Chapter 2: Student Days

Fizzlepop woke in a white room with several nurse ponies running around frantically while doctors were surrounding a bed. I asked “Um what’s going on?”

One of nurses blinked “After your surprise magic burst I’m surprised you recovered so quickly.”

Fizzlepop gasped “Is everypony alright?”

A voice shouted “I’m fine.”

Fizzlepop frowned as one of the doctors was kicked into the wall. “Do you need help?”

The Nurse smiled nervously “No we’re fine just the princess isn’t being very cooperative right now.”

She trots over to see Princess Celestia kicking at the nurses despite her broken legs. Then to the shock of the doctors a purple glow surrounds the Princess who is now completely immobilised. Fizzlepop frowned “Please Princess they are trying to help you.”

Princess shouted “I have to go; I have a busy schedule to fulfill. In two hours I have to meet with the Griffon Ambassador.”

I frowned “Can we get this done within that time?”

The doctors said “Barely but only if she stops struggling.”

Celestia huffed “Fine but make it quick.” Fizzlepop watched as they worked on Celestia putting her broken legs in casts. After one and a half hours Celestia was sitting in a wheelchair, her legs bound.

Celestia smiled “It’s good to see my personal student doing so well.”

Fizzlepop eyes widened “Personal Student!?”

Celestia smiled “We’ll discuss it on the way.” She frowned as her horn fizzled.

Fizzlepop gasped and lit up her own horn to push the wheelchair. She nervously trotted by, Celestia showing the young filly the way to the meeting room. Celestia smiled “You are quite powerful, the most powerful unicorn filly I’ve met.”

Fizzlepop sighed “I’m nothing special, I couldn’t even control my magic.”

Celestia frowned “Don’t worry about it, even I had a magic burst when I was a foal.” Fizzlepop stared at Celestia as if she grew a second head. Celestia smiled “Your magic burst was much stronger than mine was when I was a foal. I decided to teach how to control that power as Starswirl taught me and my…” Celestia stopped for a second.

Fizzlepop frowned “I understand you have you secrets Princess, don’t worry about it I don’t need to know.”

Celestia smiled warmly “Thanks Fizzlepop, still please call me Celestia. I don’t need all the formality.”

Fizzlepop smiled “Okay Princ-Celestia.”

Celestia laughed “You’ll get used to it.” The pair entered a room where a big burly griffon stood.

The Griffon grinned “Oh how the mighty Celestia has fallen.” He drew a sword “imagine the praise I would receive on taking your head.”

He darted forwards only to bounce of a purple shield and then in the next moment was surrounded by several magically constructed kitchen knives the size of his body. Fizzlepop snarled “Give me one reason not to kill you right now.” The Griffon leaked on the floor.

Celestia smiled “I appreciate the gesture Fizzlepop but you can stand down.” Fizzlepop frowned as she dissipated her knives but maintained the shield.

The Griffon begged “Mercy please.”

Celestia laughed “Diplomat Swifttalon, relax we have diplomacy to discuss.”

Swifttalon frowned as he regained his composure “Well we had a bombardment of purple magic in Griffonstone coming from here yesterday. It also was spotted heading both toward the Badlands and Mt Aris by our spies.”

Fizzlepop grinned nervously “That may have been my fault.”

Swifttalon raised an eyebrow. Celestia smiled “How do you think I ended up like this, I was looking for my personal student in that building yesterday.”

He frowned as he looked at the building “What happened?”

Celestia smile didn’t waver “Well my personal student had a magic burst yesterday, which is probably what hit Griffonstone.” Swifttalon’s jaw dropped as he stared at Princess and Fizzlepop looking for sign of deception, his eyes widened as he realised there was none. He collapsed to the ground in the puddle he made earlier.

Fizzlepop cried “I hurt others, I’m a monster.”

Celestia sighed as she wrapped a wing around her “No you’re not a monster; you are just not in control I will teach you control. That construct spell was very impressive by the way; I think I will have to push you quite hard for you to be constantly challenged.” Fizzlepop nodded as her tears flowed.

The next morning Fizzlepop was busy reading books in the library. Celestia was rolled in by a guard she smiled “I’m glad you taking time to learn.”

Fizzlepop smiled “What can I say other than I love magic?”

Celestia sighed “I can’t begin doing official lessons for a week due to the incident, my magic's too weak so I expect you to do your own study in the meantime.”

Fizzlepop asked “Um, would it be okay if Twilight and Sunburst visit.”

Celestia smiled “I’ll arrange something, if you’re lucky they may turn up today.”

Fizzlepop bounced up and down excitedly “I get to see my friends.”

Celestia smiled “Well I have to recover, so I’ll see you tomorrow Fizzlepop.”

Fizzlepop smiled “I’ll be happy to see you again Celestia. I can’t wait for my first lesson.” Celestia smiled as the little filly was comfortable, she then sighed as she thought (Dear Sister if you were only here to see this.)

Fizzlepop meanwhile was reading book after book in the library memorising each spell. She frowned she wanted something special; a lot of these spells were too simple, having memorised each one. She asked the Librarian “Is there something a little more complex, these spells seem a little rudimentary at times.”

The pale stallion with a bookmark on his flank said “There is this book on hoofcasting, very few unicorns even attempt this.”

Fizzlepop smiled “Can I take this book with me I’ll return in a few days.”

The Librarian grinned wickedly “I’ll come to your room if it’s not back and there will be consequences.” Fizzlepop grinned nervously as she exited the building with the book.

A gruff guard said “I’ll escort you to your room.” It turned out this room was a tower in the castle. Fizzlepop huffed as she entered the room, it was large and full of books, and it had a large bed in a loft. The guard frowned “Be careful this room once belonged to Starswirl himself.”

Fizzlepop’s eyes widened as the guard left, she began practising the spell she read once after the other. She found them all too easy, she smiled as he stared at the book she borrowed “What are you hiding?”

She opened and smiled at the first page, she frowned as she thought (It relied on her ability to stand on her hind legs, this would be tricky.) She tried to lift her own weight onto her hind legs only to fall flat on her face. She moaned “Ow that hurt.”

Fizzlepop heard a knock on her door, she opened it her magic only for Twilight to wrap her in a hug. Sunburst frowned “Slow down, Twilight, Fizzlepop needs her space.”

Twilight smiled sheepishly “Sorry about this.” Twilight then realised “You are five right? Well why you are slightly taller than me.”

Fizzlepop said “My grandfather on my father’s side is an Earth Pony, it’s why he and I are so big.”

Sunburst looked at her flank and gasped “You’ve got your cutie mark.”

Fizzlepop jumped up and down as she noticed the 5 pointed purple star on her flank “I got my cutie mark, I got my cutie mark.”

Twilight panicked “You have your Cutie Mark, which means you don’t want to hang with us anymore and then because you’re the Princesses student nopony will want hang out with us then we’ll be hated by everypony and then we’ll turn evil and…..”

Fizzlepop frowned “It’s just a Cutie Mark I won’t hate you two because you don’t have one that would just be silly. Come on let’s have fun, you two like books and magic right.”

Twilight smiled “Yep, let’s practise some magic and fix up some old archaic spells.”

Sunburst smiled “Let’s do it.” The trio went long into the night correcting old spells and all 3 of them learned quite a few spells through their session.

Chapter 3: Lesson with the Princess and Dragon Days

Fizzlepop yawned as she got herself ready, brushing her mane and coat. After she had a quick shower a knock came to the door, she opened it and had to teleport to avoid being run over by the wheelchair. Celestia started smiling as her wheelchair glowed and part of her mane was now rainbow coloured. Fizzlepop had a question “What happened to the dragon I hatched?”

Celestia frowned “We’re not sure what to do with him.”

Fizzlepop said in a determined tone “I will take care of him, he’s my responsibility.”

Celestia raised an eyebrow “Are you sure? Raising a dragon isn’t easy.”

Fizzlepop smiled “I will make sure he’s okay, I mean it can’t be that hard to keep him fed with gems and teach proper use of fire. “

Celestia asked “How do you know that?”

Fizzlepop smiled “Well my family has a lot of non-ponies, I have an illusion spell on me right now. This isn’t the true me.”

Celestia frowned “What do you mean?” Fizzlepop eyes were now slitted like a dragon. Celestia raised an eyebrow “You’re a half-dragon?”

Fizzlepop smiled “Quarter, my mother is a half-dragon she wears her own illusion. She opened her mouth revealing a sharp set of teeth in a toothy grin she then burped which spit out a small flame.

Celestia smiled “Well then I should leave the dragon you hatched in your care, once I removed you magic burst I used what little magic I had left to fix all the damage done.”

Fizzlepop frowned “I can’t believe I didn’t check in on my parents.”

Celestia smiled “I’m sure their fine.”

Fizzlepop asked “Um, can I see my brother at some point? I haven’t seen him since he joined the guard, he is always too busy.”

Celestia frowned “Is he Blade Captain Storm Blast?”

Fizzlepop gasped “He’s a captain!”

Celestia sighed “Yes, he does nothing but be boring all day. I swear all I’ve seen him do is patrol and do notes; he has too good a work ethic. I am officially putting him on holiday tomorrow; you are tasked with keeping on holidays. I swear every time a holiday comes up he sneaks back into his room, I swear he needs a filly oops sorry I forgot you….”

Fizzlepop deadpanned “Celestia, I’m sorry for interrupting but I have walked in way too many times on my parents ‘activities’, they are notorious for forgetting doors exist.”

Celestia forced a smile “Anyway the first lesson is on advanced illusion work.”

Fizzlepop smiled “I’m ready Celestia.”

Celestia smiled “The type illusion I will show is to design and to create a convincing doppelganger.” Celestia glowed her horn creating a perfect functioning replica of herself which she commanded to move backwards and forwards.

Celestia then blinked to see two copies bouncing up down next to Fizzlepop. Celestia frowned “I’m getting a little concerned you have exhibited so much power of a filly your age as well as knowledge too, I need to examine you to see what’s causing this.” She cast a simple scanning spell.

Celestia knew the basics of how most ponies’ magic worked, they have a magical system that exist on a spiritual level in background of their physical system, Unicorns in particular usually have 8 magic chambers which can contain magic, 3 in the brain five in the rest of the body. She knew Starswirl had 24, 9 in his brain and 15 elsewhere. What shocked her was Fizzlepop only had one or more specifically her magic chamber was as large as her body and it would grow as her body grew.

Fizzlepop asked “What’s wrong?”

Celestia said hiding her disbelief “It appears your magic chamber is as large as you body is.” Fizzlepop stared dumbfounded at the revelation. Celestia said “I think I will require a few days to revise you study plans accordingly.”

Fizzlepop nodded as Celestia wheeled herself out of the room, she thought (I’m just glad she’s on my side) Celestia trotted away.

A few hours of reading and practice later a stallion trotted in carrying a baby dragon. He looked like a mess his coast burnt and his mane singed, he begged “Please take him?”

Fizzlepop nodded and took the little dragon. She then realised she hadn’t restored her illusion, she shook her head of those thoughts and asked “What do you want to be called?”

The baby dragon stared at her blankly, she looked at him and saw the green spikes. She smiled “I’ll name you Spike, now oh dear I better go shopping a baby dragon should eat about ten gems per day for proper growth, I ate two point five gems per day but I’m a quarter dragon.”

She put on a pair of saddlebags and summoned some bits out of a portal, she thought (Thank Celestia for dimensional storage space.) She put a small bag of bits into her saddlebags. She put Spike onto her back and headed off into the city, she knew ponies were looking at them but she didn’t care. She arrived at a gem store. She asked “Can I buy 50 rubies and 200 emeralds please.”

The stallion replied “Get lost, you can’t afford anything here.”

Fizzlepop snarled staring at him with her slitted eyes as she pointed to herself and Spike “I’m buying food for the pair of us.” She slammed a small bag of bits on the table. The stallion quivered and gave her the gems which put in her saddlebags. He stared down to see a puddle under his hooves.

Fizzlepop returned to the castle and happily ate some gems along with Spike, who gave her a big hug. She smiled knowing she was a big sister to somepony else.

Author's Note

Yeah Fizzlepop is a quarter dragon, the show gives no explantion why a foal would be allowed to raised a baby dragon by herself. I decided to give one for my story.

Chapter 4: The End of the First Year

1 Year had passed since Fizzlepop had become Celestia’s personal student. Fizzlepop had become really close friends both Twilight and Sunburst, although they had remained ignorant to her draconic origins. Celestia had far accelerated her teachings over the year and Fizzlepop had aced every lesson to the point Celestia began to run out of things to teach. Celestia had mostly recovered from the whole ordeal but still feels weaker than she was before.

Celestia smiled “Fizzlepop, I think it’s time for a major test tonight. You have grown so much over the last year. You are even more powerful than Starswirl in his peak and you are only 6 even though you’re about as large as a filly who is ten.”

Fizzlepop sighed “I know you have been pushing my skill with magic and I bonded with my friends over magic but still I think you’re giving me too much credit.”

Celestia frowned “Your too modest, have some faith in yourself. I wouldn’t have picked you as my student if you weren’t extraordinarily gifted. I still need to figure out where to go next with your learning.”

Fizzlepop sighed “Well I’m going to the library, we’ll speak later Celestia.” She entered the library, as she looked around she thought (Come on there has to be something new!)

She began looking through old bookshelves she then pulled two books in succession, one with a moon on it and another with a sun in the same place. The bookshelf lowered into the floor, Fizzlepop darted in eagerly wondering what was in the room. She entered the room her smile grew as she saw the massive amount of books in it. She opened a book and found a large tome which read Starswirl’s Book of Dark Magic and its applications.

Fizzlepop smiled “Hmm, I have always wanted to make myself golems but doing it will be tricky, also Celestia may not approve, still I can’t believe I’ve found all this.” Her eyes then widened “This must be Celestia’s secret library, I think it’s time for a important research session.” Fizzlepop eyes widened as read book after book, so much blood and death filled those pages, Grogar, Tirek, Scorpan, Discord, Sombra
and Nightmare Moon.

Fizzlepop stood there shocked for several moments before something deep down urged her forwards, she knew the quest for knowledge could not be deterred. She began to return to normal as tomes of magic filled her hooves, books on chaos magic, harmonic magic and even dark magic as well as curses, hexes and even necromancy.

Fizzlepop had returned home from the library to see Spike sitting there sadly. She gave him a hug “Tomorrow, we are going out to see my friends for lunch before seeing a movie.” They both sat down as they happily ate some gems.

A familiar voice was shouting outside the castle, Fizzlepop saw a pale blue filly outside, she sighed “Trixie.”

She teleported behind a bush to overhear what was going on. Trixie shouted “The Great and Powerful Trixie demand to be let in, The Great and Powerful Trixie must show that silly filly how Great and Powerful she really is!”

The guards frowned “We cannot allow that.”

Trixie shouted louder “Why not, The Great and Powerful Trixie is not a threat to security is she?!”

Fizzlepop stepped out “I’m here, Trixie.”

Trixie smirked as she stood up on her hind legs “So your here, The Great and Powerful Trixie will show you real power.”

Fizzlepop frowned “How can you stand up like that?”

Trixie blinked “Like what?”

Fizzlepop sighed “On you hind legs.”

Trixie smiled “I have always had good balance.”

Fizzlepop asked “I could use your help; I have been trying to figure out how to move on my hind legs and failing.”

Trixie frowned “What is in it for Trixie?”

Fizzlepop said “Well I could help you with magic and give you access to the Canterlot Library when you with me.”

Trixie nodded as she extended her hoof out “Deal.”

Fizzlepop nodded “Very well, I’ll see you in 2 days. I have plans tomorrow.”

Trixie dissapeared in a puff of smoke as she shouted “The Great and Powerful Trixie will be there!”

Fizzlepop sighed as she thought (That mare has way too much energy.) As I trotted back to my room, I saw a 16 year old stallion with a blond mane and a compass for a cutie mark stomping through the hallway.

He raised his muzzle at me “This is no place for foals.”

Fizzlepop raised an eyebrow “Who are you?”

He spluttered “You don’t recognise me; I’m Prince Blueblood, the nephew of Princess Celestia.”

Fizzlepop asked “What do you do around here? Do you help run Equestria?”

Prince Blueblood frowned “No, I don’t why?”

Fizzlepop sighed “Well that means you’re not that important, it’s just a title.”

Prince Blueblood shouted “NOT IMPORTANT! I’m Prince Blueblood, a member of nobility, you are the intruder here!”

Fizzlepop scowled “I’m Princess Celestia’s personal student and could easily out-magic you any day of the week.”

Prince Blueblood laughed “You, Princess Celestia’s personal student what a joke.”

A voice said “She is my personal student nephew so I expect you to treat her with the same respect you do me.”

Prince Blueblood nodded with a forced smile “Yes Auntie.” He trotted away with a grimace

Fizzlepop sighed “I’m sorry about causing a problem with him.”

Celestia said “Well it’s not your fault; you shouldn’t have to deal with his behaviour. Still I’m here introducing you to my niece, Princess Mi Amore Cadenza.”

Fizzlepop raised an eyebrow as a Pink Alicorn trotted into view, the younger Alicorn smiled nervously at Fizzlepop “Hi, um I would prefer it if you just called me Cadence.”

Fizzlepop asked “Cadence, do you want to practise some magic?”

Cadence smiled “Sure, I am not very good at magic.”

Fizzlepop smiled “It doesn't mater, I can still teach you quite a lot.”

Within a second and accompanied by a popping sound the pair were back in Fizzlepop’s room leaving a smiling Celestia standing there (I’m glad these two get along).

Fizzlepop asked “Cadence, do you know how to teleport?”

Cadence shook her head “I was born a pegasus, magic is still difficult.”

Fizzlepop nodded “Well that shouldn’t change much for now, try to teleport a metre in front of you.” I watched as she gritted her teeth as she concentrated her magic. Then her horn sparked and nothing happened, Fizzlepop sighed “Okay, maybe I was too hasty. Don’t force it to do it, just tell it what to do and let it flow into the mold.”

I watched and smiled as I heard the pop and Cadence appeared in front of me. Cadence smiled “I did it.”

Fizzlepop smiled “Good but that was the easy part, the harder part is to improve efficiency.”

Cadence asked “How?”

Fizzlepop said “Well the simple explanation is that every spell has a perfect framework and our job is to push for that, we will never reach it but we should attempt to get close.”

Cadence frowned “Does that mean I have master all of them to a really high level?”

I laughed “No, I’m pretty confident with the millions of spells that exist even Celestia hasn't mastered all of them to that degree, you have an eternity ahead of you. I don’t however so do you mind if we continue, natural talent does not an immortal make.” The pair practised magic until dark.

Meanwhile Far from Equestria

A filly with the exactly same coat and mane colour of Fizzlepop but with a broken horn continued to wander through the wastes in search of a place to live.

This is probably first of a few time skips that will be littered throughout this story.

Chapter 5: Moon Test

Celestia arrived in Fizzlepop’s room. Fizzlepop asked “What is this test?”

Celestia smiled “I’ll show you.” Celestia teleported Fizzlepop and herself to a different room.

I saw a dais with a Sun and Moon symbol on it, other than that the room was quite bland looking. I frowned “What do you want me to do?”

Celestia sighed “To be honest I am struggling to maintain the day and night cycle after your magic burst, now it’s not your fault it was an accident but I’m going to give you a try to lift the moon by yourself.”

Fizzlepop gasped (She is giving me the honour of raising the moon, her sister’s domain.) Fizzlepop frowned “I’ll try for you but I may fail I’m not as strong as you are.”

Celestia smiled “Your right you are stronger. Just remember that the sun allows me to coax it out because of my connection to it, but the moon requires me to lift it with levitation which is incredibly difficult especially due to the distance, levitation gets 4 times weaker the further away the object is away from the caster.” Celestia's horn glowed and the sun lowered below the horizon.

Fizzlepop frowned “Don’t remind me.” She frowned as she focused her magic onto the moon; she grimaced as she felt the weight on her horn but pushed on she smiled as she felt the moon moving through the sky.

A hoof rested on her wither as she felt the moon stop “You did it my faithful student; never forget what you’ve done today. In fact I will pass the duty on to you for a couple of weeks consider it homework.”

Celestia began to trot back to her room leaving Fizzlepop to think but a half an hour later there was a knock on her door. She opened the door to see a frowning Cadence who proceeded to enter the room. Cadence shouted “You made a 6 year old filly raise the moon tonight! Are you mad?! There is no way she is prepared for that and now you expect her to keep doing it!”

Celestia cast a soundproofing spell around the room before she burst into tears “Did you really think I wanted to let my sister’s domain go to somepony who doesn't know her! I have a duty to my little ponies and if I am failing them with each day and I have fallen asleep I at least five meetings this week alone! I’m getting weaker ever since I stopped Fizzlepop’s magic burst. I don’t know how much longer it will be before I lose the sun as well.”

Cadence’s eyes were as wide as dinner plates “No, you can’t you have to remain strong.”

Celestia sighed as she stopped shedding tears “I don’t have a choice anymore; an Alicorn of my power takes 1000 years to make themselves a new body once their current one dies. I fear that my body is on the way out. I don’t have many years left now. ”

Cadence cried “What will I do when you are gone?”

Celestia smiled “By that point my sister will have returned and she will stand by you as I have. Don’t you worry about me.”

Cadence asked as she dried her tears and looked up at Celestia’s still damp face “Are you going to tell Fizzlepop?”

Celestia frowned “She has low self-confidence and I don’t wish to lower it further.”

Cadence asked “What do you mean?”

Celestia said “She never accepts how much talent she has; she believes I give her too much credit.”

Cadence nodded with a hint of venom in her tone “I see, still that is better than the alternative.”

Celestia sighed “I understand you have grievances with ponies that have a massive ego. Sunset wasn’t an ideal student I know, still I failed her, and I should have picked up on her problems earlier. I am too soft on my students.”

Cadence smiled “Don’t worry we’ll figure things out.”

Celestia smiled “Well you will, I only have enough to time to make sure that you, my sister and Fizzlepop will be ready for the future.”

Cadence frowned “I just wish you could stay?”

Celestia smiled “So do I” and the pair dozed off together as moon glowed a dark blue for a second.

I know this is going into really overpowered territory but I am trying to work out a few of her character flaws in some of the chapters I'm currently writing.

Chapter 6:Fizzlepop and the Nightmare

Nightmare Moon’s form shimmered as she looked over Fizzlepop, she noticed the fillies horn was glowing. She thought (So this is the student that Celestia is training, the fact she raised the moon is mighty impressive. Still she is in my way; I must remove all threats to my reign.) A hoof slammed down only for a shield to block the blow, Fizzlepop smiled “You do a poor job of hiding you magic, Nightmare Moon.”

Nightmare Moon asked in complete shock “HOW?!”

Fizzlepop smiled “I’d ask you the same, you were trapped on the moon so how are you here?”

Nightmare Moon frowned “Well I’m a solidified illusion with some magic attached.”

Fizzlepop asked curiously “Why are you here?”

Nightmare Moon frowned “To prevent you and anypony else from stopping me.”

Fizzlepop said “Well you failed.”

Nightmare Moon frowned “How did you prevent me from attacking you?”

Fizzlepop rolled her eyes “I can maintain spells while I’m sleeping you know. Anyway it’s time for you to go.”

Nightmare Moon laughed “You think I’m leaving. What a joke.”

Fizzlepop shook her head and summoned a magic blade and sent it flying outside. Two seconds later Nightmare Moon’s illusion screamed as it faded from existence.

Meanwhile on the moon

Nightmare Moon who was chained to the moon smiled “Who does this little filly think she…” she gasped as a purple blade was stuck in her chest. Her eyes widened a she realised it was the same colour as the shield “How did that little foal hurt me, it makes no sense. It had to be a fluke, I’ll get that little filly when I return, and I swear it on my honour.”

Back on Equis

Fizzlepop cast her shield and happily dozed off again. The next morning Celestia burst in “Are you okay? I felt dark energy in your room.”

Fizzlepop frowned “Nightmare Moon paid me a visit.”

Celestia gasped “How, she was banished to the moon.”

Fizzlepop shook her head “It was just an illusion, still she will not do that for a while. She will have to get that sword out of her chest first.”

Celestia raised an eyebrow clearly sceptical “You stabbed her with a sword; I find that hard to believe.”

Fizzlepop smiled “It was a magical sword.”

Celestia frowned “You know she could easily track you using that.”

Fizzlepop rolled her eyes “I’m pretty sure she already knew where I am or else she wouldn’t have visited me. I won’t be leaving this castle any time soon anyway. I am still studying under you.”

Celestia sighed “Fine.”

Fizzlepop frowned “I want to know everything; I need to know who she is and why she is after me.” She thought (I already know but this will make it harder for me to slip up.)

Celestia frowned “It’s personal.”

Fizzlepop frowned “It’s personal for me too; I need to know why my life is in danger.”

Celestia sighed “Fine but only because your life is in danger, she is my sister who I banished to the moon.”

Fizzlepop faked a gasp, Celestia frowned before continuing “She became the Nightmare because of my actions, I didn’t take her concerns that ponies didn’t appreciate her night seriously and she grew jealous of me.”

Fizzlepop asked “How did this lead up to Nightmare Moon coming to be?”

Celestia sighed “I didn’t pay enough attention to my sister’s needs she turned on me because ponies didn’t appreciate her night or her, a few even thought of making me sole rule. I was just too blind to notice it.”

Fizzlepop gasped “That’s horrible.” She still hadn’t gotten over what she had read in those books, the Thestrals being hunted to extinction and Luna being demonised.

Fizzlepop then asked “Does she have a name other than Nightmare Moon?”

Celestia responded “Yes, her name is Luna”

Fizzlepop frowned “Then who is Nightmare Moon?”

Celestia scowled “A construct created by her anger that possessed her.”

Fizzlepop frown grew deeper “Is it right to destroy something because it exists? Nightmare Moon is an entity that feeds of Luna’s anger but it likely doesn’t know any other way as it is essentially made of said anger. Shouldn’t we try to save them both from each other?”

Celestia said “That is not possible; they can’t exist independent of each other.”

Fizzlepop frowned as she thought (I have to find a way.)

Celestia frowned “Well, I have a lot of duties to attend; I’ll see you later for lessons.” Fizzlepop nodded as she planned to extract more knowledge from those dark magic tomes in Celestia’s secret library.

Chapter 7: Dark Magic and Close Friends

Fizzlepop was sitting in her room, her eyes slitted and glowing green as she had a small ball of light that quickly dissipated. She scowled “This is really difficult, urghh. Yet again that’s what I get for trying to create an artificial soul.”

She scowled as she looked over the notes she had taken on some those old books, she scowled “What am I doing wrong?” She facehooved as she remembered there needed to be emotions in a soul. She frowned “How to create emotions? Hmm that is a tough question.”

Fizzlepop heard a knock, she opened the door to see Twilight and Sunburst standing there. Fizzlepop reapplied the illusion and turned to them with a smile. Fizzlepop asked “So what do you want to do?”

Twilight smiled “Well I’d like to go the museum.”

Fizzlepop raised an eyebrow, Sunburst shook his head then reapplied his glasses to the proper spot afterwards “I think she meant going to see a movie at the theatre.”

Twilight chuckled nervously “Oh.”

Fizzlepop laughed “Twilight, you need other hobbies other than books.”

Twilight pouted “What’s wrong with books?”

Fizzlepop smiled “Nothing but you need to do more than read to succeed in life, Starswirl didn’t become a master by reading what others had done, he had to come up with new ways. It doesn’t work that way, also there are fun things we can do.”

Sunburst said “Let’s go and see a movie.”

Twilight frowned “But we can only go and watched those little kids films and the projectors they use aren’t very good.”

Fizzlepop frowned “You’re right, hmm maybe we could go to a local museum, I hear there is an exhibit on those old crystal statues they found far to the north.”

Sunburst asked “How about we get lunch?” Twilight and Fizzlepop’s stomachs growled, Sunburst smiled “That settles it.” The two fillies frowned as they followed the colt believing their stomachs betrayed them.

They were in the castle kitchen there was cookie jar on top of the shelves, Sunburst pointed out “There’s a cookie jar.”

Twilight asked “So how are we going to get it?”

Fizzlepop said “Like this.”

She levitated the jar down with ease, Sunburst smiled “That was incredible.” The two fillies and the colt galloped back to Fizzlepop’s room. They were chowing down on cookie after cookie.

A loud hoof knocked on the door, Fizzlepop opened the door to see Prince Blueblood staring at them, his eyes fixated on the cookies. He snarled “You stole my cookies.”

Fizzlepop rolled her eyes as she slammed the door on him and put reinforced shielding on it.

Twilight gasped “What spell was that?”

Fizzlepop grinned “It’s a simple reinforcement spell, just I have a lot more power than most. Still I’ll teach you if you like.”

Twilight’s eyes sparkled, Sunburst smiled “I’d like to learn too if that’s okay.”

Then they heard Celestia shout “Fizzlepop!” Fizzlepop opened the door to see Blueblood standing behind Princess Celestia.

Celestia frowned “Did you steal his cookies?”

Fizzlepop scowled “I thought he was making it up, he seems to be a drama queen.”

Celestia frowned “You can’t just raid the kitchen like that.”

Fizzlepop frowned “I was just getting snacks for our group, sorry Princess.”

Celestia sighed “Don’t let it happen again.”

Twilight said “Maybe we should go, it is getting quite late.” Fizzlepop and Sunburst nodded in agreement.

Celestia said “Blueblood leave us.” Blueblood nodded and left, Celestia sighed “Do you understand what you did wrong?”

Fizzlepop sighed “Yes, just I didn’t know, I just wanted to get some snacks for my friends.”

Celestia said “Well, next time ask the chef for something.”

Fizzlepop asked “Okay but um have you seen my brother he has not been around?”

Celestia scowled “I asked him to meet with you last year but he would have none of it.”

Fizzlepop sighed “He wasn’t even there last Hearthswarming, still I make do.”

Celestia raised an eyebrow “You realise how adult you behave, I think you need some time to be young.”

Fizzlepop stammered “But my studies?”

Celestia smiled at me “You have exceeded all my expectations, I barely spend any time with you because there is nothing more I can teach you. What I can do is use some of that time to spend time with you. I am going to take you to dinner tonight.”

Fizzlepop said “Um, okay I’ll be there.”

Celestia smiled as she left the room “Great.” She thought (I need to get her brother to spend time around her)

Chapter 8: Family

Fizzlepop heard a knock on her door, Celestia was standing there with Cadence. She smiled “Cadence.”

Cadence smiled “I’m glad to spend time with you.”

Fizzlepop grinned “Me too.” As they trotted out she saw her brother glaring at her, he was tall his head reaching Celestia’s neck in height, his deep blue coat, his dark green eyes and deep black mane.

Celestia raised an eyebrow “Storm Blast, be civil.”

He trotted to the front of the group and Fizzlepop trotted up to beside Celestia. Celestia asked “Why is your brother avoiding you?”

Fizzlepop cried “I don’t know alright, he just looks at me like I’m a monster.” Storm Blast scowled at her and she shrunk back. Celestia wrapping a wing over Fizzlepop, the group arrived at a simple donut shop. Fizzlepop asked nervously “Um why are we at a donut shop?”

Cadence smiled “We love this place, it where we go when we need to get away from the madness that is being a Princess.”

Celestia commanded “Storm Blast wait outside!” Storm Blast glared at Fizzlepop before standing at the side of the door. Fizzlepop shuddered at his glare as she entered the shop. Cadence and Celestia shared a worried glance as they trotted in after her.

Cadence shook her head “Don’t worry about him, we want you to enjoy this little trip of ours.”

Cadence magically covered both her and Fizzlepop’s ears as Celestia shouted “DONUT JOE!”

Donut Joe shouted back “PRINCESS, YOU WANT THE USUAL?!”

Celestia shouted “YES AND A FOAL SIZED PLATTER!”

Fizzlepop raised an eyebrow “Why did you cover my ears?’

Cadence giggled “Celestia is quite loud when interacting with Donut Joe.” Donut smiled as she saw Cadence and scribbled something down on the order sheet before heading out the back.

Celestia turned to Fizzlepop “How long has you brother been acting this way?”

Fizzlepop sighed “Ever since I returned from my uncle’s a week before I became your student.”

Celestia frowned internally (I hope nothing is wrong.) She smiled “I’ll figure out why and help you two fix this.”

Fizzlepop smiled “Thanks Celestia.”

Donut Joe grinned as he brought a large platter out, Celestia took it and he then brought out a small platter which he placed in front of Fizzlepop before bringing out Cadence’s small plate. Celestia raised an eyebrow “Why are you eating such small servings?”

Cadence smiled “I don’t want to put on weight.”

Fizzlepop grabbed a chocolate donut and took a bite, her eyes watered “This is beautiful.” She savoured each bite, she smiled after she finished her platter “I love this place.”

Cadence smiled “I’ll bring you here again one day, just don’t tell anypony. Donut Joe doesn't want too much publicity.” Fizzlepop nodded and they exited the building, Fizzlepop felt uncomfortable as they trotted back to the castle as her brother’s glared fixated on her back.

Celestia waited until she had brushed her teeth and then smiled as she laid her on the bed. She then frowned and cast a simple scanning spell, she noticed all of her organs were in the right place but her legs they were made of clay, and were covered in runes. She instantly knew what is was, she trotted out only for Storm Blast. He frowned “You know what she is?”

Celestia nodded “She is a golem but she doesn’t know it and she is my student no matter what.”

He scowled “You’re fine with this.”

Celestia turned to him “You should too, whatever happened to your real sister she abandoned you, don’t take it out on her.”

Storm Blast sighed “Maybe you’re right, it’s just tough knowing that my birth sister is still out there somewhere.”

Celestia frowned “Yes but she’s still you're sister, she doesn’t know she is a golem.”

Storm Blast nodded “I will try but you should tell her sooner rather than later. Also she is a dark magic golem.” Celestia’s eyes widened, Storm frowned “It is my Uncle’s work, I know it.”

Celestia frowned “Why didn’t you tell me? Dark mages are dangerous.”

Storm Blast frowned “Do you remember Shadow Strike?”

Celestia nodded “He was captain of the dark mage hunters and the first of your family to serve me.”

Storm Blast said “He was a dark mage himself and hunted the bad ones.” Celestia’s jaw dropped as he trotted away, she had a lot to think about that night.

Chapter 9: Practice

The next day Trixie frowned as they sat in the Library “So what do we do?”

Fizzlepop said “Simply we teleport, it is the first of the spells high level unicorns learn.”

Trixie frowned “So it’s the high level unicorn equivalent of levitation.”

Fizzlepop nodded “It’s the master mages bread and butter but requires a lot of concentration and power the first time, now for now we should focus on improving you capacity, this might take a few years before you can teleport.”

Trixie frowned “But you already can teleport.”

Fizzlepop frowned “I’ll show you tonight why that comparison is silly but for now practice magic with me, I’ll see how much you can levitate and we’ll work from there.”

Trixie huffed “Fine.” She blinked as Fizzlepop levitated a 1 ton weight over in her magic, Trixie gasped “1 ton, that’s huge.”

Fizzlepop rolled her eyes “That’s the standard, Twilight can levitate 10 tons easily and I can levitate 10 Hepatons with ease.”

Trixie blinked in confusion “What is an Hepaton?”

Fizzlepop frowned “I found it an old book of measurements in it 1 Hepaton is 1 sextillion or more simply 1000 times itself 7 times, 10 Exatons is 10 times that and the moon weighs 73-74 Petatons.” Trixie’s jaw dropped, Fizzlepop smiled “1 ton shouldn’t be too much for you.”

Trixie frowned regaining her compose “I don’t believe you can lift that much but if Twilight can lift 10 I can lift one.”

Fizzlepop smiled “I’m glad I’m speaking to the real Trixie not the one who boasts all the time.”

Trixie frowned “The Great and Powerful Trixie is a title, I use it to make myself appear bigger.”

Fizzlepop stated “Ah you use it as shield when you’re nervous.”

Trixie sighed “You saw right through me, am I really that shallow?”

Fizzlepop shook her head “No your not shallow. My advice is that you become a showmare, perform and entertain foals with magic. You can be the Great and Powerful Trixie on stage and make ponies smile.”

Trixie smiled “Your right, I will make everypony know the mystical power of the Great and Powerful Trixie.”

Fizzlepop said “I have a way that may help you improve faster, I will funnel my magic through you thus the only limit is your endurance but I can have no distractions or else I could overload you brain.”

Trixie frowned “No thanks it’s too risky.”

Fizzlepop nodded “Okay, I understand it was just an idea.”

Trixie began to levitate the object and after half an hour she collapsed, she looked up and asked “How did I do?”

Fizzlepop smiled “You lasted 30 minutes, that is enough. I want you to mediate with me it helps gain unicorns like us better control of our magic but I haven’t tried it yet.”

Trixie asked “So what do we do?”

Fizzlepop said “Sit down, put your forehooves together and close your eyes.” Fizzlepop sat down on her flank and began meditating , Trixie grumbled and followed suit. Trixie felt her magic flowing through her body, to her horn through her legs, she felt a huge signature next to her, she began tremble as her body screamed in terror.

Trixie took a deep breath and then breathed out as she tried to calm her body down. Unknown to Trixie hours past by as she sat there trembling, She then felt that energy move, she opened her eyes and turned around to see Fizzlepop trotting away to the window.

Trixie followed her to the balcony, she trotted over until she was next to Fizzlepop Fizzlepop looked into the distance as she spoke “I have a lot of power and that power comes with responsibility.” Trixie watched as the sun began to lower, then Fizzlepop’s horn glowed with a soft purple light, Trixie fainted as she saw the moon was glowing with the same light.

Fizzlepop levitated her friend into her bed and after getting ready got into her bed and quickly fell asleep. Trixie awoke with a yawn “I had the weirdest dream, Fizzlepop you raised the moon.”

She galloped out to see Fizzlepop lowering the moon Fizzlepop groaned “Don’t faint on me again, you have to help me as well you know.”

Trixie spluttered “But how, it’s not possible?”

Fizzlepop sighed “This is why I don’t tell ponies this but I wanted your trust. Power is not a gift Trixie it is alienating, when you have so much power how can you associate with others.”

Trixie blinked confused “What do you mean, you did what most unicorns dream of doing?”

Fizzlepop glared “Ponies would bow to me or try to kill me if they knew what I can do, what if I snap, what if one day I become evil. How much life could I take before becoming a monster, not to mention I’m not even a full pony.”

A loud yawn came out of the room next to her, Spike ran up to her and nipped at her. Fizzlepop growled “It’d not my fault you raided Celestia’s gem stash and slept for a few days straight.”

Trixie gasped “You keep a dragon!”

Fizzlepop turned to her and her horn flashed, her slitted eyes staring at Trixie, Trixie’s eyes widened “You’re a Kirin.”

Fizzlepop growled “First off the term is not Kirin, the term is Mystra and I’m only half one, other than my eyes, teeth and fire breath I’m a unicorn! Oh and the fact I eat gems, that is why I am the best pick for raising young Spike.!”

Trixie blinked “Oh.”

Fizzlepop frowned “Anyway it’s time you teach me.”

Trixie blinked “Oh the standing thing right, um. I guess a demonstration is in order.” Trixie stands up on her hind legs and walks across the room, Trixie states to Fizzlepop “The key to walking like Minotaurs or bipedal Dragons do instead of trotting like ponies is controlling your centre of balance.”

Fizzlepop staggers to her hind hooves and takes one step before falling over, she groans “Ow.”

Trixie grinned “Don’t worry, I fell over a lot when I was learning, I remember the bruises and oh sweet Celestia the breaks.”

Fizzlepop blinked “You broke your legs.”

Trixie frowned “And my spine as well, I literally had to go magical nerve rewiring in order to be able to stand again. My teacher went easier on all his students after that incident.”

Fizzlepop asked worried “Will that happen to me?”

Trixie frowned “Not unless you try to carry a piano on your back will climbing down stairs.”

Fizzlepop blinked “Okay…”

Fizzlepop stood up again and took a step falling over, Trixie smiled “Keep trying you can do it.” Despite Trixie’s encouraging words at the end of the day she could only take 3 wobbly steps before losing balance.

Fizzlepop groaned “That went horribly.”

Trixie smiled “Don’t worry about it the first day is always the hardest, you’ll get better after all you are a quick learner.” The two got ready and went to bed enjoying the night.

Meanwhile

Nightmare Moon frowned as she tried to enter the dream realm, a voice asked “Are you okay?”

Nightmare Moon scowled “Luna, I’m not alright I can’t get into the dream realm, something is blocking me.”

Luna said “Well then you simply need to use one of my many backdoors, it is possible for powerful creatures to lock me out but not a single one could stop me once I got in. I’ll show one of our hidden backdoors.”

Luna floated to the dream wall and opened a hidden door with a flash of magic, Luna panted “Go, I need to recover with you at the helm I need to recover after that.”

Luna faded into the mindscape, Nightmare Moon’s spirit flew into the hole. Nightmare Moon grinned “Now I will visit the creatures that served me before.” Just as she was about to move a eagle claw smashed into her face followed by a lion’s paw then a reptilian leg pinned her to the ground. Nightmare Moon gasped “Discord!”

Discord scowled “How did you get past my barrier, Nightmare Moon. This place is very fragile, I may be the Lord of Chaos but even I don’t try to use this for my own ends, I am acting warden until you and Luna get your act together.”

Nightmare Moon scowled “How did you escape your imprisonment?”

Discord literally rolled his eyes “I didn’t, I can still sleep in there and then I appear here.” He then frowned “Anyway you are not permitted here.”

He clicked his claws and she was forced out, she screamed in her chains “BUCK!”

Luna popped into existence “What happened?”

Nightmare Moon shouted “Discord is keeping up out, he can access the dream realm and stop me! I can’t access my servants on Equis!”

Luna frowned “Then we wait until the stars free us, it’s all we can do.” Nightmare Moon groaned as their body collapsed onto the dusty surface of the moon.

Chapter 10: Siblings Reconciled

Fizzlepop awoke to see a note lying on her bed, it read

Dear Fizzlepop

Um I may have forgotten to tell my parents I’ll be spending the night.I’m heading home before they worry anymore, I’m sorry.

From Trixie

Fizzlepop sighed “I should have expected as much from her she’s not a bad pony but tends to leap before she looks.” She got some gems out of the cupboard, she happily chowed down on the gem before getting several other’s out for Spike.

Spike tumbled out of his bed, she smiled “Spike.” She gave him his plate.

Spike smiled “Thonks Fozzlepop.”

Fizzlepop giggled “It’s Fizzlepop but you almost got it.” Fizzlepop began to do some basic walking exercises, stretching her hind leg muscles and practising walking, she was able to make 4 steps before falling onto her front hooves.

She heard a cough and saw her brother standing there, he sighed “I have been unfair to you, I hope I can make some amends, I’m sorry about how I acted.”

Fizzlepop frowned internally knowing he was hiding something but it she knew he wouldn’t be keeping a secret unless there was a good reason, she smiled “I forgive you but can we spend some time together.”

Storm Blast sighed “I’m busy, I have drills to run.”

Fizzlepop asked “Can I join in the training?”

Storm Blast frowned “I can’t, it goes against protocol.” He blinked as her eyes grew wide and glimmered as she tears dripping from the side. He sighed “Fine, I never could resist your puppy dog eyes.” He frowned internally (She is a perfect copy alright, our uncle did his job well.)

He frowned “You will do the same course as my squad, if it gets too much you will stop.”

Fizzlepop nodded “Okay.”

They headed to the large training ground, Storm Blast said “I don’t have a set of armour for you so you will be doing this without one, this is dangerous Fizzlepop and I really shouldn’t let you do this.” He blinked as she levitated a suit of armour over and then she cast a spell that shrunk it down to fit her.

Fizzlepop frowned at her brother “What, it’s the last spell in the book of basic alteration magic!”

Her brother smiled as he ruffled her mane “You always were a prodigy, so your ready for this.” She nodded, his voice boomed at his guards “Front and centre all of you, we will be going through standard drills, if my little sister finishes before any of you you will all have to do one hundred sit ups.”

He frowned “Since my sister is here I will give you all refresher” he pointed to the first section “You will have to crawl through the mud pits under barber wire followed by climbing the gargantuan walls with spikes, no magic allowed,” he then bellowed “after that you will have to jump across these shaking pillars that will collapse after 2 minutes of an individual standing on it!”

He boomed “The final stage is a rapid race where padded arrows will fire at you, now all of you begin!” Fizzlepop grinned madly as she dived into the mud under the barber wire, she let a small chuckle as he dragged herself out of the mud leaving some of the more out of shape guards struggling in the mud, she carefully gripped the spike only to see a shining white unicorn with a blue mane standing at the top heading to the next part.

She was exhausted by the time she reached the top and took a moment to catch her breath as she watched the white unicorn jumping across the platforms as easily as if he was galloping on the ground, she darted down and jumped across the platforms multiple arrows bouncing against the heavy armour she was wearing. She ran down the final stretch several stallions and mares ahead of her with several behind her. When she finally arrived at the end she teleported over to a nearby bench and collapsed onto to it.

Storm Blast nodded “Private Armour, you did really well especially for one at such a young age.”

Shining Armour saluted “Thank you sir.”

Storm Blast then turned to those who had finished after Fizzlepop, he roared “I have not seen a more pathetic attempt in my life, you all lost to a filly less than half you age, one hundred sit ups now!”

Shining Armour frowned “I will join them sir, I will not let my fellow guards suffer alone.”

Storm Blast nodded “Spoken like a true soldier, loyal to the last very well I give permission.”

Shining Armour saluted “Yes Sir!”

He walked over to Fizzlepop, Fizzlepop smiled “That unicorn, he is really good at this.”

Storm Blast chuckled “He’s the cream of the crop.” he then sighed “I wish some of the other recruits take something from his example.”

Fizzlepop frowned “It’s because ponies believe Princess Celestia can defend them from all threats. However in her current state these recruits need to pull their hooves out of their flank because she ain’t protecting nopony.”

Storm Blast turned to her with a quizzical expression plastered across his face, Fizzlepop frowned “She literally passed moon duty onto me for the last few days, she doesn’t have enough magical power to keep this up much longer.”

Storm Blast growled “I’m going to kick her…”

Fizzlepop stopped him with her levitation and brought him in front of her face “If you do anything to her she may shatter, she is really frail at the moment and I won’t let you destroy her in anger, AM I CLEAR!” He gulped as he nodded, Fizzlepop smiled “Good now let’s go and get donuts.” She wrapped in her magic and dragged him after her much to the confusion of all the recruits.

Chapter 11: Friends Meet

Fizzlepop was reading a book to Spike, Spike whined “Fizzlopoop I hungy.”

Fizzlepop stomach growled “I’ll get some gems.” she teleported away before brining a bunch of gems in with her. She ate a few while he ate the rest.

Spike smiled “Tank yu.”

Fizzlepop chuckled “Your welcome.”

She frowned as she heard arguing two voices shouted “What are you doing here?!”

Another voice shouted “The Great Powerful Trixie is here to visit her friend same as you!”

Fizzlepop’s horn glowed and the door opened, she called out “Come in and don’t start arguing again or else I will be very mad.”

Trixie, Twilight and Sunburst trotted into the room, Fizzlepop frowned “What is going on, it’s been one year since that day?!”

Twilight frowned “Why is she here?”

Fizzlepop frowned “Well I’ve been helping with her magic and she has helped me learn how to walk with on my hind legs. “ She then grinned “She has been a good friend to me, you know what come with me for donuts everything’s better with donuts.” Before her friends could react, her horn glowed snatching them up and with a simple pop all four of them were in Donut Joe’s donut shop.

Donut Joe smiled “Well look who popped in, it seems you brought some friends I’ll get a platter for you all.”

Fizzlepop turned to her friends “So what is the issue.”

Sunburst scowled “How can you be friend with a pony who has such an ego, she boasts to everypony about how great she is?!”

Fizzlepop turned to Trixie, Trixie slumped over “You know that whole great and Powerful Trixie thing is an act, look I’m honestly really scared of being judged about my magic but I don’t want to break down in front of other ponies so I put on a facade to keep myself safe.”

Twilight sighed “I’m sorry I jumped to conclusions, maybe we could try to be friends.”

Trixie smiled “I would like that.”

Sunburst frowned “I’m really sorry Trixie. This whole situation reminded I have to send a message to an old friend of mine, one I have ignored ever since I came to Canterlot.”

Fizzlepop smiled “We can have some donuts and then I’ll personally go with you to greet this friend of yours, I’ll see if the Princess can provide a chariot.”

Sunburst smiled “Thanks Fizzlepop.”

Donut Joe came out and placed a platter on their table “Enjoy.”

Trixie shoved as many chocolate donuts into her muzzle as possible Sunburst and Twilight were picking out a few and carefully tasting each type before gathering a few more of their favourites. Fizzlepop smiled as she pulled her friends into a hug “I’m glad to spend time with all my friends, may we never forget out friendship.”

They all grab a donut and bump donuts “Friends forever!” They returned to Fizzlepop’s room after paying Donut Joe.

Fizzlepop frowned “I have to speak to the Princess, I’ll be right back.”

Fizzlepop left the three of them in an awkward Twilight asked “So Trixie what do your parents do?”

Trixie sighed “My parents are nobles of the Lulamoon clan, they have been trying for years to overthrow Princess Celestia in preparation for their masters return, I hate it they always treat me like a tool for their success.”

Sunburst rubs his head “I feel you, my mother is always trying to tell me do this and do that. She wants me to be a certain way, she has written out a plan for my success and doesn’t even consider I may not agree with it.”

Twilight looked between the two of them sadly “Now I feel bad.”

Sunburst shook his head “It’s you fault Twilight, you couldn't have known.”

Trixie smiled “Let’s go practise magic, take you mind off things” Twilight turned away, Trixie trotted over to Twilight and levitated Twilight’s head to meet her gaze “Look Twilight we all make mistakes, me you, Sunburst even Fizzlepop.”

Fizzlepop returned with a smile “Tomorrow we are going to leave for your home.”

Trixie grinned “Now you are going to walk more than three steps without falling, come on.” Fizzlepop groaned as her friends blinked in confusion, Fizzlepop forced herself onto her hind legs, she took fours step before face-planting. Sunburst and Twilight burst into laughter only to be silenced by Trixie's scowl “You two are joining in now, now get over here. You can’t laugh at her until you at least try to do it yourself!”

Twilight and Sunburst reluctantly dragger their hooves over, Trixie frowned “Right now you two have to push yourselves off the ground with your forelegs and move your centre of balance to further down your back towards your flank.”

The pair instantly fell over, Twilight groaned “Ow my flank.”

Sunburst moaned “Agreed”

Fizzlepop who was pushing herself off the floor“Imagine a whole day of falling over, it hurt to sit down all of the next day.”

Trixie smiled “Nonsense it took me a long time to be able to stand, I’d say within a few months will have running jumping and doing backflips.” The rest of they day until nightfall the three fillies were following Trixie’s instructions on bipedalism.

Chapter 13: Starlight's Introduction

Fizzlepop, Firelight, Starlight and Sunburst were being escorted by Royal Guards to the Throne room. Celestia frowned as they entered “Fizzlepop while I’m glad you saved those ponies, I need to remind you that you need to learn to control that anger. You did kill a lot of ponies today and I shouldn’t have to remind you off how powerful you are.” Fizzlepop nodded glumly.

Firelight approached bowing “Princess, I would like to see if I could get my daughter into your school.”

Celestia turned to him with a smile “I’ll see, this doesn’t happen often but I do hold additional tests for students who have talent.” Celestia trotted over to the filly and as her spell, she smiled “Well I think I maybe able to do something for your daughter, she has exceptional talent.”

Starlight smiled “Sunburst this mean we can hang out, practise magic and do other stuff.”

Celestia looked at Fizzlepop and sighed “I’m not mad at you, you are a young filly with a lot of fire. I will teach you some ways to mitigate your anger but it will be up to you to control it you understand.”

Fizzlepop nodded “Yes Princess.”

Celestia smiled “Good now you can go and introduce Starlight to the rest of your friends while I speak with her father for a bit.”

Fizzlepop nodded as she trotted over to Sunburst and Starlight, she put on an overly large smile as she chirped “Come on Starlight I’m going to introduce you to our two other friends.”

Fizzlepop trotted ahead, Starlight asked as they followed “Is she always like this?”

Sunburst shook his head “No, she is still upset by what happened back there don’t worry about it, for now enjoy yourself.”

Starlight frowned ‘”You all act rather adult, why can’t we just hang out and play games or something.”

Sunburst rolled his eyes “It comes with the territory, the four of us are well three nerds and one aspiring showmare, we are too busy practising magic and stuff to muck around.”

Starlight frowned “Okay we need to have a fun time or do something involving other ponies?”

Sunburst rolled his eyes “Most Canterlot ponies care for themselves and their rich friends.”

Fizzlepop smiled as pushed open the door we’re back, Trixie galloped over “Are you alright we heard about the attack?”

Sunburst shrugged “Fizzlepop took care of them all.”

Fizzlepop froze as Twilight’s eyes widened “All those bodies were because of her, Sweet Celestia.”

Fizzlepop began to cry “I didn’t mean too I’m so sorry, I just lost my temper.”

Trixie wrapped her hooves around her friend she frowned “I believe you three should hang out, I’ll take care of Fizzlepop she needs somepony to care for here.” Twilight was about to open her mouth when Trixie glared “Especially those who accidently hurt her!”

Sunburst smiled nervously, he dragged Twilight out of the room with Starlight trotting behind them confused “Let’s go raid the pantry come on.”

Twilight growled “Why are we here and not there?!”

Sunburst sighed “Fizzlepop doesn't need reassurance, she needs comfort and Trixie is providing that.”

Starlight smiled as she pulled down a cookie jar, she grinned “You want some cookies.”

Sunburst smiled “Sure.”

Twilight grumbled as she grabbed a cookie “Don’t think this argument is over.”

The trio quietly were eating cookies when the hoofsteps of a white unicorn with a blonde mane trudged, he scowled “What are you three doing here?!” The Trio gulped as angry Prince Blueblood glared at them.

Trixie was lightly patting Fizzlepop’s back as she cried moistening the blue filly’s fur, Fizzlepop’s ears swivelled as she heard Twilight screaming. Fizzlepop stood up tears still flowing from her eyes, she trotted out go the room only to see Prince Blueblood holding Twilight upside down in his magic as she screamed. Fizzlepop growled as she galloped over to him “Put her down now or else the will be consequences.”

Blueblood growled “Oh Yeah what are you going to do to me then, cry like a little foal.” Everything that day had just been too much, the anger, sorrow, fear exploded as her mane burst into flame her horn glowing as several flaming magical spears hovering in the air, she let out a massive roar that shook the castle, Blueblood ducked as a flaming spear flew past where his head was, he screamed as he dropped Twilight on her flank and bolted as the flaming Fizzlepop chased him “Somepony anypony help!”

Trixie galloped out to join Sunburst, Twilight and Starlight, Starlight blinked “Is this normal?”

Trixie frowned “If you mean Blueblood being a total jerk then yes, if you mean Fizzlepop chasing him throwing flaming spears at him then no.”

Meanwhile as Fizzlepop was chasing Prince Blueblood, Shining Armour blinked in confusion for a few moments before calling out to the two guards standing watch “We need to stop her from killing him?!”

The guards shrugged “Why should we help that stubborn arrogant prince.”

Shining Armour growled “I couldn’t give a shit about the prince, he is a spoilt brat but I won’t allow a filly to get in trouble for murdering his useless flank!”

The pegasus guard asked “So what’s the plan?”

Shining Armour frowned “You gather as many unicorn guards as you can explaining it the same way I did” he then turned to the unicorn guard “You are going to help me contain the filly in a shield.”

They both nodded, the guards galloped after the Fizzlepop and Blueblood. Shining Armour galloped over his glowing a light rose colour as a semi-transparent light rose dome shield surrounded Fizzlepop who began to violently slam magic, the barrier began to crack within a few seconds only for hundreds of other unicorn guards to begin reinforcing the shield.

Fizzlepop growls as she continues send wave after wave of magic smashing into the barrier causing it to crack, a second later the barrier explodes, Fizzlepop growls before collapsing to the floor. All of the guards collapsed just as Storm Blade and Princess Celestia gallop towards the group, Princess Celestia does a quick scanning spell on Fizzlepop and frowned “She has barely consumed any of her magic reserves, the physical exertion of unleashing so much magic knocked her unconscious.”

Storm Blade saluted “I’ll take of my guard.” He levitated his guards above his head as he galloped away.

Celestia sighed looking at her student “What I am to do with you?”

Chapter 14: Nobles Arguement

Celestia was silently fuming inside her own head as she listened to the nobles complaining “That filly attacked Prince Blueblood as well as murdered a whole bunch of ponies, she should be tossed in the dungeon.”

Another noble frowned “She should be banished from Equestria, we don’t tolerate murderers here.”

Celestia frowned “First those ponies were cultists that have been causing problems all over Equestria, now they are all wanted criminals marked for death. They were willing to wipe out a town, if we let them grow now they could end up taking out a city. Second Prince Blueblood had been almost assassinated so many times that I have an automatic pardon on any attempts as long as they are not successful, I have enough evidence to arrest half of Canterlot for attempted murder. I will be speaking to his father, this had gone to far. As for my student, she is given an exemption for protecting Equestria’s interests, now if you’ll all excuse me I have to speak to some ponies.”

Celestia groaned as she trotted out of the meeting room, Storm Blade frowned “That bad huh?”

Celestia whispered into his ear “They are a bunch of useless idiots, I only keep them around for respect to their ancestors” she then asked “Do you mind accompanying me to the noble house of Platinum, I have to discuss something with Prince Blueblood’s father?”

Storm Blade bowed “It would be an honour.” Celestia’s horn glowed and with a flash of light the pair were standing outside a massive tall mansion gold banners with platinum borders surrounded the walls, Celestia stumbled slightly after the teleportation, Storm Blade rushed to her side “Are you alright?”

Celestia nodded “Urghh I’m fine” she grieved internally (It’s getting worse.)

Storm Blade nodded “If you have any trouble, just ask and I’ll be there.”

Celestia smiled as the pair began to trot towards the mansion “Thank you.”

Storm Blade smiled “Your welcome Princess.” Strom Blade’s horn glowed as he banged a gold handle on the door.

The door was opened by a grey pony with a white mane and wine glass cutie mark, he bowed Princess Celestia “Lord Charter Platinum is ready for you.”

The pair entered the castle as the butler escorted them through the platinum hallways filled with painting of various family members before entering a golden dining room. Lord Charter Platinum was sitting in his golden chair drinking wine out of a golden chalice, he forced a smile “May I inquire as to why you are here Princess?”

Celestia frowned “I’m here to talk about Prince Blueblood, my nephew and your son.”

Charter sighed “What has he done now!”

Celestia scowled darkly shocking both Storm Blade as well as Charter “My student almost murdered him for bullying her friends.” she then mumbled “Some part of me wishes she succeeded.” Celestia shook her head “That’s not the point, the point is I need him to learn some manners so I’m sending him out to the Badlands to fight and learn something about honour.”

Storm Blade raised an eyebrow as Charter sighed “2 years ago I would have argued with you Princess but with the shear amount of death threats I suggest a few years up there would be good for him to straighten out.”

Celestia nodded “I’m glad you agree, this has been the fastest agreement I’ve had in years. I was expecting to have to drag this out for hours so a toast to success of this little meeting of ours.”

Charter chuckled “Of course Princess.” he taps a bell in which a waiter emerges with a smile, he smiles “Pour a glass of wine for the Princess and the Captain of the Guard.” The butler returns a few minutes later with the wine.

Storm Blade frowns “Are you sure I should be drinking?”

Celestia smiled “You amongst my family, you have nothing to fear.”

He nodded “Very well Princess.” The trio toasted to their success before returning to their daily duties.

Chapter 15: 13 Years Later

13 years had passed since the incident with Blueblood, Fizzlepop yawned as she pushed herself off her bed standing on her hind legs only for Spike now fully grown and as tall as Princess Celestia to walk in with gem crusted pancakes “Good Morning Mum, I made breakfast .”

Fizzlepop smiled “Thanks son, this is fantastic.” After quickly devouring the pancakes he stood up on her hind legs her muzzle on the same level as Spike’s snout “So ready to visit…?” Spike growled at the loud banging “Who in the blue blazes is banging on our door?!”

Spike and Fizzlepop walked over to the door, to see a blue mare with a Magician’s Hat on her head and a pink mare “Girls I just thought I should inform you two that me and Starlight are going to travel together.”

Starlight sighed “I enjoy Sunburst’s company and all but I need to expand my horizons, grow as a pony” she then smiled “Trixie asked if I wanted to join her as an assistant and I agreed.”

Fizzlepop smiled “That’s great, I wish you two the best of luck.”

The two unicorns smiled “We’re not leaving just yet, we need get all the supplies for our wagon and then we will be off, we’ll be off by next week at the latest.”

Spike grinned "Well we should go and attend Twilight’s birthday party.”

Trixie grinned “She’s turning twenty one is she not, maybe we should put a little gift in her punch.”

Starlight frowned “No Trixie no putting alcohol in the punch.”

Trixie pouted “You’re no fun.”

Everyone else in the room burst into laughter, Spike smiled as he grabbed a package “Let’s not forget the present we got her Fizzlepop.”

Fizzlepop smiled “Of course let’s go.” The group of four of them left the castle acknowledging the guards as they left.

Just as they left a white stallion with a blue mane galloped out of the castle, he panted “Wait for me.”

Starlight smiled “Sergeant Armour, I barely see you out of your office unless it;’s with that Princess of yours.”

Trixie grinned “So have you got some yet?”

Fizzlepop shouted “Trixie, that is not something you just ask somepony!”

Shining Armour chuckled “We have but only the plain stuff, Cadence wants to save the fun stuff for our honeymoon.”

Spike frowned “Come on we don’t want to be later for Twilight’s party, you know how she is about tardiness.”

Fizzlepop groaned “Okay screw walking everyone ready?” The all nodded, she smiled “Good” with a flash of light and a popping sound the group was outside Twilight’s home.

Spike knocked on the door, the door opened revealing two ponies, one with a grey coat and alight grey and purple mane with three purple stars as a cutie mark, the other had a gray azure coat with dark phthalo blue mane with a small white crescent moon in the shadow of a large yellow moon plastered on his flank. Fizzlepop bowed “Mr and Mrs Sparkle.”

Twilight’s mother smiled “Please call me Velvet.”

Twilight’s father smiled “Please call me Night.”

Night and Velvet let the four guests inside their home, they smiled as the pointed to a white table by the window. Spike asked as he put down Fizzlepop and his gift “Starlight, Trixie where is you gift?”

Trixie and Starlight grinned at each other as Trixie took off her hat and pulled out a large box they laughed at their friends stunned faces “We have got it handled.”

Just then another knock on the door interrupted their mirth, Velvet got to the door and opened it revealing an exhausted orange stallion carrying a small box. Starlight waved “Come on Sunburst, Twilight is going to return from the Library soon.”

Velvet shushed turning off the light as everyone as the group all got into their positions, they all smiled as the door opened as Twilight stepped into the dark, she called out “Mum Dad where are you?”

Everyone in the room grinned , Velvet flicked the light and everyone shouted out Happy Birthday Twilight!”

Twilight felt tears welling up in her eyes “Thank you all for remembering, I have been so busy lately that I have forgotten my birthday was coming.”

Fizzlepop walked over wrapping her forelegs around her friend “What kind of friends would we be if we forgot you birthday?”

Spike handed her a drink “Now it’s time to party.” Spike went upstairs and came down a few moments later bringing down a small boom-box he pressed a button and music began to play. Fizzlepop was happily watching the party go on, Trixie and Starlight were dancing bumping their flanks together, Sunburst was quietly chuckling to himself as he watched Twilight’s absurd attempts at dancing. Spike smiled as he walked over to her “This is a great party.”

Fizzlepop nodded, happy to enjoy the peaceful moment she was experiencing before anything went wrong as she knew it inevitably would, she looked out at the window preparing for her duty.

Meanwhile

Princess Celestia her white coast growing dull and her pink mane resting on her withers, she groaned as her horn flickered with light as the sun fell beyond the horizon. She dragged her exhausted body to bed and fell into deep slumber.

Chapter 16: Celestia Failure and the Dragon Attack

It was the morning after the party, Fizzlepop groaned as the light of the sun lit up the wall. She opened her eyes only to frown as she saw the sun was only half-way up in the sky and more importantly was shaking violently.

Fizzlepop got off her bed and slowly snuck of the room as Spike slept. She then burst into a run flying down the corridor, she kicked open a door with a sun and moon symbol on it to see Princess Celestia gritting her teeth as the sun refused to budge. Celestia collapsed the sun almost falling out of the sky only to be caught in Fizzlepop’s purple aura. Fizzlepop growled “Princess why didn’t you tell me that you were struggling in your duties?!”

Celestia cried out “Because it’s my domain, my special talent tells me that I am supposed to raise the sun everyday. To have to admit that I am failing the one thing that makes me special is too much!”

Fizzlepop smiled wrapping her hooves around her mentor “I‘m sorry Princess but I promise I will help you through this you have been working so hard for centuries but I will support you for as long as I live.” Fizzlepop smiled “How about we get you some cake to cheer you up.”

Just as the pair trotted out Storm Blade rushed over “Princess we have a huge problem.”

Fizzlepop frowned “What is the issue?!”

Storm Blade frowned “A huge black dragon has been spotted outside Manehatten.”

Fizzlepop shouted “Brother, the plan should be obvious get as many guards down there to stall the dragon while we evacuate the city. Who knows how many ponies could be hurt in the time you galloped over here.” Fizzlepop turned to Celestia “No you are going to eat some cake and relax.”

Storm Blade galloped away, he arrived in the guard barracks, he shouted “We are heading out to Manehatten immediately, get the copters ready!” The guards scrambled into to their gear together and flew towards Manehatten only to see the large bipedal black dragon as tall as the largest buildings in Manehatten in the nearby fields only to see a gold and white blur attacking the dragon, the dragon belched a huge spout of fire only fir the lone guard to leap out of way before running up the creature.

The guards landed only for the lone unicorn guard to shout “Back off, this is between me and him, so unless you wish to die I suggest you back off!” He ran up the dragon’s leg only to jump onto the dragon’s claw as it tried to smite him, he pulled his sword out gripping it in mouth as he stabbed it into the dragon’s then running up tearing through the dragon’s flesh before black flipping onto the dragon’s jaw before running up and tearing into the dragon’s eye.

The dragon roared belching fire as it grabbed the throwing him into the ground, he grimaced as he bounced towards his fellow guards. He pulled himself of the ground with a grimace his sword laying on the ground in front of him “Urghh that’s going to hurt in the morning, ah well time to end this.”

Storm Blade scowled “Get back here, you’ll die!”

The guard shook his head “It’s our duty to protect the lives, all of Manehatten will be destroyed and thousands of ponies will be homeless, besides compared to the endless battles in the Badlands this is nothing.” He rushed forward picking up his sword the dragon bleeding and angry began to swing it’s claws violently at him leaping onto one of the dragon claws he galloped up it‘s arm.

He then leapt at it’s neck tearing into with his blade, the dragon roared a blood began to well out of it’s neck coating the stallion’s armour in red. He leapt off the dragon as it collapsed to the ground in a bloody heap, the guard saluted to the shocked guards “Captain, threat has been eliminated and the city is safe. With your leave I will meet you in Canterlot.”

Storm Blade shook off his shock “Nonsense you are returning with us, the threat is gone, we are retuning to Canterlot.”

The guard sighed as he was dragged onto one of the chariots by several other guards, when they returned to the castle he had a quick shower to clean himself and his armour to meet with Princess Celestia. Celestia was sitting in her chair with Fizzlepop discussing national affairs when Storm Blade barged in with the stallion guard.

Celestia frowned “Storm Blade why did you barge in with this guard.”

Storm Blade saluted “Princess this guard slain the dragon by himself, all of the guards witnessed it. He said he was returning from the Badlands.”

The guard frowned “Forgive me Princess I was just returning to see my father, he is very sick.”

Celestia raised an eyebrow “It takes quite a pony to slay a dragon, I request you take your helmet off my little pony.”

He removed his helmet the illusion dissipating revealing a pale white stallion with scar across one eye it’s pupil a milky white colour, his mane a dirty blond colour. Fizzlepop looked closely before her eyes widened “Prince Blueblood, what happened to you?!”

Blueblood bowed “I have returned a changed stallion Auntie, still I’m afraid I must attend to my father.”

Celestia raised a hoof “I’m coming with you, he is part of my family as well and as such I must visit him if he is indeed unwell.”

Blueblood turned to Fizzlepop “Can you forgive me for my past indiscretions against you and your friends.”

Fizzlepop shrugged “Your actions today have proved the stallion you were is dead and buried there is nothing to forgive.”

Blueblood bowed in thanks before leaving with Princess Celestia leaving the two siblings in the room. Fizzlepop shrugged “Tell me about your life, find a mare yet?” Her brother blushed as she giggled.

Celestia and Blueblood left the castle, Celestia smiled “You know when I sent you of I was worried you would not change, I’m glad you proved me wrong.”

Blueblood frowned “When you get into battle, you have adapt or die something that is I learned very quickly. Changelings are certainly strong, I’d congratulate them on their strength if they weren’t too busy trying to kill me.”

Celestia frowned “The Badlands has always been dangerous and Changelings true danger comes from their cunning, they can easily impersonate anypony they wish even an Alicorn.”

The pair arrived at the Platinum Estate which had barely changed since Celestia’s last visit. Blueblood knocked on the door and a grey pony with a white mane and wine glass cutie mark opened the door. Blueblood smiled as he gave the butler a light hug “Wine Service, I’ve missed you.”

The butler stepped back “Thank you sir, it’s been a honour.”

Blueblood shook his head “You’re a friend of the house of Platinum, call me Blueblood.”

Wine Service bowed “Very well Blueblood I’ll escort you to your father’s room.” The two guest were escorted through dining hall and into the gaudy golden upstairs hallways walls covered in paintings of Blueblood’s ancestors.

They arrived in front of a Golden Door, Princess Celestia and Blueblood entered to see Charter lying in his bed, Charter coughed slightly “I’m sorry son for sending you out there but I believe you needed to change.”

Blueblood shook his head “I should be thanking you father I am now the stallion I always should have been.”

Princess Celestia smiled “I’m proud of him.”

Charter smiled “As am I, I believe your ready to take my place as the head of the house of Platinum.”

Blueblood shook his head “I’m not ready for the responsibility, father.”

Charter smiled as he ran a hoof through his grey mane “I’m not the strapping young colt I used to be, the very fact that you said that told me your ready. I’m old and tired, I can’t keep up with being the head of the house any more, I have quite a few years left in me but I want you to take charge of our house guaranteeing that there is a strong wise and most importantly young stallion to lead it into the future.”

Blueblood bowed “Thank you father, I will not disappoint.”

Charter chuckled “I just hope you can find a pretty mare in the future.”

Blueblood sighed “Maybe but certainly not in Canterlot, I swear even before my time away everypony wanted my hoof because I was the Prince.”

Charter chuckled “There had to a few mares in the guard to be sure.”

Blueblood deadpanned “I was a little too focused on living to focus on that,” he shook his head “I must return to the castle and start re-decorating my room, I need to get some rest before I join the guards in their training tomorrow morning.”

Charter blinked “Are you sure that’s my son?”

Celestia smiled “Yes just the fact he has grown up.”

Chapter 17: Wonderbolts

Fizzlepop was sitting in the room her brother having just left to check on the patrols. She frowned as several pegasi ponies in blue uniforms with yellow lightning bolts on the front entered the room, Fizzlepop growled “Who are you?!”

The mare at the front with a vivid orange and light amber mane growled “I am Captain Spitfire of the Wonderbolts! Who are you?!”

Fizzlepop frowned “I am Princess Celestia's personal student Fizzlepop Berrytwist.”

Spitfire growled “So you are bitch who replaced my older sister, I’m going to beat you into submission! Wonderbolts get her!”

Soarin scowled “Surprise, Blaze, Fleetfoot, Misty Fly and Rapidfire, we are Wonderbolt we don’t’ go around attacking civilians!”

Spitfire scowled “Come on are you cowards or Wonderbolts?!” Soarin cursed internally as his teammates flew towards the mare.

Fizzlepop growled “Let’s go outside, I personally don’t want to rough up this room.” Her purple magic flared up around her body as she flew out the window. Soarin cursed internally knowing Spitfire would play the coward card.

Fizzlepop hovered above Canterlot in her hooves in front of her, Spitfire roared as she charged forward only for Fizzlepop’s hoof to collide with her jaw sending her flying into Surprise. Blaze and Misty Fly then flew at her from difference angles, Fizzlepop grimaced as she only could block two incoming attacks the third slamming into her back, she then scowled as Spitfire and Surprise recovered “Okay no more miss nice unicorn!” Her aura flared up as flaming red aura replaced her purple one, before Spitfire could react she grabbed her by the tail smashing her into Surprise, she then threw Spitfire at Misty Fly before teleporting behind Blaze kicking her into Rapidfire.

Her hooves glowed as she levitated the Wonderbolts in front of her, she roared “Why did you think you could just attack me, your friend over there back at the castle knew better than that!”

She then teleported the bunch of injured Wonderbolts back into the rooms she left only to see Soarin scowling at Blueblood putting his right hoof down “Best out of 60!”

Blueblood laughed “Go on, make my day.”

She dropped the injured Wonderbolts who simply watched in shock as Blueblood slammed Soarin’s hoof into the table, Fizzlepop frowned “Blueblood, how’s you father?”

Blueblood grimaced “He’ll be fine but he has made me head of the House of Platinum, I’m not cut out for this even back in the day when I knew the political climate well I was not exactly good at it.”

Soarin frowned “As I much as your discussion is important to you two, I need to ask what should we do about the rest of my teammates?”

Fizzlepop frowned “Well maybe we should ask Celestia…”

Celestia trotted in and frowned “Ask me… oh that.” 10 minutes later Celestia frowned “Spitfire, what is this meaning of this, you are the leader of the Wonderbolts I expect better from one of the best ponies Equestria has to offer?!”

Spitfire scowled “Princess that mare replaced my sister, she doesn't deserve…”

Celestia’s voice boomed “I am well aware of what happened with my former student, I was rash and foolish, I should have told her the truth but that is far from her or Fizzlepop’s fault. Consider this your one and only warning! Next time I won’t be so lenient!”

Spitfire nodded shaking “Y-yes P-princess.”

Soarin guided his injured friends out of the room, Blueblood frowned “Was that necessary Auntie?”

Celestia nodded “Yes, it is ill-fitting for ponies in err postilion to act in such a manner.”

Fizzlepop sighed “I’m glad you arrived, I would not want more blood on my hooves” she then frowned “who were those ponies anyway?”

Blueblood frowned “Auntie, you have been hiding her under a rock haven’t you, sure she hangs out with her parents and in the castle but has really done anything else. The Wonderbolts are so famous that everypony knows them.”

Fizzlepop frowned “Why didn’t anypony tell them about me or introduce them to me.”

Celestia frowned “I was hoping to avoid you conflicting with Spitfire, ever since my former student’s disappearance she had been nervous around me.”

Fizzlepop grimaced “Who is you former student anyway, must be someone important to make her that mad?”

Celestia sighed “Sunset Shimmer a brilliant mage with immense potential, yet despite my best efforts she couldn’t make any friends and grew arrogant. It was the last straw when after finding her reading some forbidden texts she demanding me to make her an Alicorn so I banished her from the castle only for her to escape my guards and vanish.”

Blueblood nodded as Fizzlepop internally scowled (She is hiding something but what!) Fizzlepop knew she had to pay to Celestia’s secret library one more time.

By the way that red ablity is kinda like a magical kaioken except it only increases speed.

Chapter 18: Farewell Party

Trixie and Starlight were smiling as they sat there by their wagon, their farewell party was going great tables covered in food. Fizzlepop was clapping as Spike belched fire in front of a cheering audience of young foals, Princess Celestia was enjoying herself and even as Prince Blueblood was shaking in the corner.

Princess Celestia trotted over to them with a smile “I’m always glad to see my little ponies take wing, I wish you two the best of luck” she then grinned as she saw a huge cake “I’m going to eat some of that cake.”

She pouted as a purple aura surrounded her, Fizzlepop chuckled “Sorry Celestia but the cake is for later, come on let’s go and play some games.”

Trixie and Starlight chuckled “I must admit I never thought I’d see that in my lifetime.”

Sunburst facehooved as he trotted over “Okay it was funny the first time but this is getting ridiculous, look at Twilight just look.”

Trixie and Starlight burst into laughter as they saw Twilight kicking her legs in random directions. Blueblood trotted over trying to keep himself from shaking, he frowned “I will have to give her dancing lessons so she won’t embarrass herself anymore.”

Trixie smiled “Let’s go and address the crowd, Starlight we have a speech to give.”

Starlight smiled as she nodded, the two got up on a large stage, Trixie coughed drawing the attention of the crowd of ponies, she smiled “First off thanks for coming, all of you we are so glad to have you here. You all have helped us so much teaching and guiding us, thanks to my friend Fizzlepop who gave me a chance despite the fact I behaved like an arrogant bigot” she then turned to a green stallion with a red mane “thanks to Sir Stalwart who after I entered the Celestia’s school helped me learn even when all the other teachers turned on me, to Sunburst who has provided a well of theoretical knowledge, to Twilight Sparkle who taught me how to effectively to study and of course thanks to my partner Starlight who agreed to assist me in this venture.”

Starlight smiled “Thank you all as well , thanks Fizzlepop you saved my home and family as well as reuniting me with a friend I thought had given up on me” she turned to a black haired stallion “thanks to Professor Botanic who taught me how to effectively brew potions and was always happy to teach me, thanks to Twilight Sparkle who was always willing to practice magic with me, thanks to my first friend Sunburst who has been a constant inspiration with his well of knowledge and of course thanks to Trixie who has offered me this opportunity to expand my horizons.”

Just as they stepped down an exhausted pegasi guard galloped over to them, Celestia trotted over to him “Did something happen?!”

The guard nodded “Las Pegasus has been attacked by bandits, the guards can’t stop the att…”

Blueblood shouted loudly as he burst into gallop “HAVE AT THE, BANDITS, I’M COMING FOR YOU!” Everyone watched in confusion and shock as Blueblood disappeared over the horizon sword in his mouth.

Fizzlepop constructed a magical telescope and looked through it she blinked as pulled it down “He’s already half way there, I don’t know how.”

Twilight had pulled out a notebook “I must study this.”

Sunburst bopped her muzzle “Later for now we must celebrate our friends heading out into the world outside of Canterlot for the first time.”

Fizzlepop smiled “Yes now let’s cut the cake before Celestia tried to eat all of it.”

Almost everypony gasped at Fizzlepop blatantly disrespecting the Princess,they watched in horror as their Princess pouted “I was not going to eat all of it, only most of it.”

Fizzlepop, Sunburst, Twilight, Trixie and Starlight fell over laughing like mad. They heard a sweet voice ask “Sorry I’m late?”

They all raised an eyebrow at the dishevelled Princess as they got up, her mane all over the place and her wing feathers all out of alignment. They blinked as an equally dishevelled stallion galloped up “Cadence what is with the rush… oh?”

Fizzlepop grinned “So finally you two decided to muck around the bedroom huh, about time, for the Princess of love you are sure slow it took you ten months just to even get the courage to speak to him.”

Cadence pouted “He always had that stalwart guard look when on duty, I was terrified.”

Fizzlepop smiled “Relax you’re really good at your job.”

Cadence frowned “Then explain why I can’t find you a match, I’ve looked over everypony I could meet in Canterlot and not a single one matched.”

Fizzlepop whispered “I like strong mares, all mares in Canterlot even the Earth Ponies in Canterlot don’t have the kinda of definition that attracts my eye.”

Cadence slumped over “Fine anyway let’s cut that cake before Auntie goes mad.” They turn to Celestia who is glaring at the cake and laugh as they celebrate the final time their group would be together.”

Chapter 19: Preparations for the Summer Sun

Twilight screamed as she was reading the paper “Ponyville, why Ponyville, all my plans were for Cloudsdale to hold this year’s Summer Sun Celebration, we even had cloud-walking talismans made in preparation for this event!”

Spike rolled his eyes as he walked in “You still panicking we got 6 months, Celestia wouldn’t you have trusted you with this if you couldn’t handle it, just take a deep breath and relax.”

Twilight slumped over “Urghh sorry it’s just Blueblood has dancing lessons for me which I am not looking forward to and…”

The heard a loud shout shake the very castle “Have at thee Griffons I’m coming for you!”

Spike smashed his head into the table “Sweet Celestia why?!”

Fizzlepop rolled her eyes as she walked in “Don’t be so harsh, sure he is a little eccentric but he’s not that bad.”

Sunburst groaned levitating additional papers for Twilight “Urghh speak for yourself, he has disturbed my sleep on multiple occasions because of a dragon attack or a griffin raid or another incursion on our nation.”

Fizzlepop frowned “Would rather have the old Blueblood back, at least he is helping instead of hurting.”

Sunburst shrugged “True I suppose, now if you two excuse me me and Twilight have a lot of work to do.”

Spike nodded “That’s fine, we were going to join Celestia for lunch.”

Twilight smiled “Enjoy yourselves.”

Fizzlepop nodded “We will.” Fizzlepop and Spike walked out of the room leaving Twilight and Sunburst to continue their work, they continue through the hallways guards nodded to the pair as they walk past.

They enter the room to see several nobles sitting around, Fizzlepop and Spike grimaced as see two blue unicorns with pale blue and azure manes sitting at the table. Fizzlepop sits down Spike standing behind as she wore on a small smile “Princess I see you have some esteemed guests with you.”

The stallion speaks “I am Lord Lulamoon, my wife is Lady Lulamoon and we came here to speak privately with the Princess.”

Fizzlepop grimaced “If this is about the “mare in the moon” I know enough to be involved.”

Spike frowned “It’s about that is it, I’m not leaving my mother’s side.”

Lady Lulamoon frowned “Very well.”

Lord Lulamoon turned to Celestia “I implore you Princess, when Nightmare Moon returns I beg of you surrender.”

Spike growled “You speak of…”

Fizzlepop raised a hoof “Enough Spike, let me handle this!” Spike nodded in response, Fizzlepop turned to the two Lulamoons “I have seen your Queen’s form, it may have been an illusion but a perfectly crafted one, Nightmare Moon is naught but a filly who has a thousand years of hatred and pain not her own thrust upon her, she is no more fit to run Equestria then a filly who has not learned yet to speak.”

Lord Lulamoon growled “You dare insult our..”

Celestia roared “Enough, I don’t keep you despite your worship of Nightmare Moon in my counsel so you can mouth off, I keep you in it because I don’t trust you! As the old adage goes ‘keep you friends close and your enemies closer’ I have been watching your movements for years in order to prevent you mustering any support for you master, now get out of my sight!”

The two nobles galloped out the room as fast as their hooves could carry them, Celestia winced “I may have gone too far.”

Fizzlepop shrugged “Nonsense those two learned their place well enough for now we must prepare for the the Summer Sun Celebration” she chuckled “I must say you flustered Twilight with the last minute change.”

Celestia frowned “I know it’s a last minute change but I need the celebration close to Canterlot this year” She grimaced internally (This will be my last celebration for a long time I fear.)

Spike smiled “So who wants to go get some donuts, that was far too serious for my liking so let’s go out and relax.”

Celestia smiled “Gladly.”

Fizzlepop smiled “Let’s go, dealing with nobles makes me hungry.” Celestia giggled as trotted after them enjoying what little time she has left.

This is the final setup for thousandth Summer Celebration Next Chapter we all know what is going to happen although I have a few twists for this event.

Chapter 20: Summer Celebration Part 1

Twilight frowned handing Spike a piece of paper“Spike here is the list of ponies you need to meet with, you and Fizzlepop are going to be there to make sure everything goes smoothly.”

Spike shrugged “Don’t worry it will be fine.”

Twilight scowled her horn glowing with magic “Spike, this is serious you and Fizzlepop are leaving in an hour so you better be ready by then!”

Spike left quickly to gather Fizzlepop, Sunburst frowned “That was harsh.”

Twilight frowned “This is the most important day of the year, we can’t have them muck this up.”

Sunburst sighed “Come on lay down, they will handle this now.” Twilight laid down on the nearby couch, Sunburst trotted over and then slowly massaging her back, Twilight smiled as she melted “Thanks Sunburst.”

Sunburst smiled “Relax, all will be well.”

Meanwhile Spike barges into Fizzlepop’s room, Fizzlepop smiled “Look at this Spike, it appear that our friends have been making waves.”

She shows him a paper from Manehatten two months, he read “Trixie Lulamoon and Starlight Glimmer awarded a medal for bravery for…” he turned to Fizzlepop his eyes wide “luring an Ursa Major away from the city!”

Fizzlepop smiled “Yes exactly they are doing well.”

Spike shook his head “Come on we got to check on Ponyville’s preparations for the Summer Sun Celebration we will be leaving in forty five minutes!”

Fizzlepop rolled her eyes her horn glowing as a giant magic hand pointed to the saddle bags and backpack on the bed “I packed our bags last night, I offered to check on the local affair at the Summer Sun Celebration for Twilight remember, I may not be little miss organised but I do still prepare when necessary.”

Forty-Five minutes later the pair were sitting in the carriage pulled by four pegasi guards, Fizzlepop smiled “First time out of Canterlot, I must admit I am truly excited.”

Spike smiled as she looked down at the colourful wooden buildings with roofs made of perfectly aligned hay “Well we’re almost there.”

The golden carriage landed as the Half-Mystra and Dragon departed the carriage, they waved goodbye as the carriage left. Fizzlepop saw a pink pony bouncing through the square, she trotted over “Hello my name is…” She raised an eyebrow as the pony gasped jumping into in the air and darted away ;lightning fast away from the pair.

Spike frowned “That’s weird.”

Fizzlepop rolled her eyes “Not really, it’s not everyday you see a dragon and a bipedal unicorn.”

Spike nodded “True” he then turned to his paper now we have to go and see a mare named Applejack at Sweet Apple she is working with a mare named Pinkie Pie to cater for the event.

Fizzlepop frowned “I believe we met Pinkie Pie already so let’s go and meet with Applejack.” The two walked through the town getting odd looks from the local populace they arrived at the farm.

Fizzlepop blinked as she saw an orange mare bucking trees, she blushed (Sweet Celestia she is ripped) she could see the muscles rippling with each kick (I really needed to get out of Canterlot.) Her blush grew as the strong mare trotted towards her and Spike.

The orange mare smiled as she tilted her stetson mounted atop her blonde mane “Hello mah name is Applejack it’s good to see more folk around her, now how can I help you?”

Fizzlepop shook her head glad the mare didn’t notice her blush “We are here to check on the catering for the Summer Sun Celebration.”

Spike smiled coyly “Yes now if my mother wouldn’t get distracted we can actually continue.”

Fizzlepop blushed as Applejack frowned “Mother, she doesn’t look like your mother.”

Spike deadpanned “Adopted , she has hatched my egg and taken care of me since she was a foal.”

Applejack frowned “Why would somepony so young be given such a responsibility?”

Spike nudged Fizzlepop, Fizzlepop frowned shaking her head “What?”

Applejack frowned “Why were you allowed to raise him?” Fizzlepop grinned as her horn glowed revealing a pair of slitted opal eyes her mouth opening revealing razor sharp teeth, Applejack reared up in response “Whoa Nelly you’re a Kirin!”

Fizzlepop growled “The term is not Kirin, it’s Mystra and my mother is a Mystra, I’m only Half-Mystra otherwise I would have wings and scales in places!”

Spike shook his head “Look just show us the catering and we’ll be on our way.”

Applejack smiled “This way come this way.” They were guided to a small table, she then shouted “Soup’s on everypony!”

Spike asked “So what now?”

Applejack smiled “Now I’m going to introduce you to the family” she began shouting out names as ponies began galloping over from every direction “Apple Fritter, Apple Tart, Red Gala, Red Delicious…” Fizzlepop and Spike smiled as food piled up in front of them.

Spike frowned “Are you sure we can stay to eat all this food we have a lot of work to do?”

A little yellow filly whimpered “Aren’t you going to stay for Brunch?”

Fizzlepop grinned “You heard the filly they provided samples so dig in.” Spike sighed as the pair sat down and dove into the food.

Thirty minutes later Spike groaned as he slowly walked forward “I ate too much food.”

Fizzlepop sighed “You ate too much, just because you are a full dragon doesn’t make you a bottomless pit of consumption.” She frowned “So we need to… watch out!

She backflipped out of the way as a rainbow blur crashed into the ground, she looked up to see a blue pegasi mare with a rainbow mane groaning “Ow!”

Fizzlepop grimaced looked up to see the blue mare and blushed as she saw the lean muscles underneath her coat, the blue mare asked “Hey what are you.. you’re blushing why.”

Spike frowned “She finds you attractive, she is staring at your flank right now.”

Fizzlepop blushed harder “Spike!”

The blue mare blushed “Stop looking at my flank, I feel uncomfortable!”

Fizzlepop shook her head “Sorry, I just kinda haven’t seen strong attractive mares like you and Applejack where I live.”

The blue mare shook her head as well “Where did you come from anyway?!”

Fizzlepop said “Well actually I’m here from Canterlot to help preparations, I’m currently looking for a Rainbow Dash who’s in charge of weather.”

The blue mare grinned “That’s me Rainbow Dash Captain of Ponyville’s weather team and soon to be Wonderbolt.”

Spike frowned “You are to get those clouds cleared up by the time of the Celebration or else I will send Twilight at you she is scary.” He then dragged Fizzlepop away to the Town Hall.

Spike slapped her as they entered the Town Hall, Fizzlepop groaned “What was that for?”

Spike rolled his eyes “You were blushing madly and making her blush.”

Fizzlepop scowled “It’s not my fault I haven’t seen many strong sexy mares in Canterlot.”

Spike grimaced “Well let’s not get distracted first we have to speak with Rarity about decorations.” He then frowned as he saw a beautiful white mare with a purple mane “Come on Fizzlepop I believe that is her.” Fizzlepop nodded as the pair walked over to the mare.

Fizzlepop asked “You’re Rarity right I need to..”

Rarity smiling said “Darling just wait a moment I’m in the zone, Oh yes that red fits perfectly with that green.” she then turned around “Now how can I he..” she gasped “What happened to your horn, it’s so rough and coarse?!”

Fizzlepop grimaced “I put my horn under intensive strain regularly.”

Rarity shook her head “Now now I can’t have that come with me I…”

Fizzlepop shook her head “No, if I file my horn to be like yours it will snap under the force of the strain I put it under daily.”

Spike nodded “I’ve seen her work , her horn wouldn’t be able to take it otherwise.”

Rarity blinked “What could you possibly doing that would require..?”

Fizzlepop raised her hoof “It’s not important, I am just here from Canterlot to..”

Rarity voice rose several octaves “Canterlot, the glamour and wonder where only the most elite of ponies. The legendary Prince Blueblood the most noble and Chivalrous...”

Fizzlepop began to giggle while Spike laughed as they imagined her meeting Prince Blueblood him shouting (“Have at thee ,Dragon, I’m coming for you.” her shocked expression as he galloped off into the distance.)

Rarity then turned to Fizzlepop “Allow me to make you a dress as a sign of my appreciation that you have come to our fair town.”

Fizzlepop grimaced seriously “No thanks, look Canterlot is not all it’s cracked up to be. Celestia kept me from interacting with any of them, so clearly they are the kind of ponies that you shouldn't try interact with, anyway we have more work to do before the day is done.”

Spike nodded “We should be meeting with Fluttershy, she lives in a little cottage on the outskirts of town.” The two left leaving one stunned unicorn behind.

They walked out to see a small path leading to a cottage as they approached they heard a soft pleasant melody, Fizzlepop walked over with Spike “Excuse me are you Fluttershy?”

Fluttershy jumped before turning around, Fizzlepop approached Fluttershy' relaxed as she saw her eyes “You’re a Mystra?”

Fizzlepop smiled “Half actually my mother is Mystra, still I’m glad one pony knows what I am, this is my adopted son Spike.”

Spike bowed “It’s a pleasure to meet you, we just came here to check on the music and you seem to be doing really well.”

Fluttershy blushed “Thanks, um can I ask you a few questions on the way.”

Fizzlepop and Spike smiled “Sure, we are staying at the local library.”

Fluttershy nodded “The Golden Oaks Library, I’ll show you the way if you like.” The pair nodded still smiling, they happily discussed their lives mentioning old stories and more than few embarrassing ones Fluttershy giggling as they shot friendly jabs at one another.

They smiled “Fluttershy come and join us.”

Fluttershy sheepishly nodded “Okay.” As the soon as they entered they saw the room was dark before a pink pony jumped out bowling them over as many voices shouted in unison “Welcome Fizzlepop and Spike to Ponyville!”

Fizzlepop blinked with a smile as tears flooded her eyes “A party for us, thank you all.”

Spies smiled as he wiped her tears “Come on mum let’s party.”

Pinkie Pie bounced over as she smiled ‘Hi I’m Pinkie Pie I saw you were knew and I…”

Fizzlepop frowned “Could you please slow down just a little, how about we go get some punch and then we chat.”

Pinkie Pie smiled “Okie Dokie Lokie.”

All the ponies looked at her weirdly “How did you do that?”

Fizzlepop shrugged “Did what?” she walked over to Pinkie Pie were they had a long conversation about magic, cakes and magical cakes. All of Ponyville partied through out the night before heading out to the Town Hall for the Sunrise Ritual, none of them noticed that the unicorn symbol on the moon vanishing due to the sun’s presence in the sky.

Chapter 21: Summer Sun Celebration Part 2

On the moon Nightmare Moon was grinning as stars approached the moon, as soon as they arrived they glowed shattering the shackles. Nightmare Moon began to sing as she took off

A pony who wielded the might of the night
A mare who simply sought love
She gave it her all and did her best
Yet hidden in the shadow of her sister

A pony who was drawn into the shadows
A pony whose heart grew cold
Her pain grew with each day
Yet her sister paid her no heed

A pony hated by all
A pony who became a Nightmare
A pony who was abandoned
A pony who was forgotten

A pony who has returned
A pony who will bring her sister down
A pony who will finally be recognised
A pony who will return home

Darkness will cover all
As I extinguish the light
For I am the Nightmare
It is the time for the night to last forever

Nightmare Moon turned into smoke and flew into a room, she grinned as she saw her Celestia “Hello Celestia.”

Celestia growled “Nightmare Moon!”

Nightmare Moon snarled “You have reigned for long enough!” with a blast of magical energy Celestia flew out crashing into the wall of the Town Hall shocking all the ponies in the room, they then watched as the sun dipped below the horizon to be replaced with the moon. Nightmare Moon trotted out “Now I’m going to finish you.”

She fired a beam at her but was stopped by Fizzlepop who jumped in the way putting up a shield with her hooves. Nightmare Moon grinned “Hoof-casting, I haven’t met a single unicorn who practised the art.”

Fizzlepop grinned “It’s be a while Nightmare, that scar I gave you looks good on you.”

Nightmare Moon growled “That was you, I’m going wipe the both of you off the face of the Equis, Astral Star Spear!” Celestia gasped as she saw the spear forming her mind flashing back to the last time her sister had used the ability.

One thousand years ago, Discord grinned “So the Mighty Alicorns of the Sun and Moon decided to challenge me, very well I’ll give you one free shot each!”

Luna roared “Draconequus we will make thee regret thy actions, Astral Star Spear!” Celestia watched in shock as the mighty spear charged up before tearing into the Draconequus disintegrating his upper body.

Back in the present the fully charged spear clashed with the shield shaking the ponies out of their stupor as massive magical sparks flew off in every direction. The two Alicorns gasped as the spear shattered but Fizzlepop’s shield wasn’t even scratched.

Fizzlepop frowned at Nightmare Moon “Look there are two options for you now, one you leave, two we fight your choice.”Nightmare Moon’s eyes widened as she turned into smoke leaving the building” Fizzlepop smiled at her Celestia “I promise I will save your sister.”

She galloped out of the building as Mayor Mare shouted “Guards take Princess Celestia to the local hospital, then form up a defensive perimeter around it. Everypony else I recommend you return to your homes for your own safety.”

Nightmare Moon meanwhile was flying to the Castle of the Two Sisters, she landed in the rubble of the throne room and cried “I’m gg-going to d-die.”

Luna spoke to her “What are you talking about?”

Nightmare Moon cries grew louder “They are going use the elements and kill me, I don’t want to die!” Luna didn’t now what to say so she wrapped her presence around her only companion.

Meanwhile Fizzlepop was looking through books “Elements elements, where is it?!”

Spike barged in “You left me back there, I want to help too.”

Fizzlepop turned around “Sorry Spike but I need to find a book on the elements, they were the items that sealed Nightmare Moon away, maybe they could be used to cleanse her.”

They blinked as Rainbow Dash flew in grinning “That was totally awesome!”

Applejack followed her in “Yes it was, now do you have a plan to stop that mare?”

Pinkie Pie entered and bounced over to the bookshelves, Rarity trotted in with Fluttershy hiding behind her. Rarity turned to Applejack “We are going to help her aren’t we?”

Fizzlepop frowned “Well I’m looking for a book on the Elements of Harmony, they were the items who banished her to the moon, maybe they can cleanse her but I need that book.”

Pinkie Pie suddenly bounced over with a mad grin “Here it was under E.”

Fizzlepop groaned “I forgot this was a small town…” she frowned as began to read

Six elements exist but only five are known of Laughter, Loyalty, Honesty, Kindness, and Generosity, all that is known about the sixth is powerful spark will bring it into the world. The five currently discovered elements reside within in Castle of the Two Pony Sisters that is deep within the Everfree Forest.

Everyone save Fizzlepop and Spike jumped “The Everfree Forest!”

Fizzlepop headed towards the door “I’m going to head there now alone.”

Spike shook his head “Not alone, I’m not letting my mother run into danger.”

Applejack smiled “Your mah friend and Ah’m not gonna let ya go in alone no matter what you say.”

Rainbow grinned “Even a bad-ass like you can’t do everything on their own.”

Rarity shouted “Rainbow Dash that was uncouth!” she then turned to Fizzlepop as she flicked her mane “I’m coming with you, a lady never abandons her friends.”

Fluttershy smiled “I’m coming too” she then whispered quietly “even if I’m terrified.”

Pinkie Pie bounced by “I’m coming to keep you all happy and joyful, oh after this we’ll have a we saved Equestria party!”

Spike chuckled “Sorry mum but we can’t let you do this alone.”

Fizzlepop frowned “Fine you can come but if things get really hairy I expect you to run.” They all nodded, Fizzlepop guided them to the outskirts of the forest, she turned to them “Last chance to change your mind before we go in.”

Fizzlepop frowned as they entered “So what’s so scary about this forest.”

Applejack frowned “It is unnatural, it doesn’t follow the same rules as Equestria does.”

Fizzlepop facehooved “That isn’t a very good answer.”

Rainbow grinned as she prowled toward Fizzlepop, Rarity and Fluttershy “ Nopony knows. Do you know why?”

Applejack stomped not noticing she accidently cracked part of the cliff “Stop it Rainbow!”

Rainbow ignoring her continued to prowl “Cause anypony who entered the forest never returned.” As she spoke that last word the cliff collapsed, Rainbow, Fluttershy and Spike took to the air as, Applejack, Fizzlepop, Rarity and Pinkie Pie slipped down the cliff. Spike and Rainbow Dash managed to catch Pinkie and Rarity who fell off first, Applejack managing to skid to a halt and galloped over to catch Fizzlepop.

Applejack groaned “You’re really heavy, I can’t pull ya up.”

Fizzlepop shouted “That doesn’t help me does, tell me how to fix this!”

Applejack smiled “Let go.”

Fizzlepop roared “Are you crazy, why would I do that?!”

Applejack smiled looking into her eyes “Trust me Ah’m your friend and you’ll be safe.”

Fizzlepop saw the look in the eyes there was no lies, only truth and assurance, she nodded “Okay I trust you.”

She closed her eyes and let go the she heard a voice “She is really heavy, how are you not flinching?!”

She opened her eyes to see Spike roll his eyes “I’m a dragon, strength is one of our specialities, we may not be as fast as you Pegasi but we are stronger to compensate.”

Fizzlepop smiled “Thanks, I thought I was a gonna.”

Spike facepalmed “Did you forget you can fly with your magic?”

Fizzlepop looked at the group blushing in embarrassment “Yes.” The rest of the group groaned as they continued onwards.

Rainbow grinned “Me and Spike swooped in and saved you it was just so awesome.” Fizzlepop groaned, her attraction to the blue mare was fading, sure she was definitely physically appealing but her ego was too much for them to be anything more than friends, she was shaken out of her thoughts by a huge roar. They all turned to see a furious dragon glaring at them.

Rainbow grinned “I got this.” She darted through the air slamming into the dragon’s face and then flew around it as it tried to retaliate, she boasted “Come and get...” The dragons tail slammed into her sending her flying.

Fizzlepop and Spike were about to rush the dragon when they heard a small quiet “Wait!” They stopped as Applejack jumped onto the back of the creature tying a rope around it’s neck, the dragon looked down and belched fire incinerating the rope before throwing the Apple farmer off her back.

Rarity was about to shoot a beam of magic when Fluttershy jumped in the way “Wait!” The dragon roared as Fluttershy approached, the dragon eyed her warily, she looked around the to see a sharp blade stuck in it’s back, she pulled a small salve bottle out of her mane. She fluttered over to the blade and turned to the dragon “I’m sorry but this will hurt.” She wrapped her mouth around the blade and pulled it out with a heave, the dragon roared out in pain, Fluttershy then carefully applied the salve on the wound with her hooves as the dragon began to calm down.

The dragon turned to Fluttershy with a smile “Thank you young mare, a bold griffon stabbed me with that blade long ago, I lost myself to madness due to the pain.”

Rainbow flew over grinning as the dragon flew away “That was awesome!”

Fluttershy blushed “It was nothing, sometimes you need to show a little kindness.”

Fizzlepop smiled “That was good work Fluttershy” she then looked forward “We have to get to the Castle.”

As they adventured through the forest which grew darker Rarity whined “Urghh my eyes need to rest from all this icky muck?!”

Fizzlepop frowned as the are got completely dark “Well looks like you got your wish.”

Fizzlepop and Spike growled as a bunch of scary trees glowed which caused everypony else save Pinkie Pie who was laughing, to scream. Everyone looked at the laughing mare, Spike raised an eyebrow “Why are you laughing?”

Pinkie smiled “Well you see…”

When I was a little filly and I…

Fizzlepop sighed “Is she…?”

Rainbow nodded “Yep.”

One musical montage later Fizzlepop and Spike were chuckling as their new friends were bouncing along with Pinkie Pie in the lead, they bumped into each over a massive lake. Rainbow growled “Great now how are we going to cross this lake.”

They blinked as they heard sobbing, they wandered over to see two fish-like creatures one was yellow and the other purple near the end of the river. Rarity galloped over to them “What wrong?”

The pair cried “Our sister fell off when a massive wave of water pushed her down, she is hanging on a branch” the held up a rope tied to a log “We made a rope but it’s not long enough and there a no more vines.”

Everyone else arrived only to see Rarity looking at the rope and then over toe the struggling blue one hanging from a weak branch. She then turned to see a sharp blade like stone, she closed her eyes and with two sharp cuts everyone saw a large portion of her mane and tail lying on the ground, her horn glowed as she wrapped the strands together and then attached them to the rope which threw done, with the increased length the blue one was able to grab the rope.

After their sister was pulled up they smiled, the yellow one smiled “I’m Adagio, the purple one is Aria and the blue one is Sonata, we’re sirens living peacefully in the Everfree Forest.”

Aria raised a fin “Sup.”

Sonata cheered “I’ll take you to the other side of the river just jump on my back.” The girls and the drake jumped on Sonata’s back as they were sailed across the river once they got off Sonata smiled “Bye, have a good day.”

Sonata returned to her sisters, Adagio smiled holding a blue gem around her neck “Thanks Sunset for everything.”

Fizzlepop’s group rushed forward, Fizzlepop backflipped as as she almost feel off the edge. Fizzlepop looked over the broken bridge “There’s the castle but how do we get across.”

Rainbow smiled flapping her wings “I’ll go and fix that bridge, I’ll have it done in 5 seconds flat.”

Meanwhile Luna turned to Nightmare Moon “You have done well but I’m taking control it’s my turn.” Nightmare Moon nodded as Luna took control of the body, Luna growled “I can’t let them into the castle her horn glowed as three bat-winged ponies wearing black Wonderbolt uniforms flew out.

Rainbow flew over to the other side, as soon as she was about to begin fixing the bridge the three bat-winged ponies landed, Rainbow asked “Who are you?”

They grinned “We are the Shadowbolts, the Everfree Forest’s greatest flying team. The only thing that is missing is our leader, you.”

Rainbow grinned “Sure just let me help my friends.”

The shook their heads “It’s them or us.” Just as Fizzlepop was about to shout a bunch of clouds cut her off.

Rainbow growled “I’m not turning my back on my friends, no matter what happens.” she quickly attached the rope bridge to the other side, just as she was flying over the three Shadowbolts flew after her, before they could do anything Spike flew in front of them and breathed a a massive green flame turning them into the shadows that spawned them.

Rainbow smiled “Thanks.”

Spike grinned ‘You’re welcome.”

Fizzlepop smiled “Thanks for sticking by us.”

Rainbow shook her head “I will not abandon my friends, not for anything.”

The group entered the castle throne room, Fizzlepop frowned “We should be looking for an altar of some kind that would support such a powerful group of artefacts.” As they roamed a pair of slitted eyes was watching them closely.

Spike called out “I think I found the room! They entered to see a large pillar with 5 stones on it.

Fizzlepop frowned “Everyone can you help me get these down, they are quite heavy and I’d rather not waste magic I could use to activate them.” Rainbow and Fluttershy carried one each while Spike carried the other three down. Fizzlepop looked at them “Could you please leave me to study these stones.”

Rainbow frowned “Are you sure be okay.”

Applejack frowned “Sugarcube we just don’t want you to get hurt.”

Fizzlepop smiled “I’ll be fine, trust me I just need to figure out how these stones work.” Her friend nodded as they stood outside the room Her horn glowed as she tried to activate the elements, she grimaced “Come on come on..” Suddenly Nightmare Moon slammed into the ground and with a cyclone of darkness teleported them to a higher tower within the castle.

Fizzlepop eyed the Alicorn warily “Nightmare Moon, I warned you earlier.”

The Alicorn shook her head “I’m may look the same but Nightmare Moon has passed control back to me, I’m Luna Princess of the Night and for starters…” She slammed her hooves down at the elements shattering them. She then dissapeared in a flash before appearing in front of Fizzlepop “Now you die!”

Her hoof slammed into Fizzlepop sending her flying Luna turned away only to hear movement, she turned around and her eyes widened as she pointed at Fizzlepop who forced herself to her hind hooves “You should be dead, no unicorn should be able to survive that.”

Fizzlepop began rolling her withers “Hmm I guess I’ m special, well let’s see how you like this, blitz x 10!” a huge red aura surrounded her disappeared in ha red flash only for Luna to dodge with a similar flash.

Applejack opened the door slightly and shouted “Fizzlepop’s gone!”

Spike heard an explosion of power coming from an area upstairs, Spike growled “I think I now where they are?”

Rainbow shouted “Let’s go!”

Fizzlepop and Luna were smashing into each other, Fizzlepop looked at the elements as she hear shouting “We’re coming Fizzlepop!”

Fizzlepop landed powering down, she smiled “I realise now what I should have seen earlier the elements are not someling that can be truly destroyed, they come from within us.”

She smiled as everyone else entered the room, they all shouted “Are you alright?!”

Fizzlepop smiled “I am now that you’re all here” she then grinned at Luna “Applejack she was reassured me when I was in doubt is the Embodiment of Honesty” the elements attached to her neck sending her flying into the air, she then turned to Fluttershy “Fluttershy who helped a dragon without any concerned for own safety is the Embodiment of Kindness” Fluttershy flew into the air joining Applejack

Fizzlepop continued “Pinkie Pie who inspired us all by laughing in the face of fear is the Embodiment of Laughter” Pinkie Pie joined the other two floating above them “Rarity who was willing to give up her mane and tail to help strangers she didn’t even know is the Embodiment of Generosity ” Rarity flew into the air as well. Fizzlepop smiled as she turned to Rainbow “Rainbow who stood by her friends rather than seek her own goals is the Embodiment of Loyalty” Rainbow joined them leaving just Spike and Fizzlepop on the ground.

Luna grinned “So what you don’t have sixth element, you can’t beat me.”

Fizzlepop smiled “I felt it interacting with six of them, a spark of power, the happiness I feel with them my friends.” A crown with a six pointed star landed on her head sending her flying into the air.

Luna roared as the elements started to activate “No I won’t let you!” just as she fired off a blast of magic the elements fried off a rainbow laser at Spike and with a flash he was wearing a rainbow suit of armour, he flew in the way deflected the magic with a swing of his claw. Fizzlepop whispered “Please save them both?” The element of magic flashed slightly in response to her plea.

Luna screamed as a huge rainbow blast enveloped her “No stop don’t hurt…”

The six bearers landed, Fluttershy comment “You tail and mane is back.”

Rarity blinked as she looked at her tail and mane “They’re back.”

Rainbow grinned “These gems are pretty cool aren’t they.”

Spike chuckled as he flew over, he lifted his helmet “Not as cool as my armour.”

Fizzlepop turned to see a small Alicorn lying there, Fizzlepop frowned as she approached “Luna…”

Luna growled at her as she got close “You killed her, she’s gone because of you!”

Fizzlepop frowned “Um no I didn’t want to hurt either of you and the element of magic felt my intent.” Luna was about to interject when Fizzlepop lifted her wing revealing a little Thestral Alicorn.

The little Alicorn looked up her and whimpered “Please don’t hurt me?”

Fizzlepop levitated the filly into her forelegs and smiled “I won’t hurt you although I believe the name Nightmare Moon doesn't fit for a little filly like you.”

Everyone else in the room shouted “That’s Nightmare Moon!”

Fizzlepop turned to Luna her eyes narrowing “Yes a little filly who was forced to endure the hate of one thousand years because of jealous mare” she then shook her head as she smiled turning to the Alicorn filly “What would you like your name to be?’

The filly looked up her teal slitted eyes glimmering “Moonlight.”

Fizzlepop smiled “Well Moonlight do you want to join us for the sunrise, for a new dawn?” Moonlight nodded happily, Fizzlepop smiled “Come one everypony it’s time for the dawn.” Fizzlepop walked out her five friends around her, her son walking beside her with Luna trailing behind them, Fizzlepop’s horn glowed as the moon began as the moon began to dip below the horizon.

Luna grumbled “She is raising my moon…” her eyes then widened as Fizzlepop’s horn glowed a little brighter a faint outline of aura surrounded the sun “How are you raising the sun!”

Her five new friends shouted “What you raise the sun!”

Fizzlepop nodded “Yes, Celestia has been incapable of raising it for a while and thus I stepped in so to speak.”

Luna frowned as she sent a simple scanning spell over her“There’s no way you shoudler have the magic to…” she paused as the result shocked her.

Fizzlepop frowned “You know scanning a pony without their permission is very…”

Luna turned to her “You’re a golem.”

Fizzlepop’s eyes widened “I’m a what, I’m no golem. I have parents and siblings, I have a family!” She frantically cast a scanning spells tears welled up in her eyes as she wailed “I’m not real, I’m a fake a fake!”

Applejack smiled “You’re our friend, it doesn’t matter to us.”

Rainbow Dash shrugged “I don’t know what a golem is but you were awesome enough to lead us through the Everfree.”

Rarity smiled “Darling we will support you.”

Fluttershy approached her “It’s not about how you came to be, it’s about who you are and what good you actions have done and judging by what has happened today I’d say you have done great things.”

Pinkie Pie quietly trotted over with a warm smile giving her a light hug with a smile, Moonlight looked at Fizzlepop “You saved me when I thought no-one would care, you were willing to give me a chance at a normal life, thank you.”

Fizzlepop smiled “Thank you all of you.” She then looked to the sun “I believe we should return home, everyone put a hoof or claw on me.” Everypony even Luna who hesitated slightly did so, then in a flash of light they arrived in Ponyville Central Square.

Ponies looked at the group, Fizzlepop smiled “We have returned and Nightmare Moon will trouble us no longer” she then smiled as she summoned a giant magical hand that began to scratch behind Moonlight’s ears, Moonlight relaxed as she fell asleep.

Celestia trotted over to them and smiled “I’m glad your all safe.”

Fizzlepop smiled “Guess who’s back?”

Fizzlepop’s group moved out of the way only to see Luna looking at her older sister tears in her eye, Celestia galloped over to her sister tears forming in her own eyes “I’m so sorry Luna for everything, I should have listened to you.”

Luna tear began to flow as she approached “I’m sorry too, I was just so angry and I took it out on you when you didn’t deserve it.”

Fizzlepop holding the sleeping Moonlight was smiling when Pinkie Pie shouted as she pulled a cannon out of her mane “Party Time!” Fizzlepop shook her head as a huge party was set up.

Fizzlepop trotted over to Celestia who along with her sister were looking confused “I need to speak to you in private.”

Celestia frowned “Very well,” she then turned to her sister “I have to discuss something with my student I’ll be right back.”

Luna grinned “Okay sister, I’ll go eat some cake before you comeback and eat it all.”

Celestia stuck her tongue out as she and Fizzlepop headed towards a dark alleyway. Fizzlepop’s cats a soundproofing spell and then turned to her mentor “Did you know I was golem?”

Celestia nodded “Your brother told me, it was why he acted coldly towards you.”
Fizzlepop took a deep breath, Celestia raised an eyebrow “You’re not mad.”

Fizzlepop chuckled coldly “No I am absolutely livid” she then stopped chuckling as she glared at Celestia “I will not explode while I’m holding Moonlight here.”

Celestia frowned “Nopony noticed because of Luna but Alicorns don’t just pop out of thin air not to mention she is a Thestral Alicorn which has never happened before.”

Fizzlepop grinned “Remember how I suggested I could save them both and you told me it was impossible, well you were wrong.” Celestia scowled as she turned to the filly, only for Fizzlepop to scowl at her “You will not hurt her, she was created as a scapegoat for your sister’s anger and hatred towards you. I will give her a normal life.”

Celestia frowned “An Alicorn should be raised by another Alicorn.”

Fizzlepop frowned “First off Canterlot if is a poor place to raise an Alicorn filly who doesn’t want to be drawn into the Canterlot Nobility’s political nonsense and Second you will be busy helping Luna adjust to this day and age. I have the power to raise an Alicorn and I can live in this town to do so, it is close to Canterlot yet is small enough to keep the attention of the Canterlot nobles away from it.”

Celestia nodded “Very well you can stay here, you have clearly thought about this and I can’t stop you. I’ll will give you custody of her as soon as possible” Celestia then turned back to the party “I need to get some cake.” Fizzlepop facehooved as she followed her mentor back to the party wishing for some peace and quiet over the next few days.

Chapter 22: Adapting to a new life

Fizzlepop awoke in the Golden Oaks Library only to see Moonlight staring into her eyes. Fizzlepop frowned “Did you sleep last night?”

Moonlight whimpered “I couldn’t sleep, I just couldn’t.”

Fizzlepop looked over the filly’s wings as well as her slitted eyes before face-hooving “Urghh you’re a Thestral Alicorn, I need to get you a sleeping perch.”

Moonlight raised an eyebrow “A sleeping perch, why would I need a sleeping perch?” Fizzlepop gently poked her hooves and a set of claws extended from her hooves, Moonlight blinked in confusion.

Fizzlepop smiled “Thestrals have retractable claws, it’s one of the major traits that makes them different from Pegasi, the front ones are a weapons and the back one are used for sleeping. I’ll send a letter to Celestia to acquire one in the meantime we should spend some time together around town.”

She then quickly wrote a quick letter for Celestia, just as she finished the letter Spike walked down the stairs “You two going out?”

Fizzlepop smiled “Yes we are do you mind sending this to Celestia, I need to get a Thestral perch for Moonlight and those aren’t made anymore as Thestrals haven’t been in Equestria in centuries, of course with Luna’s return they will return soon to support their queen.”

Spike frowned “Queen but isn’t she a Princess?”

Moonlight shrugged “Her full title is Princess Luna Mistress of Night, Goddess of the Arts, Master of Passion and most importantly Queen of the Thestrals.”

Spike looked at his mother “Mum how does she know that?”

Fizzlepop facehooved “Spike, she and Luna shared a body for one thousand years, why wouldn’t she know these things.”

Spike rubbed the back of his head “Right.”

Fizzlepop smiled “Well let’s head to Sugarcube Corner it’s where Pinkie works and I really didn’t check on it when I arrived yesterday.”

Fizzlepop gabbed her saddlebags and then Moonlight flew onto her wither and pointed “Let’s go.” Fizzlepop smiled as she walked out the door, she waved with her hoof with a smile at a light aquamarine and cream coloured pony who trotted bye as she walked towards the strange confectionery looking shop, they entered with a smile.

Pinkie Pie bounced out of the back, she galloped over grinning like a a madmare as she rattled off what they had “CHOCOLATECKAECHEESECAKESTRAWBERRYMARSMELLOW…”

Moonlight smiled “I just would like a strawberry cupcake please.”

Fizzlepop smiled “I would like a Vanilla Cupcake.”

The party pony smiled “Okey Dokey Lokey.” The two giggled as Pinkie Pie rushed off.

Fizzlepop rubbed the back of her head “Sorry about Pinkie Pie, she’s quite a hoofull but she throws an amazing party.”

Moonlight smiled “I know, um..” Her smile turned into a frown.

A look of concern covered Fizzlepop’s face “What wrong, are you okay?”

Moonlight looked at her mournfully “Can I call you mum?”Fizzlepop froze for a moment, Moonlight looked away “Sorry.”

Fizzlepop levitated the filly in her forelegs and smiled “Of course you can I was just a little surprised you’d ask so soon.”

Moonlight smiled “You saved me when everyone else would have condemned me not giving me a chance, mum you’re a hero to me.”

Fizzlepop hugged her “Thank you my sweet daughter.” She then looked outside “I think we need to pay a visit to the local furniture shop to get you a chest to keep any personal belongings as well as a bookshelf for any books you made need for school.”

Moonlight frowned “Why do I have to go to school?’’

Fizzlepop smiled “You want to make friends around your age don’t you?” Moonlight nodded, Fizzlepop giggled “Well then you should go to school, a lot of ponies your age will be there.”

Moonlight pouted “I’m technically older than you.”

Fizzlepop gigged “True but you are physically seven to eight years old and you will need to go to school.”

Before Moonlight could respond, Pinkie darted out leaving their food in front of them “HERE’SYOUCUPCAKESGOTTAGOMRCAKENEEDSMYHELPINTHEKITCHEN!”

Fizzlepop laughed “Well I guess we should eat.”

Moonlight looked like she was in a state of bliss as she took a bite “So good.” Fizzlepop nodded as the pair quietly ate their cupcakes.

After finishing their cupcakes they Fizzlepop asked Pinkie Pie who was at the counter “Where is the local Furniture shop?’

Pinkie Pie gave them an uncharacteristic frown “It’s in the central square with the big sign, it should have everything you need.” Moonlight and Fizzlepop gave her a few bits for their cupcakes. They shared a confused look as left the bakery, they arrived in the central square to see a sign reading (Timber Spruce’s Carpentry Shop).

Fizzlepop levitated the Moonlight onto her wither as she walked in, a light tangelo earth pony stallion with a dark aquamarine mane, he smiled “What can I do for you two ladies?”

Fizzlepop frowned “You’re Timber Spruce right, can I inquire why Pinkie Pie of all ponies dislikes this shop.”

Timber Spruce rubbed the back of his head “Yes I am Timber Spruce and as for why Pinkie Pie doesn’t like this shop is because it replaced her party supplier and now she needs to get supplies in from Manehatten.”

Fizzlepop shook her head and asked “I intend to get a wardrobe and bookshelf for my adopted daughter Moonlight, I’m here to see what you have?”

Timer Spruce smiled “Well I don’t have either those in stock at the moment but I can make them for you, they should be done in a few days.”

Fizzlepop smiled “Sure that would be great?”

Moonlight asked “Can they be dark blue please?”

Timber Spruce smiled “Of course, that will be fifty bits please.” Fizzlepop took fifty out of her saddlebags and placed them on the table. Timer Spruce waved “Thank you , I hope you both have a great day.”

They returned to the Library for a short breather only for a letter and a package lying there. Spike frowned “Celestia sent that to us, I didn’t want to read until you returned.” Fizzlepop levitated the letter in front of her face, it read

To my faithful student Fizzlepop

Luna and I manage to locate a functional thestral perch from the old days, it is in the package we sent through. Also at the bottom of this letter are four tickets for this year’s Grand Galloping Gala, one for you, one for Spike, one for Moonlight and one for one of your friends.

From your grateful teacher Celestia

Moonlight sighed “This is going to cause a lot of trouble isn’t it?” Fizzlepop nodded with a sigh of her own leaving a confused Spike looking at the two of them not understanding how this could possibly be a bad thing.

Chapter 23: Gala Tickets

Fizzlepop sighed as she glared at the last ticket “Right so what should we do with this last ticket?”

Spike blinked in confusion “We should give to one of our friends, isn’t it obvious?’

Moonlight flew up to his face and bopped his snout “Yews but who should we give to, I’m pretty sure all of them except maybe Fluttershy will want to go for one reason or another.”

Spike frowned “True but maybe you can make the decision after talking to each of them, it will help if you know why they are going?”

Fizzlepop sighed “Well that’s true, let’s just hope the town doesn’t freak out.”

Moonlight rolled her eyes “I doubt, let’s go to Applejack’s farm, hopefully she will be rational.”

Fizzlepop frowned turned to Spike “Spike I trust you can manage the Library while I’m away, I would like to get this resolved soon.”

Spike smiled “Of course, I’ll be fine.”

Fizzlepop smiled “Good we’ll be going then, come on.” Moonlight flew onto her back and the two headed directly for Sweet Apple Acres. Applejack was taking a short break as Fizzlepop walked towards her.

Applejack smiled “Fizzlepop, I thought you were busy getting stuff for Moonlight?”

Moonlight smiled “We’re done actually, it’s that Princess Celestia sent us something important and we were going to ask if you wanted it so we could make a decision on who gets it.”

Fizzlepop frowned “We have one spare ticket for Grand Galloping Gala and we were...”

Applejack shouted “You have a ticket for the Grand galloping Gala?! With one of those I could open a stall and get enough money to fix our rusty plough, holey roof and Granny Smith’s saggy old hip, I would give my hind leg to go to the Gala.”

Tempest frowned “That is a pretty good reason but I will have to ask…”

Suddenly Rainbow Dash rushed over excitedly “You have a ticket to the Grand Galloping Gala?”

Applejack growled ‘Where were you when Ah was bucking all these trees?!”

Rainbow grinned “Napping” she then turned to Fizzlepop “I heard you had an extra ticket to the Grand Galloping Gala and that the Wonderbolts are there every year I will be finally able to show them my stuff please take me.”

Applejack scowled “Now just wait a darn minute, that ticket is not yours.”

Fizzlepop shouted “Enough, I have to ask the others if they want to go as well.” She left the two ponies in the field as she walked way from the farm.

Moonlight frowned as they re-entered Ponyville central “Great now we are going to have to tell…”

They had bumped into Rarity who had just caught the ticket, she shrieked “You have a ticket to the Gala, you got to take me. There I will trot through the gala wearing the finest of cloth, so much so that the Canterlot Elite would have no idea of my origins and that Princess Celestia in all her magnificent glory will allow to meet him the brave, heroic stallion that one could ever meet, together our courtship would be magnificent and he would ask for my hoof in marriage ad of course I would say yes.”

Fizzlepop giggled at the thought of Blueblood running off to slay a dragon in the middle of their wedding. Pinkie then bounced over discovering the ticket and signing a song about it. Tempest sighed “I’m not sure of who I should give the ticket to and I haven’t asked…”

Fluttershy trotted over quietly “You said you have a spare Gala Ticket?”

Tempest nodded “Why do you want go to the Gala?”

Fluttershy smiled “Well it’s not the Gala, so much I just want to see all the animals in the royal gardens, Hummingbirds and Buzzards just to name a few.”

She frowned “Rainbow Dash, Applejack why did you follow us?”

Applejack growled “I didn’t want anyone to snag mah ticket!”

Moonlight growled “It’s not anyone’s ticket until mum decides it is!” Her stomach rumbled.

Tempest frowned “I need to get my daughter some food, so I’ll see you all later when I’ve made my decision.”

Fizzlepop headed to the local Cafe with Moonlight where they ordered a couple of haywiches, Moonlight smiled “This is great food.”

Fizzlepop smiled as she put a barrier over them daughter so the rain wouldn’t fall on them while they were eating. They soon left with a smile the rain soon passing as the storm dissipated. Applejack soon began offering her and Moonlight a whole bunch of treats for free.

Fizzlepop and Moonlight however one being who being Celestia’s student was taught to watch for ponies trying to take advantage of them and the other having a Princesses memories of ponies trying to suck up to them instantly recognised the ploy and left.

They returned to the Library to see Fluttershy’s rabbit and her cleaning. Moonlight frowned “You are not doing for the ticket are you?”

Fluttershy nodded, Fizzlepop sighed “You are not making this any easier on but at least your being honest.” The two left only for Pinkie begin singing only for everypony in town to chase them, the just as they were running past a building they quickly pulled into it before anypony could see them.

They looked up to see Rarity closing the windows with her magic. Rarity turned to them “I’m glad you are alright, that was rude of them.”

Fizzlepop frowned “Are you…”

Rarity turned away “No, what you said to me about nobles and how they weren’t the kind of ponies I should interact with I took omelet time to realise just how selfish I had been. I have lived here for years yet I have considered almost everypony in this town at best uncouth and at worst a savage, I had let my goals and wishes of fame overcome my relation to the ponies around me and I am actively trying to change that.”

Moonlight sighed “You're certainly more reasonable then most have been today.”

Rarity smiled as she pulled out a dusty brown cowl “I have about four of these, I use them when I wish to sneak out of the boutique without being noticed.”

Fizzlepop raised an eyebrow but said nothing as she left the Library with Fizzlepop wearing a cowl Moonlight hiding under it. Spike frowned as the two entered leaving the cloak by the door “Are you okay, I heard the commotion.”

Fizzlepop nodded as she magically closed all the windows and curtains with the glow of her horn “Spike everyone except Rarity kept trying to convince me to give them ticket in exchange for favours, I’m going to return the tickets it isn’t right for us to go without our friends.”

A few moments later Rarity entered under another dusty brown cowl before the rest of their friends entered. They all gave her an apology, Fizzlepop sighed “Look I can’t pick one of you so I decided I can’t go without any of you and I’m sending the tickets back.”

Applejack rubbed the back of her head “Sugarcube you don’t have to send them back if you don’t want to.”

Spike frowned “These tickets have caused nothing but trouble and we are sending them back.”

He grabbed a letter Fizzlepop had written and placed the tickets within in them before sending them back in a burst of green flame. Moonlight frowned “Now I hope you’ve learned your lesson about putting too much pressure on you friends.”

Before anypony or dragon could speak Spike burped out a letter, Fizzlepop picked it up and read it

To My Faithful student

Why didn’t you inform me, there are five extra tickets plus the ones I already sent you. I hope you enjoy the Gala.

Fizzlepop smiled as she pulled out the nine tickets “Looks like we will all be going to the Grand Galloping Gala.”

Rarity smiled “Well let me treat you all to dinner so we can celebrate, plus I need some ideas for some dresses form all of you come on.” Rainbow and Pinkie Pie cheered as Applejack followed them out the door amused with Fluttershy trailing behind.

Moonlight gave Spike what could only be described as puppy dog eyes “Come on Spike there is food awaiting us.” Spike sighed as he followed them to the local diner for a simple meal.

Chapter 24: Dark Coven

Fizzlepop awoke in the middle of the night with a frown, Moonlight woke as well. Fizzlepop frowned as she asked “Can you hear that?”

Moonlight nodded “Yeah who is that?”

Fizzlepop frowned as Spike snored “Let’s find out, come on.” The two stood on the balcony.

They poked their heads up to see multiple figures in dust brown cowls on the border of the Everfree Forest, one of them spoke “We are already later for the meeting.”

The other growled in a familiar accent “Ah ain’t leaving until she gets here!”

Fizzlepop and Moonlight turned to each other “So Applejack and someone else are waiting for someone.”

Suddenly a pegasi in a brown cowl flew over, her light blue wings slightly poking out from under the cowl “So are we going now?”

Applejack nodded “Yes let’s go, come on the others are waiting.”

Fizzlepop turned to Moonlight “Let’s follow them.”

Moonlight smiled “Yes, I want to know what they are doing.” Fizzlepop levitated the filly onto her wither and caste a invisibility spell on them before jumping off the balcony. Fizzlepop then ran after the three ponies who headed into the Everfree Forest.

They frowned as they slowly followed the three ponies, the flying one groaned “Rarity why do we have to go this far into the forest?”

Fizzlepop looked at Moonlight mouthing “Rarity.”

Rarity growled “Rainbow, if we did it someone less private everypony would know what we do out here and we would be arrested and executed.” Fizzlepop and Moonlight turned to each other with a mix of shock and confusion.

They followed them as they approached a massive boulder, Rarity, Rainbow and Applejack's eyes glowed green as Rarity’s horn, Rainbow’s wings and Applejack’s hooves glowed purple as the boulder moved in a purple glow, after the three entered the boulder moved over the hole behind them. Fizzlepop frowned letting their invisibility dissipate “We need to get in there and speak to them.”

Moonlight blinked “Shouldn’t we report to Celestia that they are using dark magic?”

Fizzlepop rolled her eyes “I have been using dark magic for years right under her nose.”

Moonlight turned to her in shock “Really?”

Fizzlepop frowned “Dark magic isn’t evil as long as you don’t let it control you, now let’s get in there, unfortunately Celestia doesn’t see it that way.”

Moonlight nodded “That makes sense.”

Meanwhile Applejack, Rarity and Rainbow Dash wandered deeper into a cave, they walked into the room to see Octavia, Bon Bon, Lyra, Vinyl, Cloud Kicker and Muffins in the large underground caverns.

Vinyl and Lyra were playing cards around a plain wooden table in what was a nicely furnished cave system, Octavia leaned back on the couch smiled as her hooves glowed a purple a glass of wine floating over to her muzzle “I’m glad to see your here, I was worried you being bearers of Equestria’s super-weapons might have made you too busy to attend.”

Rarity shrugged as she sat down beside the two earth ponies “Never.”

Cloud Kicker grinned “Rainbow want to join me for some ‘special time’ out the back.”

Muffins smacked her over the back of the head “Cloud Kicker enough, you don’t have to…”

Rainbow grinned “Sure” and they flew into the back room with a grin. Then the minor sound of one pony pounding the other into a bed was heard.

Muffins grumbled “Why I am the only Pegasus in this group that doesn’t enjoy that?” She trots over to Vinyl and Lyra as she takes a seat “Deal me in.”

Applejack meanwhile was sitting next to Bon Bon “Any idea for any new recipes?”

Bon Bon smiled “Yeah, I have trying to mix chocolate with apples but it hasn’t worked so far and…” everyone blinked except for the two out the back heard the boulder move.

Rarity began to cry “I’m too young to die, Princess Celestia has found us.”

Octavia smiled “Stay calm, I’ll keep you safe.”

Vinyl, Derpy and Lyra had got into battle stances around the door. Applejack and Bon Bon were eyeing the door warily. Fizzlepop walked into the room with a grin her eyes glowing green as purple tails flowed out of them “Relax I get it.”

Applejack blinked “How did you get here?”

Moonlight poked her head out “Invisibility spell, we heard voices outside and you three were outside the Everfree Forest looking like creepy things. Not to mention Applejack’s accent is instantly recognisable.”

Applejack frowned “Ah have no accent.”

Fizzlepop eyes returned to normal as she frowned, she turned around as she heard pounding “What is going on back there?!”

Muffins trotted over “Rainbow and Cloud Kicker are banging each other back there.”

Fizzlepop scowled “A foal is present!”

Moonlight rolled her eyes “Luna has done much worse, she had sex with ten stallions and twenty mares at once, don’t ask me how.”

Octavia raised an eyebrow “How does she know that?”

Moonlight jumped onto the floor before flaring out her bat wings her eyes glowing with green light and purple trails before her form shifted into that of her old form for a few seconds before reverting back to normal. Moonlight smiled “I used to be Nightmare Moon but now I’m just a normal filly.”

The pounding stopped followed by Rainbow Dash and Cloud Kicker flying in, Rainbow turned to Fizzlepop “Are you going to tell Celestia about us?”

Fizzlepop laughed “I wouldn’t do that.” She summoned her dark magic “Proof enough for you.”

Rainbow smiled “Yep.”

Rarity frowned “I believe we need to appoint a leader for our Coven.”

Applejack frowned “We need a circle ten or above dark mage and there hasn’t been one of that power since Sombra. We all know how well that went.”

Fizzlepop smiled “Actually I have mastered all twelve circles of dark magic.”

Octavia smiled “Looks like we have our leader.” The group had a small party as they celebrated their new leader.

Chapter 1 Sun's Shock

Celestia yawned as she raised the sun into the sky. She was going to pick her personal student today. She sighed as Sunset came to mind, she thought to herself (I have to do better this time.)

On the lower end of Canterlot a filly named Fizzlepop was excited about her chance to enter Celestia’s School for Gifted Unicorns. Her mother, Poptart Skyloft and her father Skyhound Pop were incredibly pleased. The only thing that upset Fizzlepop was her big brother; Storm Blast was too busy to join them.

Poptart's mane was a beautiful rose like her daughters, her eyes were a dark green and her coat was a deep blue, she was quite round as she often tasted her own baked goods. Skybound on the other had a deep black mane, a dark coat of orchid like his daughter and shared her opal coloured eyes, he was built as big as the strongest earth ponies. Fizzlepop was shaking as her family headed towards the huge testing building for all of Celestia’s potential students.

Poptart asked “What’s wrong?”

Fizzlepop whimpered “I’m scared.”

Skybound frowned “You’re the most powerful Unicorn our family has ever produced; you have no reason to be worried.”

Poptart smiled “It’ll be alright, we’ll be right there for you.” They entered a room for parents and foals, many of the foals were older than her. Poptart smiled “I think you should spend some time with the other foals.”

Fizzlepop smiled meekly “Hi.”

An light orange colt with a dark orange mane wearing glasses smiled “Hi, I’m Sunburst. You are quite young; you must be quite capable if you are here.”

Fizzlepop replied “Thanks.”

A filly burst out of nowhere “I am the Great and Powerful Trixie, I am the most powerful foal here.”

Fizzlepop raised an eyebrow before she heard another voice “Trixie, please can you stop?”

She turned around to see a violet filly with a dark blue mane that had two streaks, one raspberry and the other purple. Trixie scowled “Twilight, you will never understand the true majesty of the Great and Powerful Trixie.”

Fizzlepop’s eyes widened as Trixie’s horn glowed and was about to fire a barrage of magic at Twilight. Fizzlepop’s horn glowed and with a pop she appeared in front of Twilight, she then created a dome of magic around them as Trixie fired her spells. Fizzlepop sighed, each of Trixie’s blasts were so weak they did no damage to the shield. All of the foals who were drawn to the incident were shocked at the light purple shield. Twilight smiled “Thank you.”

Fizzlepop smiled “Your welcome” before turning to Trixie with a scowl; she snarled “Trixie, we don’t come here to murder each other. What the hell where you thinking?! Magic is a gift to be respected not a tool to be abused!”

Many of the adults turned to the pair who was glaring at each other. An elderly green stallion with a red tome as a cutie mark entered the room. He frowned “What’s going on here?”

A mare with 3 stars on her flank spoke up “An incident happened involving my daughter, Twilight and 2 other foals.”

Fizzlepop gulped as the elder stallion eyes looked at her closely “That is an impressive shield, especially for a filly of your age. Can you tell me what happened here?”

Fizzlepop frowned “Trixie tried to attack Twilight with a barrage of magic because she was advised to tone down her ego down by an inch or two.”

The elderly stallion asked the surrounding foals “Is this true?”

The surrounding foals nodded at him, he sighed as he walked over to Trixie’s parents and shook his head. Trixie looked downtrodden as her parents frowned at her and they left the building. Twilight frowned “I don’t feel it was fair for her to get kicked out, she deserved the chance.”

Fizzlepop said “Twilight, this just means her fragile ego will be safe a little longer. Her magic power was very poor, it did nothing to my shield.”

Twilight asked “How do you have so much power? I’m 8 years old, your 5.”

Fizzlepop smiled “I learn magic like how most ponies lean how to walk. Now that I think about it my name came from the fact they had to catch me when I was foal as I teleported away from them.”

Twilight and Sunburst who was watching the pair gasped “Most Unicorns struggle to learn how to teleport.”

Fizzlepop said “I’ve always been powerful or so my parents keep telling me.”

The elderly stallion said “We are ready to begin.”

We lined up with the 3 of us at the end, Sunburst, Twilight and then me. I waited with my parents as countless children went in and out, Sunburst shivered “Are you two scared? I mean look at all those foals that went before us, I’m next.”

Fizzlepop said “I’m scared too.” Twilight was shaking so badly, Fizzlepop smiled as she rubbed her back “Remember you are capable, I’ll be here and regardless of what happens I’ll be happy.” Twilight nodded as she and Fizzlepop watched Sunburst entered the room.

The sound of magic going off echoed for 10 minutes, Sunburst trotted out afterwards looking at his hooves “I failed, I couldn't do it.”

Fizzlepop smiled “Relax, I doubt whatever the test in there has to be completed in the way you think or else they wouldn’t have any students.”

Twilight smiled nervously “Yeah, well wish me luck.” Twilight came out in 5 minutes crying “I couldn’t do it, I was not powerful enough.”

Fizzlepop gave her a hug “You gave it your all, that’s all that matters. I’ll join you on the other side.”

Fizzlepop entered the large empty hall with 3 ponies sitting there; she stared at the dragon egg in the centre. She thought (If that is their criteria for getting into the school, then they will have no new students except maybe me, I’m the only one left.)

The elderly stallion from before sat on his warm chair as he said “You can begin.” Fizzlepop poured magic into the egg, smiling as it began to crack. Her smile was as big as her muzzle by the time the egg cracked. Then just as she was about to finish a rainbow had flown past accompanied by a loud boom. Fizzlepop’s magic flew out of control as her eyes glowed white; the hatched dragon grew to the size of the building. All the ponies in the room including her parents were turned into stumps.

Princess Celestia who was watching the tests galloped out of the hidden room, heading for Fizzlepop who hovered in the air firing bolts of magic everywhere.

As she approached magic flung out but to her shock it pushed her through the building onto the ground crushing her, she could only watch in horror as all the ponies in the building evacuated as Fizzlepop’s magic grew wilder and wilder. Celestia was so horrified that she didn’t notice the damage being done to her body, the broken legs, and the cracked ribs.
Then the magic eased up allowing her to stand. She grimaced as the pain of her broken legs hit her, then she watched as beams fired continuously in multiple directions.

In Griffonstone, huge purple beams tore through the remaining buildings. Griffons were screaming and running for cover.

Further away in the Badlands, Queen Chrysalis was planning her invasion of Equestria to take place in two weeks. A Changeling rushed in and bowed “My Queen we’re under attack by magic.”

She screamed “What?!” She then stormed out only to see purple beams tearing through her hive. She screamed “How, my hive’s throne can nullify even Discord’s magic, who is doing this?”

Further still on Mount Aris the Hippogriffs were valiantly fighting against the Storm Kings forces until several large purple beams tore through both armies. Queen Novo sent an order to retreat and said “The land above the ground is too dangerous, through this orb we will live under the sea.” Her people agreed and by the time the Storm King’s Army recovered enough to attack again the Hippogriffs they had vanished into the deep sea.

Celestia back in Canterlot prayed “Please by the power within you powerful sun grant me the power to stop this before more are harmed.” Celestia’s horn glowed as the sun’s might flowed through her body burning with the brightest flames. She focused her magic to nullify Fizzlepop’s magic surge. Celestia managed to suppress the magic surge and smiled as she caught the young filly. Celestia used the little magic she had left over to reverse the effect of the magic surge except for repairing the destroyed buildings.

Nopony was hurt due to the quick thinking of little miss Twilight Sparkle, who organised the vacation super efficiently while also proving her magical talent in a practical scenario. Still the most shocking part of the event was how much damage Celestia had taken, 3 of her legs were shattered completely. She had several broken ribs and suffered magic drain so severe her mane had returned to a pink colour. Still she smiled “I have found my new personal student.”

Poptart and Skybound were crying in their hooves. Celestia smiled “Would it be okay for your daughter to live in the castle?”

The parents smiled “Of course, we hope she will make some more friends.” They then frowned “Still we’re sorry for your injuries.”

Celestia waved her one good hoof “Don’t worry about it, still I’ll need some time to recover, I will need to be able to raise the sun tomorrow and the moon tonight.” Celestia and Fizzlepop were escorted to the castle to recover.

Chapter 12: Fizzlepop's rage

Fizzlepop smiled as she and Sunburst were riding in chariot, Sunburst fidgeted “Why didn’t Twilight and Trixie come?”

Fizzlepop frowned “Twilight felt bad about something and wanted to spend some more time with her.” Fizzlepop rested a hoof on his shoulder “It’s okay to be nervous, just take a deep breath.”

Sunburst slumped “What if she’s angry with me.”

Fizzlepop frowned “I don’t know, I don’t have all the answers to everything but you should try anyway it’s all you can do.”

Sunburst smiled “Thanks for being honest.” The chariot got into range of the town, Fizzlepop’s eyes widened as strange robed ponies carrying spears were burning the town to the ground, Sunburst gasped “What are they doing to my hometown?!”

Fizzlepop’s eyes glowed with rage “Nothing I won’t stop!”

Fizzlepop teleported down to the ground, two robed ponies one unicorn mare and the other a pegasi stallion were pulling spears out a few dead ponies lying on the ground. Fizzlepop growled at them “What do you think you two are doing?!”

The two ponies boasted “We are the Cutie Mark Cultists and we deem these ponies as undeserving of their lives as they abuse their Cutie Marks.”

Fizzlepop screamed as she summoned two magical spear which nearly instantaneously tore through their skulls “You useless piles of shit, you dare kill ponies for such an insane reason. I will kill you all!”

Fizzlepop grabbed a piece of cloth off one of the bodies, she screamed her eyes glowing red as magic built up within her causing her to fly into the air. Her horn glowed latching onto the fabric as she summoned thousands upon thousands of spears that flew in every direction spearing every cultist in the area.

Sunburst was left in a state shock and awe as the chariot landed, the guards frowned “We’ll clean this up.”

Fizzlepop looked around “What did I do?!”

Sunburst slowly trotted out before looking at her friend “You killed all the cultists attacking the town.”

Fizzlepop began to wail “No no no!” She began to scream as she saw blood on her hooves “No No…”

She heard a voice she looked up to see the first ponies she killed, they chuckled with their heads split in half “You are just like us a monster, a killer.”

Fizzlepop cried “No No I’m not, I’m not, I”M NOT!”

Sunburst galloped over to her “Fizzlepop you lost your temper and maybe you made a mistake but so we all make mistakes. It’s important to learn and grow from them, all these ponies were murderers and killers, fanatical in their approach to a stupid ideal.”

A voice called out to him “Sunburst.”

Fizzlepop dried her tears as she looked up, she saw a pinkish coated pony, Fizzlepop smiled “Go.”

The filly trotted over “I’m glad your back Sunburst, I was wondering why you weren’t writing back to me?”

Sunburst sighed “Starlight, I just felt that when we played together you demanded so much of me. When I left I felt like you were hurting me on purpose demanding that I do things you way so I cut off ties.” Starlight’s eyes widened, Sunburst frowned “I met a mare named Trixie, I judged her prematurely and only saw what was a shadow of her true self, I realised I had done the same with you, you didn’t see how you were hurting me and instead of talking to you I just cut you out.”

Starlight cried as she wrapped her friend in a hug “I’m so sorry, I just wanted you to stay with me.”

Sunburst sighed “I can’t stay here, I have to go back to Canterlot.”

Fizzlepop trotted over her horn glowing as she scanning Starlight, she blinked “I believe she can come with us, she has immense magical potential.”

Starlight smiled “Really.”

Fizzlepop nodded “Yes, you’ll just have to speak to your parents, I’ll go and wait in the carriage.”

Fizzlepop into the carriage and begun to cry again, Starlight and her father Firelight approached the carriage, Firelight frowned “Why is she crying?”

Starlight blinked “I have no idea.”

Sunburst jumped into the carriage “The guards driving the carriage have informed me have that their message spell has arrived at Princess Celestia’s office and…” Fizzlepop’s wails grew louder, Sunburst ran over to Fizzlepop hugging her “The Princess will understand you did what you lost your temper and beside you saved this town.”

Firelight’s jaw dropped “She did all that?”

Starlight blinked “Did what?”

Firelight rubbed her back “It doesn't matter right now Sweet Pea, I’ll tell you when your older.” Sunburst sat there comforting his friend as they returned to the castle.
