The leaves crunched as they walked across a tan road. "Are you excited about this camping trip, Sunburst?" asked Starlight hearing the leaves crunch her hooves. Sunburst nodded, "I've never gone camping before" he pointed out, "have you ever went camping before." "Yes, I once went camping with Twilight and her friends," she said adjusting her saddle bag. After walking for a few minutes they finally got to the campsite, there were two tents and a stack of firewood to start a fire. They both set their saddlebags on the grass. They both felt the autumn breeze in their manes, they both inhaled the air."What do we do now?" asked Sunburst adjusting his glasses. Starlight looked at him, "Um, we could go on a nature walk" she requested happily. The orange unicorn nodded, the two friends walked away from the campsite and into the woods. The leaves fell from the white birch trees, as they hiked around the camp trail. Sunburst looked around and adored the trees around him. Starlight put her hoof down and pointed to a crystal clear pond, "What about a couple rock skipping?" she told him. Sunburst was confused, but he nodded at her. The finally got to the pond. Starlight grabbed a rock, she aimed it at the pond, she threw it and the rock perfectly did four skips in the pond. Sunburst looked at Starlight in amazement, he never knew that she could skip a rock that far, "How did you do that, it honestly looks impossible?" He said puzzled. Starlight smiled at him, "Maud showed me how to do that" she testified "do you want me to show you? It's actually very easy once you learn it." Sunburst looked into the mare's eyes, he smiled at her in agreement. Starlight gave him a small rock, "So you need to aim it equally at the middle of the pond" Starlight started proudly, Sunburst did exactly what she said, "Then you throw the pebble" So Sunburst threw the rock, it sunk. "Huh?" claimed Sunburst as he saw the rock sink, he looked at Starlight. The mare looked at him, then they both started to laugh while they blushed. "I guess it takes more practice" he reported with a chuckle, Starlight nodded. "It does, it took me fifteen tries to master it" she giggled "anyway do you want to get back to the camp, Sunburst?" she asked as she stood up. The orange stallion nodded at the purple mare, they both took one last look at the lake and they both thundered away to the camp. Sunburst looked down as he walked. He really wanted to tell Starlight his feelings for her, but he hasn't built enough confidence to tell her. They both finally got to the camp, Starlight rose her head up high as she saw a wonderful creature. She told Sunburst to be quiet and she pointed at a creature that he has never seen before. "Sunburst, look...its a deer!" she whispered to him. Sunburst looked at the deer, he was amazed, he never saw a deer before in real life. He adjusted his glasses. The deer licked its nose then it skipped into the bushes. Starlight and Sunburst walked into the camp, Starlight looked at his friend, "have you ever seen a real-life deer? I sure haven't" she praised. Sunburst looked at his friend and gave her a small nod, "Yeah, I've never seen a real-life deer before!" he said happily. Her friend smiled at her with a blush, Sunburst blushed too. Starlight walked towards the middle of the camp where the firewood was, but there was no firewood. Sunburst looked around, "What happened to the firewood?" he asked her. "I don't know?" replied Starlight "It was here Sunburst shrugged, he noticed that it was getting dark. Starlight looked around the camp, still no sign of the wood, she looked at her friend. "I'll go get some firewood from the forest, can you stay here and watch over the camp" she requested. Sunburst nodded, his friend walked into the woods. Little that they know that there was a dangerous creature lurking in the dark woods. Starlight walked around the woods, she stepped on the pointy leaves that were in the in the trail. She felt the thorny sticks sting her hooves but she continued to stroll around, she stopped walking to think for a bit. She wanted to tell Sunburst how she felt, but how could somepony love a mare with a dark past, she let out a big sigh. She looked around and she found some firewood on the ground. She used her magic to pick up the dark brown wood. Starlight suddenly stopped when she heard a low growl, "Uh hello?" she said dryly. She dropped the firewood in shock when she saw a dark brown creature with green eyes lurk out of the shadows, it was a big timberwolf. Five more snarling wooden creatures padded closer to the scared mare. Starlight stepped back, she blasted one of the Timberwolves with her magic. But that only made the other wolves mad. Starlight gasped, one of the wolves jumped trying to tackle the mare, but she quickly dodged the wooden wolf. The wolves snapped at her, the wolves charged after her, Starlight started to run from the mad creatures, her heart was beating so fast she could not even take a breath. Back at the campsite, Sunburst was waiting for his friend. He was also thinking what he should say to Starlight when he breaks the news about that he loves her. he looked down, then he was suddenly disturbed by a shrinking cry coming from the dark woods. He hesitated for a moment, he gasped and ran into the woods bravely but worried at the same time. Starlight was still running with all her might, the wolves growled at her while chasing after the terrified mare. Starlight gasped when she saw a dead end. She hit her shoulder when she crashed into the dead end, she was surrounded by snarling Timberwolves. She was able to blast one of the bitter wolves, she tried to blast another wolf but one of the wolves tried to tackle her. Starlight was able to dodge the furious wolf, but she was not fast enough and the wolf clawed her hind leg. The purple unicorn collapsed to the ground, there was a deep painful wound across Starlight's hind leg, she winced painfully as the wolves lurked closer towards the fallen mare. Before the Timberwolves could attack her, a yellow beam of magic hit two of the wolves. Starlight looked up, it was Sunburst! Both of the wolves snarled at him, one wolf when charging at the stallion. The other one went charging towards Starlight, the mare weakly moved out of the way. The wolf snarled at her, but the wolf stopped snarling when it got blasted the by the blue beams that Starlight sent from her horn. The wolf broke into a million on pieces. She started to breath harder as her leg stung painfully. She looked behind her, she saw that Sunburst was still using his magic to attack the timberwolf. But no matter how hard he tried he could not blast the wolf into pieces, the wolf was a supper dodger. "The wolf is a master at dodging! What are we going to?" he called out to Starlight. Starlight was still able to stand up, but only in three hooves. She equally tried to balance in all three hooves. "I'll distract him, you could blast his magic! " Starlight requested. Sunburst looked at the wounded mare, he shook his head no. "I can't let you get hurt, Starlight" comforted Sunburst, as he tried once more to blast the tall timberwolf. Starlight's eyes shimmered as she looked at Sunburst's eyes. The stallion continued to shoot beams of magic at the strong wolf, the wolf kept dodging every time. Then suddenly, the wolf tackled Sunburst. Starlight gasped as she saw her best friend get knocked over by the strong wolf. She thought fast, then she blasted the wolf off her friend. The wolf shattered into pieces. Sunburst sighed in relief, he got up and looked at the shattered pieces of the timberwolf. The two friends looked at each other, Starlight limped towards him slowly, they both hugged each other with tears in their eyes."Thank you for coming back, Sunburst." Starlight beamed softly as he hugged her friend. "Your welcome, Starlight" he replied, the two first broke up from their hug, Sunburst helped his friend walk back to the campsite while bringing back the firewood. The two friends finally got to the campsite, Sunburst set up the campfire and sat down with his friend. They were silent for a few minutes. Starlight got out the first aid kit and she tended her long painful wound, Sunburst looked at her. "Starlight" started Sunburst nervously "I have something to tell you" he took a breath for a moment, then looked back at her. Starlight looked at him, "Oh" she said with a blush "what is it?" Starlight wrapped a long bandage around her hind leg with a small painful wince. Sunburst scratched the back of his head, "I've been wanting to tell you ever since we reunited" he said as he looked down at his hooves, Starlight looked at Sunburst starry-eyed "I have feelings for you, strong feelings. I love how you are kind, smart, and beautiful. I really love you so much, but I know you don't feel the same for me." Starlight looked at the stallion, " I have something to tell you, I actually thought that nopony would have feelings for me. Sunburst, I wanted to tell you the exact same thing. I have strong feelings for you! I love how you learn new spells every day, I love that you are confident and brave, and you are very handsome" she expressed, she could see that Sunburst was blushing, she came closer to him "I love you Sunburst" Starlight gave him a kiss on his lips. The stallion's heart was beating fast, the pair were both blushing. The pair slowly broke apart from their kiss, Sunburst's face was red as his mane, he looked at the mare beside him. He put his hoof on her cheek, he looked at her beautiful indigo eyes. They smiled at each other, "I love you too, Starlight" he said brushing a lock of mane out of the mare's face. Sunburst gave Starlight a kiss of his own, they both shut their eyes in bliss as they blush. Starlight snuggled closer to her colt. Starlight rested her head on Sunburst shoulder, the stallion wrapped his blue robe around his mare as they both stared at the flaming fire. "Would you be my special somepony, Starlight?" Asked Sunburst nuzzling her cheek with his muzzle. Starlight cuddled closer to him, "Of course, I would love to be your special somepony, Sunburst" the mare proclaimed as she shaded a tear, Sunburst wiped it from her face, the pair looked at each other starry-eyed and kissed slowly. The fire was flaming in Luna's beautiful night sky, the stars shined brightly and the moon glowed a breathtaking dash of light that shone the entire camp. They both sent a thankful silent prayer, as they walked to the tent. Tonight they slept soundlessly in the tent, snuggled up together side by side. They both embraced the warmth as they slept, the night was beautiful and quiet. Starlight's leg didn't even hurt anymore when she was with her colt. Starlight could not wait to tell her friends! The night continued silently and warmly as the hours passed. The ponies were glad they were in each other embrace, it was warm, it was loving, it was a dream come true! They both enjoyed their last few days of camping together, Sunburst had to go back to the Crystal Empire. Starlight told him that she would visit often, the pair gave each other one final kiss after their hug and Sunburst left to the Crystal Empire. But sooner Starlight would go visit her colt friend, in every break, every weekend, every holiday, they would be together! What will the future give them? Author's Note Hello everybody! I can't get off this boat! It's like a sickness with no cure! Oh lord help me, send help! And that is how I became the shipping crew leader on Equestria Amino! I ship Starlight and Sunburst too much, it hurts! I don't only write stories about these two (And other ships) I also write poetry on Equestria amino, and honestly, as the shipping crew leader, I can't decide on ships...I like it all!
