The Truth Of The Royal Pet Dragons

After another round with the guard mares Spike when off to find the Princesses. A pair maids informed him they were in their dining room right before they slapped his ass.

On his way to see them he thought about what he would say to them about them having him sleep with a group of guardmares. He fully believe what Celestia had said about his action somehow helping Equestria, even if he didn't understand how. But he still felt bad about sleeping with a group of mares he didn’t even know the names of, and felt even worse about having to hide it from his girlfriends. He couldn't hide something like this from this them even if he wished he could and he had no idea how to tell them or how would will react when he told them that he slept not just with random guards but with the alicorn sisters themselves, at least he had some time to think about it.

At least that is what he thought till he opened the door to the dining room.

"Spikey-Wikey there you are!" Rarity said with a worried smile and she rushed toward him

"Girls?! You're all here?" Spike said clearly surprise and nervous. Why are you here?”

"Yeah,” said Applejack as she looked away while scratching the back of her head.” there a few things we need to talk to ya about sugarcube."

"Well there are some things I really need to tell you all, you see the princesses-"

"Rutted you, ate your ass, had you rut Princess Luna in her sleep, and rut some of their guards." Starlight said interrupting Spike.

Spike’s jaw hung open for a moment before finding his voice. "They told you all of that already?"

Twilight grind. "In detail. By the way why have you never tried fisting me?"

"I liked the part where Princess Celestia ate your ass out. That sounded like so much fun, I have to try it sometime!" Pinkie said with a giggle.

"I didn't like that part. Sounds like you are trying to steal my thing dear sister." Luna said shooting a glare at Celestia.

"Really, how so?" Cadence asked.

"Dear niece let’s just say that silly story the foals tell on Nightmare Night about Nightmare Moon gobbling up backsides may be somewhat based on fact." Luna said while licking her lips, which caused Spike to feel chill go down his spine.

"Anyway none of you are mad about any of this?" Spike asked with scepticism.

"I'm a little ticked at the princesses for having you do their guards." Rainbow Dash said

"Well they did explain that you sleeping with those guard mares was to help Equestria, but they didn't explain how, and I don't see how this tires in with the book." Fluttershy said.

"Book? What book?" Spike asked, which caused the mares to look at Celestia who just rolled her eyes angrily.

"Go ahead and show him that mess." Celestia said with contempt.

Twilight pulled the book from her satchel and threw it to Spike."Rainbow Dash found this a few days ago."

"The Truth of The Royal Pet Dragons?! Is that me?! Is this some kind of history book?!" Spike said very confused about what he was seeing

"A history a book! That is no history book! It's nothing but a bunch of half-truths and whole lies write by a pony supremest who cherry picked bits of historical information to fit her narration while ignoring everything else and didn't bother to give any context to what was going on, and worst of all trying to explain what really happened makes it sounds like I'm defending Majesty!" Celestia said with clear anger in her voice.

"Defending Majesty? Sister is that slur book really that bad?" Luna asked in surprise

"Yes, yes it is." Celestia answered back.

"Uh, what’s going on here?" Spike ask

"I'm not sure Spikey-Wikey, but it seems you are a very special type of dragon." Rarity said

"You mean I'm one of these royal pet dragons?" Spike asked which caused the eldest alicorns grasp in shock

"It's just royal dragon Spike. Please don't say the other term my aunties really don't like it." Cadence whispered to him.

"Cadence did you know about Spike being this breed of dragon?" Twilight asked

Cadence nodded. "Yes but not until recently. I learned about them from the crystal ponies, they knew what Spike was from the moment they saw him."

"Could somepony just explain this whole royal dragon thing already. We kind of have other things to talk about." Applejack said

"Very well. Let me start by giving some background information." Celestia said, then she cleared her throat. "It all started before Equestria was founded in the small pony kingdom of Dream Valley. Dream Valley may not look like much today but back then in was very special. For it was the only pony kingdom with ponies of all tribes living together as equals instead of living apart or living in a tribe base caste system. In fact it even had some non-ponies living almost them which was unheard of in any other pony kingdom at the time."

"Wow, sounds likes it was great place to live back then." Pinkie said

Celestia shock her head. "Sadly it was not. For you see Dream Valley was at the very edge of what was known back then as the pony lands. That meant it had few allies close by to protect in case of an attack and thus many non-pony kingdoms and villains saw it as the perfect stepping stone to taking over all of the ponies kingdoms. As such it was almost always under attack. In fact Tirek’s grandfather King Tirek The First tried to attack it once, but that is another story. Anyway because of its small size and remoteness the only way Dream Valley was able to keep itself safe was by having its royal family serve as its royal guard. A royal guard that was armed with very powerful artifacts. Six wands of great power and pair of matching horse shoes and bracelets that increased the magic of anyone who wore them. Even with these powerful artifacts many Queens and princesses would often die young defending their kingdom.”

"What happen to these artifacts?" Twilight asked.

"We have them here in the castle in a vault with other magical artifacts from the old royal families." Luna answered.

"This brings me to Queen Majesty. The oldest of seven princesses she was a powerful unicorn even without the horseshoes and bracelets increasing her magic, and like many before her she became queen at young age, maybe too young. For the one other thing Majesty was known for besides her spell casting ability was her cruelty. While her subjects knew her as a great subjects ruler and protector to her enemies she showed no mercy no matter what their crimes were or who they were. She even use cruel and painful ways to teach even her love ones simple lessons, as her sons knew all too well. During her rule her dungeons remain empty and the graves remain full." Celestia said

"She sounds awful, just what I would think from somepony who would kidnap helpless dragon eggs!" Fluttershy cred out.

"What?!" Spike shouted

Celestia glared at he small Fluttershy. More in annoyance the anger. "That was just something that the book made up, she did not steal those eggs’ they were giving to her. You see near Dream Valley there lived a clan of dragons. You should all know that dragons were a little different back then. All dragons had horns and digitigrade legs as well as sharp features and no dragon had a spade tail, that change thanks to Majesty as well as this one clan. Anyway something terrible happen to the clan, what it was is unknown today but what is known is that only nine dragons from the clan survived. The clan eldest as well as the second eldest, his son, and seven unhatched dragon eggs. The elder dragons were far too old to care for the eggs and the young dragons that would hatch from them and they were also too old to make the trip back to the dragon lands. So they turned to their nearest neighbor, a neighbor they were never on bad terms with but were also never on good terms with either, Queen Majesty. They begging her to find somepony to care for the unhatched eggs and even promised their clan hoard to her if she did. Not only did she and her sisters take in the eggs but she even had a home build for the elder dragons where they spent the rest of their few remaining days."

"Wait you mean she didn't steal the eggs to created her new race of powerful mares?" Starlight asked

"New race of powerful mares?" Spike asked confuse

Celestia shock her head. "She got that idea later after beating yet another danger to Dream Valley. One that was especially deadly. It was then she got the idea that the only way to keep her kingdom safe was to breed powerful mares to guard it. And I do mean mares for while Dream Valley was progressive in many ways like almost all other pony kingdoms at the time it didn't see stallions as equal to mares. In some ways they were even more backwards then other kingdoms as they wouldn't allow stallions to join their military while in other kingdoms it was the only way a stallion could achieve any level of power or authority. Majesty started to wonder how she could create these powerful mares and that was when she thought of how to use the still unhatched dragons. As she knew both about their unusual breeding ability and the simple truth that dragons are the most physically powerful of all races. However she realized there were three problems with using the eggs, first she didn't know if they would hatch into drakes or dragonesses, second most ponies wouldn't obey half-dragons, and third most ponies found dragons scary looking and would probably be unwilling to bear their children because of that."

"And that’s when she alter the eggs?" Applejack added

"Yes that when she altered the eggs by using her sisters' wands to perform a powerful ritual to make sure the dragons would be born drakes. She also altered them to be more attractive. Smoothing their features, removing their horns, giving them spade tails, and ensuring their sizes were equal to that of stallions. Well there normal size anyway. They obviously could still become large due to greed growth like normal dragons. She also gave them the ability to cast spells and as you all learned certain magical abilities to make them better in bed and there more likely to breed."

The mares blush at that but all nodded

"I can cast spells?" Spike said in surprise

"You do it all the time, why did you think you could send and get messages and small packages? Or use your breath to store small items for later use?" Luna asked.

"That reminds me Spike. I found some old spell books for royal dragons that I bought over for you. I'll give them to you later." Cadence said

"But what about the legs, and making them docile?" Rainbow Dash asked.

"Also did her plan of making mares stronger actually work?" Rarity asked.

"The docile part was one of those lies I told you about. What really may them less aggressive then normal dragons was the simple fact they were raised in a different culture. Spike’s personality being so different from other dragons is not a matter of mental conditioning due to spells. It is simply the result of how he was raised.”

Celestia then smiled at Twilight who returned the smile and looked over at Spike. She couldn’t help but be proud of the brave and kind dragon she help raised.

“As for the legs,” continued Celestia. “I have no idea if that was part of Majesty plan to make them better looking or if it was just a side effect of the magic. As for if her plan worked. Uh, this part I hate the most talking about so I want to make my views on Majesty clear before I answer. She had no right to alter those eggs the way she did even if she was their caregiver because what she did was in no way done to help the unborn whelps. It was solely done for her own selfish ends. Also in terms of leader while I can see why she did what she did she had no right or reason to be as cruel as she was to others. If she was alive today you can bet she would have earned a place in Tartarus for the things she did. For goodness sake one time when her own son, an earth colt name Lucky, and one of the dragons named Spike, a different Spike obviously, were playing to loudly she cast a powerful spell that made it so they heard a noise so loud it caused them to fall to ground rolling in pain just to teach them a lesson about playing quietly indoors!" Celestia ranted

"That’s horrible!" Rarity shouted

"That’s nothing. One time a goblin tried to kidnap a visiting newborn princess and when she found out and stopped it, and instead of just locking the goblin up she killed him while he was on his knees begging for his life." Luna said

"That’s terrible and all but did you say that one of the dragons were name Spike like me?" Spike ask

Celestia nodded. "Yes. I was just getting to that and before you ask yes the dragon that looks like you on the book was in fact the dragon name Spike. But back to my point. As much as I hate to say it Majesty’s plan did in fact work. The mares and later ponies born from those first seven dragons and their sons were in fact much more powerful then normal mares and the effects of this can still be today. In fact with the possible exception of Cadence who’s family tree in unknown due to being being an orphan every mare in this room is a dictate descendant of one of these dragons." Celestia said

"What, really?" Starlight asked

Celestia nodded. "I look up your family trees, Rainbow is a dictate descendants of one of Majesty generals a pegasus name Firefly, not the same one who founded the wonderbolts that was her daughter name after her who was also your dictate ancestor. The whole apple family comes from Majesty head of the farmer guild Applejack, while Fluttershy ancestors was Majesty royal gardener an earth pony name Posey as well as a breezie queen name Rosedust who rule over the closest pony kingdom o Dream Valley, Flutter Valley. Which was the first pony kingdom to start trading royal dragons with Dream Valley. You Rarity are a descendant of two of Majesty mares-in-waiting Glory and Sparkler, while Pinkie is a descendant of Majesty royal event planner Surprise. Finally you Twilight and Starlight are distant relatives as you are both dictate descendants of Majesty herself as well her royal adviser who was name Twilight Sparkle as well. Also myself and Luna father was a royal dragon, not one of the first seven but one of their sons." Celestia explained.

"And we don't really know who our grandparents on his side was because Majesty didn't bother to keep track of information for the drakes till after she started to trade the second generation royal dragons to other pony kingdoms." Luna added.

"That a lot to take in. So I'm a descendant of some kind of dragon breeding slave?" Spike still confuse

"They were not breeding slaves!” shouted Celestia. “Well no more than other stallion were at the time anyway, and while they were traded most of them did come to end up with happy herds. Just look at my mothers, they were a simple earth pony blacksmith and an earth pony soldier but when they met our father the three of them fell in love and did everything they could to show Majesty that they were worthy of him and he helped the whole way."

"The key word when talking about them is royal, they may have been dragons but they were still treated like any pony royalty. In fact they could be argued to have been treated better as they were immune to certain less than pleasant practices that happened to stallions back then and many ponies respected them on sight." Luna said

Celestia nodded. "It's true, in fact the only reason why the crystal ponies were willing to talk to you all when they were under Sombra's spell was because when they saw you with Spike they thought you all must have been very important to have a royal dragon with you."

"But then why haven't I heard about them before? Why aren't they around now and where do I fit into all of this?" Spike asked

"Not all ponies, much less all pony kingdoms were okay with the idea of non-ponies as royals in a pony kingdom. Even if thanks to the magic that changed them all their daughters would be whatever race their mothers were. That is where that slur on the cover came from and it was that slur that the dragon lands first heard about these from. The dragon lord of the time assumed the worst after hearing about them and they were not happy about it all. The dragon's demand all the ponies kingdoms with royal dragons to turn them over and they wouldn't listen when ponies tried to explain that the royal dragons were happy with their lives and families. So seeing no other choice the pony kingdoms starting turning over all the royal dragons to the dragon lands. I still remember when Majesty herself came to our home to take our father and brother away." Celestia said sadly

"You have a brother?" Applejack asked

Luna nodded. "Cosmos, he was the middle child and looked a lot like King Torch. In fact I wouldn't be surprised if its turned out that Torch was a descendant of our brother. Who sadly we never saw again after that."

"Anyway the royal dragons were all taken to the dragon lands where they inbred with normal dragons and the breed became lost because of that. As for you Spike. About fifty years before you hatch some archaeologists found a hidden room in Majesty’s old castle. They couldn't get in because of some high level protection spells so they came to Canterlot to see if they could get a wizard to help them get in. When I heard about this I was worried there could be some secret weapon or other experiment of Majesty locked away in there, so I decided to look into it personality. I made sure no pony was around as I undid the spells in case it was dangerous and I went in to check what was in there I found you as an egg as well as a journal written by Majesty. Turns out that instead of turning in all the royal dragons Majesty kept one of her eggs, the father of that egg was the best known of all the first seven royal dragons. Spike a hero and personal favorite of Majesty, turns out she place a stasis spell on you to keep you from hatching until the dragon lord stopped searching for any royal dragons so then she could her program to breed powerful mares. But she lost her life from one of the many dangerous that plagued Dream Valley before she could do that. I also learned from the journal that only a dictate unicorn descendant of Majesty could hatch you. So I snuck out both you and the journal and began looking for such a unicorn to hatch you for reasons involving your new royal duties.” Celestia finished explaining

"Yeah about that, how does having our foal daddy sleeping with random mares help Equestria?" Rainbow asked

"Wait what?! Foal Daddy?! Did you say foal daddy?!" Spike screamed in surprise as he turn to Rainbow.

Rainbow’s eyes’ went wide as she realized her slip of tongue and began blushing heavily. "Um surprise! Turn’s out Starlight use one of Cadence fertility spells on us by mistake, and well at least I'm pregnant."

And like a boulder from a slingtail to the face, Spike was hit with more emotions then he knew he could feel at once. Joy, fear, the desire to build a nest out treasure, all of this and so much more was hitting Spike.

"Dada..I dada...I feel things, just so many things at once." Spike said as he tried to keep his mind from shutting down

"Congratulations!" Luna shouted happily

"Wow Spike you're taking the news better than Shining did. He screamed and fainted when I told him he was going to be a father. By the way Starlight, what spell of my did you use?" Cadence said while smiling

"The Fertility of the Jacklope." Starlight said.

"You used that the spell?!” shouted Cadence in surprise. “Yeah, no doubt about it you mares are all pregnant. You may what to get ready for at least twins."

"Wait isn't that the spell you use on us and the guard?" Luna asked

Cadence nodded. "Yeah you said to use the strongest one I had so I did."

"WHAT?!" The others and Spike screamed

"You used that spell on them?! But that means they are all,-"Spike said in confused before being quickly interrupted

"That brings us to your royal duties Spike. As may have already guessed you are now the royal concubine to house alicorn and sleeping with us and giving us children are part of your new duties, as well as any herd mates that any of us have or are looking to bring in." Celestia said with a smile as she looked to Twilight and her friends.

"I'm fine with that part, as far as I can tell right now anyway, but those guardmares. I don't even know their names and I just found out I got them pregnant?! That is nowhere near the same thing as finding out we are having kids!" Spike said

"That bring us to why we had you do them. Think of it less as sex and more as donating sperm directly. All those mares wanted strong healthy foals and come from happy herds. That is why we picked them and before you ask, to them and their children you will be no more their father then any other sperm donor." Luna said

"That strangely makes me feel better about all of that." Rarity said

The others starting to agree to with her.

"But why have me do them to begin with?" Spike ask now beginning to feel better about it

"Like we said its to help Equestria, as you all known Equestria has been getting attack by villains and monsters a lot in the past few years." Luna said

"And ponies still have trouble getting along with non-ponies." Cadence added

"And like I said Majesty’s plan did work. So Spike in order to help protect Equestria from any future dangers and improve ponies views of non-ponies we have decided to make you a royal stud. Under this title you will breed willing mares to bring back the royal dragon breed in order to birth new generation of heroes! And don't worry you all can stay be together." Celestia said

"Sense dragons is the one race ponies have the hardest time getting along with. We figured if they can get along with dragons better they can get along with any creature." Luna added

"And sense you have already got the element bearers pregnant we may need to start planning a royal herd wedding less the press have field day with this." Cadence said with a smile

"Ooh, I can plan our wedding party!" Pinkie said with a smile

"I better get started on the wedding dresses." Rarity said

"My parents will be so happy." Fluttershy said with a smile

"I hope it goes better then the last royal wedding." Rainbow Dash added

"Lets hurry on that wedding, I think it would be best if we got hitch before I tell Granny Smith and Big Mac about the youngins." Applejack said

"I probably should add that Trixie is knock up too, oh colt how she going to react to this?" Starlight said

"Spike could tell our parents about this, I'm not sure I can." Twilight

"I'm going to be a daddy...I have so much to get ready for. Oh crap my parents are going to kill me for just so many reasons." Spike said to himself as his now future brides started to plan the wedding.
