I cannot find a word that can explain the week I had. Sure, I didn’t had school due to my... odd appearance to say the least, but adjusting to this new body was a homework by itself. Also, I had to learn how to use a XBox remote with hooves. At the beginning, it looked impossible, but with time, I realised how I could use my hooves for the triggers and my fetlocks for the four little buttons. Playing Black Ops has never been so complicated.
Anyway, after a week of FPSs that looked like I was playing Ninja Gaiden blindfolded, finally arrived Friday. Tomorrow, I will be able to find the first clue to find out how to go back to normal. Also, the sole fact that I will be watching MLP with my parents was... weird. The secret I wanted to keep for me, ruined by purple liquid.
Talking about purple liquid, I didn’t move the vial from where it was a week ago. I knew that I wasn’t enough agile to move something like that. Also, I didn’t want to know what would happen if some dropped into my mouth by transporting it orally. I didn’t wanted my parents to move it because, in some fanfiction, it can be used by applying it on the skin. Who knows what would happen to them if they accidentally drop it? I sure don’t what to know.
So, it was Friday afternoon. I was browsing on the internet for some... interresting picture made for me (which is not complicated due to all those fan sites containing... creepy pictures) when I heard some knocking upstairs. Because I knew that my parents were there, I went back at my computer. Unluckily, the voice I heard surprised me.
“Hey, is Anthony’s there?” Said the voice. This voice, a teen stereotypical voice mixed a crazy mind. It was none other than my best friend, Nathaniel. The question is, why is he there? I like at around 20 minutes from the city, where he lives. Unless there was some sort of apocalyptic emergency, he wouldn’t even think of standing up to come at my house. Still under a bit of shock by Chrysalis’ attack, I was fearing the worst.
“Yes, but he’s sleeping right now. He is... very sick.” My father answered. I heard a small ‘Ah...’ from Nathaniel. If it would be the real Nathaniel, I knew that he would be satisfied by the answer, but I also knew that he was the most unpredictable foe. Trying to predict his moves is like trying to predict where the wind is going to blow next.
“It was a bit obvious that he was sick, but I didn’t know it was that severe. Is there a way I can personally give him this gift.” He said, surely pointing a gift in his hand or something. I was wondering if I should remove my cover and gamble if he is the real one. He would understand... I think... my story of what happened. He saw my fanfiction and knew the basics of it, including the ponification serum. If he’s the true crazy dude that I know, he will trust me.
I pushed the computer away and started trotting up the stairs. The only sound of my hooved on the wooden contraption was enough to tell my father that I want him to come. Unluckily for him, I was faster than his sense of deduction. I was popping my head off the corner of the stairs, just enough to see my father, but not the young man.
“He can see me, only if he can answer one question.” I said mysteriously. Normally, my father would have stopped me, but he knew that I was suspicious. I searched through my head for something that only me and him would know, but also so random that, even under torture, he wouldn’t even think telling the changeling the answer.
“What do you mean?” Nathaniel asked. He started walking toward me. Well, that what it looked like from my perspective due to the fact that I was only able to see his shadow. I also saw that my father stopped him from going further until he answered the faithful question. After seconds of searching, I found a question, a single word, that could tell me if the Nathaniel in the hallway was the real one.
“Mountain?” I asked him. A normal person wouldn’t think that this was a question, but for Naruto fans like us, this word is used in the right occasion. This ‘question’ was used by a captain of the hidden steel’s samurai in the Ninja War from Naruto Shippuden. It was used to know if the man under the shining armor was part of the samurai army.
It took a lot of time for Nathaniel to find out what I meant, but when I heard a ‘Ooh!’, I knew that he found the answer. “River.” He said bluntly. I nodded, even if I knew that nopony saw, and allowed him to come closer. My father let him and suddenly, he saw me. Quoting from my favourite dragon-pony-bat thingy, his face was PRICELESS! I knew that it would be funny, but not that much. I was chuckling at his reaction, but he was speechless.
He looked at my bedroom, which is up the other set of stairs and started shouting : “Nice joke, Anthony. WHERE ARE YOU.” I continued laughing while looking at him. I walked the rest of the stairs and stood up on my back legs. I placed myself on the side of the wall, looking swag, and started talking.
“Yo wassup? And I refuse ‘the roof’ for an answer.” I said while chuckling a bit. He looked at it with a dumbfounded head. I’m sure that I broke the fourth wall of his own reality. I wouldn’t be surprised if he would starts hitting himself, saying things like ‘am I insane’. On the opposite, his answer was the least obvious one.
“Ooh, now I understand why you weren’t in school.” I looked at him and thought about facehoofing, facehoofed in my head and facehoofed in real life. I tried my best to make a ‘you don’t say’ face, like before when I used to be a human. It sure looked weird, but at least, he understands the message.
“Can I say something?” I asked him. Whatever the answer, we both knew that I would say it anyway. “No shit...” He smiled at me and we started talking about our crazy week. Obviously, mine was more crazy-packed.
We both took some chocolate milk and went downstairs. He took the glass with his hands while I took mine with my muzzle. I was first when we arrived in the corner of the stairs, in the middle. Nathaniel kind of disconnected from reality for a second, leaving his body in automatic. This caused him to miss a stair and spill his milk in the most unlucky place, in the fur all around my cutie mark.
“Arg, dang it.” I shouted. His eyes went wide and help me dry off with his napkins that was in his pocket. The question is, why was there napkins in his pocket anyway? I shouldn’t try to find an answer, it’s almost impossible. He kept repeating how he was sorry for doing this, even unconsciously. He also asked if he could do something to help.
“Well, you could clean this mess while I go clean myself.” I said while looking at my butt. It was a mix of blue and brown, looking sick. I shook my tail to remove the maximum and went upstairs in the bathroom. During this time, Nathaniel started cleaning the mess in the stairs.

“I don’t understand how it happened...” I wondered. It looked like my mind disconnected from my body and made me drop my milk. First of all, it was a waste of fresh chocolate milk that could have been in my mouth. Secondly, it fell on my friend.
After countless paper towels, I finally cleaned the mess. I didn’t know why, but it looked less complicated beforehand. Also, I was still thirsty and my only beverage is gone. I looked around for something to drink and, to my surprise, there was some kind of grape juice laying on the middle table.
I took the glass, which looked like a vial for an unknown reason, and smelled it. It smelled like artificial sugar grapes, almost like Kool-Aid. I let drop some drops on my tongue. It tasted like fake grapes, but sugary fake grapes. Not caring anymore, I chugged the whole thing until the last drop. Suddenly, I felt my eyes slowly closing, like if I drank some sort of fast acting sleeping pills.
“What did... I... drank..?” I fell asleep faster than you can say ‘chocolate milk’.

This... was... hell... I never knew that chocolate milk was that... sticky. What was in this chocolate milk? Honey? We’ll never know, but it looked like liquid when it was on the floor. After another 10 minutes of drying myself, I went downstairs to join Nathaniel. I don’t know why, but the basement was silent. Too silent.
I descended and saw a vision that will haunt my dream for the rest of my life. I saw Nathaniel, or more like Nathaniel’s body. It was white, like a ghost. It was also so distorted that, without his trademark multiple glasses, I wouldn’t recognize him. Also, his hands were a mix of pony’s hoof and human’s hand.
“Wait... hoof?!” I thought. Suddenly, I finally made the connection. I looked in his hand and saw exactly the thing I didn’t want to see, the serum vial. “THAT DUMBASS!” I mentally shouted to myself.
He continued to transform, and I saw every part of it. Let’s just say that, sometime, I wanted to puke. When his body was transforming, I saw that the shirt he was wearing had a hard to cut collar elastic. My first reflex was to jump on his and to destroy it with my teeth. After numerous attempts, I managed to cut his shirt, leaving enough room for him to transform.
I placed his monochrome unfinished body on the couch, hoping for it to finish. During that time, I had to find a way to make a cover story for his parents. Telling them ‘Hey, sorry, but your son turned into a pastel colored equine’ doesn’t sound so good. Maybe sending them to an hospital while he stays there.
Without realising it, Nathaniel has slowly been transforming. His long mane turned dark brown and his skin turned dark blue. He woke up while I was still searching solution. His voice stopped my train of thought.
“Yo dude, what happened? I drank that purple stuff and, I swear, my dreams were trippin’ balls.” I turned around and analysed his body. He looked okay, but something made me jealous. He had WINGS ! “I dreamt of Princess Celestia and Princess Luna talking to me about stuff.” I motioned him to continue. Maybe he could tell us if we’re on the right way.
“...she told me that a sheet of paper was the right way to go, but the way was going to be hard as hell. Also, she said something about the element of harmony, but... meh. I wasn’t hearing shizz back there.” I sighed. This was as useful as a bag of potato chips bag in a gigantic buffet. I wished that she had seen what we did already and give us updated tips.
Then, I remembered why I was angry. I looked at Nathaniel and... punched him in the face. “OUCH, DUDE! What’s your problem!?” He shouted at me. The sheer sound startled my parents upstairs. Unluckily, they got curious... and looked downstairs.
My parent looked at us with their mouth agape. “This is not what it looks like.” I said. They still stared at us. Nat and I looked at each other. He knew that the think he drank wasn’t good, but he didn’t understand why.
“What is happening here? Why are you all staring at me?” He asked. I mentally facehoofed at his obliviousness. Seriously, his body went from bipedal and some hair to quadrupedal and hairy as buck. I pointed at his body with my hoof and, again, his reaction was priceless. I mean, what would be your reaction if your whole reality was beaten to a pulp by your friend, but, because of your thirst, you turn into a creature straight from greek mythology.
“Ho...ly... Jesus...” He looked at his hooves and started to shake. His sanity his gone, his manhood is gone...r and his humanity is gone...st. I’m sure that, after this event, he will never be able to get his sanity back. He jumped on the floor, still staring at his hoof. Unluckily, he fell unconscious... on the cement floor. His nose didn’t survive.
Sigh... another problem to take care of. Like if I wasn’t already in deep shit.
