S.T.A.L.K.E.R Call of the Zone
Chapter 2
Previous ChapterNext ChapterRostik Gestav was highly known in the Zone as a highly experienced S.t.a.l.k.e.r who had been in the zone for around two years. He had seen almost everything the Zone had to offer and was pretty much impossible to surprise anymore. Though what he had just stumbled across was probably the most shocking thing he'd ever seen in his years in the Zone. Just ahead of him on the ground, bleeding was a brightly colored horse-unicorn thing with a pair of bright wings sprouting out of it's back.
Rostik was frankly amazed, he'd never seen anything like this in the Zone before, no mutant or anything of the such. It felt almost unreal just looking at the creature , because instead of the gnarly twisted appearance of most of the Zones mutants and abominations this creatures alabaster coat and multi-colored mane just seemed too natural and beautiful to be born from the Zone or the areas around it.
He watched and examined the area slightly checking to see if it was a trap, and some bandit or military kill-team would jump out of the bushes and gun him down. Though it turned out his paranoia was unfounded as the area was completely deserted aside from himself, the unicorn-horse-mutant-thing and a springboard anomaly he spotted around twelve meters away to the side. Once he was confident it was completely clear, he slowly walked out of the foliage he was taking cover in and raised his FN F2000 that he had acquired off of one of the crazed nut-jobs that made up the Monolith that had tried to ambush him during one of his trips to the center of the Zone.
He slowly approached the creature all the while training his gun on it and his surroundings, months of living in the Zone having ingrained a deep sense of constant paranoia in his brain and reflexes. One he got within a few feet of the creature he got down on one knee and checked it's pulse, discovering it had a faint, but quickly fading pulse. At that moment something inside of him determined that he wouldn't let this creature die, something about it just made made him think that it would be sad and pointless for it to die alone in a dark cold path of trees when he had a perfect chance to save it. After a moments more examination he identified anything that the creature could use to attack him with, such as natural body parts. One of the most prominent things being the dangerous looking horn coming off of the things head, which he promptly covered in the only thing he really had available being his spare overcoat for harsh weather, and some duct-tape just in case the thing had some sort of crazy Psy powers that could tear him in half with just a thought. It was impossible to be too careful in the Zone.
After doing his best to make sure the thing couldn't impale him once it wakes up he took a Kolobok off of his belt and held it close to the most major of the it's wounds, watching them slowly stitch themselves back together, pushing shrapnel and grime out of the wounds as they finish closing leaving a healed, if rather dirty coat. After that he places the Artifact back on his belt and removes another artifact nicknamed by STALKERS 'Mama's Beads'. He holds it near the creatures wounds causing any infection to slowly disappear and any left over bleeding to slowly stop. After he was confident that the creature would live he took one final artifact off of his belt, this one was called a Jellyfish by STALKERS and was known for it's ability to drain and heal radiation poisoning. He held it close to the creature absorbing any left over and current radiation that was left behind from the other two healing artifacts.
After checking the creatures - who he had now identified as a her due to a rather embarrassing accident he felt rather confident that she would live, so he picked her up in a fireman carry and started walking towards his nearest safe house, of which he had many in the Zone, as after all. One can never be too careful or paranoid in the Zone.
Normally carrying something of her weight and size would be rather difficult for a normal man, but due to an artifact called a Gravi that he never left took off of his belt and an experimental Exo-suit he had managed to get off of the Ecologists in return for some dangerous work it was as easy as lifting a large fuzzy pillow.
Luna awoke feeling cold. As she slowly lifted her eyelids and started at her surroundings she realized in horror that she was strapped down to some sort of bed surrounded by several tall bi-pedal creatures that seemed to be dressed up in some sort of suit while they moved around her talking in a strange language and huddling around monitors that were connected to long wires...that were connected to her.
As she noticed this she started to panic and flail about on the tail, causing several of the creatures to let out crys of alarm and making one of them slam a hand on a large button on the side of a wall. Within moments a large door on the side of the room swung open and several other creatures ran in holding thick lead batons and small boxy things.

On seeing this she instantly held still, recognizing the similarity between the creatures and the weapons they wielded and the ones that had injured her sister. As soon as she started thinking of her sister she started to despair, her last sighting of Celestia was her sister running and crying in pain all the while loud bangs and blood followed her.
'No...I shouldn't think about that right now. I AM THE RULER OF THE NIGHT AND THESE CREATURES KNOW NOT WHO THEY TRIFLE WITH!' She thought to herself, a small measure of confidence returning to her as she used her pitiful magic reserves to un-clip the latches holding her to the table while the creatures were distracted. As soon as her horn lit up a large alarm went off inside of the room she was in, and something administered a strong and heavy shock to her horn instantly disrupting her concentration and causing her to wail and scream in pain.
"W-What are you foul beasts and what do you w-want with me...?" She asked hopelessness sounding out in her voice as she assumed she was trying to plead with an insane long lost tribe of diamond dogs.
As soon as she spoke one of the creatures in the strange suits whipped around and stared at her.

"You...speak? English? Da....it appears you do...that was a rather pointless question then....Well this changes everything," the thing says in a highly accented voice, excitement clearly radiating off of it's body.
"I know not what this 'English' is. I speak Equish the same of my sister and my subjects and I demand to be released this instants so that I might return to them foul creature!" Luna shouted rage burning in her eyes.
The creature merely chuckled and pulled up a chair sitting down next to her.
"I am afraid we cannot do that at this moment my equine friend. You see you're appearance is something never before recorded in the Zone or anywhere else in the world. Now that we know you are Sapient I admit we can be kinder with out treatment. Though I would ask you refrain from using your Psy or Telekinetic powers around us as most of the men here have had bad experiences with mutants and creatures possessing those particular abilities," The creature says, sounding slightly sympathetic to her.
"You creatures hath abducted our self and injured our sister! You hath gone far beyond being kind or anything similar! There is no reason we should even tolerate your presence! Give us one reason why we should not annihilate you and destroy this pathetic building!" Luna shouted in rage, though in all honesty she doubted she could even throw a rock with her magic in the state she was in.
"Because one you are in no condition to do so my friend, and two this building was made to contain Psy powers and creatures such as yourself. I sincerely hope our next conversation can go better, as I truly wish you no ill will and for what it is worth I am sorry for the shock that was administered to you. Though a little paranoia on our point I feel was justified considered some of the other creatures that have been housed in this building." The creature responds to her seemingly genuinely regretful.
"I can at least offer you this before I go my equine friend. My name is Professor Vladimir Stratus and I wish you would share your own name, so at least next time we meet it may be more pleasant. As again I truly do wish you no harm or ill will."
Luna remained silent for a minute as if considered something before saying and saying. "Our name is Princess Luna, Ruler of the night and diarch of the Nation of Equestia,"
Professor Vladimir Stratus nods at her and writes something down on a clipboard she had just noticed him holding before standing up and walking out of the door. Though he did stop in the door frame and say "I truly hope you have a good rest my friend, as I will have a number of questions for you in the morning. And now that we know you are sapient you will be provided with more comfortable living quarters."
Luna doesn't respond and simply lays her head back against table she was currently strapped down on, allowing the sweet embrace of sleep to take her.
Author's Note
Whoo-hoo third chapter. Things are going to start happening soon I promise my friends! And if anyone is curious the inspiration for this story came to me while I was eating a little cheeki, drinking a little breeki, and I finally decided to go full iv Damke.
In all seriousness I love STALKER and MLP and this idea had been on my mind for quite awhile before I decided to write this out.
Also I am aware that Luna switches in between Yee old English and modern English. This was done on purpose to simulate anger and stress levels raising as she switches in and out of the different dialects.
