Princess Sunburn, the only foal of Queen Celestia and King Sunburst, doesn't see herself as a creature that could possibly lead Equestria one day. In front of cameras and strangers, she pretends to be a sweet, confident maiden, able to command soldiers and cast magic like any royal. But her true self hardly ever is out, unless she's with her best friends, who understand her position.
Then a new mare comes to Ponyville while Sunburn is having a sleepover with Princess Dovey, and Sunburn can't help staring and blushing at her. The mare and her brother don't have any place to stay, so, Sunburn, only doing her duties as an Equestrian princess, invited the two to stay with her. But Sunburn's emotions for the light amber mare begin to go wild and her facade cracks.
