." "No you don't understand the predicament right now. I need to leave before the heartless come and take more people away." I said as i hurriedly got up. only to fall into this persons grip before I could take another step. "Whoa easy now. there is no threat that we aren't able to beat on our own. and besides what makes you think we are in danger with the royal guard to protect us. they have been trained for threats of any stature. you are before a princess right now." she stated with a little pride as my shock finally wore off. "Oh that's not good. I'm out of the shock of the situation." I stated before I started hyperventilating into the brown bag that was summoned for me while she tried her best to sooth me. I then blacked out from situational overload. Author's Note hey there everyone! sorry if this fanfic is bad. it's the first one i made. so please take it easy on the comments. anyway this is a project for my free time. so i'll update it whenever. it may be a week to a month for me to do this.
chapter 1: trainingView OnlineWhen Runes Comechapter 1: trainingThere was darkness everywhere. No matter where I looked, it was void of anything. So I did the rational thing and walked forward. Then I am standing on a glass circle. And it had eleven different people on it with what I guess their names under them. And five of them had wings and horns. I decided Alicorn until I get the actual name. There is two without wings or horns. One has a horn. While the last two had wings. The North side is where the Alicorns was the mare I talked to earlier. Her name is Luna and has the picture of the moon on it again. To Luna's left is a white Alicorn with a red mane. Her name is Faust and has a picture of an ink quill. To Faust's left is a white Alicorn with a rainbow pastel mane. Her name is Celestia and has a picture of the sun on her. To the left of Celestia is a purple Alicorn with a purple mane that had a magenta line in it. Her name is twilight sparkle and has a picture of six stars on her. To the right of Luna is a pink Alicorn with a pink mane that has a darker shade of pink and a blue line in it. Her name is Mi Amore Cadenza and has a picture of a crystalline heart with what looks like gold placeholders. The South side of the glass had the rest non-Alicorns. The one in the middle is a white unicorn with a purple mane. Her name is Rarity and her picture is of three gemstones. To Rarity's left is a yellow Pegasus with a pink mane. her name is Fluttershy and her picture is of three butterflies. To Fluttershy's left is a blue Pegasus with a rainbow mane. Her name is Rainbow Dash and her picture is a cloud with a rainbow lightning bolt coming from it. To Rarity's right is a orange pony with a blonde mane. Her name is Applejack and her picture is of three apples. To Applejack's right is a pink pony with a darker pink poofy mane. Her name is Pinkie Pie and her mark is of three balloons. And in the center of it all is me with ten different keyblades circling me. with weird symbols surrounding me and the ponies. then a white flash happened and there is a door above Faust's picture. I went up to it and opened the door and noticed everything fade to white. in front of me is a person in a Black robe. "Hello?" I called out. The figure turned his head to look at me. then darkness started swallowing them. I was stunned. I never seen anything like this. The next thing I know I jump out of the bed and fell over. I hear someone walking over to check on me. "Are you alright?" Luna asked. I looked up to her. "I'm alright. it happens all the time." I say casually "The only thing that changed is that someone asked me if i'm alright instead of laughing." i said with a chuckle. she giggled at the joke. "Well, what are you waiting for? get up, We're going to see my sister." Luna said then all of a sudden looked back. "Oh yeah. forgot to introduce myself. I'm princess-" "Luna." i said interrupting her. She looked shock that i knew and looked at me with a curious glance. "How did you know my name?" Luna asked. "Well the dream I just had has something to do with it but it only showed two Alicorns. you are called Alicorns, aren't you?" I asked and she looked intrigued. "You are correct but like I was saying before you passed out. there are four Alicorns. and since Alicorns are nearly extinct. we are called royalty." she said and left me thinking. Who was the fifth Alicorn then? As I was lost in thought I ran into a door. getting a snicker out of Luna and the guards. "You could have warned me. but apparently i'm not worth the effort." I whined. showing my true side a little bit. I may be seventeen years old. but deep down i'm a ten year old. "I'm sorry but I did say watch out." Luna said. Dang, if I was that deep in thought I would be in danger. "What were you thinking about? It must have been important if you were in deep thought like that." Luna asked and i shook my head. "Don't worry about it. it wasn't as important an-" I froze mid-sentence. the others looked at me while I looked around quickly. "Shit, I thought I had more time." I said and broke into a full on sprint towards the throne room. when i barged in i saw the heartless surrounding Celestia. I quickly summoned my keyblade and threw it into the heartless. it cleave half their number. they all looked at me and charged. When my keyblade returned to me. I noticed the Celestia just sat there." get you ass over here unless you wanna die, dammit!" She broke out of her shock to teleport to me just as an heartless swung at her "Thank you for saving me. their more immune to magic then possible." She said. When I took one out with ease I turned and saw Luna and the guards alive. but they were out of breathe. "Bout time you guys came. protect Celestia. I got the heartless." I said as i turned and charged into the horde. Which surprised everyone but me. I had a plan and I needed to be in the center of the room. That is when thing started getting difficult. In the middle was a bunch of Neo-Shadows. when I got to the middle I did something that left me empty inside. I went for it. I tried for valor form. and I felt my fury rise. Then in a flash I used bright bomb. I used my light to kill darkness. Honestly I'm surprised I'm still conscious. then I fell to the floor laughing like a maniac. When the others heard my laughter their shock turned to confusion." I'm sorry for my breakdown there. but that was the first time i used that move." I said when i calmed down. their expression turned surprised. "Wait that bright light was you!?" Luna yelled. The others looked at each other before they sighed. "Well at least your safe sister." Luna said. then they registered I knew Celestia's name. Then they looked at me. "How did you know my sister's name? Was it the dream you had earlier?" Luna asked so I did the correct thing. "Sure did. Though she looked more majestic in the glass picture. But the picture doesn't describe your beauty correctly." I said as the smooth talker I am. totally not freaking out by saying that out-loud at all. and Celestia blushed. then I realized something. "Forgive my rudeness. I'm Jake, at your service." I finished with a bow. "Now then if you need me. I'll be figuring out where the world heart is located at. so see you all later." I said and walked to the library. leaving the others confused. 3 Hours later "That's it! I give up!" I yelled and tossed my hands up. While I walked out the door and into a purple Alicorn. "Oh hello there cutie." I said then slapped myself while the girl in front of me blushed. "Sorry. I don't control my mouth half the time. Anyways, my name's Jake. What's yours?" I asked but I already knew it was twilight. "My name is Twilight Sparkle. But do you mind explaining why you yelled?" she asked. "Oh sure. i need to find a location on this world that has a key hole in the world. It'll protect this world from darkness." I said while she raised a hand to her face in thought. then shrugged. "No idea what your talking about." She said and I stopped and sighed. So we waved bye to each other and I left. Searching for where the guards train so I can train more. half an hour later "AHA!" I yelled and scared the guards. they all looked at me confused. "I challenge your commander to a fight." Said while the commander stepped forward. instead of the usual gold armor. this guy has purple armor. "I accept." He said and the guards ran towards the ring and one got onto it. "the usual rules. no magic and no lethal attacks. Begin!" yelled the ref. We charged at each other. I Dodged the swing and hit his back. It was of little use because he has armor on. It made him stumble forward though. He then turned and tried to hit me on the head. I blocked it and sparks flew. We looked at each other then i smirked and kicked his chest. He flew a foot before he stopped himself. But left him open then I rushed and punched his face. Knocking him out. The guards that were watching cheered and clapped. Then I Heard a familiar voice."That was quite the show you put up." I looked up and waved. "Hello princesses. Hope you don't mind I trained here. but those heartless get a lot stronger than the throne room incident." I said. Everyone looked at me in shock. Even the guards. I guess that word spreads fast around here. "Wait what do you mean they are harder than that!?" Luna asked. panicking while I watched. and chuckled. "That wasn't enough to be challenging. to you it might. But since I have a keyblade. It's easy for me. Be happy that it wasn't a darkside. I can't beat it unless i get help from someone." I said and walked away to the garden. Leaving everyone to their thoughts until Luna decided to come with me. She caught up to me and saw me looking out from under the tree at the sunset. Where the stars were just showing. "It's rude to sneak up on people you know." I said. She jumped and looked away blushing. I chuckled at her reaction. I then looked up at the night sky. "I like the night more than day time. It's more calming to look at."I said making her blush. while i laid on the grass looking into the sky. P.O.V. LUNA He fell asleep then and there. I chuckled and looked up. Then I felt the same feeling as before. This heat in my chest. Am I falling for him?
chapter 2: Inner DemonsView OnlineWhen Runes Comechapter 2: Inner DemonsP.O.V Jake I get out of the bathroom to see Twilight at the door. she was sporting a huge blush. I looked down and noticed i wasn't wearing clothes. then i looked at her. "Get out of here!" I yell and she booked it. I then sighed and got dressed in my usual outfit with the excepting of me adding a hat to it. I then decided to explore the castle. While I was walking Twilight walked up to me. "So what are you? I noticed that you don't look like us ponies." She ask and pointed at my lack of a muzzle and tail. "I'm a human. We are omnivores as we need a certain protein from meat. Have you guys always had heartless around here?" I ask as we pass the garden. she put her hand on her chin and did what i think was thinking. "Not really. The closest we have to that was King Sombra. As he was already doing dark magic." She said. We step into the dinning room to see Celestia and Luna. "Sup you two" I said as we approach. I noticed Twilight glaring at me while she bowed. "Ah, there you two are. we were beginning to wonder if you got lost." Luna said while Celestia waved. I wasn't that hungry. so as I was sitting there going through my thoughts. Celestia, Luna, and Twilight ate and discussed stuff. I noticed they were looking at me. "Yes?" I ask them. "Are you okay? Your crying." Twilight said as i sighed and wiped the tears away. "Its nothing to worry about. Just some personal issues." I say and get up. "I'm gonna walk around." I tell them as i leave. P.O.V Luna We watched as Jake left the room then turned to each other. "I think we should help him get through this." Celestia said and we nodded. "I'll go catch up to him and see if i can get him to talk about it." With that said i got up and left to find him. I then saw a pair of guards turn the corner and waved. "Have you seen Jake come through here?" I asked them. "We saw him enter the garden. he looked ready to cry." He said in concern as i thank them and go towards the garden. When i got to the garden I noticed he was next to a tree. looking up at the sky. "Hey, you okay?" I ask him. he looks at me and i noticed a mask he put on. "I'm okay." he said. he turns to look up some glint in his eye caught my attention. something I see in my eyes everytime I feel lonely. I sigh and say "Bullshit your not okay." He looked at me surprised. "I can see it in your eyes. your lonely and need someone to help you." He sighs and shakes his head while chuckling. "Damn. I thought i would get away with it. Yes i'm lonely. i Barely had friends. then i got dragged into this mess and lost those friends." He said. I felt pity for him. he looks like he is just out of school. maybe he didn't even finish school. "We are more alike then you know friend." I told him as i sat down onto the ground. "Do you know about nightmare moon?" I ask him. P.O.V. Jake I nodded as I remember my Niece Watched the show. she forced me to watch it with her. "I know you were her." I said as i looked at her. she looked at me in surprised, the came the fear. it was barely there but i saw it. I just smiled and said. "It still doesn't change my opinion about you. You are just a normal, I guess pony is the correct term. everyone makes mistakes. I bet Celestia has even made mistakes before. but they make you learn. And in my eyes. As long as everyone is safe. i'm happy, and that includes you." I said as i turned to the sky. what happened next surprised me. Luna kissed me. not on the cheek but on the mouth. I slowly leaned into the kiss and before i knew it we separated. We both sporting massive blushes while panting. Who knew that my love was in another world. "That was amazing." I said out loud. On this day, I felt love for the first time ever.
chapter 3: the new Blader.View OnlineWhen Runes Comechapter 3: the new Blader."You need to go faster." I said to myself as I kept swinging at the training dummy. I had attracted quite the attention with my speed. Even the captain was watching impressed. Then I did something I've seen once before. I started glowing a white aura around my body. when the glowing stopped. I was in rainbow colored clothes from a dream I had. But I kept attacking the dummy. My speed raised as well as strength and magic. Then I made a new spell, Destruction. it wiped out a 5th of the arena. "I hope you know your fixing this." the captain said. I nodded and turned. "Can you get me a doctor. I think I over did it again." I said then fell to my hands and knees. He sent a private for a doctor. 2 hours later... "Thanks doc." I said before shutting the door. this is the third time I gone over bored while training. I entered the dining room and sat down in my usual spot. The chef came in and I got my regular. Since the last five days I've been eating salad. Once i finished eating, I got up to leave only to run into Celestia. "You over trained again, haven't you?" She said more as a statement than a question. I sighed and nodded which in turn got her to shake her head. "What are we gonna do with you?" She asked. "Let me do my own thing and not worry." I said like it was the obvious answer. "Somepony has to make sure you stay healthy. otherwise, you'll collapse on your own."She said getting a laugh out of me. She looked at me like I was crazy. "Why don't you care about your health?" She asked once i calmed down enough. "You have it wrong about me. It's just, I'd rather have my friends safe then anything. Plus I gotta leave here soon. I stayed too long anyways." I said. I watched her face deflate. Then somepony screamed. I took off towards the scream. Once I rounded the corner I came face to face with three possessors. one of them is a gargoyle warrior. one is a gargoyle knight. and the other is a new one. I'll call it gargoyle mage. they surrounded a mare protecting a foal. That's when i felt it. I looked at the foal and teleported between the heartless and the ponies. I then took care of them in one swipe of the keyblade. turns out they came at the wrong time. I found a pony who could wield a keyblade if trained. i frowned before putting on a fake smile. but no one needed to know that. I looked at the ponies and saw the foal looking at me with wide eyes. "Hey you two. are you guys okay?" I asked. I needed to find out about this foal. but she was close to unlocking the keyblade. One task to much for this young one. I mean she looks twelve. "We're good thanks to you." The adult said. "Okay then. I'm Jake. nice to meet you." I said. "And i'm dusty wind. this little filly is honey duster. thank you for saving us." She said. I chuckled and leaned back. "It was nothing. just taking care of heartless." I said then looked behind me. "About time you caught up." I yelled at the approaching Celestia. she smirked "I knew you could take care of it. besides, your the only one to kill them with ease." She said. I laughed and met her halfway. "Well it's only natural I take care of it. I need to practice more. they were easy enough. But I bet there's harder ones around somewhere." I say. Celestia looked down for some reason. I decided it was nothing and shrugged. Then all of a sudden time froze around us. we looked around to try and find the culprit. Then my instinct kicked in and I pushed Celestia out of the way. then I took the hit from the enemy. which was a sword. I staggered and fell to a knee. When i looked up i saw something terrifying. It was the possessor and it took control of a guard. I got back up to strike it when suddenly the possessor flew out of the body and at me. I smirked and let him into me. The last thing I saw before entering my mind was a terrified Celestia. Author's Note And this is what is called a clifhanger. have fun 😜
chapter 4:the darknessView OnlineWhen Runes Comechapter 4:the darknessWhen I finally entered my mind I immediately charged. This was the second battle in my mind. But this time I can control what I have. So when I slashed at the heartless my blade grew bigger. He took massive damage. When he tried to leave I laughed. "This isn't my first battle in my mind. So I know a few tricks like making you trapped in me." I said. For once a heartless. A heartless! looked scared. I started cackling. and turned serious when it started to run. "Oh no you don't!" I yelled. I decided to make a AK-47 and shoot the heartless. when that was over. it fell over dead. I mean I unloaded and entire clip into it. Then I turned. "Hello buddy." a voice said. I turned in surprise and saw a person in a cloak. "So why are you hear? you aren't supposed to be here. I mean you are the person in control." He said. "What do you mean by 'I'm the person in control'?" I asked. He shook his head and sighed. "You have three pieces of the soul. Just like everyone does. There is the darkness, light, and mind. They make a soul. But they don't have something you have. and it is a second soul. Just the second soul combined with yours." He said. "So why are you telling me this?" I said. He nodded. "The reason i'm telling you is because you need my help. I'm the king of between. And I chose you as the next heir." He said. I looked at him for a long while before shrugging. He looked at me like i'm crazy. "I just told you your the next heir and you shrug it off! What do you mean!? Plenty of people would want my title!" he pretty much yelled. I laughed and said. "I've been through crazier." I said. He shook his head and sighed. "Well your time here is up. Go make sure Celestia doesn't kill us." he waved and vanished. P.O.V. Luna "Ugh, Why am I on a stone floor." Jake said. I looked up and lunged at him. "You're out!!!" I yelled as I hugged him. "Can't breath! can't breath!!" he yelled as best he could. I let him go a bit and looked at him. "Just what were you thinking! I was so worried about you when I heard a ghost like heartless entered your body!" I started scolding him like a kid. he chuckled while rubbing the back of his head. "Sorry Luna. It's just I was expecting him to come into me. So I could take him out easily." Jake said. I stared at him dumbfounded. he was expecting this? Why didn't he say anything to us? "Welp if you need me. I'm gonna go tell Celestia I'm ok." I just stood there still trying to process this info. P.O.V. Celestia I sighed as I went over the situation that I witnessed. I just couldn't get the thought out of my head. I can't even do the work I usually do because I kept thinking about how useless I was. I give up on trying to work. I went to the door and opened it to see a fist about to knock. "Oh hello Celestia." Jake said while I stared. We looked at each other for a minute before my eyes started to water. "Uh... did I do something wrong?" He asked. Then I lost it and lunged. Tackling him to the ground and hugging him. "I thought we lost you. the one who can defeat those heartless so easily. I felt so useless then and there." I said through the sobs. He hugged me back and said "I would never leave a new friend that easily. Sure not going to start now.". we sat there for a minute before getting up. I decided that I would help him any way possible. So I decided to ask him. "Can you teach me?" He looked surprised to hear that. If the look on his face said anything. Before he could respond Luna came through the door and ask. "Can you give me a keyblade?" His face then turned dumbfounded that we asked him. though I can guess he hasn't been much of a teacher. Any help he can get was an upside. "No." he said. we looked at him surprised. "I cannot let you guys have keyblades. they will ruin your lives." he said. we looked at each other. then back to him and said "I don't care.". He still looked at us. like searching for something. then he sighed and turned away. "No. I can't let you guys help. Though I appreciate the thought. The answer is still no." "Why not! it would relieve a lot of your stress!" Luna shouted. Clearly annoyed at being denied. "We could help you better!" she said "I don't want your help!" He shouted back in anger and sorrow. then it clicked. "You lost someone, didn't you?" I asked in a almost whisper. He turned to me. His anger changing to shock. Then to so much sorrow. He was holding a sea of darkness within himself. And it was starting to break. He was starting to break. At first he wiped a tear. Then he fell to his knees and started crying. He was trying to protect us from them. Not because of responsibility. But because of kindness. "Just leave the subject, please." It was hard to hear. And I barely heard it. But I looked at Luna and nodded. we looked back and I said. "Then teach us." He looked up with shock plastered all over his face. We smiled and nodded to him. then he sighed and looked away while saying "Why won't you leave this subject alone?". "It's because we're worried about you." He turned and said "I'm nothing special. Just your average person with a average skill. And while I appreciate what-" he stopped. We looked at him worried. then he stood up and jumped. "Celestia, Luna get out of here." He said before something struck him from the side. Forcing him into a wall. "Jake!" We both yelled and check for what could have hit him. Then I sensed something from the side and leaped back. I saw something flicker in and out in front of me. so the enemy is invisible. then darkness spewed out towards the heartless. a darkness that I've never felt before. then I blacked out. P.O.V. Jake "No you don't!" I yelled at the stealth sneak as it went for Luna. I smacked it in the back of the head and ran. I knew it was after me. After all I opened my heart a little. as i ran dodging punches from the heartless. I yelled out "Guards! Open the door to the training grounds! Heartless after me and it's a tough one!" I then turned the corner to the training grounds. I see the guards open the door when I reach them. "Close the door behind me and the stealth sneak!" I yell as I pass and jump over another attack. Once outside I turn 180 towards the stealth sneak and fired water at it. All the while dodging left and right until the SS revealed itself. When I see him turn visible. I smiled and threw all my darkness out. Summoning three more SS's out. then I pulled out a secret weapon I've kept hidden, the keyguns. I jump up and to the left and started shooting the left one since it was closer. I'm keeping my heart open a little to keep the SS attracted but not enough to summon more. While I was shooting the left one. The right SS started to slowly creep up behind me. for a 'surprise attack'. I turn around and blast twenty shots at it before I basically teleported to it and shot the last ten into the stomach sending it flying. Then I turned and shot ten at the left one while I moved to the middle SS. I switched to a keyblade and then hit the heartless in the eye stunning it. Then I chose to go valor form. In one hand is oblivion while the other hand has the ultima keyblade. Then I wailed on it until it died. I turned towards the left SS and charged and wailed. I reverted as soon as i struck the last blow. Then I jumped to the left to dodge the swing the last SS did. when I turned I aimed at it with my keyblade and casted thundaga. While it was stunned I threw my keyblade at it. Killing it in record time. Author's Note sorry it took me a while. had a lot of work to do recently. will try to upload next chapter sooner
chapter 5: decisionView OnlineWhen Runes Comechapter 5: decision P.O.V. Jake I'm in my bedroom the princesses gave me and was thinking over their request. They never left the subject alone. Even if I say no every time they ask. The next day they ask the same question of 'will you teach us?'. I honestly don't know why they keep asking the question. *knock* "It's me." Celestia said from the other side of the door. I look at the clock to see it is 9:43 AM. "Come in!" I yell through the door. The door gets the golden aura of Celestia's magic and opens up. "How come you weren't at breakfast this morning?"Celestia asked. While she asked I see Luna at the door hiding behind it. I chuckle and say "I lost track of time. Thinking about certain events. But the answer is still no, I'm not going to give you guys a keyblade Luna.". They went wide eyed When her name was called. She peaked around the corner and asked. "How did you know I was here?" "Your tail wasn't all the way behind the door." She looked down sheepishly. Celestia was still stunned so I snapped my fingers in front of her face. officially pulling her back into reality from the daydream she was having. "Anyways, is there something else you guys were coming here for? Or were you guys coming here to ask the question." I said. "We were wondering why you won't teach us so we can help you. We just feel so bad that you have to do all the work."Celestia said, looking down and remembering when I got possessed. My heart ached for me to tell them yes and teach them. But I know better than to trust my heart on this matter. I look out the window and sigh. "Because wielding a keyblade means dying yourself. If you don't die from heartless then you will die from the nobodies or the unversed. And you also have to be able to put your life before an innocent's life. and if a heartless has a heart in it then most likely a nobody needs to die for the person that died to come back." I told them. To say they were shocked was a understatement. Luna was the first one to snap out of the shock. "Then why did you become a keyblade wielder?" She asked. They both look at me while waiting for me to say what happened. "...I didn't chose to." I said. They both looked confuse by my answer. Then I notice Luna piece together the puzzle and not long after Celestia too. They both let out a gasp and look to me with sadness. "Don't ask me to train you. It would take to much. I wasn't even out of school when I got this keyblade. All because the heartless was after me and my heart..." Then the dam broke open as tears started running down my face. I turn away from them and looked out the window. When I felt two sets of wings on my back, I knew they were hugging me. 'All that comes from being a keyblade wielder is destruction. No matter how hard you stop it. All the friends you ever make will die. Over and over the process will repeat.' Then one final thought entered my head before I fell asleep in their arms. 'I'm so tired of fighting'. Author's Note Sorry for the short chapter. but im struggling between some things that are happening right now so might be a while before i write next chapter.
Chapter 6: ReunionView OnlineWhen Runes ComeChapter 6: ReunionIt was the evening when I woke up. I felt something touching my shoulder. I turned face to face with Luna. The only one that ever seems to make my day a little brighter. Then I remembered this mourning and turned to the window. I looked out to the city when a person hiding in a ally started running across the street. I narrowed my eyes to follow until the figure moved to a different ally way. Turning around to make sure Luna was asleep, which she was, I took a piece of paper and wrote a little note saying 'I will be right back'. In the ally the stranger entered was two more people. I wasn't going to outright ditch the human speaking. so when they were talking with human ways like 'everybody' instead of 'everypony' started to tell me they were more humans. I summoned my keyblade and jumped down in between the three of them. "Who the hell are you three and what are you doing here?" I asked. I needed to be sure that the ponies that i was protecting weren't in any trouble. I wasn't going to hurt them unless they charge and attack. I just didn't trust them. "We don't mean any trouble, sir. But we arrived the other day and we are searching for someone." The guy said. now since i'm closer i can see that two are female and one guy. but why are they familiar? "Can you help us find him? He has short black hair, Is Caucasian, Around 5'9, And his name is Jake." When they said my name I had to check. "Was his favorite game kingdom hearts?" I asked. I told my parents my favorite game was KH. so when they nodded I dropped my keyblade and turned. "Follow me and I will explain everything." They looked at me weird and then looked to each other and shrugged at my emotionless response. I needed to keep in control of my emotions. While walking to the castle I ran into a recent friend. His name is fancy pants and at first I almost laughed. So when he bumped into me on the street we exchanged apologies and went on our separate ways. I got to the castle and walked to the front gates where two guards were waiting. "Don't worry about my guests. they will stay with me and they are safe." I said as I walked by. they nodded and saluted. I saluted back and entered the castle with my family behind me. when we were half way towards the dining room I pulled a maid aside "Get the princesses and tell them i have brought important guests." Then the maid walked away. When we entered the dining room and told them to sit down anywhere besides the three big chairs. "Would you guys like anything to eat while we wait for the royalty?" "What do you have? We haven't had the most experience with this situation." Mom asked. Though by the fact they haven't crowded me with questions that they haven't figured out I was their son which is not to surprising. "I go for salad as we are in a world of anthro ponies. Within the castle right now are Princess Celestia and Princess Luna." I told them with the simplest of answers. "Don't be surprised that meat is a delicacy. griffons bring their own meat. So be prepared to go vegan." I told them and then waited while they all nodded to the salad. I left for the kitchen and got them to fix four salads with no hay or flowers like I usually have. and told them the private dining room. "And now we wait for your food. also nice try Luna. But your not about to scare me so easily." I called her out. making her appear and pout like a child. which made me chuckle and ruffle her head. "So what have you called me here for? Does it have something to do with the guests at the table?" She asked as I scratched her ear. Making her lean closer for more affection. "Yep. But you'll have to wait for Celestia." I said. When I stopped scratching behind her ear she groaned her disappointment. When everyone that had a salad finished Celestia walked through the door looking surprised to find three guests. "Whelp, Now that your here we can begin with introductions. The older human female is Jaine, The younger human is Maria, While the male human is Gregory." When I Said their names the family became shocked and looked at me. " And allow me to introduce us Celestia. The one with white fur is Celestia, The one with blue is Luna, And then there's me. let me refresh your guys's memory, I'm Jake, The missing family member you guys were missing." I said while bowing. shocking everyone in the room. "So when is the part you royal sisters start to kick my lovable ass because of the fact I didn't add your titles? And when should I run?" I asked while noticing that the sisters are a little pissed I didn't say the titles. "So this is where you have been?" Mom asked as she stared at me still a little shocked. and then I'm gone. the sisters are chasing after me because I disrespected them in front of the family of mine. Author's Note sorry i haven't posted in a while but schoolwork caught up to me where it was to hard to do anything like write and to relax. I also had to study for the ACT but now im back and ready to make this more of a good thing.
Chapter 7: backstoryView OnlineWhen Runes ComeChapter 7: backstoryIt was around dinner time when I got to see my family again. Though it wasn't for the sisters that were chasing me. It was because after the chase I went back to training. Taking on heartless is easy enough. But when the heartless is coming from all angles its hard to keep up. It's also hard to keep the fact I'm worried about my family being here a secret. After all if they came here and have keyblades then I'll have to train them while keeping the royal sisters away from keyblades. so it'll be near impossible and I will most likely have to teach five people at once. When I finally notice everyone was staring at me I asked "What?". "We wanted to hear about the Heartless situation from you since you knew the game better than us." My sister re asked. I was confused but went with it. "Well so far every week there has been an attack. either on me or someone with..." I said when I came to a realization that they are here because of the fact that I brought this world the way to defend it from Heartless. They have been attacking everyone with the ability to wield the weapon. When I froze the sisters looked around. "It's nothing. I just found a connection to the attacks. So I'll take my leave now." I said. When I Stood up my Mom followed, leaving everyone confused. We reached the training room where I summoned my keyblade and swung at the Dummy in front. when I finished swinging and took a deep breath. Mom came to me and hugged me. I almost cried then, but it's hard to cry when you've mostly cried so I just hugged her back. "What's wrong Jake? And don't say it's nothing cause I know better." She stated. I chuckled and looked at her. "I realized that I brought the heartless here to this world. They wouldn't have appeared if i ignored that stupid email." I said. I wanted to cry so much right now. but it became hard to do. "What are you talking about? How could you bring them here when you yourself couldn't predict something like this. Would you rather someone else come in your stead?" She asked. "No! I don't want anyone else here at the moment." I replied. thinking about who might have replaced me. "Then prove that you don't want to leave. show me that you want to stay." She said as she pulls out two wooden swords from her bag. the thing about us was our mom taught us how to sword fight. while our dad showed us how to fence. when she threw me a wooden sword, I catch it and begin circling Mom. While mom is circling me as well. We analyze each other to see how much of a difference in our experience changed us. While Mom is still a fully inexperienced fighter for her life. I grew accustomed to the lifestyle of survival. She knew I was better than before. She was more wary than before my arrival here. P.O.V. Jaine (Mother) When I saw the Stance of my son lower I realized he has a chance to beat me now. No one could stand a chance against me before all this happened. Now my son is able to stand a chance against me. And to not feel proud of him would mean you are dead. Especially when you are the mother that trains the kids. "3." We tense up. "2" we circle each other. "1" The look in his eyes change. "Begin!" And he appears in front of me. he swings his sword in a downward stroke. I prairie as fast as possible. I stun him for a second. Which is enough time to hit him two times before he blocks the third. He knees me in the gut and I fall. When I stood up he goes behind me and uses the flat end to almost knock me out. since he did more damage he won. "Good job bro!" My daughter yelled to him while running at him and tackling him to the floor while laughing. "So I take this is a regular thing?" Celestia asks while watching the kids. "yep. only problem is his friends aren't here to celebrate with them. His friends loved to come and get into sword play." I said while smiling fondly at the memories. "They were so attached that if you found one friend then you would see the others not far away." The smile disappeared. "When Jake disappeared they called immediately. When I checked my emails I noticed a strange Email. my Husband and daughter told me to check it out. so I did, Behold what happened later that day. we were brought here, all together again. I bet his friends are worried about us as well. I was pretty much their second mother." I said. I was starting to cry when I looked up at the group of arms surrounding me. it was my whole family. Author's Note I'm going to be writting a lot more since im on summer break. so don't be surprised if you see longer chapters.
Chapter 8: TeachingView OnlineWhen Runes ComeChapter 8: TeachingIt is around breakfast time when I decided to figure out of my family came with their own keyblades. And I'm gonna have to give the royal sisters their own keyblades if my family has some. Might as well teach them all I know about the Heartless and their weakness. "Okay everyone. I have an announcement." I said. Everyone turning their heads to look at me mid bites. "Time to find out who I'm teaching to be a Keyblader." Everyone became wide-eyed at the thought about being taught to be a Keyblader. "So who from my family has found out if they can summon a keyblade yet?" I asked. My sister raised her hand. "*sigh* great everyone meet me at the barracks after breakfast." I say while walking out. I'm sorting through what knowledge I have on Heartless. When I bump Into someone. When I look up I see the maid that I saved before I fought the possessor. "Oh hello! I forgot to make sure you were alright when you were there. How are you after I fought the possessor?" I ask in a jolly tone. She is confused for a second before realizes I was talking about when I got possessed. "I'm doing great. How about you?" She asks. "I found my family the other day. So that is definitely something." I told her. then we say goodbye and leave. I reach the training ground when I noticed that the guards are here as well. I wave to them all as I walk in. They all waved back and continued training when suddenly the door opened. Looking up I see Discord. I knew it was discord because after all I've seen he was the most random individual. he spots me and comes over. "How are you Jakey boy? I hope your doing splendidly." He asks. I just shrug it off. "I'm getting ready to teach some lessons. If you would like you can join the student? after all it's in a subject you would like." He looks thoughtful for a second before nodding and going back to relaxing. "Sure thing buddy. especially since you training people for using keyblades. Wonder what mine would be like?" He asks me. I Just shrug and say "It's usually random." The door opens and walks in the royal sisters. every guard in here bows in respect and waits to be told to continue. behind them were my family as well as the pink Alicorn and white unicorn. "So why have you brought the crystal kingdom's rulers? Or were they pure coincidence?" They look at each other before looking back. "I'm Cadence and this is my husband and ex-captain of the guard, Shining Armor." Cadence introduces their self. "And we are here by coincidence. We just happened to get here from the train trip for our vacation." Cadence explains. I nod to show I heard before sighing. "Welp let's add two more while we're at it." I mumble to myself before putting on a smile. " If you guys are going to join in then stay beside everyone there. If your not going to then i would suggest moving out the way. Maybe behind me as it's the safest." I explain to them. they stay there and looks confused. Then I remember they don't have a clue what I'm talking about because this is the first time we met. "So they are up to date with everything, Can you cast a memory spell on them Celestia?" I ask. after the spell is cast they stayed put. So they still want to be a Keyblader then fine by me. It's more people for me to beat up and get away with it. "Since you guys are staying let's begin with the basics. The job of a keyblader is to protect the innocent. There are two ways of doing this. One way is to find the keyhole for this world and lock it. What that does is make sure the world cannot be destroyed. The next way is by keeping the world in light, but it's a hell of a lot harder. Now there are two types of heartless you guys should know about. Does anybody know those two types of heartless?" I asked. My dad raised his hand so I point at him. "Isn't it like Pureblood and Emblem?" When I nod he cheers. "Can you tell me the difference between the two types?" I ask him. "The Pureblood heartless are like the crawler. any heartless without a symbol on it usually means it's a Pureblood. while the Emblem heartless will have a heart symbol with a X running through the heart. they are usually stronger than Pureblood's by the fact they are made after someones hearts is taken." I nod. "Good job. so you guys now know the different heartless. what is the difference between heartless and nobodies?" I ask. My sister raises her hand so I point at her. "Nobodies are made when a person's heart is strong enough they leave a shell of their former self. usually made by a heartless taking the person's heart." I nod again. "How is the unversed made?" I asked. When everybody looked confused I chuckled. "Don't feel bad. they aren't around anymore. and wont be for a long time. But they are born from our negative emotions. Don't confuse darkness with negative emotions. They are drastically different because one gets stronger the more there is of something while the other doesn't." I said. "now since we have finished the explanation of the enemy of keybladers I'm going to go to each of you and tell you how to unlock you keyblade if you have one. If you don't then I will give you one." I walk up to mom and put my hand on her shoulder and concentrated. I see the potential she have and chuckle. Then I see the keyblade and am quite shocked. She has Destiny's embrace. "Hold out your hand and act like your grabbing onto to something. I'm gonna try to coerce it out of it's slumber." I tell her. That's when i heard the keyblade. "Who are you?" She asked me. (It has a girl voice FYI) "I'm Jake and you my mom's Keyblade. Can you come out so I can train her to survive?" I ask it. "You have my thanks for helping my master." I hear her say. When i open my eyes I see mom holding destiny's embrace and sigh. "One thing to note everyone is all keyblades are alive. Sometimes they choose you and sometimes they are passed down. But if you have piece in mind then you can certainly talk with them." I say as I walk up to dad. I do the same thing and notice the keyblade is dark. I see the outline and grin. "Hello oblivion. I gotta say I'm surprised you chose my dad. Since he's not the one with the most darkness." I feel the keyblade arouse. "And why are you here? are you here to take me away?" It asked as if it was a common thing. "Nope. But I kinda need you to come out so that way dad can fight against heartless." I then go to Celestia. "Who dares to enter my master?" a powerful voice asked. i look towards the keyblade and wave. "Hello. I was trying to keep your master out of this battle. but I need to have you come out so I can train her." The keyblade starts putting up a fight. which throws my to the floor. everyone gasps "Are you okay Jake? Why are you having trouble?" Celestia asks. "It's only a little problem. didn't expect the keyblade to fight back though." I mumble. Then I dust my self off and go back in. "Do you think I will lose to you weakling? Well think again." Yelled the keyblade. When It was about to thrust me out again I let out a war cry and charge the keyblade. I was shocked when I bested it after little bit. Both me and the keyblade are out of breath. "Good job Keyblade Master." Aubade said. I laughed and said "You too Aubade. But we need out of here so I can continue unlocking keyblades for other people.". The keyblade then manifested a spirit to hug me with. "For trying to keep my weilder out of the battle." It wispered before leaving. "Welp that was fun. now time for Luna." I said in a joyous voice. startling everyone at how happy I was. "What?" I ask them. "Why exactly are you happy?" My mom asked first. "Cause I got to beat the shit out of a stubborn keyblade. It releases some pent up stress that you normally cant let out." I say all cool like. creeping out some people there. then I entered Luna's soul. "Hello? Any Keyblade here?!?!" I asked the area. I hear a light mumble behind me. I turn to see a rare keyblade. "Can you please come out to help your weilder?" I asked softly. It looked like it nodded before vanishing. "And now cadence. let's see what yours is." I said as I enter her soul. I see Lady luck in the center area. "Are you here to help too?" I hear a child like voice ask. I laugh and say "I'm here to have you come see the wonderful world your about to help protect.". "Why do you need my help?" I hear it ask. "Because your master will be in trouble as I need to be elsewhere." I explain. I feel it nod and disappear. then I move onto Shining Armor. "Now where is your keyblade?" I ask the surrounding area. It shows me the correct path till I find it. "Well hello little keyblade. How would you like to help?" I ask Guardian Soul. It looks up in Approval. "I see you are worthy of training my master his way. I'll leave when ready." He says. I nod and leave. I look towards the final student, Discord. "So how long will this take?" He asks. I smile at him and say "As long you don't mess with your soul it should show me the way." I tell him while going in. In the middle of the room I'm in is the keyblade. monochrome, which makes no sense. it doesn't fit discord at all... huh, in a way it makes sense. "Hey Monochrome. can you come out so I can help you weilder train? I need to teach him cause here soon some crazy stuff is going to happen." I explain. I get kicked out of his soul and when I look up. I see Discord holding monochrome. I leap up and clap. alright stage on is done. That'll be all for tonight so everyone go do whatever. I'm gonna find someplace to sleep be boy I'm tired from Celestia's keyblade... oh try to meditate a little as well. Chapter 9: MerlinView OnlineWhen Runes ComeChapter 9: MerlinToday was a weird day because when I woke up I felt a huge magic signature that wasn't any pony/draconequus. I get dressed and rush to the source. Which was right outside the city of Canterlot. When I arrived I found someone which surprised me. "Merlin?!?! Is that you?" I ask him "Maybe. and who are you?" He asks. I'm a pretty big Merlin fan myself. "I'm Jake. Nice to meet one of my biggest inspirations to continue on with life." I told him. His spells always helped in rough situations. He laughs and pats my back. "Nice to meet you too. Now how did you know I was here? I felt someone with your Mystic signature sense my location immediately." He asked, wanting a explanation. I motion him to follow. "Well about two weeks ago I became a Keyblade weilder. And I taught myself everything I know. Even with your books on the Mystic helped." I explained. He looked at me impressed. "So why did you rush to me immediately after sensing me?" He asked. I bit my bottom lip and sighed. "My family ended up arriving here the same way I did a couple days ago. So I started teaching them everything I know about Heartless, Nobodies, Unversed, and talking with the keyblade. I'm also teaching the royalty In this world. There is only one royalty left without a keyblade." I explained the little backstory. "Now the reason I rushed to get to you is because I didn't know if you always concealed your magic or not. So since you were here I decided to try and find you." We arrived at the castle. I waved the guards down and we continued on. "The main reason on finding you is because... My weakest point in this is the Mystic arts." I mumbled the last bit, embarrassed. He heard me though and laughed. "Well I guess staying until their finished with the basics is done. while I'm at it I'll teach you a thing or two." He said while accepting my offer to teach my students. In my mind I was squealing so much. On the outside I was jumping around (Literally) excited about being taught the Mystic arts through The grand-mage. We enter the dining room where everyone was, starring at me oddly. "Guys meet your Mystic teacher Merlin." When my family doesn't recognize him I chuckle. "He is the Grand-Mage. as well as the first to get all the Mystic art down to the T." "So what is the difference between magic and Mystic arts?" I hear Celestia ask. but before I could speak up Merlin cut me off by explaining. "Well magic is used by people that have magic in the world. Passive magic in this world are in everything here. But the only Ponies able to use magic are Unicorns and Alicorns. While Mystic arts can be used by anybody that have a Keyblade." I clapped and did the 'Ta Da' pose "This is why he's your teacher for this stuff because i understood half of it." I exclaimed which made everyone chuckle. I bet you they are trying to imagine me trying to teach them because half the people here flinched. "Enough standing here Merlin. Sit down while I grab something for us to eat. Get to know the students." I said as I walk away. Before I fully closed the door I peaked back in and yelled "No pranks Discord!" As i closed the door I heard Discord whistling. 2 Hours Later In the training grounds "So what is first on the list?" I asked. He looked at me and commanded I shot a fireball. After I imagine shooting a fireball I yelled "Firaga!". And I shot my best one, Just as he commanded. He nodded. "Your stance is a little sloppy but pretty well for being self-taught." I beam at his praise. Making the princess look at me like I'm sick. "Are you okay Jake? We have never seen this side of you before. Have any of you?" Celestia asked. everyone but Merlin shook their head. "Well of course I'm okay. But you gotta understand I was self taught. You kinda have to expect me to be happy at complements from an expert." Everyone nods in understanding. Though Merlin knew the other part of why I'm so happy. "Now there are a few things you must know about Mystic arts. The first is that you are going to be using the weak version instead of the stronger version. And everyone will have a aspect they are better at then others. What Aspect did you find was easier for you Jake?" He asked me. I thought about it. "The only one I needed to practice was thunder and water. But I got the basic of the main elemental aspects. Unless you include the non-elemental Aspects." I told him He nods. "So as Jake just said there are two types of Aspects. Now everyone can do them all. But non-elemental has not been fully discovered." I raised my hand. He gives me permission to speak. "I actually created a spell my first week here. It's pretty effective against Heartless." I say. Merlin wasn't expecting this. "And what do you call it? And can you show it off?" He asked me. I step in the center. "Close you eyes! things are about to be bright." I raise my keyblade to the air and yell "Light!". A bright flash of light happens and fades. Everyone opens their eyes and blink of the dots, Merlin claps afterwards. "Bravo. That was a magnificent spell. You're gonna have to teach me it later after training." He states and turns to the others. "This is what I'm talking about. Even people who aren't taught properly can still make discoveries.".Everyone claps at my spell and I bow and literally start to black out. P.O.V. Luna I catch Jake as soon as he passes out. since I was the closest to him. everyone but Merlin huddles around asking if he's okay or not. "He's okay everyone. just back up and let him have some space." Merlin says. When everyone looks at him he continues "He's only exhausted. He is still new to using a keyblade if what he told me is true. So stress is probably catching up with him. Especially with having this many students." Merlin explains. "Now how many times has he fought since here?" Merlin asks. Everyone looks at me and Celestia. "He's pretty much been fighting since every other day. And he trains on top of it all. He also bottled up a lot of negative feelings." I explain. Merlin is nodding and sighs. "What he really needs is a break from everything. new Keyblade wielders usually wear out faster then keyblade masters. With how much he's told me and have done I wouldn't be surprised if he sleeps all day.
Chapter 10: New EnemyView OnlineWhen Runes ComeChapter 10: New Enemy Location : Jake's Dream "Hello!? Where is everyone!?" I yell out. It's strange because before this I had this feeling something was wrong. I'm in Canterlot Castle but everyone is gone. "So this is where you are?" A strange voice asked. I turn and look around, trying to find the voice. "Don't bother trying to find me. I made myself invisible. But now since I found you I can destroy you." I felt something punch me and cry out in pain while kneeling. Then I got kneed in the face. "Alright that's it!" I yelled as flames come out and surround me. "Come out of hiding and face me! you won't beat me using cheap tactics." I called out. the stranger chuckles and says. "Who said I'm hiding?" The i realized why its like this. "Your using a type of advanced magic aren't you?" I asked him while looking around more. He starts to cackle madly. Then a voice right behind me says "You're smarter than you look." When I turned around he threw a right hook at me. Sending me back a couple feet. Then he disappeared again. "So your using a spell to make yourself faster? If you think that cheap magic will help you your wrong." I say while smirking. then I unleashed a tactic I was making. The only bad thing is the magic isn't perfected. so I will most likely get hurt as well as anyone near my body. I started the chant. "incendio ingenti strepitu!" Then fire exploded all around us, hurting both of us and sending me out of the dream in pain. Location : Canterlot castle P.O.V. Luna We all turn to the explosion that went of with wide eyes. especially Tia and mine when we realized where the explosion came from. I immediately took of towards the door. I'm the only one that's fast enough to get there to see if he's alright in time. When I got there I see Jake standing in a ring of fire looking towards a person in a black cloak. I widened my eyes when i saw them both holding keyblades. I summon mine and throw it at the guy in the black cloak. He seems to have seen it cause he dodged. I jump through the fire and land next to Jake Location : Hospital wing P.O.V. Jake "About time someone got here." I tell Luna while getting back into battle stance. "The rest are on their way. Why didn't you use the flare?" She asked me. "He attacked me in the dream first."I told her then rushed at him. I swing it at his head but I missed and got punched back a couple feet. I look at Luna in the corner of my eyes and see her standing there shocked. Then I noticed the organization member look at her. Before he could even think about attacking her i casted firaga at him. It hit him head on and tossed him back. "Why are you so persistent to stay here?" He asked me. "Cause I have people to protect. and since this is my world now I will protect it to the end!" I started yelling at the end as we rushed at each other. I noticed the others are turning the corner and yelled. "Merlin do you have a shield spell in you sleeves of tricks?" I see him nod and smile. "Merlin you have thirty seconds to cast you most powerful shield. Shining armor, I need you to help him." They both went wide eyed and started raising the shield. I picked up Luna and tossed her to Celestia. This cause them both to be on the ground. and when the shield was up I grinned a mad grin. "You want to know what happens when a person is determined enough to protect their world will do?" I asked the organization member. He shook his head and tried to charge, I laughed. "ignis vincula!" Everyone watched chains made of fire come out and wrap around him. "incendio ingenti strepitu!" then I proceeded to explode into fire with the organization member. I see a VERY familiar face while his cloak burn away. "Now how did you find me? And why are you so familiar?" I asked him. He starts cackling like mad. "Why I'm future you!" He yelled out loud. I went wide eyed and stared in shock. "That can't be true. It just can't" I said in shock. "Oh but it is! I ended up losing my sanity and the dark side took over! and all I could feel is pain." He said. So I just followed my heart. P.O.V Luna When i heard the explosion go off a second time i frantically look up out of my shock to see myself in a shield with everyone but one person. "Where is he?" I asked groggily. they all look down and started to cry. I looked out wide eyed and backed up. I see a figure in the smoke standing up. I gasped and looked with admiration. It was Jake. But why is he crying? I looked to his feet to see... Jake? P.O.V. Jake I went down to him while he's still cackling. "What are you gonna do now hero? are you gonna finish me off?" He asked me. "No nothing like that. at least not if I have to." He stopped his cackling to look at me with confusion. "But you were meant to finish me. You weren't supPOSSED TO LET ME LIVE!" he yells at me. "Well screw fate! Look at what it does. I'm not gonna kill anyone if I have a say in it!" Then I hugged him. He starts crying as I hold him. I look at the shield to see everyone staring at me with wide eyes. I stand up and reach a hand out to him... me? I don't know i'm gonna say him. I reach a hand to him. "Come on you can use some rest." I said softly. He chuckles and nods while wiping the tears out of his eyes. "Thanks. I don't know how long until others show up. but know I'm what would have happened if the heartless when you first arrived here would have done to you. I kinda absorbed him." He said. I looked at him wide eyed and nodded dumbly. "Oh yeah manners. Haven't used them for a while but I'm Dak." I nod. "I'm Jake as you know already" He chuckles and starts to fall until I catch him. we grin at each other. "Will one of you two please tell us what just happened!!" Luna yelled at us. I smile sheepishly at them. "Oh right, forgot you guys were there."
Chapter 11: ExplanationView OnlineWhen Runes ComeChapter 11: Explanation Location : Jake's bedroom P.O.V. Jake I was sitting by the bed bandaging him up. When I heard the door open and heard someone walking towards me. "How is he?" Luna asked. I shrugged and waited a second before answering. "He should recover by the day after tomorrow. But he's in a kind of comma." I said. I hear her sigh out loud, then I feel arms wrap around me and her head rest on my shoulder. "We all thought we lost you in that explosion you made. How did you survive it anyways?" She asked. "It's simple really. I just had to strong of a will to give up." I said while looking out the window. "I also have everyone I love to care about. And I couldn't imagine what you would do without your master here." I said a little jokingly at the end. We both laughed for a little bit before she released her hold on me. "Well I'm going to go let everyone know that your both okay."She said as she started walking out. "You know something Luna?" I ask before she closes the door. she peeks back in near the end of the sentence. "I'm so tired of fighting and holding back my fears, but I'm of what would happen if I stopped."I turned to her and she gasps. I have been running on Adrenalin for so long that it's slowing down. As soon as i fully turned to her i blacked out. Location : Jake's bedroom P.O.V. Luna When he started to fall I quickly reached him and caught him. He looked so tired that it was like he hasn't had any real rest. I take him to my room and set him on the bed. I started heading to where everyone is waiting at. I walked into the room and everyone looks at me. "Their both alright."I said. Everyone released the breaths they were holding."But Jake was so tired he couldn't hide it anymore. he even confessed he was tired of fighting with the Heartless and his fears." They all gasp. "Right now he's resting in my bed till he's better." "What should we do while he rests?"Tia asked. I shrugged and walked to sit at the table. "How about we get everyone here better with the Mystic Arts?" Merlin asked. I looked at Tia with a questioning look. She shrugged as well. "I'm fine with the idea. If it means we can give him a little break from fighting." I say. everyone looked at each other and nodded. Location : Luna's bedroom P.O.V. Jake I wake up and noticed Immediately I wasn't in my room. Then I remember the fight with Dak and sighed. Looks like someone knows how long I've been fighting my fears now. I get up and take in the room I'm in. It's all night themed with stars and the moon. I guess this is Luna's room.I exited the room and went to find everyone. when I got to the garden I heard fighting. but not like the fighting for your life fight but sparring. I chuckled silently and followed the noise. "Alright everybody. It seems like your starting to get the hang of the Mystic Arts." I heard Merlin say. "It looked pretty good to me too!" Everybody turned to me but Merlin. "It seems you have learned how to sense my Mystic signature huh?" I asked Merlin as he chuckles. "You need to be sneakier than that to get me."He says as he turns." So how are you Jake?" He asks with a hint of concern. I chuckled "And I take it Luna told you all what I've been fight my fears?" She looks away sheepishly. I chuckle lightly "It's honestly better you did Luna. Otherwise I wouldn't have told anyone." My family starts laughing and nods. Showing that I wouldn't have. "Whelp i"m a go check in on Dak. I'll let you know if anything happens." I say while walking away. I hear them murmur to each other then I heard footsteps running to catch up to me. "So you're not going to let me leave any of your sights now aren't you Luna?"I say as she starts to catch up. She laughs as she now caught up. "Who will help you if no one is there to watch you?" She asks jokingly. Making us laugh again. It seems she's getting better at joking around. I've been to much of an influence "So what is the main reason your here?" I ask her. she looks at me confused. "I know you wouldn't have come here if you didn't have something to tell me. so come out here and say it." She blushes and looks away. "First of all how can you be so young but so wise still?" She asks me. "I've read a lot of books with these types of scenarios." I say. "Okay now stop trying to step around the bush and say it." I told her as we stop outside the door. She sighs and turns away murmuring. "What was that?" I ask her. "I said hat I..." She murmured the last part. I leaned in a little bit and say "Care to say that a little louder?" "I said I love you!" She yelled out and immediately covered her mouth while I stood there slack jawed. She loved me... I can't really stop myself from rubbing my head as if I had a headache... "You love me huh? What makes me so special?"I ask her. "The way you immediately jumped in to save us from heartless. even though you haven't met us. You know how to stop something that some people struggle with easily. Your always trying to protect the innocent. Whenever you laugh it sounds lovely."That part made me blush a little bit." There is also the fact that you look lovely while fighting." Now I was really blushing wildly. so I turned away from her to look at the door. "I don't know what to say..." I told her. She started to turn away and walk away slumped over. "But I do know one thing." Her ears perk up. "Would you like to go on a date with me?" I ask her. She turned to me and tackled me to the ground in a hug. "Sure thing Jake" On the Inside I was freaking out but on the outside I acted cool. "How about we go check on our new friend, shall we?" I asked her. She nodded and started to get up. then she reached a hand out to help me up which I graciously accepted. I open the door enough to fit my head in and look at the bed. He's still sleeping from the looks of it. "Hey Luna, How long was I out?" I asked her. "About two days. why?". "He's still asleep." I told her as I opened the door and went to change the bandages. When I grabbed the roll of bandages I heard Dak Groan. "Hello sleepy head. did you enjoy your rest?" I asked him. "Yes I did thank you very much." He said with sincerity. I smiled and walked over to him with the bandages. "You ready to change your bandages?" I asked him. He nods and sits up. "So what did you do on your world?" I asked him. He looked down and sighed. "I wasn't exactly a good guy at the time. I was so full of rage that I went on a rampage and pretty much destroyed my world." He said. I hummed and still continued. "Huh... This is where someone would back away in fear as Luna did. Why aren't you afraid." I looked at him in the eyes and I saw loneliness. "Because I was thinking the same thing when I first arrived. But then the heartless arrived. And found a way to take away the rage." I told him. then I finished with the bandages and hugged him. "You also look so lonely. That I can't stand the thought of leaving you alone." I whispered to him. Making him go wide eyed and look at me in surprise. Making me smile and start laughing. "Plus why would the heir of the king be scared of anything." I said while walking away. Both Dak and Luna went wide eyed at my words. Chapter 12: The first hoardView OnlineWhen Runes ComeChapter 12: The first hoardIt's around 7 0'clock when I went to Luna's room. When I reached the door where the guards are they salute and step aside. while I'm walking by I heard a guard whisper to me saying nice catch. But I mostly ignored him and continued towards the door. I knocked on the door three times and stood there waiting. after a couple of seconds the door opened and she stepped out. My jaw fell at how amazing she looked in the dress she's wearing. the dress was a galaxy purple with some deep blue lines curving in a specific pattern to make it look like a galaxy. "Well how do I look?" She asked me. "Drop dead gorgeous." I barely spit out. She blushes and giggles. "Well you look very handsome yourself Jake." She told me. I blushed a little and turned away. "Come on. Lets go to the restaurant I want to try out. I heard they are open 24/7." I told her. She was intrigued with the idea of a restaurant that's open all day and night. When we finally reach the restaurant I went in and went over to the hostess. "I'm here on a reservation for two." I told her. "What is your tables name?" She asked me. "Jake Heartfield." I told her as she looks through the list of names. "Ah here you are. If you will please follow me to your table." We follow her to the table. When we got to the seats the Hostess left and went back to the pedestal. I grabbed a menu and searched through the contents. when i finished looking through I saw the waitress coming over here. "May I take your orders?" She asks. "I would like the fried veggie dish with a bottle of red wine please." I told her. "What wine do you want?" She asked. "Surprise me." I told her. "And I'll like the fried veggie dish as well." Luna told the waitress. The waitress nodded and went to the back where they proceeded to cook the food. "So how do you like the restaurant Luna?" I asked her. This restaurant isn't quite like the other fancy restaurants. It has more of a country feel with a hint of fancy. "This place feels different from the other restaurants. But it has a more homey vibe to it." She said. I nodded to show I agreed. "So what were some of the things that you like to do when your not doing your royal duties?" I asked her. thinking there must be something that would be interesting to talk about. "Well since I've been in the night duty for so long I like to stargaze. But there is one thing I've been doing recently. I've been wondering how people play music so well." I laughed at this. "What's so funny about what I said?" Luna asked. "I'm wondering if my guitar skills are Still as good as ever." I told her. she looked at me curiously. "You play an instrument? Were you a part of a band?" She asked me. "Nope. I was never able to be in a band. But I did play to just play. Never interested in being a band." I said. the waitress came with our food and gave it to us. We thanked her and started to eat. "So what about this restaurant caught your eye?" She asked. I looked around. "They have a no racist policy." I told her. She looked confused at that. "I'm not going to go to a restaurant looking for a good time and get called stuff that's demeaning." I told her. "So when I saw the sign of rules saying everyone is allowed I just had to check it out. And I might just come back here at some point. It's nice being out and eating.". As soon as I finished eating I heard a loud scream. I turned around to see the hostess running from a Heartless. I quickly summon my keyblade and jump at the Heartless. killing it in one hit. "Luna get everyone Into the corner. It'll be easier for me to protect them." I assumed she nodded and went to gather everyone in the corner. I see people outside running away from even more heartless. "Shit! Gotta get outside and help people." I rushed to the door. and opened it. "EVERYONE! IF YOU WANT TO LIVE GET OVER HERE NOW!!!" I yelled with so much command that even the ones trying to fight quickly ran into the restaurant. Okay then lets do this. I cast lightga. and got rid of the enemies five feet in front of me. but this was a swarm. I casted flare and shot it up. but it ended up hitting something from the sky and killed it. Shit we cant contact the others. "Luna get over here!" I yell towards the restaurant. "Coming master." I hear from inside. "What's the problem?" She asked me. "I wont be able to get a flare off because there are Heartless that are flying around. so I need you to go up there and fight them while I deal with the rest of these." I told her. her gaze turns to nervousness. "Are you sure I'm ready for something like this?" She asked me. I laughed. "Well if you don't think about everyone in this dome. If you don't they will most likely die anyway. Even I will die with this many." I told her. Her gaze went from nervous to determined. "Okay then. I'll get through and fire off a flare." And she took off. "Alright lets do this." I said to myself as I started to get surrounded. they send out three and I take them out. and they keep sending out more and more. there are mostly Shadows and Neoshadows. But there were some soldiers and there was even a couple sniper wilds. I know about the sniper wilds because they keep shooting at me. So I'm constantly dodging bullets and everything. This is when I noticed there is a Kid in the middle of them. but is surrounded. I started to jump from head to head and right as soon as a heartless was about to get them I picked them up and continued. Then the Shadows started to decide I was still stronger. so they started to form into Demon Tides. And they started to come at me. I dodged two of the but wouldn't be able to dodge the third one. so I jumped and I scraped my leg against it. I landed on it and started surfing. While it was going I casted thundaga. Then in front of the restaurant where everyone is watching. They see me carrying a kid and gasp. then the mother yells and tries to open the door. I then hoped off and went to the door. I opened it and tossed the kid into the arms waiting for her. then I rushed out.into the fray. I guess this is when the unicorns agreed to help because when a heartless was about to get me in the back I noticed a shield made of magic. I looked into the restaurant and noticed that three horns were holding the shield. they rushed outside and came to me. "We will be your shield. so you don't have to worry about your back." I nodded my thanks and turned back to the heartless swarm. While turning back I looked up to see Luna killing a Air soldier. and continued to go through them like nothing. I looked down and swung as soon as a heartless tried to swipe at me. It died instantly. and started to cast spells. this went on for a few minutes. And there were a couple of close calls but a shield casted by the unicorns pushed them back. when I noticed the sky shining. I looked up to notice that Luna shot of the flare. I smiled and looked at the unicorns. "Our backup is arriving here soon." as I looked in front of me. "Like right now." When they looked they see heartless flying all over the place. then I noticed the Demon tides were forming again. I grinned. "Whelp looks like my rides arrived.I think you three should go back into the restaurant and put a shield up." They nodded and rushed back in As soon as the Demon tide started coming my way. I jumped up onto it's back and rode it all the way to the backup. when I noticed a Demon tide going for them I jumped off mine and landed in front of it and parried. the demon tide away. And in the nick of time too. It was right in front of Celestia. "Hello everyone. I turn the restaurant into a safe place with the help of a couple of unicorns. Oh my rides back so cya there." When they looked at me as i turned. a demon tide came at me and i jumped onto it. riding it to the restaurant. before I was out of site I turned and looked at their shocked faces. I landed on another demon tide and striked it down with a couple of hits. After dealing with the smaller demon tide I turned to the other demon tides. they were changing into a demon tower. Which is a heavy hitter instead of speedy. They dove into the ground and vanished. I looked around till I noticed the dark pool under me. I jumped to the side and out of there in time to watch it come out of the ground and try to get me like that. I swung my keyblade at it and noticed it did nothing. So I changed the keyblade. I switched from the kingdom keyblade to A key chain I was given by Luna. then proceeded to get through them. This keyblade gives me an affinity to dark. I will also take less damage from beings of darkness. So I charge in and dive into the tower. and start swinging. since it takes a while to consume me. And then it explodes. sending Shadows everywhere. and once the shadows hit the ground instead of disappearing it goes into the keyblade I'm wielding. weird... As I go to dive into the next one I noticed that my keyblade was trying to tell me something was behind me. When I turned I noticed that there is a darkside. I was paralyzed. I snapped out of it when I noticed it went to swing at me. I jumped onto its arm and ran to its face. Hitting it five times before being forced to retreat. I shot up a Black flare. Hoping that everyone sees it and run. I quickly run to the restaurant. and kick open the door. "Okay I need everyone to start heading to the castle. when you go bye the backup tell them to flee. there is no helping me out in this situation, now go!" When I yelled go they took off running that way. I turn and jump Just in time to see a fist where I once was standing. Then I cast waterga at the darkside. Hitting it and getting it wet. Then I built up energy and went to cast thundaza. But a heartless out of nowhere hit me and made me stumble. I turn and swung at it killing it and noticed that there are some people running this way. All the students were coming with a look of determination on all their faces. And Merlin is right behind them. I look up and noticed the darkside is getting bigger. "Fine you want to play rough, I'll play." And activate Harmony form. which allowed me to float. I have about two minutes before time for this form runs out and I go unconscious. I then flew as fast as I could behind his head and swung down onto it. It roared out in pain and went to swipe at me like I'm a bug. I hear the keyblade tell me a new incantation. "Are you sure it will work?" I asked it. I felt it nod and smile. "Perniciosa Tenebris" and that was all I remember Before I blacked out from the form. Author's Note And that is how it goes. so the incantations are all Latin for something simple like Perniciosa Tenebris. It means Bane of Darkness what it does is get rid of a type of darkness in a five foot radius. the other two incantation is pretty self explanatory. one is giant fire explosion while the other is fire chains. well thats all I have to say. hope you enjoy the story so far.

Which is weird because usually she is always here. "Hello everyone. How are you guys doing today?" I asked. They all look and yell they are doing fine. I went over to Merlin. "So how is their Mystic Arts coming along?" I asked. "Their are doing pretty good. your Mom is better than the others as she has already got the 3rd tier of the spells I'm teaching." He told me. I was shocked because I only got the basics and never came back for these lessons because they were talking about stuff I already figured out. "Where is she now? I am going to give everyone a lesson on heartless and she would need to hear this." I told him. He shrugged and looked out the window. "She told me she was going out and thats it." He said. I knew what that meant. She wanted to explore the city a little bit. "Ah, thats her way of saying i'm going to explore be back in a hour. So how long has she been gone?" I asked him. He chuckled and said "She has been gone for about two hours now." I started to laugh. "All that means is she found a couple of good people or she is shopping. Finding a good store in this place would be something my Mom would do.". "So what is this lesson your gonna give?" Merlin asked me curiously. "Its just the same old. Show them Some of the heartless's weak points. And tell them of which magic works best against the Magic heartless." I told him. This got him to nod."I think I can help you with your lesson. since magic is my specialty." He told me and I nodded my thanks while thinking. "I'm gonna go make sure Mom isn't lost or buying out businesses." I half joke while walking away which got a chuckle from Merlin. When I got outside and into the city I noticed that the ponies were livelier around an area I decided to check it out. When I got to where I could see the middle I see mom fight of drunk guys. I chuckle and knocked out two of the guys while Mom got the other two. When she turned to finish off the other two she only saw me and froze. "So this is what you do on your spare time?" I ask jokingly. She laughed and played along "Well someone has to teach the drunks a lesson." This made me laugh. Which started to make her laugh. "Well come on. I have a lesson and I think this will help you with some fighting. Especially against drunks." We both chuckle and started to walk back to the castle. I look around and noticed something strange. It seems like everyone disappeared. "Mom I want you to go to the castle and to the training room. I have to check something." I tell her when I turned to the right and walked that way. After walking a bit away I checked to see if something wasn't right with my senses. There is a very faint signature but it was there. And its coming right for me. I jumped to the side and summoned my keyblade. "Well I guess this will be fun after all." The guy said right behind me. I turn and see another guy with a black cloak. "So who are you this time? I mean your obviously a org 13 ripoff. But which one?" I asked him. He was fuming with rage.... Literally fuming with rage. "I see we have a jokster here. Do you know what a knuckle sandwich is?" He asked me with venom as he charged I chuckle and leap back a bit to get out of the way. "So whats your name baby face?" I asked while insulting him. "Stop talking and take the hits already!" He shouted and threw another punch. I sidestepped and threw a punch of my own. Nailing him in the face and sending him flying. So this guy tried to do assassin jobs because he can't go one on one. I can tell because instead of facing me directly he tried to throw throwing knives at me. which had his mystic signature on it. And when he missed he tried to punch me. but he was too slow or too weak. that means one thing and this guy is a joke. "So you gonna tell me your name or are you gonna try to hit me again?" I asked him. He looked up and sighed while slumping. "Why does everyone I end up fighting want to know my name?" he asked himself but said it loud enough for me to hear it. "Because if you fight you learn more about your opponent. only thing fighting doesn't tell you is their name. that's your choice. My name's Jake." I told him. He stared at me dumbly and my hand as if his brain shut down. then he shook his head. "How did you know where I was?" He asked me and I chuckled. "If you did some research then you would have figured out I can sense people with mystic signatures." I told him. "So thats what they meant by assassinating you would be hard. How did you know my knives were coming?" He asked me which made me chuckle and turn to him. "If you want to find out come to my class. Speaking of my class I need to catch up with my Mom to make sure the lesson is done." I said while waving and turning back around. When I noticed there was no other footsteps I turned back to him. "Well aren't you coming?" I asked him. He looked at me shocked "You mean to tell me I can join your class now?" He asked as if I just spoke an firework spell with him as a Kid. "Well yeah. But you gotta let the hood down. It makes people suspicious of you." I told him. He hesitated and lowered it and what I saw shocked me. it was my friend Will. "Will? You were trying to assassinate me?" He looked away and nodded. "They lied about you trying to take over the world. when they said you wore a black cloak I was surprised to see you here. But without the black cloak. all of us got the email. but some of us landed in different universes." He explained. I nodded understanding that. I figured that was what happened when My mom said they received an email like the one I had gotten. "Do you know where our other friends are?" I asked him. He shook his head and sighed. "I've been hoping from universe to universe to find everyone. But I only stayed in the light universes. where they are about the same as the MLP we know." He said and I nodded. We finally arrived at the gate to see Mom and Merlin there. They both saw Will and looked at each other. "So your gut feeling was right again?" Mom asked and I nodded. next thing I know I'm dodging punches from Mom. "Why didn't you tell me! I could have helped you! what if it wasn't will but some jerk that would be able to kill you!" Mom yelled and this is happening right in front of the guards. Will went over and asked a question to which the guards nodded to. "Stop talking about me behind my back!" I yelled out as I dodged another punch and took off down the road with Mom following. It stopped when we got to the training ground where everyone stopped Mom from trying to beat me up. "So why is your Mom mad at you? Luna asked and everyone looked at me while Mom smirked. "Oh another fight happened and I sent Mom away before it began." I said with a smirk of my own going right back at her just to tease her. "And you forgot to mention you fought a hooded member again since no one here knows what to call them!" Mom yelled out which made everyone glare at me. "What? It was just an assassin." I said. This made everyone, And even the guards glared at me. "Why is everyone glaring at me. he wasn't even able to land a direct hit. He only got punched in the face and went flying." I said. The only ones glaring at me were my students now. "Now let us ask a very simple question. Are you gonna get help when the next hooded member comes or no?" Luna asked. I sighed. "Whelp now's the time where I teach you guys something." I tell them. They leaned in and looked eager. "I learned how to teleport... so cya!" I told them as I looked up and yelled "Ianuae Magicae" and teleported to the rooftop where I started to run for my life. When I turned I see Luna and Celestia coming after me and I turned and started to move faster using the haste spell. When I got to the edge of the roof I turned to see them land and start walking to me. "What do you have to say for yourself Jake?" Celestia asked. A idea popped into my head and I grinned like a mad man. "You shall never take me alive coppers!" I yell as I jump "LABOR!" I yell and start gliding. I turned to see their reactions and see them shocked. I laugh and yell to them "It'll take a lot more than cornering me to beat me up!". This shook them out of their shock and glared at me harder. I think I made them angrier than before. and their gone. I look around frantically to find them When I looked down I see them charging at me. They used the drop to gain speed! oh this is really bad! They will catch up in no time. I gotta try to find a way to slow them down. Then I remember something and face palmed. I summon my keyblade and cleared my mind to talk to it. "Can you please transform into a glider?" I asked it. "Sure thing Jake. Just as long as you get out of the trouble of making all this happen." It said in a jolly voice. I laughed and saluted it. When i threw it in front of me I watched it glow and transform into a glider and land on it. "To twilight's place!" I yell to it as it takes off. leaving the sisters shocked. Author's Note Everyone tries to cover up their demons or let them out. This here chapter was Jake letting his Demon take control. His demon isn't a bad one. But he becomes more of a jerk Bye teasing the people around him into beating him up.
Chapter 14: The pushView OnlineWhen Runes ComeChapter 14: The push"So what your telling me is you guys are forcing me to leave here and go on a vacation?" I ask everyone and they all nodded. I started frowning and looking at them in their eyes. I noticed they were hiding some worry but I can only guess they would think I would yell at them. "And why do you guys think I need a break?" I asked them to see their answer. If they give a good answer then I might go with it. "You are constantly training and fighting. Even when times look tough but you still do it. But its all you have done while here. So we decided to send you to my pupil." Celestia said. When I looked through my memories I realized that she's right. but then I got confused about something. "Since when did you have a student?" I asked her and she tilted her head in confusion. "Didn't I tell you Twilight is my pupil? I swear I told you before." She said and I shrugged. "Must have been when I was spacing out like there was no tomorrow." I said and she nodded. "Well I would go but I don't think it would be a good idea." I told them. They all had confusion written on their faces. "And why exactly can't you? Even Merlin agrees you need a break." Luna said and Merlin nodded his agreement. I sigh and look up. "Since you all think that I need a break I'll need you to prove to me that I'm not needed to help out. So you guys are getting a test. And Merlin you stay out of it. no help whatsoever." I told everyone. They all look at each other nervously and in a instant I see a flame in Mom's and Luna's eyes. A flame that means they most likely have what it takes. I start laughing out of control which made everyone turn to me. "What's so funny?" Dad asked. "This is going to be so much fun!" I say while hopping around. then I stopped and turned to the guards in the room. Because if my students are to prove their worth, they are gonna need some bandages. "Hey guards! can you bring some first aid kits? If they do perform the test wrong then they might get hurt a lot." I see them nod and head out. I turn to see them all looking a little scared. "Oh don't take the wording wrong but you see. You are all fighting yourselves!" I tell them as I go to the center. I can feel everyone's eyes on me except Merlin who I hear chuckle. "Man is he creative." I barely hear and laugh. "Come here Merlin, I'll need some help with the spell." I tell him and he starts to follow me towards the middle. "Okay. so I am gonna need you to set up the screen to show what happens inside of their mind while I set up the spell." I tell him and he nods. 3 HOURS LATER... "There we go! all finished." I tell them. They all sigh and I laugh. "You didn't have to wait so long if I could travel with you. but if two people step into the circle then there is no tell what might happen." They all nod. "And the first one to go shall be... Luna!" I tell them. she steps up as Celestia raised her hand. "Yes Celestia? what is it you want?". "Why does Luna get to go first? As far as we know you know she already battled herself." She told me and while everyone looked surprised Luna returned a questioning look and I looked at her with teacher mode turned on. "The simple answer is that since she has already battled herself then She won't know what to expect because last time she was fighting a parasite. but this time it's her actual self." I explained and they both looked at me with a questioning look. I sighed and begin to go into detail. "What she was fighting is a parasite. but the parasite copied her memories and skills and did a transferal of types. It basically transferred it's powers into Luna and what that resulted was it gaining the memories and the skills of Luna." They gave a more understanding look and nodded. "Now with that over here's a thing to keep in mind. Since Luna has been learning new tricks, she will be fighting a version that would more than likely be able to do everything she's capable of. and will be able to counter her original strategy. So in order to pass you will have to come up with something on the spot. And don't worry the most that'll happen if you lose is you getting tossed out of the spell circle and slam into the wall. But that's why we have bandages!" I say a little to excited near the end. Making almost everyone shudder. "So step on in Luna! And don't worry about anything. You probably won't fail if you do what I think you will." I told her as she stepped into the circle and watch it flash as her body starts floating. when it was done the screen activated and I see Luna facing a Anti-Luna and staring at it curiously. "Huh hey Jake is that supposed to happen?" I hear Merlin ask. "What? Never seen a Anti before?" He shook his head and I laughed as everyone turned to me from the name. "Anti? Is that what you are supposed to call yourself?" Celestia asked and I started looking at them. "Nope! that is just all her negative emotions all into one being. But I'll leave the other surprise open till it comes out. And she better hurry it up! she has ten minutes before the other one arrive. she will need to weaken her dark side if she wants to succeed." I tell them cryptically. See I never said how many of yourself you have to fight. There's light and dark in everyone. So most people when they fight them self they have to fight a two on one battle. Sometimes more if you are a rare case. the most someone had to fight at one period was six. but that's not how many I have fought. add one more you'll know how many I had to fight. But that's because I have other forms. This is how you know if someone has a form. If they have more than two... Now since I think about it I'll have to retake this test myself what with me finding a new form. I have a feeling that I'll be getting more forms in the future. when I zoned back in I noticed that there was smoke on the screen now and the Anti is in front of Luna which is now crying. The Anti must have used a fear spell. "Do you know why Luna is crying all of a sudden?" Celestia asked me. "The Anti is just using a fear spell so she is most likely seeing her worst nightmare." I say out loud as her eyes go wide. "She already went through that though. which means she's probably going through it again!" Celestia said with a hint of panic laced into her voice. I quickly rushed to her and hugged her. "Then she must have figured out that this is part of the test." I told her. When Celestia looked a little confused I sighed. "Not all fights are going to be physical. most of them are actually going to be mental. I only have more physical tests because I wanted more power to protect friends. So when my inner selves came and taught me I went through physical. Because the more power you have the easier it is to protect the ones you care about." I tell her. She is the first one I had told my reason for wanting power. besides if you weak to where you will do LITERALLY 0 damage than what good will speed and intelligence do for you "Why are we doing this?" She asked me and I looked towards the screen to see Luna snap out of the fear induced illusion. "That's my little secret. but I will say a wise man once said 'Inner peace can be reached only when we practice forgiveness. Forgiveness is letting go of our past, and is therefor the means for correcting our misconceptions.'" I told her. When I hear a sniffle I turned to see Celestia about to cry. "Now why are you crying?" I asked her as I hug her. "That you are helping us. Even though you only knew us for almost two months now." She said and I laughed. "You helped me day one and without you guys I probably wouldn't be around here now. It's the only way I can think of repaying you for all the help you gave me." I told her with a genuine smile for once. One that shined to anyone that saw. I looked back at the screen to see that Luna is starting to understand what I put her through and chuckle. which ended up earning the attention of everyone in the room. "Looks like she finally figured out what I'm trying to do. And on her own as well. She is more clever than I thought. Maybe one of you have caught on by now?" I ask them and the only one close to figuring out what I was trying was Celestia. And Celestia doesn't know fully what I'm doing. "Something to do with getting over some kind of obstacle?" I heard Mom ask and she's the closest so far. "You're really close to it. Celestia know what the test consist of since I had to explain a little more in depth with her. If she shares the info then that is what happens. Most I can say is not everything is physical or mental." I told everyone with the end being cryptic. I turned back to the screen to see that she finished the first part and the Anti is frowning. Luna on the other hand seems to have a smile plastered on her face. I swear I haven't seen that beautiful of a smile ever since my sister was born. I looked in the corner to see the light part come into play. "Looks like round two is starting." I said out loud. but it was more to myself than anything. "So Light what are you gonna do?" I heard Anti talk and I tilted my head. I must have accidentally ignored the talking from Anti. "I'm not gonna say out loud you numskull!" I saw the white one yell and smack Anti across the head. "So it seems you figured out what Anti was trying, huh." I heard Light say and chuckle. "Yeah so what are you gonna try to throw my way? Another fear induced Illusion? fighting for my life?" I heard Luna ask and chuckle. "Nope!" Light said confusing everyone but me. I started getting giddy. Its getting to the good part. "I'm gonna unlock a thing you will get. but since you master came and told me not to tell you just yet I'm here to see if you actually pass!" Light said and everyone turned to me with questioning looks. "I'm not saying a thing till you all finish... By the way where is Merlin?" I asked as when I looked around the room I noticed he was gone. "He went to get some popcorn." Shining Armor told me and I nodded at the information. "So how are you exactly going to test me?" I heard Luna ask and light giggled. "By putting you through a simulation!" Light said and I tensed up because this is gonna suck for everyone. "Why are you looking tense?" I heard Mom ask and all eyes turn to me. "I don't think she's ready for this. How is she at making strategies Celestia?" I ask her. "She was the one to lead our armies before nightmare moon. She came up with most Ideas but I put them into the plan." She told me and I face palm. "Well let's hope she learns quick because They went over step two." I said to everyone. making their eyes widen and look at the screen. The scenery in the screen started to change until it looked like the castle we're in. but the difference is that in the middle of the arena in front of Luna is a Darkside and a Dark Follower. When everyone including Luna saw the Darkside and Dark Follower they gasped and Luna immediately ran for cover. "Smart choice she did. But how will she deal with the Dark Follower beside a Darkside?" I ask myself out loud but Celestia Heard me. "Is the one with wings the Dark Follower?" She asked me where everyone could hear. "Yep. That is the only difference between them." I said while keeping my eyes on the screen. P.O.V Luna What am I supposed to do against this? Does Jake seriously believe that this test will be doable? Of course it is! he wouldn't send me in here to fight against the Darkside and whatever the flying Darkside is called. Okay Luna let's think about this. I'm fighting against two toughest heartless there is and one has wings. so there has to be a way of beating them. Wait if what I saw from Jake's fight with a actual Darkside has taught me anything, it's that their weak-spot is when they attack. So I'll need to get them split up and fight one of them. when I look around the surrounding I notice that it's the throne room in Canterlot Castle. And if they have a direct copy here from my memories then the garden is two rooms over. I start smirking and fly out of cover. I notice the one with wings flying towards me and try to punch me. But with them being larger that means I can out maneuver them both just like Jake. That's it! I need to get out to the garden and set traps! I started giggling to myself and rush out the door and head to the garden. when I opened the garden door I noticed that a darkside reached the door to the throne room. I quickly set up a fire trap at the door when the Darkside spotted me. When I finished setting up the trap I noticed that the darkside was halfway towards the door. I quickly close the door and arm the spell while going to place different spell all around the place. When I got three traps up I heard the first trap go off covering the first Darkside in flames. I noticed that the simulation added a health bar to look at and noticed that it is at half health. I silently cheered and went to the second trap. When I was behind the second trap I shouted at it "Over here you ugly thing!" I saw it look at me and start running. After a minute I heard the wind trap go off. Making it where the Darkside last a fourth of his health. Making the health bar show red. I turned and shot off a waterga. leaving it with one hit and I jumped to his head. taking out the Darkside and leaving the flying darkside. The flying darkside land in front of me and throws a punch. Since I wasn't prepared I got hit. While I was flying through the air I stretch my wings and start to glide. When I got to the center of the maze I watched as the flying Darkside is dive-bombing me.I smirk and quickly dive out of the way. It got its head stuck in the ground. I run over there and start hitting his wing. I notice that the wing is quickly healing the damage I do and cast Fire at it. Fire was the one I struggled with the most from all other Mystic Arts. I notice the wing disappearing and cheer. That is when the flying Darkside got its head unstuck. When it looked at me I noticed the health bar had a name next to it. So this thing is called a Dark Follower. I cast thundaga and it seems to be at half health now. It screeches and a ball of purple energy appears in its chest. when it leans back the ball shot out missiles and my eyes widen as I jump to the side. When the missiles followed me I ran towards the Dark follower and had it hit itself with the attack. I noticed the health bar stayed the same so this attack doesn't affect the Dark Follower. I looked to see two missiles turn towards me from the back and on instinct I swung. When the keyblade hit the missile and sent it back I started attacking the missiles. Whatever missiles didn't hit the monster I would hit back. When I had a break from the missiles I swung at the arm. And I cast One more thundaga and the Dark Follower is gone. "Woo you did it!" Light tackles me while Anti laughed at the sight. I chuckled and nodded. "So is that all from the test?" I asked and they nodded. "Because of this test you are now allowed to change into a form. Jake knows how to activate it so ask him." Anti said a little giddier than earlier. "Why are you so excited?" I asked Anti. "Oh no reason. oh yeah you two better finish this little thing there because your gonna leave soon." Anti told me and I laughed. Because Anti started to become embarrassed at the amount of attention he has. When I finished laughing I noticed the area around us fading out. P.O.V Jake "Welcome back Luna." I called out to her as I give her a hug. "You passed the test! And you had to fight two Darksides." I told her. getting her to smile. "Thanks Jake. So who is next?" Luna asked me and I started thinking. "No one at the moment." I said getting everyone to look at me. "And why not?" Celestia asked me. "Have you seen what time it is? It's almost dinner time." I said to them getting shocked expressions. "What can I say? We started later than you think And activating the runes require a master to start it. And with the amount of mana I have we can fit in two at best." I told everyone. when I looked to make sure they understood I nodded and clapped. "So who wants food?" I ask getting answers from their stomachs. Author's Note I will be changing somethings from kingdom hearts. Like I know Dark Followers can't fly in the game but in here they can. I will also make my own heartless for some people to fight. but I hope you enjoy this extra long chapter. I would hate myself for leaving off on a cliffhanger this big.
Chapter 15: attack?View OnlineWhen Runes ComeChapter 15: attack?i wake up and begin doing what I usually do after a long rest and head out for breakfast. I enter the dining room to find Celestia and Luna awake. "Hello you two. How are you today?" I ask to be the gentleman I was taught to be. they both wave and continue to eat. I sigh as I noticed that they both seemed nervous about something. "What has gotten you two worked up?" They both look towards each other and nod. "Last night we felt a powerful source of energy coming from south of PonyVille." Celestia told me before Luna took over. "We are hoping to take the lesson off from today to check it out. Well master? should we check this out?" She asks me. I think for a little bit before deciding. "Not without me you aren't." They both narrowed their eyes. "If it's as powerful that you sensed it without magic then it means two thing. One is that a master of the keyblade is here and about to try to find answers. or it's someone from the organization." I told them. they both went from glaring to thinking. "What if we were to go with everyone? I'm sure that we can handle anything with everyone and a strategy." Luna said. I was about to disagree when both of them turned their heads and used something that was hilarious. Puppy dog eyes. I start rolling in laughter until I noticed their confused looks. "Sorry but only my Mom can get anything from me. She has all sorts of blackmail on me." I tell them and freeze as I heard someone cough over my shoulder. As I slowly turned I see mom giving me a disappointed look. I chuckle a little bit and then started to run. When I got to the castle entrance I open it and took off into the air. using my glider to take me to where Celestia and Luna told me the energy was. huh... there's nothing here and turn to sensing energy. I noticed the energy went towards Ponyville. I followed the trail up to this castle that doesn't belong in a place like this. I knocked a couple of times and waited for the pony who lives here to open the door. I hear the door open and am surprised by a Twilight. "Hello Twilight. nice to see you again." I told her as she shook her head. "You weren't supposed to be here for a couple more days if what was told to me correct." She said and invited me in. "Well I'm not here for the vacation yet. I was following a trail that led here. Have you invited someone in recently?" I told her and she nodded. "He's resting up in a spare bedroom. you can come see him for yourself if it would make you feel better." She told me and I nodded. "Before we get into the room what was he like? Any injuries? And how exhausted did he seem?" I asked and she thought about it. "Not many injuries, A few shallow cuts. but he was fine. As for his exhaustion. He seems to be talking about trying to run from someone." She said which peaked my interest. when we arrived I opened the door to see a bright brown hair boy with spiky hair. By the way he clenched his fist he seems to be in another nightmare. "Huh... Never thought I'd see the person who inspired me to use my powers to help people. do you know his name or did he pass out on the doorstep?" I asked her as she focused on the boy. "He wasn't really able to. You see the reason is because Spike dropped a potted plant by accident. Which so happened to be by our door." Twilight told me and I laughed. loud enough to where the boy started to wake up. "Well hello there boy. What's your name?" I asked him as he fully rose up. "Sora. Where am I?" He asked me and I started to grin. Welcome to Ponyville kiddo!" I told him and watched his eye widen. "So why is this place called Ponyville?"He asked me and I laughed. "You must have crash landed here. Welcome to Equestria. Land of the ponies!" I say and he looked at me like i'm insane. "The people here are what you would call a anthropony. so they look human but they are actually Ponies." I continued. "Then why are you here and why aren't we transformed to fit in with the area around us?" Sora asked and I smiled a little bigger. The world barrier is braking more and more and as long as I exist then it'll continue to happen." I told him. He glared at me and summoned his keyblade. "And why are you breaking them?" He asked me and I sigh. "Not really my choice. Me being alive is running this place wild along with our own organization trying to kill me with other me's" I told him but he got confused. His face says everything. "Yep. We've been fighting a organization our self. As well as them getting other evil me's to fight me. But some can be saved. As proof of a current student of mine." I told him and his mouth falls open. "You're a master!" He yells in shock. "I've been training my students for one month. And I have eight students. Plus Merlin to help me teach them." I told him. His eyes grew larger at the number of students I have. "So what have you been doing? You must have done something if your here." I asked him. "Last I remember was fighting Xehanort and beating him." He said and I nodded. So he's after Kingdom Hearts three because The trailer shows him fighting Xehanort. "Whelp. How about you sit back and relax for a little bit. I bet your friends are gonna worry about you if you don't contact them and say your fine." I tell him and watch him frantically search his pockets for the Gummi phone. When he pulled it out and started to call Yen Sid. When Yen Sid picked up he had a worried look on him. "Sora Where are you at? We have been searching for you and Riku for a while now." Yen Sid asks. "Well I don't know. But I know someone who can explain. Meet my new friend... What's your name?" He asked and I rubbed the back of my head. "Oops forgot to introduce myself. My names Jake and I'm the next Heir to the throne of between." I said as Sora and Yen Sid grew wide eyed. "You mean you're gonna take Max's spot on the throne!" Yen Sid yelled in surprise and I start to look confused. "So Max is his name... Kinda fitting for him." I say to myself. "Anyway let me explain the situation here. Do you know about a land called Equestria?" I asked Yen Sid. When he shook his head I sighed. "Well Equestria is home to the ponies who live here. They currently have four princesses and a Princess born not to long ago. Maybe a month before I arrived here. Anyways the highest ranking official is princess/prince. with there being no queen and the princesses not wanting to go to queen status because they don't feel ready even though they've been around for at least a thousand years." I say as they go wide eyed. "Then there is the Elements of Harmony. which was used by six ponies to defeat some powerful foes. the elements represent a sort of personality that keeps friendships together. There is honesty, laughter, generosity, kindness, loyalty, and magic. All together they have the power to do something like defeat a draconeques that can warp reality. think of it like this. He turned dirt roads to soap. made the main personality of the six elements to the opposite." "Three months ago I was sent here by a weird email telling me to select what to get rid of and to keep. Then I arrived here and ever since been fighting heartless while training some people to use their keyblade. Was about to continue the testing I was doing when I was told by the leaders that they felt a strange energy to the south of here and came to find what it was. Turned out however Sora got here was the energy they picked up." I tell them. They looked at each other before Yen asks "Is there any way for us to find you two without doing much. we still gotta find Riku." Yen asks me and I thought about it for a little while before a idea popped into my head. "Then me and my students shall help you find Riku." I tell them as I walk to the door and wave at Sora to follow. "What do you mean? Do you think he's here?" Sora asks with a little bit of hope. I shrugged and say "I don't know but it's possible that the energy can lead us to him. I just hope he didn't land in the dragon lands." I say as I continue to walk then stopped at the dinning room and walk in. "Hey Twilight. do you have any sciency stuff around here?" I ask her as I walk to the kitchen. She turned her head and nodded. "Yeah I do. I'll have to dig it out of the basement though. Why do you need some science tech?" She asked as I opened the fridge and grab the stuff for a sandwich. I'm going to look into the residue energy left behind to see if I can find other signatures of said or similar energy. But thats hard to do without the tech to do it." I told her and she squees with excitement. "Oh this'll be so much fun! Can I help?" She asks me and I nod as I finished my sandwich. "In fact you can be in charge of the project. Not much for the science stuff. Can't really understand science talk." I told her. Making her jump up and down excitedly while following me. When we got there with the science stuff the energy was still there. and we got fully set up when we heard a loud roar. "What was that!?" Sora asks looking at me while me and Twilight nodded. "I'll go see what a dragon is doing here. Sora you stay here and protect Twilight." I tell Sora as I take off. When I got to where the dragon roared I say a guy in a black cloak and sigh. "How do you guys know what times are the good times to get me alone?" I asked them and he laughed. "Because most of us know how to get you to come to us. I'm Drake btw" He said and I pull out the keyblade. then rushed at him. He pulled off his cloak and charged at me. he is a dragon and looks kinda like me. "So are you what would happen if I became a dragon instead of being the same?" I ask as I swing and he parries. He chuckles and swing his other claw at me. "Looks like your smarter than I thought. but that won't change anything. You're still gonna lose!" He yells and shoots a fireball out of his mouth. I quickly jump out of the way then I used waterza which he quickly flew into the air to dodge and charged towards me to swing. I raise my Keyblade up and block his swing and push him back which surprised us. "I didn't know I was that strong. guess my training is paying off." And quickly swing at his legs. it bent the leg forward a little bit and he growled. Before I had a chance to react he quickly grabbed my leg and threw me. I landed near Sora and Twilight and hear them both gasp. Then I suddenly jumped up and raised my arms in a defense position as drake threw a punch at me. sending me flying a little further and drake kept coming. till finally I hit a tree. I noticed Drake about to punch me again when I rolled out of the way and summon my keyblade back to me. Drake didn't have enough time to stop and punched the tree. He punched a hole in the tree and got his arm stuck. I then swung at him and launched him through the tree and chased after. when he touched the ground he swung at me. I went under his swipe and hit his leg again. he then growled and breathed fire at me. I very quickly ducked under the torrent of flame and casted waterga at him. making him stumble and stop breathing fire. I then rush towards him and swung for his head. He quickly raised his arms to block the hit. When suddenly a new keyblade flew in and struck drake in the back of the head. When he looked back and saw Sora, I swung and hit his head. "Okay thats enough!" Drake yelled sending out a shock wave and sending us back a couple feet. Then he rushed at me and swung at me while launching a fireball at Sora. hitting both of us and knocking Sora away. "So you want to do this the hard way? Then let play." I say and wisper "Fragor Magnus." and a explosion happened beneath me and sending me and drake flying. I got the glider out and flew after Drake I noticed he was knocked unconscious. I caught him and brought him down to land. I didn't expect that to be enough to knock him out. If anything I thought he would be a little tired after that. Chapter 16: Students vs. Teacher...View OnlineWhen Runes ComeChapter 16: Students vs. Teacher...I am sitting at the table in the guest room with a paper, ink and quill. Writing my report to the princess' when I heard groaning on the bed to my right. "What happened?" He asked himself as he raises his head and look around. "Hello." I say from behind him. Causing Drake to jump and fall off the bed. "What are you doing here! Where is here! If you won why haven't you killed me!?" He shouted in surprise. I get up and go over to him. "I'm here on a mission, In Princess Twilight's castle, Yes I won but I don't kill." I answer his questions as he groaned. "What is your reason on being here? And I mean in this room not your mission." He asked me and I laugh. "Well I gotta keep all the people I'm responsible for in good shape. Even if they try to kill me once or twice." I say nonchalantly and reach a hand for him to grab. He gives me an unamused look and grab my hand. I pull him to his feet and turn to the door and call for Twilight. She quickly came and did the whole medical procedure of changing the bandages on his arms, legs, and hip. After making sure he was healthy she gave me a thumbs up and walk to me. "What are you gonna do with him? He did try to kill you." She asks me to where Drake can't hear. "I'm gonna do nothing." I say and she goes wide eyed. "Well it looks like you can move again. That's great and all but I need to ask about the organization. Do you know their plans?" I ask him and he shakes his hand side to side. "What I know is that the leader wants you dead no matter what. I heard that he went to the same school as you. But by the time he gained the courage to talk to you it was to late and you moved. He looked up to you as a hero." Drake said and I raised my brow. Then it hit me. "He saw that? I thought nobody witnessed that." I mumble to myself. "Do what exactly? I did nothing spectacular in my universe." Drake asked I sighed. "...My sister which is two years younger than me was being bullied and one day the bullies walked up to her and dragged her to a ally. She was then kicked and punched until she was hurting all over but little did they know I was behind them until it was to late. I tapped one on the shoulder and when he turned I punched him so hard he flew back a couple feet. The three other bullies saw what happened and the 'leader' said to teach me a lesson. I knocked the one on the left out and saw the right one grab a bat and swing. I ducked under the swing and punched the kids knee. making him fall to his knee and look up in time to see my fist meet his face. Then the leader grabbed a metal pole and went to do a overhead swing down. I rolled as soon as I saw his shadow and dodged. I then grabbed the pole with one hand and swung at his wrist with me other hand. causing the 'leader' to let go and start to back up. when he finally noticed he was outmatched he flew the coop." I say. "My sister wouldn't let go of my arm. Even when we got home she wouldn't. She even slept in my bed! Of course I let her." I told him. Drake sat there and absorbed the information. I can tell because of the fact he's been quite for a couple minutes. "What are you gonna do?" Drake asked and I shrugged. "I just kinda go with the flow." I say and start walking to the door. "Wait!" Drake said quickly. "What are you gonna do about me? I did attack you. And there were witnesses." Drake asks and I chuckle. "I did nothing to the last two. What makes you think ima do anything now?" I say as I turn around and walk out the door. I walk around to try to find Sora when I felt a dark presence enter the room. "So you gonna keep watching me or are you gonna fight me soon?" I ask the dark presence. I hear an ominous chuckle echo in the room. "What makes you think I need to do anything? Prince of Between." I immediately get into a fighting stance. "So I'll do you a favor and tell you. I won't send anything to attack this world if you come to my lair." He said and dissipated into shadows. I put the keyblade away and notice a piece of paper. It reads Castle Oblivion at tallest tower. I quickly walk towards the exit when I ran into Sora and Twilight. "Tell Celestia I'll be gone for a couple days." I tell them as I continue walking. I hear their footsteps behind me as I walk outside and towards an open area. "Where are you going?" Sora asks but I ignore him. When I get to the opening I was about to summon my keyblade to turn to a glider when I was striked in the back. I turn and see Sora with his keyblade out. "Tell us where your going please? I've never seen you this serious." Twilight asks from behind Sora. "Don't get in the way. I got something to deal with." I tell them and go to turn when I see Sora charge at me. I quickly jump out of the way and swung at Sora. "Don't make me do something you will regret." I tell them I see them both nod at each other. I sigh and prepare to defend myself. They both charge at me, Sora using his swordplay skills and Twilight using magic missiles. I dodge out of the missiles way while parrying Sora. I saw them both quickly charge at the same time and smirk. I jump out of the way and hit Twilight. The hit sent her tumbling forward and groan as she face plants into the dirt. Sora quickly turns and goes to hit me when I parried his strike and strike him in the face. Making him stumble backwards while holding his face. I was about to hit him again to knock him out when a flash happened behind me. I turn and see all my students looking at me. "Are you guys here to try to stop me too?" I ask sadly. When they looked at me. "Why won't you tell anyone where your going?" My mom asked me and I stayed silent. "Why won't you talk to anyone about your problems? What are you hiding this time? What is your plan once you get where your going?" Celestia asks and I turn. I try to turn my keyblade into a glider when one of the students threw a keyblade at me. I dodged because they yelled when they threw it. "Luna you need to learn not to yell if your doing a sneak attack." I say as I turn and point my keyblade at them. I watch Celestia and Luna cast a barrier spell. When a keyblade suddenly hits me and I flew into a tree. I hear everyone but Sora and Twilight gasp. When I get back up I see Twilight up and charging a spell for a missile. I cast Waterga fire it at Twilight. Who quickly replaced the missile spell with a barrier. Sora charged at me again and goes to strike me. I dodge out of the way and swung at him as hard as I could. Sora went flying into Twilight's barrier and shattered it. The feedback didn't help her all that much. I quickly charged and swung at Twilight. When Sora blocked again. This time though I got struck in the back. I quickly jump to the side to dodge another swing. I look to see my sister there. "Why won't you answer us! We're trying to help you!" She yelled and I turned my head away. It'll be better if I go alone. I won't let anyone walk into a trap with me. I look back in time to see Luna charge at me. I parry the attack and jump back to dodge the attack from Celestia. I went to swing but Mom got in the way and parried me. I jumped back before Dad could hit me. I'm starting to get ticked off. I think they noticed by my twitching eye. I look and see one option of winning this. I smile before pulling out a key chain. when I switch the Key Chains out the keyblade changed to a mint green keyblade with a lyre on it. "Thank you Lyra! really glad I helped you out." I say to myself. The Keyblade's ability is that it increases speed and strength. I smirk and charge. The others eyes widen at my increased speed and try to block. only for me to hit Sora in the back and send him flying. I quickly follow him and go to slam him when someone shot a missile at me. I quickly look at the person who shot me and see it was Twilight. "What? Think we would let you do something you would regret?" Twilight said. Then notice the 4 Alicorns charge their horns for an attack. I hear Sora groan and realized what is about to happen. I quickly cast a barrier to protect Sora and the Alicorns shot the laser that combined. The barrier I put up isn't holding up to the laser and noticed them looking to hit me. I notice Sora stand up and look up at me to see the barrier. "Get out of here before they badly hurt you." I told Sora slightly strained as I look to him. "What's happening?" He asks and I sigh. "I pushed a little too hard... the Alicorns all shot a laser at once." I told him and he quickly went to the side. I notice the barrier starting to crack when a idea came to me. I started concentrating and noticed the other soul within me and called to him. "Yes Prince?" The same cloaked person as before showed up. "How does the power of the between work?" I asked and he shrugged. "Can I use it to do something like teleport?" I asked and he nodded. "Sweet! You might wanna go now. I'm about to do something stupid." I say with a sadistic smile and see him shake his head as if he expected something else. Then he vanished as I looked back at them. I noticed the barrier starting to get some cracks I look under the laser and noticed that they were starting to get closer but someone's missing. Where's discord? "Why hello there." I hear from behind me and I jump and swing. "Whoa calm down buddy." Discord said and teleported. I hear Discord tell them I know the location of them. I smirk and started to focus on teleporting behind Celestia. When the spell was done I opened my eyes and teleported. I then quickly swung and hit the back of her head. Cutting off her part of the laser and become wide eyed. When she turned and swung at me I quickly jumped back and quickly hit her hand that's holding the keyblade. Making her drop the keyblade. I then punched her while she held her wrist. Sending her back two feet. Which was enough to alert everyone I escaped and got Celestia "Why won't you tell us where you need to go!?" Luna yelled as she swung at me. "Because if I told you 'Hey i'm going to be walking into a trap be back soon!' You guys would try to follow me!" I yelled and watch her and Sora's eyes go wide and I quickly turn and start running. I turned my head back and saw Twilight following me. I quickly summoned my keyblade and started to turn it into a glider but a missile was shot at me. What was different though was I was starting to hear her wings flap. and her tackle me. "Let me go! If i don't go now I might never get this opportunity again!" I shout. "What are you talking about! What is this opportunity?" Twilight asked. "To end the suffering of my other selves!" I yell and push. She got off me and I quickly jumped to the keyblade glider just in time to see everyone arrive. Author's Note boy it took me a while to try and figure this chapter out... and with my computer starting to glitch out on me making the whole process harder. but I did this and hope you enjoy the chapter. In these next chapters I'm going to show off what I think would be a great addition to the game.
Chapter 17: On the OffenseView OnlineWhen Runes ComeChapter 17: On the OffenseI'm gliding past worlds and see a lot of black dots on them. Like the darkness is trying to swallow them.some had more than others. I decided that if I stop the darkness at it's source then I can save them. I am flying past them when one called to me. It was a weird world to look at but I decided that if something is calling to me from this world then it might be worth the risk. I go down and search for a good landing area. When I jumped down and call the keyblade back I look around the woods when I notice them. In the tree line there was red glowing eyes that screams murder. I stood there waiting to see if they would charge first. When it howled and summon more of them. They started to charge past the gray trees and come at me. When suddenly a girl with a red scythe shows up and blast one of them back. I hear more steps behind me and look back to see a blond haired girl with a mech arm, a princess looking girl so probably a rich daughter with a lot of white, and a girl with black hair and a black bow looking like she's trying to hide something, All waving towards me. "Hey get out of here it's not safe!" One of them yelled to me. I turned and ignored them and see the scythe weilder starting to get pushed back. I start walking towards the battle and ignore their cries until I walked past little red riding wanna be. "What do you think you doing!? You'll get hurt!" I heard red call to me and looked back with a stone face. When I turn back around I noticed they started to come at me. I heard them gasp as one of the monsters swung at me. I deflected the attack with my arm and sent a punch with all my might into the monsters bottom jaw. Hearing it crack and sent it flying. I noticed the other monsters started to change tactics and started to circle me. I notice when I looked to my right that red wasn't looking still. And when I turned around I saw a monster charge at us and push red out of the way before rolling out of danger. I heard it collide with a tree and fall. When I looked at it I noticed it started to disappear. I looked up and grinned at the next one. Iran up to it and punched it hard. sending my fist through it and watching it disappear. I then quickly turned and noticed two next to each other about to charge at red. Then I charged at them two and did the same with the one I just killed. both of them disintegrating into thin air. I noticed the last three are charging at me when suddenly the Blondie flew out of nowhere and hit one of them into the other ones and the princess use magic circles to finish them off. When that was over they looked at red and ran to her. I casually walk over there and ask "Is she okay?". When they looked at me startled they looked at each other and nodded. "As far as we can tell. She doesn't like the idea of not being able to protect innocents." Blondie said and I nod. "She thought I was about to become monster food huh? Well then guess I can't blame her for getting in my way."I say as I turned and look around. "What are you doing out here mister?" Black asked and I shrug. "Something called me here so I'm gonna find it." I say before starting to walk off when I heard red groan. "What happened? Why are the Grimm gone?" I heard her ask the others and notice one trying to follow me. "Stop trying to follow me." I say as I continue but notice that instead of stopping she started to try and catch up with me. "So what is this thing that called you?" I heard a bratty voice ask and I stopped and turned. Noticing the princess was the one following me meant that the only way to get her to leave is to answer her. I sighed and rubbed the back of my head. "Don't know. But it must be important if this darkness is protecting it." I told her and noticed the group starting to catch up. I sighed and accepted my fate of not going alone. "What is your weapon? All huntsmen have one." red asked and the others looking interested in said weapon I didn't use. "Who said I'm a huntsman." I say and look around. I feel like the area should be around here. But I can't tell for certain. "What!!!" All the girls reply. Making my ears ring and start to rub them. "Why are you so strong if you aren't a huntsman?" red asks and I smirk. "I do this thing called self teaching. never was good at remembering stuff. Heck all I know is this darkness constantly tries to kill everyone and Their semi stupid." I say and see them look up in curiosity. "What do you mean semi stupid?" red asked and I sighed. "Form what I remember seeing, there are some Grimm who live long enough to form a consciousness. Not a great one mind you. but they are able to talk to other Grimm." I explain and watch them nod in understanding. I also notice something lurking around here. It's hard to tell how big it is but the darkness seems to move with it. I soon notice the others tense and start looking around as I kept track of the moving darkness. When the darkness was as close as can get I quickly ran to it and threw a punch. I see the darkness then fly back and chase after it. I heard the girls all yell at me to come back but I ignored them and noticed something. I found the entrance that's calling me. I quickly enter and threw a kick at the snake like Grimm.. The snake quickly slithered out of the way and turned to bite me. I jump out of the way and while in the air punch the snake in the head. The head vibrating while I quickly landed. When I noticed the snake come out of confusion and hissed at me. It then lunged at me but missed and hit the wall. When it tried to pull its head back to free it I quickly jumped onto the head and shove a sharp spiky rook into its eye. It roared in pain and looked at me dangerously. It then quickly charged but instead of trying to bite me it started to do circles around me. That's when I notice the girls all come into the cave and see them look at me scared. I suddenly punched in front of me and launched the snake into the wall. While it was confused I ran to it and punched it twice. sending it through the wall and out the cave. I look through the new hole and watch as the body disappeared. I look back in at the girls to see them all sigh a breath of relief. "Sorry about running off. I never leave a fight unfinished." I told them and start to look around the cave when I noticed that in the middle of the room was a weird relic. I walked over to it and spaced out as I wondered what it was. "Jake~~" I heard someone say my name. I immediately go on the defensive when I heard the voice again. "I'm so glad you finally found me~~" She said in the same Singing tone. "Who are you and how do you know my name!?" I yelled out. Then all of a sudden the relic started glowing again. "Who I am isn't important. What is important though is if you pass my test~~" She said and I sigh. this is gonna be a long day. Author's Note well sorry for the cliffhanger but I need time to ensure the 'test' is good. I'm also thinking about switching to third person instead of first person. I was also wondering what some other good worlds are gonna be for the 'relics'. But I only have two in mind that could work. so I need suggestions and any suggestion is good for me. as long as the shows are good. I might also add anime, but im avoiding attack on titan. show's overrated.

"The first trial is to choose a side." The voice said. "Can I choose both?" I ask the voice and feel a look of confusion on me. "What do you mean?" I heard the voice ask and I sigh. "The thing about light and darkness is they both cannot exist without the other. So what's the point in choosing one?" I ask and the voice hum in satisfaction. "You're the first person to ask me this... I guess you can but you'll have to touch both the light and darkness. Are you sure you want your 'friends' watching this?" The voice asks. I froze for a second. I completely forgot they were there. "...They should be fine. Plus they aren't friends as I just met them an hour ago." I say as I step between the light and darkness. "Wait!" I hear one of the kids yell. When I turn and see red coming over. "You aren't doing this alone!" She exclaims and I laugh. "You'll just be in the way kid. why don't you go over and wait with your friends." I tell her and turn to reach them both when suddenly two arms grab both mine. "No! I won't let you do this alone! besides what is the worst that can happen?" She asks and I send her a stony face. She turns confused as I stare at her. "Do you want me to fail? Why are you tempting the universe to fail me?" I ask her. "What did I say?" She asks and I shake my head slowly. "If Ruby is going we're going too!" Blondie says when the rest catches up. I sigh and turn around. Though I can't help but smiling at their stubbornness. "Hey your smiling!" Ruby said and I shake my head. "Your imagining things kid." I say with a joking tone. "Fine you guys want to come then don't blame me for any injuries. And I can't say that I can definitely Protect you guys from anything. Plus if we're going in my mind then you guys are out of your league." I say and turn to look at them. I see them all nod with determination on their faces. "Then let's go. We have a lot of ground to make up." I say and turn away from them. "Hold onto me and I'll grab the elements" I tell them and take a deep breathe. I feel all of them grab my jacket and smile bigger. I grab the elements and see us in a arena in my mind with in the middle my family. The are on their knees and crying. Then they are shot in front of me. And the last thing my sister did was look up and cry my name. and when I look at the people going on next it's my friends from before Equestria. I fall to my knees after they were shot too. And what happened next just teared a hole in me. I see the friends from Equestria all without their wings and horns like they were ripped off. when they were forced to the ground I noticed Luna's belly was bigger than usual. and right before they were killed it hit me. Luna was pregnant.... I feel all my chains on my emotions tremble and then they fired. I felt my fury unleash and before they were killed I got in there and casted a shield spell. When the arrows hit the barrier something weird happened. All the arrows were reflected back to their owners. When they died I see Luna and the others look up to me. And I see a speck of hope return. I then turn beck before They said anything and see about fifty Unicorns come out of hiding and start to charge a spell in their horns. I start to grin maliciously and start walking forward. I see them start to panic until a voice said "We have him surrounded! Don't let that demon walk out alive!" And all of the Unicorns fire their spells. They got a direct hit and see a big cloud of dust. They all start cheering while Luna and my friends started to cry until... I launched out of the dust cloud and had a keyblade out. The thing that's different about my Keyblade was it radiating evil. Pure, unadulterated evil, And it feels good! When all the Unicorns felt the evil radiating off my keyblade they started panicking and firing a bunch of spells. I started swinging and hitting all the magic. throwing it to the side I swung and exploding. When I got close some Earth ponies charged towards me from behind the Unicorns with all sorts of weapons. I swung at the closest Earth pony and sent him flying into two Unicorns. While the Ponies were stunned by my strength I charged past the Earth ponies and towards the Unicorns. When I got to them I quickly jumped and kicked the Unicorn to the right. Sending him flying into another Unicorn as I landed on the Unicorn on my left. I quickly jumped off of him and land on the viewing balcony for royalty and see a pitch black Alicorn. I then launched myself towards the Alicorn. He quickly dodged out of the way and sent a punch my way. I duck under the punch and do a sweep kick. He quickly jumps up and did a downward kick. which I quickly rolled to the side to dodge and swing at his arm. Finally having a hit land. And the hit went through his arm. quickly severing it. He cries out in agony and kneels while holding where his arm was cut off. "Awww what's the matter? Can't take the pain? Well why even bother?" I say as I walk towards him. When I was half way he yelled "Kill the others!" And an explosion went off. When I looked I see Luna falling with a hole in her. I turn and quickly see the others fall as well. And what hurt the most... That they killed five kids. When I look at the dead bodies of my friends my vision started to black out. 3RD PERSON P.O.V. When Jake saw his friends and family die in front of him he snapped. When The black Alicorn stood up and started to laugh at Jake's frozen form he noticed something creepy. There was this shadow coming out of his eyes, nose, and mouth. Suddenly Jake disappeared and appeared above the black Alicorn and threw a punch at him. The black Alicorn flew through seven walls before he stopped. By the time he stood up. Jake appeared through the dust and punched him outside. The Alicorn flew to the other side of the arena before he stopped and turned to Jake. Which was a mistake and got him a giant beam coming at him. "...Buck." Was all he could say before the beam hit him. He cried out in pure agony as he started to burn from the beam. He jumped out of the beam and got struck by Jake who is half way covered in darkness. That's when the Alicorn noticed something. Jake was going to be consumed and laughed. Which got the attention of everyone in the stadium and Jake. "What's so funny?" Jake asks in what sounds like a demonic voice. "Your letting your darkness consume you! That means the elements of harmony will work on you!" The Alicorn yells and started laughing more. That's when they notice Jake start laughing, no, cackling at what was said. Which stopped the Alicorn from laughing. "What are you laughing at? Don't you know that you'll die?" He said as Jake continued to laugh a little longer before calming down. "Don't you know the elements of harmony doesn't kill anyone? There hasn't been a single death from the elements! You want to know something else?" Jake asks the Alicorn. The Alicorn shook his head but Jake continued. "Without light there's no darkness and without darkness there's no light. And what do you know! The worst punishment is to be imprisoned on the moon! Just to wait for a thousand years. But I'll break the seal easily." Jake says and more shadows engulf him. (end of song) Jake then appeared before the Alicorn and decked him in the face. sending the Alicorn flying into the wall behind him. Then Jake charged at him again and threw punch after punch 'til thirty punches later. When Jake stopped punching, the Alicorn fell to the ground unconscious. Jake walked forward and was about to end the Alicorns life when suddenly "stop!!!" When Jake turned he saw the kids that tried to defend him in the forest. "Don't become like him! You don't have to! What would killing him do!?" Ruby asked Jake and the shadows crawling up his body slowly retreating. Jake looks down at the ground as they all stand in front of him. "Well? What would killing him do?"Ruby asked again in a more scolding tone. Making Jake flinch a little and turn away. "It would be avenging my fallen family." Jake said. "More like disappointing your family! What would they think? Did you ever think about that?" Blondie asked. Jake doesn't move and begins to slouch. Until he's finally sitting while holding his legs. His head is down and he starts to cry. for once in a long time someone got him to cry. "We would probably go into a rage too if that was our entire family was killed in front of us. In fact we think that makes you more human than anything else. After all no one is perfect." The Bratty one said. Jake chuckled at that. "I'm not human. I'm a weakling who pretends there is nothing wrong outside in the world. When in all reality I'm constantly around fighting."Jake says as he cries some more when he felt a hand pat his back. When he looked up he say ms. bow tie there with a gentle smile. "Most of us are. And bye the fact that you have a smoother back then most people needing comforting I'm willing to guess you're young." She said to him. Jake nodded and looked into the horizon. "How old are you anyways?" Ruby asks. only to get bopped on the head by princess. "... Well that's sticking with me. But I guess we never introduced ourselves to each other. My name is Jake, Jake Dawson. Nice to meet you!" Ruby stepped up and pointed at herself saying "I'm Ruby, Ruby Rose. And these are my team mates and sisters." She introduced. Blondie waved when pointed to and said "I'm Yang Xiao Long.". The princess bowed when pointed to and said "My name is Weiss Schnee.". When ms bow tie was pointed too she waved awkwardly "My name's Blake Belladonna." "Why?" Everyone turned to the Alicorn. "Why am I alive?" Jake started to chuckle "Because I won't ever have the guts to kill someone. Not if I can save everyone. And that includes the people on the bad side." Jake says as he leans over the Alicorn. That is when Jake notices that the Alicorn isn't a Alicorn. He is just using a shadow form that would be used against him in a fight. "So why an Alicorn?" Jake whispers the question into the 'Alicorn's' ear. Making the fake Alicorn's eyes go wide. "How can you tell?" He asks. Jake shakes his head before saying "It's easy to tell you weren't a Alicorn since you used neither the wings or magic." Jake starts laughing. "...You have a sharp mind to pick that up. Well you passed the trial and since you're unique I'll tell you something." the Alicorn said and got close. "You are gonna need all the help you can get if you think this situation will ever happen. And I'll come to the rescue if you summon me. For my name is Hadria!" Author's Note And that's a wrap on this trial. I had more fun writing this chapter than some other ones because it came from the inspiration of the kick ass song for the fight.
Chapter 19: The Relic of Morality. Trial 2View OnlineWhen Runes ComeChapter 19: The Relic of Morality. Trial 2"...Okay. Now that that's over... How about we go to the next one."I ask the girls. "Yeah! We need to move on so you can take the Relic. Whatever the relic does." Yang said. The others nodded and agreed about moving on. "Now how do we move on to the next trial?" I asked and received looks of confusion. "You need to go through that door over there." Hadria said. we nodded to express our thanks and walked towards the door. "Jake I need to tell you something in private real quick." Hadria called out. I stopped and sighed. I turn towards her and walk towards her. "Yes?"I ask her. "Just letting you know the next trial is really hard. like more difficult than mine. And mine has to deal with your worst fear."She said. I nodded and started thinking. How can it be harder than her trial? "Well thanks for the warning Hadria. I'll be sure to be cautious." I say as I turn and walk back to the door. Before anyone could say a thing I opened the door and stepped in. I noticed the difference immediately. This is my life before I came to be 'Displaced'. I looked through the window and noticed myself when I was ten years old. My house was a two story house with a basement and was painted a baby blue. in the yard was a white fence surrounding the house and a couple of trees. "Was this you as a kid?" Ruby asked me. I nodded and noticed something weird in the corner. There is a pair of yellow eyes in the corner. "Heartless."I whispered to myself but the others must have overheard me. "What is a Heartless?" Weiss asked as everyone was staring at me. I sighed and looked forward. "I was lying when we first met. I'm not from your world." I told them while keeping a eye on the Heartless. "I wasn't originally from your Universe. I was brought here by reading a strange email. The thing about this situation is it can happen randomly. And you could be separated from your family forever if your unlucky." I explained to them. They all gasp and look at me bewildered. "We're you a lucky one?" Blake asked me. I nodded and noticed the yellow eyes disappear and start to panic. When I turned around I noticed my sister in the yard and in the shadows of the tree came out a Heartless. but that wasn't all there was. When I looked at the heartless I noticed something. It was radiating Light. Unlike the other heartless that radiate darkness. When it looked in my direction I saw the eyes were full of fear. And then came to hide behind me. I looked behind me at it in surprise and look back. That is when I noticed it. Behind the tree were a hoard of Heartless. and in the center of the hoard was a Darkside. The girls started backing up when they noticed the hoard. But I stayed right where I was. "Your hiding from them aren't you?"I asked the Heartless radiating light. I see it nod and understand what's happening. "...You brought me out of my Universe to come save you when I took the trial... didn't you?"I asked it. It looked down and nodded. After about a second of being still I turned my head and smiled brightly. "I shall protect you. Simply because you gave me the best life I have." I said and turned towards the hoard. I summoned my keyblade and see all the heartless look at me. I smile and ran. While running through the neighborhood I quickly thought up a plan of action. When I looked back I see the girls are able to keep up but not the Light Heartless. I'll call it light for now. Light was starting to fall behind. I quickly turned around and ran to Light. When I reached it I picked it up and started running again. "What's the plan?"Yang yelled presumably at Ruby. Ruby shrugged and jumped. While in the air she turned and shot three bullets. The bullets hardly did anything and she freaked. "My bullets don't do anything!!" She yelled. "Of course they wont! there is only two things that can hurt them besides a keyblade!" I yell as I take the lead. I turn the corner and see the forest I played in with my friends. "The two things that are able to hurt Heartless are Magical weapons and magic. None of you have magic so the most you'll do is slow them down." I yell to them. "Okay Jake, What is the plan to deal with them? You know more about them than we do." Blake asks. We were starting to get close to the forest. When I look around I see family members running into their houses and locking them like any other frightened human. "...Well first we lure them away from the people. We have been running towards a forest in case you haven't noticed. So step one is complete. Step two is to eliminate the Heartless. I might have to use my special ability." I tell them. My 'special ability' Is causing a GIANT explosion. The same exact spell I used on Drake. Then a idea came to me. "Hey Ruby, Catch!" I yell as I threw my bag at her. I see her catch it as I turn and run into the hoard. "Come at me! I've faced stronger by myself!" I yell out as I charge. I then noticed that it's exactly as I thought. There is somebody in the center under the Darkside. I quickly slash at the person only for my hit to be parried. I then turn and slash at the heartless behind me. I take out three in one strike and do damage to three more. I then spin around and throw a kick at the person. They caught my leg and tried to punch me. I quickly catch his punch and throw another kick with my other leg. I kicked them in the face and they let me go. I fell onto the ground and rolled right out of the heartless' way. The heartless swung and hit the person in the chest. "Agh!" they yelled out in pain. That's when I noticed something oddly familiar about who they were. They were covered in this dark substance. Kind of like how I was when fighting Hadria. "So why are you here? And why are you with the heartless?" I asked him. "Why should I tell you anything?" He asked me back. "So we can try to resolve this peacefully of course." I say and roll my eyes. "Oh so NOW you talk to me huh!? You think you can 'save me' Well think again! I don't want your help Jake." They said and I smiled gleefully. "So why are you fighting me then Dakota? Aren't we family? Plus I protected you before and you had no problem with it then."I tell Dakota. "Well you should have done better! You are the reason my family abandoned me in the first place!" Dakota yelled at me. I feel a lot of murderous intent coming off him. "Is that why you are hesitating? Why don't you leave them. If they left you then that's their problem." I tell him. "So it seems you seen right through me. No matter what I do I can't do it. What should I do about this darkness? You were always the smart one Jake." Dakota asked. "That's easy Dakota. If you think happy thoughts they should retreat. After all I can't have you being all gloom and moody on me." I say jokingly. When the darkness retreated into Dakota the heartless started disappearing. "How did you learn to fight like that?"Dakota asked me. "Well when you train for a long time you get gud real quick."I say and laugh. "What have you been doing? Why are you in this light trial anyways?" I asked Dakota. "I don't know... I got an email saying weird stuff. and when it asked me If I would like to be a guardian I said yes. Next thing I know I was chasing after you. I had a 'script' to play." he explained. I nodded with some satisfaction. When suddenly our surroundings around us started to fade out of existence. Into this void of darkness. "Back to back formation now!" I yell out and everyone starts getting in a circle formation. we hear ominous laughing and all my sins started to crawl. "You know what? This trial was too easy! So let's have some fun, Jake!" A strange voice called out. When it said my name I suddenly felt the urge to run. Whatever this thing is... It's not taking no for a answer. A fist came out of the darkness and decked me in the face. I flew backwards into some of the team and broke my landing. "...Shit he's tough. Be careful everyone! His fist appears seconds before it hits you!" I yell out to them. The all did a sign of acknowledgment. 3RD PERSON P.O.V. The first couple of minutes were rinse repeat of find fist and dodge fist. When an idea popped into Jake's head. The next fist came towards Jake to hit him. Only to get caught instead. The owner of the fist slowly came out of the cover of darkness and started to struggle with freeing his arm. "You weren't supposed to do that!" A teen-like voice said. The person throwing the punches in the first place was a kid... Jake was so shocked that he loosened his grip on the kid. The kid then jumped up and kicked Jake in the face. When Jake flew a little ways back the others were shocked at the power of the kid. He began to think of where he seen the kids face. "...Aha! I know who you are!" Jake yelled out. The kid looked up at Jake and looked surprised that Jake knew him. "Well I know future you kinda. You should know that since I have the thing connecting us." Jake said. The kid's eyes go wide with bewilderment. The went back to the calm look on his face. "Well then. If you know who I will be in the future then you can tell me the answer to what I become." He said and Jake shook his head."Sorry kid but no can do..." Jake paused. then both Jake and the kid say at the same time. After all the rules of time travel is no telling the past of a person something about in the future." The kid looked shock at the fact he said it. "That just proved you are who I thought you are." Jake said. Jake here's a voice speaking telepathically to him. "Nice job Jake... Now you are ready for the solo test." The voice giggled and they were all teleported. Jake is in the middle of the room made of stone bricks. On the outer walls were cages. Three cages and all of them are full of his family and friends. At the wall to the left were his new family. In the middle were the family before getting displaced. On the wall to the right is all my friends. Behind me on the fourth wall was a window with a person on the other side. "Nice to see you awake Jake. Now I'm sure you noticed the room your in and the cages with your friends/family in the cages. See when I press this button the floor will open. and under the door is lava. Now choose which you would rather die than live. You got a hour to decide." The person said through the mic system and left. "Save you family! We're not worth it!" Jake's friends said. "Yeah save your family from before the displacement!" Jake's Equestrian family said. "No! Save your new friends/family over us! We'll slow you down anyways!" Jake's real family said. They went back and forth for an hour. Jake's face without emotions. In fact Jake wasn't even moving. "I'm back!" The captor said through the mic. "So have you decided who's going to die today?" He said. That's when Jake got a idea. "I choose option D." Jake said. Confusing everybody who heard him. "Their is no option D unless you mean..." Their captor froze. After a couple seconds started laughing madly."*Laughing* You cant be serious! You would do that for them? That's hilarious!" Captor said. Making everyone more confused. "Yep. Now let them go. And I'll go with you."Jake said. Making all his companions gasp. "Not unless you go to the center of the room." Jake went to the center of the room. Captor hit a button and opened a trap door beneath Jake.

I quickly summon my keyblade and stab the wall. making me stop 3 feet or something like that above the floor. I quickly jump down and think to myself 'Now where am I?'. I look around the room to see a Medieval type of gladiatorial arena with some modernized tech like light bulbs. And one end of the room has a giant gate/door, While on the opposite end is a tiny door. "You awake yet?" The mysterious figure calls out to me. "Yeah, I'm awake. Can't you tell since I'm standing?" I mock back. "Cute kid. but this isn't about me, this is about you." the figure says while approaching the controls. "So I'm gonna give you a choice. You can choose the big door, Or you can choose the small door. And The door you chooses will release what you're supposed to fight." He yells. 'If I choose the big door then I might en up fight something fierce. But the small door could send out a family member.' I think. Then a thought appears. "I choose the big door!" I yell. The figure opens the door out came a drake. 'Shit... why is Monster Hunter World a thing in this universe?' I face palm. When I look up I noticed the drake isn't moving at all. Like it's trying to protect something. When I look behind it I see a baby drake. 'The drake isn't attacking because it's trying to protect the baby!' "Whoever you are, I'm gonna kill you! You hear me idiot!"I yell towards the figure. The figure starts laughing. "What makes you think you can get past the drake?" The figure asks. I look towards the drake and see a look of concern and fear. 'I need to earn her trust. but how do I do that?' I start to think of multiple ways to earn her trust but one comes to mind the most. I slowly walk towards it. taking careful steps and trying to get closer without scaring her off. I then reach a hand out and try to calm her down more. "Hey, it's ok. I won't let anyone hurt you anymore. But I need you're help. So will you help me?" I ask gently. After a little bit she puts her head into my hand. "Okay, Now the plan is you fly up to the ceiling and try to break it as much as possible. I will go through the door and head up the stairs. We will end up surrounding our captor, Then you can do whatever it is after he gives us the key/password." I tell the drake and see it get this glint of evilness in her eyes. 'Things are about to get wild.'. "Now!" I yell to the mother. Sending her into action and started breaking the ceiling. I ran towards the door and opened it to see stairs and a elevator. I quickly rush up the stairs and by the time I reach the control room the drake is already staring through the window. The figure runs into me, Making the figure fall and look at me. "Please let me live! I'll do whatever you want just let me live!" The figure yells in terror. "Okay tell us where the key/password for the place is. and where other rings like this one are held?" I asked the figure. "The keys are in the office and as far as I know this is the only arena." The figure said. I smiled and turned. "I said I would let you live not me And the drake. Have fun with him." I say to the drake before I shut and lock the door. The last thing he heard from the figure was a scream of agony. I quickly find the office and get the key. I walk back to the control room where the drake and her baby is. "I will be real quick but there is another door down there that might just be worth checking out." I tell them and press the button. What came out surprised me more than anything. What came out of the room is a couple of humans. "Uhhh. Did not expect them." I say stunned. people exited them and from left to right is Kairi, Axel, Roxas, and Xion. I see them look around confused so I jump down to them. When I hit the ground the all summoned their keyblades and got into battle stance. "Easy there guys. I don't want to fight any of you." I tell them Kairi lowers her guard and walks up to talk. "And how can we trust you aren't working for the one that kidnapped us?" Axel asks. "Well me and the drake just finished toasting him Axel." I say. Getting them all on edge. "How do you know us?" Kairi asks. "Well Kairi, I'm from a different universe obviously. And no Roxas, I'm not gonna say what universe." I tell them. They chuckle at the whole predicting what was gonna be asked next. "Well if you know us then you should probably introduce yourself." Xion says. "Nice point Xion. I'm Jake, The 'self-taught' Keyblade Master." I say as I bow. When I look up to meet their faces their expressions were so good I started laughing. "Boy you guys should see your faces. You guys are fun to hang around. Now if you excuse me I got a drake and her baby to guide out. If you want your freedom back then come with me." I say as i turn and walk away. I hear their footsteps behind me and one of them is catching up. "So Jake why are you here?" Roxas asks. "My BBEG is a jerk and trying to kill me for a reason unknown." I say and he looks at me confused. "BBEG stands for big bad evil guy. And he's probably the reason you four are here." I tell him. A look of understanding crosses his face as he nods. "We were looking for Sora when all of a sudden we were knocked out. So any clue on who this guy is?" Roxas asks me. I shake my head and think. "Sorry but no. But I've beat all his goons he sent me to kill me. I've even got them on my side." I say and turn the corner where the drakes are. I wave at them when I see them. I heard the footsteps from everyone stop. I guess seeing a drake is still scary. I pet the snout of the mothers and say "Let's get a move on. and don't worry about our new friends guess they didn't believe me in the whole drake situation.". I then turned to face the others. "Come on. The way out is up ahead." I yell to them. When they got close enough I turned to the hall way and started going through it. 1 Hour Later Ah it's nice to be outside again. When I got outside I noticed the surrounding area felt off. I noticed the others also noticed it and started looking around. My instincts kicked in and jumped back as a tiny crater became visible where I was. "Stealth sneaks!" I yell as I was knocked a mile away from the rest. before the others could check on me a little dome appeared around me. Then a DTD opened up and out came a cloaked figure. "So you finally made it Jake." The figure says and I noticed the others are perfectly fine now. As an invisible thing hit me again. sending me into the dome. "You really shouldn't take your eyes off the enemy now." The cloaked figure said as he swung his arm. I then jumped as I see wind slash where I was. So we weren't attacked by a stealth sneak. "Ok who are you?" I ask the cloaked figure. he chuckled and shook his head. "That's a question i'm not answering. Especially to someone like you working for the enemies.". The figure then swung at me again. I dodged and threw my keyblade at him. The battle is on. He dodged my keyblade and swung at me again. I dodged it but he swung again and sent me into the wall. I saw the others banging on the dome to try and help me. I quickly get up and charge at him, swinging multiple times. He dodged them all so easily then he swung his arm at me. the wind hitting me since I was close. I quickly searched through my mind for something to sway the battle. Then it clicked I haven't tried magic. "Lucidity!" The guy in the cloak blew up and his hood flew off. The person I was fighting is my friend Tracy. "Well then... This isn't unexpected." I say looking at Tracy. He reached his hand up and noticed the hood off. "Damn. I didn't expect you to find me out so easily. Especially since I knew me sources for this info I got was wrong. But seriously? You caused me to explode? Well guess I wasn't going easy on you." Tracy said. I laugh and put my arm around his shoulders. He's a little shorted than me so it's cool. In fact I did this all the time with him. "So why did you team up with the BBEG? trying to find us and was sent to 'assassinate' me?" I asked he nodded and laughed. "Well I knew you would be stronger by the fact that when I was given a question to ask for free I asked where you went and what universe. When I read KH I rolled my eyes." Tracy said as the dome vanished. I could feel the confusion radiating off the others. "Oh yeah, Tracy meet the people that was trapped in the arena where we were meant to fight each other but broke out instead. guys and drakes This is my friend Tracy. He's a friend from before the multiverse kidnapped us into it." I say. They are still confused on some parts but they nodded. "Good job Jake. You passed the trial." Says a voice behind me. I chuckle and turn. "Thanks for the fun trial Light." I could feel the eye's of everyone on me. "So what are you gonna do now?" Light asks as they appear before me. "Well I'm gonna continue going after the evil mastermind that keeps sending his pawns after me. Then I'll try to find the other relics after relaxing with my new and old family." I say. They nod at me and smile. "You are worthy of both of both parts of the relic of morality. if you need me pray to me and i'm Apollo." They said as the disappear. "Whelp let's get everyone home I guess. And by home I mean my home. there's people waiting for you there." I say and equip the lunar blade keychain. and turn it into a glider of six. When everyone got on I turned to the drakes and say my goodbye then leave to Equestria. Author's Note So what does everyone think of the chapter. I've been busy so I couldn't really work on it as much as I want. Also the lunar blade keyblade is the keyblade Luna gave me.
Chapter 21: Reunited at last.View OnlineWhen Runes ComeChapter 21: Reunited at last.The first thing I do when I get is go to Twilight. She was the one that heard me say it and is probably going to be running around trying to figure out what I meant. I knock and back up as Spike opens the door. "Oh hi Jake. why are you here?" He asks me and i rub the back of my head. "Long story but can my guests and I come in?" He looks behind me to see 5 people behind me. Afterwards he nods and moves out of the way. I walk in and sit on the couch. "Where's Twilight?" I ask him. "She's currently in the basement. She started looking into the strange energy after panicking about what you meant. What did you say to make her freeze like that anyways?" He asks me. "Oh you know. walking into a trap. trying to save my other self's in the universe." I say getting multiple questioning looks. I sigh and face palm. "Who here knows the multiverse theory?" I ask. Only spike raised his hand. "Cool Spike. It's that." I say making him go wide eyed. "Now then do you have a book on the multiverse theory?" I asks. "Yeah. I'll go get it real quick." He says as he runs into the hallway. When he returns I see a book in his hands. "Ok the multiverse theory is in there. But that is the simplified version. It's really hard to explain." I say as I get up. "Alright while they are reading that Spike can you take me to Twilight? I have a feeling the sooner I tell her I'm back the better." I tell him. As we walk through the halls I start to recognize the walls have a little pattern to them. Makes the castle feel better than the one in Canterlot. We quickly arrive at the door and I knock. "One second!" Twilight yelled. I wait until the door opened and out came Twilight in a lab coat and glasses. "Sup." I say. She blinks twice then starts glaring. "Sup. SUP! Is that all you have to say for yourself!!! We were so worried about you that it took me a couple of days before I started to work on the project! And you have the audacity to say Sup as if nothing was wrong!" She yells before she calmed down. That entire rant got me up against the wall and hugging it. "Heartless I can face but I don't think I'll ever be ready for stuff like what you did." I say as I'm still hugging the wall with my back. Twilight just deadpanned at me and sighed. "So what progress have you made on tracking the energy?" I ask her. I see her eyes sparkle and ignite with studious curiosity. "Oh the Energy that brought Sora was weird and Interesting. I was like it Defies reality and was constantly attacking the magic in the air. And whenever someone get's close to it they will get Energized as if it's protecting life but doesn't like perfect control. So it's trying to get rid of the magic so the weather and stuff like that can go back to normal. But at the same time It's only in that area. As if it's trying to defend something." She explains. I only understood a fourth of it. But the last part interested me. "Ok. but have you managed to see if the energy was somewhere else?" I ask her. She nodded and turned around. entering the lab and a second later brought back a piece of paper. These are the coordinates. He appears to be around the dragon lands." She says and I froze. I guess she noticed that I tensed up. "Uh you ok Jake? What's wrong?" Twilight asks. I turn to her and tell her "If Riku landed there then won't the dragons try to fight him? since you know, their territorial?!" I yell and she goes wide eyed. I quickly rush outside and transform my keyblade into a glider. As I hopped on I felt someone get on and notice Twilight on here. "Your not doing this alone. not everything can be handled yourself." She says. I sigh but nod. The we go towards the dragon lands. "So anything I should know about the dragons?" I ask Twilight. "Their dragon lord Ember is small but tough. She also found friendship with us ponies. And while not all dragons agree with her. She still put up quiet the fight. She should also be able to help us out with this Riku. But the most troublesome ones are garble and his little gang. He's a red dragon about teenage size just a little taller. His orange crest looks like the lunar guard helmets." She says as we arrive. When we landed I noticed all the dragons looked at us in curiosity. While looking I noticed that most were hiding an emotion. I can't tell what the emotion is until a bright blue dragon came towards us. The dragon was a female and had a staff and crown. "So you must be Ember am I right?" I ask. She puffs and asks "What is it to you?". I guess this is Ember. "Have you seen a person like me but with white hair and green eyes?" I ask her and I could see a spark of recognition in her eyes. "Are you a friend of his?" She asks with a lighter-ish tone. "You could say that. Can you show me where he is?" I ask her. "Come right this way." Ember then turned and walked back the way she came. When We entered the cave I noticed Riku looking at us. "Hey Riku you have guests." She says as I wave. "Hey Riku can we talk in private?" I ask him. "Sure. follow me." He says as we walk around the corner. I could tell he is tense so let's do something stupid. "Sora says hi." I say freezing him. I stop in front of him. "Ok so the situation is Sora arrived shortly before we found you. I guess the energy wanted you two safe for whatever reason. but right now, I'm on a tight schedule so anything I need to know before i unite you, Sora, and Kairi." I tell him. "The heartless are here in the dragon lands. in fact the dragons would be dead if I didn't arrive when I did. And for some reason my gummi phone isn't working." He says. I nod then start to think. I think the gummi phone won't work here because of the natural energy of this place. but once we get to where my home is then it should work. and leave the heartless problem to me." I say as we start heading back. When we got to the main part of the cave I went to Twilight. "Ok you are going to go back with Riku and reunite the however many people there. I'll be there in a little bit. I got some stuff to take care of. then I'll go back." I tell her. She nods and goes to Riku. "Pack your stuff if you have any." Riku shakes his head and says "Sorry but I don't have anything.". When they were about to leave I walked towards them. "First off twilight do you know how to teleport long range?" I ask her. "Yes but with how far we are I would be out of mana." She tells me. "Here take a part of my mana. It will help keep you up a little bit. and with it almost night time then you will get to sleep. after getting the rest of the quests to sleep. Oh I forgot to tell you but you will have 6 more guests to room until they decide to come with me." I tell her. She grinned at the borrowing my mana part. But glared at me for the extra guests part. "Ok well here you go. take some mana and go to your home." She sighs and takes some mana. The next thing I know. they're gone and I'm in the same room with Ember. "I guess proper introductions are in place. I'm Jake. And I'm a keyblade master." I say as I bow. "As you know I'm Ember. but please no need to bow. you aren't a dragon." She says and I release my bow. "Now then. How many dragons have the capabilities to fight?" I ask her with a giant grin on my face. sending a shiver up her spine.
Chapter 22: AmbushView OnlineWhen Runes ComeChapter 22: Ambushafter a year of training. "Alright. You guys should be able to hold off on your own." I say looking at the arena full of trainee's. It's about a meter in diameter and about as long as two football fields. There are ten dragons in front of me. I look at my two best key wielders. The first one is black with a blue stripes, and has deep sea blue eyes. The second one is red with a blood red stripes. I learned that the one's with stripes are better in skills. "I want you two to continue training the rest here. I got a home to get back to. And as much fun as it is training you lot I got some guests around home." I say then I look at the last dragon. "I know you can get stronger so keep trying. And I'll tell you a secret." I lean in to his ear. "You are a diverse user. Which is really rare." I then straighten out and back off. I salute to the dragons and get on my glider and head to ponyville. three hours later. I am about half way home when I get blasted in the back. The surprise and pain is too much for me to concentrate. So the glider transformed back into a blade. When I hit the ground I start looking around for the instagater of the battle. Suddenly I see light behind me. I turn around and block just as a blade was swung. I throw them back and jump back. The figure is wearing a robe that makes them hard to make out. I hear whistling behind me and dodge to the left. I fire ball flew past me and hit their partner. "Two versus one isn't fair you know?" I say as they regroup. "Like your any better ey, Jake?". The first figure says. I mean he's not wrong there. I'm literally recruiting a army for only one person. Ponyville is too far for them to see the flare. Hey maybe now is a good time to test the mail spell I'm working on. I pull out a price of paper and start writing on it. "What are you doing?". Second figure asked. "Oh you know. Thinking of new ideas for spells and such. Like a mail spell to send this letter for reinforcements." I say as I send the letter then I take a battle stand. I charge and swing at the first figure. He moved out of the way when the second figure hits me. I cast lightga and retreat. One casted shadow and the other casted waterga. I cast barrier to absorb the damage and fake a swing to cast firega. I hit both of them and they are sent back. In the corner of my eye I see Celestia and Luna. I cast flare to signal my location to the sisters and block a strike. Number two then casted airga while number one shot firega. I cast barrier then I casted airga on my keyblade. When I swung the wind would make a longer slash. I kept swinging to distract them while the sisters caster firega at the same time. Making a explosion of fire on the figures. Knocking them out for a bit. I get my rope out and tie them up. "Hello Celestia, hello Luna." I say to them while I finish tying them up. When I got up and turned I got tackled by the sisters asking a million questions about my safety. "Hey I'm fine. I sent the message the second I had an idea of how out matched I was." I tell them to calm them down. They both calmed down but continue to hug me. "Okay then. How was the dragon lands?" Celestia asked me. "It was fun! I got to fight dragons!" I say excited. They both giggle then look from the direction they came from. "Guess our ride's here." Luna says as I hear wings flapping. two hours later. As I am looking down at ponyville I see twilight and her friends having a picnic. I look at the sisters and point them out. "I'll be right back. Besides it's a good chance to see if twilight is slacking." I say and slowly get into the tree their next to and jump down behind twilight and flick her. "So you don't keep your guard up huh?" I say. She jumped at the scare I did and started rubbing where I flicked. "Guilty." She says as she gets up. "So how has your day been Jake?" Twilight asked while the others look amused by our interaction. "Oh you know. Training dragons to weild blades against the heartless. While being ambushed on the way here." I say nonchalantly while worry popped up on her mind. "And before you ask I'm fine. Nothing like getting ambushed from two figures in hoods. Bright side I got to test a new spell I'm working on." I say to calm her down. I look over at the rest and ask, "Well before I go... How long did it take to get her out here.". Twilight started to sweat a little. "Well for one thing, most of the time you were gone she locked herself away doing experiments for you. And secondly she almost didn't come if Spike and Sora didn't force her by locking the basement." Rainbow said while twilight slowly started to sweat more. I lean my back on the tree and hum. "Twilight... I have decided your not allowed to work for two weeks." I say. She nods dejectedly and sighed. "Now I'm going to get to Canterlot for interagating the two that ambushed me. Once I get done I'll probably check on Sora's group. Who knows what I'll find." I say as I summon my glider out. I then continue to Canterlot. Chapter 23: interrogating plus the return to crazyView OnlineWhen Runes ComeChapter 23: interrogating plus the return to crazyThe first thing I did when I got to the castle was go to where we would interrogate the assaulters. I'm going to call the hoods for now cause I'm too lazy to say the whole thing. Once i entered i got in the chair and started writing down ideas for integrating spells. Since everything magic related comes from the same source then there must be a way to get any combination of spells. But the problem is how the Keyblades convert the magic on the outside into Mystic Arts. The first thing I noticed when I started experimenting with magic that it's the keyblade somehow converting magic. lets put it like this so people who don't understand the complexities of magic is that the magic in the air all around the world of Equestria is a more 'pure' form while the magic in the keyblade is converted to 'diluted' magic. it's like trying to mix salt water with fresh water. It just doesn't help because unless your dehydrated the salt will just get rid of the water in the body. So there is a couple of ways to solve the problem but... I'd rather not kill a Unicorn or Alicorn just to upgrade my magic capabilities. So while jotting down ideas I got a good guess of how to solve the unicorn issue. But for now they will have to wait seeing as how the hoods are waking up. So I put the paper away and looked at the hooded people with caution. "I see you are awake. So let's start with the easiest questions and then you can leave and do whatever. Just know the next time you get caught you wont be so lucky." I said. That seemed to wake them up since I doubt they remembered getting knocked out. They just seem to stare at me before shaking their heads. "Who are you and why are you here?" I ask. I know they were probably sent to attack me. "..." One of them mumbled. I couldn't even register the words he said. "Maybe talk louder instead of doing a Fluttershy impression." I deadpan at them. I'm guessing the other one spoke because it changed from female to male. "He said we were sent here to kill you. and we aren't comfortable sharing names." the male one said. I nod my head and lean forward to rest my head on the table. "Ok then, How about the whole 2v1 thing? Did he send two solo or are you two a packaged deal?" I ask them while wiggling my eyebrows. Both of them started to sputter and after they calmed down the female one yelled "We aren't together! we met each other a year ago!" I laugh at how defensive they got and shake my head. "I'm just messing with you. plus you don't have that couples vibe going for you. Beside all that has happened do you think I would just let you get away with the best ambush so far?" I say making them look at each other before asking "That was the best ambush on you so far?". I think back to all the other times i got ambushed (and no i don't count heartless.) "The only other one that stands out is when i first got attacked but that doesn't even count as a ambush." I say waving off the encounter. What i said judging by how their body signs are showing is that they are proud at being the best ambush. "Why did he send you two together? Usually he only sends one. So what changed? my best guess would be he's getting impatient.". i say to the two. It looked like they weren't going to respond then the female one said "We aren't actually sure but he sounded pretty mad. And he was planning on sending three but the other guy convinced him not to.". I was a little surprised by what they said. I decided that I will let them go and head up to the princesses. Since I finished the investigation before dinner would start I went and took a shower. the bad thing about the Dragonlands is that there is no showers so you had to deal with the grime. After a nice and relaxing shower i noticed that dinner is about to start. I went to the dining hall and noticed that the princesses were already there. "Hi Celestia, Luna." I greet as I take a seat. "Hi Jake. How did the interrogation go?" Luna asked. "It went swimmingly enough. I decided that it would be best to let them go. So they are wherever they are." I said as they nod and hum. Not long after that the chef walked in to ask what we'd like. Luna got a salad with tomatoes and cheese with French dressing, with a moon pie for dessert. Celestia got stir fry with all sorts of veggies, and a slice of cake for dessert. "And what about you Mr. Jake?" he asks looking at his sheet of paper. "I'll take a sandwich and baked potatoes, with apple pie as a dessert." I tell him and pull out a piece of paper. "What you got there Jake?" Luna asks while Celestia looks up a bit. "I'm trying to integrate a feature into the keyblades. what I'm trying to integrate is a surprise though." I tell her and start writing ideas as to how to incorporate magic into the keyblade. When I notice Luna trying to peak I swat her on the nose with a folder causing her to back up and scrunch her muzzle. She is now very clearly irritated by that and goes to pouting in her seat making me and Celestia chuckle. That is when I noticed that Merlin was about to enter and got up with the paper to ask him a question. When he opened the door he greeted everyone then noticed I was here. "Hi Jake, How did it go?" I shrugged and said "It's alright. I brought some guests to Equestria and got ambushed on the way here. Good thing my experiment worked in my favor there. But I have a couple of questions I'd like to ask really quickly And here is the paper with my ideas on it." I then passed him the paper regarding trying to get a magic reservoir inside a keyblade for regular magic. He looked over the paper then I saw the curiosity in his eyes start turning to imagining it. "I can see what your trying to do. Do you mind if I keep this paper and any others you might have on the subject and get back to you?" He asks with what I think is determination. I think about it for a second and nod my head. Giving him my research ideas and then pull out a list. "This is the only page that is out of the question on doing. I'd rather not have enemies in the public." I tell him and hand him the page. When he reads about the stuff on the page like using a unicorn horn and other morbid stuff he agreed with what I said. My students started entering one by one in for dinner and once everyone was there i filled them all in. The thing that caught Merlin's attention was the mention of a artifact. "So what was the Artifact you found? A lot of Artifacts used to power up people with all of them powering runic arts to unforeseen levels of power.". I shrugged and said "It was Morality. And let me tell you the bish set up different trials depending on what you chose. I pressed both buttons at the same time and went through the trials. And I'm not explaining the first trial at all.". Once i finished the dining room door opened and in came Tracy. "Hi Tracy! how have you been since you got here?" I ask him. "It's alright... though i don't know how someone like you got on the princesses good side." He responded. "Says the nut job." I shoot back. "Touché." Tracy said as we laugh. "Oh Tracy! my family is here. I forgot to tell you when i found you and figured you'd like to see them." I say as I point behind me. he looks over my shoulder and waved. "We can talk during dinner. so what are you going to do? i assume you finished your dinner?" He asked me. "I'm about to start training again and yes i had finished my dinner. Once you finish your plate and catch up I will see you whenever." I say to him before turning to the rest of the people here and saying "Luna do be a dear and come to the guard camp~" I then left them wondering what I would need her for. I've decided to play a war general for a second in the war room as I waited for Luna. I am currently looking at a map of Equus. Luna shows up and asks "What's wrong? you seem... Nervous?". I took a deep breathe and exhaled. "You realised that because of the Dragonlands I learned that there are heartless attacking other places on Equus. Therefore about to have to go out again right?" I state. I let the info sink in for a minute. "Then why don't you finish our training before you go so we can worry about the while you travel the universe?" Luna asked. Then an idea popped into my head and i nodded. I turned to Luna and stated proudly "Princess Luna, Co-Ruler of Equestria and guardian of the Moon and Dreams! I, King Jake, Ruler of the Between and Protector of balance challenge you to a duel!" I say and slam a keyblade into the ground. Sending out a shockwave to draw attention from everyone in a 5 km radius. Luna took a minute to steel herself. Not expecting the formality from me, the use of titles, and the force of the command to decide. " I, Princess Luna, Accept your challenge." She says and also slams her keyblade into the ground in front of her. Sending out her own shockwave. Once that happened a contract appeared before both of us telling the rules of said battle. It is happening tomorrow at daybreak where ever the challenger wants it. "I will meet you at the Everfree Castle, until then." I say then leave with a wicked grin on my face. We're about to get messy. And we get to show off how much we learned. But I'm no fool. For now I'll show just how much of the fool people think I am... after all no one expects a king to do nothing while there's imbalance in the world.

Chapter 24: Prep For The Duel And A Challenger.View OnlineWhen Runes ComeChapter 24: Prep For The Duel And A Challenger.After the declaration of the challenge I went to my room to think about how best to go at Luna. You see Luna's Mystic Arts and Magic are equal in what her specialty is. since she's the more 'Combat' specialty of magic then she is more capable to land heavy and fast blows. Also her greatest Mystic Art/Magic element is 'Shadow' class meaning her spells will allow her a lot of mobility. And with how much she has used the other elements of Magic she will be able to use the other Mystic Arts too. But I have been working on another way to 'level' the Playing field. You see there is only one thing I noticed while teaching her to fight. She uses her wings way too much. And that is the weakness I'm going to take advantage of. so once I packed everything I need to prep the environment I went off into the Everfree. Once there on the edge of the castle I got to work writing specific runes around the arena. One thing me and Luna share is our maneuverability. That said it's a lot more 'essential' for Luna's style of combat. While maneuverability is essential to any Key Bearer they also realize that flaw early on and come up with a backup. that is where the differing styles of Keyblades come into play. like for staying agile but not wanting to stay close is the 'blaster' variant for the run and gun type people. There is the 'defense' variant and the chakrams do the whole 'defense is the best offense' deal. There's the 'offense' variant which is the spear. I think the defense variant is what I'm gonna go with, or I'll switch in the round to throw Luna through the loops. I finished setting up the runes and notice the sun is setting so I decided to head to one of the old bedchambers to get some sleep. When I step in to the throne room I feel a presence behind me and turn seeing this miasma creeping into the room. "Look what we have here. A little plaything that wishes to stay. how sweet, not." They said before lunging to attack. I dodge to the left and brought out my keyblade the Miasma is slowly forming into a alicorn, one that seems familiar. Then I remember the dream when I first arrive "So what are you doing here nightmare?" I ask while dodging a attack. 'The more I dodge the more aggressive she's getting, I might have to parry some attacks now' I note in my head. "I'm here to... 'liven' the place up. But I can't do anything till I get rid of the new 'Protector' of Equis." She says and goes for three more strikes. I parry her attack causing her to stumble then I struck her legs causing her to fall. I had to back up the as her mane tried to grab me. As she is recovering I noticed one of the keychains glowing. 'I'm about %90 sure that it wants me to use their form, that or they are weakening her.' I thought to myself and decided to switch to the keyblade. Once I grabbed the keychain a explosion of light happened and blinded both of us as I heard whispering. "Let us aid you against the corrupted." another voice whispered "With us you shall never be alone.". Before I knew it I was float in the air as seven more keychains appeared but that wasn't what surprised me. what surprised me was the keychain connecting to it. I reached for the keychain and put it on making a brand new Keyblade. I've decided on harmonious spirit to be the name and something weirder happened. I felt a sensation from the blade and then when the glow dimmed I saw the avatar of the goddess of harmony standing before me looking intrigued. "Hello?" I ask her and she seemed startled that I was able to talk to her. "Are you talking to me?" She asked curiously. "As far as I know you're the only rainbow crystal pony in front of me." I responded which led to her being in a deep shock. "I didn't know that the ponies took crazy ponies as their protectors." Nightmare said tauntingly trying to provoke me to attack. "I didn't know nightmares found a weakling like you to be strong." I taunted back while looking at the nightmare. the look of rage was hilarious. I started laughing which got her more angry and lunged at me. I ducked under her lunge and heard a large crash as she went through the wall. "You are too easy to play with moony." I taunted again as she looked back in unadulterated rage and hatred. she teleported behind me and kicked me causing me to fly forward. I stopped my unwanted but well deserved flight and when I saw her fire a magic blast I countered with Reflectga which shot it back at moony who barely ducked in time to dodge. I decided that I need to finish this if I want the duel to be fair tomorrow. so I cast light cage on moony. "What type of sorcery is this!?" I heard for moony as I walked through the door while also seeing the avatar laughing. "Man is this great. Hey Harmony or whatever you want me to call you, can you put a spell on her cage? I'd like to rest before the duel for tomorrow and this spell is one of the few I have that needs constant mana feeding into it." i asked as she calmed down enough which got a startled look. "I still gotta get used to this whole being able to talk with someone. but sure in fact it's already done. also you can call me Harmony." she said and lit her horn and floated rocks making them shoot towards moony who cowered in fear at the rainbow aura of magic coming from the rocks. "Wait you mean to tell me you can see the gods!?" nightmare asked shocked and scared for life. "not the first time I've seen gods." I replied. I turned to Harmony and ask her "Is there somewhere in this castle to sleep? I don't remember the layout and don't want to wander all night. Plus I will need to forge something while I'm asleep.". "Right this way. Also think we can talk for a bit? It's just been too long since I've talked to anyone." She asked "I will after tomorrow if I win. There will be a duel between me and Luna tomorrow at noon. Plus I'd like to think on something for a bit before." I replied As we're walking through the castle I have some thoughts to process like how to do a certain spell. there are also borders to the area still. as well as a secret project of mine. I'll just have to try and limit the spell power cause there is no way I'm casting it at max level. As much as it would weaken her I don't want to traumatize her. Then it hit me and I started cackling while entering the room after saying my thanks. Author's Note sorry for the short chapter but i finally got a break from life and am now continuing to work on it. there is a very big surprise in store for the story and it's going to be very tiring writing it.
